  1. Juventus resume interest in Sancho as Greenwood talks with Man Utd stall Juventus have resumed interest in Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho as the Red Devils do not lower the asking price for Mason Greenwood. Juventus and Manchester United are in talks for a potential Greenwood transfer to the Allianz Stadium, but the Red Devils want at least €50m for the English winger, who spent the last season on loan at Getafe. Therefore, Juventus director Giuntoli has reportedly inquired about Sancho. ............. Juventus are once again interested in a loan deal for Sancho provided that Manchester United pay a part of his hefty €8.5m-a-year salary. A permanent transfer to Juventus seems unwilling at this stage as, according to giornalaccio rosa, the asking price for Sancho is also in the region of €50m. ............. 2. Vieri tips Juventus star to score at least five Euro 2024 goals Christian Vieri is confident that Dusan Vlahovic will excel for Serbia at Euro 2024. While Serbia may not be considered one of the favourites, the competition often allows for surprises, and they are seen as dark horses. ............. Vieri now anticipates that Vlahovic will carry over the form he displayed last season to the international stage. He said: “For me he doesn’t score less than five goals. He remained positive even when Juventus wasn’t. I see him calm, ready. Apart from his deadly left foot and his header, he has one thing more: great anger and a great hunger for goals.” ............. 3. Liverpool fails in attempt to hijack Juventus transfer despite offering more money Juventus have finalised an agreement to acquire Michele di Gregorio from Monza this summer, despite Liverpool’s attempt to hijack the deal for his signature. The goalkeeper has established himself as one of Serie A’s top performers in recent seasons, catching the eye of Juventus. ............. Monza and Juventus have already agreed on terms for di Gregorio’s transfer: an initial loan deal valued at 4 million euros, with an obligation to purchase him outright for 16 million euros. However, Liverpool made a bid of 25 million euros to lure him away from Monza. Despite the tempting offer, Monza declined, affirming their commitment to their existing agreement with Juventus and showing no intention to reconsider. ............. 4. Di Livio tasks Juventus star to step up and become a leader in the Italy team Juventus has four players in the Italy squad for Euro 2024, with Federico Chiesa leading that contingent. Chiesa was one of the key figures in Italy’s victory at Euro 2020 held at Wembley, and he is the sole member from Juventus who was part of that championship-winning squad. ............. Under the guidance of Luciano Spalletti, Chiesa will be entrusted with significant responsibilities both on and off the pitch. Pundit Angelo Di Livio believes it’s Chiesa’s moment to step up and assert himself as a leader within the Italy team. He said: “Spalletti’s little soldier is Cambiaso. He is a dynamic, generous and quality player. Chiesa is no longer very young and has entered that age group in which he must behave as a leader. Buffon must monitor the Azzurri, ready to give advice. Spalletti? For his way of doing things, his meticulousness, he is a bit reminiscent of Lippi. Two very attentive, precise coaches.” ............. 5. Juventus sends an offer to Manchester United for Sancho Juventus is stepping up their interest in Manchester United star Jadon Sancho as they look to bolster their squad. Sancho was in fantastic form while on loan at Borussia Dortmund last season, helping them reach the final of the Champions League. ............. The winger is now on Juventus’ radar and the Old Lady has already sent an offer to the Premier League club for his signature. The report claims they have offered to take him on loan, but they will need help from United to cover his salary. Sancho earns 8.5 million euros per season, and Juve cannot pay that wage alone. ............. Read more -> https://www.juvefc.com/juventus-sends-an-offer-to-manchester-united-for-sancho/
  6. Juventus should not sign Mason Greenwood Some things are more important than talent. ............. Multiple reports over the last few days have identified Manchester United winger Mason Greenwood as a transfer target. Juventus absolutely must not sign Mason Greenwood. The article in the hyperlink I included above includes the words “Greenwood was banished from the United first team for off-field issues.” That phrase is, at best, an understatement of epic proportions. At worst, it is deliberately obtuse, glossing over some horrifying and disturbing stuff. Greenwood was arrested in January 2022 after images and audio recordings surfaced on social media of alleged domestic violence and, in the case of the latter, rape, of his partner. The images were terrifying, and the audio even more so. His actions were heinous. There is no other way to describe them. The fact that he’s even been afforded the privilege of being a professional footballer at this point is, frankly, appalling. The fact that someone at Continassa might be looking to bring him to Juve is equally so. ............. All this is to say that Juventus shouldn’t be touching this man with a 10-foot pole. Manchester United have essentially admitted that they’re pushing him out the door in order to avoid the bad PR. Even setting aside the moral implications of the signing, after everything Juve have gone through the last two years or so, that kind of public relations nightmare isn’t the kind of thing the club needs as they try to kick off their new chapter with Thiago Motta and Cristiano Giuntoli. However talented he might be, it isn’t worth everything that will undoubtedly come with him. ............. I don’t demand perfection. To quote the esteemed Leslie Higgins of AFC Richmond, “Human beings are never going to be perfect.” But in a test of worthiness to play for Juventus, Greenwood fails on every level the instant one pulls up one of those photographs. One needs to be found guilty in a court of law to be imprisoned. You don’t need that to realize entering into a contract with the guy. Mason Greenwood should not be signed by Juventus. If he is, then the Juve way might well be truly gone for good. Calafiori excelled under Motta last season, playing a pivotal role in Bologna’s qualification for the Champions League. ............. CEO Claudio Fenucci has affirmed their stance by informing agents that their top players are not available for transfer, addressing inquiries about Calafiori’s future. However, the goalkeeper has yet to sign his Juventus contract, and their fans are eager for that to happen soon. Juve expects him to join on an initial loan deal for €4 million, with an obligation to sign him permanently for €16 million. ............. But why has he not officially signed for the Old Lady yet? The only missing piece of the agreement is the player’s signature. However, they also assure that it will happen soon, as all other agreements have already been sealed. ............. Fans were not pleased with Max Allegri’s tenure, which featured a poor style of play and only one trophy won in his final game as their coach, after three seasons in charge. Allegri earned around 9 million euros per year and failed to justify the high salary. ............. The Bianconeri have placed Motta on a salary worth 3.5 million euros per season. 16. ‘General agreement’ reached with Manchester United player – €40m may be enough for deal At the beginning of the month, Mason Greenwood was linked with multiple clubs. Benfica, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus were among those said to be keen. ............. Juventus have reached a ‘general agreement’ with Greenwood’s entourage. There’s no specifics mentioned on that but it’s likely to be his approval to the move, and a rough level of salary. The Turin club would then have to negotiate a deal with Manchester United, and today it’s said they want €40-50m. Juventus think that’s high, and they need to sell players anyway, before having a chance to seriously go into negotiations.
