NAPOLI - JUVENTUS - Sunday, January 11th, 2015 - 20:45 PM San Paolo Stadium, Naples Referee: Paolo Tagliavento HT 0-1: Pogboom stuns Napoli Jan 11, 2014 A stunning Paul Pogba volley has given Juventus the half-time lead away to Napoli. It was fourth against first, but also a replay of the December 22 Italian Super Cup clash in Doha. That saw the Partenopei fight back twice for a 2-2 draw in extra time, eventually lifting the trophy on penalties. Manolo Gabbiadini was on the bench awaiting his debut, but Lorenzo Insigne, Michu, Juan Camilo Zuniga and Faouzi Ghoulam unavailable. Stephan Lichtsteiner pulled out with a fitness problem, so Martin Caceres got his first start in over three months. Kwadwo Asamoah, Andrea Barzagli and Romulo were all sidelined. There was a touching tribute to Neapolitan singer-songwriter Pino Daniele before kick-off, as the teams came out to the sounds of ‘Napule’ with the crowd singing along and holding up lighters. Juve had won five of their previous six competitive games and hadn’t conquered the San Paolo since September 2000. Despite being the home side, Napoli invited Juventus forward to then strike on the counter-attack. Jonathan de Guzman really should’ve scored when a Marek Hamsik pass broke kindly for him, but ballooned over from 12 yards. Carlos Tevez set up Arturo Vidal on the counter, but the Chilean’s first touch let him down, but the deadlock was broken with a moment of magic. Fernando Llorente was trying to turn in the box, but it was deflected to Paul Pogba and the 21-year-old did not hesitate for a spectacular volley from just inside the area. It was not dissimilar to the goal Zinedine Zidane scored in the Champions League Final and bent back Rafael’s fingertips. The Frenchman has a habit of scoring against Napoli, as it was his third goal in five encounters. Andrea Pirlo and Hamsik had shots charged down, while Rafael smothered a Caceres angled drive at the near post from Tevez’s slide-rule pass. Napoli 0-1 Juventus (Half-Time) Scorers: Pogba 29 (J) Napoli: Rafael; Maggio, Albiol, Koulibaly, Britos; David Lopez, Gargano; Callejon, Hamsik, De Guzman; Higuain Juventus: Buffon; Caceres, Bonucci, Chiellini, Evra; Marchisio, Pirlo, Pogba; Vidal; Tevez, Llorente Ref: Tagliavento http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

NAPOLI - JUVENTUS - Sunday, January 11th, 2015 - 20:45 PM San Paolo Stadium, Naples Referee: Paolo Tagliavento Line-ups: Napoli-Juventus Jan 11, 2014 Juventus need at least a point to stay clear at the top and seek Super Cup revenge at fourth-placed Napoli. Roma drew 2-2 with Lazio in a dramatic Derby della Capitale earlier today, putting them level on points with leaders Juve. Max Allegri’s men have drawn five of their last six games in all competition, including a 2-2 draw in Doha after extra time with Napoli. They had been leading twice in that Italian Super Cup clash, but were pegged back by a Gonzalo Higuain brace and eventually lost on a penalty shoot-out. Pipita starts again tonight with Marek Hamsik, Jose Callejon and Jonathan de Guzman, while new signing Manolo Gabbiadini – an ex-Juve player – is on the bench ready for his Partenopei debut. Lorenzo Insigne, Juan Camilo Zuniga and Michu are long-term injury absentees with Faouzi Ghoulam on Africa Cup of Nations duty. The history of this fixture does not bode well for Juventus, who have not conquered the Stadio San Paolo since September 2000. Juve again rely on Carlos Tevez, who is Capocannoniere of Serie A with 11 goals this season and scored two in the Super Cup last month. He is partnered by Fernando Llorente, but the big news is that Stephan Lichtsteiner has failed a fitness test. With the Swiss Express missing out on that right flank, Martin Caceres makes his first start in three months. It’s a risky choice considering his fitness levels, but there are few alternatives, as Kwadwo Asamoah, Andrea Barzagli and Romulo are all injured. Napoli: Rafael; Maggio, Albiol, Koulibaly, Britos; David Lopez, Gargano; Callejon, Hamsik, De Guzman; Higuain Napoli bench: Andujar, Colombo, Henrique, Duvan Zapata, Gabbiadini, Mesto, Jorginho, Inler, Radosevic, Strinic, Mertens Juventus: Buffon; Caceres, Bonucci, Chiellini, Evra; Marchisio, Pirlo, Pogba; Vidal; Tevez, Llorente Juventus bench: Storari, Rubinho, Lichtsteiner, Ogbonna, Pepe, Padoin, Vitale, Pereyra, Mattiello, Morata, Coman, Giovinco http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

