Juventus close to Alex Sandro renewal

http://www.juvefc.com/juventus-close-alex-sandro-renewal/

Oct 4, 2017

Juventus are ever closer to agreeing a contract extension with Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro.

Sandro was the subject of a sustained bid from Chelsea in the summer and elected to turn down the opportunity to play in the Premier League in favour of remaining in Turin.

Initial reports in April suggested the left-back was very happy at Juventus and had no intention of leaving the club. The Bianconeri were working on renewing his contract before the summer transfer window opened, however no agreement was reached.

Tuttosport report that the players entourage and Juve executives will be meeting soon to discuss a new deal which will see his contract renewed until 2022, a further two-years added to his existing contract which ends in 2020. A new salary is also expected to be agreed which will see the 26-year-old earn 5m as well as certain performance related bonuses.

New Juve salary for Alex Sandro

http://www.football-italia.net/110947/new-juve-salary-alex-sandro

Oct 7, 2017

Alex Sandro is expected to sign a new contract with Juventus worth €5m per year, plus bonuses to match Chelsea’s proposal.

The Brazilian left-back currently has a deal to June 2020 that gives him €2.8m per year wages.

After rejecting numerous huge offers from Antonio Conte’s Chelsea over the summer, Juve intend to lock him down to a more lucrative contract.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Alex Sandro will double his basic salary to €5m in a new deal running to June 2022.

Once various performance-related bonuses are added in, he’ll earn close to the €7m wages that Chelsea had offered.

The paperwork is expected to be signed by early November.

Juve put Alex Sandro on market?

http://www.football-italia.net/113655/juve-put-alex-sandro-market

Dec 2, 2017

Juventus would be willing to sell Chelsea and Manchester City target Alex Sandro for €60m, according to Tuttosport, as he battles “personal issues.”

The Bianconeri resisted offers of a reported €70m over the summer in order to keep hold of their Brazilian left-back.

However, his performances this season have been disappointing and he was dropped in favour of Kwadwo Asamoah for last night’s 1-0 win away to Napoli.

“We have said many times that when a player asks to be sold, regardless of prestige or importance within the team, we are in favour of a sale. When a player is unsatisfied, it is better to let him go,” director general Beppe Marottatold Mediaset Premium last night.

“In the case of Alex Sandro, he was in full agreement with the idea of remaining with us. His performances are down to his own personal issues that we won’t go into here.”

The former FC Porto man’s current contract is due to expire in June 2022 and it’s now reported in Tuttosport that Juventus could be prepared to sell if Chelsea or Manchester City come in with an offer of €60m.

Alex Sandro wants Juventus exit?

http://www.football-italia.net/113818/alex-sandro-wants-juventus-exit

Dec 5, 2017

Reports in Britain claim Alex Sandro wants to leave Juventus, who would be willing to sell for around €57m.

The Brazilian left-back was heavily linked with Chelsea in the summer, but the Bianconeri refused to even consider selling one of their star men.

However, the defender has had a patchy start to the season, which general manager Giuseppe Marotta put down to “personal issues”.

The Juve director insisted that Alex Sandro was “was in full agreement with the idea of remaining with us” over the summer, but the Daily Telegraph believes he wants to leave Turin.

The newspaper claims he has told the club that he wants to leave, and the Italian champions would do business for around £50m [€57m], with Chelsea the most likely suitors.

A January move would be unlikely given that difficulty in finding a replacement, but a transfer could well be done next summer.

While Juventus have denied that Alex Sandro is unhappy, their policy has always been not to hold players against their will.

Juve sell Alex Sandro in January?

http://www.football-italia.net/114353/juve-sell-alex-sandro-january

Dec 16, 2017

Juventus could sell Alex Sandro to Chelsea or Manchester City in January, spending €20m on Roma full-back Emerson Palmieri.

The reports of a summer switch had already emerged yesterday, but today’s edition of La Stampa claims the situation is moving rapidly forward.

