Juve join Pjaca chase

http://www.football-italia.net/86431/juve-join-pjaca-chase

Jun 26, 2016

Croatia international Marko Pjaca was already of interest to Milan, but now Juventus are said to be tracking him too.

His agent confirmed an approach from the Rossoneri earlier this week and it would be “an honour” to wear their club colours.

Sky Sport Italia claim this evening that Juventus have joined the race for the Dinamo Zagreb talent.

Pjaca just turned 21 last month and plays primarily on the left wing, though he can also go on the right or as a support striker if needed.

He is a full Croatia international with one goal and 11 caps to his name.

Impressive performances at Euro 2016 have seen his price-tag climb to around €16m.

Milan v Juve for Pjaca?

http://www.football-italia.net/86683/milan-v-juve-pjaca

Jul 1, 2016

Sky Sport Italia insist Milan and Juventus are fighting for Mark Pjaca, not Inter, although Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund are interested.

There have been numerous reports today that 21-year-old Croatia international Pjaca was planning a medical for Inter, but these were denied by the player himself and his agent.

Sky Sport Italia claim that Pjaca is eager for a move to Serie A, but that the only genuine options for him are Milan and Juventus.

There is interest from Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool, but the Dinamo Zagreb midfielder is intent on a spell in Italy.

Pjaca-Rog on Napoli radar

http://www.football-italia.net/86708/pjaca-rog-napoli-radar

Jul 2, 2016

Napoli are joining Juventus, Milan and Inter in the hunt for Marko Pjaca, but want Dinamo Zagreb teammate Marko Rog too.

According to Sportitalia, the Partenopei have approached Dinamo Zagreb to make a double swoop this summer.

The targets are winger Pjaca, who impressed at Euro 2016 for Croatia, and trequartista Rog.

Rog turns 21 later this month and can play behind the strikers or in a creative midfield role.

The report suggests Napoli will offer €35m for the pair of Croatian players.

Pjaca has attracted the most attention so far after his fine performances for Croatia.

Inter had been strong contenders, but last night Sky Sport Italia noted it was mainly between Juventus and Milan.

'Premier League in pole for Pjaca'

http://www.football-italia.net/86715/premier-league-pole-pjaca

Jul 2, 2016

The Marko Pjaca situation continues to confuse, as Dinamo Zagreb claim “the Premier League is in pole position.”

Juventus, Milan, Napoli and Inter have been heavily linked with the Croatia international winger.

“The lad has been very clear on his Facebook page, there is no agreement with Inter and he is a Dinamo Zagreb player,” director of sport Marko Vukelic told FcInterNews.

“Now he is on vacation and when he returns he’ll be at our disposal.”

How much of a chance do the Italian clubs have of signing Pjaca?

“I cannot answer that, but I can say his future could be in the Premier League. The English tournament is in pole position for his signature.”

Pjaca: Juventus or Milan

http://www.football-italia.net/86778/pjaca-juventus-or-milan

Jul 3, 2016

Croatia international Marko Pjaca seems to be closer to Juventus than Milan, ignoring Inter, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund.

Sky Sport Italia claim it’s a two-horse race for the Dinamo Zagreb winger, who impressed at Euro 2016.

He will soon speak to his agent and decide on his next transfer.

According to pundit Gianluca Di Marzio, it’s between Juventus and Milan, while the Bianconeri appear to have the upper hand.

The Corriere dello Sport are also confident that Juve have the deal in hand.

Inter, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund have shown interest, but Pjaca appears to be heading towards Juventus or Milan.

Pjaca: ‘Happy at Dinamo but…’

http://www.football-italia.net/86793/pjaca-‘happy-dinamo-but…’

Jul 4, 2016

Juventus, Milan and Inter target Marko Pjaca is “happy with Dinamo” but “things change quickly in football”.

The Dinamo Zagreb midfielder is the subject of a transfer tussle between Serie A’s big guns, with the Bianconeri thought to be in pole position.

