Introducing the 'new Balotelli': Juventus'

16-year-old sensation Moise Kean

Manchester City and Arsenal are reportedly pursuing the Italy

international, whom Juve are desperate to tie down to a new deal.

Midway through last season, Moise Kean was asked how many goals he had scored for Juventus Under-17s. "I don't count them," he admitted to the Gazzetta dello Sport. The Bianconeri have been counting, though, and the striker's numbers at youth level are staggering.

He struck 21 times in just 10 outings for the Giovanissimi before racking up 14 goals in 15 appearances for the Allievi Nazionali.

Last term, meanwhile, the Vercelli native netted 24 in 25 games - and this, in spite of the fact, that he only turned 16 in February 24, meaning that for a significant chunk of the campaign he was regularly facing boys two years older than him.

However, as Kean says: "For me, it's normal playing with older players. I don't find it difficult."

He's proving as much again this season, having hit five goals in five games for Juve's Primavera. As a result, Kean has been included in Juve's first-team squad by Massimiliano Allegri for Saturday's Serie A game against Udinese.

Of course, Kean's rapid progression only makes the need to tie Kean down to a professional contract all the more pressing.

As far back as January, Juve were supremely confident of their most promising young player committing his immediate future to the club.

However, Kean is represented by a certain Mino Raiola, the self-styled super agent who masterminded Paul Pogba's world-record transfer from Juve to Manchester United during the summer.

According to reports, Raiola is willing to allow his client to sign the three-year deal that the Bianconeri have proposed - but only if they agree to let the teenager go abroad on loan, preferably to either Netherlands or Belgium.

It thus came as no surprise that when recently asked by the Corriere dello Sport to offer up one potential mover in the 2017 transfer market, Raiola replied: "Kean. And not only because I'm his agent. He's just 16 but, if he continues like this, Moise can become a No.1. He can become one of Juve's big stars. He has talent, physique and self-sacrifice. He knows how big an opportunity that he has in front of him. He has frightening determination."

Indeed, Kean's belief in his own ability - which has led to rumours of him being difficult to manage - is matched only by his desire to make it to the top.

As a young black Italian striker of African extraction being coached by Raiola, the obvious comparison has been made with Mario Balotelli. However, while Kean has already professed his admiration for the Nice No.9, he is encouragingly determined to learn from his fellow forward's follies. "Apart from the stupid things that he does, I like him a lot as a player," the teenager told the Gazzetta.

They certainly share plenty of physical and technical attributes but there are some differences, with Kean arguably the more versatile of the two.

mino-raiola-moise-kean-ps_1tmhcnu0crgjx1

Having been initially used at under-age level by Juve as an out-and-out No.9, Juventus Primavera coach Fabio Grosso has also used him on the left flank to impressive effect. With his mix of pace and power, Kean excels when given open space to run into out wide before then cutting inside onto his favoured right foot.

Of course, he is by no means the finished article, there are plenty of rough edges. It is notable how many times that he manages to get past boys slower and older than he through brute force alone. That will change as he continues to step up in level.

However, there is no denying that this is the most exciting prospect to emerge from the Juventus academy since Claudio Marchisio, as underlined by the fact that the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal have taken an interest in Kean's contractual situation.

If there is still a modicum of uncertainty over his future at club level, there is no doubts about whom he wants to represent in the international arena.

"My origins are in Ivory Coast and I don't forget it," he explains. "But I was born and raised in Italy. I want to honour the shirt."

Of course, it will be some time yet before he can start thinking about representing his country at senior level. Until then, he'll just focus on scoring goals for Juventus Primavera - not that he'll be keeping count of course.

Arsenal Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Moise Kean

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2669874-arsenal-transfer-

news-latest-rumours-on-moise-kean-and-kristopher-da-graca?

Oct 16, 2016

The agent of Juventus starlet Moise Kean has reportedly asked the Bianconeri to loan the youngster out to a “big European club,” while Arsenal defender Kristopher da Graca is being linked with a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

As reported by Calciomercato, Kean has yet to sign his first professional deal with Juventus amid interest from Arsenal andManchester City. His agent Mino Raiola has been negotiating with theBianconeri for some time now, but while the two sides have gotten close to an agreement, he still hasn't put pen to paper.

Calciomercato has now revealed some of the conditions Raiola is demanding, including a loan to a major European club:

Trouble is, the player’s agent, a man you might already have heard of, a certain Mino Raiola, wanted Juventus to loan him out to a big European club before signing a new contract with the Old Lady. Raiolaimposed his condition before the beginning of the transfer window generating the anger of both [Giuseppe] Marotta and [Fabio] Paraticithat want to keep the player, but are also tired of Raiola’s smart tactics.

Despite the tricky negotiations, Kean is expected to sign his deal withJuventus soon and turn down moves to the Premier League. The 16-year-old talent was on the bench for Juventus' 2-1 win over Udinese on Saturday, a clear indication of just how highly Juventus rate him.

Per Goal's Mark Doyle, he bagged an impressive 24 goals in 25 matches last season, despite constantly going up against defenders much older than him. This year, he has already found the net five times in five contests with the Primavera.

Here's a look at some of his top highlights:

Frequently compared to compatriot Mario Balotelli, Kean has impressive athletic ability and physical strength, but he's also a fine technician and an instinctive player. He's well ahead of the curve and can play both as a main striker or as part of an attack, including splitting out wide.