The Turin-based newspaper insists Alex Sandro could be pushed towards the Premier League in the January transfer window for over €60m.

He has struggled for form this season and might not fit into the new tactical set-up proposed by Max Allegri.

If Alex Sandro does leave Juventus next month, the replacement would be Emerson Palmieri, who has now recovered from a torn anterior cruciate ligament he sustained in May.

Another alternative would be recalling Leonardo Spinazzola early from his Atalanta loan, but that already failed over the summer after a lengthy tug-of-war between the two clubs.

Alex Sandro given €60m price-tag

http://www.football-italia.net/114805/alex-sandro-given-€60m-price-tag

Dec 27, 2017

Juventus would be willing to sell Alex Sandro for €60m, according to Tuttosport, with Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea interested.

The Brazilian left-back was the subject of a bidding war last summer, but he and the club resisted proposals believed to be up to €70m.

His performances this season and the fact they already have Leonardo Spinazzola on the way following his loan spell with Atalanta means the situation has changed.

Tuttosport newspaper today claim the Bianconeri are prepared to part with Alex Sandro for €60m, even in January.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United remain interested in a swoop.

Considering multiple reports Liverpool have agreed a £75m deal with Southampton for defender Virgil van Dijk, this may well be a bargain by Premier League standards.

PSG in for Alex Sandro?

https://www.football-italia.net/115400/psg-alex-sandro

Jan 10, 2017

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in Juventus full-back Alex Sandro, but any transfer would take place in the summer.

Chelsea were pushing to sign the Brazilian last summer, but he ultimately decided to remain with the Bianconeri.

However, the left-back still hasn’t signed a new contract in Turin, fuelling speculation that this could be his last season with the Old Lady.

According to calciomercato.com, PSG are keen to sign him, though any deal would have to wait until the summer.

After the €222m signing of Neymar this year, and the €180m loan with obligation to buy for Kylian Mbappé, the French club can’t spend this month if they want to meet their Financial Fair Play targets.

However, they plan to balance the books in the summer by selling the likes of Lucas Moura, Javier Pastore and Angel Di Maria, and that could free them to make a move for Alex Sandro.

The website reports that, as things stand, the former Porto man doesn’t want to discuss a renewal, which indicates he could leave after this season.

Alex Sandro 'will leave Juve'

https://www.football-italia.net/117311/alex-sandro-will-leave-juve

Feb 16, 2018

Despite Alex Sandro’s protestations, a transfer intermediary who worked on negotiations with Chelsea insists he’ll “leave Juventus after a few years.”

The 27-year-old left-back today stated he had always ignored speculation and his “only thought was Juventus.”

However, agent Federico Pastorello painted a very different picture to Rai Sport.

“I need to point out first that I am not Alex Sandro’s agent, but I did work on his possible move to Chelsea over the summer.

“After a few years at Juve, he’ll probably want to look around and the Premier League is the place to go. I expect some movement from him and the fact he didn’t extend his contract is a clue.”

The Brazilian is under contract with Juventus until June 2020, having joined from FC Porto for €26m in 2015.

It’s reported the Bianconeri rejected offers up to €70m for Alex Sandro over the summer from Chelsea and Manchester City.

This has not been his best season in Turin, contributing two goals and six assists in 25 competitive games.

PSG linked with Alex Sandro?

https://www.football-italia.net/118685/psg-linked-alex-sandro

Mar 18, 2018

Paris Saint-Germain are the latest club to be linked with a summer transfer move for Juventus’ Alex Sandro.

The Old Lady left-back, who has won both Serie A and the Coppa Italia twice since his arrival from Porto in 2015, has seen his stock rise hugely over the last year or so.

The likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid are all rumoured to be interested in securing the 27-year-old’s signature in a big-money transfer deal during the close-season.

However, Tuttosport claim that the French side are top of the list of the Brazilan’s suitors.