There is also interest from Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund, but the Croatian international isn’t in a rush to leave his current club.

“Of course it’s an honour for me to read that all these clubs are interested in me,” Pjaca told Dinamo’s official website.

“It means I’m doing well and I have to continue like this. The holidays didn’t last long enough, but now I’m well-rested and fired-up.

“Things change very quickly in football, what’s happening today might not be the case tomorrow. The right time to go will come when a club comes in with an offer which suits me and Dinamo Zagreb.

“That could happen tomorrow, in a month or in a year, no-one knows. I’m happy at Dinamo, this is my team and always will be.

“For everything else, we’ll look at it when the time is right.”

'Napoli €35m for Pjaca and Rog'

http://www.football-italia.net/86859/napoli-€35m-pjaca-and-rog

Jul 5, 2016

Dinamo Zagreb confirmed “Napoli made a €35m offer for Marko Pjaca and Marko Rog, but there are obstacles.”

The Croatia internationals have caught the attention of several Serie A sides, including Juventus and Milan.

“It’s true that Napoli want Pjaca and Rog,” Dinamo Zagreb President Mirko Barisic told Sportske Novosti.

“It is also true that their offer is worth €35m. However, there is no agreement, as there are still obstacles.”

Rog is a creative midfielder who will turn 21 later this month.

Pjaca made a big impression for Croatia at Euro 2016, even when coming off the bench.

He is a wide attacker who can play on the left or right and recently turned 21.

Juventus were believed to be very close to Pjaca, but Napoli have dived in with a double proposal.

Juve, Napoli, Milan war for Pjaca

http://www.football-italia.net/86894/juve-napoli-milan-war-pjaca

Jul 6, 2016

Juventus, Napoli and Milan are all after Dinamo Zagreb's Marko Pjaca as a bidding war could kick off.

The negotiations for the purchase of the talented Croatian winger-striker, one of the revelations of Euro 2016, could easily turn into one of this summer's prolonged transfer stories.

The Partenopei currently have an advantage in that their €35m offer, inclusive of the signing of Pjaca's teammate Marko Rog, is far more remunerative than the Bianconeri's €15-17m for the 21-year-old alone.

But although Napoli have the favour of Dinamo Zagreb, they do not enjoy that of the player, who is believed by the Gazzetta dello Sport and Sky Sport alike to prefer Juventus as a destination.

To further complicate matters, Sportske Novotsi recently reported that Milan's joint-CEO Adriano Galliani was spotted in Zagreb, presumably to discuss Pjaca.

The Rossoneri are currently busy with the matter of the club's sale, but could have tremendous capital to invest in just over a week's time.

The Croatian club are hoping that a bidding war may kick off between the three Serie A clubs, an option which Juventus would not welcome and which may force them out of the race.

In any case Pjaca's future is far from resolved and negotiations could just as easily be closed in the next three days as they could go on until the last day of the market.

Agent: 'Milan want Pjaca'

http://www.football-italia.net/86906/agent-milan-want-pjaca

Jul 6, 2016

Marko Pjaca's agent confirms that Milan are battling Napoli and Juventus for the Dinamo Zagreb player.

The Rossoneri were only rumoured to be an outlier in the escalating battle for the Croatian talent, but their interest has now been confirmed.

“Milan are after Pjaca, although the player is also being followed by other great European clubs,” his agent Marko Naletilic told ItaSportPress. “The Rossoneri are in my heart and I have a great relationship with their joint-CEO [Adriano] Galliani, ever since 1986, when my father closed several deals with Milan.

“[Silvio] Berlusconi's club has a small advantage but words are wind. If they want to take him to Milan, what they need is cash, because Dinamo Zagreb have set a high price for such an important player.

“What's certain is that he'll end up playing in a great club. In Serie A he'd be decisive as he has courage, character and technique.

