Juventus keep up De Sciglio interest

http://www.football-italia.net/98949/juventus-keep-de-sciglio-interest

Feb 27, 2017

Juventus remain in pole position to capture the signing of full-back Mattia De Sciglio, reports say.

The Italian international has just returned from an ankle injury after being out since the end of January, but his future remains unclear due to the forthcoming change of ownership at the club.

Since the departure of Patrice Evra, the Bianconeri are short of cover at left-back, and would value a versatile player like De Sciglio who can play on either side.

According to Calciomercato.com, Juve face competition from Napoli and Barcelona, as teams look to capitalise on the 24-year-old’s contract situation.

With his current deal expiring in 2018, the Rossoneri need to decide whether to offer a renewal or cash in on the player before he becomes available on a free transfer.

Juventus tempt De Sciglio?

http://www.football-italia.net/99725/juventus-tempt-de-sciglio

Mar 15, 2017

Juventus are reportedly trying to line up Mattia De Sciglio for next season, as his Milan contract is due to expire in June 2018.

According to Il Messaggero, the Bianconeri are closer than ever to getting the versatile Italy international full-back, who has long been linked to the Bianconeri.

It was Max Allegri who first gave De Sciglio his big break at Milan, spotting him coming through the youth academy.

Now 24, he is yet to agree a new contract with the Rossoneri and it expires at the end of next season.

Juve are known to be rejuvenating their defence after securing Mattia Caldara of Atalanta for 2018 and with Daniele Rugani already in the squad.

Il Messaggero claims De Sciglio is refusing to sign a new deal at San Siro because of the interest from Juventus.

There are various factors in play, including the takeover of Milan by Chinese investors and the potential departure of Juventus Coach Allegri.

Juve and Atleti track De Sciglio

http://www.football-italia.net/100005/juve-and-atleti-track-de-sciglio

Mar 21, 2017

Mattia De Sciglio has still not worked out a new contract with Milan, as Juventus and Atletico Madrid show interest.

The full-back is only tied to San Siro until June 2018 and the uncertainty over the club takeover by Sino-Europe Sports has further complicated matters.

Max Allegri launched De Sciglio’s career at Milan when he was there and would relish the chance to work with him again at Juve.

Even if the Coach moves on, the Bianconeri are still impressed enough by his versatility to make an offer.

Atletico Madrid and Diego Simeone are also tracking De Sciglio’s progress.

Still only 24, he can play on the right or left of a four-man defence or as a wing-back.

He has 30 senior caps for Italy and came up through the Milan youth academy.

Juve ask Milan for De Sciglio

http://www.football-italia.net/100381/juve-ask-milan-de-sciglio

Mar 29, 2017

Juventus have reportedly made a formal offer for Milan full-back and Italy international Mattia De Sciglio, who is out of contract in 2018.

The Bianconeri’s interest in the versatile figure is nothing new, particularly as Max Allegri effectively launched his career at San Siro.

According to Calciomercato.com, the situation has taken a step forward with Juve contacting Milan for a proposal.

His current contract with the Rossoneri is due to expire in June 2018 and he does not seem particularly inclined to sign a new deal.

All contract issues are currently up in the air, as Milan are in the middle of a takeover that might be completed on April 14.

In order to avoid losing him as a free agent next year, a summer sale is entirely possible, especially with more important players to lock down like Gianluigi Donnarumma and Suso.

A deal could well be struck for around €15m for the 24-year-old, who can play on the right or left of defence or midfield.

De Sciglio heading to Juve?

http://www.football-italia.net/101532/de-sciglio-heading-juve

Apr 23, 2017

Mattia De Sciglio told Milan he will not sign a new contract and intends to join Max Allegri at Juventus, claims La Repubblica.

The rumours of this switch have been circulating for several months, as De Sciglio’s contract is due to expire in June 2018.

According to today’s edition of La Repubblica newspaper, backed by Sky Sport Italia, the versatile full-back has now informed Milan of his decision.

The destination is expected to be Juventus, where he would reunite with Allegri, the Coach who gave him his Serie A debut in April 2012.

