Pressure continues to mount around Igor Tudor, with Tuttosport delivering a scathing editorial ahead of Juventus’ next decisive test.

According to the newspaper’s editor Guido Vaciago, the coach “spoke like a sacked manager” in his latest press conference – even if the club hierarchy is not currently considering a dismissal. ............

The editorial underlines that the judgement will arrive on the pitch, not at the microphone: Juventus do not expect a win against Real Madrid, but they do expect personality. Another timid performance, like those against Como, Villarreal or Milan, would be considered the real failure.

Vaciago stresses that the issue is not the league table or Champions League position, both still salvageable, but the team’s mentality. The editor argues Juve’s problems are “less about refereeing errors and more about lethargy, technical imprecision and a lack of defensive concentration.” ............

The message is clear: a reaction is now mandatory. The club wants to see intensity, identity and leadership, with the editor reminding readers that Tudor knows Juventus from inside its history and must now show he can embody it. ............

Tudor insists without referee mistakes Juventus could have been in better position

Tudor a rischio dopo la sconfitta con il Como, confronto duro con la società. Real Madrid e Lazio decisive | Corriere.it

Juventus suffered their first defeat of the season at the weekend against Como, placing significant pressure on manager Igor Tudor. The setback was particularly notable given that the team had drawn their previous five matches, with fans hoping for a victory in the sixth, only for the side to experience a disappointing loss. In football, it is widely understood that a manager is often the first to face scrutiny when results do not go as planned, and Tudor now finds himself navigating these high expectations. ............

Juventus’ run of draws has contributed to the current scrutiny surrounding Tudor, with some results influenced by contentious decisions from referees. In particular, a match against Verona saw a disputed penalty awarded to the opposition, which many believe unfairly affected the outcome. Tudor has highlighted that, without these setbacks, the team could be in a much stronger position in the league standings.

Tudor reflected on the situation, stating:

“I’m very clear-headed, and everything is very clear to me. I’m calm, I feel good, and I’m motivated to move forward. I want to prepare every match like a final. Without the mistakes in Verona and with a different draw, we would have been first. That’s how it is, and there are no excuses. It’s 100% like that because I analyze the performance.” ............

As Juventus gear up for their Champions League encounter, Tudor’s focus remains on maximising his squad’s potential. The manager is determined to address the issues that have led to dropped points while maintaining the team’s morale and tactical discipline. His measured approach suggests that he is committed to long-term stability and success, even amid immediate pressures. ............

Alessandro Del Piero is not entirely convinced by Igor Tudor’s pre-match statements against Real Madrid. ‘Juventus need to be organised, have tactical ideas and also fire.’ ............

The mood in the Bianconeri camp is negative after a month without a victory in all competition, managing five consecutive stalemates and a 2-0 defeat to Como.

In his comments, coach Tudor insisted that tactics “don’t count for much” and neither does the starting XI, preferring to focus on mentality and desire to win. ............

“I’m not sure it’s right to say all you need is heart or mentality, these are games that prepare themselves because you are in this stadium and against Real Madrid, so don’t need to fire up the team for that,” Del Piero said.

“You need to be organised, have tactical ideas and keep everything to the max, including the fire. At times, this Juventus is missing that fire. You need that desire to do something more, and it’s not just about the players. You can study opponents and your own teams in pre-season, but you need that too.” ............

“The situation we are seeing is very similar to last season, so it worries me that we are seeing this repetition in performances. Como are a quality team and deserve praise, but Juventus should’ve had a different attitude in that match. I feel the vision ought to be expanded to tactics, physicality, and also this fire that the players need every time they want to pull on that shirt. Juventus need players who all think like this, in my view.” ............

“Real Madrid need only 10-15 minutes to win a game in this stadium, with the talent at their disposal. Juventus need to play at the maximum for 90 minutes to just emerge well from this match, not even to win or draw, but to show what they are capable of. It can give them the push needed to believe that by playing like that, they can get results against anyone. ............

Juventus director Giorgio Chiellini insists the club ‘wants nothing more’ than for Igor Tudor to continue in the role and there is no ‘crisis’ within the Old Lady. ............

“We as Juventus have some very positive memories of Real Madrid, some negative too, but every era is different and it’s tough to compare them,” Chiellini said. ............

