JUVENTUS - LAZIO 2 - 0 Mario Mandžukić (69') Paulo Dybala (73') FINAL ITALIAN SUPERCUP Saturday, August 8th, 2015 - 01:00 P.M. Shanghai Stadium, Shanghai Referee: Luca Banti Pioli: 'Juve deserved Super Cup' http://www.football-italia.net/70746/pioli-juve-deserved-super-cup? Aug 8, 2015 Stefano Pioli admits Juventus “deserved to win the Super Cup” after Lazio failed to find a breakthrough. The Aquile lost 2-1 in extra time in the Coppa Italia Final and fell 2-0 in Shanghai. “Unfortunately the only thing that counted today was the result. It was a balanced game in difficult conditions for the state of the turf and the wind,” Coach Pioli told Rai Sport. “I was certain the first side to score would get the victory. I was not worried by pre-season friendlies, but today I saw my Lazio again with the right spirit and determination. I am confident for the future. “Both teams created few real scoring opportunities. The Juventus goal came from an unlucky Felipe Anderson backpass, while the bounce on the turf meant we couldn’t really play with the ball to feet. “Juventus did well to take up all the spaces.” Summer signings Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala scored for Juve, but Lazio’s newcomers were only introduced late on. “The new players have good quality, but they just arrived a few days ago, so we had to rush things. It was an important objective, we were unable to make the most of it, but have to be at our best condition possible for the Champions League play-off in 10 days. “Compliments to Juventus, a very strong team who deserved to win the Super Cup, but I believe this season we can do great things.” That Champions League play-off will be against Bayer Leverkusen. “It’s tough because the Germans are very competitive, but I continue to insist we can have our say.”

JUVENTUS - LAZIO 2 - 0 Mario Mandžukić (69') Paulo Dybala (73') FINAL ITALIAN SUPERCUP Saturday, August 8th, 2015 - 01:00 P.M. Shanghai Stadium, Shanghai Referee: Luca Banti Dybala: 'Incredible debut' http://www.football-italia.net/70745/dybala-incredible-debut? Aug 8, 2015 Paulo Dybala admits scoring on his competitive Juventus debut against Lazio to win the Super Cup was “incredible.” “Today felt remarkable, as to score in my first game in a Juve shirt and a Final in this setting was incredible,” he told Rai Sport after a 2-0 result. “The club made a big investment for me. With all the confidence the Coach and my teammates put in me, I will try to repay them.” Max Allegri did scream at Dybala from the touchline after a misplaced nutmeg gave the ball away. “At that point I thought the ball would go through, but the Coach got angry! I apologised. “The objective for this club is always to win. All my teammates and the staff told me that. We won today and can already look forward to the next challenge. “I dedicate the victory to my family, who is watching from home, and my girlfriend.”

JUVENTUS - LAZIO 2 - 0 Mario Mandžukić (69') Paulo Dybala (73') FINAL ITALIAN SUPERCUP Saturday, August 8th, 2015 - 01:00 P.M. Shanghai Stadium, Shanghai Referee: Luca Banti Juventus win Supercoppa Italiana http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/juventus/result/result-juventus-win-supercoppa-italiana_238061.html Aug 8, 2015 Juventus scored two goals in quick succession to wrap up a 2-0 win over Lazio in the Supercoppa Italiana in the Shangai Stadium in China this afternoon. The league champions were on the attack early as Stephan Lichsteiner crossed the ball in towards Paul Pogba, but the French international was unable to head in at the far post. Lazio, who were runners up to Juventus in the Coppa Italia last season, started to find their way into the match as the first half progressed though, with Miroslav Klose rounding a couple of defenders before losing out on the edge of the box, while Antonio Candreva fired a long ball forward. Juventus had a good chance to open the scoring just moment after the restart when Mario Mandzukic picked up a through-ball on the edge of the box before turning towards the Lazio goal, but Federico Marchetti made the save. The Serie A champions continued to look the more likely as the second half progressed and opened the scoring with just over 20 minutes remaining when Lichtsteiner crossed the ball in for Mandzukic, who rose high in the box to finally get the better of Marchetti. Felipe Anderson had a chance to equalise down the other end just a couple of minutes later for Lazio, but his low strike from the edge of the box was stopped by Gianluigi Buffon. The keeper immediately launched Juventus on a quick move down the other end, with Pogba sprinting down the flank before crossing for Paulo Dybala, who sliced the ball into the top of the net to double the league champions' advantage. Despite conceding twice in four minutes, Lazio continued to attack as they tried to get themselves back into the tie, but Filip Djordjevic was flagged offside while on the charge, before Anderson saw his effort blocked.