Marotta: 'No major Juve buys' Jan 11, 2015 Juventus director Beppe Marotta insists there will be “no major signings” in the transfer window, including Neto. The director general spoke to Sky Sport Italia ahead of tonight’s big Serie A match against Napoli. “Tonight the performance will be more important than the points, as we must react after the Super Cup defeat in Doha. There’s a long way to go this season and it’s not decisive, but in terms of confidence it could be.” Marotta was asked about transfer gossip, including a proposed bid for Fiorentina outcast goalkeeper Norberto Neto. “The January window is to repair squads and we do not need repairing. We will only see if there are any good opportunities. We thought Wesley Sneijder was an opportunity, but when Galatasaray put the veto on this move we looked elsewhere. “We are not in talks for Neto. In defence there have been some recent injuries, but Caceres is recovered and Barzagli is on his way back. “Do I deny interest in Rolando and Mkhitaryan? I won’t deny or confirm, they are just hypotheses.”

NAPOLI - JUVENTUS - Sunday, January 11th, 2015 - 20:45 PM San Paolo Stadium, Naples Referee: Paolo Tagliavento Llorente: 'Super Cup revenge' Jan 11, 2014 Fernando Llorente sees tonight’s trip to Napoli as “a great opportunity” for Juventus to wipe out the Super Cup. They also faced off in Doha on December 22, the Partenopei winning the Italian Super Cup on penalties after a 2-2 draw in extra time. “This is a great opportunity to reply to what happened in the Super Cup. If we win tonight, it will be an important step forward in the League, especially after Roma drew,” Llorente told Sky Sport Italia. “We know of the difficulties involved in playing at the San Paolo, but we are a strong side and have to prove it.” Roma fought back from 2-0 down to hold Lazio 2-2 in the Derby della Capitale today and as things stand are on a par with Juve at the top of the table. “Ultimately we focus only on our own performances. If we play to our best in every game, then I believe we are the best side.” Juventus have drawn five of their last six competitive matches, but Llorente looks on the bright side. “We are drawing a few too many games, but it’s also good not to lose. At the end of the day those can be important points.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

NAPOLI - JUVENTUS - Sunday, January 11th, 2015 - 20:45 PM San Paolo Stadium, Naples Referee: Paolo Tagliavento Hamsik: 'Napoli can beat Juve again' Jan 11, 2014 Marek Hamsik feels Napoli “can do it again” with Juventus tonight after the Super Cup triumph in Doha. These two sides faced off in Dubai on December 22 and the Partenopei lifted the trophy after a 2-2 draw, winning on penalties. “It taught us that if we play like that, we can win. Juventus are the best team in Italy, but we have beaten them already this season and can do it again,” Hamsik told Sky Sport Italia. This is also a battle between fourth and first, potentially allowing Napoli back into the Scudetto race. “If we win, then we’ll be third and the top of the table will close up, but we know it won’t be easy. “We all have to give 100 per cent in this game, as it’s the only way to win. “We just have to focus on this match and then we’ll see what happens. This is always an important tie for the fans and the city.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

NAPOLI - JUVENTUS - Sunday, January 11th, 2015 - 20:45 PM San Paolo Stadium, Naples Referee: Paolo Tagliavento Marchisio Warns Of Napoli Attack Jan 11, 2014 Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio has said his side must stay focused when they travel to Napoli. La Vecchia Signora visit the Stadio San Pauolo on Sunday evening, and Marchisio has warned that if they make any mistakes it will be costly. “Napoli have a great attack and playing them at home will be difficult,” the 28-year-old Italian told Sky Sport Italia. “We must be focused and not make any mistakes at all.” Marchisio also commented on fellow Italian Manolo Gabbiadini’s recent move from Sampdoria to Napoli. “Gabbiadini has grown a lot, he did very well at Sampdoria and now has a new adventure ahead of him.” The 23-year-old, who was co-owned by Juventus, signed for Napoli for €13 million in the January transfer window. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

