JUVENTUS - CHIEVO 1 - 1 Perparim Hetemaj (5') Paulo Dybala (83'-P.) Saturday, September 12th, 2015 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee: Marco Guida Juventus 1-1 Chievo: Flying Donkeys Undergo Emergency Landing http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2015/09/juventus-1-1-chievo-flying-donkeys-undergo-emergency-landing/? Sep 12, 2015 Juventus drew 1-1 with Chievo at the Juventus Stadium on Saturday night in Serie A, earning the home side their first point of the season. Perparim Hetemaj scored the opener with a sumptuous first-time hit from the edge of the box before Paulo Dybala slammed home a late penalty. In what can best be touted as a must win game for Juventus, the home side made the worst possible start when they fell behind after just five minutes. Hetemaj was the early hero, slicing a perfect outside-of-the-boot shot that spun out of the reach of a despairing Gianluigi Buffon. The Bianconeri attempted to hit back straight away – Alvaro Morata stinging the palms of Albano Bizzarri before Roberto Pereyra spurned an easy chance. An open game ensued with Massimiliano Allegri’s side dominating possession but failing to take their chances, with the away team resorting to a defensive counter-attacking display. The Juventus desperation continued all the way to half-time, resorting in a barrage of long shots and floated crosses that failed to create any real opening. It seemed inevitable Chievo would replicate their quick start from the first-half right after the break, but Buffon produced incredible cat-like reflexes to deny Alberto Paloschi. Juventus regrouped and begun their repetitive and rather non-clinical nature prior to the hour mark when Pereyra spanked the post, only for substitute Paul Pogba to see his shot blocked before Dybala blazed over. Soon after, Chievo thought they’d doubled their lead when Bostjan Cesar nipped in at the back post but the goal was disallowed. Hernanes saw his strike saved before Juan Cuadrado earned his new club a penalty in the final ten minutes. Dybala stepped up and smashed the ball into the top right corner to level proceedings. The draw means Chievo remain unbeaten so far, with Juventus gaining a valuable first point. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/tables/serie-a/13?ICID=SP_TN_127

JUVENTUS - CHIEVO 1 - 1 Perparim Hetemaj (5') Paulo Dybala (83'-P.) Saturday, September 12th, 2015 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee: Marco Guida Dybala: 'Juve deserved victory' http://www.football-italia.net/72895/dybala-juve-deserved-victory? Sep 12, 2015 Paulo Dybala felt Juventus dominated Chievo and deserved more than one point in Turin. The Flying Donkeys had taken the lead through Perparim Hetemaj and were only pegged back by a debatable Dybala penalty. “It was a difficult game, but Chievo only had one shot on goal and they scored,” Dybala told Mediaset Premium. In fact Gigi Buffon performed a couple of very tough saves, they hit the woodwork and had a goal disallowed. “We put in a great performance, but unfortunately bring home only one point. This team was not accustomed to picking up just one point from three games. “Now we have to focus on the Champions League game with Manchester City and will prepare for that in the best way. “I am happy to have scored again, but I am happier when the team wins.” http://www.goal.com/en-gb/tables/serie-a/13?ICID=SP_TN_127

JUVENTUS - CHIEVO 1 - 1 Perparim Hetemaj (5') Paulo Dybala (83'-P.) Saturday, September 12th, 2015 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee: Marco Guida Juventus scrape Chievo draw The Juventus crisis continues, as only a Paulo Dybala penalty earned a 1-1 draw with surprise outfit Chievo. http://www.football-italia.net/SerieA/match/69845 Sep 12, 2015 Remarkably this was a top to tail fixture, but the Flying Donkeys had a 100 per cent record and the Old Lady were propping up the table after two defeats. It was their worst ever Serie A start to a season, but Max Allegri rested several stars ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League trip to Manchester City. Hernanes and Alex Sandro made their Bianconeri debuts, while Patrice Evra sat out a ban. Chievo had beaten Juve only once in the top flight, 1-0 in January 2010, from 24 previous meetings. Nonetheless, they took the shock lead in Turin after just five minutes. The defence backed off and allowed Perparim Hetemaj time and space to pick his spot, blasting into the far bottom corner from the edge of the box. Incredibly it was his first goal in Serie A for over four years, since April 2011. Hernanes stung