Juventus have launched a new grey third kit, which is made from recycled ocean plastic.

The company Parley for the Oceans looks to turn plastic they collect from seas and oceans into luxury goods, and has a partnership with Adidas.

As a result, the new grey and yellow Juve third kit is made from 100 per cent recycled polyester, incorporating recycled plastic from the oceans.

“The dark grey shade with yellow accents makes it the perfect jersey to be worn either on pitch or on the streets,” said Adidas designed Francesca Venturini.

Jul 19, 2018

Juventus have announced that they have sold out their season-ticket allocation for the coming season.

A statement on Juve’s website confirms 29,300 tickets, 4,000 of them premium passes, have been sold for the 2018-19 campaign.

Ninety-five perfect of them are renewals from last season, with the remaining 5% snapped up by club members, meaning none will go on general sale.

CalcioNews24 adds the Bianconeri have earned ‘more than €30m’ from the sales, despite prices going up by 30%.

It comes just three days after Cristiano Ronaldo was unveiled as an Old Lady player for the first time.

Juve fans sign Conte petition

"Conte, stella via dallo Stadium": petizione tifosi Juve

https://www.football-italia.net/138733/juve-fans-sign-conte-petition

May 30, 2019

Over 3,000 Juventus fans have signed a petition asking for Antonio Conte’s star to be removed from the club’s stadium.

The user ‘Buddy Guy Black & White’ created the Change.org page in response to Conte’s imminent appointment at Inter, who are traditionally Juve’s closest rivals.

“Antonio Conte was a beloved captain, who also played with his heart,” it read.

“Then he became our Coach and won us an unexpected Scudetto without a top squad after Calciopoli and seventh places.

“That could be compared, I think, to winning a Champions League, precisely because of the historical importance attached to it... then he left for reasons that are probably not entirely clear, two days before the start of the season.

“Not a nice thing but, so far, it still falls into logic... What will be, as far as I’m concerned, an indelible divide with Conte is his landing at Inter...

“We know Coaches, as well as players and directors, are professionals, who have every right to make professional choices that go beyond ‘belonging’.

“If Mou came to Juve, he would’ve done nothing wrong to Inter, just as if Sarri did or Capello to Roma in the past, because things that are said during the course of a season all add up in dialectical clashes dictated by the moment, from situations on the field...

“In the case of Conte at Inter, I think it’s something very different. He’s not just a former Juventus player or a professional going to a rival team. Many have done that in the past...

“Here we have a person going to a club where, internally, even today, there are individuals like Zanetti or [Pirelli chief Marco] Tronchetti Provera, to pick two names at random, who have never hid their opinions about Juventus, who stole Scudetti from the same Juventus that Conte played for and was a protagonist for.

“Going to Inter isn’t a professional choice for Conte. A professional choice would be to go to Napoli, Roma, Milan...

“Going to Inter means joining a club who have tried, luckily without succeeding, through several more or less clear channels, to destroy us and throw dirt on the history of which Conte was undoubtedly the protagonist...

“Going to Inter isn’t a professional choice. Going to Inter will mean trampling on one’s dignity first...

“As far as I'm concerned, the star at the stadium represents what being a ‘juventino’ is about and not just the past...

“In making this jump, Conte no longer represents the ‘juventino’ spirit and values that embody the other stars.

“[Zibi] Boniek wasn’t given one for the same reason, and he was more worthy of it than Conte right now.”

The 49-year-old played 400 times for the Bianconeri as a player, winning five Scudetti and a Champions League.

He later led the Old Lady to three Scudetti as a Coach, prior to stepping down in 2014.

Conte dismisses Juve past

https://www.football-italia.net/139002/conte-dismisses-juve-past

Jun 6, 2019

Antonio Conte has insisted that working for Inter is ‘normal’, despite his Juventus past.

Inter marks Conte’s first role since leaving Chelsea last July, and the former Italy CT says he is ready to end the Nerazzurri’s trophy drought.

“I must work very hard. I need to work, it’s in my DNA,” he told GQ, in excerpts of an interview released next week.

“The presence of [Beppe] Marotta helped me join Inter because it was confirmation that they had very serious intentions.

“For eight seasons, they haven’t fought for first place. They want to change that, and I was struck by [Steven] Zhang’s determination.

“I know there are expectations placed on me, given the results I’ve achieved and the speed with which they came.

“I can accept having only a little chance of winning at first, but that must change. We can win things, we have no limits.”

The 49-year-old has a long affinity with Juve, who are considered the Beneamata’s fiercest rivals...

“It’s normal to work for different clubs. I look forward to bringing Inter where they belong. The fans expect a lot, and they do well to support the team.”