NAPOLI - JUVENTUS - Sunday, January 11th, 2015 - 20:45 PM San Paolo Stadium, Naples Referee: Paolo Tagliavento Napoli - Juventus Betting: Expect goals at both ends at the San Paolo With the Bianconeri defence leaking like never before and the Rafa Benitez's men a forced to be reckoned with in front of their own fans, Al Hain-Cole expects both to find the net. Jan 11, 2014 Napoli will be hoping to close the gap on leaders Juventus when the sides come face-to-face at the San Paolo in Sunday's Serie A clash. Rafa Benitez's men sit 10 points adrift of the league leaders in fourth place but came out on top when the sides met in last month's Supercoppa encounter and are available at with Unibet to emerge victorious once again. The champions travel south with just one win to their name in the last six matches in all competitions but remain favourites to collect maximum points here. Five of those six matches have resulted in draws, and you can get odds of on them playing out a second stalemate in less than a month against these opponents. The Bianconeri's recent decline in form can largely be attributed to a relaxation in the defensive standards that have otherwise served them so well, having conceded as many goals in the last four matches as they had in the previous 11. Massimiliano Allegri's men have now kept just two clean sheets in the last five matches and are up against it to improve on that record when they face a side that have put four past them in the previous two encounters. Considering the Partenopei have scored 29 goals in their last nine matches in front of their own fans, they will be feeling extremely confident of finding the net for the 12th successive home game against these opponents – a run that extends back to 1997. However, a record of just two clean sheets in their last seven matches does not look too encouraging for the hosts either, meaning action at both ends looks likely. With this in mind, odds of are not to be missed on both sides finding the net for the fifth consecutive Juventus match, and sixth in eight home matches for Napoli. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

NAPOLI - JUVENTUS - Sunday, January 11th, 2015 - 20:45 PM San Paolo Stadium, Naples Referee: Paolo Tagliavento Napoli - Juventus Preview: Marchisio calls on champions to end San Paolo hoodoo Massimiliano Allegri's men have not won at the ground since 2000 and have the bitter taste of their Supercoppa defeat still in their mouths. Jan 11, 2014 Claudio Marchisio has called on Juventus to halt their disappointing record at Napoli and defend their position at the top of Serie A. Juve have not won at Stadio San Paolo since 2000, losing on five of their seven visits since. Massimiliano Allegri's men head to Naples one point clear of Roma at the summit after being held to a 1-1 draw at home to Inter last time out, while Napoli are a further nine points adrift in fourth. Despite Juve's poor run at this weekend's hosts, Marchisio is hopeful of reversing the trend against a team who have lost just one of their last 14 matches in all competitions. "It's always difficult to play at the San Paolo and it's been a long time since we last won there," he told the club's official website. "Napoli are a great team, but we want to buck the trend and are ready to go for the win." These sides will be more than familiar to each other having met in the Supercoppa Italiana in Doha just last month. Napoli won that match on penalties after the sides were tied at 2-2 after extra time, and Juve have managed just one win from their last six fixtures in all competitions, but Marchisio has dismissed talk of a crisis at the Turin club. "We're always spoken about and that's a good thing because we're clearly out at the top and enjoying a great season," the Italy midfielder added. "It's true that we could have handled certain games in a better fashion, but any talk about physical or psychological problems is truly wide of the mark - we've always crossed the white line with the right attitude and always put in the hard yards. "There are bits and pieces to improve, but thankfully we've currently got the time to work on them. "During a season there are moments in which a team goes through peaks and troughs, but when you play such important games as the one against Napoli, everything that came before goes out the window, because you're always psychologically fired up for the encounter." Juve are not thought to have any fresh injury concerns ahead of Sunday's fixtures, with Andrea Barzagli, Kwadwo Asamoah and Romulo among their long-term absentees. Defender Martin Caceres was deemed fit enough for the bench at the Inter match in midweek, having not featured since October due to a thigh injury. Napoli, meanwhile, are easing Juan Camilo Zuniga and Lorenzo Insigne back into training after their respective injury lay-offs. OPTA FACTS These two sides have met 136 times in Serie A: Juventus lead by 61 wins to 29. Prior to last March’s 2-0 win, Napoli hadn’t beaten Juventus in Serie A in six attempts. However, Juventus’ last win at the San Paolo was back in September 2000 (2-1). Napoli won their last home game 2-0 against parma – the last time they kept consecutive clean sheets at home was in October 2013. Juventus have the conceded the fewest goals away from home this season (three). Juventus are unbeaten in their last four league fixtures, but have won only one of these. Napoli have scored the most goals from inside the box (29), while Juve have the most from outside (10). The Partenopei have scored 17 goals in the last 30 minutes of play – a league-high. NAPOLI - JUVENTUS - Sunday, January 11th, 2015 - 20:45 PM San Paolo Stadium, Naples Referee: Paolo Tagliavento Benitez: 'Napoli can repeat Doha' Jan 11, 2014 Rafa Benitez said his focus ahead of the Juventus game is ensuring Napoli “have the same desire as in the Super Cup.” “Roma and Juventus are very strong, while Lazio and other teams behind us are also doing well,” Benitez told Sky Sport Italia. “We need to stay focused on ourselves and then see where we end up.” This is the second meeting between the sides in under a month, as on December 22 Napoli fought back twice in Qatar for a 2-2 draw in extra time, eventually beating Juventus on penalties. “We have more confidence now and my only concern is to give the team that same desire to win that we had in the Super Cup in Doha. “There’s a long way to go before we reach the level I am looking for, but I see the team in good shape for this second half of the season, whatever the result against Juventus.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

