Juventus tracking Emre Can

http://www.football-italia.net/99361/juventus-tracking-emre-can

Mar 8, 2017

Juventus are keeping an eye on a contract dispute between Liverpool and Emre Can, reports in England suggest.

The 23-year-old central midfielder is said to want a vastly improved offer, but the Reds are dragging their heels.

According to the Daily Mirror, Coach Jurgen Klopp is not convinced that the German has fully realised his potential, and therefore an offer reflect this.

The situation is said to have alerted Bundesliga sides, with Liverpool proposing a more incentive-based deal.

With a current deal expiring in summer 2018, they run the risk of losing the player on a free transfer should talks continue to stall.

Juventus are named as one of the clubs monitoring these developments, with the Bianconeri in the market for a midfielder this summer.

The Italian press also reported that the club had sent scouts to watch the German international back in January.

Why Juventus target Emre Can must convince
Liverpool to show him the money

The midfielder has much to prove until the end of the season as he’s
locked in a contract dispute with the Reds and is a transfer option for Juve.

http://www.goal.com/en/news/8/main/2017/03/12/33551882/-

Mar 12, 2017

Lazar Markovic had cost £10 million more, while Divock Origi recorded a goal and an assist at the World Cup in Brazil. However, the talent Liverpool were most enthused about securing in the summer of 2014 was Emre Can.

At the start of June of that year, the club revealed that a deal had been agreed in principle with Bayer Leverkusen for the young midfielder.

Three days into the following month, the signing was made official and the space between both announcements was stocked with talk of what a coup it was.

Bayern Munich were aggrieved to lose their buy-back option on Can, which could have been triggered in 2015, and there was an overwhelming belief at Melwood that the German would develop into one of the most commanding figures in his position.

Players and coaching staff buzzed off the new introduction, who had already featured in the Champions League, and was described as “one of the biggest talents” in his country by Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

Emre Can Liverpool Stasts

Closing in on 1000 days since Can joined Liverpool, that early excitement has been replaced by exasperation as the 23-year-old stalls on agreeing a new contract. Juventus, meanwhile, are following the impasse with interest as they seek alternate options to their top target in the centre of the park, Lyon’s Corentin Tolisso.

Can’s camp believe he has the right to be among the top earners at Anfield, while the Reds want him to prove as much through consistent, assertive performances.

Currently understood to be on £55,000 a week and set to enter the final year of his deal this summer, the club’s Young Player of 2015-16 wants to be in the same wage bracket as captain Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana.

It is the former’s role as Liverpool’s metronome that Can most covets, but he is not as effective as the No.6 in their fluid approach. Neither has he managed to make as much impact as Lallana, who was recruited in the same window, and is now central to Jurgen Klopp’s blueprint.

Alongside the England pair, Gini Wijnaldum completes Liverpool’s preferred midfield three. Can’s strengths largely contrast with the trio’s and while that has been a source of irritation at times this season, it can also be an effective weapon, as seen in the 3-1 victory against Arsenal.

He is never going to be able to dictate the tempo of his side’s play or direct their attacks as well as Henderson. He won’t be able to operate in tight spaces as impeccably as Lallana and he can’t be as efficient in possession as Wijnaldum. But, conversely, none of them are as strong as Can in aerial duels, nor as as explosive carrying the ball through the middle.

Under Klopp’s ‘simple and fast’ rule, Liverpool look more rhythmic when he is not part of the midfield three. But faced with the threat of Olivier Giroud at Anfield last weekend, against the physicality of Chelsea at the end of January, and as the Reds looked to disrupt Kevin de Bruyne’s supply to Sergio Aguero for Manchester City on New Year’s Eve, Can’s qualities were valuable.

What the Germany international needs to master, though, is how to regularly merge and sharpen his skills to complement the club’s system. Given that he has functioned as a traditional right-back, on the same side of a three-man defence, as a centre-half in a flat back-four and across the midfield, Can has the aptitude to do it.

"Whatever role he's asked to play, he has this inbuilt brain for football that allows him to adjust and adapt,” Brendan Rodgers previously said of his signing.

Klopp, too, believes Can is far better than the sum of this season’s evidence. “Maybe if he didn’t know what I think, it would affect him, but he knows what I want,” the Reds boss commented on the contract stand-off last month.

It is not the 49-year-old’s job to push for what the player wants to earn, though; that needs to come from Can’s showings on the pitch.

Philippe Coutinho is Liverpool’s highest earner on the back of being the Player of the Season twice in succession, having a stellar start to the campaign prior to suffering ankle ligament damage and being heavily courted by both Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

Lallana nearly doubled his package by illustrating his influence both on and off the pitch since Klopp's arrival as boss. The Merseysiders are actively looking to fortify their midfield and enhance competition for places, with Goal revealing RB Leipzig dynamo Naby Keita is on their radar.