Jun 6, 2019

Former Juventus and Atalanta defender Paolo Montero has been named the new Coach of Serie C side Sambenedettese.

The role marks Montero’s first as the Coach of an Italian club and his first since leaving Argentine side Rosario Central in 2017.

The 47-year-old played 277 times for Juve between 1996 and 2005, winning four Scudetti and reaching three Champions League Finals.

Indeed, he is one of three players with the most Champions League Final appearances to not win the trophy, alongside ex-teammates Alessio Tacchinardi and Gianluigi Buffon.

Sambenedettese, for their part, have been refounded four times since their establishment in 1923 and will spend another season in Serie C after defeat in the promotion playoffs.

Michel Platini arrested

https://www.football-italia.net/139560/report-michel-platini-arrested

Jun 18, 2019

It is reported Juventus legend and ex-UEFA chief Michel Platini has been arrested over his role in the awarding of the 2022 World Cup to Qatar.

According to French publication Mediapart, Platini was taken into custody on Tuesday morning, specifically the Anti-Corruption Office of the Judicial Police (OCLCIFF).

It is there that he would have been drawn into the investigation over the awarding of the World Cup in Qatar.

The 63-year-old was UEFA President between 2007 and 2015 before he was forced to step down after he was banned from all football-related activities the FIFA Ethics Committee.

The decision to give Qatar hosting duties for the next World Cup has been marred by controversy over the country’s human-rights record, stance on homosexuality and the integrity of its bid.

Platini is considered one of Juve’s all-time greats, with 103 goals in 222 appearances for the Bianconeri, winning two Scudetti and a European Cup.

The Frenchman previously admitted to holding a secret meeting with disgraced official Mohamed bin Hammam shortly before casting his vote for Qatar.

He also revealed last year how he used ‘a little trickery’ to ensure France did not meet Brazil until the Final of the 1998 World Cup.

Platini denies corruption links

Risultati immagini per platini oggi

https://www.football-italia.net/139571/platini-denies-corruption-links

Jun 18, 2019

Ex-UEFA chief Michel Platini has pleaded his innocence after being implicated in possible corruption over Qatar’s awarding of the World Cup.

Platini was detained by French police on Tuesday morning, as part of an investigation into how Qatar were given the 2022 World Cup.

However, the Juventus legend responded in a statement: “Michel Platini, after being heard in the same investigation in open court last year, is now questioned under the regime of custody for technical reasons.

“His counsel, Mr William Bourdon, strongly asserts that this is in no way an arrest, but a hearing as a witness in the context desired by the investigators, a framework that prevents all persons heard, then confronted, cannot confer outside the procedure.

“Michel Platini expresses himself serenely and precisely, answering all the questions, including those on the conditions for the awarding of Euro 2016, and has provided useful explanations.

“He has nothing to reproach himself with and claims to be totally foreign to facts the go beyond him.

“He is absolutely confident about what’s next.”

'Platini no longer in custody'

https://www.football-italia.net/139600/platini-no-longer-custody

Jun 19, 2019

Michel Platini’s lawyer has confirmed that the former UEFA President is no longer in custody but hit out at fuss ‘being created about nothing’.

Platini was detained by French police on Tuesday morning, as part of an investigation into how Qatar were given the 2022 World Cup.

He later released a statement distancing himself from alleged corruption, and he has now been freed from custody.

“He’s no longer in custody: a fuss has been created about nothing,” lawyer William Bourdon told France Football.

The 63-year-old is considered one of Juventus’ all-time greats, with 103 goals in 222 appearances for the Bianconeri, winning two Scudetti and a European Cup.

However, he was forced to step down from his role as UEFA chief in 2015 after he was banned from all football-related activities by the FIFA Ethics Committee.

Former Juventus striker David Trezeguet has had his driving license withdrawn after being caught under the influence behind the wheel.

The Frenchman initially refused to be breathalysed and only did so an hour later.

Hope Juventus will help Notts County with 'fantastic gesture'

Lilian Greenwood MP has asked the Old Lady to help give Notts fresh kit for next season, 116 years after the Magpies did the same for Juve

Lilian Greenwood MP hopes Notts County’s strong bond with Juventus will lead to the Italian giants helping the club out with a new kit for the new season.

Nottinghamshire Live revealed on Wednesday how the Labour MP is writing to the Serie A side to ask them to repay a 116-year-old favour after the Magpies furnished Juve with their famous black and white stripes in 1903.

Due to the financial crisis engulfing Meadow Lane, Notts’ new first-team shirts are currently sitting in a warehouse waiting to be delivered until the new owners pay for them.

