How Cagliari's predicted 4-3-1-2 formation goes about defending Pirlo will be an interesting case. Do they have their trequartista, Andrea Cossu, try some kind of marking on Pirlo? Or will they go about things differently? We've seen teams play off of Pirlo and then pay for it dearly. It's not like Llorente has suddenly gone back to being a player off his game. Maybe he's simply cooled off a bit from when he first became a regular starter under Conte. The big Spaniard has scored one goal in his last five games in all competitions, which isn't so bad considering he's contributed in other areas. But I'm pretty sure I share the line of thinking that it would be nice to get El Rey León a goal, right? The Radja Nainggolan-less Cagliari midfield. Nainggolan leaving Cagliari during the January transfer window was seemingly inevitable. They knew when it was going to happen. Just to put that in perspective, Carlos Tevez has nearly doubled that number on his own this season. Last I heard, they were still playing in Trieste, which may very well be as far away from Sardinia as one can possibly get while still remaining in Italy. But upon further research, it appears this will be Juve’s first trip to Sant’Elia since 2010-11. Although they’re decidedly mid-table, they are the type who can upset the big fish in Serie A. The bad news is that five of those seven non-losses were draws but there’s more good news; they’re only a point behind Milan! With Antonio Conte keeping the engine running, it looks as if la macchina Juve (I made that up myself!) is running at full steam, at a vital part of the year. Whilst the past two winter funks have been what kept the Scudetto race close to the end, this year it could allow Juventus to pull away much earlier — something the “moderately satisfied” coach would relish. On top of that, city administration brought an act which says that no more than 5.000 spectators can attend Cagliari games at stadium Sant’Elia due to security reasons. This frustrates Cagliari faithful as they are heavily obstructed in watching their team at home. This verdict will also prevent Juventus fans to come in numbers and watch champions play another game. However, game is scheduled and will be played tomorrow at 15:00h (Central European Time). Cagliari currently holds firm mid-table position, just below Lazio and Milan on 10th and 11th place.