JUVENTUS - LAZIO 2 - 0 Mario Mandžukić (69') Paulo Dybala (73') FINAL ITALIAN SUPERCUP Saturday, August 8th, 2015 - 01:00 P.M. Shanghai Stadium, Shanghai Referee: Luca Banti Juventus 2-0 Lazio: Debutants Mandzukic And Dybala Secure Supercoppa Italiana http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2015/08/juventus-2-0-lazio-debutants-mandzukic-and-dybala-secure-supercoppa-italiana/? Aug 8, 2015 Juventus defeated Lazio 2-0 to win the Supercoppa Italiana at Shanghai Stadium in China on Saturday and secure a record seventh title in the 2015-16 curtain raiser. Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala both scored on their Bianconeri debuts with the goals coming in the space of five minutes during the second-half. Both sides struggled to adapt to the windy conditions and state of the pitch throughout the match with the ball bobbling over bare patches covered by cut grass spread by grounds staff. Stephan Lichtsteiner was one of several players to blame a bobble after scuffing a cross into the hands of Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti, but the former Aquile full-back went closest in the first-half with a long-range shot just over the crossbar. Juventus nearly opened the scoring within three minutes of the second-half after Paul Pogba sent Mandzukic through on goal only to shoot straight at Marchetti before the new Bianconeri No.10 unleashed a scorching shot that whistled just wide. Both teams made attacking substitutions after an hour with Dybala replacing surprise starter Kingsley Coman, while Filip Djordjevic was introduced for Miroslav Klose. Juventus soon broke the deadlock when Mandzukic leapt above Dusan Basta to head a Stefano Sturaro cross from the right side into the far bottom corner from six yards. The Bianconeri then doubled their lead after Dybala emphatically finished into the roof of the net after a Pogba cutback from the left side of the penalty box. The Biancocelesti responded by introducing summer-signings Ricardo Kishna and Ravel Morrison before Leonardo Bonucci made two decisive blocks inside the box on Antonio Candreva. The result means that Juventus are the most successful side in the history of the Supercoppa and move ahead of AC Milan, while Lazio still await a fourth title.

