  1. Vieira: 'Pogba better than me!' Mar 4, 2014 Patrick Vieira believes Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba “is certainly more talented than I was.” AMAZONIAN The France legend tipped his 20-year-old heir to surpass him very soon after a remarkable rise through the ranks since he was allowed to leave Manchester United as a free agent. “Compared to me, Pogba is more attacking, whereas I was more defensively-minded,” Vieira told France Football and Tuttosport. “He pushes forward more and therefore scores more goals. He is also better on a technical level and is certainly more talented than I was. AMAZONIAN “He is a player capable of scoring 10 to 15 goals every year. In a three-man midfield I think it suits his style of football.” Pogba’s contract with Juventus expires in June 2016, but the club is already at a very advanced stage in renewal negotiations. It’s reported agent Mino Raiola wants to include a buy-out clause, but the Bianconeri are against the idea.
  2. Buffon: 'Casillas, Cech and I' Mar 4, 2014 Gigi Buffon believes the Cesare Prandelli-Juventus row was “a misunderstanding” and hailed Spain’s Iker Casillas. AMAZONIAN The friendly kicks off in Madrid on Wednesday at 22.00 CET, one of the last warm-ups before the World Cup. However, the last couple of days have been overshadowed by Juve complaints that Italy called Giorgio Chiellini when still recovering from an injury. “These are situations I cannot get involved in, especially as I don’t know what happened specifically and my role allows me to listen without judging,” said the Juventus and Italy goalkeeper in his Press conference. AMAZONIAN “I have enough experience to know it is best not to get involved. In any case, I believe it was a misunderstanding. Everyone thinks they are doing their best to look out for their team and that is true of both the Nazionale and Juve.” Buffon was asked whether he was considering his future and the possibility of stepping aside to let younger goalkeepers through. “Since my back surgery in 2010, I have had 50-60 games per year for the last three or four seasons. I am back to giving consistent performances, which means I am in good shape. AMAZONIAN “For a sportsman, the response is always on the pitch. That’s the response you journalists should look at too. If someone wants to try other options, then I will take that into account, without causing controversy.” Buffon remains the undisputed Number 1 for Juventus and Italy, whereas his Spanish counterpart Iker Casillas is struggling to get games at Real Madrid. AMAZONIAN “We managed to stay at the top level for 10-15 years, though it’s only normal that over such a long period of time there were some dips in form, but our strength has been our consistency. We weren’t the only top goalkeepers, as some forget Petr Cech, probably because he plays for the Czech Republic and not one of the bigger nations. "Mario Balotelli? We have great affection for him and he always makes us laugh in the locker room, but this Nazionale must not be dependent on anyone, including Andrea Pirlo or me."
  3. Deschamps: Pogba plays too much Mar 4, 2014 France Coach Didier Deschamps says he is concerned at the number of games Juventus star Paul Pogba has been playing over the last year. AMAZONIAN The former Bordeaux tactician was speaking as his side prepare to take on Holland in an international friendly tomorrow evening. “Paul has played so much since the U-20 World Cup,” Deschamps commented. “He has been preparing for games in different ways and he has been playing so often. “Juve and Antonio Conte cannot rest him, he is having a great season and they are also in the Europa League. AMAZONIAN “But he is young and they need to be careful with him.” Pogba has feature in 35 matches in all competitions so far this season, with 25 of those coming in Serie A.
  4. Chiellini trains alone for Italy Mar 4, 2014 Giorgio Chiellini trained virtually alone in Italy’s first session ahead of facing Spain, before a one-on-one with Cesare Prandelli. AMAZONIAN The Juventus defender has been the subject of a fall-out between club and country, after being included in this week’s squad to face La Roja in Madrid, despite having sat out the last three weeks for the Bianconeri with a calf injury. On from defending his decision to select the centre-back, though, CT Prandelli notably held a brief chat with Chiellini on the Ciudad Real Madrid training turf after yesterday evening’s workout, which saw the 29-year-old generally work alone out on the field. AMAZONIAN The squad’s goalkeepers also had a separate routine, whilst Dani Osvaldo, Mattia Destro, Lorenzo Insigne and Mattia De Sciglio all worked part of the session on the pitch. The rest of the selection, however, was confined to general gym work during this first session together.
