  9. Calciopoli: Evidence Of Inter Phonecalls Mysteriously Goes Missing!!! Luciano Moggi's defence raise questions over alleged missing evidence involving Inter... Mar 24, 2010 There has been another twist in the Calciopoli trial after new allegations regarding missing evidence came to light in the Tribunal of Naples, according to La Stampa. It centres around alleged phone calls between former referee designator Paolo Bergamo, his secretary and Inter. The court was told how Bergamo and his secretary spoke about a telephone call involving Inter president Massimo Moratti over a dinner he had organised in March 2005 to talk about refereeing problems he had become concerned with. There was also an alleged phone call between Moratti and Bergamo. But, when Luciano Moggi's defence team questioned Carabinieri chief investigator Colonel Auricchio, who was tasked with leading the 2006 investigation, he couldn't give an answer as to where evidence regarding these alleged phone calls had ended up. The court heard that, despite the investigation, there was no trace of the evidence in relation to calls between Moratti, Bergamo and his secretary, and that it had gone missing suspiciously. Suspicions as to the whereabouts of the evidence have been raised by Moggi's lawyers, who were keen to get an answer as to why the tapes could not be found. The trial continues. Many will remember Juventus had two Scudetti revoked in 2006 when the scandal came to light. Moggi also received a ban from the game which ends in the summer of 2011.
  10. Buffon's Agent Rejects Juventus Exit Talk Martina has hit out against the talk that Buffon wants away from Turin... Mar 24, 2010 Gianluigi Buffon's agent Silvano Martina is standing firmly alongside Juventus against all the reports which have linked the Italian with an exit. Newswires around the peninsula on Tuesday suggested the club were ready to cash in on Buffon and redesign the squad. Juventus denied the claims soon after when director Roberto Bettega said "Buffon is untouchable". And Martina is standing side by side with the club as he speaks out on the player's behalf. "I am with Juventus. For once and for all, Buffon is staying at Juventus," the agent told Tuttomercatoweb.com. Manchester City, Manchester United and Bayern Munich were all linked with the Italian goalkeeper. But Martina has rubbished the whispers. "These are all rumours without foundation, especially when they say he wants to leave the club," he added. "He is happy at Juventus and has no intention to leave. I think Juventus have also said he is not for sale."

  15. Roberto Bettega: Gianluigi Buffon Is Untouchable The shot-stopper is not for sale, according to the director... Mar 23, 2010 Juventus director Roberto Bettega has quashed the persistent rumours surrounding Gianluigi Buffon, saying that the goalkeeper will stay with the Turin outfit. Buffon has been linked with a move away from the Bianconeri this summer, but Bettega has labelled the Italy shot-stopper as "untouchable", dismissing earlier reports that the 32-year-old was gearing up to leave the Old Lady. "In regards to what was written about Buffon and his possible sale, I want to reassure the fans that Gigi is untouchable. He will remain at Juventus," the director affirmed. Bettega is also confident that the Bianconeri can shake off their recent woes and put together a positive performance against Napoli on Thursday night. "I am confident that the team will quickly return to showing what they can do, and what they did only recently. All the players will be ready and focused on Thursday's match," he said. Buffon has been linked to Manchester United, Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
