Webb: Pirlo’s free-kick… Mar 29, 2014 Howard Webb is grateful for his ovation at Fiorentina-Juventus, and for being able to witness first hand Andrea Pirlo’s free-kick. AMAZONIAN The Premier League match official and his team directed affairs in the second leg of the Serie A sides’ Europa League Last 16 clash at the Stadio Artemio Franchi last week. Webb was well received by the crowd and was given an ovation by supporters before the kick-off. “It was a fantastic evening, when I heard the ovation of the audience I did not realise it was for me. AMAZONIAN “I turned around to see if someone important had entered the field…” Webb has considered to the giornalaccio rosa dello Sport since. “I enjoy these things - to be a referee is a passion, but without the co-operation of the palyers, fans and journalists, it becomes all the more difficult. “It is important to understand the difficulties of a referee, we are humans and make mistakes. AMAZONIAN “Would I like to referee in Serie A? It’s a difficult League and therefore challenging, but it would be a good experience for me.” The 42-year-old, who refereed in 2010 the World Cup Final and Champions League Final, was asked about the winning goal in that match, from an Andrea Pirlo free-kick. “Pirlo’s free-kick was magnificent, we have the good fortune to be able to witness certain masterpieces live and to see the best players in the world. This was the case in Fiorentina-Juventus.” AMAZONIAN Webb was asked for a prediction for this summer’s World Cup clash between England and Italy. “I don’t know, perhaps I will watch the game with my friend Rizzoli, a great referee, like his collegues - the Italian school is really of the highest level.”

‘Pogba evaluations after World Cup’ Mar 28, 2014 Mino Raiola has clarified that he and Paul Pogba won’t consider offers from Juventus or other clubs until after the World Cup. AMAZONIAN The 21-year-old’s form since joining the Old Lady from Manchester United in 2012 has increasingly attracted speculation in the media linking him with the likes of Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid. Whilst the Bianconeri have commented on their desire to keep hold of the midfielder and have been seen as preparing an improved contract offer to counter such interest, the player’s representative has now looked to clarify the situation. “Right now the guy is just thinking about playing, to focus on the championship fight and on winning the Europa League,” agent Raiola has told today’s edition of Tuttosport. AMAZONIAN “It means a lot to retain the Scudetto, but also to lift a Cup at the Juventus Stadium in mid-May. The Europa League is snubbed by most in Italy, but by mistake. “Pogba is bursting with motivation. He wants to win everything with Juventus, from here to the end of the season. “And then he will go into the World Cup with France - an amazing achievement for a phenomenal guy who a year ago had just won the World Championship at Under-20 level.” AMAZONIAN Raiola was prompted for comment on interest from other clubs in Pogba. “Nothing in the pot is boiling. Until after Brazil we will not move a leaf. We have decided to postpone any type of negotiation until after. “Pogba wants to play a great World Cup, and for this he must think only of the field in the next three-and-a-half months. AMAZONIAN “Pogba is in a great moment in Turin. And there is not any kind of problem with Juventus. He is pleased with Juve, just as everyone at Juve is happy with Pogba. “Paul still has a long contract in Turin until 2016. There is no rush, no urgency. Even so, for now, Pogba will not leave. “For now, he does not want to go away, then if one day a crazy offer arrived for him and for Juve, well, it would be assessed together. AMAZONIAN “That is to say - a crazy bid from Real Madrid, rather than another top European club. We will evaluate everything after the World Cup, in due course - any offers from other clubs, as well as any proposals for the renewal of the contract at Juventus. “So, it is true that I am not dealing with anyone in Turin or elsewhere. Everything is postponed, Juventus knows this. “I repeat - there are no problems of any kind.”

Tevez ‘didn’t expect decisiveness’ Mar 28, 2014 Carlos Tevez says he didn’t expect to be so decisive for Juventus in his first year, as he reflects on where the League is won and lost. AMAZONIAN The Bianconeri have seen goals from their No 10 decide games just this week against Catania and Parma, in a campaign that has so far yielded 18 League strikes for the forward. It is an impact that the 30-year-old says he did not expect to have. “In truth, I did not think so, I only had in mind to do my job, this is the first year in Italy, too,” Tevez has considered to La Stampa. AMAZONIAN “It is a very difficult championship. We played Catania in almost a climate of war, whilst it has been hard against Parma. “These are games that allow you to win championships - the classics against Napoli, Milan and Inter also count, but playing and winning battles like those of last Sunday in Sicily is really important.” Tevez is set for a summer away from football, as Alejandro Sabella looks unlikely to call him up to Argentina’s World Cup squad. AMAZONIAN “We always talk about the national team, but I think just to doing my job. It is not me who decides, it is up to the Coach, Sabella. “I will not say any more, I do not answer Argentine journalists and I do not take phone calls. I do not think it is the case that a player should call the Coach.” AMAZONIAN Tevez was also asked about the man right behind him in the scoring charts, who he has had previous run-ins with but is rumoured as set to return to Juventus for next season, Ciro Immobile. “He is proving to be a great player, it is not easy to score 17 goals in Italy. He is doing very well, it is clear that he deserves to wear this shirt.”