NAPOLI - JUVENTUS - Sunday, January 11th, 2015 - 20:45 PM San Paolo Stadium, Naples Referee: Paolo Tagliavento Napoli vs. Juventus Preview: Round 18 So we meet again, old friend Jan 11, 2014 When Juventus coughs up lead like they did in Tuesday's Derby d'Italia against Inter, you want to see how the immediately respond. Not just respond on the field, but mentally as well. The draw against Inter was one of the more disappointing results of the season to date even though they came away with a point. They have to do all of this in one of the toughest atmospheres not named Juventus Stadium Italy has to offer. Juventus follow up their incredibly lackluster start to 2015 with a trip to the Stadio San Paolo and all the crowd noise and craziness that comes with it. It's a place where they haven't had much success at all lately, as Napoli are undefeated in their last nine home matches against Juventus. Few teams can say they've had that kind of success against Juventus in terms of overall play, let alone on their home ground. JuventusFC ✔ @juventusfcen .@OfficialAllegri: "Winning in Naples is never easy but we've got all the required quality to go there and get three points." No, it's not going to be easy, but it's something Juventus is going to have to do to get back on track. The room for error in Serie A is now gone thanks to Tuesday's draw against Inter. Juventus could very well be in second place when they take the field in Naples depending on what happens in the Rome derby earlier in the day. Not like Juventus shouldn't be motivated enough to get back on their winning ways against Napoli based on what happened in the Supercoppa a few weeks ago in Qatar, but now that they've got Roma seriously nipping at their heals is just that more reason to get three points in a heated environment. So basically don't do what happened in Doha. That would just add to the frustration, don't you think? And nobody wants to see a repeat of the Derby d'Italia again. Well, at least the second half. If Juventus want to replicate that first 45 minutes — aside from the poor finishing in front of goal — then you won't find me objecting to it. I liked that half of football. And so should you. GOOD NEWS When Juventus starts putting complete games together again, then it will be good news. Now? Nah, we're still waiting for something good to happen and Juventus to get three points. BAD NEWS Serie A standings entering Sunday: 1. Juventus, 40 points 2. Roma, 39 points Dammit, things are a lot closer than a couple of matchdays ago. (I guess I had something other than injuries to talk about. This time I wish I didn't. Not that I want Juventus players to get injured, though. So please no more injuries, guys.) WHAT TO WATCH FOR 1. Juventus and the search for a 90-minute effort. There was no middle ground for Juventus in the Derby d'Italia draw. They started out great, then they went to utter crap right before our eyes. They didn't just taper off, they completely fell apart. The attack that absolutely peppered the Inter defense seemingly vanished. The defense that kept Inter's offense quiet completely crumbled — both with individual mistakes and boneheaded errors. Juventus' opponent Sunday night is, at least on paper, entering the match on better form. Inter were basically a mixed bag of meh, while Napoli have won three out of their last four games in all competitions. And that's partly because Juventus couldn't shut the door in the Supercoppa. (Juve shouldn't do that again.) 2. Can Arturo Vidal build of his Derby d'Italia display? Arturo Vidal's Derby d'Italia was basically a microcosm of the entire game for Juventus. Absolutely fantastic in the first half, not very good at all in the second half. However, when it comes to Vidal, those kinds of first-half showings have been few and far between this season. He has struggled, obviously, but you could see his batteries were recharged over the holiday break. While it didn't carry into the second half Tuesday night, seeing Vidal be like the Vidal of old was one of the best things to happen in a first half against Inter that was filled with wonderful things. Forty-five minutes of game time isn't much of a sample size at all in the grand scheme of things, but that Inter performance is clearly something Vidal can build off of going forward. We weren't able to say that much at all before the Christmas vacation. JuventusFC ✔ @juventusfcen .@OfficialAllegri: "@kingarturo23 put in a great display against Inter, he can only get better." 3. Juventus' defense vs. Gonzalo Higuain. Let's take a quick moment to remember what Napoli's No. 1 striker did against Juventus a couple of weeks ago in the Supercoppa: Two goals, a perfect 10 rating on WhoScored, and just overall badassery. And what did the 27-year-old Argentine do in his first game of 2015? Just went ahead and scored another two goals, pushing his total to nine in Serie A this season. It's safe to say that Higuain is in some of the best form he's had all season right now, and Juventus know that firsthand from playing against him a couple of weeks ago. And while Napoli do have other attacking options that Juve need to be mindful of, Higuain is clearly the No. 1 player Max Allegri's defense should be keying in on. That's not too hard to figure out these days. 4. The Manolo Gabbiadini factor. Napoli's newest striker isn't expected to start, but at some point Gabbiadini will probably step onto the San Paolo field as a Napoli for the first time Sunday night. Where in the attack the 23-year-old Italian will plug in is obviously still to be determined, although I'd expect it to be out wide for one of Napoli's two wingers. And you know that Manolo will have a little extra special motivation to show Juventus what they are missing out on. I mean, I would, too, and I'm just a guy who thought Gabbiadini could have been a helpful piece to the puzzle even if he wasn't expected to be a big-time player. My starting XI (4-3-1-2): Buffon; Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Chiellini, Evra; Marchisio, Pirlo, Pogba; Vidal; Tévez, Llorente OFFICIAL KICKOFF TIME: 8:45 P.M. IN ITALY; 2:45 P.M. ON THE EAST COAST; 11:45 A.M. ON THE WEST COAST http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

