The Colombia international made a £23.3 million move from Fiorentina to Chelsea in February 2015, but made just 15 appearances for the Blues before returning to Italy.

Juan Cuadrado has suffered a thigh injury with Colombia, and will return to Juventus for scans.

 

The winger missed today’s 4-0 friendly win over Marcello Lippi’s China, and TuttoJuve reports that he has a problem with his left adductor.

 

It’s thought that Coach Jose Pekerman has granted Cuadrado permission to return to Turin early, where he’ll undergo tests to understand the extent of the injury.

 

The Bianconeri face Sampdoria away on Sunday afternoon, and currently sit just a point behind Napoli at the top of Serie A.

Juventus could lose Juan Cuadrado for two to three months if he has surgery to correct a recurring groin injury.

 

The Colombia international has been out of action for several weeks already with the inflammation, which flares up repeatedly after strenuous exercise.

 

Bianconeri medical staff had hoped to resolve the issue with conservative treatment, but a consultation in Barcelona with specialists seemed to point towards an operation.

 

If Cuadrado were to go under the knife, it would fix the problem, but require two to three months on the sidelines.

 

Because of this, Juventus are now battling Sassuolo on the transfer market for Matteo Politano, who they see as a suitable alternative to Cuadrado.

 

Politano has a price-tag of around €25m, but so far Napoli have offered €23m plus the loan of Adam Ounas.

Juventus winger Juan Cuadrado needs an operation, reports suggest, so he’ll be out for around two months.

 

The Colombian international was in Germany today to see a specialist, as he’s been struggling with a groin injury.

 

Multiple reports, including Sky Italia and TuttoJuve are now suggesting that he has been advised to go under the knife, with the operation to take place tomorrow.

 

It’s likely Cuadrado will be out for at least 40 days, but the prognosis could be 60 days or longer.

 

As a result, he’ll miss the Champions League Last 16 clash with Tottenham Hotspur, as well as the Derby della Mole with Torino.

Juventus have confirmed Juan Cuadrado will be out for “about 30 days” after undergoing surgery in Germany this morning.

 

The winger flew out to see a specialist about his recurring groin injury, and it was revealed last night that surgery had been recommended.

 

The Colombian international went under the knife this morning, and he’ll be out for 30 days at the very minimum.

 

“Juan Cuadrado underwent surgery today on a longstanding groin problem, in the presence of Dr. Claudio Rigo, with the operation having been performed by Dr. Ulrike Muschaweck in Munich,” the Bianconeri confirmed on their official website.

 

“Upon returning to Italy the player will immediately start his rehabilitation programme, with a period of about 30 days rest being foreseen as necessary before he returns to training.”

 

Cuadrado will therefore miss all of the Old Lady’s games in February, including Fiorentina away, the Derby della Mole with Torino and the first leg of the Champions League Last 16 tie with Tottenham Hotspur.

 

While he'll be out of training for around a month, it will almost certainly be longer until he can return to the pitch, given he's played only one game since the 0-0 draw with Inter on December 9.

Juan Cuadrado returned to Juventus training today, though the winger is still working away from the rest of the team.

 

The Colombian international had surgery on a groin injury, so he hasn’t featured for the Bianconeri since December 23.

 

Today the club has confirmed that Cuadrado has returned to Vinovo to continue his recovery, though he’s still following a personalised programme, rather than working with his teammates.

 

TuttoJuve speculates that he could return to training with the group in around 20 days, while Federico Bernardeschi will be assessed early next week to see if he requires surgery.

 

There is also optimism for Giorgio Chiellini and Alex Sandro, both of whom were forced to pull out of international duty, with Italy and Brazil respectively.

 

Chiellini could be fit to face Milan after the international break, though no risks will be taken in view of Real Madrid in the Champions League Quarter-Final first leg.

 

Alex Sandro, meanwhile, will almost certainly miss the visit of the Rossoneri, but he too could be fit to face Madrid.

 

Paulo Dybala was the last to leave Vinovo, reports TuttoJuve, with the forward staying until around 16.00 local time.

Juan Cuadrado returned to Juventus training today, indicating he may be closer than thought to a return.

 

The winger has been out with a groin problem, and had surgery in Germany in January.

 

The Colombian international returned to Vinovo last week, but he followed a personalised recovery program, away from the rest of his teammates.

 

Today though Cuadrado returned to the group for “some of today's training session”, as confirmed by the Bianconeri’s official website.

 

Mario Mandzukic has returned from international duty with Croatia, and training alongside Paulo Dybala today, indicating both will start against Milan on Saturday.

