Agent Of Chiellini Claims Man. Utd Have Not Made An Approach

Agent unaware of United interest...

Jun 15, 2010

Manchester United have not made an approach for Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini, according to his agent Davide Lippi in reaction to press reports.

Both La giornalaccio rosa dello Sport and The Sun claimed United were pondering a move for the Italian international should Nemanja Vidic leave the club.

But Lippi has said the Premier League side have not made contact for his client. He claims the stopper is in line for a new deal.

"I have never heard from Manchester [united] and I don't know anything," he told Tuttomercatoweb.com.

"I am waiting for a call from Juventus in relation to an extension, but no one has contacted us."

Giorgio Chiellini Deserves A Big Contract - Agent

The centre-back could get a pay rise, at Juve or elsewhere...

Jun 18, 2010

Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini's agent, Davide Lippi, has told the press his client deserves a better contract and that it is not certain he will remain in Turin next season as other European giants show an interest.

"We are honoured that Giorgio is liked by clubs such as Manchester United and Real Madrid," he said according to the Daily Mirror and tuttomercatoweb.

"We've decided not to discuss the transfer market until after the World Cup. Giorgio signed a contract with Juve two years ago when he was young, but now he has been playing for two seasons at the highest level.

"Now is the time he deserves a big contract. The Juventus directors aren't in any hurry, for now everything is still. We'll see."

Chiellini's form has seen him become an indespensible member of the Juve starting XI and he was one of the few players to have a good season at the club despite their seventh place finish in Serie A in 2009-10. He is currently on international duty with Italy in South Africa.

Real Madrid Eye Giorgio Chiellini

Italian international on Madrid's radar...

Jul 2, 2010

Spainish giants Real Madrid are considering a move for Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini, according to Leggo.

Jose Mourinho wants Chiellini in Madrid knowing he will offer a reliable guarantee of strength.

Real Madrid are desperate to break their Champions League hoodoo and they are working on building a squad that will ensure success.

Chiellini is currently in talks with Juventus over a better deal. His agent Davide Lippi is pushing for a wage packet that matches the top earners at the club.

Negotiations between Lippi and Giuseppe Marotta continue, but if they breakdown then Chiellini could leave for a club that will offer him top money.

Manchester United had recently been linked with the Italian, but Lippi said "no concrete" offer had arrived.

Jul 20, 2010

Bayern Munich are ready to enter upon high-powered talks with Juventus for Giorgio Chiellini, whose agent Davide Lippi admits the Germans are interested.

Tuttosport claims Bayern are the latest in a long line of clubs to make enquiries for the stopper, who is hoping for bigger wages from Juventus.

That has given impetus to other sides to make their interest known, hoping Juve don't increase his wages, so they can turn his head with grandiose contract offers.

Giorgio Chiellini Wants Juventus Stay - Agent

The player's agent has revealed that Chiellini is not interested in leaving Juventus...

Jul 21, 2010

Italian international Giorgio Chiellini has recently been linked with Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid and with German champions Bayern Munich, but the strong defender is not interested in leaving Juventus, according to his agent.

Chiellini joined Juventus in the summer of 2005 and has since developed into an absolute key player at the Vechia Signora. He has made well over 100 league appearances for Juventus so far. Additionally, he has been capped at senior level for Italy.

He reportedly earns much less than the team's other top stars, but Juventus are in no hurry to offer Chiellini a new deal. Therefore, the highly rated centre back was thought to be considering a move away from the club. The player's agent has now downplayed any such rumours.

"We are quite happy about the interest of big clubs such as Real Madrid or perhaps Bayern Munich. However, Giorgio doesn't want to leave Juventus and is going nowhere for now,

My Future Is At Juventus, But We Have

To Reduce Gap Behind Inter - Giorgio Chiellini

Chiellini insists he will not leave Juve...

Jul 27, 2010

Giorgio Chiellini has pledged his allegiance to Juventus, insisting he has never felt even close to an exit.

The stopper has assured he will not be leaving the club and underscored the importance of reaching Champions League qualification after stumbling last season.

"I am happy to stay to help the team return to being great again. I have never felt like I was being sold," he told the press.

