  2. Why Manchester United’s interest in Bremer has gone cold Manchester United had shown serious interest in signing Gleison Bremer for several months, a player Juventus highly values as their key defender. Bremer is considered crucial by Juventus fans, and the club is intent on retaining him for the long term. ............ Recently, however, discussions about a potential move to United have stalled, with little coverage in the media about any ongoing negotiations. This development is positive for Juventus as they aim to provide Thiago Motta with a strong squad to begin his tenure as manager. The reason for the cooling of interest lies in Juventus’s reluctance to engage in talks regarding Bremer’s transfer. Additionally, United has reportedly shifted its focus to a different target who may present a more viable option for them to sign. ............ Claudio Gentile tips Thiago Motta to overachieve at Juventus Former Italy and Juventus defender Claudio Gentile is impressed with Thiago Motta as a manager and believes he will bring a surprise element to the Juventus bench next season. ............ Gentile is confident in Motta’s managerial abilities and predicts that he will bring a similar level of surprise and success to Juventus in his first season, just as he did with Bologna. He said: “Thiago Motta is a prepared coach, the best that Juventus could hire at the moment. In Bologna he surprised everyone, achieving a historic achievement for the Emilians: qualifying for the Champions League is an extraordinary result. I am convinced that Motta can also surprise Juventus. The equivalent of what he did in charge of Bologna would be to conquer the Scudetto with the Bianconeri at the first try.” ............ 6. Rabiot’s replacement at Juventus will likely be another Frenchman Juventus remains keen to keep Adrien Rabiot and has made that clear since the start of last season, but they risk losing him before Euro 2024 ends. ............ Thiago Motta, the new Juventus manager, wishes to work with Rabiot, but Juve will not wait forever. Rabiot’s contract with the club expires at the end of this month. ............ Cristiano Giuntoli is also looking at alternative players in case they cannot secure Rabiot on a new deal. He has placed Nice’s Khephren Thuram and AS Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana on a standby list. 13. Juventus Accelerating Talks to Renew Young Gun’s Miserable Contract Juventus have reportedly reopened talks to extend Kenan Yildiz’s contract after deeming him crucial to Thiago Motta’s project. The Bianconeri are keen to sort out the youngster’s renewal in the coming days. ............ Yildiz signed an extension last August, pledging his future to Juventus until 2028. But the Turin side handed him a salary unworthy of a rising Serie A star. A €300,000 yearly salary will unlikely keep Yildiz committed to Juventus. Therefore, the record-time Italian champions want to improve the terms and renew his contract until 2029. And they’re eager to close things out on short notice. Juventus are aware of growing interest in Yildiz’s signature. Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool are at the head of the queue. 15.