Pirlo: I'm happy to end my career at Juventus The Italy international says he is happy at the Serie A champions and has pledged his support to Cesare Prandelli after the Italy coach renewed his contract. Mar 29, 2014 Juventus veteran Andrea Pirlo has suggested he would be happy to end his career with the Turin club. AMAZONIAN The 34-year-old, who has never played for a club outside of Italy, has said he had contemplated opportunities outside of his homeland in the past, but the playmaker was content with life at Juventus Stadium. "In recent years I have assessed chances to have an experience abroad, but in the end I'm fine here," Pirlo told Sky Sport. "I think this is the best place for me to continue playing football. AMAZONIAN "It's Conte's third year but the hunger to win is always the same. The formation and style of play has changed but our substance has remained the same. "We have gained experiences and knowledge, things that have helped us to get the results we have. "I always play to win, I always have big targets in mind. AMAZONIAN "We are out of the Champions League but now we need to concentrate on the Europa League. "The more targets you have, the greater the will to win." Juve face third-placed Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo on Sunday, and are closing on a 30th Scudetto, and third in succession. AMAZONIAN Pirlo said their huge buffer on Rafael Benitez's men was irrelevant heading into the weekend's clash. "We know where we want to get to. Napoli are a great team, the 20 point difference between the teams will count for nothing on the pitch. "In the reverse fixture with Napoli we played very well. It was a huge game but we went out onto the pitch to win, like we always do." AMAZONIAN Pirlo's Italy are World Cup-bound in mid-year, and he said he was pleased his nation's FA showed faith in coach Cesare Prandelli by renewing his contract. "Prandelli's renewal? We are happy, he has done very well and it was right to give his project continuity," he said.

Pirlo: Tevez has proven himself an 'extraordinary' talent The playmaker has saluted the Argentine for the way in which he has lived up to his reputation as a world-class forward by storming to the top of Serie A's top goalscorers' chart. Mar 28, 2014 Andrea Pirlo has paid tribute to Carlos Tevez for himself a player of "extraordinary capabilities" since joining Juventus last summer. AMAZONIAN AC Milan appeared the Italian side most likely to sign the Argentine from former club Manchester City but a proposed move to San Siro during the 2013 January transfer window collapsed because of the two parties' inability to agree a deal. The Rossoneri's loss proved Juve's gain, as Tevez has enjoyed a stunning debut campaign in Italy following a €14 million move to Turin, having netted 18 times in 19 Serie A appearances. “He’s a truly great player with extraordinary capabilities," Pirlo told Sky Sport Italia. "Everyone knew it already because he had won a lot in England, but as soon as he got here he showed his value.” AMAZONIAN Tevez's goals have put Juve within touching distance of a third successive Scudetto, with Antonio Conte's men currently 14 points clear of second-placed Roma. Pirlo, though, is taking nothing for granted, particularly as Juve face a trick trip to the San Paolo on Sunday to face Napoli, who sit third in the standings. “We’ve played a great season so far, but we haven’t won anything yet," the midfielder pointed out. AMAZONIAN "Napoli are a strong side, and out there on the field the points difference will count for nothing on Sunday." Indeed, Pirlo insists that in spite of their advantageous position in the league, there will be no letting up in closing weeks of the season as Juve look to pull off a Serie A and Europa League double. “I always play to win, always with the big objectives in mind," the Italy international declared. "This year it’s the Italian championship and the Europa League. AMAZONIAN “The formation and the style of play might have changed in these three years [at Juve], but the desire has always been a constant.” Pirlo joined Juve on a free transfer in 2011, after a decade with AC Milan.

Tevez surprised by debut Juventus season The striker has scored 18 goals in his first 29 games in Serie A and admits he thought the adaptation period would perhaps have been a little tougher. Mar 28, 2014 Juventus striker Carlos Tevez has surprised himself by how well he has adapted to life in Serie A this season. AMAZONIAN The Argentina international joined the Italian champions from Manchester City last June and has gone on to become the leading scorer in the division, with 18 goals in 29 outings. Tevez's goals have helped put Juve firmly on course for a third straight Scudetto, with Antonio Conte's side currently 14 points clear of second-placed Roma with just eight games to go, while they are also in the last eight of the Europa League. However, despite their continued domestic dominance, Tevez has insisted the Italian top flight has been tough, adding that he did not expect to hit the ground running so quickly in Turin. AMAZONIAN When asked by La Stampa whether he envisaged having such a strong debut campaign, he said: "In truth, I did not think so, I only had in mind to do my job, this is the first year in Italy, too. "It is a very difficult championship. We played Catania (winning 1-0 at the Stadio Angelo Massimino last Sunday) in almost a climate of war, while it has been hard against Parma (in a 2-1 home win on Wednesday). AMAZONIAN "These are games that allow you to win championships - the classics against Napoli, Milan and Inter also count, but playing and winning battles like those of last Sunday in Sicily is really important." Juve can take another step towards the Serie A title on Sunday when they take on third-placed Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo.

Pogba will decide future after World Cup, says agent Mino Raiola insists the Frenchman will consider offers from other clubs as well as a potential new deal in Turin - but only after the showpiece in South America. Mar 28, 2014 Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba will not make a decision on his future until after the World Cup, according to his agent Mino Raiola. AMAZONIAN Pogba has enjoyed a superb season with the Bianconeri, notching eight goals in all competitions having firmly established his place in Antonio Conte's first-choice midfield alongside Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal. Paris Saint-Germain have long been linked with a big-money move for the 21-year-old, while Real Madrid have also been credited with an interest, but Raiola has made it clear Pogba's future will not be settled until after France's campaign in Brazil this summer. "My priority is always the same: to look after the players I represent," Raiola was quoted as saying by Tuttosport. AMAZONIAN "Between now and the World Cup, nothing will happen. Everything you speak of - a renewal or a possible transfer - will be carefully assessed, but only after Brazil. "Pogba is happy with Juve, just as Juve are glad to have Pogba. He still has a contract in Turin until 2016. There is no rush, no urgency. For now, Pogba will not go. "I say for now he will not go, because if one day a crazy offer for him comes in, we would assess it together. AMAZONIAN "We will evaluate everything after the World Cup: any offers from other clubs, as well as proposals to renew his contract at Juventus. Everything is postponed, as Juventus know. I repeat: there are no problems of any kind." Raiola was eager to stress that Pogba's sole focus is on securing silverware this season, both in Serie A and in the Europa League. AMAZONIAN "At this moment, the boy is thinking about playing, about winning the Scudetto and the Europa League," the agent added. "Pogba is bursting with motivation. He wants to win everything with Juventus, here at the end of the season, and then go to the World Cup with France - an amazing achievement for a phenomenal guy who only a year ago won the World Under-20 championship."