NAPOLI - JUVENTUS - Sunday, January 11th, 2015 - 20:45 PM San Paolo Stadium, Naples Referee: Paolo Tagliavento Allegri Insists Juventus Have No Mental Issues Jan 10, 2014 Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has rushed to the defence of his side amid criticisms about their psychological frame of mind at present. The Bianconeri make the trip to the Stadio San Paolo to face Napoli on Sunday night and have come under a little fire from sections of the media for their performances of late. It was the Partenopei who handed them a penalty shootout loss in Qatar during the Supercoppa Italiana last month while they have won just one of their last four games on league duty, having had their lead at the top cut to a solitary point. However, Allegri defended his men: “There is no problem at Juventus. I prefer to look at the match on Tuesday [1-1 draw against Inter], and most games, with a glass half full approach as we were good. We committed four errors but were playing against a strong opponent. “The league season is long, it does not end until the end of May. You must be strong mentally because this league race will be in the balance until the end. We know this and have balanced ourselves accordingly. “You will have good and bad moments and were are not getting depressed over anything.” They face a tough task when they travel south given that it has been 15 years since they last left Naples with three points in the league. “We hope to change that,” the former AC Milan boss claimed. “We certainly have the credentials to do so. In Doha, we created a lot but gave them a lot of chances too which is unlike us. “We will just keep moving forward, giving our best and look to bring in the result.” Allegri also believes there is room for improvement in the performances of Arturo Vidal, reasoned that he does not see Paul Pogba as a natural trequartista and insists he is happy with the performances of Fernando Llorente’s ‘natural replacement’ Alvaro Morata. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

