Juventus Add Chelsea Winger To Their Wanted List

http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2015/06/juventus-add-chelsea-winger-to-their-wanted-list/?

Jun 20, 2015

Chelsea star Juan Cuadrado is being monitored by Serie A champions Juventus, who may bring him back to Italy just five months after leaving.

The former Fiorentina winger has reportedly had trouble adjusting to life at Stamford Bridge after joining the west London club in January, and despiting claiming Premier League and League Cup winners’ medals the Colombian could be set for an exit.

According to Sport Italia, the Bianconeri may test the Blues’ resolve to keep hold of the former Fiorentina player this summer, though they have yet to table an official bid at this stage.

Cuadrado cost Chelsea an initial fee of €32.5 million when leaving Florence during the winter transfer window, having previously featured for Udinese and Lecce earlier in his career.

He made 12 league appearances for his new club last season, only four of which came from the start. He also featured once each in Champions League and League Cup action.

Juventus To Pursue Another Chelsea Star After Oscar Rebuff

http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2015/07/juventus-to-pursue-another-chelsea-star-after-oscar-rebuff/?

Jul 3, 2015

Reigning Serie A champions Juventus have identified another Chelsea target, after reportedly turning its attention to speedster Willian.

Speculation had recently suggested the Bianconeri were keen admirers of fellow Blues midfielder Oscar, but it appears those efforts to acquire the Brazilian have been in vain.

Accordingly, the Daily Mirror are reporting that Juventus have ended its pursuit of Oscar and will instead track his teammate and compatriot in Willian from the West London outfit.

Rumours have also intimated forward Juan Cuadrado could be sold by Chelsea, following a number of unconvincing performances, with Massimiliano Allegri’s side said to be monitoring the situation.

Willian, 26, is under contract until June 2018 and netted two goals in 36 league matches, helping the Blues lift its first English Premier League title in five years.

Juventus eye move for
Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado?

http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/chelsea/transfer-talk/news/juventus-eye-juan-cuadrado_232037.html

Jul 5, 2015

Juventus are reportedly keeping tabs on Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado.

The Colombian midfielder joined the Blues for a fee in the region of £27m during last season's January transfer window, but is yet to make a prominent mark as part of Jose Mourinho's starting XI.

Juve are thought to have held an interest in other Chelsea stars Oscar, Mohamed Salah and Willian, and The Mirror now suggests that the club are also keen on exploring the option of taking Cuadrado on loan with a view to a permanent deal.

Cuadrado, who has recently been on international duty with his country, has previously been backed by his agent to remain at Stamford Bridge next season.

Juventus Make Chelsea Winger Top Target

http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2015/07/juventus-make-chelsea-winger-top-target/?

Jul 12, 2015

Juventus have reportedly made Chelsea’s Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado their top transfer target after he has struggled to adapt in England after joining from Fiorentina in January 2015.

The Blues are thought to be willing to allow Cuadrado to leave on account of his disappointing start but have set a high asking price for the player.

According to Tuttosport, Chelsea have set a deliberately exaggerated fee of €34 million while Juve sporting director Giuseppe Marotta is keen on a loan deal with the option to make the move permanent for €24m.

Cuadrado still has four years left on his contract at Chelsea and it is still possible that he will stay at Stamford Bridge despite his limited impact since arriving from the Viola but the Old Lady still want to send representatives to London to discuss a deal.

Juve are thought to have been dealt a blow in their attempts to sign Oscar from Chelsea as the Brazilian playmaker has reportedly been reassured of his value to the the team although that could pave the way for Cuadrado’s exit.

Cuadrado made 14 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea in the second half of the 2014-15 season and he is yet to score his first goal for the club.

Chelsea Set Asking Price For Cuadrado

http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2015/07/chelsea-set-asking-price-for-cuadrado/?

Jul 13, 2015

Chelsea have set an asking price of €34 million for forward Juan Cuadrado with Juventus keen on the player.

The 27-year-old move to Stamford Bridge from Fiorentina in January for a fee of around €30m, but has struggled to make an impact with Chelsea since then.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus are hoping to sign a creative attacking midfielder as a priority, but could then move for the Colombian.