“He's great at dribbling his opponent in spite of his powerful 187cm physique. Juventus wanted him some time ago, but Dinamo refused to sell him.”

Pjaca bidding war escalates

http://www.football-italia.net/86927/pjaca-bidding-war-escalates

Jul 6, 2016

According to Italian reports, Dinamo Zagreb almost doubled Marko Pjaca’s asking price after Milan, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund sparked a bidding war.

The winger impressed at Euro 2016 and this shop window enabled the club to vastly inflate the price-tag.

Sportitalia claim that before the tournament, Pjaca was worth €15m plus bonuses, but that now the expectation is €25m plus bonuses that will eventually reach in the region of €30m.

Napoli pulled out of negotiations for this reason, but Milan staged an intensive push for Pjaca when CEO Adriano Galliani visited his agent in Zagreb last night.

Juventus and Borussia Dortmund remain in the running, but the Rossoneri appear to have the advantage.

Milan agree €25m Pjaca deal

http://www.football-italia.net/86946/milan-agree-€25m-pjaca-deal

Jul 6, 2016

Milan have agreed terms with Dinamo Zagreb for Marko Pjaca, paying €20m plus €5m in bonuses, but Borussia Dortmund are a threat.

According to Mediaset Premium, Adriano Galliani’s surprise trip to Zagreb yesterday proved decisive and he has clinched a deal.

The Croatia international winger is ready to make the move for €20m plus another €5m in add-ons.

Juventus and Napoli have stepped back with this price-tag, which has almost doubled since before Euro 2016.

However, Borussia Dortmund remain interested and could well offer the €25m upfront.

'Milan have no Pjaca deal'

http://www.football-italia.net/87032/milan-have-no-pjaca-deal

Jul 8, 2016

Dinamo Zagreb director Tomislav Svetina surprisingly claims Milan have no deal in place for Marko Pjaca.

The Rossoneri were believed to have beaten the competition of Serie A giants Juventus and Napoli to sign the Croatian talent.

Earlier reports suggested that Milan's joint-CEO Adriano Galliani had been in Zagreb and already found a deal, but CEO Tomislav Svetina denied that was the case.

“I read that he was in Zagreb, but he didn't speak with any of us,” he told Vecernji.hr. “After all, it's a popular tourist destination, isn't it?

“All we're thinking of is our match against Vardarom. We don't care about anything else.”

Pjaca prefers Juve to Milan?

http://www.football-italia.net/87057/pjaca-prefers-juve-milan

Jul 8, 2016

Mediaset Premium claim Marko Pjaca has changed his mind and is now leaning towards Juventus rather than Milan.

Both clubs have made the same basic €25m offer to Dinamo Zagreb, who are prepared to let the player choose for himself.

According to Mediaset Premium this evening, Juve have succeeded in convincing the Croatia international to lean in their direction.

Sky Sport Italia also note that the fact Pjaca hasn't made a decision yet suggests he is moving towards Juventus.

Until now it had been widely reported that Pjaca preferred Milan, as his agent has a strong rapport with Adriano Galliani and the CEO flew out to Zagreb for a personal meeting last week.

Pjaca wants regular first team football, something he’d be guaranteed at San Siro.

However, Juventus seem to have won him over.

Mother: 'Pjaca loves Italian football'

http://www.football-italia.net/87120/mother-pjaca-loves-italian-football

Jul 10, 2016

Marko Pjaca hasn’t decided between Milan and Juventus, as the Dinamo Zagreb starlet’s mother reveals he “always watched Italian football.”

Multiple sources claim the Croatia international is still considering his future, asboth Milan and Juventus have agreed terms with Dinamo for €25m.

“I have no preference, I just want Marko to be happy,” his mother Visnja told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“He has always watched Italian football, even as a child: Milan, Juve, all the teams. He’d flick through the channels – Germany, Italian, Spanish – to find the games.