NAPOLI - JUVENTUS - Sunday, January 11th, 2015 - 20:45 PM San Paolo Stadium, Naples Referee: Paolo Tagliavento Napoli Coach: Win Against Juventus Can Change Our Season Jan 10, 2014 Ahead of Napoli’s match against Serie A leaders Juventus this weekend, Partenopei coach Rafael Benitez has stated that a victory could change his side’s fortunes for the season. The Spanish tactician has admitted that his side have made mistakes in previous games this season as well as saying that this match in particular could trigger numerous changes at the top of the table. “If we win, then lots of things can change,” said Benitez in his pre-match press conference. “If we do achieve a victory then we will be able to see if the side can maintain a consistent run of form. “However, before we look to the future it is important to assess what we have done previously; we have drawn and lost matches where we should not have made mistakes. “Now we must focus entirely on this match.” Benitez was also eager to praise his Slovakian midfielder Marek Hamsik, stating that he is a vital member of the Napoli team. “His performances have improved but his work-rate on the field has never been lacking,” he said. “He is the one who makes the difference for us on the field.” Lastly, Benitez was quizzed as to whether the home advantage of the Stadio San Paolo will benefit his side against the Bianconeri. “The San Paolo is the best, the fans are always with us,” he concluded. “Now they can help us make the difference at this important stage of the season.” Napoli currently sit in fourth place in the Serie A table, behind third-placed Lazio on goal difference. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

It's tough to sign great players in January, admits Allegri Wesley Sneijder's agent has made it clear the playmaker is set to stay at Galatasaray despite interest from the Italian champions. Jan 10, 2015 Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri admits it is difficult to sign top-quality players in January. The Serie A champions have been pushing to broker a deal for Galatasaray playmaker Wesley Sneijder this month but the player's agent is confident he will stay in Turkey after negotiations hit an impasse. Juve turned their attentions to Sneijder in favour of making a bid for Xherdan Shaqiri, who completed a move from Bayern Munich to Inter this week, but Allegri is adamant the chances of signing players of real quality has always been slim in the winter window. "It takes players of great value to make us stronger but it's difficult to get them in January," he told a press conference. Juventus are looking to avenge their Supercoppa Italiana defeat when they visit Napoli this weekend, and Allegri is confident they have the quality to overcome Rafa Benitez's men at the San Paolo for the first time since 2000. "Winning against Napoli is never easy but we have everything it takes to succeed," he said. "Juve must realise that during games there can be moments of difficulty, so conceding a goal is not a tragedy. "You can't change the model every week. We have our own character and will continue with this system of play. "On Tuesday [in the 1-1 draw against Inter], we compromised our own victory with four technical mistakes against a great team. We can't celebrate, but neither should we be down."

NAPOLI - JUVENTUS - Sunday, January 11th, 2015 - 20:45 PM San Paolo Stadium, Naples Referee: Paolo Tagliavento Gabbiadini set for Napoli debut Jan 10, 2014 Manolo Gabbiadini and Ivan Strinic are in the Napoli squad to face Juventus tomorrow. Gabbiadini arrived last week from Sampdoria in a €13m deal, but was unable to make his debut earlier due to suspension. He is a former Juve player, as he was co-owned by the Bianconeri and Samp until this transfer. Strinic is also looking forward to making his Partenopei debut. Juan Camilo Zuniga, Michu and Lorenzo Insigne are still injured with Faouzi Ghoulam away on Africa Cup of Nations duty. NAPOLI - JUVENTUS - Sunday, January 11th, 2015 - 20:45 PM San Paolo Stadium, Naples Referee: Paolo Tagliavento Allegri: 'Juve keep cool at Napoli' Jan 10, 2014 Max Allegri warned Juventus that “conceding a goal is not a tragedy” ahead of their difficult trip to Napoli. “On Tuesday we compromised the victory against Inter with four individual technical errors and paid for them against a team of great quality,” said Allegri in his Press conference. “Individual mistakes can happen, but unfortunately at the moment we are conceding a goal at every error. “Therefore we need to make more of our chances and possession. We cannot think of playing the entire 90 minutes with the same intensity we showed in the first half against Inter.” The Bianconeri haven’t conquered the Stadio San Paolo since September 2000 and threw away the lead twice in the Italian Super Cup last month. “It’s never easy to win at Napoli, but we have everything it takes to get that result. Juve must realise that during games there can be moments of difficulty, so conceding a goal is not a tragedy. “Matches are won with balance, not by throwing yourselves forward in an excessively risky manner. In order to win tomorrow we need to keep a clean sheet and take our chances. After all, we’ve only conceded eight goals this season and therefore need to improve our finishing.” Roma could well go top of the table this weekend, as they face Lazio in the Derby della Capitale and are only one point behind Juve. “You don’t win the Scudetto with 10 or 15 rounds to spare. This is going to be a balanced League right to the end. “We mustn’t get ahead of ourselves, nor depressed at the first sign of trouble: we are a team aware of our strengths.” Allegri was also asked about the transfer market after attempts to sign Wesley Sneijder from Galatasaray apparently failed. “In order to strengthen this squad we need excellent players, but those are difficult to sign in January. We won’t bring in players just for the sake of it, as that would be pointless. “Arturo Vidal can play any of the midfield roles, including playmaker. Could Paul Pogba cover the trequartista role? It’s unlikely. “Alvaro Morata is the natural alternative to Fernando Llorente, albeit with different characteristics.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