Marchisio: 'Juve miss Champions' Mar 27, 2014 Claudio Marchisio will go all out to win the Europa League, but admits Juventus “haven’t won the Champions League in far too long.” http://markting10.nl/ The midfielder came up through the youth ranks and spoke to fans in Tokyo via a video chat. “Antonio Conte has brought back the winning mentality that had been lacking for a few years. As everyone knows, we work hard and that is down to our Coach. “It is that work ethic that allowed us to achieve these results over the last three seasons.” http://markting10.nl/ The Juventus Stadium in Turin has also received a great deal of praise and the Europa League Final will be held there in May. “As a fan I experienced the Stadio Delle Alpi and as a player the Stadio Olimpico. Above all in the former there wasn’t that same connection between the team and crowd that there is now. “You could tell right from the first game against Parma how intense that rapport was. The fans really are our 12th man. http://markting10.nl/ “Can we will the Europa League? It is a competition we care about a great deal and the Final will be in our home stadium, so we hope to win the trophy here in Turin. “Of course, the dream is the Champions League. This club hasn’t won it in far too long. We’ll try to make up for it next year.” Juventus last lifted the Champions League in Rome, beating Ajax on May 22 1996.

NAPOLI - JUVENTUS March 30, 2014 - 8:45 PM San Paolo Stadium — Naples Referee: Daniele Orsato Lippi: Juve virtually unbeatable Mar 27, 2014 Marcello Lippi has described Juventus as ‘virtually unbeatable’ ahead of their match with Napoli on Sunday. AMAZONIAN The World Cup winner had spells coaching both clubs and is anticipating a good match between the sides, though he thinks it will be hard for the Azzurri to finish second. “I am sure it will be a very good spectacle considering the way in which the two Coaches will approach it,” Lippi said to Ultimecalcionapoli.it. “Juventus really have shown themselves to be virtually unbeatable. AMAZONIAN “Napoli still have the chance to fight, although the odds are against them, for second place. “I fear though that it will be difficult for them to overtake Roma. “In terms of how I think Napoli-Juventus will go, I think it will be an open game with any result possible.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

NAPOLI - JUVENTUS March 30, 2014 - 8:45 PM San Paolo Stadium — Naples Referee: Daniele Orsato ‘Insigne eager to score against Juve’ Mar 27, 2014 Lorenzo Insigne’s agent says his client is eager to bag a goal when Napoli take on Juventus this weekend. AMAZONIAN The Azzurri brushed aside struggling Catania last night but are 20 points behind the Old Lady in the Serie A table. “The first half of Catania-Napoli was important, then from the second half the team started to think about Juventus,” Antonio Otaiano told Radio Crc. “They are an extraordinary team. But I hope that without Tevez and with some good performances from the Partenopei players, Napoli will be able to get the victory. AMAZONIAN “Lorenzo is focused on the game and he has one things fixed in his mind, scoring a goal against Juventus. “Let’s hope he gets it.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

NAPOLI - JUVENTUS March 30, 2014 - 8:45 PM San Paolo Stadium — Naples Referee: Daniele Orsato Hamsik ‘can’t wait’ for Juve Mar 27, 2014 Napoli’s Marek Hamsik says he cannot wait for his side’s match against runaway Serie A leader Juventus on Sunday. AMAZONIAN The Partenopei won 4-2 at Catania last night to boost their hopes of a Champions League place but face a stern test against Antonio Conte’s men. “The first half of the game with Catania was all us,” Hamsik said on his official website. AMAZONIAN “We scored four goals and that decided the match. After the break Catania managed to score but in the end we controlled the game and brought the three points home. “Now I can’t wait for us to take on Juventus in the match on Sunday evening.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

NAPOLI - JUVENTUS March 30, 2014 - 8:45 PM San Paolo Stadium — Naples Referee: Daniele Orsato Trap: Napoli not far behind Juve Mar 27, 2014 Giovanni Trapattoni believes the current 20 point gap that exists between Juventus and Napoli exaggerates the difference in class between the teams. AMAZONIAN The 75-year-old reckons that while the Old Lady are clearly the best team in the country, Rafa Benitez’s Azzurri are not far behind. “Benitez has won a lot and he is experienced,” Trapattoni told Radio Crc ahead of this weekend’s match between the teams. AMAZONIAN “The Azzurri were unlucky in the match between the teams earlier in the season. But the Spanish Coach knows Juve’s weaknesses well. “Juventus this year have been incredibly consistent but, in terms if the quality of their play, they are not 20 points better than Napoli.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

NAPOLI - JUVENTUS March 30, 2014 - 8:45 PM San Paolo Stadium — Naples Referee: Daniele Orsato Napoli's goal is to catch Roma - Benitez The Spanish coach admits his side are not in the race to stop Juventus from winning the title and feels the Bianconeri will not miss Carlos Tevez when they clash on Sunday. Mar 27, 2014 Napoli boss Rafael Benitez says his side's objective remains catching second-placed Roma following their win over Catania on Wednesday. AMAZONIAN The Partenopei stormed into a 4-0 first-half lead against Serie A's bottom club before ultimately sealing a 4-2 victory, moving them to within six points of Roma after playing a game more. Napoli host Juventus on Sunday in a tantalising clash but Benitez maintains he is not preoccupied with cutting the 20-point gap to the league leaders. "Our objective continues to be targeting Roma in second," he told Sky Sport Italia. AMAZONIAN "We have to do our work, continue winning and see where we end up. After the Juve game this weekend we'll have only one match per week and it'll be easier for us." Serie A top-scorer Carlos Tevez is set to be suspended for the encounter, but Benitez does not believe a squad the size of Antonio Conte's will be affected. "All their other forwards are of the highest level. I don't think a team with €300 million turnover will depend on one player, even a champion like Tevez," he said. AMAZONIAN Benitez admits his side lost control of proceedings against Catania in the second half but was thrilled with their attacking efforts, and had particular praise for Henrique following his superb goal and all-round performance. “We did very well in attack, but winning 4-0 at half-time it became difficult to maintain concentration," he added. "Catania showed great pride to get back into the game and we didn't control it very well. AMAZONIAN "We made many changes, as there are several players out injured. I chose Duvan Zapata because he's strong in the air and I also wanted to give Gonzalo Higuain a rest. We have to keep working, because we have to do better. "Henrique can play more or less anywhere and is tactically astute. He has the experience to control his performance in different roles." http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

