Serie A Week 3 - 18/9/11 (15:00) - Artemio Franchi Stadium - Siena Vucinic starts for Juventus against Siena at the expense of Del Piero The Montenegro international has been given the nod ahead of the experienced forward as head coach Antonio Conte meets his former employers. Sep 18, 2011 Juventus coach Antonio Conte has made two changes to the team which defeated Parma 4-1 on matchday one of the 2011-12 Serie A campaign as they face Siena on Sunday afternoon. Former Roma attacker Mirko Vucinic will start up front alongside Alessandro Matri, meaning Alessandro Del Piero will have to watch from the bench. Meanwhile, Fabio Grosso has replaced the suspended Paolo De Ceglie at left-back. Serbian winger Milos Krasic again starts from the bench, as does Arturo Vidal despite his superb substitute appearance last week. Siena coach Giuseppe Sannino has opted for a 4-4-2 formation with Emanuele Calaio and Pablo Gonzalez as his side's two forwards and Gaetano D'Agostino looking to pull the strings from midfield. Siena: Brkic; Vitiello, Rossettini, Terzi, Del Grosso; Mannini, Gazzi, D'Agostino, Brienza; Calaio, Gonzalez Subs: Pegolo, Contini, Angelo, Bolzoni, Grossi, Vergassola, Larrondo Juventus: Buffon; Lichtsteiner, Barzagli, Chiellini, Grosso; Marchisio, Pirlo; Pepe, Matri, Vucinic, Giaccherini Subs: Storari, Bonucci, Vidal, Krasic, Del Piero, Elia, Quagliarella

Marchisio or Vidal - Who should be a starter in Juventus' midfield? The two are currently going head-to-head for a starting shirt, with the youth product currently being preferred. Our team of experts have had their say on the selection dilemma. Sep 18, 2011 ANALYSIS Juventus' sprightly pre-season and dazzling opening day win over Parma have seen many raise an eyebrow and wonder aloud whether they might be about to take the step back up to Champions League contention in 2011-12. One of the key points that observers are pointing to when putting forward the theory is the new-found competition for places at Vinovo. No more is that the case than in central midfield, where coach Antonio Conte now finds himself having to choose between Claudio Marchisio and Arturo Vidal for one spot alongside Andrea Pirlo in the boss' favoured 4-2-4 formation. While the youth product has been a first team squad member since 2006, he has thus far failed to cement himself as a regular in the centre - often being shifted to the left. On the other hand, the new

Serie A Week 3 - 18/9/11 (15:00) - Artemio Franchi Stadium - Siena Siena v Juventus: Preview Sep 17, 2011 Newly-promoted Siena are hopeful of springing a surprise against Juventus tomorrow despite their opponents' ominous opening game of the Serie A season. Juventus were ruthless as they demolished Parma 4-1 without ever really stepping out of first gear. Siena, meanwhile, enjoyed a positive return to Italy's top flight after holding Catania to a goalless draw in Sicily. Siena coach Giuseppe Sannino praised his players for their attitude in that game and believes the same approach will be required against Juve. He said: "It was a difficult game against Catania, but this team has a great spirit of sacrifice and willingness to fight right now." "Now we have to produce a similar performance against Juve, a team that will compete for the scudetto this season." Juventus coach Antonio Conte is set to get a warm reception when he returns to Siena just three months after leaving the club to join the Turin giants. Conte led Siena to promotion last season and sporting director Giorgio Perinetti said: "Conte is a friend of Siena. He is a talented coach and we were sad to see him leave." However, Siena will not hand Conte any favours on Sunday. "We want to beat Juve," Siena striker Emanuel Calaio said. "We know it's going to be difficult because they have many quality players." "But if we work hard then we can play a great game and perhaps surprise them." "The fact that we know how Conte wants his teams to play is an advantage for us and we will try to make the most of that." Conte will be without defender Paolo De Ceglie and injured striker Vincenzo Iaquinta. Midfielder Claudio Marchisio praised Juve's new coach, who demanded even more from his side despite their comfortable opening win. "On Sunday, despite the victory, he was angry at the goal we conceded," said Marchisio, a goalscorer in the Parma clash. "He's conveying quality of play to us, looking to always make us compact and focused. We needed someone who could give us that psychological release and now we should show the results of his work in every game, starting from Sunday." "It's games like the one against Siena which are important in order to stay at the top end of the table all the way through. They'll be at home, they'll have the crowd behind them and will be aggressive from the start."