“A lot has been said and written this week that is not true. Igor is the Juventus coach and we want nothing more than for him to continue. People wrote about supposed bad relations, but like all families there are discussions, sometimes you agree and sometimes you don’t, but you keep going together,” insisted Chiellini. ............

“It has been a tough fixture list and we could’ve had a few more points, but we are clear-headed in analysing this moment,” added Chiellini.

“There is a big game tonight that is separate from the dynamics of Serie A, after that we’ll have matches against Lazio, Udinese and Cremonese where we’ll dive into a different atmosphere eager to pick up some of the points we’ve dropped along the way.

“Naturally, we expected to have a few more points, but that’s a long way from calling this a crisis.” ............

“The coach is free to make his choices, we never talked about getting value out of players based on their contracts. Tudor has our support, we never pressured him into making any choices. He picks his team, we hope it is the right one this evening, but the attitude is more important than the starting XI.” ............

Pedulla: Juventus players still backing Tudor, but the management set a deadline

Tudor rues missed chances as Juventus slump to another defeat at Real Madrid

Juventus manager Igor Tudor still has the backing of the locker-room, but the hierarchy’s patience is not unlimited.

The Bianconeri started their campaign with three victories in a row, but they now find themselves winless in their last seven across all competitions. They have slipped to seventh place in the Serie A standings, and they have only collected two points from three Champions League outings. ............

In addition to the team’s poor run of results, the Croatian boss reportedly shares a frosty relationship with the Juventus General Director and soon-to-be CEO, Damien Comolli.

Nevertheless, Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla insists that the squad remains firm behind Tudor, as evidenced by the player’s valiant response against Real Madrid on Wednesday, despite the defeat.

“One thing is important, beyond the performance: The team is fully behind Tudor, despite all the possible confusion,” said Pedulla.

“The team’s response in terms of unity is a testament.” ............

“Thinking that Juve could sign a third coach is unimaginable, but it’s clear that the next few matches must yield positive results. The deadline is the next international break.” ............

Juventus will head to Rome this weekend for a clash against Lazio, before hosting Udinese at the Allianz Stadium in midweek. Afterwards, they will play Cremonese away from home, and then host Sporting CP in the Champions League.

Their final fixture before the international break will be the Derby della Mole against Torino, which will take place at the Allianz Stadium on November 8. ............

Thierry Henry says they lack “identity or a philosophy”

It's a shame' - Juventus missing 'strength of champions' against Real Madrid as Igor Tudor rues 'mistakes' in narrow Champions League defeat | Goal.com

Thierry Henry has expressed his disappointment at Juventus’ recent performances, lamenting the team’s apparent lack of identity following consecutive defeats in midweek. The Bianconeri, who were beaten by Como in Serie A and then by Real Madrid in the Champions League, appear to be struggling for both form and direction. ............

Under Igor Tudor, Juventus began the season showing promise and energy, particularly during their strong performances in the Club World Cup and the opening weeks of the domestic campaign. However, over the past month, that early enthusiasm has faded. The team now looks devoid of creativity and inspiration, with several key players struggling to influence games. This decline has inevitably raised questions about Tudor’s tactical approach and whether his methods can deliver long-term improvement. ............

Thierry Henry, who once wore the black and white shirt during his playing career, has voiced concern over what he perceives as a loss of the club’s defining traits. Reflecting on the current situation, he said: “Without an identity or a philosophy, it’s difficult to compete. I see a team that doesn’t compete, without an identity and without its philosophy. When you think of Juve, you think of a team that competes, a team with a clear identity and philosophy. But when you have a philosophy, everything changes. I understand that Tudor has recently arrived and that there’s a new president, and things can still happen.” ............

Juventus ask Tudor to ‘calm down’ after latest press-room outburst

TURIN, ITALY - SEPTEMBER 27: Igor Tudor, Head Coach of Juventus, reacts during the Serie A match between Juventus FC and Atalanta BC at the Allianz Stadium on September 27, 2025 in Turin, Italy. (Photo by Valerio Pennicino/Getty Images)

Juventus have reportedly asked Igor Tudor to adjust his communication style after a series of increasingly tense press-conference outbursts, culminating in his surprise rant in Madrid this week. ............

