Italy delegation chief Gianluigi Buffon claims Juventus ‘would’ve been in the Scudetto race’ if Luciano Spalletti had started the season rather than Igor Tudor. ............

“Juve started with a bit of a handicap and needed to bridge that gap,” Buffon told reporters as he attended the Teatro di Campioni event in Genoa.

“Doing that against teams like Inter and Napoli becomes tough, so a few draws might’ve promoted people to turn up their noses at them, but Spalletti’s influence on this team is unequivocable and evident.

“Juve are growing a great deal recently, and if Spalletti had been there from the start, they would’ve been in the Scudetto race.” ............

Since Spalletti has been at the helm, Juve have picked up seven Serie A victories, three draws and one defeat to Napoli.

That is the only loss they experienced under him, along with three wins between the Champions League and Coppa Italia, and a stalemate.

Opinion: The real reason Spalletti is the man Juventus need

Juventus Bantai Cremonese 5-0, Luciano Spalletti Ibaratkan Dapat Sepeda Impian, Saatnya Mengayuh Lebih Kencang - Radar Madiun

Luciano Spalletti has impressed since becoming Juventus manager, and he is expected to remain in charge for the foreseeable future. Under his guidance, the Bianconeri have developed into a promising and progressive team, demonstrating the ability to perform consistently and compete at the top of the league. Juventus has worked hard to reach this stage, and the club is determined to avoid returning to the low points that marked previous periods under earlier managers. ............

One of Spalletti’s most notable strengths is his ability to get the best out of players who struggled under previous management. Several individuals who were close to being sold have been revived under his leadership, demonstrating renewed form and confidence. For example, Jonathan David has been reinvigorated, showing that Spalletti can identify potential and adapt it to the team’s needs. This skill is a key attribute of a successful manager, as it allows him to strengthen the squad without relying solely on new signings. ............

Spalletti’s approach ensures that when Juventus acquire new talent, these players can be integrated effectively, becoming valuable components of a well-functioning side. By combining tactical knowledge with an ability to motivate and optimise player performance, he has laid the groundwork for sustained success. ............

Giorgio Chiellini is confident that he will see Luciano Spalletti ‘at Juventus for many years,’ and warns tonight’s trip to Cagliari is a ‘classic trap.’ ............

“It’s only right, as every game is important, and tonight is one of those classic fixtures that can be a trap,” Chiellini said.

“A win here would be very important for us, to give us a sense of consistency and be able to face next week’s Champions League and Serie A match with Napoli in the right mood.” ............

Spalletti only signed a contract that runs to the end of this season, but there are negotiations to pen an extension regardless of whether they qualify for the Champions League.

“We always had in our minds the idea of extending the contract. I always said that I could see Luciano at Juventus for many years. We’ll talk about it at the suitable moment, but we never had doubts,” assured Chiellini.

Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti argued with a Bianconeri fan during tonight’s home Champions League match against Benfica: ‘Next time, stay home.’

Juventus coach Spalletti argued with a fan who had been loudly criticising the team in the opening 50 minutes of a home Champions League match against Benfica. ............

The Portuguese side, coached by José Mourinho, probably had the best chances in the opening 45 minutes, prompting the Allianz Stadium to boo their own team at half-time.

With Juventus still struggling early in the second half, Spalletti lost his composure and confronted a fan behind the dugout. ............

Alessandro Alciato claimed that Spalletti and the fan exchanged words before the coach said: “Next time, stay home.”

Just a few minutes later, Juventus scored the opener through Khephren Thuram, and according to the same journalist, Spalletti celebrated the goal just in front of that Juventus fan.

“We consider him a tactical wizard” Del Piero heaps praise on Luciano Spalletti

La reazione di Spalletti alla domanda scomoda di Del Piero sulla Juventus: "Dove vai così?"

Alessandro Del Piero has offered strong praise for Luciano Spalletti following Juventus victory over Benfica in the Champions League. The match was widely viewed as a demanding tactical contest, particularly with Jose Mourinho in the opposing dugout, which added an extra layer of intrigue. Expectations were that the coach who could best manage the tactical battle would emerge victorious. Once again, Spalletti succeeded in overcoming Mourinho, as he had often done previously in their respective managerial roles. ............

The encounter against Benfica highlighted the tactical intelligence that Spalletti has instilled in his side. Despite losing their domestic match at the weekend, Juventus responded with a disciplined and effective performance. This ability to recover quickly and deliver when required has been viewed as a reflection of the manager’s influence.