It is thought the €34m fee is deemed a little high by the Bianconeri, who could ask for a loan with option to buy.

Cuadrado made 12 Premier League appearances last season, with only four as a starter, and failed to find the back of the net.

Cuadrado Keen On Juventus Transfer

http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2015/07/chelsea-forward-keen-on-juventus-transfer/?

Jul 14, 2015

Chelsea midfielder Juan Cuadrado has opened the door to a Serie A return with Juventus.

The 27-year-old winger moved to Stamford Bridge from Fiorentina in January for a fee in the region of €30 million, but has struggled to make an impact with Chelsea since then.

According to SportItalia, Juventus have turned their attention to the Colombia international attacker as the Bianconeri continue their search for a creative attacking midfielder.

The former Udinese forward still has four years left on his contract at Chelsea but Juve are thought to have accepted defeat in their attempts to sign Oscar from Chelsea and will now focus on securing the services of his teammate Cuadrado.

Cuadrado made 12 Premier League appearances last season, with only four as a starter, and failed to find the back of the net since arriving in London.

Cuadrado future depends on Pedro?

http://www.football-italia.net/69217/cuadrado-future-depends-pedro?

Jul 15, 2015

Any Juventus move for Juan Cuadrado would reportedly be dependent on Barcelona’s Pedro moving to Chelsea.

Cuadrado joined the English side in January from Fiorentina, but struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge, and has been linked with a return to Serie A, with the Bianconeri at the head of the queue.

Jose Mourinho’s side have been linked with a €30m move for Barcelona winger Pedro, and according to Corriere dello Sport, the Colombian international would only be allowed to leave if that deal goes through.

The newspaper reports that although Chelsea are looking to sell outright, the Old Lady would offer a €4m loan, with a mandatory redemption clause set at €24m.

However, that €28m total is still some way short of the €34m the Blues are thought to be asking for the former Viola man.

Juve: Draxler or Cuadrado?

http://www.football-italia.net/69260/juve-draxler-or-cuadrado?

Jul 15, 2015

Juventus could spend the Arturo Vidal money on Julian Draxler, Juan Guillermo Cuadrado or Alex Sandro.

Multiple sources claim Vidal is on the verge of joining Bayern Munich for €40m including performance-related bonuses.

The question now turns to who will replace the Chile international in midfield.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the number one target is Schalke 04 talent Draxler and there has already been some contact with the Bundesliga club.

Still only 21 years old, the German international can play in a 4-3-3 or in a trequartista role behind the strikers.

His release clause with Schalke is €45m, but Sky suggest he could be sold for as little as €15m to €20m due to recent injury problems.

The other options are Chelsea’s ex-Fiorentina winger Cuadrado and Porto man Alex Sandro, though both will cost well over €20m.

Juventus Hoping To Sign Chelsea Duo

http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2015/08/juventus-hoping-to-sign-chelsea-duo/?

Aug 13, 2015

Ramires and Juan Cuadrado are the latest players to be linked with a move to Juventus.

The Chelsea duo are not up for sale by the English side but the Italian champions are still hopeful of signing the pair.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus have targeted Ramires and Cuadrado to strengthen their midfielder and attacking options.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho does not want to let Ramires go, making a deal for the Brazilian international very difficult.

The player himself, however, is not completely against a move to Turin and Juventus are hoping to make contact with Ramires soon.

Cuadrado, meanwhile, has barely played for Chelsea since moving to the club in January for €3o million from Fiorentina.

Juventus are contemplating taking the Colombian international on loan for the upcoming season.

Cuadrado is very much a back up option for Juventus should the club fail in their pursuit of Julian Draxler.

JUVENTUS LOOK TO MKHITARYAN AND CUADRADO

http://www.juvefc.com/juventus-look-to-mkhitaryan-and-cuadrado/?

Aug 17, 2015

Juventus will meet with Mino Raiola tomorrow to discuss a possible transfer for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The Bianconeri were previously linked with the Armenian play-maker and reports today suggest they will make another effort to sign the Dortmund player.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Juve will turn their attention to Mkhitaryan, having completed a deal with Porto for left-back Alex Sandro.

