Tudor admits the weather in the USA is a concern but won’t complain

Watch Koopmeiners and Tudor Reflect on 'Better' Manchester City Online | DAZN NL

Juventus are currently playing and training under some of the most challenging weather conditions the team has encountered in recent years during their participation in the Club World Cup in the United States. Despite the intense heat, the Bianconeri remain focused on their mission to secure the title and conclude the summer of 2025 on a high note. ............

The conditions in the United States have been far from ideal, with sweltering temperatures affecting both training and match play. Nevertheless, Juventus have shown strong intent, adapting well and securing positive results in their first two group stage fixtures. These performances are a testament to the team’s focus and determination, even if the climate has presented a notable obstacle.

While the weather has posed difficulties, Juventus are not alone in facing such challenges. All participating teams have had to contend with the same environment, and Tudor has made it clear that this is no reason to lose focus or lower expectations. He commented:

“Playing at these temperatures is not the best, but it is an issue that concerns all the participating teams, so it has to be accepted.” ............

Though the heat has tested the players’ physical limits, the team have continued to push forward, with Tudor ensuring that they maintain a professional mindset. The Croatian manager is keen to see his players rise above the discomfort and continue performing at the highest level. ............

Igor Tudor must be fully involved in the signing of players at Juventus

venezia-v-juventus-serie-a-10.jpg

Igor Tudor is determined to bring silverware to Juventus by next summer, especially after missing out on the Club World Cup trophy. His side began the tournament with promise, prompting fans to dream of a possible title. However, those hopes were ultimately dashed as the club fell short of lifting the trophy.

Juventus now turn their attention to the transfer market, aiming to assemble a squad capable of competing for major honours. ............

Tudor’s style of play differs significantly from that of previous Juventus managers. This tactical contrast makes it essential for the club to adapt its recruitment strategy accordingly. The way he sets up his team directly influences the type of players who should be brought in.

Given these tactical nuances, Juventus must ensure Tudor plays an active role in identifying and approving transfer targets. Without his input, the club risks signing players who may be talented but are ultimately unsuited to his system. ............

The transfer market does offer a number of high-profile names who may bring commercial benefits and global attention. However, Juventus would be wiser to prioritise players who can immediately influence the team’s performance, helping to deliver tangible success on the pitch.

The only way to ensure immediate and lasting success is by identifying player profiles that align with Tudor’s tactical demands. This means collaborating closely with him during the recruitment process and trusting his judgement about which individuals will strengthen the team. ............

“It won’t be enough” – Capello warns Tudor ahead his second Juventus season

Adesso non si scherza più!": Capello carica la Juve per la sfida col Real Madrid, poi analizza i problemi dei bianconeri - Calcio | Tribuna.com

Legendary Italian manager Fabio Capello insists that Igor Tudor will have to deliver better results in his first full campaign at Juventus. ............

However, Capello warns Tudor that finishing in the Champions League zone won’t be enough this time around, as the management and the fanbase will expect to see the club making a step in the right direction.

“Juve have resolved their defence issues by confirming Gatti and Bremer,” noted the former Juventus, Real Madrid and England manager.

“Let’s look at Tudor. He took them to the Champions League last season, but this won’t be enough this term.” ............

“The challenge will be Koopmeiners. We expected him to be the scoring midfielder like Scott McTominay last season. And yet, he disappeared.

“Sancho’s role depends on Tudor’s vision, how he wants to play, whether he should move out wide. He’s the coach.” ............

“I hope Kolo Muani comes back, I really like him. Otherwise, they should keep Vlahovic, even if his time at Juventus seems to be over.”

Why Igor Tudor is annoyed with Juventus transfer strategy

Igor Tudor looking on

Juventus manager Igor Tudor is reportedly unsatisfied with one particular aspect of the club’s transfer campaign. ............

The former Bianconeri defender is now preparing for his first full season as Juventus boss, while Damien Comolli and Co. are working on providing him with a squad suitable for his 3-4-2-1 system.

But Tudor hasn’t been entirely pleased with the management’s work thus far, particularly in the excessive time they’re taking to finalise transfers. ............

The former Marseille and Lazio manager was hoping to have the bulk of the squad ready for pre-season.

However, the club’s preparations will begin on Thursday, and Juventus have only managed to sign Jonathan David thus far, albeit Francisco Conceicao’s permanent transfer should be announced in the coming hours. ............

However, the hierarchy has been struggling to offload the likes of Dusan Vlahovic and Douglas Luiz, which has derailed their plans. ............

Tudor wants to keep returning veteran despite Roma & Atalanta interest

Filip Kostic looking on

Juventus manager Igor Tudor would be happy to host Filip Kostic next season after being convinced by his displays. ............

The Serbian then made a swift return to Juventus, and was immediately reinstated in the squad ahead of the FIFA World Cup campaign. While he wasn’t always a starter, Kostic did enough to win Tudor’s favour.

The Croatian manager has now asked the management to maintain the 32-year-old’s services for next season. ............

Kostic can act as a backup for Andrea Cambiaso on the left flank in Tudor’s 3-4-2-1 formation, although this might be a temporary solution until Juan Cabal regains his optimal physical condition.

The source also reveals that Roma and Atalanta have also enquired about the player’s availability. The two clubs will play similar formations to Tudor’s, with Gian Piero Gasperini taking over the Italian capital side, and his old disciple, Ivan Juric, replacing him at Atalanta. ............

Juventus are currently in Germany to continue their pre-season preparations and head coach Igor Tudor has reportedly tested two different systems ahead of an upcoming friendly against Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.

The Bianconeri have two more pre-season friendlies on their fixture list ahead of their Serie A opener against Parma on August 24, firstly against Bundesliga giants Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park on Sunday, and then against Atalanta in Bergamo the following weekend. ............