NAPOLI - JUVENTUS March 30, 2014 - 8:45 PM San Paolo Stadium — Naples Referee: Daniele Orsato Pogba wary of Napoli challenge The France international says the Bianconeri must be at their best when they travel to Naples on Sunday. Mar 27, 2014 Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has warned his team-mates that they cannot let their performance levels slip ahead of Sunday’s Serie A clash with Napoli. AMAZONIAN Pogba was speaking to the media after Juventus’ 2-1 win over Parma on Wednesday, courtesy of two first half goals from Carlos Tevez. The win helped the Bianconeri stretched their lead at the top of the table to 14 points, but the France international was cautious of the threat posed by third-place Napoli. “We will have to play like we did in the first half against Parma,” Pogba told the press conference. AMAZONIAN "We are very happy for the win, once again we were able to bring home a very important result. We’re not talking about anything, we must continue to think only of this way, to have the same approach and always play well." Despite the win, the 21-year-old felt that his side missed the chance to kill the game off following the red card for Parma’s Amauri, who was dismissed for an elbow on Giorgio Chiellini. “In the second half, especially when we had numerical superiority, we let go, instead we must always be clinical. Sunday against Napoli will be a very important match, we cannot go wrong.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

No World Cup? I'll go to the seaside - Tevez The forward is not concerned over his absence from the Argentina setup and will continue to focus on his performances for his club. Mar 27, 2014 Carlos Tevez says he will "go to the seaside" if Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella decides not to call him up for the World Cup. AMAZONIAN Since taking the position in 2011, Sabella hasn’t selected Tevez for any of his squads, and with the World Cup in Brazil fast approaching Tevez is not worried about the coach’s next decision. “I do my job on the pitch and after that it's up to Sabella to decide whether I go to the World Cup or not, not me,” said Tevez, speaking to Sky. AMAZONIAN Tevez scored both goals in Juventus’ win over Parma on Wednesday, making him Serie A's top scorer with 18 goals and playing a pivotal role in a Bianconeri campaign that sees them lead the league by 14 points. "It's not up to me to pick up the phone and convince him," he added. If I don't get picked, I'll go to the seaside with my family."