Albano Bizzarri’s gloves and Leo Bonucci came sliding in a fraction too late to tap in Roberto Pereyra’s cross-shot at the back post. Pereyra also ballooned over after a Hetemaj fresh-air clearance on Alex Sandro, as did Paulo Dybala when slipping. Chievo didn’t sit back and Riccardo Meggiorini fired over, while Hernanes was booked for simulation. Claudio Marchisio returned after more than a month out injured and looked very rusty, scuffing several good opportunities. Juventus were jeered off the field at half-time and Gigi Buffon asked the fans to be supportive rather than insulting. There was an odd change of tactics for the second half, as Paul Pogba replaced Marchisio, but Hernanes went into a playmaker role with Pereyra as trequartista. It really should’ve been 2-0 for Chievo on 51 minutes, but Buffon performed an incredible save from point-blank range to palm Bostjan Cesar’s volley on to the upright. Juventus went very close to an equaliser with a triple chance, as Pereyra’s low drive thumped the base of the post, then Pogba’s follow-up was charged down and Dybala fired the rebound over. Pogba had penalty appeals for a Dario Dainelli shirt tug, then Chievo saw a goal disallowed for Cesar’s manhandling of Leo Bonucci as he volleyed in from a free kick, though they both had a handful of jersey. Juan Guillermo Cuadrado had a great chance with his first touch, only to hesitate and be closed down, while Bizzarri again beat away a Hernanes screamer from distance. Hernanes curled a wonderful free kick over the wall and it dipped viciously, but Bizzarri fingertipped it out from under the bar. There was more controversy when the referee at first hesitated, but then awarded a penalty on advice from his assistants. Cuadrado burst into the box and appeared to be running out of room when he went down over a Cesar sliding challenge. The Colombian appeared to look for the contact. Nonetheless, Dybala fired into the near top corner to draw Juventus level from the spot. Juventus: Buffon; Caceres, Barzagli, Bonucci, Alex Sandro; Pereyra, Marchisio (Pogba 46), Sturaro (Cuadrado 65); Hernanes; Dybala, Morata (Mandzukic 73) Chievo: Bizzarri; Frey, Gamberini (Dainelli 58), Cesar, Gobbi; Castro, Rigoni, Hetemaj; Birsa (Pepe 73); Paloschi, Meggiorini (Pinzi 66) Ref: Guida http://www.goal.com/en-gb/tables/serie-a/13?ICID=SP_TN_127

JUVENTUS - CHIEVO 1 - 1 Perparim Hetemaj (5') Paulo Dybala (83'-P.) Saturday, September 12th, 2015 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee: Marco Guida Late equaliser rescues Juventus against AC Chievo Verona http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/juventus/result/result-juventus-score-late-equaliser-against-chievo_245759.html Sep 12, 2015 Juventus have come from behind to draw 1-1 with AC Chievo Verona in Serie A. The deadlock was broken after just five minutes when Perparim Hetemaj fired past Gianluigi Buffon from the edge of the area. Alvaro Morata had a chance to equalise five minutes later. His long-range effort was headed towards the top left corner but Albano Bizzarri made a diving save to deflect the ball behind. Roberto Pereyra then shot wide for Juve, before Paulo Dybala struck over the crossbar. Stefano Sturaro had another chance to equalise on the half-hour mark, but headed narrowly over from a Pereyra corner. Two minutes before the break, Claudio Marchisio sent a volley wide of the left post. Seven minutes after half time, Valter Birsa's shot from inside the six-yard box was stopped by Buffon. Pereyra then hit the post from the edge of the box on the hour mark, and Paul Pogba could only put the rebound over the bar. Hernanes was next to go for goal nine minutes later, but Bizzarri tipped the shot round the right post. Juventus scored an equaliser with just six minutes to spare when Hernanes was pulled down in the area. Dybala stepped up and put the penalty into the top right corner. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/tables/serie-a/13?ICID=SP_TN_127