Still only 24, he can play on the right or left in a four-man defence or as a wide midfielder in a variety of tactical systems.

This season De Sciglio has two assists in 24 competitive games for Milan.

Apr 24, 2017

Mattia De Sciglio this morning confirmed his intention to leave Milan at the end of the season, according to reports.

The full-back was linked with a move to Juventus over the weekend, and was insulted and harassed by supporters after the home defeat to Empoli.

De Sciglio’s contract expires in the summer of 2018, and Sky reports that he met with Rossoneri sporting director Massimo Mirabelli at Milanello this morning.

The Italian international is said to have confirmed his desire to leave the club, meaning he’s likely to be sold this summer.

Mattia De Sciglio wants Juventus move

http://www.juvefc.com/mattia-de-sciglio-wants-juventus-move/

Apr 25, 2017

Milan full-back Mattia De Sciglio has reportedly turned down a new contract in favour of a move to Juventus this summer.

The 24-year-old was handed his debut and flourished under the guidance of Max Allegri who reportedly told the defender to join him at Juventus during Juve’s Supercoppa final last season against AC Milan.

La Repubblica, Tuttosport, Sky Sport Italia and others now report that De Sciglio has rejected a new offer as his existing deal is due to expire in 2018, leaving Milan with the option of selling him this summer or risk losing him for free next year.

According to the reports in Italy, De Sciglio has informed Milan of his intention to leave the club, having spoken with Milan sporting director Massimo Mirabelli at the Milanello training ground at the weekend.

TRANSFER RUMOUR: REAL MADRID, LIVERPOOL AND JUVENTUS
SET FOR THREE-WAY BATTLE FOR MATTIA DE SCIGLIO

http://www.thehardtackle.com/news/2017/04/30/transfer-rumour-real-madrid

-liverpool-and-juventus-set-for-three-way-battle-for-mattia-de-sciglio/

Apr 30, 2017

Real Madrid, Liverpool and Juventus are reportedly set for a three-way battle to sign Mattia De Sciglio from AC Milan in the summer.

Spanish publication Don Balon have reported that Real Madrid have set their sights on Mattia De Sciglio in the summer transfer window. But, Los Blancos will have Liverpool and Juventus for company, with TransferMarketWeb suggesting that the two clubs are interested in the AC Milan defender as well.

De Sciglio has bounced back to regain his status as one of the most integral members in the AC Milan squad following the arrival of Vincenzo Montella at San Siro after two frustrating campaigns. Having turned in some very impressive performances in Euro 2016, the 24-year-old has now gone from strength to strength this season.

Having established himself as a mainstay in defence for the Rossoneri, De Sciglio has played 25 matches in all competitions for his club, providing a solid presence at the back while also chipping in with a couple of assists.

But while the Italy international has enjoyed a consistent season with Milan, it is looking likely that he will leave the club at the end of the season. That is because talks on a renewal have not progressed at all as the player is keen on a summer exit from San Siro.

With a little over a year remaining on his deal with Milan, the Italian giants are expected to cash in on him as well, and the latest set of reports suggest that there will be no dearth of interest in him when the transfer window opens in June.

Real Madrid are one of the biggest suitors for De Sciglio with Zinedine Zidane is keen to recruit a full-back in the summer. Fabio Coentrao and Danilo are expected to leave the club at the end of the season according to the Don Balor report and the Real Madrid boss needs a solution on both sides of defence.

This is where De Sciglio comes in, with the versatile defender equally adept at playing as a right-back as well as a left-back. Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez is a fan of the defender as well and is reportedly ready to sanction a move for him in the summer.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have registered an interest in De Sciglio as well with Jurgen Klopp keen to strengthen his side’s defence in the summer. Depth and defensive solidity have both been big issues at the back, and De Sciglio’s recruitment can solve both in the full-back department.

His acquisition will especially bolster the left side of defence. With Liverpool’s burden next season set to be increased, Klopp will need two quality options at left-back. And with Alberto Moreno set to be offloaded in the summer, De Sciglio can be just the solution that the Liverpool boss is looking for.