It marks a sharp contrast from Tudor’s early weeks, when he energised the environment and spoke with ambition. Back in August, the coach had declared: “They say we will finish fourth, fifth or sixth – that is only a motivation. Juventus never start a season just to qualify for the Champions League.”

Now, however, the tone has shifted. In Madrid the Croatian argued that “if the analysis is that we are Juve and must always win, it is not a correct analysis,” while also complaining about referees and the fixture list. ............

The club fear this rhetoric risks creating alibis for the squad rather than lifting the group during a negative run. ............

Massimo Orlando insists Tudor is not at fault for all of Juventus problems

Serie A - Juventus v Genoa

Juventus find themselves in a troubling period as their early-season form has dramatically declined, leaving them unable to secure victories and casting doubt on their ability to compete at the top of Serie A. After a promising start, the team’s performances have faltered, prompting growing concern among supporters and analysts alike. ............

Juventus possess a squad filled with quality players, and expectations remain high for them to perform at an elite level. However, despite the quality within the team, progress has been minimal since 2020. The club has gone through multiple managerial changes during that period, each time hoping for a revival that has yet to materialise.

The pattern of instability has led many to believe that the problems run deeper than the head coach alone. Igor Tudor, the current manager, has found himself under mounting pressure amid the poor run of form, with speculation already circulating that he could be replaced in the coming weeks. However, not everyone believes sacking another manager would solve the crisis. ............

Football analyst Massimo Orlando shared his perspective on the situation, suggesting that Juventus’ problems are structural rather than solely tactical. Orlando said: “It’s not just Tudor’s fault. Juventus has a club that has been constantly changing managers for the past four or five years, with mediocre players for a Juventus team, apart from four or five players. What kind of team is Juventus? If this is it, they risk finishing seventh or eighth, I’m convinced of that. They’ve become ordinary, they’re not Juventus. The sooner they find good managers, who also bring in good players, the sooner they’ll be back on top. Otherwise, the dark period will continue because it’s not easy to get out of it. They need to work hard, starting with the club.” ............

Balzarini: Juventus wouldn’t wait until international break to sack Tudor

Igor Tudor on the sidelines

Italian journalist Gianni Balzarini provides the latest updates on the future of Igor Tudor at Juventus.

The Croatian is a former Bianconeri defender who was initially appointed as interim coach in March to replace Thiago Motta, before being confirmed on a permanent basis last summer, when the club failed to prise Antonio Conte away from Napoli. ............

According to Balzarini, the contest against the Biancocelesti won’t be decisive for Tudor, who can rest assured for now.

“At this time, there is no intention of dismissing coach Tudor,” said the journalist. ............

“The idea that we should wait for a break is BS as far as big clubs are concerned.

“During the international break, 13 or 14 Juventus players are usually away. A new coach doesn’t get the chance to train with the squad until the final two or three days.” ............

Modesto: ‘Juventus have faith’ in Tudor, Openda and David

MADRID, SPAIN - OCTOBER 22: Igor Tudor, Head Coach of Juventus, looks on prior to the UEFA Champions League 2025/26 League Phase MD3 match between Real Madrid C.F. and Juventus at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on October 22, 2025 in Madrid, Spain. (Photo by Angel Martinez/Getty Images)

Juventus technical director Francois Modesto insists they ‘have a lot of faith’ in coach Igor Tudor, and are confident Lois Openda and Jonathan David will flourish eventually. ............

“Igor is our coach, we are very happy with him, have a lot of faith in his work, and want to focus on getting the win this evening,” Modesto said. ............

“It is a very difficult league in Italy, there are some very well-organised coaches and teams, which makes it tough for those who come here from other divisions. If we look to the past, we’ll see many great champions who struggled at the beginning in Serie A,” warned Modesto.

“The positive thing is that David and Openda have settled well into the group, and of course they have always scored lots of goals in their careers, so we think it’s just a matter of time. We hope that they will start scoring from tonight.” ............

“There are absolutely no issues. Dusan is a great professional, a leader of this team, he is helping David and Openda off the field too, and we are very happy,” added Modesto.

“We have leaders in this squad, like Bremer who unfortunately is injured, Gatti and Kenan Yildiz, so we have no lack of leaders.” ............