JUVENTUS - CHIEVO 1 - 1 Perparim Hetemaj (5') Paulo Dybala (83'-P.) Saturday, September 12th, 2015 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee: Marco Guida Juventus 1-1 Chievo: Late Dybala penalty earns Allegri's men a point The 21-year-old converted from 12 yards to ensure that the Serie A champions were not defeated on Saturday, with Perparim Hetemaj having opened the scoring early on. http://www.goal.com/en/match/juventus-vs-chievo/2120401/report Sep 12, 2015 Champions Juventus finally got on the board in Serie A this season on Saturday but once again failed to convince in a 1-1 draw against surprise high-flyers Chievo. Paulo Dybala netted an 84th-minute penalty to cancel out Perparim Hetemaj's early opener but Massimiliano Allegri's team could have been further behind at that stage. Gianluigi Buffon kept out Bostjan Cesar early in the second half with a remarkable reaction save and the Chievo defender had another effort ruled out when he was adjudged to have fouled Leonardo Bonucci. Allegri, who oversaw defeats to Udinese and Roma in the opening two games of the season, left star midfielder Paul Pogba on the bench with an eye on Tuesday's Champions League trip to Manchester City. The France international produced an energetic second-half performance but it looked to be in vain before the unfortunate Cesar brought down fellow sub Juan Cuadrado. Chievo return to the top of Serie A, while Juve remain in unfamiliarly lowly company. Flushed with confidence from their emphatic 4-0 win over Lazio last time out, Chievo began with plenty of ambition and were quickly rewarded. Valter Birsa's cross from the left struck Juventus defender Andrea Barzagli and fell invitingly for Hetemaj, who rifled an unerring shot across Buffon and into the bottom right corner from 22 yards – his first goal for the club he joined from Brescia in 2011. It provided an early jolt for Juventus debutants Alex Sandro and Hernanes, who combined for the latter to draw a fine save from Albano Bizzarri with a long-range effort. Roberto Pereyra sent a low curling effort past the far post that Bonucci narrowly failed to make contact with and the Argentina winger snatched badly at a 13th-minute chance when Hetemaj botched a clearance. Juventus forward Dybala blazed an acrobatic attempt over in the 20th minute before a horrible touch from Bonucci almost let Riccardo Meggiorini in to double Chievo's advantage. Pereyra crossed for Stefano Sturaro to head over in the 31st minute and Juventus were unable to redeem a ragged first-half display. Allegri had seen enough to send Pogba on in place of the Claudio Marchisio for the second period but the hosts were soon indebted to a truly astonishing piece of goalkeeping from Buffon. Cesar swivelled to volley goalwards from eight yards after Juventus failed to deal with a 52nd-minute set-piece, catching the shot sweetly, only to see the veteran Italy star thrust out his right hand and push the ball to safety. Five minutes later Chievo enjoyed a miraculous escape of their own, with Pereyra striking the base of the post before Nicolas Frey magnificently blocked Pogba's follow up. Pogba had penalty claims rejected when substitute Dario Dainelli grasped a handful of his shirt before Cesar was questionably penalised for a similar infringement The Chievo man converted a 62nd-minute corner but fell foul of the officials despite himself and Bonucci grasping one another's jerseys. Frey made another timely intervention as Juventus sub Cuadrado burst towards goal before Hernanes met his match in Bizzarri twice more. The visitors' brave resistance was finally broken when Cesar brought down Cuadrado with minimal contact and Dybala smashed home emphatically to barely spare the blushes of the champions. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/tables/serie-a/13?ICID=SP_TN_127

JUVENTUS - CHIEVO - Saturday, September 12th, 2015 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee: Marco Guida Line-ups: Juventus-Chievo http://www.football-italia.net/72887/line-ups-juventus-chievo? Sep 12, 2015 Juventus start Hernanes and Alex Sandro as they host surprise Serie A leaders Chievo in a top to tail clash. It kicks off at 20.45 CET. The Bianconeri won the last four Scudetti, lifted the Coppa Italia and reached the Champions League Final. However, this has been their worst ever Serie A start, falling to two consecutive defeats against Udinese and Roma. Incredibly, Juve are propping up the table while Chievo sit on top with a 100 per cent record. The Flying Donkeys are also top scorers, thanks mainly to a 4-0 demolition job on Lazio last time out. Hernanes arrived on deadline day from Inter in a deal worth €11m and he’s thrown straight into the starting XI as the trequartista Max Allegri was looking for. Claudio Marchisio is back after more than a month out injured, but Sami Khedira and Kwadwo Asamoah are still unavailable. Patrice Evra was sent off against Roma and is therefore suspended along with third choice goalkeeper Rubinho. This gives Alex Sandro the chance to make his first Serie A start at left-back. Alvaro Morata creates a new strike partnership with Paulo Dybala, while Paul Pogba, Giorgio Chiellini, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Mario