Barcelona want at least €35m for Ivan Rakitic, but Catalan paper Sport claims he has his heart set on Juventus rather than Milan or the Premier League.

 

The midfielder is no longer part of their plans, as confirmed in an interview by director Eric Abidal with Mundo Deportivo today.

 

Elsewhere in the Spanish media, Sport insist that Barca rejected a €15m proposal from a Premier League club to take Rakitic in the January transfer window.

 

They want at least €35m to part with the Croatia international mid-season, even though he is currently out of action with an Achilles tendon problem.

 

The same newspaper also claims that although Milan have shown an interest in Rakitic, the 31-year-old has his heart set on joining Juventus.

 

It might be difficult, because his €8m per year salary is a lot to take on for a player his age and Juve would need to first sell one of their midfielders.

 

Sami Khedira and Emre Can could be on the way out, even if Blaise Matuidi is discussing a contract extension.

Juventus outcasts Mario Mandzukic and Emre Can are being linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund, who are reportedly preparing a €30m offer.

 

SportBild claims that the Bundesliga giants are looking at the possibility of bringing the pair to the Signal Iduna Park this January, as they have fallen behind in the German title race.

 

Emre Can has confirmed he is not happy with the situation at Allianz Stadium and Mandzukic has been looking for a new employer since he was dropped by Maurizio Sarri.

 

The former Croatia international has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the Premier League the last month, but reports are claiming that Borussia Dortmund are trying to snatch him up and bring him back to Germany.

 

The former Atletico Madrid forward is familiar with the Bundesliga after spells at Wolfsburg and Bayern Munich.

 

The German newspaper claimed that Dortmund are hoping to sign the duo for a total of €30m, whilst Juventus have previously been reported to expect such a figure for Emre Can alone.

 

The Bianconeri are preparing for a match against Sassuolo in Serie A this weekend and remain top of the League after an unbeaten start under Maurizio Sarri this season.

Juventus are hoping to offer Emre Can in an exchange deal with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes, claim Tuttosport.

 

The two midfielders are both frustrated at the lack of playing time at their current clubs and could push for January moves.

 

It’s reported the switch would suit all parties, as former Roma man Paredes has more creative characteristics and would be an understudy to Miralem Pjanic.

At the same time, Emre Can could add some much-needed grit to PSG in the middle of the park.

 

Paredes has started only six games this season under Thomas Tuchel, while Emre Can was openly furious at being left out of Juve’s Champions League squad.

 

The 25-year-old Argentine only joined PSG from Zenit St Petersburg for €40m in January.

 

He has plenty of Serie A experience from his time at Roma and Empoli.

Juventus goalkeeper Mattia Perin is reportedly closing in on a return to Genoa next month.

 

Perin failed a medical to Benfica over the summer and stayed at Juventus to recover from a shoulder injury.

 

Now that he’s recovered, Goal Italia reports Genoa are ready to bring the 27-year-old back on loan with option to buy at the end of the season.

 

His performances for the Grifone last time out not only earned him Italy recognition but also a move to the Old Lady, who paid €12m for his services in July 2018.

 

However, he has fallen behind both Wojciech Szczesny and Gianluigi Buffon in their pecking order, managing just nine appearances in all competitions.

 

The Rossoblu are currently bottom of Serie A on 11 points after 17 games, four points behind city rivals Sampdoria in 17th.

 

During his last spell with the Rossoblu, Perin kept 46 clean sheets in 151 games for the club and could give Il Grifone a boost in the fight for survival.

RB Salzburg starlet Erling Braut Haaland has reportedly chosen a move to Juventus and should allegedly arrive in January.

 

Tuttosport reports that Milan have lost the battle to Juventus, but there are other clubs involved on the continent.

 

Braut Haaland has scored 28 goals in 22 games across all tournaments this season and his eight in the Champions League has brought him a lot of attention.

 

The Corriere dello Sport also reports that the 19-year-old, who was brought to Salzburg from FK Molde, is getting closer to the Old Lady, offering the required €30m to bring him to the Allianz Stadium.

 

La Gazzetta dello Sport point to a five-year contract worth €3.5m per season plus bonuses for the forward.

 

RB Leipzig have a natural link with RB Salzburg, but their patron Oliver Mintzlaff said it was still difficult to compete with Manchester United, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund for the Norway international.

Velez Sarsfield’s 16-year-old sensation Matias Soulé confirmed on Instagram that he has joined Juventus.

 

The right-sided winger has shone in youth tournaments and earned interest from several European clubs.

 

Juve seem to have anticipated all of them, as he posted a picture of himself in the Turin locker room wearing their kit.

 

“Happy with this big step, thanks to all those who support me and help me realise my dreams. Forza Juve,” wrote Soulé on social media.