“Koopmeiners works hard, he had difficulties like many who first come to Juve, but he is improving, the coach has put him in a few different positions, and we hope he can show what he has always done with Atalanta and in some games at Juventus,” concluded the director.

Juventus might sack Tudor after next Serie A game

MADRID, SPAIN - OCTOBER 22: Igor Tudor, Head Coach of Juventus, looks on prior to the UEFA Champions League 2025/26 League Phase MD3 match between Real Madrid C.F. and Juventus at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on October 22, 2025 in Madrid, Spain. (Photo by Angel Martinez/Getty Images)

Sources in Italy claim that Wednesday’s Serie A game against Udinese may end Igor Tudor’s spell at Juventus, regardless of the result, as the Bianconeri have gone eight consecutive games without a win. ............

The last time Tudor’s men collected all three points was on September 13 against Inter and the Croatian tactician’s job is inevitably under scrutiny. ............

A new Serie A round is just around the corner, as Week 9 will be played mid-week. Juventus will host Udinese at the Allianz Stadium on Wednesday and according to reports, that could be Tudor’s last game in charge of the Bianconeri.

Tudor might be sacked even if Juventus win and the Croat is expected to be given time until the next match. ............

Not all Juventus directors are convinced to sack Tudor with immediate effect; therefore, the Croat is expected to sit on the Juventus bench in the next game in just two days.

As for the possible replacements, Italian media mention the same candidates named just a few days ago: Luciano Spalletti, Roberto Mancini, Raffaele Palladino and even Thiago Motta, who was sacked in March 2025, but remains under contract with the club until 2027.

Juventus evaluating three managerial options as pressure mounts on Tudor

Igor Tudor with his assistant

Juventus have yet to make a decision on Igor Tudor, but they’re already reflecting on the available options.

Following Sunday’s 0-1 defeat at the hands of Lazio, the free-falling Serie A giants have now lost three on the trot across all competitions. They have also failed to record a win in their last outing, and haven’t even scored a goal in their last four. ............

The Croatian is now walking on increasingly thin ice, even if the decision to sack him hasn’t materialised just yet. ............

The report has once again confirmed the identities of the three main profiles linked with the Turin hot seat.

The first is Luciano Spalletti, who has been on the shelf since being relieved from his duties with the Italian national team in June.

The second name on the list is yet another vastly experienced manager in the shape of Roberto Mancini. ............

Finally, Raffaele Palladino represents a young profile, who is nonetheless familiar with the Juventus environment, having played for the club early in his career. The 41-year-old had largely positive managerial spells at Monza and Fiorentina.

Breaking: Juventus sack Tudor and replace him with Brambilla

Perché Tudor è stato esonerato: il rapporto con Comolli, le conferenze e lo sfogo all'Olimpico

Juventus have reportedly opted to sack Igor Tudor on Monday morning, and will soon communicate the decision.

The Bianconeri are now winless in their last eight matches across all competitions, and lost the last three. They have also failed to score a single goal in their last four outings.

Therefore, Sunday’s defeat to Lazio proved to be the final straw. ............

Some of the most trusted sources in the Italian media all agree that the decision has been made to sack the Croatian manager.

These sources insist that the Juventus management has already made the call, and the only thing missing at this stage is the official announcement, which shouldn’t take long to be released. ............

Moreover, the Bianconeri have reportedly decided to temporarily replace Tudor with Juventus Next Gen coach Massimo Brambilla, until they find a permanent solution.

The 52-year-old will thus be at the helm when the first team hosts Udinese at the Allianz Stadium.

Brambilla spent years working with Atalanta’s youth ranks, before joining Juventus Next Gen in 2022. After a two-year spell, he vacated his role to sign for Foggia.

However, the Bianconeri resorted to his services once more after sacking Paolo Montero in mid-season. The Italian’s return to Turin sparked a revival, as he oversaw the team’s rise from the relegation zone to the Serie C playoff spots. ............

Tudor’s destiny already written as Juventus decision confirmed

ROME, ITALY - OCTOBER 26: Igor Tudor, Head Coach of Juventus, reacts during the Serie A match between SS Lazio and Juventus FC at Stadio Olimpico on October 26, 2025 in Rome, Italy. (Photo by Paolo Bruno/Getty Images)

Juventus have already informed Igor Tudor that he’ll be sacked, but the coach’s destiny has been written since the start of October.