Mandzukic are rested ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League showdown with Manchester City. Chievo have almost a full squad to choose from, only missing Ivan Radovanovic and Mariano Izco. Alberto Paloschi is partnered by Riccardo Meggiorini, whose incredible back-heel flick assist from a corner against Lazio did the Vine rounds. Juventus: Buffon; Caceres, Barzagli, Bonucci, Alex Sandro; Pereyra, Marchisio, Sturaro; Hernanes; Dybala, Morata Juventus bench: Neto, Audero, Lichtsteiner, Rugani, Chiellini, Padoin, Lemina, Pogba, Cuadrado, Zaza, Mandzukic Chievo: Bizzarri; Frey, Gamberini, Cesar, Gobbi; Castro, Rigoni, Hetemaj; Birsa; Paloschi, Meggiorini Chievo bench: Bressan, Seculin, Sardo, Mattiello, Dainelli, Cacciatore, Christiansen, Pinzi, Pepe, Mpoku, Inglese, Pellissier http://www.goal.com/en-gb/tables/serie-a/13?ICID=SP_TN_127

JUVENTUS - CHIEVO - Saturday, September 12th, 2015 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee: Marco Guida Juventus vs. Chievo: Projected Lineups http://www.blackwhitereadallover.com/2015/9/12/9314485/juventus-vs-chievo-verona-projected-lineups-serie-a-round-3 Sep 12, 2015 When Juventus took the field the first two games of the 2015-16 Serie A season, it's safe to say that their roster wasn't exactly full strength. Injuries had pretty much taken away any kind of depth Juve's new-look squad had, and many of those new faces hadn't yet either played much at all or made much of an impact to really make a difference. Ah, but there's a difference two weeks later. A good kind of difference, too. Injuries are starting to go away, those players who were signed in the summer to fill needs and now Max Allegri has probably reached a point where he can let them loose and truly see how they fit into the Juventus puzzle going forward. Yes, that season is only two games deep, but compare Juventus' roster from then to the one that is here now. Hey, there's an actual trequartista around now! And, look! There's actually depth in the center of the midfield again! Healthy defenders! Amazing! This is madness. Good things are happening on paper. See, things are already getting better around these parts and they haven't even stepped onto the Juventus Stadium field yet. But now the question is, what is Allegri going to do with all these options? We know Claudio Marchisio is back in the starting lineup today against Chievo because Allegri has told us so. We know that means no Simone Padoin starting as a holding midfielder and, in turn, Juventus' midfield looking a whole lot better than it did two weeks ago in Rome. Let's see if Allegri has another other answers for us... JuventusFC ✔ @juventusfcen .@OfficialAllegri: "In defence tomorrow night, I'm looking at putting in @andreabarzagli2 and Alex Sandro from the start." Okay, so we basically knew that Alex Sandro part already seeing as Patrice Evra is suspended after being sent off against Roma two weekends ago. But having Barzagli in the mix, well, that's a little bit of a surprise considering Giorgio Chiellini is fit and has essentially played just about every time he has been fit under Allegri. Who knows how much having Barzagli is there to help Alex Sandro acclimate to the Juventus defense. I'm sure there's something to it considering Giorgio Chiellini has a knack for being a wild and crazy guy in defense from time to time. These are the things that Allegri can do with a (almost) healthy squad at his disposal. As much as we would probably want him to keep a relatively constant starting lineup during these times where the games are important even though it's September and October, he can tinker and rotate to keep those vitally important players fresh when the opportunity knocks. He was quick to point out just how many days are in between games these days with the Champions League starting up midweek. (THE CHAMPIOOOOOONS!!!) Or maybe Max will just go with a 3-5-2 because he loves rage on the internet. Wouldn't that be interesting. (Warning: We here at BWRAO don't truly know if Max Allegri likes internet rage and haven't checked his Twitter mentions much at all lately. So if he doesn't like seeing his account get blown up with complaints about his starting lineup, we still need confirmation of it.) Projected Lineups Juventus XI (4-3-1-2): Gianluigi Buffon; Stephan Lichtsteiner, Leonardo Bonucci, Andrea Barzagli, Alex Sandro; Roberto Pereyra, Claudio Marchisio, Paul Pogba; Hernanes; Paul Dybala, Álvaro Morata Chievo XI (4-3-1-2): Albano Bizzarri; Nicolas Frey, Alessandro Gamberini, Boštjan Cesar, Massimo Gobbi; Lucas Castro, Nicola Rigoni, Përparim Hetemaj; Valter Birsa; Alberto Paloschi, Riccardo Meggiorini http://www.goal.com/en-gb/tables/serie-a/13?ICID=SP_TN_127