  5. Llorente accepts Del Bosque decision Mar 4, 2014 Juventus striker Fernando Llorente has accepted Vicente Del Bosque’s decision not to call him up to the Spanish national squad. http://markting10.nl/ The 29-year-old will miss the friendly with Italy but is on course to win more trophies with his club side this season. “I need to accept Del Bosque’s decision,” Llorente said to Cadena Cope. “I would have liked to have been in the squad but Diego Costa is having an incredible season. http://markting10.nl/ “It would be a shame not to go to the World Cup but there is still a long time before the next squad is named. “I will do my best. http://markting10.nl/ “Juventus are having a good period. We have a great chance to win the League but we can’t relax yet. “In Italy everyone wants to win but at home we are very strong.”
  6. Del Bosque: Hard to include all Mar 4, 2014 Vicente del Bosque says that whilst Borja Valero, Jose Callejon and Fernando Llorente have impressed in Serie A, he is struggling for space in Spain. http://markting10.nl/ The in form trio all missed out on a spot in Del Bosque’s latest squad for Wednesday evening’s friendly in Madrid against Italy. Talking to the giornalaccio rosa dello Sport, the 63-year-old Champions League, World Cup and European Championship winner looked to explain why. “Today those who are not aware of what is happening abroad do not watch television,” began Del Bosque in response. http://markting10.nl/ “I know Borja perfectly, and since he was a kid. I have watched Fiorentina often recently and he has previously been called up with us. “But the competition in midfield is tremendous. It is impossible to call up everyone. “Callejon? He is doing very well, clearly he has the chance to be called up. This list is not definitive, it is only valid for the match with Italy. http://markting10.nl/ “But, I repeat, we have serious problems to fit into the squad the many excellent pieces that we have. “Is Llorente the most obvious absence? Yes, but someone from Chelsea may be wondering why Fernando Torres isn’t here, or from Tottenham on why Roberto Soldado isn’t, or from Atletico Madrid about David Villa. http://markting10.nl/ “It is not easy. For Fernando, it is important that he has moved on from what he experienced last year in Bilbao, that he now plays with continuity and is in contention at Juventus. “He is happy, the club also, so it is good. And he knows that we appreciate him very much, that he is not called up is one thing that bothers us.”
  7. MILAN 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (44′) Carlos Tévez (68′) March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Attendance:‬ 40000‎ Seedorf: Milan not trying to copy Juventus The Dutchman is not looking toward the Bianconeri for inspiration, yet believes Roma face a tough task to get back in the title race. Mar 4, 2014 Clarence Seedorf insists AC Milan are looking to create their own identity rather than try and copy the style that has brought Juventus so much success in recent years. http://markting10.nl/ The Turin side have dominated Serie A for the past two seasons and are on course to make it three domestic titles in a row following this weekend's 2-0 win over the Rossoneri at San Siro. However, Seedorf is not looking at the titleholders for inspiration, explaining that he has own ideas about how to bring the glory days back to the Giuseppe Meazza. "We are not trying to be like Juventus. We are Milan and we want to be like Milan," the Dutchman told reporters. http://markting10.nl/ Seedorf then went on to discuss the Serie A title race and admitted that Juventus appear to be sitting in pole position to retain the Scudetto, given Antonio Conte's men are now 11 points clear of second-placed Roma. "Indeed, it seems like the Bianconeri are out of their rivals' reach, but the title race is not over yet," he argued. "Roma are a great team and a comeback is always possible in football. But I admit that it's unlikely that Juventus will throw this lead away." http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  8. Tevez blasts title rivals: Juventus do their talking on the pitch The Argentine attacker is unimpressed with the Bianconeri's title rivals' media offensives and is delighted that Antonio Conte's men "effectively" sealed the Scudetto on Sunday. Mar 4, 2014 Carlos Tevez says that Juventus prefer to do their talking on the pitch rather than make bold claims about the title race and engage in debates over refereeing mistakes in the press. AMAZONIAN The reigning Italian champions defeated AC Milan 2-0 at San Siro on Sunday night to open up an 11-point lead over second-placed Roma in the Serie A standings, though the Giallorossi do have a game in hand. The Bianconeri have been repeatedly accused of benefiting from preferential treatment from referees this season but Tevez says that their rivals' accusations only serve to further motivate Antonio Conte's men. "The other teams are kicking up a fuss outside the pitch, while we do our talking on the pitch," the Argentine was quoted as saying by La giornalaccio rosa dello Sport. AMAZONIAN "Last weekend's win over Milan could effectively have handed us the Serie A title again." Tevez has been un sublime form for the Old Lady since joining from Manchester City last summer, scoring 15 goals in 26 Serie A appearances.