Juventus have decided to sack their coach Tudor, and the club directors have already informed the Croatian tactician. An official statement in the coming hours will formally put an end to Tudor’s reign, which began in March 2025 and ended with three consecutive losses against Como, Real Madrid and Lazio. ............

The situation at Juventus has been clear since October 6, when I reported that, without tactical clarity, the coach would pay a high price.

This is exactly what happened today, as Juventus have not even waited for the next Serie A match against Udinese on Wednesday. ............

Tudor took charge of 24 Juventus matches across all competitions, grabbing 10 wins, eight draws and six losses.

Three reasons why Juventus pulled the plug on Tudor – Elkann’s role revealed

Tudor rivela le insidie che avrà la Juve contro il Wydad e torna sul discorso di Elkann: "Mi è piaciuto" - Calcio | Tribuna.com

After hours of deliberation, the Juventus hierarchy decided to relieve Igor Tudor of his duties on Monday morning.

The Bianconeri had been on a downward spiral since beating Inter in the Derby d’Italia back in September. They have now gone eight matches without a win, four games without a goal, and have put together a three-match losing streak. ............

The club directors made the decision after holding overnight talks with Juve’s majority owner, John Elkann. ............

First of all, the Juventus director were said to be taken aback by some of Tudor’s recent statements to the media, especially on the eve of the Champions League clash against Real Madrid. The Croatian had been constantly complaining about refereeing decisions and the packed schedule, so much that Damien Comolli, Francois Modesto and Giorgio Chiellini had asked him to tone it down. ............

Finally, the source argues that while the players had been publicly backing the 46-year-old, they weren’t all genuinely behind him. ............

A group of Juventus ultras have expressed their support for recently-sacked head coach Igor Tudor, just a few hours after his departure was officially confirmed by the club: ‘One of us’. ............

The Bianconeri have already been in direct contact with former Italy national team head coach Luciano Spalletti, who is considered the first-choice candidate to replace Tudor at the Allianz Stadium. ............

Just a few hours after Tudor’s sacking was officially announced, Juventus ultras from the Curva Sud erected a banner outside the Allianz Stadium, expressing their support for the recently-departed Tudor.

“Tudor one of us, the fish stinks from the head,” the banner outside the Juventus stadium read. ............

He is the third Bianconeri head coach to depart in 18 months, following the dismissals of Thiago Motta and Massimiliano Allegri in March 2025 and May 2024 respectively.

Juventus identify Spalletti as the favourite to replace Tudor

Luciano Spalletti giving instructions

Luciano Spalletti has emerged as the early frontrunner for the vacant Juventus job following Igor Tudor’s sacking on Monday. ............

The club has temporarily appointed Juventus Next Gen manager, Massimo Brambilla, as caretaker, but his time with the first team is only expected to last a few days, before a permament manager arrives in Turin. But who will it be? ............

At this stage, we can confirm that Juve’s first option remains Luciano Spalletti. The vastly experienced coach is all too familiar with managing top Serie A clubs; He has two separate tenures at Roma, one at Inter, and famously led Napoli to their first Scudetto title in 33 years back in 2023. ............

Spalletti was made redundant in June following a forgettable experience with the Italian national team, but Juventus consider him the ideal solution for the role, as he would implement a 4-2-3-1 formation that would suit the current squad.

Raffaele Palladino represents the second option, as he could be less costly than Spalletti. Moreover, the former Monza and Fiorentina has been offered to the Turin-based giants, and is willing to accept a contract until the end of the season with an option for an extension. ............

Luciano Spalletti open to Juventus job as contract talks begin

Luciano Spalletti during his time with Italy

Former Italy boss Luciano Spalletti has given Juventus the initial ‘yes’, as the two parties begin negotiating an agreement.

The Serie A giants have announced the sacking of Igor Tudor on Monday morning, and the appointment of Juventus Next Gen manager Massimo Brambilla as caretaker coach. ............

In an exclusive for Juve FC, highly esteemed Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà revealed that Spalletti is the club’s preferred candidate for the role, while Raffaele Palladino and Roberto Mancini are the fallback options.