Can’s battle is not just against improved terms then, but still being in contention for one of those spots next season. He has 11 games to not only make a powerful case to the club, but provide Juventus with evidence that he shouldn’t merely be one of their back-up options.

It would be a shame if Can had to exit Liverpool in anticlimactic circumstances, given the celebratory way in which his signing was greeted.

Juve miss out on Emre Can?

http://www.football-italia.net/105840/juve-miss-out-emre-can

Jul 15, 2017

There are reports Juventus will miss out on one of their transfer targets, as Emre Can is close to agreeing a new Liverpool contract.

The 23-year-old German international is admired by Coach Max Allegri and his ability to play in central defence as well makes him a valuable addition to any squad, especially after Leonardo Bonucci’s move to Milan.

However, according to reports emerging from Liverpool this evening, Emre Can is on the verge of penning an extension at Anfield.

His current contract is due to expire in June 2018, which would’ve significantly lowered the asking price.

Juve’s other midfield targets include Blaise Matuidi of Paris Saint-Germain and Sevilla’s Steven N’Zonzi.

Juventus return for Emre Can

http://www.juvefc.com/juventus-return-emre-can/

Aug 8, 2017

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can is still top of Juve’s list of midfield targets and the Bianconeri will make another bid to sign the player.

While having added to the attack and defence, the midfield is the only area Juve are still lacking in and the supposed list of targets has been extensive.

Gazzetta dello Sport report that Liverpool midfielder Emre Can is number one on the Bianconeri’s list and as long as the player doesn’t sign a renewal, anything is possible.

Juve are reportedly prepared to offer €20m for the German international but are also keeping Blaise Matuidi as a potential backup should a move for Can fail to go through.

Corriere dello Sport report much along the same lines: The most feasible option for Juventus is Matuidi however Can remains the favourite option, however Liverpool are said to be unwavering in their desire to keep the midfielder at Anfield.

Juventus €25m for Emre Can

http://www.football-italia.net/107405/juventus-€25m-emre-can

Aug 8, 2017

Reports are growing rapidly in Italy that Juventus have chosen Emre Can for their midfield and are closing on Liverpool’s €30m (£27.1m) asking price.

It’s no secret that Max Allegri has requested a prestigious reinforcement for the middle of the park after losing the Champions League Final to Real Madrid.

La Gazzetta dello Sport already suggested on Tuesday that Juve were leaning away from Blaise Matuidi of Paris Saint-Germain and Sevilla’s Steven N’Zonzi towards Can.

Wednesday’s front page story for the Corriere dello Sport claims the Turin giants have been in “frenetic negotiations” with Liverpool for the German international.

The Corriere insists Juve have offered €25m (£22.6m), which is close to the €30m asking price.

Can is only 23 years old, but his contract with Liverpool is due to expire in June 2018.

Emre Can Juve’s top priority

http://www.juvefc.com/emre-can-juves-top-priority/

Aug 10, 2017

Emre Can is top of the list for the Juventus midfield this summer and reports suggest they will continue their pursuit of the player who is yet to sign a contract renewal at Liverpool.

The Bianconeri are leaving it late to sign a few more vital players for the squad, most notably a central midfielder, despite having being linked with Steven N’Zonzi and Blaise Matuidi for almost two months.

Despite having a shortlist, Gazzetta dello Sport, report that Emre Can is still top of Juve’s priorities given Fabio Paratici’s fondness for the player who he reportedly scouted on a number of occasions.

Gazzetta claim Can is yet to sign a new contracts with Liverpool and his existing contract is due to expire next summer.

Juventus are offering €25m however Liverpool value the player at closer to €30m, meaning Matuidi, N’Zonzi and Kevin Strootman remain on the shortlist as alternatives for now.

Liverpool reject Juve's Can bid

http://www.football-italia.net/108103/liverpool-reject-juves-can-bid

Aug 13, 2017

Liverpool have refused a €25m offer from Juventus for Emre Can, according to the Mirror on Sunday newspaper.

The midfielder is thought to be at the top of Coach Max Allegri’s list of reinforcements.

As his contract is due to expire at the end of this season, the Bianconeri hoped they could tempt him away for €25m (£23m).

However, according to the Mirror, Liverpool turned down the latest proposal.

Negotiations over a new contract at Anfield have stalled for the German international.

Emre Can for free next season?

http://www.juvefc.com/emre-can-free-next-season/

Aug 26, 2017

Juventus could sign Emre Can for free next year along with a number of other players they were linked to this summer.

