It got even worse for the hosts, as Stephan Lichtsteiner sent Mandzukic clear and he was brought down from behind by Danilo. The red card was inevitable and Dybala coolly converted the penalty. Alex Sandro added to the embarrassing rout, curling from the edge of the box into the far side of the net for his maiden Serie A goal. It could’ve been more, but before half-time Orestis Karnezis performed decisive saves on Kwadwo Asamoah and Khedira.