As we head into 2020, the same name remains at the top of Zinedine Zidane's transfer wish list: the Real Madrid coach is still eager to see Paul Pogba pull on the white shirt. However, his desire to sign the midfielder is not shared by the club hierarchy - a stance only strengthened by the emergence of Federico Valverde.

 

Valverde seen as future of Real Madrid midfield

Since 2015, the view at Madrid has been that Valverde is the future of Los Blancos' midfield, a belief reinforced by the giant strides the Uruguayan has made this season. Club bosses have made it clear to Zidane that, with the 21-year-old playing the way he has this term, they don't need to spend big on a signing such as Pogba.

 

However, Zidane feels very differently. He has a real soft spot for the Manchester United man, who is exactly the kind of player he most appreciates: a box-to-box operator who brings physical presence and plenty of ability on the ball. In the summer, 'Zizou' was tireless in his insistence that it should be Pogba or nobody - a position that saw him rule out the likes of Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek.

 

 

Valverde value has rocketed over past year

Madrid estimate that a deal for Pogba would cost more than 150 million euros, a high price that is in stark contrast to the mere 5m they spent on Valverde, whose market worth has skyrocketed in the last 12 months. Indeed, having established himself as a regular for both Madrid and Uruguay, his price tag has risen to 50m euros, according to the specialist website Transfermarkt.

 

Even when Valverde was playing less often - particularly in Zidane's first spell as Madrid boss - the club have been at pains to reiterate to the player and his camp that they have total faith in him. It's an attitude that has now made Pogba's arrival less of a likelihood. Zidane remains eager to work with his compatriot and the player is keen to go to the Bernabéu, but the club's hierarchy are not contemplating paying a huge fee for a signing they feel isn't a priority, not least given that United are unwilling to sell and refuse to even name a price.

The feeling is that bringing in Pogba would only serve to hinder Valverde's development, just as he is really starting to take flight.

Juventus target Erling Haaland has officially signed for Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.

 

Juve were seemingly leading the race until the weekend, when it emerged they were struggling to agree personal terms with Haaland.

 

Now, Dortmund have announced the arrival of the 19-year-old, who has signed a contract until 2024.

 

No figures have been released, but Gazzetta dello Sport mentions the Germans have paid €45m, with €15m of that going to agent Mino Raiola.

 

The newspaper adds he will earn a salary of €6m, which will rise to €8m after the third year of his deal, while it includes an undisclosed release clause.

 

Haaland, who had also been linked with Manchester United, RB Leipzig and even Milan, has been a huge hit this season, scoring 28 goals in just 22 games for Salzburg.

Erling Haaland’s wage demands were proving to be a problem for Juventus, reports Tuttosport.

 

The Old Lady have been linked with the striker for several months, along with Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Manchester United.

 

They emerged as favourites to land the 19-year-old earlier this week due to the influence of agent Mino Raiola.

 

However, the Turin daily claimed Haaland’s salary requests were becoming a sticking point in negotiations with Juve.

 

The Norwegian is said to be seeking €8m a season, which would place him fourth on the Bianconeri’s wage bill, behind Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala amd Gonzalo Higuain.

Juventus have overtaken Inter Milan in the race for Dejan Kulusevski and are at the finish line to complete a deal with Atalanta. Fabio Paratici has been at work in secret for 10 days with the Nerazzurri to find an agreement and close the purchase of the Swedish jewel.

Eventually, the Bianconeri got Percassi's yes for a proposal of 35 million euros plus 10 in bonuses. The player agreed a five-year contract with the Bianconeri and will sign in a few days. But above all, the Serie A champions will pay the sum immediately, so as to avoid surprises from other clubs (mainly Inter).

Mino Raiola hit out at Manchester United for “ruining” Paul Pogba, said Zlatan Ibrahimovic was “like Queen” and that Everton are “chuffed” with Moise Kean.

 

The transfer window has yet to reopen for the winter, yet Raiola has already been busy, negotiating Ibrahimovic’s return to Milan from LA Galaxy.

 

“Zlatan is back to have fun and entertain the world,” he told La Repubblica.

 

“I couldn’t allow his last stage to be in Los Angeles. These six months will be like the last tour of Queen, a long tribute: it had to be done at San Siro.

 

“Who convinced who? We argued over every transfer. If I was ignorant, I would think it was always me who decided his teams.

 

“Instead at 52, I understand that he decides and then he makes me feel as if I made the decision.”

 

Another of the agent’s clients Erling Haaland has also been on the move, joining Borussia Dortmund after he had been linked with Juventus.

Dejan Kulusevski is “very happy” after undergoing a Juventus medical, confirmed his agent, but “can’t wait to play” for Parma against Atalanta on Monday.