The Bianconeri were pursuing the Turkish international midfielder throughout the summer, making a series of bids to Liverpool, according to various Italian newspapers. The odds on landing their man were always slim, but you can get great odds from CasinoDiscussion for the best online Casinos.

Despite not landing their man, Gazzetta dello Sport report that the Bianconeri will return for Can next summer and have a gentleman’s agreement of sorts to sign the player for free in 2018, given that he’s yet to renew his deal with the Red’s. There are suggestions that he hasn’t agreed a new contract as he intends to leave Merseyside for free next year.

Emre Can isn’t the only player Juve are working for next year as negotiations for Balde Keita seem to have hit a dead-end for now, given that Lazio have turned down previous offers from the Bianconeri. Lazio are reluctant to allow the player to leave for a lower price than the €30m they have quoted, despite him only having one year left on his existing deal and has refused a contract extension.

Inter are reportedly pursuing the player with a view to signing him this summer and may yet land the player for a figure close to €20m. If the player doesn’t move, various reports in Italy have suggested that he will leave the capital for free as he has his heart set on a move to Turin and has actively pursued a move to Juventus since the start of the summer.

Juve may return to raid Lazio’s ranks once again next year as Stefan De Vrij was closely linked to Juve all summer long and was reportedly very keen on switching clubs. He’s another player with a contract expiring in 2018 and according to transfer journalist Niccolo Ceccarini who spoke with Radio VS last week, De Vrij will likely refuse any new deal in favour of coming to Turin for free next summer.

Juve will probably return for Patrik Schick next summer, should he turn down offers from Roma and Inter this summer. The player was reportedly swayed by Juve vice-president Pavel Nedved who played a big part in convincing the player to join Juventus this summer. The Bianconeri could return for him in the winter provided they agree terms with Sampdoria, or possibly next summer.

Juventus confirm plans to move again

for Liverpool's Emre Can in January

news/juve-to-move-for-emre-can-in-january_305876.html

Aug 29, 2017

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta has confirmed that the club will try to sign Liverpool midfielder Emre Can in January.

The Italian giants have been linked to the German international for some time, but so far, the Reds have refused to sell.

Can is yet to sign a new contract at Anfield, but early indications suggest that he will play a big role for manager Jurgen Klopp this season.

The 23-year-old scored twice against Hoffenheim in the qualifying round of the Champions League and was influential in Liverpool's 4-0 rout over Arsenal on Sunday.

Marotta has insisted that Juventus have not given up hope of signing the midfielder.

"Liverpool are holding on tight to Emre Can. His contract expires in June, [so] we'll be able to negotiate with him from January," Marotta told Premium Sport. "We won't hide the fact we like him, but currently he is a Liverpool player, so we can only admire him from afar."

Last season, Can made 32 Premier League appearances, scoring five goals and creating two assists.

Juve make final Can push

Aug 31, 2017

Juventus are reportedly making one, final push of €25m for Liverpool midfielder Emre Can.

According to La Stampa, Juve are looking to sign a midfielder after losing Claudio Marchisio and Claudio Marchisio to injury.

The newspaper explains the Bianconeri “have Can in hand for next season”, given his contract expires in just a year’s time.

However, they would have offered €25m for the Germany international on transfer-deadline day.

Can to Juve in January?

http://www.football-italia.net/109222/can-juve-january

Sep 1, 2017

Juventus will reportedly go again in January for Emre Can, who has “no intention” of signing a new contract with Liverpool.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Juve could sign Can for just €10m due to the midfielder’s contract having just a year left to run.

It comes after the Bianconeri had a €25m bid for the German rejected by Liverpool on deadline day.

However, the newspaper warns the deal can only happen if the Old Lady qualify for the knockout stage of the Champions League.

Can wants release clause

http://www.football-italia.net/109464/report-can-wants-release-clause

Sep 6, 2017

Juventus target Emre Can is reportedly demanding a release clause in any new contract with Liverpool.

According to the Mirror, talks between Can and Liverpool over an extension “have hit an impasse” as a result.

The newspaper explains his stance stems from how the Reds were able to reject several large bids from Barcelona for Philippe Coutinho.

The Germany midfielder is entering the final season of the four-year deal he signed with Liverpool when he joined from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014.

As it stands, he will be free to speak to clubs outside the Premier League from January 1.

Reports in Italy claim Can has a five-year contract waiting for him at Juve, either in January or next summer.

Liverpool: No to Can demands?

http://www.football-italia.net/109472/liverpool-no-can-demands

Sep 6, 2017

Contract talks between Liverpool and Juventus target Emre Can have reportedly stalled over his demands for a release clause.

