Juve linked with Dutch starlet

https://www.football-italia.net/122442/juve-linked-dutch-starlet

Jun 5, 2018

Juventus are being linked with a move for young Ajax defender Matthijs De Ligt.

The 18-year-old centre-back is already a regular for the Dutch club, having appeared in 39 of his side’s matches this season.

He is also a full Netherlands international and played 70 minutes of tonight’s 1-1 draw with Italy at the Juventus Stadium.

And Sky are reporting that the Old Lady have taken advantage of the international friendly to lay the groundwork for a potential future transfer.

According to the Italian news source, Juve directors have given the youngster a tour of the club’s training ground.

It is thought that the Serie A champions could make an official approach for De Ligt should another of their current defenders leave the club this summer.

Matthijs De Ligt: ‘Juventus links an honour’

https://www.football-italia.net/122517/
de-ligt-‘juventus-links-honour’

Jun 6, 2018

Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt calls it “an honour” to be linked with Juventus but “I’ll decide what’s best for my career”.

The centre-back has been linked with a move to the Bianconeri, and was said to have been given a tour of the facilities before the Netherlands played Italy at Juventus Stadium.

Following that match he spoke to reporters about the links to Juve.

“Obviously I’m only here for the national team and that was the important thing,” De Ligt said.

“Of course it’s an honour to be linked with such a big club, but it’s important for me to play as normal and not think about it.

“The stadium? Today was a national team match and I was playing away from home, so I don’t know how it would be playing as the home team.

“It’s a wonderful stadium though, and Turin is a beautiful city too.

“Juventus is a club with great history and above all many trophies in their cabinet, as well as many excellent players.

“Mino Raiola? He’s not tied to Juventus, he has many interests! I think if it were so close he’d have told me.

“My dream was always to play for Ajax and I achieved it, now I have to decide what’s best for my career.”

Napoli swoop in for Darmian

https://www.football-italia.net/122538/napoli-swoop-darmian

Jun 6, 2018

Reports suggest Napoli are looking to hijack Juventus’ move for Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian.

The Bianconeri have already agreed a deal with the Italian international, but negotiations are ongoing with the Red Devils over a price.

Juve are offering around €12m plus bonuses, while the English side want the total fee to reach at least €20m.

Now calciomercato.com reports that Napoli are looking to try and hijack a deal, taking advantage of the stalemate in negotiations.

Juventus remain in pole position, but if the deal collapses the Partenopei are ready to swoop in for Darmian.

Juventus push for Chiesa

https://www.football-italia.net/122520/inter-push-chiesa

Jun 7, 2018

Inter are looking to beat Napoli and Juventus to the signing of Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa, according to reports.

The Italian international is one of the most sought-after youngsters in Serie A, and it was reported yesterday that his price tag is €60m.

Gazzetta dello Sport believes that both Juve and Napoli have made offers comprised of €50m and two players in exchange.

The Bianconeri are said to have offered Rolando Mandragora and Marko Pjaca, something which could tempt the Viola.

The newspaper also reports that Inter are very keen on Chiesa, with Coach Luciano Spalletti pushing hard to sign him.

The Nerazzurri are willing to offer €55-60m, but they need to wait until next month due to their Financial Fair Play obligations.

Chiesa’s father, Enrico, would prefer his son to stay in Florence for another year, but is said to see San Siro as the best destination if the Viola decide to sell this summer.

Juventus to scout Golovin

https://www.football-italia.net/122520/inter-push-chiesa

Jun 7, 2018

Juventus will reportedly send scouts to the World Cup to evaluate CSKA Moscow and Russia midfielder Aleksandr Golovin.

The 22-year-old has already been linked with Arsenal and Monaco, and has been included in the host nation’s squad for the World Cup.

Today’s Corriere dello Sport reports that the Bianconeri are also following him, and will send observers to the tournament to watch him.

Russia are in a group with Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Uruguay.

Golovin linked with Juve

https://www.football-italia.net/122737/golovin-linked-juve

Jun 10, 2018

Reports in Italy are heavily linking CSKA Moscow’s Aleksandr Golovin with a move to Juventus.