He'll continue to be linked with Arsenal and City until he puts pen to paper, and, even then, his name is expected to pop up in transfer rumours―Raiola has a tendency to move his clients around frequently, evidenced by the many stops Balotelli and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have made throughout their careers.

For now, all the clubs involved can do is wait as Kean and Raiola make up their minds. In all likelihood, the Bianconeri will continue to use the youngster until Marko Pjaca returns from injury, and if Raiola can get assurances after that, he'll finally sign his deal.

Kean to sign Juventus deal

http://www.football-italia.net/94320/kean-sign-juventus-deal?

Nov 13, 2016

Amid Manchester City and Arsenal interest, Juventus are set to lock down 16-year-old striking sensation Moise Kean.

Nicknamed the ‘new Mario Balotelli’ – and represented by the same agent, Mino Raiola – he was born in Italy from Ivorian parents.

Despite only being 16 years old, he has already been promoted to the senior squad and sat on the bench for several Serie A and Champions League games.

This season he scored five goals in as many matches between the Primavera tournament and the UEFA Youth League.

Arsenal and Manchester City are among those who have shown interest in the hitman, who due to the rules in Italy cannot yet sign a professional contract.

According to the Corriere dello Sport newspaper, Raiola has agreed not to let another club poach Kean and he will sign a professional deal with Juventus in January.

The player turns 17 on February 28 and is expected to make his Serie A debut soon, as Paulo Dybala is out injured for another three weeks.

Juventus' Moise Kean: A Carbon Copy

of Everton's Romelu Lukaku

When a young player skips up the age groups in order to play with those several years his senior, it rarely escapes notice. It tends to be a signal that they’re too talented to play with those of the same age, and it paints the picture of a shooting stara wonderkidon the cusp of making a seismic breakthrough.

That’s certainly been the case with Juventus’ Moise Kean.

At just 16 years of age, he’s playing consistently for the Old Lady’s Primavera side (under-20 level). He’s also featuring in the UEFA Youth League, helping spearhead Fabio Grosso’s effort to reach the knockout stage.

Kean has represented Italy at multiple levels and currently plays for the under-17s; he has Ivorian heritage but has pledged to play for and “honour the Azzurri shirt,” per FourFourTwo.

Hopes are already sky high for the Vercelli-born youngster; his striking statistics at youth level are phenomenal, and he was included in Juventus UEFA Champions League squad for the draw against Lyon at the beginning of November. If he had made it onto the pitch, he would have been the first 21st century-born player to feature in the competition.

This naturally generates hype, but what makes him so special? Why are people this excited about his talents?

Physical presence

The first thing to say about Kean is that physically, he’s monstrous. When you see him, it becomes immediately obvious why the decision was taken to move him up the age groupshe’d learn nothing playing against 16-year-olds, as he’d just bulldoze his way to victory.

That said, he’s still bigger, faster and stronger than almost every other player in the Primavera category. Centre-backs balk at his size and at the idea that they are going to have to handle him for 90 minutes; Kean has struck fear into UEFA Youth League defensive lines housing players three years older than him.

His combination of speed over the top and strength when playing with his back to goal means an easy comparison springs to mind when watching him: Romelu Lukaku. He is the complete physical package; a multi-dimensional attacker capable of punishing you in different ways.

Tendencies

Back to goal, Kean’s like an immovable mound of muscle. If he needs a breather or to take in his surroundings, he backs up against a defender and shields the ball superbly. It’s quite a regular sight, and it’s incredibly rare anyone’s able to poke the ball away from him because he’s so much stronger than everyone else.

One of his best moves is to draw his marker in, to feel him on his back, then spin him and surge in behind. Because of his size, speed and agility, he can breeze past you and into space before you’ve any idea what’s happening.

But to utilise Kean best, you need to make use of his runs. He constantly tries to dart in behind defences and stress the centre-backs’ outside channels, starting centrally and drifting wider to collect possession. He’s a space hunter.

It’s almost impossible to beat him to the ball, and the pass doesn’t have to be particularly accurate, because his acceleration is so impressive he just eats up the ground and then shoulders you away from the ball when he reaches it.

If he can slip in behind and head straight for goal, you’re in trouble. His finishing is superb, and he is dynamite one-on-one. He prefers a powered strike but has all manner of finishes in his locker; his snapshotswhere he turns on a sixpence and powers home, or works a tiny angle before pulling the triggermake him lethal anywhere inside the penalty box.

Areas To Improve

Kean does have some issues when he splits wide running onto balls. Although he always wins the 50-50s to gain possession on the flanks, his crossing is poor and his use of the ball from here isn’t great. At times he slows up and tamely passes the ball backward, killing the momentum in the attack, and at other times he drives infield and loses it.

These drives can be devastating, because he’s so quick and strong over the first few yards that anyone caught flat-footed has no chance of keeping up; but they can also be his Achilles heel, as the Lukakucomparison can also ring true from a technical perspective.

Kean’s feet are not perfectnot by a long stretch. He has long legs which can be difficult to control, and when he dribbles, he occasionally loses track of the ball. Because of the speed at which he does things, when he drives inside and messes it up, it looks bad. There are times when he just falls over and the ball bounces away from him.

This is, perhaps, the only area for him to improve upon: What to do when he receives the ball in these areas. When he can’t be instinctive, he can struggle.

Thankfully, any turnovers conceded are chased down by the man himselfa thoroughly endearing trait for managers and fans. Kean is as fit as they come and has a determined mindset, resulting in long, wild chases back toward his own goal if he loses possession. Sometimes he gets so carried away that he tracks dribblers all the way back and finds himself at centre-back or left-back, dispossessing and passing back to his goalkeeper to restart the attack.