Man City trio doubt for Juventus http://www.football-italia.net/72879/man-city-trio-doubt-juventus? Sep 12, 2015 Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Raheem Sterling are all doubts for Manchester City’s Champions League clash with Juventus. The two teams face off in England on Tuesday night. Aguero limped off just 25 minutes into today’s Premier League match against Crystal Palace after a high tackle from Scott Dann. The Argentine was in evident pain and sat on the bench with an ice pack on his knee. David Silva had already been ruled out of this game with an ankle injury. Meanwhile, Sterling was a surprise late absentee following a ‘minor’ training ground knock.

JUVENTUS - CHIEVO - Saturday, September 12th, 2015 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee: Marco Guida Juventus vs. Chievo Preview: Round 3 — Let's try this thing again ... again http://www.blackwhitereadallover.com/2015/9/12/9231055/juventus-vs-chievo-verona-serie-a-round-3-preview-team-news-schedule Sep 12, 2015 Through two weeks, the Serie A table looks kind of ... not what we expected it to look like. Glance down at who is in first place, who is in second place and then who is sitting in 17th. That's what you can unpredictable. There are also probably a few more words we all want to use to describe this, but we can keep those to ourselves for now. See? That's not what we were expecting. Round 3 of the 2015-16 Serie A season sees the team that absolutely nobody expected to be atop the league table after two rounds face the team that absolutely everybody expected to be atop the league table, not sitting all of one point above the drop zone. Sometimes the narrative just writes itself. (Hey, do some work, you lazy journalist!) Juventus' opening two rounds didn't go as anybody hoped they would. Well, those of us who root for Juventus, that is. I'm sure the rest of Serie A is loving the fact that Juve are where they are through the first two rounds of the season. "Ha, those jerks have been in first place for so long they're getting a taste of their own medicine!" is what some might say. Or they're thinking something completely non-family-friendly entirely. It's also a pretty darn beginning to post-international break play for Chievo, who face Inter, Torino and Sassuolo before the Derby della Scala against Hellas Verona on Oct. 3. But this is a Juventus blog so we will focus on the team we always focus on. With how many new pieces to the puzzle there are, it wasn't going to immediately click for Max Allegri and his squad. But, at the same time, it's not like all those new parts were playing in Juve's first two games this season. Yes, we saw Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala, we got a debut from Juan Cuadrado, but we also had SImone Padoin playing in the center of the midfield and a good amount of injuries that caused PadoMania to happen in the first place. Let's just hope all of that was sooooo two weeks ago. Saturday brings us just your average day when first place meets 17th place. Except we pretty much didn't expect first place to be in first place, or 17th place to be in 17th place. So maybe not so average. Ah, Serie A, you never disappoint with your uniqueness and unpredictability. GOOD NEWS Federico Mattiello is part of Chievo's traveling squad to face Juventus. This is not just good news, this is great news considering the kind of injury he suffered earlier in the year. Welcome (almost fully) back, kid. BAD NEWS JUVENTUS IS IN 17TH PLACE AFTER TWO GAMES PANIC. WHAT TO WATCH FOR 1. How Juventus come out of the international break. We know how Juve went into the international break — stumbling in their first two games of the season and going 0 for 6 when it comes to claiming points available. No, two games won't dictate how the entire season will go, but it's not like Allegri's squad wowed us against Udinese or Roma. So what are they going to look like two weeks after their craptastic showing at the Stadio Olimpico? That's the million dollar question, boys and girls. What we do know is this Juventus squad is going to look a little different than the one that played Roma. Alex Sandro is going to get his first Juve start with Patrice Evra being suspended. Hernanes is also expected to make his Juventus debut after signing with the club on deadline day. Does that mean a switch to Allegri's favorite 4-3-1-2 formation turn the tide on Juventus' early-season success? For the sake of change, I sure hope so. 