The 22-year-old midfielder is in Russia’s World Cup squad and poised to start the host nation’s tournament opener with Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

And both Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport believe the Old Lady are about to step up their efforts to sign the playmaker, who has also been linked with Arsenal and Monaco.

Golovin, described as ‘better than Miralem Pjanic,’ could be the subject of an official Juve bid this coming week.

According to Corriere, Golovin is held in high regard by new Italy Coach Roberto Mancini, who wanted to sign him for Zenit St Petersburg during his time in Russia.

This morning’s version of Tuttosport, meanwhile, contains quotes praising the midfielder’s ability from Massimo Carrera and Fabio Capello – two other Italian Coaches to have worked in Russia.

Golovin scored seven goals and claimed six assists in all competitions as CSKA finished second in this season’s Russian Premier League table.

Real Madrid €170m for Milinkovic-Savic

https://www.football-italia.net/122751/real-madrid-€170m-milinkovic-savic

Jun 10, 2018

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to offer €170m for Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, challenging Juventus and Manchester United.

The Serbia international does not have a release clause in his contract and President Claudio Lotito has already said he turned down a massive proposal, wanting well over €100m.

Manchester United and Juventus have never disguised their interest, but now Real Madrid are also diving in to the race.

According to Il Messaggero newspaper and Spanish paper AS, the Blancos are prepared to offer €150m plus another €20m in performance-related bonuses.

The 23-year-old would also be guaranteed a salary worth €6m per year to begin with, rising as time wore on for five seasons.

Milinkovic-Savic confessed to FIFA.com that he is a lifelong Real Madrid supporter.

Juventus close to Golovin

https://www.football-italia.net/122891/juventus-close-golovin

Jun 13, 2018

Juventus are close to a deal with CSKA Moscow for Aleksandr Golovin, according to reports.

The 22-year-old will play for Russia at the World Cup, which starts tomorrow with the host nation taking on Saudi Arabia.

The Bianconeri have been increasingly linked with a move for the midfielder, and are believed to have agreed terms with him.

Now SportMediaset is reporting that a deal is also close with CSKA, as Juve are keen to do a deal before the tournament where Golovin’s price could rise.

The two clubs have a basic agreement worth around €20m, so now just need to work out the structure of the deal.

Golovin leads five-star Russia

https://www.football-italia.net/122971/wc-golovin-leads-five-star-russia

Jun 14, 2018

Russia made short work of Saudi Arabia with a 5-0 World Cup opener, but Juventus transfer target Aleksandr Golovin provided a goal and two assists.

The hosts opened the tournament at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow after the lavish opening ceremony and took on Saudi Arabia, who Italy beat 2-1 in a friendly last month. Milan Coach Gennaro Gattuso and director Massimiliano Mirabelli were in the stands.

It was a strong start from Russia, who broke through within 12 minutes after a series of corners. Juventus transfer target Golovin provided the assist with a floated cross to unmarked Yuri Gazinsky.

The celebrations didn’t last long, because Russian star Alan Dzagoev limped off with what looked to be a serious hamstring injury.

Denis Cheryshev came off the bench and scored the second goal before half-time, taking advantage of slack defending with Golovin’s searching pass involved again to smash in at the near post from six yards.

Another substitute made a big impact, as Dzyuba had only been on the pitch for 89 seconds when he nodded in a chipped Golovin assist.

Saudi defending was poor, but there was little that could be done to deny Cheryshev’s stunner in stoppages, a curler off the outside of the left boot into the far top corner.

Golovin got his name on the scoresheet too, adding to the two assists, by turning a free kick round the outside of the wall.

Golovin price-tag set to climb

https://www.football-italia.net/122989/golovin-price-tag-set-climb

Jun 14, 2018

Juventus agreed terms with Aleksandr Golovin, claim Sky Sport Italia, but CSKA Moscow are set to raise the Russia star’s price-tag.

The midfielder made an excellent impression in today’s World Cup opener, as Russia flattened Saudi Arabia 5-0 in Moscow.

He curled in a free kick, provided two assists and had a hand in another goal too.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio, Juve agreed personal terms with Golovin several weeks ago.

However, they don’t have a deal with CSKA Moscow yet and their asking price is set to go beyond the original €18-20m valuation.