“He is quiet, but has a very strong mentality. He has been training like a professional since the age of eight, even at home. You can tell by the way he recovers from injuries – he always returned far earlier than the doctors predicted.

“He’s an excellent student at school too and one of the few football players who completed his studies. He was always good at languages and learned a few things thanks to football too, as he spoke Portuguese, English and Spanish with his teammates.”

Sky: Pjaca chooses Juventus

Jul 10, 2016

Marko Pjaca has chosen Juventus ahead of Milan and given Dinamo Zagreb the all-clear to finalise the move, claim Sky Sport Italia.

The Croatia international winger received identical offers from the two Serie A clubs.

He has been considering his options for several days now.

According to Sky Sport Italia this afternoon, Pjaca has finally made his decision and it’s to go with Juventus.

He told Dinamo Zagreb they can go ahead and complete the transfer for €25m, including bonuses.

Report: Juventus close to finalizing deal

for Dinamo Zagreb winger Marko Pjaca

http://www.blackwhitereadallover.com/2016/7/11/12147076/marko-pjaca

-dinamo-zagreb-juventus-2016-serie-a-summer-transfer-rumors

Jul 11, 2016

When it comes to Juventus' reported pursuit of Marko Pjaca, there has been the same kind of situation repeating it for the better part of the last week or two. First Juventus lead in the race to sign the young Croatian, then Milan do. Juventus leads, then Milan leads. Throw in a "Pjaca might make his decision tomorrow" along with both teams supposedly leading the race and we have a trifecta of transfer rumor gold that would have you losing your mind in relatively short order.

Sunday, however, didn't just bring us the Euro 2016 final. It delivered us the word of this little piece to the puzzle where Pjaca could very well come to choose the location of where he's playing his football next season.

La @juventusfc ha il via libera di #Piaca per chiudere con la#Dinamo: il @acmilan ora può solo sperare in complicazioni tra club @SkySport

And just in case you need a little bit of a translation into English...

Pjaca gave Juve the go ahead to close deal with Dinamo Zagreb, Milan can only hope there are complications https://twitter.com/dimarzio/status/752157517325664256

So, if this is true, Juventus are more than just the leader in the clubhouse when it comes to signing Pjaca. Reporting the fact that Milan can only hope something gets screwed up in Juventus' negotiations is a relatively direct way in saying that things have gone in a positive kind of direction.

Does this mean there could be actually news soon? Who the heck knows. For all we know the shoe could be on the other foot when the late-night transfer reports come out as Monday is close to turning into Tuesday and Milan is suddenly thinking they have a legit chance to sign Pjaca once again.

The one thing — we've been hearing "tomorrow is a decisive day" for pretty much the last week straight. Maybe the next 24 hours will truly be decisive and Juventus will come away with another piece to add to its Croatian contingent. Or maybe we'll just be sitting here as morning arrives in Italy thinking the same thing we have had float through our heads a lot lately when it comes to Pjaca-related items. "Yeah, and they said something is actually going to happen tomorrow? What a bust."

Dinamo Zagreb Winger To Complete Juventus Switch

http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2016/07/dinamo-zagreb-winger-to-complete-juventus-switch/?

Jul 11, 2016

Juventus look set to complete the signing of Dinamo Zagreb winger Marko Pjaca after several Italian clubs were linked with him.

The 21-year-old has attracted interest from Napoli and AC Milan along with the current Serie A champions, however it is the Bianconeri who look set to sign the Croatian international.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, an agreement was reached between both parties on Sunday for a deal worth around €20 million plus €2m in bonuses.

Pjaca is one of the biggest young talents and has been scouted by several top European clubs both in and outside of Italy, so Massimiliano Allegri will be happy with his new purchase.

Pjaca moved to Dinamo Zagreb from Lokomotiva Zagreb in 2014, and has since appeared 89 times in all competitions, scoring 26 goals and assisting a further 12.