But so far a takeover deal is yet to materialise, with a Danish consortium still the favoured party to seal a deal for the club that has been on the market since January.

Now Ms Greenwood  hopes the relationship between the two clubs, which saw Notts also open their new stadium in 2011,  can once again be utilised in the Magpies’ hour of need.

Juve repaid 116-year Notts County favour

Risultati immagini per juventus notts county

Juventus tried to repay a 116-year debt to Notts County by lending their kits, but were denied by a sponsorship contract.

The Bianconeri famously played in pink at their inception, but changed to black and white stripes after Notts County let them borrow the kit in 1903.

With Notts County now in serious financial trouble, the Nottingham Post reveals Lilian Greenwood MP had written to Juve asking for the favour in return.

Juventus were more than happy to oblige and sent a letter asking for details on how to send over the jerseys for the 2019-20 season.

“Considering the long-lasting relation between the two clubs, Juventus would have gladly assisted in providing new kits for next season,” wrote Juve head of communications Claudio Albanese.

“We have already held talks with our technical sponsor, Adidas, to inform them of the situation and they immediately contacted Notts County to arrange equipment supply.

“Unfortunately, as it turns out, the club has a two-year binding agreement with Puma that doesn’t allow them wear any other brand.

“Thank you for the letter. We wish Notts County all the best for the future.”

Notts County were the first opponents at the new Juventus Stadium when it was inaugurated in 2011, playing a 1-1 draw.

There was another issue, as this season Juve have controversially done away with the black and white stripes, using block colours instead.

Juventus Stadium anniversary

Sep 8, 2019

Today is the eighth anniversary of the Juventus Stadium’s first official match and the Bianconeri have won 79 per cent of their games here, losing just 10 out of 208.

The arena was built over the old Stadio Delle Alpi and recently renamed the Allianz Juventus Stadium.

It hosted the first competitive match on September 8, 2011, the opening Serie A game against Parma.

Antonio Conte’s men went on to win the Scudetto, the first of eight in a row for the Bianconeri, and didn’t suffer their first defeat here until Inter emerged with a 3-1 result on November 3, 2012.

Between Serie A, the Champions League and Coppa Italia, the Old Lady lost just 10 of their total 208 games at the Juventus Stadium.

They won 164 – a whopping 79 per cent – and drew 34.

The only teams to win here were Inter, Sampdoria, Bayern Munich, Fiorentina, Udinese, Lazio, Real Madrid, Napoli, Manchester United and Ajax.

Court hears Ferguson, Conte allegations

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor manchester united juventus

https://www.football-italia.net/145344/court-hears-ferguson-conte-allegations

Oct 17, 2019

Agent Giuseppe ‘Pino’ Pagliara is on trial in England for bribery, having told an undercover reporter he helped Sir Alex Ferguson ‘fix’ a Manchester United match with Juventus and gave then-Chelsea manager Antonio Conte back-handers.

This is the same trial and general undercover sting operation from the Daily Telegraph that forced England manager Sam Allardyce to resign.

Pagliara, fellow agent Dax Price and former Barnsley assistant coach Tommy Wright are on trial at Southwark Crown Court for bribery.

Prosecutor Brian O’Neill QC said in court today that Pagliara accused Ferguson of conspiring to fix a Champions League game between Manchester United and Juventus.

“Towards the end of the meeting Pagliara launched into what could only be described as a diatribe of Sir Alex Ferguson, accusing him of having conspired with Pagliara to fix the result of a football match between Juventus, a club which Pagliara was associated with, and Manchester United in the Champions League for which Pagliara had thanked him with a gold 30 grand Rolex watch.

“Pagliara went on to accuse Sir Alex Ferguson of having taken money as part of transfer deals. He claimed that he had paid Ferguson before,” said the prosecutor.

He also alleged that he had “opened so many Swiss bank accounts for managers that you would not believe.”

The crux of the matter was circumventing third-party ownership rules and Coaches receiving ‘back-handers’ to help facilitate transfer deals.

“'You have to have an offshore account somewhere and that's where we do it. For example Antonio Conte [then head coach at Chelsea] has winked at us and said, ‘Yeah, I want that player, is there a little coffee for me Pino?’”

“Yeah, that's what he'll say: yeah of course there is and now I'm negotiating a coffee as well and we are not talking about a double espresso.”

The payment would then be disguised as a consultancy agreement by someone else.

Pagliara said after the sting in September 2016 that he had “lied” about all these allegations in a bid to impress the undercover reporter, who was posing as a businesswoman.

“I allowed them to believe the managers I was speaking to would not drop the money on the floor if I gave it to them,” Pagliara told BBC Sport two years ago.