Tudor has tested two different formations during the early sessions of the team’s training camp in Germany. ............

First is the 3-4-2-1 that Tudor typically employed during his first few months in charge at the back end of the 2024-25 season, and second was a slightly different set-up, in a 4-2-3-1, similar to how Thiago Motta used to line up before his dismissal last season.

Both systems have seen summer signing Jonathan David start as the sole centre-forward. The 4-2-3-1 saw Kenan Yildiz star in his preferred role as the ‘no.10’, with room for the likes of Francisco Conceicao and Teun Koopmeiners to play in supporting trequartista roles either side of him. ............

Juventus coach Igor Tudor has taken the entire squad out to dinner in a team-building exercise, including outcasts Douglas Luiz, Arthur Melo and Dusan Vlahovic.

The Bianconeri are currently in a pre-season training camp in Germany, where they are set to play Borussia Dortmund on Sunday afternoon. ............

They travelled to Nuremberg to an Asian fusion restaurant, which was an important team-building exercise to create greater unity within the group. ............

The report noted the presence of all the players, including those whose future at Juventus seems improbable.

That means Douglas Luiz, Arthur Melo, Dusan Vlahovic, Nico Gonzalez and Tiago Djalò. ............

Tudor tips Juventus duo to bounce back: “It will be their season”

Tudor sveglia la Juve: "Qua non si parte per arrivare terzi. Mercato, così è inaccettabile!"

Juventus head coach Igor Tudor is expecting two of his players to shine in the new season following a miserable 2024/25. ............

Tudor discussed several matters, while identifying Gleison Bremer and Teun Koopmeiners as two players who will prove their worth this season. ............

“It’ll be their season. They’re two strong players, I’m very happy with how they’re performing,” said the 46-year-old in his pre-match press conference.

“Each had his own problems. Bremer is recovering from this long-term injury and will start tomorrow; we’ll see how much playing time he gets. Koop is doing well, he’ll have an important role this season.” ............

“Joao Mario and Jonathan David are integrating well. They’re both working well. They are professionals, and they’ll both start tomorrow.”

“I talk to everyone. Dusan is doing as well as the others; he’s very professional, so I have nothing else to say.”

The underrated change Tudor has made at Juventus since arriving

Single-minded Tudor has tough task to make Juventus ruthless

Igor Tudor took charge of Juventus in March, stepping in as a temporary replacement for Thiago Motta, who had been appointed in the summer. Since his arrival, Tudor has focused on restoring the team’s form and ensuring they remain competitive at the highest level. ............

Perhaps the most significant transformation Tudor has overseen is the renewed sense of unity within the squad. Where Motta’s tenure reportedly created divisions from the previous summer, Tudor adopted a more inclusive approach, fostering a stronger team spirit. This shift has been evident in the players’ performances and cohesion during matches. ............

The renewed camaraderie has been a decisive factor in Juventus’ late-season recovery. Tudor’s leadership style appears to prioritise collective harmony, ensuring that all players feel valued and involved. This change has helped rebuild confidence within the squad and re-establish a positive environment at the club’s training ground in Turin. ............

If Tudor can preserve the balance he has restored, Juventus will be well placed to challenge for major honours and strengthen their status both domestically and internationally.

Alessandro Matri insists Tudor is not a coach to give a temporary job

Reports: Igor Tudor heading toward 'increasingly likely confirmation' at Juventus | Black & White & Read All Over

Former Juventus striker Alessandro Matri has shared his views on Igor Tudor’s tenure as Juventus manager, emphasising that the Croatian should be entrusted with the role on a permanent basis. Matri highlighted the manager’s seriousness and his understanding of the demands required at the club. ............

Since assuming the role, Tudor has impressed with the way he has handled the team. His work during pre-season allowed him to begin shaping the side, and supporters now expect to see an improvement in performance levels. Within a relatively short period, he has instilled the belief that he could be the right figure to guide Juventus forward.

Matri praised the current manager, saying, “I see Tudor as a serious coach, certainly not a passing one. The pride of coaching Juventus pushes him to give more. But he knows football; you don’t need to know the Juventus world to make an impact. He’s doing well because he’s shown he can handle complex situations. His biggest task now is to develop the team they’ve given him, but at least this time he’s had time to work. Juventus, in this sense, already has a clear identity, a defined physiognomy.” ............

Matri’s remarks reflect a belief that Tudor’s role should not be considered temporary. The Croatian has demonstrated composure, tactical awareness, and the ability to deal with challenging circumstances. His work has already given Juventus a clearer structure and sense of identity. ............

The recent form of centre-forwards Jonathan David and Dusan Vlahovic has left some wondering whether it is conceivable that the Juventus pair end up playing together in the same team. Here is how it could happen, but why it is unlikely to see a new strike partnership in the next Juve match. ............

David has since added another goal to his personal tally with the opener in Canada’s recent 3-0 win over Romania.

Vlahovic, meanwhile, has scored off the bench in both of Juve’s first two Serie A matches of the season, and has also carried his goalscoring form into the international break, providing the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win for Serbia away against Latvia on Saturday.  ............

In short, Tudor has two in-form centre-forwards to choose from when Juventus go up against Inter in the Derby d’Italia immediately after the international break.

There have been some suggestions that Tudor could be tempted into tweaking his 3-4-2-1 system in order to get both David and Vlahovic on the pitch at the same time.

There are two ways this could happen: Firstly, by dropping one of the two strikers, likely David, into a slightly deeper role, replacing either Francisco Conceicao or Kenan Yildiz, who have started the season in the trequartista roles for the Old Lady.

Or, Tudor could slightly tweak his system to a 3-4-1-2, likely with Yildiz as the sole creator, and Vlahovic and David playing in more of a traditional front two. ............