JUVENTUS 2 - 1 PARMA Carlos Tévez (25′) Carlos Tévez (32′) Cristian Molinaro (62′) March 26, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Luca Banti Attendance: 38000 Tevez: I feel at home alongside formidable Pirlo The 30-year-old is relishing his spell in Italy under Antonio Conte and claims he is not interested in finishing as Serie A top scorer as long as his side win the title. Mar 27, 2014 Juventus striker Carlos Tevez says he feels "at home" within the Italian champions' squad, particularly alongside Andrea Pirlo. AMAZONIAN Tevez, who enjoyed a mercurial career in the English Premier League prior to his move to Serie A from Manchester City, has settled into life in Italy in some style, having scored 19 goals to date in all competitions this season. And the Argentine forward admits he is relishing his time with Antonio Conte and the "formidable" Juventus stars in Turin. "I feel at home in Italy, at Juve. These guys are formidable champions; Andrea Pirlo above all," he told Tuttosport. AMAZONIAN "Conte transmits a winning spirit: he always demands the best, and rightly so. You can see that we are a team on and off the field." The 30-year-old became Serie A's leading goalscorer this season with his double in the win over Parma on Wednesday, but he has stressed he is far more concerned with Juve defending their title than claiming the capocannoniere prize. "Being top scorer doesn't matter to me. The important thing is the victory for the team," he added. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS 2 - 1 PARMA Carlos Tévez (25′) Carlos Tévez (32′) Cristian Molinaro (62′) March 26, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Luca Banti Attendance: 38000 Juventus deserve trophies - Conte The 44-year-old says all of his players have been brilliant this season and hailed the "extraordinary" campaign they are having. Mar 27, 2014 Antonio Conte says his Juventus team still “surprise” him following the 2-1 win over Parma on Wednesday and says they are deserving of silverware again this season. AMAZONIAN Carlos Tevez scored twice in the first half as the reigning Serie A champions beat Parma 2-1 to stretch their current unbeaten run to 14 in all competitions and end the visitors' own run of 17 league matches without defeat. Conte praised his team - destined for a third successive Scudetto - after the victory for the effort and level of performance they have put in this year and says they are having an “extraordinary” campaign. “This was a wonderful victory against a team that was unbeaten in 17 games and they showed their strength tonight,” he told Sky Sport Italia. AMAZONIAN “You don’t go on a run like that if you don’t have quality. I have run out of words to praise the team for playing every three days with no room for rotation. “I know the players are pushing all the way and some need to rest, but we can’t afford to do that jut now. “So far the campaign has been extraordinary, but as I always say records aren’t worth much if you don’t get something tangible at the end of it. AMAZONIAN “This team deserves a trophy, as they often even surprise me.” Tevez was booked which means he is suspended for the next tie against Napoli, but Conte says they can cover for the loss of the Argentine striker. “Carlos won’t be there, but we will have someone else. We try to get the best out of the individuals via the collective. AMAZONIAN “We are relaxed, especially after this victory over an excellent side.” Parma had not been beaten in Serie A since November 2, when Roberto Donadoni's men were defeated on home turf by the Bianconeri. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS 2 - 1 PARMA Carlos Tévez (25′) Carlos Tévez (32′) Cristian Molinaro (62′) March 26, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Luca Banti Attendance: 38000 Juventus 2-1 Parma: 6 Things We Learned Mar 27, 2014 Juventus picked up all three points and snapped Parma's hot streak while extending their own on Wednesday night. AMAZONIAN Carlos Tevez bagged a couple of goals to jump ahead of Ciro Immobile in the race for the Capocannoniere. Cristian Molinaro's rocket volley halved the deficit, but Roberto Donadoni's hopes of salvaging a point went up in smoke when Amauri elbowed Giorgio Chiellini, earning a straight red card. The Bianconeri held on for their 15th consecutive home victory, a new Serie A record. AMAZONIAN James Horncastle @JamesHorncastle Juventus still perfect at home in Serie A this season. 15 wins. New record. Surpasses the 14 Torino managed in 75-76. Extraordinary #Juve Here are six things we learned. AMAZONIAN Tevez Is the Front-Runner for the Capocannoniere Now Carlos Tevez can be considered the favourite to claim the Capocannoniere this season. Not only he has edged ahead of Torino's Immobile, but his form has been sensational. He has five goals in his last five starts in the league, reaching 17 goals for the season. Given that he is now assuming more responsibility in the side, gathering the ball in deeper areas and running at the opposition, he has more opportunities to score. AMAZONIAN Earlier in the season, he was working off the front a lot more and waiting for service to arrive to him rather than creating chances for himself. Tevez is clearly motivated by the opportunity to win such a prestigious award in his first season, and it appears probable that he will succeed. AMAZONIAN Amauri May Find Himself out in the Cold Moving Forward Amauri showed ill discipline against Juventus by giving the referee little choice but to send him off for an elbow toward Chiellini as the pair challenged for a header. The Brazilian received something of a surprise start ahead of the in-form Ezequiel Schelotto, joining guaranteed starters Jonathan Biabiany and Antonio Cassano. Roberto Donadoni may have lost patience now, though, and the more mobile trio could receive a good run of games together. AMAZONIAN Schelotto and Biabiany flanking Cassano would give the Crociati tremendous industry down the flanks as well as decent service. It would also give Cassano more action through the middle of the pitch, granting the Gialloblu more of a cutting edge. Amauri will need to work his way back into the side and may have to prove himself from the bench for a while. AMAZONIAN Osvaldo Could Begin to Oust Llorente from the Starting Line-Up Dani Osvaldo is starting to factor into Antonio Conte's mind about whether he should partner Carlos Tevez moving forward. Fernando Llorente is the current partner, and the Spaniard has enjoyed a good season. But the former Athletic Bilbao striker is far from assured of his place, and Conte may be tempted to integrate the Azzurri international into the XI moving forward. AMAZONIAN Osvaldo is technically superior to Llorente and can produce the spectacular, so how he is used for the remainder of the season will be fascinating. Conte is more than likely to make his loan move from Southampton permanent in the summer, but if he uses him heavily in the closing weeks, his price could soar if he fires, which would be detrimental to the club's transfer kitty. There will surely be enough game time for the 28-year-old to showcase what he is capable of though, as a permanent move will more than likely suggest that Conte intends to use him as a starter. AMAZONIAN Donadoni's Streak Ends, but He Has Made His Point Roberto Donadoni's incredible unbeaten streak has come to an end, but the former Azzurri manager has completely reinvigorated his managerial career and has re-established himself as a top coach in Italian football. This 17-match run has shown what he can do, as he has overachieved with the Gialloblu. Obtaining a Europa League place for the club would cap off a sensational season. He