"Our minimum objective is to qualify for the Champions League and there is the potential to return to being a competitive squad.

"We have a long season ahead of us now and the fans need to understand this as we begin a new cycle.

"We are not on the same level as Inter, but the qualities are there."

Previous reports had claimed Chiellini was asking the club for an increase in wages from his current deal which expires in 2013.

Giorgio Chiellini Set For Juventus Contract Talks

Juve will try to tie their man down...

Aug 18, 2010

Juventus are set to open up contract talks with centre-back Giorgio Chiellini, Tuttosport claims, with the intention on tying down the 25-year-old defender to the club for the long-term.

Chiellini, who was born in Pisa, has repeatedly affirmed his desire to stay with the Bianconeri beyond the end of his present deal, which expires in 2013, though he has also indicated that he wants to see the gap between the Turin-based side and Inter closed.

Ahead of the new Serie A campaign, which begins on the last weekend of August, Juventus are set to discuss a new deal for the former Fiorentina man, who is said to be poorly paid in comparison to many of his counterparts.

Chiellini's agent Davide Lippi will meet with Juve director general Beppe Marotta imminently to propose a new contract, which is expected to run until 2015 and would involve the defender getting a significant pay rise.

Manchester City and Real Madrid have been credited with an interest in the Italy international in recent times, though it seems he would prefer to stay with the Old Lady.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic Has Made Milan

Stronger Than Juventus - Giorgio Chiellini

The centre-back broke down the top flight ahead of the new season...

Aug 29, 2010

Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has commented on the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Serie A, suggesting that the striker has added extra quality to Milan that shifts the balance of power in Italy.

"Objectively, someone like Ibrahimovic changes the equilibrium [of the league], now that he's there, it can be said Milan are ahead of us," he revealed to La Stampa.

"Inter are very balanced and maybe Milan and Roma have something more than us, Napoli and Palermo are also strong. The starting XI of Palermo today can play the best football.

"Pay attention to Genoa and Fiorentina, who are not involved in Europe and of course there is always a surprise!"

Chiellini and the Bianconeri open their Serie A campaign at the Stadio San Nicola against Bari on Sunday. Ibrahimovic, a former Juve player, signed with the Rossoneri from Barcelona for

Juventus Can't Win The Scudetto This Year,

But Milan Can - Giorgio Chiellini

Giorgio Chiellini has tipped Milan to win the Scudetto as he plays down Juventus hopes.

Aug 31, 2010

Giorgio Chiellini is sounding less than optimistic over Juventus' chances of winning the Scudetto this season.

The Italian international feels Milan will grab the Tricolore this season after becoming somewhat distant with the title.

His claim is based on the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and possibly Robinho's addition.

"If Ibrahimovic has the same impact he had at Inter then he can win the title by himself," Chiellini told the press.

"Him, Alexandre Pato and Ronaldinho will be scoring plenty. Juventus? We are quite a big step behind, but I like Juve's project. It's for the long term. Our objective this season is Champions League qualification.

"We have to be clear with the fans and not create pressure on ourselves or on them."

And with all eyes on Antonio Cassano and Italy ahead of their Euro 2012 qualifiers against Estonia and the Faroe Islands, Chiellini feels one man doesn't make a team.

"Cassano is the player with most quality, but it doesn't mean we are clutching onto him. If a team doesn't function then not even Messi can make a difference," he said.

Giorgio Chiellini Admits Bianconeri Are Not Strong Enough

The Old Lady centre-back thinks there are at least three teams better this season to challenge for domestic honours....

Sep 1, 2010

Juventus and Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini spoke to giornalaccio rosa dello Sport following the close of the transfer window yesterday and spoke of his concern about the level of the Bianconeri.

The 26-year old admitted it least three clubs were of a better standard in comparison to the Old Lady despite signings such as Milos Krasic from CSKA Moscow.

"I consider Rome to be at our level but there are two teams one step ahead of us and then there is Inter," Chiellini told the newspaper.

Juventus had a miserable start to the new campaign over the weekend losing to Bari and will now have a break in the domestic game before they can set matters right, as the Internationals begin this weekend.

Juventus Ready To Offer Giorgio Chiellini A Five Year Extension

Giorgio Chiellini will put pen to paper on a bumper deal with Juventus.