A meeting is reportedly being held between Juve directors and the players agent, Mino Raiola tomorrow.

Another possible option is Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado, who may be available on loan.

Reports from Di.Marzio.com suggest that the players agent, Alessandro Lucci, has convinced Chelsea to part with the Colombian on loan for the 2015/16.

Juventus want Chelsea winger on season-long loan

http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/chelsea/transfer-talk/news/juventus-want-juan-cuadrado-loan_240029.html

Aug 18, 2015

Italian champions Juventus are interested in securing a loan deal for Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado, according to reports.

The Colombian international moved to West London from Fiorentina in January, but he has started just four times under Jose Mourinho so far.

Italian publication Tuttosport claims that the 27-year-old is pining for a return to Italy and Juventus are keen to sign a new winger before the window shuts.

However, Chelsea boss Mourinho will only let Cuadrado leave on a permanent deal, putting the potential deal in doubt.

Cuadrado cost Chelsea £26.1m

Chelsea Winger Moves Towards Juventus Transfer

http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2015/08/chelsea-winger-moves-towards-juventus-transfer/?

Aug 19, 2015

Juan Cuadrado is set to leave Chelsea with the west London side ready to cut their losses on the 27-year-old after he has struggled to make an impact in the Premier League.

The Blues are willing to allow the Colombian to leave on loan and this has alerted Juventus who are in favour of bringing the ex-Fiorentina player to Turin.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Chelsea are prepared to allow the 27-year-old to leave Stamford Bridge on loan to an interested club.

The deal would also have a purchase option included, although it is unclear whether the Premier League outfit would want the clause to be mandatory or not.

The Bianconeri are set to take advantage of the situation and land their target on a loan deal and the player’s agent is reportedly actively pressing for the move.

Cuadrado made 13 appearances for the west London club as they went on to win the Premier League trophy after he joined in January 2015.

Mkhitaryan, Cuadrado to follow Sandro?

http://www.football-italia.net/71302/mkhitaryan-cuadrado-follow-sandro?

Aug 20, 2015

Alex Sandro’s Juventus medical is underway, while reports say the club will target Juan Cuadrado or Henrikh Mkhitaryan if their final Julian Draxler bid is rejected.

It was announced yesterday that Porto left-back Alex Sandro had arrived in Turin ahead of a reported €20m move to the Italian champions.

The club announced on Twitter earlier today that the Brazilian had arrived at the Old Lady’s Clinica Fornaca to undergo his first tests, before he will later move to the Istituto di Medicino dello Sport.

However, the Bianconeri’s spending spree looks set to continue, with giornalaccio rosa dello Sport reporting today that targets have been set if their final offer worth €27m plus bonuses for Schalke 04’s Julian Draxler is turned down.

The paper writes that Juve will turn away from Draxler if the bid is rejected, and focus their attentions on either Borussia Dortmund’s Mkhitaryan or Chelsea’s Juan Cuadrado.

The report suggests that the imminent arrival of Pedro at Stamford Bridge from Barcelona could free up the Colombian’s return to Serie A after only six months in London.

Juventus Closing In On Loan For Chelsea Outcast

http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2015/08/juventus-closing-in-on-loan-for-chelsea-outcast/?

Aug 20, 2015

Juventus are ready to bring to an end Juan Cuadrado’s miserable time at Chelsea by landing the Colombian on a loan deal.

The 27-year-old barely featured for the Blues during the latter stages of last season after completing his move from Fiorentina in January, and now manager Jose Mourinho is ready to allow the tricky winger to head back to Serie A.

According to a report on Portuguese radio outfit Renascenca, the Portuguese tactician has given Cuadrado permission to look for a move away from the club on loan, with the Bianconeri leading the chase for the former Viola winger.

Cuadrado spent two and a half seasons with Fiorentina, scoring 20 Serie A goals before Chelsea opted to splash out €33 million and send Mohamed Salah on loan in exchange.

Zoff: 'Cuadrado more than Draxler'

http://www.football-italia.net/71393/zoff-cuadrado-more-draxler?