must now be at the top of the list for all of the big managerial positions that will become vacant in the near future. AMAZONIAN Even clubs that don't have vacancies, such as Milan, could do with getting in touch with Parma and enquiring as to the availability of the former Rossoneri legend. Parma are one of Italian football's biggest clubs, and after this season, with, or without Donadoni, they should be able to maintain their position in the upper echelons of the league. AMAZONIAN Vidal Is Not Hiding, Despite Struggling for Form Arturo Vidal is having a good season, but he has gone off the boil in recent weeks. The Chilean is not hiding though, which is showing tremendous character. "El Guerrero" is still making the runs from midfield and beyond the front two, which is such a significant part of his game. AMAZONIAN He played a big part in Tevez's second goal, bursting beyond the Argentine to gather the ball inside the penalty area and force a smart save from Antonio Mirante. The Parma keeper parried the ball into the path of the former City striker to give the Old Lady a two-goal cushion. Vidal appears to be close to regaining the form that made him Europe's most complete midfielder, and the fact that he is not shrinking is the main reason. AMAZONIAN Paletta Showed Why Prandelli Has Decided to Make Him an Italy International Gabriel Paletta showed why Cesare Prandelli has decided to make him an Italian international. The Argentine-born centre-back was tremendous for the most part, with some fine distribution out from the back to give the Crociati the foundation to build large spells of possession. The 28-year-old completed 96 percent of his passes, per WhoScored.com, which was the highest accuracy from all starters on the pitch from both sides. AMAZONIAN Furthermore, according to WhoScored.com, he made five interceptions, five tackles and seven interceptions, blocked two shots and won four aerial duels to complete a superb defensive display. It was ironic that he was excellent at the Juventus Stadium, the home of Angelo Ogbonna, who will likely miss out on a World Cup place due to a poor decision to join the Bianconeri—a side he had very little hope of gaining a regular place in the line-up. Ogbonna's loss is Paletta's gain, and the Parma stalwart will be an excellent option for the Azzurri this summer, based on this form. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS 2 - 1 PARMA Carlos Tévez (25′) Carlos Tévez (32′) Cristian Molinaro (62′) March 26, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Luca Banti Attendance: 38000 Pogba wants Juve record Mar 27, 2014 Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba says he wants the Old Lady to set a Serie A points record this season. AMAZONIAN Antonio Conte’s side beat Parma last night and have now won their last seven league games to remain on course to break the 100 points mark. “We absolutely need to keep playing the way we are if we want to get the record,” Pogba told Mediaset Premium today. “We need to be ruthless because that is the only way to keep winning. AMAZONIAN “The match against Parma was an important one in terms of the Scudetto. “The game against Napoli on Sunday will be key and we need to remain concentrated.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS 2 - 1 PARMA Carlos Tévez (25′) Carlos Tévez (32′) Cristian Molinaro (62′) March 26, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Luca Banti Attendance: 38000 Tevez: Shame to miss Napoli Mar 27, 2014 Carlos Tevez says he is unconcerned about leading the Serie A scoring charts or making Argentina’s squad, but regrets his absence against Napoli. AMAZONIAN The Bianconeri defeated Parma in midweek thanks to the No 10’s first-half double, which took him clear at the top of the scoring charts with 18 goals. For the 30-year-old, though, attention is not on whether he remains there come the end of the season. “I am not thinking about the Capocannoniere, I think only of the team,” Tevez told reporters after yesterday’s win. AMAZONIAN “The victory against Parma is important, it is a positive result after a difficult game. We want to close out the championship as soon as possible. “My first goal came after such grit and anger? Well, this is my way of playing - I am like this and I think it is a positive thing for the team.” Tevez will miss the weekend trip to Napoli, however, after picking up a suspension-inducing yellow card yesterday. AMAZONIAN “The booking I picked up means I will miss the match against Napoli, I am sad about that. And to think that Conte wanted to replace me just before I picked up that yellow card… “I am certain it will be a great match, the Azzurri are playing good football and the atmosphere will be hot. “Put it this way, though, I will rest a little, recharge the batteries, in view of Lyon [next midweek]. Mentally I am calm, whilst sooner or later a goal in Europe will come - it cannot be a hassle. AMAZONIAN “But, one step at a time! First, a day of rest, which Conte has granted, then Napoli and then only after that will we think about the Europa League.” The striker will unlikely be involved at the World Cup this summer, as he has not been picked by Coach Alejandro Sabella for over two years. “We always talk about me not being called up by Argentina, but what can I say? I do a good job, but it is not my decision. AMAZONIAN “If I do well and he does not call me, that is his problem. It’s up to Sabella to decide. I cannot just call him and ask why he doesn’t want me. “There is little to go, I believe that this summer, rather than playing football at the World Cup, I will have to play golf.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS 2 - 1 PARMA Carlos Tévez (25′) Carlos Tévez (32′) Cristian Molinaro (62′) March 26, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Luca Banti Attendance: 38000 Juve break another record after securing 15 consecutive home wins Mar 27, 2014 Champions know how to suffer, champions know how to exploit and champions know how to grind out important victories. Juventus force one to indulge in hyperbole. AMAZONIAN Not only have they broken a record by collecting 15 consecutive Serie A wins, but they are a team that suffered and toiled to inflict a 2-1 defeat on a Parma side that has not tasted a league loss since the reverse fixture in November. Parma are having a tremendous season playing the type of football worthy of a place in Europe. Tactically disciplined, Roberto Donadoni’s men boast pace, the ability to work between the lines and players capable of making the difference. Most importantly, they are a side that work fluently and cohesively together meaning they are not dependent on any one player but on the team’s mental fortitude and organised game plan. Having toyed with a 3-5-2 formation, Donadoni has focused on the 4-3-3 for much of the season. Tonight, as he did with Atalanta only a few weeks ago, he reverted to the 3-5-2 against Juventus in an attempt to have a foothold in midfield and not allow the Bianconeri midfielders the opportunity to overwhelm. AMAZONIAN Organised and careful to close down spaces, the Ducali were quick to demonstrate the intelligence of their players. The particular characteristic of this side is their ability to create space for one another to exploit and it didn’t take long before their excellent movement in attack allowed Cristian Molinaro the opportunity to attempt a right footed shot that forced Gianluigi Buffon into action. Yet, despite the impressive movements, Parma were guilty of making a few too many errors which one can never do against this Juve. The Old Lady knows how to make the most of her chances and it didn’t take long before Carlos Tevez held off