It is, and he is, a phenomenal sight.

Moise Kean draws Balotelli talk but

Juve starlet keeping feet on ground

http://www.espnfc.co.uk/club/juventus/111/blog/post/2998065/moise-kean-

draws-balotelli-talk-but-juve-starlet-keeping-feet-on-ground

Nov 17, 2016

On the Nov.1 2006, a young man by the name of Claudio Marchisio made his first start for Juventus. The midfielder born in Turin and a lifelong fan of the club hoped he would one day prove his worth to a team he cherished from an early stage. A decade on and the Italian is the very cog that helps balances out an extraordinary team.

Marchisio is the physical embodiment of Lo Stile Juve -- the club's elegant, fair and professional ethos -- and adored by the fans, so much so that they treated him to a standing ovation when he recently returned from injury.

Having a player grow and succeed at the club is evidence of great management and what Juventus have achieved with Marchisio, they hope to repeat with Moise Kean, the 16-year-old sensation.

Another Mino Raiola client tipped for stardom, Kean has already caught the attention of Juve's hierarchy and Massimiliano Allegri, who simply cannot stop praising the youngster. Hailed as the new Mario Balotelli, the physically powerful and ruthlessly efficient striker can be a joy to watch on the pitch but much like his favourite player, he is also challenging to handle off it.

His statistics have proved enough to impress even the harshest critics, scoring 24 goals in 25 matches for the Allievi Under-17 youth team last season. Combining a powerful physique with mesmeric technique, the teenager impresses with his ability to dribble past opponents with speed while his control of the ball coupled with his cold demeanour make him lethal in front of goal. Make no mistake, Kean is a rare talent and a different player to Balo.

There is so much to admire about him. His instinctive play allows him to conjure up solutions against organised defences while his reading of the game is notable at his age. Watching him receive the ball out wide before dribbling his way past opponents to unleash a screamer is the reason why Fabio Grosso, head coach of the Primavera side, devoted so much time in developing the youngster.

Versatile in that he can play as a central striker or on the left of an attacking trident, the player seems unfazed by all the attention. Confidence is always admired, especially in the young, as long as it does not evolve into arrogance. Kean has a distinct swagger about him that could cause concern and he has an agent infamous for overhyping the quality of his stars.

It hardly helps that Kean idolises one of football's most famous rebels.

"My favourite player? Absolutely Mario Balotelli," he once said.

r152849_1296x729_16-9.jpg&w=738&site=esp
Moise Kean, 16, is capped by Italy at Under-17 level.

While he has since acknowledged that Balo has done "stupid things," it remains to be seen how the youngster will manage his fame if it comes his way. For the moment, Grosso and Juventus have worked hard to develop the teenager into a great player, but more importantly, a good man who appreciates his good fortune.

Kean is lucky in that coach Allegri is a patient man who introduces players at the ideal time. He is still very raw and while he can overpower and glide past opponents with ease at youth level, he will be required to indulge in cunning play should he succeed in a league that rewards those who look for any advantage. Intelligence is key in a squad that has collected countless trophies due to their ability to out-think their opponents and Allegri will have to tolerate minor errors in Kean's quest for the top.

Unfortunately, unlike Marchisio, Kean is not a lifelong Juventino according to an interview conducted in May 2015.

"Honestly, I'm not a fan in the absolute sense of the word. At my age I think it's important to have fun and honour the colours of the shirt you are wearing," he said.

In fact, according to Il Fatto Quotidiano, he is a Milan fan which means his loyalty is not guaranteed in the same way Marchisio's was.

However, for now at least, Kean is determined to make an impression for Juventus and may finally have the chance to do so when the Bianconeri host Pescara on Saturday. With Argentina's Gonzalo Higuain and Colombia's Juan Cuadrado having completed long journeys across the Atlantic during their international break, Allegri can only really count upon Mario Mandzukic who is perhaps less exhausted than the rest.

With so many injuries and absences and a tough test against Sevilla coming up in the Champions League, Allegri will struggle to get his team to play attractive football any time soon. Kean will bide his time and wait but it could be time to unleash this special talent.

Juve 'to offer Kean deal'

http://www.football-italia.net/94641/juve-offer-kean-deal?

Nov 21, 2016

Juventus have already prepared a professional contract for 16-year-old Moise Kean, reports say.

The forward became the first player to be born in the 21st Century to play in Serie A when he came on as a substitute in the Old Lady’s 3-0 victory over Pescara on Saturday.

Before the game, Juventus director Beppe Marotta had expressed his confidence in retaining Kean, but Corriere dello Sport report that both Arsenal and Manchester City are keen signing the teenage sensation.

With interest surrounding the player gathering pace, the Bianconeri are keen to tie up a reported three-year deal, and will commence negotiations with agent Mino Raiola.

Giovanni Kean: 'Our father left us'

http://www.football-italia.net/94813/giovanni-kean-our-father-left-us

Nov 25, 2016

The brother of Moise Kean has revealed that the pair have endured difficult times, as their father 'left them for another family'.

23-year-old Giovanni Kean plays for FBC Finale 1908 in Serie D, and also told the Press that his younger brother started out as a Milan fan.

After seeing his 16-year-old brother make his debut against Pescara last Saturday, Giovanni was in tears. But has he stopped yet?