2. Alex Sandro's impact. Slowly working in a new signing isn't a foreign concept since Allegri took over as Juventus manager. But with Evra being shown red against Roma, Juventus' €26 million man is going to be getting his first start at the club no matter what. We know all the qualities that Alex Sandro possesses — he can run like hell, he can cross, he can continue to develop into one heck of a left back and make us all forget about how much Juve spent on him. The perfect scenario would be to see Alex Sandro flying up and down the left wing sending in picture-perfect crosses and just living up to the lofty billing he arrives from Porto with. The best thing is that he's been able to stay in Turin during the international break and work with Allegri and his new teammates. (Well, the ones not away on international duty, that is.) That will certainly help him settle in even if he isn't completely set within Juventus' squad. 3. Claudio Marchisio's impact. Can I just say that I've missed you, Claudio? Because I really have missed you. With all due respect to Padoin and the effort he put in to try and fill Marchisio's shoes, the quality in Juventus' midfield has just gone up quite a lot. Like, a welcome change, for one. Now that Marchisio is back in the starting lineup — something that Allegri was happy to let us know about during his pre-match press conference on Friday — Juventus' midfield will begin to look whole again. That's because Marchisio will be in the center of it all and playing in a position where he was better than Andrea Pirlo last season. And you know what will stop all of the talk of "Can Juventus replace Andrea Pirlo in the center of it's midfield?" that match announcers have been trotting out the first two weeks of the season? The man who is playing the same position bringing the kind of stability and class to the position that he did a season ago. 4. Can Paul Pogba look like Paul Pogba again? The last time we saw Pogba in a Juventus jersey he was maybe as visibly frustrated on the field as we've ever seen him. He was yelling at himself, he was yelling at teammates, he was obviously feeling the heat with his team struggling to do much of anything at all. But the return of Marchisio obviously means that Pogba won't have to feel the brunt of the responsibility in Juventus' midfield, and hopefully free Pogba up to do more Pogba things that we're used to. I mean, there's no doubting that Pogba will be under pressure regardless of who is playing next to him in midfield — he's wearing the No. 10 now, he's arguably the best young player in the world. But that's the norm for Pogba now. And the hope is now that he does a little less screaming at his teammates and a little more sending of screaming shots into the back of the net. My starting XI (4-3-1-2): Buffon; Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Barzagli, Alex Sandro; Sturaro, Marchisio, Pogba; Hernanes; Dybala, Morata http://www.goal.com/en-gb/tables/serie-a/13?ICID=SP_TN_127

JUVENTUS - CHIEVO - Saturday, September 12th, 2015 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee: Marco Guida Juventus must shrug off two straight defeats and rebound vs. Chievo http://www.espnfc.co.uk/club/juventus/111/blog/post/2606215/juventus-can-rebound-with-win-vs-chievo? Sep 11, 2015 On Saturday night against Chievo Verona, Juventus's season will start. With Claudio Marchisio recovered from injury and a little more time afforded to the squad to work together as a unit, better judgements and assessments can be made as to whether or not the Old Lady is still a formidable force. While critics continue to discuss Juve's decision to allow three team leaders (Carlos Tevez, Andrea Pirlo, Arturo Vidal) to depart and the impact that has had on the squad, against Chievo we will see whether certain purchases have what it takes to make us forget those who departed. Paulo Dybala is set to make his second start of the season and for the first time, it's likely he will be paired with Alvaro Morata. Many expect this to be the perfect partnership going forward and if the Spaniard has truly recovered from his flu, perhaps they can demonstrate the potential of such a partnership. With Patrice Evra suspended, this will also be a chance to see how well Alex Sandro can do on the left. He's a full-back likened to Roberto Carlos but with an even more accurate cross. With so many players likely to benefit from his deliveries, one hopes he can provide the width and strike the synergy required with those ahead of him to repay of a club that spent much of their transfer budget (€26 million) on him. Yet