Gabriel Paletta and shot from a tight angle to score the opener. As if that wasn’t opportunistic enough, the second goal came only seven minutes later when the Argentine punished Antonio Mirante for parrying the ball to score from the rebound. From there on, it was difficult for the away side to do much. Heads dropped and they didn’t press high enough to cause the home side any distress thus allowing Juventus to effectively control the match. AMAZONIAN However, the beauty of this Parma side is their mental fortitude. They are simply not a team that are willing to take a beating without giving a response. They started the second half with renewed enthusiasm and slowly but surely began to impose their style of play with Donadoni make a double change in the 60th minute. Unfortunately for them, Amauri threw a spanner in the works. There must be something about Giorgio Chiellini’s face that provokes an elbow as for the second consecutive game, Juve’s opponents had a man sent off for elbowing the defender. Catania’s Gonzalo Bergessio twice elbowed the centre-back to eventually get sent off while Amauri, a former Bianconeri striker, was shown a straight red for leaning into his elbow. Down to ten men, the Gialloblu still played with hope, fought for possession and made the right runs to penetrate effectively. In fact in the second half, they managed a higher number of accurate passes and more of them in the final third that created more chances from open play. If we were to assess the average position of each player on the pitch overall, Parma played with more men siting in front of the half-way line than Juventus. As Donadoni said, “If we put our characteristics at the forefront then we can cause anyone problems.” Indeed they can and they remained focused and determined until the end in hopes they could make the most of Juve’s exhaustion. AMAZONIAN As for Juventus, what can one say about a side worthy of a symphony of compliments for the remarkable season they are having. It is true they suffered and failed to capitalise on the fact they played with an extra man for 25 minutes but there is only so much that can be expected from a side that is physically and mentally exhausted. They are not only partaking in European competition as well as domestic games but they are facing Serie A sides desperate to make an impact against them. They are after all the most loved and hated side in Italy. Whether it’s Catania’s intimidation skills, Genoa’s relentless style of play or Parma’s effective tactics, it’s difficult to prepare, play and win all these matches. It’s a testament to both Antonio Conte and his men when one considers all their accomplishments, managing to break another record tonight: 15 consecutive home victories. Up next is Napoli but sadly we wont be seeing Tevez flexing his goalscoring muscles after earning a yellow card that will see him suspended for the much anticipated match. Yet somehow the feeling is Juve will cope as they always do. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS 2 - 1 PARMA Carlos Tévez (25′) Carlos Tévez (32′) Cristian Molinaro (62′) March 26, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Luca Banti Attendance: 38000 Donadoni: 'Proud of Parma' Mar 26, 2014 Roberto Donadoni was “proud” of Parma for pushing Juventus right to the end even after Amauri’s red card. AMAZONIAN “It’s satisfying that we put in a strong performance even with 10 men, but the result was a little harsh. It’s also true in the first half we lacked the grit and determination we showed after the break,” he told Sky Sport Italia after a 2-1 defeat. “We went 2-0 down and that made it a complicated situation, but the reaction was excellent and it’s never easy for anyone in this stadium. “This game has to teach us what it means to face teams like Juventus and if we put our characteristics at the forefront then we can cause anyone problems.” AMAZONIAN Donadoni was seen talking to referee Banti after the final whistle, as there were last-gasp penalty appeals for a Leonardo Bonucci challenge on Marco Parolo. “I am proud of what the lads did, but the rest is not up to me. We can sit here discussing it for as long as we like, but it won’t change anything. “There are three matches this week, so we can’t waste energy in pointless controversy. Ex-players like me know there is a certain smartness required on the field and it has to be judged in a split-second, so it’s not simple.” AMAZONIAN Parma’s club record 17-match unbeaten run has come to an end, but they are still in sixth place. “If I said we didn’t have an objective, it’d be like me saying I wanted to sell vegetables. We have to continue, game by game, but it won’t change if I now say we want to go into the Europa League or Champions League. We have to rely on facts and we’ll see at the end what those facts are.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS 2 - 1 PARMA Carlos Tévez (25′) Carlos Tévez (32′) Cristian Molinaro (62′) March 26, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Luca Banti Attendance: 38000 Conte: 'Juve even surprise me' Mar 26, 2014 Antonio Conte said Juventus “often even surprise me” after a new Serie A record to beat Parma 2-1. AMAZONIAN “This was a wonderful important victory against a team that was unbeaten in 17 rounds and they showed their strength again this evening,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia. “You don’t put up a run like that if you don’t have quality. Let’s not forget we are in an emergency situation, so I have run out of words to praise these lads for playing every three days with no space for squad rotation. “I am well aware the lads are pushing all the way and some need to rest, but at the moment we can’t afford to do that. So far the campaign has been extraordinary, but as I always say records aren’t worth much if you don’t get something tangible at the end of it. AMAZONIAN “These lads deserve a trophy, as often they even surprise me.” This was a record 15th consecutive home victory, but Carlos Tevez will be suspended against Napoli at the weekend after picking up a yellow card. “Carlos won’t be there, but we will have someone else. We try to get the best out of the individuals via the collective. AMAZONIAN “We are relaxed, especially after this victory over an excellent side.” Juventus are the only Serie A side left in Europe for the second year running. "We do feel that pressure on Juventus, as once again we are alone in holding up the name of Italy. I still say a 20-team League is not helpful, as there is no time to rest and it causes more injuries." http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS 2 - 1 PARMA Carlos Tévez (25′) Carlos Tévez (32′) Cristian Molinaro (62′) March 26, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Luca Banti Attendance: 38000 Player Ratings Antonio Conte's side take another significant step towards a third successive Scudetto as Carlos Tevez's double ends the Crociati's 17-game unbeaten league run. Mar 26, 2014 JUVENTUS Gianluigi Buffon - The Italy shotstopper was rarely troubled but he made a vital contribution when he denied Molinaro the opening goal with a fine reflex save. Martín Cáceres - The Uruguayan did not put a foot wrong in the defence, producing a number of crucial blocks and headers to frustrate the Parma attack. Leonardo Bonucci - Merged a good understanding alongside Chiellini and Caceres, marshalling Cassano to good effect. Giorgio Chiellini - The rugged centre-back was the victim of Amauri's elbow and he produced a solid display to contain the former Juve striker. Stephan Lichtsteiner - The Swiss wing-back found himself largely restricted to defensive duties and he often left Molinaro unmarked while