"For now, yes, I started after the first goal. Indeed, it was the day before he took to the field," the centre-forward told Gazzetta dello Sport. "Against Pescara it was an incredible feeling: the dream of every child realised by my little brother.

"But they were tears of liberation after all we've been through.

"Moise saw things a child should never see. It was not an easy childhood: Our father left us for another family. For years he was absent, a call every four months, and no affection when we needed it.

"You cannot do this, you can separate, but the children remain and are not just playthings. My mother's a nurse and bent over backwards to ensure we did not miss out on anything.

"Moise has suffered during afternoons spent alone, but football has helped him. Ciccio Grabbi, the former Juve striker and youth Coach is his godfather. He has taken him on holiday with his family to escape a bit.

"There’s no question that our father wishes us well, but it's too easy to want to re-establish a relationship now only because his son is becoming a major player. And maybe it’s because he earns so much money.

"Our mother? She follows Moise everywhere, her interest in his education is so severe. It shows in the way her son has the respect of everyone, from a warehouse worker up to the Coach.

"These teachings, combined with the difficulties of childhood, made him did grow: he is a child, but inside he has a lot more than 16 years."

What is Moise like as a person?

"He’s cheerful, sunny and from an early age he had a fixation, he put music videos on and he began to dance.

"He likes hip hop and rap. When he gets back here in Asti, we go with friends to the streets and he’s away with the music.

"As a child he loved the somersaults of [Obafemi] Martins at Inter. Then our uncle, who is a huge AC Milan, gave him a bit of allegiance to the Rossoneri. But obviously, now there is only Juve."

Brother reveals Kean future

http://www.football-italia.net/94814/brother-reveals-kean-future?

Nov 25, 2016

Moise Kean has 'reached an agreement' with Juventus over a new contract and will sign soon, reveals his brother.

After describing their difficult childhood, Giovanni Kean gave his opinion on the current situation with his 16-year-old brother.

But which players does Moise remind him of?

"He's an interesting mix," the 23-year-old continued in Gazzetta dello Sport. "A bit panther-like, similar to [Thierry] Henry.

"But then he has a grittiness that reminds me of [Carlos] Tevez, it is the fierce desire to be in possession of the ball. If he has a chance, he goes after it everywhere to snatch it. In front of goal, however, he is cold like Mario [Balotelli]. "

"History is full of people who have had talent at age 16, but it’s gone by the 18. That's why Moise knows he has not done anything yet.

"He must work with intensity, seriousness and humility. If he behaves well, I hope that it will help to remove racism and fear. That will convince people to cheer him on, he is 200% Italian.

"Balotelli is his idol, but I assure you that on the pitch they are different: Moise sacrifices, he is generous because Juve taught this to him.

"They did it to make him become a beast and forged in the mind is the fact he is at the right club who will make him explode.

"The Juve fans can rest assured that [agent Mino] Raiola does not want to take him away. Indeed, if he had wanted to, he would have already done so.

"Maybe at the beginning Juve had not realised how strong he was. Then he only asked for a fair deal. It was found, and shortly he will sign the contract."

What will happen when Paulo Dybala and Marko Pjaca return from injury?

"Moise took advantage of their absence, but I do not know if he will remain in the first team, it depends on his commitment.

"But do not look at his age, since childhood he is used to playing with older children. Rather, he needs to raise the bar, to be put under scrutiny with the strongest.

"Maybe he will go back with the youth team, but he's fine with the senior players. He has big laughs with [Stefano] Sturaro and he loves Dybala and Pjaca."

Where would you like to see your brother in five years?

"At Juve: a number nine like [Gonzalo] Higuain. And also happy and proud in an Azzurri shirt."

Juventus striker Kean set to reject Arsenal and Man Utd

The 16-year-old became the first player to be born this century to appear in Serie A and

the Champions League, sparking additional speculation surrounding his future.

http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2016/11/25/29876082/-?

Nov 25, 2016

Moise Kean is ready to reject a move to the Premier League with Manchester United and Arsenal to sign his first professional contract at Juventus.

The Italian starlet has been linked with a number of European clubs since breaking into the Juve first-team but is determined to establish himself with the Italian champions rather than head elsewhere.

Kean recently became the first player born this century to appear in Serie A and the Champions League, coming on as a substitute against Pescara and Sevilla respectively.

And while the 16-year-old's rise to prominence has been well-documented, the stalet's brother has assured fans of the Turin side that he will remain at the club and agent Mino Raiola has the player's interest at heart.

"Moise sacrifices, he is generous because Juve taught this to him," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

Kean starred for Juventus at youth level before making the step up to Massimilano Allegri's first-team and has drawn comparisons to Italy forward Mario Balotelli.

As well as sharing the same agent, Kean has donned a number of eye-catching hairstyles and celebrated a goal by displaying a 'Why always me?' t-shirt.

Raiola, who was behind Paul Pogba's record-breaking move to Manchester United in the summer, has backed his player to make an impact in Serie A despite his inexperience.

“Kean is the name to watch in 2017, and I’m not just saying that because I’m his agent," the superagent said. "He is only 16 years old, but has this determination within him that is just scary. He can become a big star at Juventus.”

Should Kean opt to leave Juventus, the club would be entitled to a compensation fee.

