According to Friday’s reports, Enzo Maresca’s Club World Cup-winning side attempted to pinch Yildiz away from the Bianconeri, however, Juventus have outright rejected the approach and remain keen on handing the fan favourite a new and improved contract. Chelsea had reportedly been willing to offer a fee in the region of €65m-€68m to lure the 20-year-old away from the Allianz Stadium. Juventus remain clear in their stance that Yildiz is not for sale. ............ Yildiz was handed a new deal at the beginning of the 2024-25 campaign, which saw his wages rise from around €300,000 per season to a figure close to the €1m-per-season mark. ............ Now, after a successful season on an individual level, Yildiz is set for another pay rise, as recent reports claim Juve are willing to nudge his salary up to somewhere in the region of €3.5m per season, in line with the other key first-team players in the Bianconeri squad. . While that contract extension has yet to be signed, here is an example as to why. Juventus have rebuffed Chelsea’s latest attempt to sign every young attacking talent in the world after the Club World Cup champs offered up a whole lot of money to try and bring Yildiz to London. They say that it was “at least €65-€68 million” — which, considering Yildiz was signed for very little as a teenager from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022, would be a massive profit for the biggest asset Juventus currently has on its roster. ............ If the rumors of another contract extension come to be true — and there’s no reason to think they won’t be considering how important Yildiz has become to Juve’s success over the last year and a half — then it will, in theory, mean they’re even more committed to Yildiz than they already are. Yildiz was earning around €300,000 when he signed his first contract extension upon his promotion to the senior team in 2023. That salary was bumped up to seven figures and around €1 million when he signed his new deal ahead of last season and his debut as Juventus’ new No. 10. This new contract extension that Juve are reportedly wanting to get done before the 2025-26 campaign kicks off next month would potentially see him get a salary as high as €4 million net. ............ .