despite the many stars that will feature, the one everyone is desperate to watch is Hernanes, dubbed the best trequartista in the league by former Bianconero, Angelo Di Livio. Providing the creativity the side has desperately lacked since Pirlo's departure, the Brazilian is desperate to make an impression and help his side reclaim their dominating presence in the league. Likely to start behind the front two, Hernanes will need to inject ingenuity to release the forwards but also work on a defensive level to ensure the team has the same balance it honed last season. The Flying Donkeys have had a terrific start to the season, smashing Lazio and beating Empoli. Particularly effective from set-pieces, they've scored seven goals in two games. While they have tormented their first two opponents, they are a side with many weaknesses and will face a Juve team desperate to return to winning ways. Rolando Maran has done well to work on his players' confidence and is implementing many of the ideas that made him an initial success with Catania. Much like his former team, little importance is placed on ball possession. Instead, Maran wants a fast game based on one-touch football that effectively exploits his team's natural pace. It is for this reason that the likes of Hernanes must remain focused and help on both sides of the ball. Without Vidal available to press and win back possession high up the pitch, Stefano Sturaro will need a perfect performance, such as the one he offered against Real Madrid in last season's Champions League. With Marchisio back to offer his leadership skills, one hopes he can inspire Paul Pogba to perform to expectations while organising Juve's midfield. Another department that will need a helping hand is the defence. Juve's back line were so effective last season because they had support from everyone ahead of them. In the first two games this year, they have often been exposed, conceding unusual goals; it's vital everyone pulls their weight to ensure a solid performance. Forwards must track back and play sensibly to ensure that Chievo can't win set pieces in dangerous areas. Juventus impressed in most of their matches preceding a Champions League fixture last season, collecting several wins. Those successes helped them better prepare for the European challenges, building the confidence required to play organised games against better quality opponents. The same must happen again now as Manchester City await midweek, in superb form and ready to prove they belong with Europe's elite. A great result against Chievo will go a long way in responding to Juve's critics and in raising their self esteem. Now is the time to return to winning ways. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/tables/serie-a/13?ICID=SP_TN_127

Juventus turn a profit http://www.football-italia.net/72838/juventus-turn-profit? Sep 11, 2015 Juventus have turned a profit after six years, gained €19.7m on the transfer market, but invested in “an adequate technical and generational turnover.” The Bianconeri announced their balance sheet for the 2014-15 financial year, which showed a profit of €2.3m. Last year they had run at a loss of €6.7m, but the excellent sporting results – winning the Scudetto, Coppa Italia and reaching the Champions League Final – boosted income. The Juventus Stadium is also bringing in more and more money, as the cost of construction has now been paid off. However, they now invest heavily in the Continassa Project, building a hotel, training camp and other facilities near the Juventus Stadium. Operating income improved from a profit of €0.1m to €10.8m, while the net financial debt dropped to €188.9m from €206m a year ago. The disposals and terminations of player-sharing agreements generated net capital gains of €19.7m. Money was saved by terminating contracts early by mutual consent for Sebastian Giovinco, Marco Motta, Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente. “During the first phase of the Transfer Campaign of the 2015-16 financial year, the Company earmarked significant resources to ensure an adequate technical and generational turnover of the First Team’s bench and keep talented players on staff,” read the Press release. “As a consequence, the operating result, currently expected to be a loss, will be influenced by increases in costs relating to sports management and the changes, also with respect to future revenues, that will derive from the sporting results actually achieved in Italy and Europe. “The Company’s goal is to consolidate the substantial equilibrium of operating profit achieved in the previous year.”