Moise Kean’s brother: ‘He will be at Juve and he

will be a great No. 9 like Gonzalo Higuain’

Starlet’s older brother speaks to the media about the teenage striker’s future at Juventus.

will-be-at-juventus-great-no-9-gazzetta-interview-giovanni-mino-raiola

Nov 26, 2016

The arrival of 16-year-old Moise Kean onto the scene will not have surprised many Juventus fans who have keenly — see what I did there? — followed his progress through the youth ranks. However, after becoming the first player to be born this century to play in both the Serie A and the Champions League this week, many around the world are now sitting up and paying attention to the young forward.

Kean is yet to sign his first professional contract, and while he is at Juventus currently, there are plenty of suitors lining up at his door with paperwork in hand. The player is represented by ‘super-agent’ Mino Raiola who was recently involved in the transfer of Paul Pogba out of Turin.

His older brother recently spoke to the Gazzetta dello Sport about the teenage prodigy, and assured Bianconeri that he would be staying at Juve. Twenty-three-year-old Giovanni Kean plays for FBC Finale 1908 in Italy’s Serie D, and also said that his younger brother started out as a Milan fan.

"He will be at Juve and he will be a great No. 9 like Gonzalo Higuain.

"Juve fans can rest assured -- Raiola does not want to take him away. In fact, if he had wanted to do that he already would have, maybe at the start when Juve didn't realise how good he really is and [Raiola] did.

"He then asked for a fair deal for him, which was found, and very soon he will put his name on a contract."

Giovanni went on to compare Moise to former Juventus players Thierry Henry and Carlos Tevez, though his favorite remains former Inter and AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli.

"He's a panther like Henry and he has the determination that reminds me of Tevez. That comes from his really ferocious desire to have the ball. If somebody else has it, he chases them to get it off them. In front of goal, on the other hand, he's like Mario Balotelli.

"Balotelli is his idol but I can assure you that on the field of play they are different. Moise sacrifices himself and he's very generous because that is the way Juve have taught him to be. They have turned him into a beast, forging his mind -- he's at the right club to burst onto the scene."

For now, they are keeping their expectations in check.

"History is full of talented players at 16 who disappeared when they were 18," he said. "That is why Moise knows he has not done anything yet. He needs to work with his usual intensity, seriousness and humbleness.

"If he behaves well, hopefully he can help fight racism and fear, convincing people to support him as he is 200 percent Italian.

"Moise has taken advantage of the absences [of Paulo Dybala and Marko Pjaca], but I don't know if he will stay in the first team. It will depend on his efforts, but don't judge him by his age. Ever since he was at the oratory, he has been used to playing with people older than him. In fact, he needs this to raise his own bar and be measured with the best around.

"Maybe he will drop back into the youth team, but he gets on well with the big ones. He has fun with Stefano Sturaro and loves Dybala and Pjaca."

His brother was seen in tears during his first appearance against Pescara last weekend, and went on to talk about the difficult childhood he and his brother had endured.

"For now, yes, I started after the first goal. Indeed, it was the day before he took to the field. Against Pescara it was an incredible feeling: the dream of every child realised by my little brother.

"But they were tears of liberation after all we've been through.

"Moise has seen things that a child should never see. It was not an easy childhood. Our father left us and built a new family for himself. He was absent for years, calling maybe once every four months and not showing us any affection when we needed it.

"That's not how you do things. You can get separated, but your children are always your children and not toys. My mother's a nurse and she would jump through hoops to make sure we got everything we needed. Moise would be left alone in the afternoon and he would suffer, but football helped him. Ciccio Grabbi, the former Juve striker and youth Coach is his godfather. He has taken him on holiday with his family to escape a bit.

"There’s no question that our father wishes us well, but it's too easy to want to re-establish a relationship now only because his son is becoming a major player. And maybe it’s because he earns so much money.”

The two brothers remain very close to their mother who has sacrificed a lot for the boys.

On how young Moise would follow Giovanni around -

"He would come with me to the oratory. He was tiny and he'd just kick the ball against a wall, with his left and his right foot. Sometimes I would give in and let him play with us. He was a little devil who always wanted the ball.

"Yes, exactly -- he always wants the ball. He's got a physical need for it which is even stronger now. Two weeks ago, when people already knew who he was, he came home and went to the same oratory and kicked the ball against the wall, left and right foot, like he always used to."

That hunger is just one side of him though, Giovanni says.

Juventus fans will be hoping that Kean becomes a permanent fixture in the Bianconeri side for years to come.

Moise Kean Becomes First Player Born This Millennium to

Appear in the Champion’s League, Makes European History

millennium-appear-champions-league-makes-european-history/

Nov 28, 2016

Juventus player Moise Kean became the first footballer born in this millennium to feature in the Champion’s League after stepping from the bench during the team’s 3-1 win over Sevilla on 22nd November. Manager Max Allegri called up the young striker, who is just sixteen years old, with just six minutes to play and his side locked at 1-1 with the three-time Europa League winning team. With key players Marko Pjaca, Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain out due to injury, the under-17 international joined Mandzukic in the attack as Juventus aimed for victory.

Rocky Start

The arrival of the Ivorian-born youngster on the pitch definitely paid off, with Juve scoring twice just before the match ended thanks to Bonucci and Mandzukic, claiming a crucial three points which put them into the knockout stages. But, the situation ninety minutes prior had been much different, with the team’s night starting off badly as Nico Pareja managed to put Sevilla in front during the early stages of the game. Tempers frayed during the first period, with Franco Vazquez sent off after two yellow cards before Claudio Marchisio levelled from the penalty spot. Whilst having difficulty trying to break through Jorge Sampaoli’s squad, Allegri went for broke by choosing to give Kean his second senior appearance.