According to the Italian daily, Sandro’s positive relationship with PSG sporting director Antero Henrique could prove key, with the duo having previously worked together during their time in Portugal.

Juventus are said to have rejected an offer of €60m for Sandro last summer, but an even greater bid could be in the offing this time around.

As well as the defender, PSG are also reported to be considering a move to prise Coach Max Allegri away from the Bianconeri.

Current Parc-des-Princes boss Unai Emery is all but certain to leave at the end of the season after his side were eliminated from the Champions League by Real Madrid.

Alex Sandro injured on Brazil duty

https://www.football-italia.net/118778/alex-sandro-injured-brazil-duty

Mar 20, 2018

Juventus full-back Alex Sandro was forced to pull out of Brazil training with a thigh injury, which will be assessed later today.

The Bianconeri are already sweating on the fitness of Giorgio Chiellini, who was forced off in the draw with Spal on Saturday night.

With Milan to come after the international break, then Real Madrid in the Champions League, Max Allegri cannot afford to be without any of his star men.

Unfortunately for the Juve Coach though, Globoesporte is reporting that Alex Sandro withdrew from training today with a thigh injury.

It’s not yet clear if the injury is a serious one, or if the left-back merely stopped as a precaution, with further tests expected today.

Alex Sandro injury confirmed

https://www.football-italia.net/118827/alex-sandro-injury-confirmed

Mar 21, 2018

Juventus confirm Alex Sandro suffered a thigh injury while on international duty, but don’t offer a recovery time.

The left-back pulled up while training with Brazil, and was sent back to Turin for scans this morning.

There were immediately fears that he could miss the games with Milan and Real Madrid, and the Bianconeri haven’t offered a timescale for his return to the pitch.

“After having returned from the Brazilian national team training camp, Alex Sandro was given further medical examinations, which confirmed the extent of the injury,” a statement on the club’s website reads.

“The player has a muscular issue with his right thigh and will begin physiotherapy today.”

Juventus optimism for Alex Sandro

https://www.football-italia.net/118862/juventus-optimism-alex-sandro

Mar 22, 2018

It’s reported that Alex Sandro’s injury isn’t as bad as expected, so the Juventus defender could be back for Real Madrid.

The left-back was forced to pull out of the Brazil squad with a thigh injury, and he had scans in Turin yesterday.

The Bianconeri confirmed the injury, but didn’t offer a timescale for his recovery, with fears he’d miss the Milan and Real Madrid games.

Now Premium Sport is reporting that the injury isn’t as bad as first feared, and there is hope that he’ll be ready for the Champions League Quarter-Final.

There’s no chance of Alex Sandro being risked against the Rossoneri, but he could feature against Madrid.

Juve: Alex Sandro out, Bernat in?

https://www.football-italia.net/119511/juve-alex-sandro-out-bernat

Apr 5, 2018

Juventus will reportedly sell left-back Alex Sandro this summer and could replace him with Bayern Munich’s Juan Bernat.

According to Tuttosport, Juve hope to receive €60m for Alex Sandro from a Premier League club or Paris Saint-Germain, despite his below-par campaign.

The newspaper adds Juve will then target Bernat, who has made just seven appearances for Bayern this term.

However, that tally has been influenced by the Spaniard being sidelined by a serious injury at the start of the season.

The 25-year-old began his career at Valencia, before Pep Guardiola took him to Bayern in the summer of 2014.

He also has seven caps for Spain and is considered to have ‘similar characteristics’ to Alex Sandro, as well as the ability to play in more positions.

Tuttosport concludes a deal ‘isn’t impossible’ thanks to the ‘excellent’ relationship between the two clubs.

Second-choice left-back Kwadwo Asamoah is also likely to leave Juve once the season is out and would be replaced by Atalanta loanee Leonardo Spinazzola.

Alex Sandro to cost €60m

https://www.football-italia.net/123481/alex-sandro-cost-€60m

Jun 24, 2018

Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United have been told Juventus want €60m to part with Alex Sandro.