Sep 6, 2010

Juventus have agreed to hand Giorgio Chiellini a five-year deal, according to La giornalaccio rosa dello Sport.

The 26-year-old has been in line for a new deal for quite some time, but that was pushed into the background following an active transfer campaign by the club.

Previous reports had suggested a disagreement over wages, with Chiellini demanding the same recognition as some of the club's top earners.

Giorgio Chiellini Confirms Extension Talks

Juventus defender is eager to put pen to paper and sign a new deal with Juventus.

Sep 8, 2010

Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has confirmed that his plans to extend terms at the club are heading towards fruition.

Reports have suggested he will sign a new five-year extension on his current deal which expires in 2013.

And Chiellini has said next on the agenda is a meeting with Juve chiefs to finalise an accord.

"I agreed with Juventus that after the international fixtures we would see the directors to decide on my contract renewal," Chiellini told Tuttomercatoweb.com.

Italy beat the Faroe Islands 5-0 on Tuesday night, and Chiellini agrees a new-found wave of success has been established on the international scene.

"It was an important game for us and it was nice the way the fans welcomed the team in Florence," he concluded.

Real Madrid Want Giorgio Chiellini,

But He Wants To Stay At Juventus - Agent

Giorgio Chiellini is set to sign a new deal as he turns his head at Real Madrid interest.

Sep 24, 2010

Real Madrid's dependency on signing Giorgio Chiellini is nothing new, but they are unlikely to get him as his agent Davide Lippi claims he is in line to extend with Juventus.

Chiellini was tipped to leave Turin and head to Madrid after he became unhappy at his lack of recognition. But Juventus have been swift at moving for a new deal.

"We are in perfect agreement with Juventus. We have met with the club, but the player has not signed anything yet," agent Lippi told Tuttomercatoweb.com.

"Real Madrid? Chiellini is a Juventus defender. Many teams want him, not just Real Madrid.

"But that move will not go ahead because he wants to stay at Juventus."

Giorgio Chiellini's 2015 Juventus Extension

Far From Being Done And Dusted

Giorgio Chiellini's new deal with Juventus encounters more delays.

Oct 6, 2010

Giorgio Chiellini has failed to push through a deal in relation to a 2015 extension with Juventus, but his agent Davide Lippi is working hard to mediate a solution.

La giornalaccio rosa dello Sport reports the latest meeting in a long line of talks with Juventus has failed.

However, negotiations have not been aborted, but are being kept alive by a formal agreement between Chiellini and the club over a five-year extension.

Lippi has rescheduled another meeting with Juve general director Giuseppe Marotta for next week, and there is strong belief a deal will be closed.

That development will make room for Claudio Marchisio, who is next up for a renewal.

Giorgio Chiellini Believes Juventus

Must Qualify For The Champions League

In order for the season to be considered a success, Giorgio Chiellini

believes Juventus must qualify for the Champions League next season.

Oct 7, 2010

Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini admits in order for the Bianconeri to consider this season a success, they must qualify for the Champions League.

The Turin giants are currently in seventh place, only five points behind league leaders Lazio.

"Inter remains the strongest team, but I hope they are not as hungry to win this season," Chiellini jokingly told Corriere Dello Sport. "The truth is that we need to make a jump in quality against the weaker sides.

"We also need to play a better style of football as well.

"This season, it is fundamental that we reach the Champions League. This will allow us to attract players who can make a difference during a match," he added.

Giorgio Chiellini Relives Italy-Serbia Nightmare

Italy and Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has said confusion took hold

before panic during the abandoned Euro 2012 Serbia match.

Oct 16, 2010

Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini claims feisty political protests from Serbia Ultras were met with confusion and panic on the pitch during the abandoned Euro 2012 qualifier.

Protests then turned into violence as Serbia hooligans went on the rampage.

Chiellini feels sorry for those in the stands who were vulnerable and were forced to witness violent scenes first hand, rather than through the safety of a television screen at home.

"It was above all terrible for the number of children who were in the stadium," the Juventus defender told the press.

"There were around a thousand in the stands and those who walked out on to the pitch with the players didn