Allegri, who has led Juventus to back to back Scudetti, sang the praises of the youngster, saying that he believes Kean’s appearance was the key factor that made the difference on the pitch. Talking to The Mirror, Allegri said that Bonucci’s goal only came after Kean had won a physical battle in the box. He went on to announce that Kean is going to stay with them until Dybala and Pjaca return from their time off. If you’re confident that Kean can lead the team to victory, why not visit Coral betting to back him?

Kean’s Achievements So Far

Born in February 2000, Kean is rated as one of the brightest young footballers across Europe, having shone whilst playing for Juventus’ youth teams. He has regularly been linked to Mario Balotelli, who is not only represented by the same agent, but also made his own debut in Serie A at sixteen years old. So far, the sixteen-year-old has scored twenty-four goals in twenty-five games for the club’s Under 17’s last season. This European debut comes only a short time after he appeared in the 3-0 weekend victory over Pescara, making him also the first player born this Millennium to feature in Serie A.

Kean’s appearance on the pitch makes him now the sixth youngest player to feature in the Champion’s League since the League underwent a rebranding in 1992, almost twenty-five years ago. Leading the way is former Newcastle and Chelsea left-back Celestine Babayaro, who played for Anderlecht back in 1994 when he was just a few months younger than Kean is now.

Future

Whilst Kean may not have been able to break the record as the all-time youngest Champion’s League player, the future looks very bright for this young man who has already played at the highest level of football at such a tender age. Represented by Mino Raiola, the agent of choice for superstars Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba, Kean has already been linked with possible moves to English teams Manchester City and Arsenal. In spite of his appearances for Juventus, the team may be able to lose him to the Premier League as he is yet to sign a deal with the Serie A championship team. A promising young striker, Kean has grown up passionate about the game, playing youth football with Torino before signing with Juve in 2010.

At just 16 years old, the future looks bright for this promising young player.

‘Kean happy at Juventus but…’

http://www.football-italia.net/97774/‘kean-happy-juventus-but…’

Feb 1, 2017

Moise Kean’s brother assures the forward is happy at Juventus but “we’re also evaluating Premier League offers”.

The 16-year-old became the first player born in the 2000s to compete in one of Europe's four major leagues when he made his Bianconeri debut against Pescara earlier this season.

Despite links with Lazio and Crotone on deadline day, Kean stayed in Turin and his brother spoke about the rumours with JuveNews.

“Lazio never tried,” Giovanni Kean said.

“Juventus don’t want to lose the player and they want to focus on him. For Kean’s part, he’d like to play more but he feels the trust of the club and he’s good in Turin.

“Several clubs are following him, for the future we’re evaluating Premier League offers.”

MANCHESTER CITY TRANSFER NEWS:
LATEST RUMOURS ON MOISE KEAN

Ajax are still hoping to land Juventus starlet and reported Manchester City and Arsenal target Moise Kean. Meanwhile, the Citizens are set to lock Jadon Sancho up to a new deal.

According to Calciomercato.com, Kean's agent, Mino Raiola, has been negotiating with Turin with an eye on the player's future, and while the Bianconeri remain optimistic the teenager will stay with the club, Ajax are still lurking.

Il BiancoNero (h/t Calciomercato) previously reported both City and Arsenal are keeping a close eye on negotiations and are hopeful of landing the 17-year-old, who is widely regarded as one of the top talents in his age group.

As shared by Squawka Football, Kean has announced himself to the world in a big way this season:

The teen starlet has been a standout in the Juventus youth setup for years, consistently scoring against opponents two or three years older than him.

He combines raw speed and power with great instincts and finishing ability, drawing comparisons to compatriot Mario Balotelli. Unlike Super Mario, Kean seems to have a good head on his shoulders―despite limited opportunities on the senior level, he hasn't spoken out about his return to the primavera.

Here's a look at some of his highlights:

Ajax's reputation for talent development means the Dutch giants will always present an intriguing destination for players like Kean, and with Raiola, anything is possible. A loan move seems more likely at this point.

Kean has yet to sign a contract with Juventus, leaving the door open for Arsenal and City, but for now, he's still expected to stay in Turin.

Verona: Kean yes, Cassano no

hhttp://www.football-italia.net/103764/verona-kean-yes-cassano-no

Jun 7, 2017

Verona will not be reuniting Giampaolo Pazzini and Antonio Cassano but confirm they would be interested in Juventus rookie Moise Kean.

Cassano claimed last month that he was “crazy” about joining Serie A returnees Verona, where he would partner former Sampdoria teammate Giampaolo Pazzini, but sporting director Filippo Fusco seemingly put pay to the idea.

“Cassano? Honestly, no,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“He’s a champion, he can still add value in Serie A and it’s an interesting possibility, but everyone goes through the aging process.

“His words are pleasing, but there’s no point building a team of football stickers.

“We’ll consider him, but I wasn’t convinced about him in January.”

On the other hand, Fusco noted of Kean: “Juve have so many champions and important youngsters.

“Kean’s an important player, both for Italian football and Juve. Should Juve consider loaning him out for experience, Verona could be an idea.

“For us, he’s a young and strong Italian player, so maybe.”

Kean agrees pro Juve deal

http://www.football-italia.net/105710/kean-agrees-pro-juve-deal

Jul 13, 2017

Moise Kean has reportedly agreed his first professional contract with Juventus, who are also said to have met for Paris Saint-Germain’s Blaise Matuidi.