Juventus are the third club in the race to sign De Sciglio, who could solve some problems on the right side of the defence for the Bianconeri. Dani Alves and Stephan Lichtsteiner are both on the wrong side of 30 and are in the twilight years of their respective careers.

Massimiliano Allegri, who handed De Sciglio his debut in 2011, is believed to be a huge admirer of his talents and is eyeing a reunion with his former protege. In fact, he tried signing the full-back last summer as well before a move failed to materialise.

De Sciglio is all of 24, and still has his best years ahead of him. So, it goes without saying that he can provide a long-term solution in defence to all three of the interested parties.

Milan’s preference is for the player to join the club outside Italy and it remains to be seen if that hands Real Madrid and Liverpool any advantage in this three-way battle.

De Sciglio linked with Juve, Napoli

http://www.football-italia.net/102424/de-sciglio-linked-juve-napoli

May 11, 2017

Mattia De Sciglio could leave Milan for one of Juventus or Napoli this summer, reports Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The 24-year-old has spent his entire career at San Siro thus far but reportedly told the club he will not sign a new contract.

His current deal is due to expire in 2018, putting the Rossoneri's Serie A rivals on red alert.

Following the reports of his refusal to commit to Milan long-term, De Sciglio was the subject of abuse from fans during and after the recent 2-1 home defeat to Empoli.

As such, the Italian daily claim the defender's position at the club is becoming untenable, with both the Old Lady and Partenopei ready to swoop in wth offers should the situation not resolve itself.

De Sciglio agrees Juve move?

http://www.football-italia.net/102962/de-sciglio-agrees-juve-move

May 22, 2017

Milan wingback Mattia De Sciglio has reportedly agreed terms with Juventus, who must now negotiate a transfer fee.

According to Premium Sport, Juve “have already finalised” their agreement with De Sciglio and are ready to sit down with Milan over his signing.

However, the broadcaster did not reveal whether talks were on the horizon or how much the Rossoneri were holding out for.

De Sciglio made only 27 appearances for Milan last season, with an ankle injury disrupting his first two months of 2017 and a thigh problem ruling him out of Sunday’s final game against Bologna.

http://www.juvefc.com/mattia-de-sciglio-juves-first-summer-signing/

May 23, 2017

Juventus have targeted Milan full-back Mattia De Sciglio and he could become on the Bianconeri’s first signings this summer.

Premium Sport report that Juve ‘have already finalised’ an agreement with De Sciglio and are now preparing to meet with Milan to discuss a transfer fee.

Today’s Corriere della Sera also report that 24-year-old De Sciglio is a strong candidate for Juve this summer and he is expected to be one of the first summer signings alongside Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick.

De Sciglio made his Milan debut under Max Allegri and the Juve coach is a known admirer of the youngster who is wanted at Juve to take over in the long term from Dani Alves and Stephan Lichtsteiner.

De Sciglio requests Milan exit

http://www.football-italia.net/103033/de-sciglio-requests-milan-exit

May 23, 2017

Mattia De Sciglio and his agents met with Milan directors today and reportedly asked to be sold, with Juventus the most likely destination.

The full-back grew up in their youth academy, but his rapport with the fans has become increasingly strained and his car was even attacked by ultras in the car park of San Siro.

Still only 24, De Sciglio’s current contract is due to expire in June 2018.

The Italy international was spotted arriving at Casa Milan this afternoon with his representatives in tow and the meeting lasted approximately an hour.

According to Sky Sport Italia, De Sciglio asked the club to let him go this summer, as he will not be signing a new contract.

It was Max Allegri who really launched De Sciglio’s career at Milan and the Coach wants a reunion at Juventus.

His versatility makes him very important, able to play on the right or left of defence or midfield.

De Sciglio had just 27 competitive games for Milan this season, as he has struggled with muscular problems.

Milan already have his replacement lined up in the shape of Wolfsburg full-back Ricardo Rodriguez.

Juve push for De Sciglio?

http://www.football-italia.net/103879/juve-push-de-sciglio

Jun 9, 2017

Juventus are reportedly planning to push through a deal for Milan wingback Mattia De Sciglio over the next few days.