NAPOLI - JUVENTUS - Sunday, January 11th, 2015 - 20:45 PM San Paolo Stadium, Naples Referee: Paolo Tagliavento Bonucci: 'Rivals make Juve stronger' Jan 10, 2014 Leonardo Bonucci admits Juventus must win at Napoli to prove themselves, but Roma controversy “makes us stronger.” “This is a game we have to win in order to cancel out all the doubts that emerged after Doha and Inter,” the defender told Tuttosport. Juve have won just one of the last six competitive games and were beaten on penalties by Napoli in the Italian Super Cup in Dubai on December 22. “We are the strongest team and must continue to prove that. Does Doha still hurt? It always hurts when there’s a trophy involved and now it’s time we won at the San Paolo.” The Bianconeri haven’t conquered Napoli on their own turf since September 2000, so the odds are against them. Roma have closed to within a point of the Serie A leaders, but Bonucci has a message for Rudi Garcia’s men. “My goal is the difference between us and them. It’s pointless stirring up controversy, as at the end of the season mistakes even themselves out. “Roma and everyone around them should concentrate on how good their team is, without wasting time thinking about what happened. Football goes on and doesn’t give points back to anyone, not even us. “We are the best at this moment because we are one point in front. If we are at the end of the season too, then it’ll prove we are the best yet again. “I think Roma are clinging to controversy because Juventus dominated the last few campaigns. It’s tough to fight against us, so they try to stir things up. It’s an attempt to destabilise our confidence, but instead they are making us stronger.” Bonucci tried to explain the recent setbacks and denied suggestions Juventus are sated by three consecutive Scudetti. “The problem if anything is that we are fully aware of our strength, which can at times make us arrogant. When we play with humility and hunger, nobody can beat us.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

NAPOLI - JUVENTUS - Sunday, January 11th, 2015 - 20:45 PM San Paolo Stadium, Naples Referee: Paolo Tagliavento MATCH PREVIEW Jan 10, 2014 Napoli and Juventus meet for the second time in three weeks, as the League leaders travel to the San Paolo looking for Supercoppa revenge. With a number of significant games scheduled, Juventus have not emerged from their winter respite with any improvement in form. After falling to Napoli on penalties last month, they then failed to capitalise on early dominance against Inter, and will need to recapture their consistency if they are to avoid squandering top spot. They have managed only one win in all competitions since the start of December, and with Carlos Tevez contributing a third of all their goals, there is mounting speculation Wesley Sneijder will be brought back to Serie A as an additional creative force to ease the burden. Meanwhile, Lorenzo Insigne, who is currently sidelined until spring, has spoken of Napoli having awoken after the recent triumph over Juve. Napoli’s 2015 did indeed begin well, with an emphatic victory over Cesena and, though ten points currently separate the sides, they have an unbeaten home record against Juventus that dates back to September 2000. Also, an interesting subplot featuring Manolo Gabbiadini has developed in the last week. The 23-year-old forward has completed a move from Juventus to Napoli in the January transfer window without ever having played for the Turin side, as the co-ownership deal they held with Sampdoria was bought out by the Azzurri for €13m. Given his impressive first half of the campaign, it is possible he will be trusted to start this fixture, in what would be his first appearance for the club. Keep an eye on: Manolo Gabbiadini (Napoli) – The duration of his presence in this game may be in doubt given his recent arrival, but Gabbiadini will be hoping to make Juventus regret their decision to sell him. Form guide: Napoli (D D L W W), Juventus (W D D W D) Last season: Napoli 2-0 Juventus Stat fact: Prior to last March’s victory, Napoli hadn’t beaten Juventus in the League in six attempts. Napoli (probable): Rafael; Maggio, Koulibaly, Albiol, Britos; Gargano, Lopez; Callejon, Hamsik, Mertens; Higuain Suspended: None Juventus (probable): Buffon; Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Chiellini, Evra; Marchisio, Pirlo, Pogba; Vidal; Tevez, Llorente Suspended: None http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