According to Sky Sport Italia, talks between Juve executives and Kean’s agent Mino Raiola, along with his brother Enzo, proved successful, although the deal cannot be signed until the attacker turns 18 in February.

The 17-year-old made history as the first player born in the year 2000 to score in Europe’s top five Leagues last season.

Sky adds Matuidi – another of Raiola’s clients and a widely-reported Bianconeri target – was also discussed during the summit.

PSV to move for Moise Kean on loan

https://www.blackwhitereadallover.com/2017/8/9/16119640/

report-psv-moise-kean-juventus-loan-2017-serie-a-transfers

Aug 9, 2017

Moise Kean has been a hot topic for Juventus fans all over. There has been much speculation over his current ability, potential ability, and what Juventus’ plans for him in the upcoming year should be. Funny thing is, we’ve certainly talked about him for longer than the 23 minutes he’s played in competitive matches for Juventus so far.

But that’s what happens when you have a young gem on your hands. If they’re not handled properly then development goes south, or they leave for better treatment elsewhere (see: Coman, Kingsley). One option would be for the youngster to deputize the attackers, as he can probably slot into two or three of the attacking positions that will likely be rolled out this year. Another option would be to loan him to a team that doesn’t have the expectation to win every competition they compete in, and could find more of a prominent use for a 17-year old winger.

If Juventus go with the second option, the option to loan Moise Kean to PSV would be there, according to reports from Gianluca DiMarzio. The move is apparently dependent on whether Juventus land Keita Balde (or another winger) or not. One more addition to the attack would surely leave very limited minutes for Kean.

PSV are no slouch either. They finished in 3rd place in the Dutch league last year, and are consistently among the top 2 or 3 performers in the league. Kean would still benefit from a club with a winning mentality, making an easier mental transition from a mid-low table team from another league.

I think that if Kean is able to get significant minutes from a team like PSV then for a 17-year old you really can’t ask for much better for his development. With the upgraded depth at the winger position this year, it’s a move Juventus can afford to make.

Kean to join Verona on loan

http://www.football-italia.net/109156/kean-join-verona-loan

Aug 31, 2017

Juventus youngster Moise Kean appears to be on the verge of joining Verona, who want Lazio’s Filip Djordjevic too.

Kean is 17 and last season became the first player born this millennium to score in one of Europe’s top five leagues.

According to both SportItalia and Tuttomercatoweb, the youngster is on the verge of completing a loan move to the Butei, who were promoted from Serie B last season.

In addition, it’s thought the Gialloblu want to sign Lazio’s Filip Djordjevic, though that deal isn’t thought to be as close as Kean’s.

Juventus striker Moise Kean joins Hellas Verona on loan

https://www.blackwhitereadallover.com/2017/8/31/16234680/official-

juventus-moise-kean-hellas-verna-2017-serie-a-summer-transfers

Aug 31, 2017

Moise Kean’s quick rise up through the Juventus youth academy and into the first team was something not many of us were talking about this time last summer. We knew of him, but we probably didn’t think he would be setting records based on his youth in the Champions League or scoring game-winning goals in the Serie A finale like he did last season.

Those things put him in position to be a contributor, in some kind of capacity, come the 2017-18 campaign.

It just won’t be happening in Turin.

Both Juventus and Hellas Verona announced late Thursday night on Twitter that the 17-year-old Kean has been sent out on a season-long loan deal. Kean, who was with Juve’s first team all throughout the preseason tour of the United States, was an unused sub in the reigning champions’ first two Serie A matches of the season.

There are two things to keep an eye on because of this last-minute transfer:

  1. Just how much playing time will Kean actually get considering Hellas Verona are likely to be fighting off relegation yet again this season.
  2.
  3. With Mario Mandzukic clearly still being used on the left wing, who the heck is going to be Gonzalo Higuain’s backup this season?

At the tender age of 17, there’s no doubting that Kean needs to play and continue what seems like his high-speed development. And there’s no doubting that the amount of attacking options that’s currently in Turin is something we haven’t seen in a good amount of time.

But at the same time, with Kean being in the first team all throughout preseason and obviously showing he’s capable of making an impact last season, what’s the harm in keeping him around this season?

We don’t know what the motivations or intentions of Super Agent Mino are when it comes to Kean because he’s so damn young. But, as we experienced last season, he’s the shiny new toy that we want to see get his chance. The only thing is, with Thursday’s news, Kean will be doing such in a Hellas Verona jersey for the next 10 or so months.

I guess we’ll find out just how soon Kean will make his debut with Hellas seeing as they’re Juventus’ first opponent coming out of the international break next weekend.

U19: Kean and Scamacca removed

http://www.football-italia.net/109352/u19-kean-scamacca-removed

Sep 3, 2017

Verona striker Moise Kean and Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca have been thrown out of the Italy U-19 squad for “disciplinary reasons.”

The exact nature of the incidents are still unclear, but the FIGC released a statement this evening.

“The players Gianluca Scamacca of Sassuolo and Moise Bioty Kean of Hellas Verona, in the training camp with the Under-19 side at Salsomaggiore, have been removed from the squad for disciplinary reasons by Azzurri Coach Paolo Nicolato.

“Gabriele Gori, Fiorentina forward, has been called up and will join the Nazionale for the friendly against Russia in Reggio-Emilia on September 5.”

Kean is owned by Juventus and was the first player born in the year 2000 to score a Serie A goal, but was loaned out to Verona on deadline day.