JUVENTUS - LAZIO 2 - 0 Mario Mandžukić (69') Paulo Dybala (73') FINAL ITALIAN SUPERCUP Saturday, August 8th, 2015 - 01:00 P.M. Shanghai Stadium, Shanghai Referee: Luca Banti SC: New Juve stars sink Lazio New boys Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala were on target as Juventus beat Lazio 2-0 for the Italian Super Cup in Shanghai. http://www.football-italia.net/70744/sc-new-juve-stars-sink-lazio? Aug 8, 2015 Juve set a new record by winning the Supercoppa for the seventh time. As the Bianconeri did the Double last season, the Aquile were included as beaten Coppa Italia Finalists for this Italian version of the Community Shield. Marco Parolo and Senad Lulic were suspended, while Alvaro Morata, Giorgio Chiellini and Sami Khedira had muscular problems. Andrea Barzagli recovered quicker than expected to start with Kingsley Coman preferred to Dybala. Paul Pogba made his debut in the new Number 10 jersey. There was controversy over the state of the turf in Shanghai, as it was visibly patchy and bobbly, while conditions were very windy due to the typhoon in Taiwan. Antonio Candreva caused early difficulties, bursting to the by-line to risk a Barzagli own goal and then just failed to reach Miroslav Klose for the tap-in. Stephan Lichtsteiner’s sudden screamer from distance sailed over the bar, but overall Juve kept possession at too slow a tempo to make a dent. Pogba was the only one to occasionally make a smart move, combining with Patrice Evra only for Mario Mandzukic to be anticipated. After the restart Pogba created two scoring opportunities in 30 seconds. First he sent Mandzukic clear on goal with a through ball only for the Croatian to fire straight at Federico Marchetti’s feet, then the move continued and Pogba’s scorching strike from 25 metres whistled inches past the far top corner. Gigi Buffon took the sting out of an Eddy Onazi effort from the edge of the box, but Juventus finally broke through with 21 minutes to go. Stefano Sturaro crossed from the right and Mandzukic leapt above Dusan Basta for a precise header from six yards, his first competitive goal for the Bianconeri. This also means he has scored in Super Cups in Italy, Spain and Germany. Buffon was right behind a Felipe Anderson shot on the volley, but Juve doubled their lead with the other summer signing. Mandzukic flew down the right and his cross was only cleared as far as Pogba, who intelligently laid it off for unmarked Dybala to smash under the bar from 12 yards. Ricardo Kishna made his Lazio debut and Buffon fingertipped a Felipe Anderson cross off his head, then Bonucci performed two decisive blocks from point-blank range on Candreva. On the resulting corner, Filip Djordjevic's header was too weak to beat Buffon. Juventus 2-0 Lazio Scorers: Mandzukic 69 (J), Dybala 73 (J) Juventus: Buffon; Barzagli, Bonucci, Caceres; Lichtsteiner, Sturaro (Pereyra 89), Marchisio, Pogba, Evra; Coman (Dybala 60), Mandzukic (Llorente 79) Lazio: Marchetti; Basta, De Vrij, Gentiletti, Radu; Onazi, Biglia, Cataldi (Kishna 74); Candreva, Klose (Djordjevic 61), Felipe Anderson (Morrison 86) Ref: Banti

JUVENTUS - LAZIO 2 - 0 Mario Mandžukić (69') Paulo Dybala (73') FINAL ITALIAN SUPERCUP Saturday, August 8th, 2015 - 01:00 P.M. Shanghai Stadium, Shanghai Referee: Luca Banti Juventus 2-0 Lazio: Mandzukic & Dybala claim Supercoppa Italiana glory The Croatia international opened the scoring with a close-range header before his Argentine team-mate fired home, after being teed up by Paul Pogba. http://www.goal.com/en/match/juventus-vs-lazio/2036710/report Aug 8, 2015 Summer signings Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala were both on target as Juventus claimed their first trophy of the new season courtesy of 2-0 win over Lazio in the Supercoppa Italiana. The Old Lady's new-look strikeforce offered Massimiliano Allegri a glimpse of what he can expect in the post-Carlos Tevez era by finding the net in quick succession midway through the second half of a drab curtain-raiser to the Italian season. Mandzukic - who was named in Allegri's starting XI - broke the deadlock in the 68th minute with a towering header from Stephan Lichtsteiner's cross, shortly before substitute Dybala lashed Paul Pogba's lay-off into the roof of Federico Marchetti's net from 10 yards. Ex-Atletico Madrid forward Mandzukic had missed the game's only other genuine chance straight after half-time when Marchetti easily saved his weak shot. But the Croatian made amends with a superb opener, and Dybala sealed Juve's win four minutes later to give the Serie A champions a boost before they go in search of a fifth-straight Scudetto. Gianluigi Buffon and Marchetti were able to watch a pedestrian first half unfold without being troubled as both teams laboured in the Chinese heat and humidity. Lichtsteiner was first to have an attempt on goal on the half-hour mark, the Juve wing-back cutting in from the right before firing a speculative left-footed shot over Marchetti's bar from 25 yards. Former Lazio man Lichtsteiner was involved again shortly before half-time, when his tug of Felipe Anderson's shirt near the technical areas led to a frank exchange of views with Lazio boss Stefano Pioli, but that was as exciting as the opening 45 minutes got for the Shanghai Stadium crowd. The first three minutes of the second half contained more goalmouth action than the whole of the first, as first Mandzukic was denied by Marchetti after being put through one-on-one by Pogba, before Juve's new number 10 flashed a superb half-volley just wide. Allegri introduced another new forward, Dybala, on the hour mark in an attempt to invigorate his attack, and the breakthrough arrived eight minutes later courtesy of Mandzukic's trademark header. Dybala got in on the act himself four minutes later, displaying the kind of finishing prowess that persuaded Juve to recruit him from Palermo when he unerringly fired Pogba's pass beyond Marchetti to secure yet more silverware for last season's double-winners.