According to Tuttosport, Max Allegri’s contract extension to remain in charge of Juve until 2020 “has pushed De Sciglio even further” to the Bianconeri.

The newspaper explains the Coach has identified his former Milan protégé as “the right man to strengthen” the Old Lady’s wide positions.

Consequently, a meeting between Juve’s board and the 24-year-old’s agent is expected to take place next week.

Allegri: 'Yes Costa, no De Sciglio'

http://www.football-italia.net/104134/allegri-yes-costa-no-de-sciglio

Jun 14, 2017

Max Allegri denied Juventus are interested in Mattia De Sciglio, but “Douglas Costa is an objective” and Federico Bernardeschi has potential.

The Bianconeri boss spoke to Sky Sport Italia and you can read the rest of his interview here and here.

“I think this year the challenge will be to improve the quality of the football and consequently have more control of the game, of big teams and important matches,” said Allegri.

Douglas Costa’s agent met with Juve director Beppe Marotta last night, though Bayern Munich are believed to want €50m.

“He is one of our objectives and he is very talented.”

Allegri was also asked about Bernardeschi.

“He is a young player of great potential for the Nazionale. De Sciglio? No, we are sorted in defence.”

Is it true that Allegri personally requested Steven N’Zonzi from Sevilla?

“I don’t make requests. I speak to the club and there are players who might be on the market who we seek out if they can improve the squad. But these are absolutely not requests, because not all players can come to Juventus.

“Patrik Schick isn’t a Juventus player yet, so we shouldn’t talk about him, but he is a player who doesn’t do normal things.”

Finally, Allegri was asked if he had a message for new Inter Coach Luciano Spalletti and Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco.

“I wish them both the best of luck. I think they’ve got a great chance of doing well, although naturally I hope they finish behind Juventus.”

Juventus meet for De Sciglio next week

http://www.football-italia.net/104999/juventus-meet-de-sciglio-next-week

Jun 30, 2017

Juventus could meet Milan next week to discuss Mattia De Sciglio, according to reports.

The Bianconeri have been linked with the full-back for several months, but their interest appeared to have cooled.

However, the departure of Dani Alves has left the Italian champions short at right-back, and they’re trying to find a replacement.

Contacts are underway for Danilo of Real Madrid, but the Spanish side are asking for €30m so the Old Lady needs alternatives.

According to Premium Sport, one of those alternatives is De Sciglio, and there could be a meeting with the Rossoneri next week.

The Italian international is out of contract next summer, so would be available for a much lower fee than Danilo or Matteo Darmian.

Jul 2, 2017

Mattia De Sciglio’s agent noted “it depends on Juventus or other teams, but we have a very clear situation with Milan.”

The 24-year-old full-back came up through the Rossoneri youth academy, but his contract is due to expire next summer and it’s widely reported he won’t sign a renewal.

“At this moment it depends on Juventus or other teams who can get close to the player,” representative Giovanni Branchini told TMW Radio.

“We have a very clear situation with Milan and the rapport is absolutely fine. We’ll see how the transfer window develops.”

De Sciglio has also been linked with Napoli.

De Sciglio jets in for Juve

http://www.football-italia.net/105973/de-sciglio-jets-juve

Jul 18, 2017

Milan’s Mattia De Sciglio has landed back in Italy to complete a transfer to Juventus but insists he has yet to hear from Max Allegri.

De Sciglio touched down at Milan-Malpensa airport on Tuesday evening, having left the Rossoneri’s preseason tour of China to formalise his impending switch to Juve.

“I’m fine, I had a long journey so I’m a bit tired,” he told Calciomercato.com.

“Happy to reunite with Allegri? It’s not the right time to answer that.

“More sorry or relieved? There’ll be time to talk, but now I have to go. Have I heard from Allegri? No, no.”

The Bianconeri are understood to have agreed a €12m fee with Milan for the wingback, whose contract expires next summer.

OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL: Juventus sign AC Milan

fullback Mattia De Sciglio for €12 million

https://www.blackwhitereadallover.com/2017/7/20/15995440/official-

juventus-sign-mattia-de-sciglio-2017-serie-a-summer-transfers

Jul 20, 2017

For the last six years, Juventus’ right back position has been manned primarily by a Swiss madman in Stephan Lichtsteiner who loves to scream at just about anybody possible and a Brazilian playmaker in Dani Alves who didn’t exactly leave on the best of terms. That’s it. That’s the list, folks. It’s been easy to pretty much pencil in Juve’s starter at right back because there’s never been much to think over. It’s been easy.

It’s time for us to add another name to the list.

One of the youngsters that Max Allegri helped launch during his tenure as AC Milan’s manager, Mattia De Sciglio, has traded in calling the San Siro his home stadium for the black and white stripes of six-time defending Serie A champions Juventus. The move to Turin has become official, with Juventus announcing that they have signed the 23-year-old De Sciglio from Milan for a fee of €12 million plus performances-related bonuses.

More details, courtesy of Juvenuts’ official website:

Turin, 20 July 2017 - Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that the agreement with AC Milan S.p.A. for the definitive acquisition of the registration rights of the player Mattia De Sciglio has been finalized for a consideration of € 12 million payable in 3 financial years.

The purchase value may increase of maximum € 0.5 million on achieving given conditions in the course of the duration of the contract.

Juventus and the player have signed a 5-year contract of employment until 30 June 2022.

De Sciglio burst onto the scene with Milan when Max Allegri was still managing at the San Siro — a period of time in which the young fullback enjoyed some of his best football. Many think that the two reuniting in Turin will mean that De Sciglio has the chance to get back to resembling the player he was when he first started playing for Milan’s senior squad, not the struggling player and overall team of the last few seasons.

But with the price, it’s a low-risk move with quite a high reward if De Sciglio resembles that player that we saw a lot of during his first couple of seasons with Milan (or even the one that was one of Antonio Conte’s best players at Euro 2016 last summer).

I think we all know which version of De Sciglio we want to be showing up at right back this season — and a good portion of the time, too.

Welcome, Mattia. And feel free to play like you did the last time Max Allegri was your manager. That would be just fine.

De Sciglio: ‘Juventus a top club’

http://www.football-italia.net/106068/de-sciglio-‘juventus-top-club’

Jul 20, 2017

Mattia De Sciglio is “very excited to be joining a top club” after officially completing his move to Juventus.

The full-back signed from Milan earlier today for a fee of €12m, with another potential €500,000 in bonuses.

“I’m very excited to be joining a top club both in Italy and in Europe,” De Sciglio said in a video posted on the Bianconeri’s official website.

“It’s an honour to be here and I’ll give everything to repay the club’s trust in me.

“My first aim is to bed into this group and win the respect of my teammates, that’s really important. From then on I’ll give my all to repay the club, showing that I belong here, and I’ll look to earn the respect of the fans.”

Juventus full-back Mattia De Sciglio confirms “it was important to reunite” with Coach Massimiliano Allegri.

The Italian international joined the Bianconeri from Milan this summer, where he will once again play under the tactician who gave him his debut.

“It’s important for me to have reunited with Allegri,” De Sciglio confirmed, speaking to JTV.

“He showed great confidence in me at Milan, despite the fact I was very young he allowed me to work calmly.

“Why Juve? Because this is a top team in Italy and in Europe, a team where I’ll have to give my all in training in order to win a place.”

The Bianconeri face Chievo in Turin on Saturday, and the defender warns it won’t be an easy game.

“Saturday’s match won’t be simple, Chievo are very organised. It’ll take the right mentality to bring home the three points, and only after that will we think about Barcelona.”

Mattia De Sciglio marks the sixth anniversary of the Juventus Stadium’s opening by noting it “creates a sense of awe.”

The former Milan defender has experienced both sides of playing at the purpose-built arena in Turin, which was renamed over the summer.

“The Allianz Stadium has always created a certain sense of awe, as an opponent, as the fans are so close to the pitch and you can feel them right there,” De Sciglio told JTV.

“This is also why from the very beginning it has always been one of the great strengths of Juve.”