Scamacca came up through the Roma youth academy and is now owned by Sassuolo.

Kean open to January move

https://www.football-italia.net/130763/kean-open-january-move

Nov 17, 2018

Moise Kean was on target for the Italy Under-21 side against England, but admits he doesn’t know if he’ll leave Juventus in January.

The 18-year-old found the net for a temporarily equaliser in this evening’s 2-1 friendly defeat in Ferrara.

“It was a good performance, although if we had won then it would’ve been even better,” Kean told Tuttomercatoweb.

He has been given only one 12-minute substitute appearance for Juve so far this season and many expect a January loan move.

“I don’t know yet, as I am training and then the club will decide. I am learning so much by training alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, it’s a great experience.”

Mancini: 'Kean destined for greatness'

085522594-aeacfd67-e129-4f8d-8b88-3e9b0d

https://www.football-italia.net/136121/mancini-kean-destined-greatness

Mar 23, 2019

Italy Coach Roberto Mancini believes Moise Kean is “destined for greatness” in his young Azzurri squad facing Finland in tonight’s Euro 2020 qualifier.

It kicks off in Udine at 19.45 GMT - 20.45 CET, in the same group as Armenia, Bosnia and Liechtenstein.

With Federico Chiesa, Lorenzo Insigne and Alessandro Florenzi out injured, Juventus teenager Kean is expected to get his first start.

“I think Kean is destined for greatness. He is a player with a lot of quality, is improving all the time and I believe can become a very important player,” Mancini told Rai Sport.

Born in February 2000, he’ll also become the first player from the new Millennium to start in an Italy jersey.

“Kean has always done well and has immense potential, but let’s also not forget he is still only 19 years old, so we can’t expect too much of him. There are going to be errors, but I maintain we are on the right path.

“I generally focused on slightly younger players so they can build the future of this Nazionale. Obviously, we also need more experienced figures who know how to guide the youngsters, because enthusiasm and desire are great, but experience does count in these situations.

“The likes of Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci, Jorginho and Marco Verratti can really help these lads to mature.”

Mattia Perin has also pulled out with an injury in the last training session, while Bryan Cristante of Roma, Torino defender Armando Izzo and Udinese striker Kevin Lasagna are sent to the stands.

Probable line-ups

Italy (4-3-3): G Donnarumma; Piccini, Bonucci, Chiellini, Biraghi; Verratti, Jorginho, Barella; Bernardeschi, Immobile, Kean

Finland (4-4-2): Hradecky; Granlund, Toivio, Arajuuri, Pirinen; Lod, Schuller, Sparv, Soiri; Pukki, Lappalainen

Ref: Grinfeld (ISR)

Kean: 'I have records to break'

223433703-6f42339c-3bf9-49e7-93f1-343619

https://www.football-italia.net/136140/kean-i-have-records-break

Mar 23, 2019

Moise Kean scored on his full Italy debut and the teenager believes it’s just the beginning. “There are many more records for me to beat.”

The 19-year-old Juventus striker became the second-youngest player to score in an Azzurri jersey and did it on his first start in this 2-0 victory over Finland.

“I always try to be ready and train regularly so that I’m prepared when the time comes,” he told Rai Sport.

“More than being happy, I find it extra motivation to keep working hard. There are many more records for me to beat and I intend to beat them.

“When I got the call, I was fired up, excited, happy, eager to show what I could do. Ciro (Immobile) gave me a great assist and it’s thanks to him and the whole team that I was able to score.”

Kean usually plays as a centre-forward rather than on the wing, but was on the left in the first half and the right in the second.

“Wherever the Coach puts me, I am happy to play. It was a good movement and I saw the gap, so I just went for it. The first goal was a huge sensation and a great moment for me.

“Obviously, training alongside my teammates at Juventus, including Cristiano Ronaldo, it’s impossible not to learn every day.”

Kean's father: 'Juve owe me tractors'

https://www.football-italia.net/136246/keans-father-juve-owe-me-tractors

Mar 26, 2019

Italy striker Moise Kean’s father claims Juventus “still owe me two tractors and now won’t give me tickets” to Serie A games.

The 19-year-old sensation came up through the Juve youth academy and just scored his first senior Italy goal.

“I thank God, as it is a great joy for the whole family,” Biorou Jean Kean told Rai Radio 1 show Un Giorno Da Pecora.

“I won’t be at the stadium for tonight’s game with Liechtenstein, but I’ll watch it in the bar with my friends and cheer him on.

“Moise supported Inter as a kid, because he loved Obafemi Martinez and kept pestering me for his shirt. He played for Torino, but I sent him to Juve, because I am a Bianconeri fan.

“I am very happy for him, even if I have a problem with the club Juventus. They won’t give me any more tickets to the stadium. I am separated with Moise’s mother and she, in the past, wanted to move the lad to England.

“I promised Juve that I’d keep him in Italy, but wanted two tractors in return. They said it wouldn’t be a problem, but I haven’t received them yet, now they won’t give me tickets or even take my calls.”

Kean’s parents separated when he and brother Giovanni were very young, so they were essentially raised by their mother.

She has been named as the primary figure in the family, so it’s not clear how much contact Biorou Jean Kean really has with his now famous son.

“Mario Balotelli is his favourite player now, even though I told him not to copy Balotelli in everything… I don’t have Italian citizenship yet, although I’ve been here for many years. I really like Matteo Salvini and the Lega, so I am trying to help block new immigration to Italy.”