  9. Buffon: England clash key to Italy's World Cup hopes The Azzurri captain is desperate for Cesare Prandelli's men to get off to a good start as he is keen to avoid needing anything from their final game against Uruguay to progress. Mar 4, 2014 EXCLUSIVE By Romeo Agresti & Mark Doyle Gianluigi Buffon believes it is vital that Italy kick off their 2014 World Cup campaign with a win against England. AMAZONIAN The Azzurri and Roy Hodgson's side, who have been drawn in Group D alongside Uruguay and Costa Rica, will meet in Manaus on June 14. Buffon feels that the importance of getting off to a good start cannot be overstated, not least because he is keen to avoid the prospect of Italy needing to get something out of their final pool game, against la Celeste, in order to progress to the last 16. "Obviously, if we were to beat England in the first match, it would be a big step forward towards qualifying because, in the end, regardless of who you are up against, the first match is your business card, so to speak, and it infuses you with confidence and security for the following matches," the Italy captain told Goal at the launch of PUMA's new World Cup kit. AMAZONIAN "It's true that in the more recent matches we haven't managed to beat Uruguay very often, but it is also true that statistics are there to be proven wrong. "Also the match against Uruguay is the last of the group stage and I hope that it won't have to be the match of a lifetime, because that would mean that we have failed in the other two matches, or at least in one of them." Italy boss Cesare Prandelli is this summer expected to draw heavily upon the panel of players that reached the final of Euro 2012. AMAZONIAN However, Buffon is buoyed by the fact that the 23-year-old Mario Balotelli, who starred in Ukraine and Poland, could be joined in the Azzurri's World Cup squad by Lorenzo Insigne (22) and Marco Verratti (21), two starlets that the veteran shot-stopper believes are also blessed with enormous potential. "Balotelli, Insigne and Verratti are undoubtedly young and talented," the Juventus skipper enthused. "One (Balotelli) is maybe slightly more affirmed than the others, but ultimately their careers and their fortunes will only depend on their will to amaze and the effort they put into what is our profession and our sport."
  10. Buffon: Roma can win every game Mar 4, 2014 Juventus captain Gianluigi Buffon believes that Roma still have a chance at catching up with the Bianconeri before the end of the season. AMAZONIAN The Old Lady’s 2-0 victory over AC Milan at the San Siro on Sunday has brought them 11 points clear of second place Roma, and the 36-year-old is adamant that his team must maintain their lead in the Serie A table. Buffon spoke to Sky Sport Italia on Monday about Juve’s win over the Rossoneri, while also commenting on the Giallorossi’s ability to close the points gap, as they also have a game in hand. “Milan would have been able to stop us yesterday with better luck,” said the veteran goalkeeper. AMAZONIAN “We have made a great step forward in the Scudetto race, we earned three very important points. “Behind us is a Roma side that is of enormous value and can win all of their games from now until the end. “We have an important margin to manage and we will have to be good enough to administer it.”