The better he does at the World Cup, the more the price-tag will climb and the more clubs are showing interest, already including Milan and Arsenal.

Official: Favilli back to Juventus

https://www.football-italia.net/123017/official-favilli-back-juventus

Jun 15, 2018

Juventus have officially confirmed that they have re-signed Andrea Favilli from Ascoli for €7.5m.

The 21-year-old spent the 2015-16 season on loan with the Bianconeri, and played a few seconds when he replaced Alvaro Morata at Frosinone on February 7.

Having taken his medical in Turin yesterday, it has now been officially announced that the striker has re-joined the Old Lady.

“Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that the agreement with Ascoli Picchio F.C. S.p.A. for the definitive acquisition of the registration rights of the player Andrea Favilli has been finalised for €7.5m payable in two financial years,” the official statement reads.

“The purchase value may increase of maximum €1.25m on achieving given conditions within 30 June 2021.

“This acquisition will generate economic and financial effects starting from 2018-19 season. Juventus and the player have signed a 5-year contract of employment until 30 June 2023.”

Favilli is expected to be loaned to Chievo for next season.

Monaco want Mandragora?

https://www.football-italia.net/123032/monaco-want-mandragora

Jun 15, 2018

The latest reports state Monaco met Juventus for Rolando Mandragora, rather than Claudio Marchisio.

The Bianconeri met with the Ligue 1 side in Milan earlier today, and it was reported they had been discussing Claudio Marchisio.

However, Sky Italia is now reporting that the midfielder up for discussion was actually Rolando Mandragora, who made his Italy debut earlier this month.

Juve value the 20-year-old at at least €20m, and don’t want to lose him permanently.

That would mean either a loan or a sale with a buyback clause, something which would make a deal difficult.

Juventus after Boateng

https://www.football-italia.net/123059/juventus-after-boateng

Jun 16, 2018

Juventus are giving thought to €30m-rated Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng, claims German newspaper Das Bild.

The centre-back, who can also on occasion play at right-back, turns 30 in September.

His contract in Munich runs to June 2021, but he is no longer considered off the market.

Thanks to his past at Manchester City, there is also interest from the Premier League, but Juve would consolidate their excellent rapport with Bayern after deals for Douglas Costa, Medhi Benatia and Kingsley Coman.

Manchester United are an option, while Kicker points towards Barcelona.

Juventus plan SMS move

https://www.football-italia.net/123130/juventus-plan-sms-move

Jun 18, 2018

Juventus reportedly plan to get Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic by including players in exchange to meet the €100m valuation.

The Serbian midfielder is one of the hottest properties in Europe, and general manager Beppe Marotta has previously hinted he’s too expensive for the Old Lady.

However, the midfielder’s father made it clear yesterday that he thought his son should sign for the Bianconeri, and Tuttosport reports a three point plan to get the deal over the line.

The first stage is to thaw relations with Lazio, with whom there haven’t been any dealings since the Stephan Lichtsteiner transfer in 2011.

Last summer Juve pushed hard to get Keita Baldé Diao for a knockdown price, something which infuriated the Biancocelesti who sold him to Monaco.

Marotta and Lazio President Claudio Lotito have had more cordial relations in recent Lega Serie A meetings, as the champions look to repair the relationship.

The second part of the strategy is the inclusion of players in exchange to try and meet the Aquile’s asking price.

Tuttosport believes Marko Pjaca, valued at around €20m, would be one of those included but there is the possibility of including other players in the deal.

The third part is to ensure that Milinkovic-Savic makes it clear he wants to move to Turin, which may be difficult as he grew up supporting Real Madrid.

‘Milinkovic-Savic isn’t for sale’ :| sefz

https://www.football-italia.net/123142/‘milinkovic-savic-isn’t-sale’

Jun 18, 2018

Lazio President Claudio Lotito warns suitors off Sergej Milinkovic-Savic - “we’ve never put him up for sale”.

The midfielder enjoyed a stellar season for the Biancocelesti, and also impressed for Serbia as they beat Costa Rica at the World Cup yesterday.

“I understand all the interest, because he’s good,” Lotito told Radiosei.

“However, none of us, myself especially, has ever put him up for sale.”