According to the Daily Star, Liverpool are not prepared to include a clause in any new deal for Can.

However, the midfielder’s insistence on its inclusion has led to “a stalemate” in negotiations, which have been “going on for months.”

The German has just a year left on his Reds contract and will be freely able to discuss a pre-contract with Juve from January 1 as things stand.

JUVENTUS RULE OUT JANUARY BID FOR LIVERPOOL'S CAN

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can: Juventus offer was an 'honour'

http://www.espnfc.co.uk/story/3224387/liverpool-midfielder-emre-can-juventus-offer-was-an-honour

Oct 9, 2017

Emre Can has told kicker that it was an "honour" to receive an offer from Juventus in the summer but insists he is solely focused on Liverpool this season.

Juventus chief executive Beppe Marotta is reported to have said that the Italian champions had an offer for Can, 23, rejected by Liverpool in the recent transfer window.

The midfielder's Liverpool contract expires in the summer, with manager Jurgen Klopp admitting in August that the lack of a new deal for the Germany international was "not perfect."

Can said: "It's always an honour to receive an offer from such a renowned club, but currently I am only focused on the season with Liverpool. My agent takes care of the rest.

"The Premier League is just a really cool league, the most interesting in the world, but you must always respect other big clubs and leagues."

Emre Can has drawn up Juventus contract

http://www.juvefc.com/emre-can-drawn-juventus-contract/

Oct 11, 2017

Reports in England suggest that Emre Can has already agreed terms with Juventus and the Bianconeri have already drawn up a contract for the Liverpool midfielder.

Juventus were linked with Can for much of the summer has he was identified as a primary target for the club by the Italian media. Juve director Beppe Marotta later confirmed the clubs interest in the German international when he called Can “an excellent player” and declared that the Bianconeri would “stay on the sidelines and watch” as the situation developed.

The 23-year-old was courted as a possible long term replace for Sami Khedira who only has a year left on his contract as the Bianconeri make the Champions League their priority for the season, having come so close to wining the trophy earlier this year. However, According to Unibet, the winner of the 2017/18 Champions League is most likely Real Madrid, with Juventus currently holding position number 8.

Reports from England today suggest that despite failing to secure Can in the summer, Juve’s interest in the player hasn’t waned and the club are set to make another offer for Can in January transfer window. The Daily Express suggest that the Bianconeri have already prepared a contract for the Liverpool midfielder to sign during the winter break with an eye to a permanent move in June 2018.

Can has had a superb start to the season, despite Liverpool’s poor form, providing 2 assists in 5 league games and becoming a key figure in the manager Jurgen Klopp’s 3-man midfield alongside Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum.

The midfielder added to the speculation over a possible move to Turin when he called it ‘an honour’ to be linked with a move to Juventus while on international duty with the German national side. He went on to say the Premier League was a “really cool league, the most interesting in the world” but other big leagues and clubs must always be respected.

Klopp: ‘If Juventus want Can…’

http://www.football-italia.net/112296/klopp-‘if-juventus-want-can…’

Nov 3, 2017

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp discusses the prospect of Juventus target Emre Can leaving on a free - “If it happens like that we can’t change it”.

The German international is out of contract at the end of the season, and is known to be a target for the Bianconeri.

From January 1 he’ll be free to negotiate with the Italian champions, and the Liverpool boss was asked about that prospect in his Press conference today.

“If it happens like that we can’t change it,” Klopp shrugged.

“If there’s a player out there with a contract ending next summer and he’s good, which Emre obviously is, we’d try to do the same.

“So that’s an opportunity for all of us. What could I do now? I could say ‘it’s a big problem, we have to sort this now!’, put pressure on the player, put pressure on the club, make people angry…

“That makes absolutely no sense, we have to respect his contract is ending and it’s like this.

“If a contract ends there are two sides who could have done differently, one side is the club and one side is the player. That’s how it is, we can’t change it.

“There’s nothing new, no news. That’s how it is, I’ve said it a few times, there’s no problem repeating it, so I’ll say it again.

“It’s our job to make this club as exciting as possible. He can also sign a contract in May, even as a player who’s already here.

“I’ve said it a lot of times, as long as Emre doesn’t give me one sign that his mind is somewhere else, I don’t have to talk about this.

“So for myself everything is ok, but there’s nothing new.”

Khedira persuading Can to Juve?

http://www.football-italia.net/112659/khedira-persuading-can-juve

Nov 11, 2017

It is reported that Sami Khedira is hoping to persuade Liverpool’s Emre Can to join him at Juventus.

The duo are currently away together on international duty as Germany begin their preparations for next summer’s World Cup in Russia.

