According to Friday’s reports, Enzo Maresca’s Club World Cup-winning side attempted to pinch Yildiz away from the Bianconeri, however, Juventus have outright rejected the approach and remain keen on handing the fan favourite a new and improved contract. Chelsea had reportedly been willing to offer a fee in the region of €65m-€68m to lure the 20-year-old away from the Allianz Stadium. Juventus remain clear in their stance that Yildiz is not for sale. ............ Yildiz was handed a new deal at the beginning of the 2024-25 campaign, which saw his wages rise from around €300,000 per season to a figure close to the €1m-per-season mark. ............ Now, after a successful season on an individual level, Yildiz is set for another pay rise, as recent reports claim Juve are willing to nudge his salary up to somewhere in the region of €3.5m per season, in line with the other key first-team players in the Bianconeri squad. . Socrates 9030 Joined: 04-Apr-2006 137105 messaggi Inviato July 26 Juventus reject Chelsea’s bid to try and lure Kenan Yildiz to England When rumors first started a few weeks ago that Juventus were preparing yet another contract extension (and raise) for Kenan Yildiz, one of the biggest reasons was to try and prevent the young No. 10 from being tempted by the riches of the Premier League. While that contract extension has yet to be signed, here is an example as to why. Juventus have rebuffed Chelsea’s latest attempt to sign every young attacking talent in the world after the Club World Cup champs offered up a whole lot of money to try and bring Yildiz to London. They say that it was “at least €65-€68 million” — which, considering Yildiz was signed for very little as a teenager from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022, would be a massive profit for the biggest asset Juventus currently has on its roster. ............ If the rumors of another contract extension come to be true — and there’s no reason to think they won’t be considering how important Yildiz has become to Juve’s success over the last year and a half — then it will, in theory, mean they’re even more committed to Yildiz than they already are. Yildiz was earning around €300,000 when he signed his first contract extension upon his promotion to the senior team in 2023. That salary was bumped up to seven figures and around €1 million when he signed his new deal ahead of last season and his debut as Juventus’ new No. 10. This new contract extension that Juve are reportedly wanting to get done before the 2025-26 campaign kicks off next month would potentially see him get a salary as high as €4 million net. ............ . Despite now representing Turkiye at the international level and earning recognition for his talent, his early life pointed towards a very different sporting path. Born in Germany, Yildiz was an athletic child from an early age, showing clear physical ability and natural coordination. A future in sport seemed inevitable, yet football was not his initial passion. ............ In his early years, the attacker was more inclined towards kickboxing, a sport in which he had already begun training. His interest in football was minimal, and the idea of pursuing it professionally seemed unlikely at the time. However, that changed when he was approached by Detlef Staude, who is credited with first encouraging Yildiz to give football a try. ............ “I asked him if he wanted to train with us. He replied that he was already signed up for kickboxing and no, he didn’t want to play soccer. I saw him again in the same place a few weeks later and tried to convince him again. In the end, however, he was the one who came to me and said he’d changed his mind and would like to try soccer.” ............ Yildiz’s decision to pursue football instead of kickboxing proved to be pivotal. What followed was a rapid rise through the youth ranks and eventual recognition as a top talent on the European stage. With his athletic background, he adapted quickly and brought a level of physicality and technical ability that set him apart from his peers. ............ . A few months ago, rumours in the Italian media claimed that Chelsea decided to launch an onslaught for the Turkish international. In the latest video posted on his Italian YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano confirmed the West Londoners’ interest in the 20-year-old. ............ The transfer market insider revealed that Chelsea had enquired about Yildiz in June, but Juventus swiftly dashed their hopes by making it abundantly clear that they do not intend to discuss the young man’s future with any other club. On the contrary, the Bianconeri are keen to secure the player’s services with a new long-term deal that will certainly include a pay rise. ............ Yildiz had at times struggled to make an impact while playing on the wings in Thiago Motta’s system, but the Croatian manager has been fielding him as one of the two attacking midfielders, while giving him a license to roam all over the field. The player’s current deal is valid until June 2029, but Juventus are expected to push back the deadline by at least another year. . The young attacker has quickly established himself as one of the key figures at the Allianz Stadium, with the club regarding him as a leading player in their squad. His growing influence on matches is reflected in Juventus’ determination to retain him, as they have actively resisted interest in his signature during the current transfer window, aiming to ensure he remains happy and settled. The arrival of Igor Tudor as manager has been particularly beneficial for Yildiz, unlocking his potential and allowing him to operate in a free role on the pitch. ............ Lele Adani has expressed admiration for Yildiz’s development and strong start to the season. Adani remarked, “He’s a potential champion, it’s up to him. He’s provided two assists for two excellent players, assists that come from a potential champion, he plays all over the pitch all the time. Having the number 10, having that speed and that strength, playing like him, you get cramps after half an hour.” ............ Yildiz began to show his true potential towards the end of last season, coinciding with the arrival of Igor Tudor as Juventus manager. His ability to influence matches, both creatively and with direct contributions, has positioned him as an increasingly vital member of the squad. The Turkish attacker has started the current campaign strongly, registering two assists in the opening fixture, a sign that his influence is growing. Juventus supporters and coaching staff alike view him as a cornerstone for the present and future of the club. ............ Football pundit Daniele Adani expressed strong admiration for the youngster’s qualities, emphasising his capacity to become a consistent goalscoring force. He stated: “Not everyone is Yamal and Mastantuono, the shirt has weight. I saw him as a No. 1 all the time. Not just in terms of his plays, but also in terms of intensity and consistency that aren’t typical of a No. 1. I think he’s a different player from the others; he can score 12 goals. A year ago, I said that for me, with Yildiz in that area of the pitch and for that type of role, Juve didn’t need anything else. If you’re a No. 10 for Juve, Inter, or Milan, you have to score double figures in goals and assists.” ............ .