Report: Pjaca signed for Juventus

http://www.football-italia.net/87219/report-pjaca-signed-juventus

Jul 12, 2016

Croatian sources claim Marko Pjaca has signed for Juventus, with Dinamo Zagreb accepting a payment of €25m.

The player was believed to have turned down Milan in order to take his chances with the Bianconeri.

Now the site of the Croatian sports newspaper Sportske Novosti claims that the player already signed a contract with Juventus. The cost of the transfer is allegedly €20m, plus €5m in bonuses.

The report is pending confirmation from official sources, as there are currently no news on Pjaca's projected medicals with the Bianconeri, especially as the player is reportedly down with flu.

Scouting Juventus Transfer Target Marko Pjaca

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2651873-scouting-juventus-transfer-target-marko-pjaca?

Jul 14, 2016

With UEFA Euro 2016 now firmly in the rearview mirror, attention has shifted back to club football, with the summer transfer window heating up as teams prepare for the challenges the new season will present.

That is certainly true at Juventus, back training under coach Massimiliano Allegri and with some new signings already acquired. The Bianconeri have already added Miralem Pjanic and Dani Alves to a squad that won both Serie A and the Coppa Italia last term.

They are far from finished, however, with a deal for Marko Pjaca close, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio. Writing on his website, translated by David Amoyal, the Sky Italia pundit believes the Turin giants have seen off competition from AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid to sign the Croatia international.

Pjaca gave Juve the go ahead to close deal with Dinamo Zagreb, Milan can only hope there are complications https://twitter.com/dimarzio/status/752157517325664256

He played only a bit-part role at this summer's tournament, unable to help the Vatreni find a way past eventual winners Portugal in the last 16. Yet he is seemingly ready to move on from Dinamo Zagreb, as he said in a recent interview with Calciomercato.com.

“It’s great to be linked with these Serie A giants,” Pjaca said in April, discussing interest from Inter Milan, Juve and AC Milan. “It gives me strength to carry on working and giving my best during training and matches.”

It seems that despite featuring for a total of just over 100 minutes at Euro 2016, the 21-year-old showed the kind of promise that could make him a star over the next few seasons. Almost all of those minutes came in a rare start in the final group-stage clash with Spain, a chance Pjaca firmly seized.

Marko Pjaca #CRO v #SPA 1 shot, 1 chance created, 1 tackle, 7/8 take-ons completed (via @StatsZone)

He played a major role in Croatia's impressive 2-1 victory at Bordeaux's Stade Matmut Atlantique, running La Furia Roja—the reigning European champions—ragged, as the FourFourTwo StatsZone graphic above illustrates.

Pjaca took one shot, created one clear scoring opportunity and won one tackle, but it was his dribbling that caught the eye. Completing an impressive seven of his eight attempted take-ons, the right-footed youngster left a string of defenders chasing shadows as he cut in from his starting position on the left wing.

It was a superb performance in a heavily rotated side, but Pjaca took a seat on the bench for that clash with Portugal, only to be brought on late in extra time, when he made the decision to drop him look extremely foolhardy.

Introduced as a substitute with just 10 minutes of the additional 30 remaining, he brought some much-needed attacking impetus to the side, with WhoScored.com statistics showing he completed three dribbles against a previously impenetrable Portugal defence.

That game saw him fielded on the right flank, his ability with both feet evident while highlighting his versatility and willingness to do whatever is asked of him by coaches, as he told Calciomercato.com in the aforementioned interview: “I mostly play behind strikers, as offensive midfielder, or winger. I’ve also played as striker but it is not a decision that I have to take. I play wherever the boss tells me to and I always want to do the best to help my team.”

Marko Pjaca: Has averaged a successful dribble more often (every 10 mins) than any other player to start a game at Euro 2016 #CRO

That same desire was clear in his recent performances, but his mother, Visnja, told La Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Football Italia) earlier in July that her son has always demonstrated such determination:

He is quiet, but has a very strong mentality. He has been training like a professional since the age of eight, even at home. You can tell by the way he recovers from injuries, he always returned far earlier than the doctors predicted.