The game itself demanded patience and precision, qualities that Juventus demonstrated throughout the evening. With Mourinho renowned for his own tactical approach, the contest became a battle of ideas as much as ability. Ultimately, Juventus executed their plan more effectively, earning an important victory that reinforced belief within the squad. ............

Reflecting on the manager’s qualities, Del Piero spoke with admiration. He said: ” We consider him a tactical wizard, capable of making players play at exceptional levels. He also has the ability to touch other keys with the players, both in terms of character and technique. Even when I was playing, they would tell me, ‘Enjoy the victory.’ No, I don’t enjoy it for a moment, the mentality is the same, I’m always trying to improve.” ............

Michele Padovano insists Spalletti deserves credit for turning things around at Juventus

Luciano Spalletti

Since Luciano Spalletti was appointed manager of Juventus, the team has shown clear improvement across all aspects of its performance. Before his arrival, the club struggled with confidence and mentality, and players often failed to deliver in matches they were expected to win. That pattern has changed noticeably under Spalletti, whose experience has brought stability and renewed belief to the squad.

Spalletti is the most experienced of the last three managers Juventus have appointed, and his influence is evident in both results and performances. ............

One of the most striking changes under Spalletti has been the shift in mentality among the players. There is a stronger understanding of the stature of the club and the expectations that come with wearing the Juventus shirt. This awareness has translated into more assured displays and a greater sense of responsibility on the pitch.

While it remains to be seen how far Juventus can go this season, the confidence within the squad has undoubtedly grown. Players appear more comfortable in their roles and more willing to take initiative during matches. This renewed belief has been central to their recent progress and has restored optimism among the fan base. ............

Former player Michele Padovano has been impressed by what he has seen so far and has highlighted the positive changes implemented by the manager. He said: “I’d say Juventus played a good game; they returned home with playoff qualification in their pocket, and that’s a first objective they’ve achieved. A win against Monaco could also secure a top-eight finish, but frankly, I see it as a bit tougher here. Under Spalletti, we’re certainly seeing a different team in every way, with tactical adjustments and some players who are now more mentally free. So, credit must be given to the Tuscan coach, who has turned around a team that seemed to have lost its way on every front.”

Leonardo Bonucci believes that Luciano Spalletti is making Juventus ‘feel like Juventus’ again, and believes that his former comrade Giorgio Chiellini has everything it takes to become a Bianconeri legend off the pitch. ............

Bonucci was full of praise for Spalletti, and says that ‘insiders’ are also pleased with the direction the club appears to be heading in under the new head coach.

“Today, with Spalletti, it feels like Juventus again,” Bonucci said. “I speak to the guys on the inside, as well as with him, and I have to say that they’re all very happy with what he’s bringing on the pitch and the relationship with the team.” ............

“I spoke to him when I moved to Istanbul for the last six months of my career to try and earn a place in the national team. I’ve always had a very direct relationship with Spalletti. When I wasn’t part of his plans, we spoke and explained our respective points of view. We shook hands, we hugged and moved on.”

Bonucci feels that Juventus have the right people running things behind the scenes, which includes his long-term former teammate, Chiellini, who has moved into an executive role since the end of his playing career.

“I think he’s looking a bit worn out,” Bonucci joked. “It’s always been his dream, his desire to become a director at Juventus. I think he has the intelligence, the ability and the experience to do it. ............

Kalulu reveals a key message Spalletti has given all the players at Juventus

Spalletti fa dire a Kalulu cosa è successo nello spogliatoio Juve: "Non fare casino, cosa ho detto?"

Luciano Spalletti has made a significant impact since taking charge of Juventus, with his work gradually transforming the Bianconeri into a more competitive and confident side. When he arrived, the club was struggling for consistency, and many opponents approached matches against the men in black and white, believing they had a genuine chance of victory. ............

Juventus appointed Spalletti, fully aware that the squad required experienced leadership and a clear tactical identity. So far, that decision appears justified. The manager has brought structure, authority, and renewed belief to a team that had lost some of its edge. While Juventus have always possessed quality, they are once again showing the ability to impose themselves when performing at their best, something that has become increasingly evident under Spalletti’s guidance. ............

The impact of Spalletti’s methods has also been felt clearly within the dressing room. Players have spoken about how his demands extend beyond tactics, influencing their mentality and approach to matches. Pierre Kalulu has now offered insight into the advice and expectations the manager has shared with the squad.

Kalulu explained, “That we must be protagonists of the game, as well as of our own destinies. The more actions we take to influence the outcome, the more likely we are to win. Whether the defender is attacking or the attacker is defending, we can make a difference.” ............