 

The 19-year-old is now effectively connected to three different clubs, as he is owned by Atalanta, is purchased today by Juventus for €35m plus up to €10m in add-ons, and will see out the rest of the season on loan at Parma.

 

In a strange twist of fate, the first Serie A match of 2020 will see Parma take on Atalanta.

Juventus have announced the financial details of their Dejan Kulusevski deal, paying Atalanta €35m plus up to €9m bonuses, but he’ll stay at Parma on loan.

 

The 19-year-old passed his medical in Turin this morning before signing the contract to June 2024 at the club headquarters.

 

A statement from the Bianconeri confirmed the cost of the operation is €35m plus up to €9m in add-ons and bonuses.

 

“Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that the agreement with Atalanta B.C. S.p.A. for the definitive acquisition of the registration rights of the player Dejan Kulusevski has been finalized for a consideration of € 35 million payable in five financial years.

 

“The purchase value may increase of maximum € 9 million on achieving given conditions in the course of the durations of the contract.

 

“Juventus and the player have signed a contract of employment until 30 June 2024. At the same time, Juventus has reached an agreement with Parma Calcio 1913 S.r.l. for the free loan until 30 June 2020 of the registration rights of the same player.”

 

It’s a huge profit for Atalanta, who picked him up aged 16 from IF Bromma for their youth academy in 2016 for just €165,000.

 

Parma reportedly turned down the chance to take Marko Pjaca for six months instead, so Kulusevski will see out the remainder of his season-long loan spell at the Stadio Tardini and join Juventus from June.

 

Kulusevski made a big impression this season, contributing four goals and seven assists in 17 Serie A appearances for Parma.

Juventus are yet again being linked with a Paul Pogba reunion, as Emre Can or Adrien Rabiot could be used as part of an exchange with Manchester United.

 

Pogba joined Juve as a free agent from the United academy in 2012 and quickly became a superstar, earning a €105m transfer back to Old Trafford in 2016.

 

However, he has never quite delivered at the same level in Manchester and did not disguise his desire to play for Juve again, repeatedly coming back to Turin in his free time and staying in contact with former teammates.

 

Above all, the 26-year-old World Cup winner has grown frustrated with the club, fans and media, while agent Mino Raiola drip-feeds a steady stream of vague comments about his future.

 

The player is injured and could even undergo ankle surgery, although it has not stopped him posting videos of himself dancing and playing basketball during the recovery period.

 

Pogba’s contract is due to expire in June 2021, even if there is an option to extend for another year, and there are even reports he could return to Juventus this month.

 

The Sun newspaper suggests Rabiot could be used in an exchange deal along with €90m cash, as the former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder has struggled to make an impact in Italy.

 

Emre Can is another player Juve would be happy to release as part of a transfer strategy, especially as he was cut from their Champions League squad due to being surplus to requirements.

Mauro Icardi's future is yet to be decided. After falling out with the Inter management last season, the Argentine moved to PSG on loan ahead of this campaign. So far, he has been very successful with the French side. However, that hasn't made his future any clearer.

 

PSG will have the opportunity of triggering a buy-out clause at the end of the season, but nevertheless, the striker would have to reach an agreement with the club for the deal to go through. Therefore, the situation remains entirely on Icardi himself.

 

According to reports from La Repubblica (via Calciomercato.com), the Argentine is going against the plans of Inter. Rather than opening up towards a move to PSG, he is opposing the potential redemption. The reason will make the Nerazzurri fans even more upset.

Juventus could offer Federico Bernardeschi in a part-exchange for either Lorenzo Pellegrini or Nicolo Zaniolo next summer, according to La Stampa.

 

The pair clash at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday evening, and the Turin daily speculates that the two clubs could do business next summer.

 

Juve director of sport Fabio Paratici is thought to be an admirer of both Pellegrini and Zaniolo.

 

Pellegrini has a €30m release clause which the Giallorossi are trying to eradicate via a new contract, whilst Zaniolo recently signed a deal that ties him to the capital until June 2024.

 

However, if Roma fail to make it into the Champions League next season, they will be forced to sell one of their prized assets, and it is here that Juve hope to take advantage.

 

The Bianconeri are reportedly willing to offer midfielder Bernardeschi in a part-exchange to soften the blow for Roma.

 

The 25-year-old has failed to command a regular first team place at Juve, despite being tried out in a myriad of different positions under Max Allegri and Maurizio Sarri.

Inter boss Antonio Conte switched his attention to the Italian after Ashley Young failed to secure an early release from his Manchester United contract.

 

Spinazzola's arrival is expected to reduce Young's chances of joining Inter at the end of the season.

