The last time this Coach started a season with a 100 per cent record after two rounds was with Sassuolo in 2007-08. “I am absolutely not surprised we’ve started the season so well,” Allegri told Sky Sport Italia. “This squad has physical and technical qualities which mean we can do a lot better. The Friulian side were the first to visit Turin this season, and taking three points from his debut home game was crucial to Allegri winning over the Bianconeri supporters. Antonio Conte boasted an incredible record at Juventus Stadium, including victories in all 19 league fixtures there in 2014-15. Thanks to a 2–0 win here, his successor has certainly begun on the right path as he attempts to fill the void left by the former captain. Winner: Carlos Tevez (Juventus) This week, Carlos Tevez had to deny reports he was injured, taking to Twitter (h/t Football Italia) to insist he was fine and “preparing for Saturday’s game.” Putting the idle chatter behind him quickly, the Argentinian opened the scoring against Udinese after just eight minutes. Side-footing home a comfortable finish from around 12 yards, the striker netted his 20th goal for the Bianconeri in just 36 Serie A appearances. He played well throughout the match, adding an assist as he teed up Claudio Marchisio for Juve's important second goal. With Udinese threatening to establish a foothold in the second half, Marchisio netted a crucial second goal for the home side. Winner: Martin Caceres (Juventus) With Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini missing once again, Martin Caceres continued on the right of the Juventus back three. He has been in excellent form throughout 2014, and showed that with yet another impressive display. However, the impressive early form of Kingsley Coman and the arrival of Alvaro Morata appears to have seen him remain on the outside looking in. Those two new signings took to the field tonight, replacing Tevez and Fernando Llorente respectively, whilst Giovinco remained an unused substitute for the second game in a row. Carlos Tevez opened the scoring in the eighth minute, before Claudio Marchisio ensured the win late in the second half. The home side immediately looked to dominate, forcing their opponents to defend in numbers. Their strong start was rewarded when Stephan Lichtsteiner broke down the right wing and fired in a cross for Carlos Tevez to expertly strike home in the ninth minute. The Argentine placed the ball into the bottom far corner, beyond the reach of Orestis Karnezis in the Udinese goal . The Bianconeri then had a claim for a penalty when Patrice Evra was brought down in the box by Panagiotis Kone. The Old Lady continued to dominate after the goal, Paul Pogba in particular standing out Udinese had a rare chance on the counter in the 26th minute but the final ball was played behind the onrushing Luis Muriel. Martin Caceres made a crucial headed clearance in the 29th minute, denying Antonio Di Natale a clear attempt on goal. The Zebrette began to enjoy more possession after the half hour mark but their midfield lacked any guile or creativity. Lichtsteiner prodded a shot tamely wide in the 37th minute following some neat interchanges on the edge of the Udinese penalty area. The Frenchman contuned to be a threat and he went close again in the 44th minute, skipping past a challenge and striking from distance. The second half began in much the same way as the first with the home side attacking from the outset. Evra made one of his trademark attacking runs down the left wing in the 64th minute, firing his cross just behind Fernando Llorente. There was drama in the 66th minute when the away side thought they had equalized but defender Igor Bubnjic was judged to be offside when he prodded the ball in the net from three yards out. Replays show the call was extremely tight. Soon after Llorente rolled his defender expertly but sliced his shot horribly wide. The Old Lady did eventually double their advantage in the 75th minute when Claudio Marchisio finished a neat move involving Patrice Evra and Carlos Tevez. After the second goal the game petered out with the home side looking to conserve their energy and Udinese lacking any real quality. In his first competitive home match in charge, Allegri had to contend with the absences of key men Andrea Pirlo, Giorgio Chiellini and Arturo Vidal, but the home side had little trouble in overcoming an Udinese side that lacked any potency, even with the prolific Antonio Di Natale in attack.