According to Mediaset Premium, the price-tag for the Brazilian left-back, who can also play in more advanced roles, is €60m with bonuses.

This appears to have frightened off Manchester United, who have already turned to other targets.

PSG are still very much in the running, but must wait until after June 30 due to Financial Fair Play considerations.

The 27-year-old had been at the centre of a transfer tug-of-war between Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City last year.

PSG tried for Alex Sandro again

https://www.football-italia.net/126192/psg-tried-alex-sandro-again

Aug 14, 2018

Juventus slammed the door on a Paris Saint-Germain attempt to sign Alex Sandro, claim Sky Sport Italia.

Their interest in the Brazilian full-back is nothing new, but this latest bid so close to Friday’s Serie A transfer deadline is a surprise.

It’s reported the response from Juve was negative, as they have no intention of selling the prized asset without a suitable replacement lined up.

The only real alternative would be Marcelo of Real Madrid, who today refused to comment on the possibility of joining good friend Cristiano Ronaldo in Turin.

Alex Sandro ‘never thought about leaving’

https://www.football-italia.net/128294/alex-sandro-never-thought-about-leaving

https://www.football-italia.net/128295/alex-sandro-expects-great-season

Sep 21, 2018

Alex Sandro insists he ‘never thought about leaving Juventus’ but admits ‘I haven’t received a renewal offer yet’.

Alex Sandro was heavily linked with moves away from Juve over the summer but ultimately stayed put, and the left-back made it clear his focus was on the Bianconeri.

“I never thought about leaving Juventus, but I haven’t yet received a renewal offer yet,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“I still have this year of contract left and the next one, I’ll keep focusing on the present and then we’ll see what happens.”

Alex Sandro is expecting a ‘great’ season for Juventus but warns that will only happen if they always play with ‘100 percent motivation’.

Juve are heavy favourites to win an eight straight Scudetto and are being tipped to go far in the Champions League after their Italian-record deal to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

“I saw Cristiano very motivated and he can’t wait to get out on the field after the injustice against Valencia,” continued the left-back to Sky Sport Italia.

“Cristiano has brought great quality with him, I’m getting to know him, understand his movements and how he likes to receive the ball, and I think that slowly I can help him.

“Cancelo-Alex Sandro one of the best? We’re working to get to the top. We’re very strong in good, but also in defence.

“Juve have the best defence in Europe? We can become the best. We still have to work hard and play well. We have so much quality.

“I think this will be a great season for my teammates and I. I feel good, but I know I still have to improve.

“It was a victory for the group against Valencia, that’s our strength. After the Champions League, is it more difficult to face Frosinone? It’s especially a head issue.

“We need to think about going onto the field 100 percent motivated. Only like that will we be able to win another title and play with consistency.”

Alex Sandro's debut Brazil goal

Oct 13, 2018

Juventus left-back Alex Sandro scored his first Brazil goal in a 2-0 friendly victory over Saudi Arabia.

Neymar was the star of the show in Riyadh, as he provided the assist for Gabriel Jesus, then whipped a corner on to the head of Alex Sandro in stoppages.

It was the Juve man’s first goal at his 10th appearance for the Selecao.

Saudi Arabia went down to 10 men at the 85th minute, as goalkeeper Mohamed Al-Owais handled the ball outside the penalty area.

Brazil will face Argentina in a friendly in Jeddah on Tuesday evening.

Alba or Marcelo for Juventus

hhttps://www.football-italia.net/129462/alba-or-marcelo-juventus

Oct 18, 2018

Juventus still haven’t agreed a renewal with Alex Sandro, with reports they’re considering Marcelo or Jordi Alba to replace him.

The Brazilian was heavily linked with Chelsea in the summer of 2017, and Manchester United this year.

On both occasions he stayed with the Bianconeri, but despite frequent talk of a renewal there has been no agreement between player and club.

According to Tuttosport, negotiations have been stalled for some time and Juve are evaluating alternatives.