 

The United left-back, 34, is out of contract at Old Trafford in June.

 

Italian striker Politano, 26, is returning to the club where he started his career, having progressed through the Roma youth set-up before spells with Perugia, Pescara and Sassuolo.

Maybe it is the right time. Not a happy ending but still an ending for which Juventus has been working for months. There is still a distance between Borussia Dortmund and Juventus but, according to our information, the feeling is that Emre Can could leave Turin and return to the Bundesliga.

After the sale, Juventus will try to fill the void of the German midfielder, perhaps accelerating also on other outgoing fronts, constantly at the centre of rumours, despite the denials from the club.

A situation to be observed is that of Allan. The Brazilian midfielder's relationship with Napoli is on the brink of collapse and the player could leave the San Paolo already this month. And one of the solutions could be his reunion with Maurizio Sarri at the Allianz Stadium.

The salary would also not be a problem for the Bianconeri but it would be necessary to find an agreement with the Partenopei. Meanwhile, for the future, Sandro Tonali remains the main objective and Brescia have set an asking price of 50 million euros.

Paris Saint-Germain are in advanced talks with Juventus for an exchange between Layvin Kurzawa and Mattia De Sciglio, claim L’Equipe and Sky Sport Italia.

 

It’s reported that the negotiations are progressing rapidly, with Kurzawa eager to make the trip to Turin within the next few days.

 

This move has gone from nowhere to the verge of completion remarkably quickly, with suggestions from Sky pundit Gianluca Di Marzio that it could be completed this weekend.

 

Arsenal had also shown strong interest in 27-year-old France international Kurzawa, whose contract with PSG is due to expire at the end of the season.

 

He has made only 14 competitive appearances in the current campaign.

 

De Sciglio is also 27 years old and prized for his versatility, as he can play on the right or left of defence or midfield.

 

The former Milan youth academy product is injured with a muscular issue at the moment and played in nine games for the Bianconeri this season.

Mino Raiola spoke after the Serie A fixture between Brescia and Milan and touched upon a few topics that were of concern to the media, as reports calciomercato.

 

Paul Pogba is a client of the agent that has been heavily linked with a move away from English club Manchester United, with Italian club Juventus one of the top rumoured destinations for the world cup winning midfielder. 

Pogba moved away from Turin to go back to his youth club during the 2016/17 season and after a cople of turbulent, inconsistent seasons at the red devils, a move back to the Italian champions has always been an option alongside the desirable move to Spanish giants, Real Madrid. 

Raiola had this to say about the Frenchman:

"Back to Juve? Juventus fans have to dream, because if you don't, you're dead. I don't work in dreams, but in the real world to make the right choices for my clients. Now is not the time to say what will be Paul's future. "

Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel confirms Layvin Kurzawa is “in advanced negotiations” for a Juventus transfer, with Mattia De Sciglio going the other way.

 

The reports of this swap emerged in L’Equipe on Friday afternoon and immediately took off, with multiple sources stating the deal was practically done.

 

This afternoon, PSG coach Tuchel announced in his press conference that Kurzawa and Edinson Cavani will not be in their squad to face Lille tomorrow.

 

“I have already given the all-clear to this exchange,” said Tuchel, “but nothing has yet been decided between the two clubs. The situation is still open, so that is why Kurzawa won’t be in the squad against Lille.”

 

There are reports from France that Kurzawa has already emptied his locker at the Paris Saint-Germain training ground.

 

It remains to be seen what system this swap will take, because there are suggestions Juventus want a cash sum in order to hand over De Sciglio.

Juventus have decided to keep Mattia De Sciglio and stopped a possible swap deal with Paris Saint-Germain including Layvin Kurzawa.

 

Sky Sport Italia reports that the Bianconeri have pulled out of an alleged exchange of players between the two giants.

 

Yesterday, multiple reports in Italy claimed that Juventus were unsure about the idea of swapping the pair and today the broadcaster reports that the Old Lady have decided to stop further negotiations.

 

Kurzawa will be a free agent in June, whilst De Sciglio’s contract expires in June 2022 and the versatile full-back will reportedly remain under Maurizio Sarri at the Allianz Stadium.

 

De Sciglio came from Milan in 2017 and has since appeared 40 times for the Old Lady in Serie A. He has scored one goal in the process - against Crotone on November 26, 2017 - the only in his career to this date.

Croatian winger Marko Pjaca has joined Belgian side Anderlecht on loan, according to an official announcement by the club.
 
The 24-year-old has joined the club on a six-month loan deal, with the Bianconeri hoping that the player can return to regular first team football. Pjaca has only made one appearance all season for the Turin based club for a total of 15 minutes, following on from a cruciate ligament rupture that kept him out of the team for 14 games.