Pedullà has now followed up on this news, revealing that Juventus and Spalletti are already in direct contact. ............

The source reveals that the 66-year-old has already confirmed his availability for the role, so it remains to be seen if the two parties will manage to find a full accord.

The former Roma, Inter and Napoli boss has reportedly asked for a contract until June 2027, but he’s also willing to consider a short-term deal until the end of the season.

Juventus are obviously inclined towards the latter solution, as they still have Thiago Motta and Tudor on their payroll. ............

In the meantime, Brambilla is overseeing the club’s preparations for Wednesday’s home contest against Udinese.

At this stage, it remains unclear if the Italian manager will remain in charge for the weekend trip to Cremona, as it hinges on the outcome of the club’s managerial search. ............

The latest updates suggest that Luciano Spalletti is the current frontrunner to become the new head coach of Juventus following the sacking of Igor Tudor, but how would the former Italy CT line up with the Bianconeri, and which tactics would he look to deploy? ............

Several coaches have already been linked with a move to the Allianz Stadium, including Raffaele Palladino and Roberto Mancini, but Spalletti is considered the current frontrunner, and has already been in direct talks with the club. ............

Spalletti has deployed a number of different formations across his recent spells in charge of the Italy national team, Napoli and Inter.

Most recently, Spalletti played with a 3-5-1-1 during his final matches in charge of the Italy national team, given that he had plenty of midfielders. ............

With Napoli, a 4-3-3 built around centre-forward Victor Osimhen and left winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was the norm during Spalletti’s Scudetto-winning season in 2022-23.

With Inter, a 4-2-3-1 was Spalletti’s usual go-to, and, given the options currently available at Juventus, it would make sense if he deployed that same system in Turin. ............

Given that the current Juventus squad is not blessed with an abundance of central midfield options, it would make sense to see Manuel Locatelli and Khephren Thuram keep their places in a double-pivot.

There would then be several options to deploy in the no.10 role, including posterboy Kenan Yildiz, summer signing Jonathan David and the out-of-favour Teun Koopmeiners, all of whom offer different qualities. ............

(4-2-3-1): Di Gregorio; Joao Mario, Kalulu, Bremer, Cambiaso; Locatelli, Thuram; Conceicao, David, Yildiz; Vlahvoic.

Del Piero defends Tudor, only spares two Juventus stars: “The others are struggling”

Tudor: "Lanciai i calzini nello spogliatoio della Juve, poi arrivò Del Piero". Gli diede una lezione

Juventus icon Alessandro Del Piero insists that the club’s problems run far deeper than Igor Tudor and his coaching style.

The team is without a win in the last eight matches, and hasn’t scored a goal in the last four. ............

Del Piero rose to Tudor’s defence, as he instead pointed the finger towards the hierarchy, which presented the head coach with an uncompetitive squad.

“I don’t think the word ‘confusion’ is the most appropriate for Igor,” said the 50-year-old while debating.

“It’s not a question of confusion, Juve doesn’t have a coaching problem today, but rather a more complex one regarding how the team is structured and how they’ve come together at the start of the season, how they’re performing, and the results that are dragging the team down.” ............

The 2006 World Cup winner argues that Juventus deserved a draw against Lazio, unlike their previous Serie A outing against Como.

“The team was alive and kicking, they didn’t do badly, the draw was the fairest result. The problem was Como.

“As for the rest, I don’t think this team would win the Scudetto with another coach.” ............

“We still don’t have 11 starters, but not because Tudor doesn’t want to, but because, beyond two or three players like Yildiz and Thuram, the others have always struggled, and so you’re forced to always try different solutions.” ............

“More traumatic” – Sky reporter reveals difference between Motta & Tudor sackings

Quanto costa alla Juventus pagare gli stipendi di Tudor e Thiago Motta per non fare niente

Italian journalist Francesco Cosatti explains how former Juventus managers Thiago Motta and Igor Tudor were sacked amidst different circumstances. ............

The Croatian was then confirmed as permanent manager when the club failed to sign Antonio Conte, but like his predecessor, his tenure proved short-lived.

On Monday morning, Juventus announced the sacking of the 46-year-old, who has been temporarily replaced by Next Gen manager Massimo Brambilla until the appointment of a new permanent boss. ............