Juventus, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona are all thought to be interested, with the Aquile demanding at least €100m.

Capello: ‘Golovin worthy of Juve’

https://www.football-italia.net/123140/capello-‘golovin-worthy-juve’

Jun 18, 2018

Fabio Capello believes Aleksandr Golovin is “worthy of Juventus” but warns “when these players go outside Russia they have trouble adapting”.

The former Bianconeri Coach was also in charge of the Russian national team from 2012 until 2015, and he was asked for his opinion on the Juve target.

“Golovin is worthy of Juventus,” Capello said on Radio Anch’io Sport.

“He has the right grit and a lot of quality. The problem is that when these players go outside Russia they have trouble adapting.

“Until now they haven’t shown what they have in Russia when they go outside of their own borders. We’ll see for Golovin.”

Aleinikov: ‘Golovin has talent for Juventus’

https://www.football-italia.net/123137/‘golovin-has-talent-juventus’

Jun 18, 2018

Former Juventus midfielder Sergei Aleinikov says Aleksandr Golovin “has everything” but “let’s see him at a much higher level”.

The Bianconeri have been linked with the Russian international, who impressed against Saudi Arabia in Thursday’s Wrold Cup opener.

“He has the talent for a great team, but that alone isn’t enough,” Aleinikov warned, speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Before defining him as strong or very strong, let’s see him at a much higher level than against Saudi Arabia, or in a great team like Juventus, who are right to be looking at him.

“He has everything, but there are many factors which can lead to a player exploding. He needs time to adapt to a different environment.

“You can’t change your judgement if it doesn’t go well in the first few months. If [Michel] Platini struggled then so could Golovin…

“Juve have a great midfield with Miralem Pjanic in the middle and there isn’t much space. Let’s say though that he’s a universal midfielder, strong in attack but also in defence.

“If he goes I’d tell him to learn Italian right away and be careful with journalists.” :)

SMS: ‘Juventus? No comment…’

Jun 22, 2018

Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic refuses to discuss links to Juventus - “I can smile, but I have to think solely about the World Cup…”

The Serbian midfielder is wanted by a host of top clubs in Europe, and his father has publicly urged him to join the Bianconeri.

After Serbia’s defeat to Switzerland earlier today, the Biancocelesti star was asked about his future by Premium Sport.

“I’m thinking only of the national team, not the transfer market,” Milinkovic-Savic replied.

“Juventus? I can smile, but I have to think solely about the World Cup. Then we'll see.”

Golovin not a Juve priority

https://www.football-italia.net/123477/golovin-not-juve-priority

Jun 24, 2018

Juventus do not consider CSKA Moscow and Russia midfielder Aleksandr Golovin to be a priority, it’s reported.

The Bianconeri did not disguise their interest in the 22-year-old and have been on his trail for several months.

However, an impressive showing in the World Cup has raised his profile and price-tag, attracting Premier League approaches from the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the boost that pushed his asking price over €25m means Juve are no longer particularly eager to complete the deal.

They do not consider Golovin a priority and are looking elsewhere, especially after signing Emre Can.

Juventus in for Godin

https://www.football-italia.net/123485/juventus-godin

Jun 24, 2018

Juventus are prepared to pay the €20m release clause for Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin if Medhi Benatia leaves, it’s reported.

According to Mediaset Premium, the Bianconeri have set their sights firmly on the 32-year-old Uruguay international centre-back.

His contract with Atleti is due to expire next summer and he has been at the club since 2010.

Benatia has been linked with Arsenal and Olympique Marseille after his World Cup performances for Morocco.

It would be a surprise for Juve to pay the full €20m for a player who is, after all, 32 years old with only 12 months left to run on his contract.

‘Juve wrong to sacrifice Pjanic’

https://www.football-italia.net/123512/juve-wrong-sacrifice-pjanic

Jun 25, 2018

Federico Bernardeschi’s agent has warned Juventus to forget about ‘sacrificing’ Miralem Pjanic for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Juve have been tipped to launch a huge bid for Milinkovic-Savic, but any deal for the Lazio midfielder could come at the expense of Pjanic, who himself has been linked with Barcelona.