struggling to assist the Juventus attack. Paul Pogba - A powerful performance from the Frenchman who proved an effective link between the defence and attack with his high work rate, tackling skills and impressive distribution. Andrea Pirlo - Not one of his finest evenings in the Bianconeri jersey. Pirlo was sloppily caught in possession on several occasions and failed to provide the usual fountain of chances for his team-mates. Arturo Vidal - A typical tenacious box-to-box performance from Vidal who broke up the Parma attack brilliantly and assisted Tevez's second goal when his effort was parried by Mirante. Kwadwo Asamoah - The Ghanaian produced a good attacking outlet on the overlap though he can consider himself fortunate not to have been sent off as he struggled with Biabiany's pace. CARLOS TEVEZ - The Argentine is now the leading goalscorer in Serie A after netting twice this evening. He was a constant menace to the Parma defence with his pace and intelligent movement. Fernando Llorente - The Spanish forward struggled to make an impact against the Parma defence though he did get himself into a number of dangerous positions. AMAZONIAN Substitutions Claudio Marchisio - Helped Juventus to retain possession late on and produced a wonderful last-ditch block in stoppage time to deny Schelotto the equaliser. Mauricio Isla - The Chilean was a welcome addition from the Juventus bench as he added defensive stability in the face of Parma's willingness to attack. Fabio Quagliarella - First-team chances have been at a premium for Quaglirella this season and although he was heavily involved when coming off the bench, he did look rusty in front of goal. AMAZONIAN PARMA Antonio Mirante - The Bianconeri academy graduate commanded his area expertly and produced a number of smart stops to deny the Juventus attack. Gabriel Paletta - The recent Italy debutant has been applauded as one of Serie A's finest defenders this season. However, his constant struggle against Tevez's movement and pace ensured it was an evening to forget. Alessandro Lucarelli - The Parma captain was insurmountable in the air and marshalled Llorente to good effect. He also got forward to assist the attack but squandered a presentable first-half opportunity. Felipe - Failed to justify his inclusion in the side as he was often caught the wrong side of Tevez. Cristian Molinaro - Looked defensively solid and capitalised on the attacking licence given to him in the 3-5-2 formation by scoring an unstoppable effort to give Parma hope. Marco Parolo - Looked tidy in possession and although he did not demonstrate his attacking prowess, he offered good protection to the defence. Marco Marchionni - Impressed on his return to the side, suffocating Pirlo with his quick pressing game and allowing the Juventus midfield little time to settle. Joel Obi - The on-loan Inter man struggled to get to grips with Pogba and Vidal in the midfield and failed to create chances for his team-mates. Jonathan Biabiany - He looked Parma's most dangerous attacking threat with his pace on the counter. However, he sometimes struggled to find an end product in the final third and was restricted by Donadoni's deployment of an unfamiliar 3-5-2 formation. Amauri - It was a nightmare return to Turin for the 33-year-old who was easily marked by the Juventus centre-backs. He was shown a straight red card for an elbow on Chiellini when his side were getting back into the contest. Antonio Cassano - Failed to add to his 11 Serie A goals as he was double marked by the Juventus defence. However, he did show several glimpses of his magic by setting up a number of first-half openings. AMAZONIAN Substitutions Mattia Cassani - Added defensive stability to Parma following Amauri's dismissal and it was his cross which led to Molinaro's goal. Ezequiel Schelotto - Was unlucky to start on the bench after impressing in recent weeks. Went close to snatching an equaliser in the final minutes. Afriyie Acquah - The Ghanaian, on loan from Hoffenheim, added fresh legs to the tiring Parma midfield but he could not make his mark on proceedings. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS 2 - 1 PARMA Carlos Tévez (25′) Carlos Tévez (32′) Cristian Molinaro (62′) March 26, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Luca Banti Attendance: 38000 Juventus 2 - Parma 1: Initial reaction and random observations One unbeaten run rolls on, another unbeaten run comes to an end. You'll never guess which one! Mar 26, 2014 Few times this season has Carlos Tévez's Tour de Force in Serie A truly been stopped. There have been goals — lots of them. There have been assists — a team-high six of them. There's just been a whole lot of Tévez going on this season and only a small number of games this season has his impact been not been completely silenced by the opposition. AMAZONIAN On Wednesday night at Juventus Stadium, we got the first part of the equation. Translation: We got ourselves some Tevez goals. Tevez was the difference against Serie A's other lengthy unbeaten run, as his first-half brace led Juve to a 2-1 win over Parma in Turin. Two more goals for a guy who has been scoring for fun in Serie A this season. And just when it looked like Ciro Immobile might enjoy more than just 24 hours atop the league's scoring chart, Tevez snatched the lead right back into his favor with his 17th and 18th goals of the season. AMAZONIAN Sorry, kid. I still like you. Paolo Bandini @Paolo_Bandini Juventus paid €9m for Tevez this summer. That's €2m less than Milan paid for Alessandro Matri. Just saying. Just sayin', guys. In what ended up being a nervy ending — hey, haven't heard that about Juventus these past few weeks, right? — it was Tévez's goals that stood the tallest. That's the kind of player that Juventus was lacking in attack for the past few years. Sure, they had good strikers, but Tévez is more than just a good striker. He's got the No. 10, and he deserves to No. 10. AMAZONIAN Just further confirmation that #Tevezmania is taking over Turin. JuventusFC ✔ @juventusfcen #Pogba: "We struggled a bit in the second half and late on, in spite of our numerical advantage. We can't let this happen again." #JuveParma Amen, Paul. AMAZONIAN Random thoughts and observations • Eighteen goals and counting for Carlos Tevez this season. Here's your reminder that there's still nearly two months of the season left. • But no Tevez against Napoli over the weekend because of the yellow card he picked up in the second half. • Cristian Molinaro's first legit cross attempt from the left wing went flying into the stands. For a guy who has spent the past couple of years in Germany before making comeback to Italy this past January, it's like he never left. AMAZONIAN And then he had to go and score a goal. That jerk. • Molinaro's goal ended what was a Juventus run of over 500 minutes without a goal. Even more impressive when you consider that 1) the team hasn't been playing well at all the past month or so; 2) the defense has been basically a revolving door because of the injury situation. • Antonio Conte wears his classic hat, Juventus wins. It's simple science, folks. AMAZONIAN • Roberto Donadoni's gonna be all like "#IBlameAmauri" isn't he? Or was Amauri so invisible during his time on the field that getting a red card didn't matter at all? • Gigi Buffon wasn't too busy on Wednesday night, making only two official saves against Parma. But man oh man, both of those saves were huge — especially the second one, which was followed by some absolute mayhem in the penalty area. In a game that started out like it wouldn't have many heart attack-inducing moments, that one definitely took the cake. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