JUVENTUS - CHIEVO - Saturday, September 12th, 2015 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee: Marco Guida MATCH PREVIEW http://www.football-italia.net/SerieA/match/preview/69845 Sep 11, 2015 It’s top versus bottom - with the expected roles reversed - as Juventus host Chievo looking to grab all three points after their worst-ever start to a Serie A season. The Bianconeri struggled to assert themselves and create scoring chances against Roma last round, conceding most of the possession to their opponents and managing only three shots on target. Despite the coach’s insistence that they are “not in crisis,” it’s been a worrying start for Max Allegri’s men, as they’ve looked flat and unmotivated in their first two matches of the season and duly have no points to show for it. Alex Sandro steps in for the suspended Patrice Evra for the visit of the Flying Donkeys, after the Frenchman was sent off against Roma for a second bookable offence. Look for Stephan Lichtsteiner to get forward often down the right side and provide width and crosses for the forwards. New signing Hernanes is likely to make his debut in the middle of the pitch and provide creative impetus just behind Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala, who scored Juve’s only goal against Roma. Claudio Marchisio could make his first start for the Old Lady after recovering from a muscle injury suffered during the later part of the summer. Leonardo Bonucci pairs Giorgio Chiellini at the back, and the two Italians will try record their first clean sheet of the season in front of Gianluigi Buffon. Chievo will try to win their third game on the trot and get off to their best-ever Serie A start. The Flying Donkeys currently sit top of the table and have scored seven goals already, after managing only 28 for all of last season. Expect Rolando Maran to name his preferred 4-4-2 formation with few changes from the past two weeks. Riccardo Meggiorini will start up top, fresh off providing an early assist-of-the-season contender for Alberto Paloschi against Lazio last week. “If Totti had done that, people would’ve talked about it for months,” Meggiorini told reporters after the match, and it will be tough for him to top that effort against a hungry Juventus side. Paloschi will join Meggiorini in an attacking pair that had some success at the end of last season, with Valter Birsa and new signing Lucas Castro providing the width. Birsa and Meggiorini are the only players in Serie A to have notched a goal and an assist in both of their first two games. At the back, Dario Dainelli and Bostjan Cesar anchor one of the league’s best defensive units from last term, with Massimo Gobbi joining from Parma and starting on the left side opposite veteran Nicolas Frey. Juventus should dominate possession, but Chievo’s confidence is high and they could cause problems on set pieces, so there could be several goals on hand at the Juventus Arena on Saturday. Keep an eye on: Paulo Dybala (Juventus): With a goal against Roma, Dybala has been one of the few bright spots in a dismal start to Juve’s campaign. The Old Lady paid an initial fee of €32m for the bright young Argentine, and he’ll have huge boots to fill after the departure of Carlos Tevez to Boca Juniors. Still, with pace, superb control and a remarkable ability to notch both goals and assists, Dybala can give Dainelli and Cesar plenty of trouble on Saturday. Form Guide: Juventus (- - - L L) Chievo (- - - W W) Last Season: Juventus 2-0 Chievo Stat Fact: Juventus have only ever lost once to Chievo in 24 matches, a 1-0 result in Verona on January 17, 2010. Juventus (probable): Buffon; Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Chiellini, Alex Sandro; Sturaro, Marchisio, Pogba; Hernanes; Mandzukic, Dybala Suspended: Evra, Rubinho Chievo (probable): Bizzarri; Frey, Dainelli, Cesar, Gobbi; Birsa, Rigoni, Hetemaj, Castro; Paloschi, Meggiorini Suspended: None http://www.goal.com/en-gb/tables/serie-a/13?ICID=SP_TN_127

JUVENTUS - CHIEVO - Saturday, September 12th, 2015 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee: Marco Guida Maran: Juventus Will Be A Fascinating Challenge http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2015/09/maran-juventus-will-be-a-fascinating-challenge/? Sep 11, 2015 Chievo coach Rolando Maran has said his side will not just lie down in their away fixture against Juventus this weekend. The Gialloblu have had an amazing start to the season winning both of their opening two games and are currently top of the Serie A table. “We do not start beaten and we will not play a defensive game.” said Maran at pre-match press conference. “It will be a beautiful and fascinating challenge which we will try to play in the best way. “Juventus are without a point just to add to the randomness of the situation, but with such a strong squad they can quickly recover the ground they’ve lost in these two games.” The former Catania coach also made clear his side will take nothing for granted. “The six points will not let us get ahead of ourselves,” said Maran. “Do not ask me about tactics as I will not take anything for granted and I will take all the time necessary to decide calmly. “It’s still early, but I have it in mind.” http://www.goal.com/en-gb/tables/serie-a/13?ICID=SP_TN_127