“It’s not worth sacrificing Pjanic to get Milinkovic-Savic because Pjanic is at the height his mental and physical maturity, while I don’t consider Milinkovic-Savic superior to the Bosnian,” Beppe Bozzo told Tuttosport.

“Of course, he’s younger, but economically they’re valued the same and I consider them at the same level on a technical level.

“Higuain-Icardi swap? I say ‘yes’ for technical, tactical and environmental reasons. Higuain at Inter could represent what he was at Juve, an attacker motivated to win.

“Icardi in black and white would be a formidable signing, even if it would take him a little while to settle.

“Emre Can? He’s an exceptional signing because there were other top clubs in for him and he embraced the Juventus project.

“This shows how much appeal the champions of Italy have in attracting top foreign players.”

Juventus rejected for Golovin again

https://www.football-italia.net/123637/juventus-rejected-golovin-again

Jun 27, 2018

Juventus have reportedly had a bid of €19m plus bonuses turned down for Aleksandr Golovin, but he’s keen to move to Turin.

The Bianconeri have been pushing to sign the CSKA Moscow talent, but are nowhere near the asking price of €30m.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that they’ve had an offer of €19m plus a 10 per cent sell-on fee rejected for the Russian international, but Golovin himself is very keen to move to Serie A.

The midfielder has agreed on a €3m per season deal, and his desire to join Juve could well be decisive.

Mandragora to join Udinese

https://www.football-italia.net/123636/mandragora-join-udinese

Jun 27, 2018

Udinese are reportedly on the verge of a €20m deal for Juventus midfielder Rolando Mandragora, but the Bianconeri will retain a buyback clause.

The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Crotone, and has been the subject of interest from both Genoa and Monaco.

The Ligue 1 side didn’t want to include a buyback clause though, and Juve don’t want to see the youngster flourish elsewhere without an option of bringing him back.

Now Sky Italia is reporting that Udinese have agreed a €20m deal for a permanent move, and Mandragora should make the move in the coming days.

The Old Lady will have a €24m buyback clause.

Juve leave Golovin to Chelsea

https://www.football-italia.net/123724/juve-leave-golovin-chelsea

Jun 28, 2018

Juventus have pulled out of the bidding war for CSKA Moscow and Russia midfielder Aleksandr Golovin, as Chelsea close on a deal.

According to several different Italian sources, including Sky Sport Italia transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio, the Bianconeri have decided they won’t improve the offer of €20m plus bonuses.

CSKA want at least €25m and Chelsea have over the last 24 hours significantly increased their proposal.

Maurizio Sarri had already wanted Golovin at Napoli, so if the Coach is to take over at Stamford Bridge, a push for him makes perfect sense.

The 22-year-old scored seven goals with six assists in 43 competitive games this season.

SMS: ‘Juventus a top team’

https://www.football-italia.net/123726/sms-‘juventus-top-team’

Jun 29, 2018

Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic calls Juventus “a great team” but “we’ll see whether I stay or leave”.

The Bianconeri are keen to sign the Serbian midfielder, but Aquile President Claudio Lotito has slapped a €150m price tag on his head.

“Now I’m going back home to Lazio where I have a contract,” Milinkovic-Savic told reporters after Serbia were knocked out of the World Cup.

“Then we’ll see whether I stay or go, it depends on President Lotito and sporting director [Igli] Tare. I’ll talk to them, the €150m asking price isn’t a burden, it’s a motivation to do better.

“Every day I see links to a different team, it’s a motivation. Juve are a great team, at the top in Italy, you can see that from Scudetti and Coppe Italia in their trophy cabinet.

“Plus my little brother [Vanja] is in Turin, even if I’ll have to see what he does. He wants to play more, but [Salvatore] Sirigu is a great goalkeeper.

“It’s not like I’ll follow my brother though! But family is important to me.

“To the Lazio supporters I’d say that I’ve spent three beautiful years there and they’ll remain in my heart, now we’ll see if I stay or go.”

Despite those words, this morning’s Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Lazio are asking for €110m plus Rodrigo Bentancur to sell the Serbian to Juve.

On that basis the Old Lady won’t even come to the table, with general manager Beppe Marotta willing to wait and hope the price is lowered.