Aug 21, 2015

Dino Zoff said Juventus need Juan Cuadrado more than Julian Draxler this season.

The former goalkeeper and World Cup winner discussed the interest in both Chelsea winger Cuadrado and Schalke creative midfielder Draxler.

“Someone will arrive, seeing as the Juve directors are determined to cover this gap behind the strikers,” Zoff told Itasportpress.

“I like Draxler, because he is quick and if he can find regular fitness then is truly very talented.

“Cuadrado does not have similar characteristics to Draxler and is coming off a season that was certainly not positive.

“However, the Colombian has done well in Italy before and in my view could be of more use to Max Allegri.”

Chelsea loan Cuadrado to Juve?

http://www.football-italia.net/71448/chelsea-loan-cuadrado-juve

Aug 22, 2015

Italian sources claim Chelsea are prepared to send Juan Guillermo Cuadrado to Juventus on a dry loan.

The Bianconeri confirmed they are interested in the Colombian if he is available in the right circumstances.

Despite reports Jose Mourinho wanted to use Cuadrado as part of a bid for Paul Pogba, Juve will not release their French star.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Chelsea are now open to releasing Cuadrado on a dry loan, so with no option to buy.

They hope he can rediscover his form and confidence in Serie A, as he has seemed a shadow of his former self since making the move from Fiorentina to Stamford Bridge.

Juventus close on Cuadrado loan

http://www.football-italia.net/71454/juventus-close-cuadrado-loan?

Aug 22, 2015

It’s reported Juventus will pay Chelsea €1.5m to take Juan Guillermo Cuadrado on loan.

Sky Sport Italia claim the Premier League side has opened the door to a dry loan – therefore without an option to buy at the end of the season.

His agent is said to be in London to push forward this proposal.

They hope he can rediscover his confidence and form in Serie A, having struggled since joining from Fiorentina in January.

Juve would pay €1.5m to use the Colombia international for the 2015-16 campaign.

If he does well, then the clubs can negotiate a fee for a permanent move next summer.

It remains to be seen whether Juventus would pay all of his wages during this period or only a certain percentage.

Cuadrado is a non-EU player, like new signing Alex Sandro, so he would effectively fill Juve’s existing slots.

Juventus to make move for Chelsea flop Cuadrado

The Bianconeri have already been in touch with the former Fiorentina star's agent
and are now planning talks with the Premier League champions, who are open to a loan move.

http://www.goal.com/en-za/news/4655/exclusives/2015/08/22/14668832/-?

Aug 22, 2015

Juventus are set to make a move for Juan Cuadrado after Chelsea made the winger available for loan, Goal understands.

The Colombia international only joined the Blues in January, with the English outfit agreeing to pay Fiorentina an initial £23.3 million (€32m) for the versatile forward.

However, after struggling to break into Jose Mourinho's starting line-up upon his arrival in London, Cuadrado has now slipped further down the pecking order following the arrival of Pedro from Barcelona.

The Premier League champions had originally been reluctant to accept anything other than a straight cash deal for the 27-year-old but they have now agreed to let Cuadrado depart on loan.

Indeed, the South American's agent, Alessandro Lucci, is now due to arrive in London over the weekend to try to secure his client a return to Italy with Juve.

The Scudetto holders are looking to sign another forward before the close of the transfer window on August 31, having been frustrated in their attempts to agree a fee with Schalke for Julian Draxler.

Bianconeri director general Giuseppe Marotta and sporting director Fabio Paratici have already been in touch with Lucci and are now looking to meet with Chelsea in order to thrash out a loan deal for the player, but with an option to buy.

Cuadrado has long been of interest to Juve having establishing himself as one of the most exciting attacking talents in Serie A during his three-year spell with Fiorentina.

Juventus set to make bid for Chelsea's Juan Cuadrado

http://www.blackwhitereadallover.com/2015/8/23/9192147/juan-cuadrado-juventus-cheslea-epl-serie-a-summer-transfer-rumors-2015

Aug 23, 2015

These names aren't new to us. The Draxlers, the Gündoğans, the Witsels, the Cuadrados of the world. We've heard them all before. But there's one difference between, say, this time a couple of days ago and the present time. And it's a pretty clear difference, too.