Juventus are reportedly preparing to extend Juan Cuadrado’s contract, after Max Allegri made clear he considers the Colombian unsellable.

 

The winger missed large chunks of last season with a recurring groin problem, but appears to have bounced back after surgery and is impressing at the World Cup.

 

According to calciomercato.com, Arsenal were interested in signing the 30-year-old and made a new approach last week.

 

However, Juve Coach Allegri has made it clear to the board that he considers Cuadrado unsellable, so all offers have been rejected.

 

Indeed, it appears the Old Lady may actually be ready to renew his contract, adding another two years to his current deal, which expires in 2020.

 

Talks with his agent, Alessandro Lucci, are already underway and will continue after the World Cup.

Juventus have announced that Juan Cuadrado has had a successful operation on his left knee.

 

The Colombian winger was injured against Young Boys in the final Champions League group game, and has gone under the knife before the winter break.

 

“Today, Juan Cuadrado was given an arthroscopic treatment on his left knee for the injury to the external meniscus and the cartilaginous fracture reported in the knock sustained during the Champions League match against Young Boys in Bern,” a statement on the Bianconeri’s website reads.

 

“The intervention, carried out in Barcelona by Dr. Cugat, and assisted by Juventus' Head of Medical Staff, Dr. Claudio Rigo, was perfectly successful. The player will begin the recovery process in the next few days.”

It’d be the end of his Juve adventure after four seasons, but also a big change in strategy, because it had been rumoured Maurizio Sarri would let Cancelo leave to turn Cuadrado into a right-back.

 

Now that Cuadrado is leaving, it is entirely possible Juventus will reconsider Cancelo’s role within the team.

Juventus have announced that Juan Cuadrado has signed a new contract with the club until 2022.

 

Despite joining Juve in 2015 as a winger, Cuadrado has been reinvented as a right-back by Maurizio Sarri this season.

 

His performances in the position have earned him two more years with the Bianconeri, given his previous deal was due to expire at the end of the season.

 

The 31-year-old has scored 15 goals and provided 30 assists in 155 appearances for the Old Lady since arriving from Chelsea, winning four Scudetti and reaching a Champions League Final.

 

He becomes the second Juve player to sign a new contract in as many days after Leonardo Bonucci, with goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny set to follow.

Juan Cuadrado has revealed that Juventus are “calm”, as Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi are “much better” after testing positive for the COVID-19.

 

The Colombian star has reassured the fans that his teammates are doing well but warned his compatriots in South America to take the necessary precautions against the Coronavirus outbreak.

 

“We are calm, because our teammates Rugani and Matuidi are much better and we follow the indications of the government,” he told ESPN. “I don’t want people to take this situation lightly. Here in Italy it’s quite difficult.

Juan Cuadrado has apologised after inadvertently making a joke on an Instagram post commemorating Andrea Fortunato, a former Juventus player who died from leukaemia 25 years ago. .....

 

Cuadrado replied to the post, tagging team-mate Adrien Rabiot with the comment, ‘Rabiot, it’s you!’ – presumably referencing the similarity between the two players’ hairstyles.

 

 

The Colombia international issued an apology after realising his mistake soon after.

Writing on his own Instagram story, Cuadrado said: "I take this opportunity to apologise to all the Juventus fans for the post I commented on.

Juan Cuadrado is not worried about Juventus’ start to the season and warns Barcelona ahead of their Champions League meeting on Wednesday.

 

The Old Lady sit fifth in the Serie A table with nine points in the opening five games, including a 3-0 win by default against Napoli.

 

"Comparing with the last few seasons this start was a bit slow,” admits the Colombian winger in an interview with Sky Sport.

 

“However, we still haven’t lost a game and I remember when we had another bad start but we managed to get back and achieved a great result.” ......

The Colombian winger had tested positive on January 5, but Juventus have announced the 32-year-old has now recovered. ......

 

 

"Juan Cuadrado carried out, as per protocol, two controls of the molecular test (swab) for Covid-19 with negative results," Juventus' official statement reads.

Juan Cuadrado could remain in Serie A as he nears a Juventus exit

 

 

 

Juan Cuadrado’s tenure at Juventus could come to an end within the next 72 hours as he nears his departure from the club as a free agent.

 

The Colombian winger’s performances were not deemed sufficient to earn him a contract extension at the Allianz Stadium, prompting Juventus to be open to his departure.

 

Several parties have shown interest in acquiring his services, including clubs from the Saudi Pro League, where Cuadrado would have the opportunity to secure a lucrative deal.