JUVENTUS - LAZIO - FINAL ITALIAN SUPERCUP Saturday, August 8th, 2015 - 01:00 P.M. Shanghai Stadium, Shanghai Referee: Luca Banti Marchisio: 'Difficult conditions' http://www.football-italia.net/70742/marchisio-difficult-conditions Aug 8, 2015 Claudio Marchisio said Juventus are having problems against Lazio due to the conditions in Shanghai. The midfielder spoke to Rai Sport at half-time during the Italian Super Cup, when it was goalless. “It’s a balanced and difficult game because of the climactic conditions, as it’s very windy and the pitch isn’t great,” said Marchisio. “Lazio are a very good side, so it will be a difficult challenge to the very end. This is a Final, so of course it’s going to be tough.”

JUVENTUS - LAZIO - FINAL ITALIAN SUPERCUP Saturday, August 8th, 2015 - 01:00 P.M. Shanghai Stadium, Shanghai Referee: Luca Banti SC line-ups: Juventus-Lazio http://www.football-italia.net/70737/sc-line-ups-juventus-lazio? Aug 8, 2015 Mario Mandzukic, Miroslav Klose, Kingsley Coman, Lucas Biglia and Andrea Barzagli start in the Italian Super Cup Juventus v Lazio. It kicks off at 14.00 CE time in Shanghai. The Bianconeri won the Double last term and also lost the Champions League Final, so aim to start 2015-16 with another trophy. As they took both tournaments, Juve meet with beaten Coppa Italia Finalists Lazio for the Supercoppa. Alvaro Morata, Giorgio Chiellini and Sami Khedira are out injured, but Barzagli has made a remarkably quick recovery from a thigh strain to be in the starting XI. New boys Mandzukic leads the way in attack with teenager Coman, surprisingly benching Paulo Dybala, while Pogba debuts in his Number 10 jersey. Max Allegri goes back to the 3-5-2 system with Martin Caceres as a centre-back and Stefano Sturaro in midfield. Lazio have a full squad, apart from suspended Marco Parolo and Senad Lulic., but need a boost after four consecutive friendly defeats leading up to this game. Coach Stefano Pioli has never been able to beat Juve in his career, scraping only three draws from 10 encounters. Veteran hitman Klose gets the nod ahead of Filip Djordjevic, while Felipe Anderson and Antonio Candreva complete the trident attack. Summer signings Ravel Morrison, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Ricardo Kishna are on the bench hoping to make their Aquile debuts. Juventus: Buffon; Barzagli, Bonucci, Caceres; Lichtsteiner, Sturaro, Marchisio, Pogba, Evra; Coman, Mandzukic Juventus bench: Neto, Rubinho, Isla, Rugani, Parodi, Vitale, Pereyra, Dybala, Zaza, Llorente, Tello Lazio: Marchetti; Basta, De Vrij, Gentiletti, Radu; Onazi, Biglia, Cataldi; Candreva, Klose, Felipe Anderson Lazio bench: Berisha, Guerrieri, Patric, Konko, Mauricio, Hoedt, Morrison, Milinkovic, Oikonomidis, Kishna, Djordjevic, Keita

JUVENTUS - LAZIO - FINAL ITALIAN SUPERCUP Saturday, August 8th, 2015 - 01:00 P.M. Shanghai Stadium, Shanghai Referee: Luca Banti Gentiletti worried by bounce http://www.football-italia.net/70738/gentiletti-worried-bounce? Aug 8, 2015 Santiago Gentiletti said Lazio “are convinced we can do well” in today’s Italian Super Cup against Juventus, but has pitch concerns. It kicks off in Shanghai at 14.00 CET for the first trophy of the 2015-16 campaign. “We are so hungry for victory and facing Juventus yet again,” defender Gentiletti told Lazio Style Channel. “It’ll be tough, the climate and the state of the pitch will have an effect on both teams. We need to be very wary of the irregular bounce of the ball. “With the right attitude and utmost concentration, we can do something positive. We are a united group and convinced we can do well.”