According to Tuttosport, the Old Lady are hoping their current midfielder, who has been at the club since 2015, will persude his 23-year-old international teammate that his future lies in Turin.

Can is currently in the last year of his contract at Anfield and looks increasingly unlikely to sign a new deal.

Juve have been heavily linked with securing his signature for some time, although reports in recent days stated they would not be making an offer to sign him in January.

Man City fight Juve for Emre Can

http://www.football-italia.net/112699/man-city-fight-juve-emre-can

Nov 12, 2017

Juventus could miss out on Emre Can, as reports suggest the Liverpool midfielder is set to join Manchester City as a free agent.

The 23-year-old Germany international’s current contract is due to expire at the end of the season and he seems to have no intention of penning an extension.

Juve have never hidden their desire to bring him in for free over the summer and could even attempt a January approach.

However, the Star on Sunday reports today that Emre Can is instead leaning towards Manchester City once his contract expires.

The Bianconeri have not given up and hope the presence of fellow German Sami Khedira can help sway Emre Can in the direction of Turin.

This season, he has contributed three goals and two assists in 15 competitive games for Liverpool.

Juventus agree Emre Can terms?

http://www.football-italia.net/113307/juventus-agree-emre-can-terms

Nov 25, 2017

Juventus have already agreed personal terms with Emre Can for when he becomes a free agent at Liverpool, claim Tuttosport.

The Serie A giants have made no secret of their interest in the German international midfielder.

According to the latest reports coming out of Turin, he has given the all-clear to join Juve either when his contract expires at the end of the season, or if the two clubs can agree a deal in January.

Emre Can has also been linked with other clubs, but the pursuit from Juve goes back a long way and they hope fellow German Sami Khedira can convince him to choose Serie A.

He turns 24 in January and joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen for €12m in 2014.

This season he has made 17 competitive appearances for the Reds, scoring three goals with two assists.

Inter could move for Can too

http://www.football-italia.net/113903/inter-could-move-can-too

Dec 7, 2017

It’s reported Inter could look to hijack Juventus’ move for Liverpool midfielder Emre Can this summer.

The German international is known to be a target for the Bianconeri, and they had an agreement with the player last summer, but the Reds wouldn’t sell.

Given that Can is out of contract at the end of the season, and can negotiate with teams outside England from next month, it’s widely expected he’ll move to Turin on a free at the end of the season.

However, Tuttosport is reporting that Inter are also interested, as they see the midfielder as an ideal fit for a 4-3-3 formation.

While Juve are still in pole position, Can could be tempted by the Nerazzurri if they make it back into the Champions League this season.

Juve alert Liverpool over Emre Can

Dec 27, 2017

Juventus already have the email ready to send Liverpool confirming they’ll start negotiations with Emre Can.

The midfielder will be a free agent at the end of the season, meaning he can begin talks with other clubs in February.

According to Tuttosport, the missive has been written up and is all ready to be sent.

It has been rumoured for months that Emre Can has basically agreed terms with Juve for a free transfer next summer.

The Germany international turns 24 in January and this season contributed four goals and three assists in 23 competitive games.

Juventus want Can in January?

Juventus reportedly want to bring Liverpool’s Emre Can to Turin in January, and could offer €5m-6m.

The German midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season, and is free to talk to other clubs in January.

It’s not thought he’ll sign a new deal at Anfield, and the Bianconeri have been open in their admiration of his talents.

This morning’s Corriere dello Sport notes interest from Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, but believes Juve are in pole position for Can’s signature.

The Turin club could even look to sign him in January, having been rebuffed in the summer when Reds manager Jurgen Klopp insisted the midfielder couldn’t leave.

Now though the German is resigned to losing his countryman, with the Old Lady ready to make a decisive move in January.

It’s more likely that Can will arrive on a free transfer next summer, but if he agrees the move in January Juve could offer €5m-6m to bring him to Serie A early.

Goretzka sends Emre Can to Juve?

Emre Can could come to Juventus in January for €5m, as Liverpool have already found his replacement in Schalke’s Leon Goretzka.

The Bianconeri have never hidden their interest in the Germany international, who would reunite with Sami Khedira and Benedikt Howedes in Turin.

According to Tuttosport and Bild, the key to making this move go through early rather than as a free agent at the end of the season comes from Schalke 04.

Liverpool would only let Emre Can go in January if they had a ready-made replacement and they seem to have found him in the form of Goretzka.

Like Can, Goretzka will be a free agent in June 2018 and Schalke prefer to get some money out of his departure.

Arsenal, Tottenham, Inter and Juventus were all linked with Goretzka, but Liverpool are reportedly the favourites.