Juventus are reportedly setting their sights on out-of-favor Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado. And, in the very near future, Juve -- who has been searching far and wide to bring a No. 10-type player to Turin this summer -- will reportedly table a bid to try and bring the former Fiorentina man to the land of Serie A titles and bianconreo adidas jerseys.

Guglielmo Cannavale @GugliCannavale
Update: Juventus are closer to sign #Cuadrado. The bid is €1,5M for a loan deal without option to buy (via @DiMarzio)

OKAY, FINE. HERE ARE MORE DETAILS.

Juventus is making progress in their pursuit of an offensive option for Allegri's squad. The bianconeri are ready to make an offer to Chelsea for the Colombian winger- €1.5 million for a straight loan with no obligation to buy. Chelsea has already accepted the terms proposed by the player's agent, Alessandro Lucci, Juventus is determined and confident they can close the deal quickly so they can work on a potential last acquisition. The target is a midfielder, there is a better chance it will be a defensive one rather than a trequartista, Juventus would have to pursue a player with a European passport should they sign Cuadrado after Alex Sandro. Cuadrado is ready to return to Serie A.
(Source: Gianluca Di Marzio)

Is the line of thinking "If we sign Cuadrado, then the summer transfer window is a wrap?" I'm not so sure, mainly because there's a dearth of options in the center of the midfield right now and we know damn well that's not where Cuadrado plays. Beppe Marotta has said there will be another impact signing brought in, but he also added that the financial ability to bring somebody in were ever present, too. So does that mean Juve have a lot more cash to sign a central midfielder or trequartista on top of a potential loan move for Cuadrado?

That's the million dollar question. At least right now it is.

But when it comes to Cuadrado, he obviously isn't the out-and-out No. 10 Juventus have been searching for. But a loan move for that reported price has very little risk at all. And there's no doubting that he's more comfortable in Serue A rather than the Premier League. (Not that he got much of a chance in England, though.)

Cuadrado for Juventus loan

http://www.football-italia.net/71463/cuadrado-juventus-loan?

Aug 23, 2015

Juventus are on the verge of signing Juan Cuadrado from Chelsea on loan, without an option to buy.

The news had been circulating of interest in the Colombian and English papers suggested he was offered as part of a failed bid for Paul Pogba.

Sky Sport Italia, SportItalia and all of Italy’s major sports newspapers claim today that Cuadrado will wear the Bianconeri jersey this season.

He finds his playing time further limited by the arrival of Pedro from Barcelona and Chelsea want him to rediscover his confidence in Serie A.

It’s believed Juve have negotiated a dry loan – so without an option to buy – at a cost of €1.5m (around £1m).

In turn, Chelsea hope to get in Juve’s good books for a potential Pogba approach next summer, when Barcelona will pour all their cash into the Frenchman.

Cuadrado’s agent Alessandro Lucci has flown to London to push for this move and a medical could happen on Monday.

Cuadrado to Juventus on Monday

http://www.football-italia.net/71484/cuadrado-juventus-mon?

Aug 23, 2015

Chelsea winger Juan Guillermo Cuadrado will reportedly be in Italy tomorrow to complete his Juventus move.

The reports emerged over the weekend that Chelsea were open to releasing him on a dry loan – therefore without an option to buy – for just €1.5m.

However, La giornalaccio rosa dello Sport now insist it is a loan with option to buy for €25m.

Cuadrado wasn’t even on the bench for today’s Premier League game against West Bromwich Albion, confirming his status at the Stamford Bridge club.

Sport Mediaset in Italy claim 27-year-old Cuadrado will be in Turin on Monday for a medical and to sign the contract.

It’ll be a return to Serie A after Fiorentina sold him to Chelsea in January for €31m plus the loan of Mohamed Salah.

Cuadrado spent the vast majority of his career in Italy, joining Udinese in July 2009.

Juventus confirm loan deal for Cuadrado imminent

Giuseppe Marotta says the Colombian is set to arrive in Turin
after agreeing to end his short spell in the Premier League.

http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892/transfer-zone/2015/08/23/14682862/-?