  11. MILAN 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (44′) Carlos Tévez (68′) March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Attendance:‬ 40000‎ Milan 0-2 Juventus: 6 Things We Learned Mar 3, 2014 Juve completed a perfect week to extend their lead in the league and get a win over rivals Milan, compounding their miserable season. http://markting10.nl/ Goals from Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez were enough to give a below-par Bianconeri side a victory that is worrying for the overall standard of Italian football. Juve appear so strong that they do not even need to be remotely close to their best and they are capable of taking three points from one of the toughest away trips in the league—regardless of the Rossoneri's dismal season. Here are six things we learned. http://markting10.nl/ Tevez Should Go to the World Cup Carlos Tevez has risen to the cry from Juventini to deliver in big games and this week he has owned two of the more important contests in the context of the Old Lady's season. Victory in the Derby della Mole was expected, but Torino put up a great fight and Juve were able to edge over the line thanks to El Apache's wonderful half-volley. Carlitos came up trumps again at the San Siro on Sunday with a wonderful long-range strike, which dipped with swerve from side to side to bamboozle Christian Abbiati. http://markting10.nl/ Tevez provided his usual industry and selfless work for the side and it really does pose the question as to why this man is likely to not go to the World Cup. Tevez has not played for Argentina in almost three years and has never been called up by Alejandro Sabella. http://markting10.nl/ And while Argentina aren't exactly short of attacking options, there is no Argentine striker in better form currently. Simply put, Tevez deserves to go to the World Cup. http://markting10.nl/ Llorente Also Deserves to Be on His Way to Brazil This Summer Fernando Llorente is proving to be the perfect centre-forward for Juve and is finally developing an understanding with Tevez, with both scoring in the same match for the fourth time—previously, the pair struck together against Livorno, Atalanta and Hellas Verona. Llorente has battled hard to hold down his place in the side and has completely solidified that with a fine run of form that has seen him score 11 times in 23 league appearances. Those stats do not seem that impressive compared to the goal-heavy stats often seen in La Liga, but Serie A is a far tougher league to score in, and considering the year before he barely played for Athletic Bilbao, it is a remarkable transition achieved by the Lion King, as Juventini affectionately refer to him as. http://markting10.nl/ Diego Costa will surely be the No. 1 striker and while Vicente Del Bosque is not mad on centre-forwards, surely he will include at least two back-up options—although only Alvaro Negredo is a recognised striker in the current squad after the Atletico Madrid frontman. Llorente is proving he can adapt to a new style of play and his style should be an asset to Spain, even though it contrasts to their identity somewhat. He can be that live presence when La Roja are forced to play around the edges of the penalty area by a stubborn, disciplined defence. http://markting10.nl/ Vidal Missed Sorely, Despite Top-Class Back-Ups Arturo Vidal missed the big clash on Sunday through suspension, and despite Claudio Marchisio obviously being a great replacement, the Chilean was sorely missed. Without El Guerrero, Juve struggled to control the match, with Milan more than good value for the lead at several points in the match and surely undeserving of a defeat over the 90 minutes. His energy and work rate, particularly moving off the ball to provide an extra option for a team-mate in possession, are to be admired. http://markting10.nl/ And this is what seemed to be the problem for the Bianconeri versus Milan: a lack of options whenever in possession and those without the ball often too static. Conte will be glad to welcome back Vidal next game, as he will know that without him, they got away with one. http://markting10.nl/ Serie A Title Race Is over Unfortunately for the league's sake, the title race is over for another season, with this win more or less cementing a third successive title. Juve moved 11 points clear of Roma, who have a game in hand, which basically ends the Giallorossi's hopes of claiming the scudetto. Yes, there is a match between the sides at the Olimpico to come, but even if they win this game, they would need to overcome a further five points differential over the remaining 12 matches. http://markting10.nl/ It is an historic achievement for Juve, one which has not been done for 79 years. When the inevitable happens, this Juve side will have to be ranked as one of the best ever and the discussion will begin as to who should be considered greater than Conte's men. http://markting10.nl/ Juve Can Concentrate on the Europa League Now With an 11-point lead in the league, attentions will now turn to the Europa League. It may only be a consolation prize after a disastrous Champions League campaign, but with the final in Turin, it has to be one that they take seriously. It is a great opportunity to build a foundation of success in Europe with this group in order to build upon for next season as they look to make inroads into the knock-out stages of the Champions League. http://markting10.nl/ A tie with Fiorentina will be tough, especially after the Viola destroyed them 4-2 