He’s an excellent student at school too and one of the few football players who completed his studies. He was always good at languages and learned a few things thanks to football too, as he spoke Portuguese, English and Spanish with his teammates.

Further evidence of Pjaca's ability can be found in his contribution to Dinamo's 2015/16 Champions League campaign. According to WhoScored.com, he created 0.7 chances and completed one dribble per game while connecting with 75.2 per cent of his passes, and his displays earned some notable praise.

“I want to pay my players a big compliment for their fight and performance, they showed their quality,” Pep Guardiola told a press conference after his Bayern Munich side won 2-0 in Zagreb in December. “I know that Dinamo have a very young side, and I think [Ante] Coric and Pjaca are exceptional talents and they will definitely have big careers.”

The latter had already caught the eye a year earlier, netting a well-taken Europa League hat-trick against Celtic back in December 2014 that highlighted many of his best attributes. Shown above, Pjaca's penchant for cutting back onto his stronger right foot stands out—as does his ability to shift direction at any moment.

Peeling off the left wing to shoot or create for others, the 6'1" starlet can also bully less physical defenders, shrugging off would-be tacklers, which should translate well if he makes the shift into the Italian league.

Occasionally, he can overindulge in his array of tricks rather than making a simple pass, but Allegri and the numerous veteran leaders at Juve can surely coax better decisions from Pjaca as he matures.

The Juve boss would also have a left winger to work with, allowing him to perhaps play a 4-3-3 formation should the need arise, something that would balance the side if the Bianconeri bring Juan Cuadrado back this summer.

The Croatia international could also play as an alternative to Paulo Dybala in attack, and he would be expected to have a sound understanding with compatriot Mario Mandzukic if the two were fielded together.

His flexibility would be an extra weapon for an already impressive team in Turin, but he would need to be given some direction, as his former coach in Zagreb best summed up when asked about Pjaca.

MARKO PJACA | Goals, Skills, Assists | Dinamo Zagreb | 2015/2016 (HD) https://youtu.be/HRDtsW808Rs  via @YouTube

“Marko is a fantastic player with great potential and when focused and in the right mood he can do great things,” Zoran Mamic told the official UEFA website last year. Juventus would hope to see him achieve just that.

They would also hope to see him fulfil one of his personal goals, as Pjaca explained to Elvir Islamovic of UEFA: “I am making my dreams come true. One of those was fulfilled when I earned a national team call-up; another would be to win the Champions League, to lift that trophy.”

The Old Lady share that same dream. Perhaps together they could make it become their shared reality.

Report: Juventus, Dinamo Zagreb agree to deal for Marko Pjaca

dinamo-zagreb-juventus-2016-serie-a-summer-transfer-rumors

While we all eagerly await the word of any potential developments regarding Gonzalo Higuain's future at Napoli, reports out of Italy are suggesting that Juventus have secured the services of another offensive playmaker for next season.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Juventus and Pjaca's current employer, Dynamo Zagreb have reached an agreement on a deal that will see the 21-year-old Croatian make his way to Turin this summer. With the reported conclusion of the deal, Pjaca would be set to take medicals at some point next week. The rumored price tag to bring Pjaca to Turin has been in the region of €20 million to €22 million depending on what source in the Italian media you read.

Here's more, courtesy of Sky Sport Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio:

Juventus has locked into Marko Pjaca from Dinamo Zagreb and does not appear willing to let him go. The sides continue to work on the deal, which is moving forward and could close on Monday or Tuesday. Pjaca appears set to join Juventus for next season.

If this is truly the finish line being reached, it will end what has been an interesting couple of weeks of rumors where Juventus went head-to-head with Milan. One day it was Milan in the, the next with Juve holding the advantage. But word coming down earlier this week where Juventus were closing in on a deal for Pjaca squashed any kind of fears that they could lose out on a player they've clearly targeted as a must have this summer.