Nevertheless, Cosatti insists that the two dismissals occurred amidst different circumstances, as Motta’s sacking was far more dramatic and volatile.

“On a human level, I’d say that Tudor’s departure wasn’t too dramatic,” said the Sky Sport Italian correspondent.

“It’s certainly different from the final weeks of Thiago Motta’s experience, if we want to make the closest possible comparison from a chronological perspective. The end of Thiago Motta’s experience was certainly more traumatic from this perspective.” ............

“From what we can conclude, Igor Tudor’s relationship with the squad was still decent. Mattia Perin’s words that we heard last night were indicative, in my opinion, and he responded clearly. ............

Juventus, Buffon expresses support for Spalletti : ‘You won’t lose many with him’

Juventus and Italy legend Gianluigi Buffon has expressed his support for his former colleague Luciano Spalletti, who is the current frontrunner to replace Igor Tudor as head coach of the Bianconeri. ............

Several names have already been linked with a move to take over at the Allianz Stadium, including Roberto Mancini and Raffaele Palladino, but Spalletti is the current frontrunner, and is already in direct contact with the club. ............

“For me, Luciano is the right profile for any big club who wants to remain ambitious. You won’t lose many with Luciano,” Buffon said.

Buffon and Spalletti have worked together previously as part of the Italy national team set-up. Spalletti was CT from the end of the summer in 2023 until the start of the summer in 2025, while Buffon served as delegation chief, a role that he still holds today. ............

“It would be a great professional choice,” Buffon said of Juventus’s links with Spalletti. “He’s a football man, he’s a great person and a great coach.

“Spalletti is the best around in terms of experience, charisma and authority. He’s the right person for ambitious clubs who want to remain ambitious. It’s a shame seeing him not in the dugout.”

Ciro Ferrara predicted Igor Tudor would pay the price for Juve’s poor form

Tudor: "Con l'Inter vale più di 3 punti. Vlahovic, David e Openda attaccanti più forti della A"

Juventus have announced the sacking of Igor Tudor following a disappointing run of results, which saw the team fail to secure a victory in several consecutive matches. The Italian manager, who enjoyed a notable career as a player for the club, struggled to inspire the squad during one of the most challenging periods in recent Juventus history. ............

While Tudor is widely regarded as a talented manager with a strong understanding of football and Juventus’ culture, his tenure was marked by inconsistency and underperformance. The team’s lack of cohesion and determination on the pitch meant that expectations were not met, prompting concern among supporters and officials alike. Juventus have a proud history of success, and when a side struggles to achieve positive results, managerial changes are often inevitable.

Ciro Ferrara, speaking on the matter, provided context for the decision, emphasising the pressures inherent to football management. He said, “Like all coaches. I’m sorry, because I know Igor, but inevitably, the results aren’t rewarding his work. Coaches are always questioned, especially after a string of negative results. I hope he’s given time, but that’s the story of coaches.” Ferrara’s comments highlight the harsh realities of managing at a club of Juventus’ stature, where results often outweigh long-term plans or potential. ............

Given the recent string of defeats, it was widely expected that Tudor’s position would become untenable. Any manager in his position following the loss to Lazio would have faced immense pressure, and the likelihood of dismissal was high. Juventus have emphasised that the decision was driven by a need to rejuvenate the squad and restore confidence ahead of the remainder of the season. ............

Sky Sport Italia suggests that Juventus could meet face-to-face with Luciano Spalletti to discuss a potential appointment as Bianconeri head coach on Tuesday, and that the Old Lady are planning to offer a short-term contract with an option to renew. ............

The Croatian had gone eight matches without a win in any competition and his team had not scored in any of their last four matches. He becomes the first Serie A head coach to lose their job in 2025-26, lasting for just eight league matches. ............

Juventus could hold face-to-face talks with Spalletti as early as Tuesday. As Football Italia reported on Monday, the former Napoli and Italy head coach is the current frontrunner to replace Tudor.

According to the latest updates, Juventus are prepared to offer Spalletti a contract until the end of the 2025-26 season with an obligation to renew if the Old Lady qualify for next season’s Champions League. ............

It remains to be seen whether that automatic contract extension will be for another 12 months, or for another two years. Monday evening’s report indicates that Spalletti is already inclined to accept either way. ............