The dream would be Marcelo of Real Madrid, who was linked in the summer and would be keen to reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo.

The second option is Barcelona full-back Jordi Alba, who appears to be unwilling to renew his contract, which expires in 2020.

Alex Sandro: I want to play in England

https://www.football-italia.net/130937/alex-sandro-i-want-play-england

Nov 20, 2018

Juventus left-back Alex Sandro has confessed that ‘I’d like to play in the Premier League one day’.

Alex Sandro has continually been linked with moves to Manchtster United, and the 27-year-old – whose contract expires in 2020 – suggested he was open to the switch.

“I’d like to play in the Premier League one day,” he told reporters from Brazil’s training camp.

“However, I’m happy in Italy right now and I want to continue playing for Juventus.”

Alex Sandro to renew with Juventus

https://www.football-italia.net/131694/alex-sandro-renew-juventus

Dec 7, 2018

Multiple reports say Alex Sandro has agreed to renew his Juventus contract until 2023.

The Brazilian full-back has been in contract talks since the summer of 2017, when he turned down a move to Chelsea.

In the summer he was again linked with a Premier League switch, with Manchester United said to be interested.

Now though Goal Italia and Sky are both reporting that a deal has been reached on a new contract which will see Alex Sandro commit to the Bianconeri until 2023.

The left-back signed form Porto in 2015 and has since made over 100 appearances.

Official: Alex Sandro renews with Juventus

https://www.football-italia.net/132301/official-alex-sandro-renews-juventus

Dec 20, 2018

Alex Sandro has officially renewed his Juventus contract, committing to the Serie A leaders until 2023.

The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a transfer in the past two summers, with Chelsea and then Manchester United said to have been interested.

While the left-back decided to stay in Turin, he didn’t sign an extension to his contract expiring in 2020.

Today though the Bianconeri have announced that Alex Sandro has signed a three-year extension.

“‘The fans can be sure of having a player who will always give 100% to get the win’,” the statement begins.

“These were the words spoken by Alex Sandro in 2015 when he was presented as a Bianconeri player.

“Never could a truer word be said about the Brazilian, who today has pledged to continue that will by committing himself to Juventus until 2023.”

Juventus shortage of full-backs

Lutto per Alex Sandro: il terzino torna in Brasile

https://www.football-italia.net/144596/juventus-shortage-full-backs

Sep 26, 2019

Juventus have barely any available full-backs against SPAL this weekend, as Alex Sandro has flown to Brazil on compassionate leave.

The Bianconeri were already dealing with a huge injury crisis that ruled out Mattia De Sciglio, Danilo, Douglas Costa, Marko Pjaca and Giorgio Chiellini.

Alex Sandro has now been given permission to fly back to Brazil following the tragic death of his father.

Juan Cuadrado has been used so far as a makeshift right-back, but even that might not be enough to fill the gaps.

Suddenly, the Juventus plan of loaning Luca Pellegrini to Cagliari for only six months – a highly unusual move for the summer – seems to be a wise insurance plan.

The former Roma player was given the shorter than normal lease in case he needed to be recalled to base in January.

Alex Sandro injured for Brazil

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor alex sandro infortunato con il brasile

https://www.football-italia.net/146554/alex-sandro-injured-brazil

Nov 17, 2019

Juventus full-back Alex Sandro has picked up a right thigh injury while on international duty with Brazil.

He went off during the 1-0 friendly defeat to Argentina on Friday and is therefore ruled out of the squad for their next test against South Korea on Tuesday.

According to Globoesporte, Juve medics have been informed of the injury, which is to the right adductor at the top of his thigh.

However, Alex Sandro will remain with the Selecao squad and continue treatment in their training camp in Abu Dhabi.

It’s more bad news for Juve, considering Miralem Pjanic went off for Bosnia and Herzegovina during a Euro 2020 qualifier against Italy on Friday.

He has been sent back to Turin early for medical tests, again for an adductor issue.