Now we wait final word as to when this deal will be done and delivered. Maybe we will have another reason to pay attention to Juventus' website besides video of Paulo Dybala and Alex Sandro playing with kangaroos on the tour of Australia. That sure would be nice, wouldn't it?

Dinamo Zagreb winger Marko Pjaca should be ready to complete his move to Juventus by Tuesday.

The Croatia international was at the centre of a transfer tug-of-war between Juve and Milan, but the Bianconeri seem to have won.

It was reported 21-year-old Pjaca was taking time to consider his decision.

Sky Sport Italia and the Gazzetta dello Sport are confident he has chosen Juventus and will complete the transfer on Monday or Tuesday.

He’d then fly in for a medical in Turin on Wednesday.

There was also a hold-up as Dinamo Zagreb wanted €25m cash, whereas Juve were offering €22m plus bonuses to be paid over a two-year period.

The final details should be whittled down on Monday.

Agent: 'Pjaca wants Juventus, but...'

Marko Pjaca is “close to Juventus, but nothing can happen until the agreement with Dinamo Zagreb is signed,” said his agent.

The situation has been dragging on for weeks now, as the Bianconeri appear to have seen off competition from Milan at €25m.

“It is only normal that Pjaca hasn’t signed for Juventus when the club still needs to sign an agreement with Dinamo Zagreb,” agent Marko Naletilic told Sportske Novosti in Croatia.

“The two clubs are yet to reach an agreement. Marko can have the desire to join Juventus. That is not in dispute and I have friends at Juvetus too.

“I have received verbal confirmation the two clubs are negotiating and trying to sort everything out. That’s it.

“Pjaca cannot sign for Juve until the clubs have agreed terms. Besides, there are another six or seven sides who want him too.

“I expect it all to be finalised next week, though I cannot say when. The truth is that Pjaca is close to Juve, he wants this team, but nothing can happen until the agreement between Dinamo and Juventus is signed.”

Serie A champions Juventus are closing in on the signature of Dinamo Zagreb star Marko Pjaca, according to representative Marko Naletilic.

The 21-year-old impressed for Croatia at Euro 2016 and his fine performances have not gone unnoticed in Italy.

AC Milan and Inter have also been credited with an interest in signing Pjaca, but Juventus are seemingly leading the race to sign the winger.

"It's not true that Marko has already signed for Juventus. Juventus and Dinamo must agree terms first. That has not happened as of yet," Naletilic told Sportske Novosti.

"But there is a desire to move to Juventus from our end. There is a verbal agreement on the condition that both clubs agree terms.

"Pjaca is close to joining Juventus, but I cannot say anything more until he has actually signed.

"I think negotiations will be concluded next week."

Pjaca has a contract with Dinamo Zagreb until June 2019.

Agent: 'Why Pjaca chose Juventus'

Marko Pjaca “chose Juventus because they’ve been tracking him for four years,” said the Dinamo Zagreb talent’s agent.

The Croatia international is expected to join the Bianconeri for €25m after snubbing a similar offer from Milan.

“The medical has not yet been booked, as that will be done when the deal is concluded,” agent Marko Naletilic told Il Messaggero newspaper.

“Juve are the club closest to a deal, but they have to reach an agreement with Dinamo first.

“Marko made this choice because the Bianconeri know him very well, as they’ve been tracking him for four years. They won many Scudetti and play at a high level in the Champions League too.

“It’s a challenge for Pjaca, he is aware of his qualities and thinks he can become a first team player.

“Milan also really impressed him. The lad spoke to (CEO Adriano) Galliani in person and on the phone. He’s a top manager, but the Champions League stage proved to be fundamental in this decision.”

The agent also revealed Pjaca was approached by Pantaleo Corvino while in charge of Bologna transfers last year.