“I felt there was no harm in me saying that, then they’d let me get on with the job of football. Of course, I lied, because I knew if they were talking to other agents, they would lie too, so it’s a question of lying more so that they would renew my contract.

“They mentioned the names and I said ‘yes, yes, yes.’ When they identified themselves as the Daily Telegraph, I told them to go and check if I’d done business with these people. They will have seen I had never done any business with those clubs or managers.”

Pagliara has never registered as a football agent with the English FA.

Both Pagliara and his associates deny the allegations. The trial continues.

Juventus and Torino unite their tragedies in Superga and Heysel square

heyselmem01-940x626.jpg

In a brilliant initiative organized by the municipality of Piscina, Juventus and Torino unitedly paid tributes to the victims of two separate tragic events.

Children from the two clubs’ youth sectors shared the pitch in an event that commemorated two tragedies that marked the history of Italian football.

On the 4th of May 1949, the Superga air disaster ended the lives of 31 persons, including the members of the greatest squad in Torino’s history. That group dominated Italian football at the time.

As for the Heysel disaster, it occurred on the 29th of May 1985. Juventus won their first European Cup on that day at Liverpool’s expense, but it turned out to be a miserable memory for the club, as 39 Bianconeri supporters lost their lives due to crowd trouble before the kickoff.

To make matters even worse, some supporters from both clubs (and others as well) have used these tragic incidents for taunt and banter in the past. ........

Soldi e Miretti, super colpo Juve in Serie A - calciomercatonews.com

Since March 2022, Fabio Miretti has been a member of the Juventus first team. The midfielder is a youth product of the club who took advantage of an injury crisis to get his breakthrough with the senior squad. ........

On Saturday, the Italian celebrated his 50th appearance with the first team. He started for Max Allegri’s side in the 3-1 win over Lazio.

Miretti made history by reaching this milestone at a younger age than Juventus icons Alessandro Del Piero and Claudio Marchisio.

As the source explains, no Bianconeri player in recent times has managed to make 50 appearances for the club at a younger age.

When Del Piero was at Miretti’s age (20 years and one month), he had 35 appearances to his name.

Nicolo Fagioli 'at risk of three-year ban for illegal betting'

Juventus' Nicolo Fagioli 'at risk of three-year ban for illegal betting'

The 22-year-old has blossomed into an important player for the Italian giants in recent months. ...........

A second scandal has now hit the Old Lady, as Fagioli is now under investigation by prosecutors for apparent betting on illegal platforms.

Fagioli's profile and the profiles of others have supposedly been cross-referenced by the investigative team, and the Turin Prosecutor's Office have been working on the findings for a number of months.

Public prosecutor Manuela Pedrotta is now said to be overseeing the file, while the midfielder's lawyers are also reported to have submitted a statement at the end of August amid fears of a lengthy suspension.

While gambling itself is not a crime, individuals can be sanctioned for betting on illegal platforms, while athletes are also not permitted to gamble on the sport which they practice.

The Prosecutors's Office will now determine whether Fagioli did indeed take part in illegal gambling, which could potentially carry a ban of up to three years if the 22-year-old is found guilty. ............

Frosinone director believes Juventus could recall young duo in January

Soule

Since the start of the season, Frosinone has cemented itself as the ultimate Dark Horse in Serie A. ............

For their part, Juventus have been closely monitoring the newcomers’ progress, as three of their youngsters currently play on loan at the Benito Stirpe Stadium.

While Kaio Jorge is still working on regaining his optimal physical shape following a long injury layoff, Matias Soulé and Enzo Barrenechea have already established themselves as regular starters in Eusebio Di Francesco’s 4-3-3 formation.

However, Frosinone technical director Guido Angelozzi believes Juventus could recall the Argentine duo in January and he suggests that his club won’t stand in the way.

“For us, they are fundamental players, let’s start from this point. But given the relationship between the two companies, we’ll have to sit down and discuss it” ..................

Italy abolishes the Growth Decree – How it will affect Juventus

Timothy Weah Juventus

In recent years, Italian clubs have been able to count on the Growth Decree to reduce their wage costs.

This decree allowed the clubs to save 50% on taxes related to player salaries when signing players from abroad.

However, many have considered it discrimination against domestic players, with Italian sides leaning towards signing foreigners to take advantage of the rule.

So the Italian government has now decided to abolish the Growth decree with a retroactive effect dating back to the summer.

As for Juventus, this will only affect the wages of Timothy Weah who was the club’s solitary signing in the summer. The retroactive effect will increase the American’s gross salary. ............