Aug 23, 2015

Juventus have reached an agreement with Juan Cuadrado over a season-long loan deal, Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed.

Cuadrado, a £23.3 million (€32m) January signing from Fiorentina, has failed to force his way into Jose Mourinho's plans at Chelsea and the arrival of Pedro this week has seen him slip further down the pecking order.

The Blues agreed to make the winger available for loan earlier this week after Juve had expressed an interest in bringing him to Turin, and the Colombia international has now accepted the chance to join the Serie A champions for the 2015-16 campaign.

Goal understands the 27-year-old is now expected in Turin in the next four hours in order to complete medical tests and Juve general director Giuseppe Marotta confirmed that the Colombia international will soon be a Bianconeri player.

"There is the opportunity to sign Cuadrado and we're going for it," he told Mediaset Premium. "Hopefully tomorrow we'll close the deal, he should arrive on loan for one season."

Cuadrado made just four Premier League starts under Mourinho as Chelsea clinched the title last season.

Juve confirm Cuadrado deal

http://www.football-italia.net/71489/juve-confirm-cuadrado-deal?

Aug 23, 2015

Juventus director Beppe Marotta confirmed Juan Cuadrado “will arrive on loan tomorrow” from Chelsea.

The story had emerged over the last 48 hours and developed quickly once the Stamford Bridge side said it was open to a loan rather than permanent transfer.

“It’s true, Cuadrado will arrive on loan and we want to give Max Allegri the best possible players to work with,” director general Marotta told Sport Mediaset.

“The opportunity to get Cuadrado presented itself and we took it. Now it’s up to Allegri, who is an excellent Coach.

"We expect to complete the deal tomorrow. Is Julian Draxler still a target? We'll see. It's difficult, but the market is open until August 31."

Marotta was speaking ahead of today’s Serie A opener against Udinese in Turin.

Cuadrado is expected to arrive for a medical on Monday.

It's not yet clear whether it will be a dry loan or with option to buy for €25m, but the cost of the temporary spell is €1.5m.

Juventus' Beppe Marotta confirms
Juan Cuadrado will arrive on loan

http://www.blackwhitereadallover.com/2015/8/23/9193795/juventus-chelsea-juan-cuadrado-epl-serie-a-summer-transfer-rumors-2015

Aug 23, 2015

After swiftly swooping for Porto left back Alex Sandro, Juventus has done so again. It's not for a pure and prototypical No. 10 like many of us had hoped for, but as a lot of folks like to say, the transfer window isn't closed just yet. And when it comes to the next player that will be arriving in Turin for a medical, he's certainly one we're all familiar with.

Everything has been addressed, Cuadrado is ready to join Juventus. Chelsea has agreed to loan the Colombian winger to the bianconeri, there could be a negotiation later on for an option to buy. Cuadrado could be in Turin tomorrow to take a medical before signing his new contract. Cuadrado's arrival could lead to a sale: Llorente or Coman could leave Juventus. After his experience at Chelsea, Cuadrado is ready to return to Serie A.

(Source: Gianluca Di Marzio)

And shortly after that report was filed, we get the confirmation from Beppe Marotta...

Khaled Al Nouss @KhaledAlNouss
Marotta: "Cuadrado will come on loan, we want to give Allegri the best players possible."

Let's see here...

Eight months ago, Chelsea paid Fiorentina €35 million to bring Cuadrado to London. And if the report above is correct in terms of the financial details — and there's no reason to think otherwise at this point — Juve will spend all of €1.5 million to bring Cuadrado back to Italy. That's pretty much the Beppe Marotta Business Sense in a nutshell. If there ends up being an option to buy Cuadrado worked into the loan deal, well then that's even more of the cae.

You wanted a low-risk, potentially high-reward kind of move, this one sounds just like it.

With Cuadrado arriving, now we wait and see which direction Juventus will go. Does this mean a holding-type central midfielder will arrive? Or is a trequartista still in the picture? As we've seen from their last couple of deals, Juve are certainly ready to pounce on any kind of opportunity that is of interest to them. And like Marotta says, the goal is to give Max Allegri the best players available. You just get the sense that they're not done just yet.