at the Artemio Franchi earlier in the season. But with Vincenzo Montella's men still harbouring hope of claiming third place in the league, the advantage will be with Juve in the build-up, with the ability to rest players in the league games before they meet. http://markting10.nl/ Conte will be bright enough to realise that this is a great opportunity to embed the mentality of European football into the group, familiarising them with the concept of two-legged ties and the different strategies and tactics that will be implemented. A Serie A and Europa League double will still be considered a success, despite the nightmare experienced in Istanbul. http://markting10.nl/ Buffon Back to His Best Gianluigi Buffon was in imperious form on Sunday as it was a rare occasion when Gigi was needed to be on his game with Milan peppering the Juve goal throughout the game. To ensure a clean sheet was kept was a remarkable achievement by Buffon, especially given the opportunities and pressure exerted by the Rossoneri. Buffon was rated the man of the match by Who Scored, and it was clear to see with the naked eye, in addition to examining the statistics, why the Azzurri No. 1 came out on top. http://markting10.nl/ Buffon pulled off eight saves, with the one to deny Kaka especially impressive. Interestingly, Buffon achieved more touches (60) of the ball than any other Juve player (per Who Scored), which was absolutely necessary. Milan's relentless pressure, particularly in the first half, forced Juve's defenders to use their keeper more often than usual as a sweeper. http://markting10.nl/ On occasions, Buffon would launch the ball downfield, but quite often he was clever enough to maintain possession by spreading the ball to the opposite flank. With 11 accurate long passes (per Who Scored), more than in any of the previous five matches, Buffon's distribution was key to Juve launching counter-attacks to relieve pressure absorbed and counter themselves in a more ruthless fashion than usually associated with this team. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  12. MILAN 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (44′) Carlos Tévez (68′) March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Attendance:‬ 40000‎ Llorente: AC Milan made it difficult for us Mar 3, 2014 Juventus striker Fernando Llorente has commended his side for coming through a difficult test against AC Milan on Sunday evening. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri eventually ran out 2-0 winners at San Siro, with goals from Llorente and Carlos Tevez either side of half time extending their lead at the top of the table to 11 points, but the Rossoneri also made a good account of themselves on the night. “It was a difficult game, they played well in the first half, putting us under pressure,” the 29-year-old told Mediaset after the final whistle. “We didn’t expect that, and it cost us a little, but in the end we had a good passage of play leading up to the first goal, and after the interval we played better.” http://markting10.nl/ Spain head coach Vincente Del Bosque recently stated that he felt guilty at having left the Basque forward out of la Furia Roja squad for Wednesday evening’s friendly against Italy at the Estadio Vincente Calderon. “The World Cup is a while away,” he continued. “The road is long and we still have a lot to prove from now until the end of the season. Anything can happen.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  13. MILAN 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (44′) Carlos Tévez (68′) March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Attendance:‬ 40000‎ Seedorf: Only a tank can stop Juventus Mar 3, 2014 AC Milan coach Clarence Seedorf believes Juventus can only be stopped by a “tank” after his side became the latest to lose to the Bianconeri. http://markting10.nl/ Juve opened up an 11-point advantage at the top of Serie A on Sunday night thanks to a 2-0 win at the San Siro. Antonio Conte's side could count themselves fortunate to come away with all three points, though, after being put under persistent pressure by the Rossoneri, but for all their efforts, the home side could not break through. Carlos Tevez's 25-yard piledriver and Fernando Llorente's opener, which the Argentina international helped set up, separated the two adversaries. http://markting10.nl/ "Only a tank can stop Juve," Seedorf said. "They have always shown their strength and today, [Carlos] Tevez made the difference. He's a world-class player. That touch on the way to the 1-0 was sensational, and then he scored a goal similar to the kind I scored during my career. All you can do is applaud." With 21 shots to 10, and 58 percent possession, Milan warranted more against the Serie A leaders. http://markting10.nl/ However, it is precisely that ruthlessness which Seedorf believes currently leaves Juve in a league of their own. "We had plenty of opportunities, but we weren't able to turn them into goals," he said. "The difference is that they have such reliable players, but we've got players like that too, just think of Kaka." http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  14. Juve fought through San Siro suffering - Marotta The CEO praised his team after they increased their lead at the top of Serie A, but warns there is room for improvement in European competitions. Mar 3, 2014 Juventus chief executive Giuseppe Marotta is delighted with the team defeated AC Milan 2-0 on Sunday despite being up against it for much of the match. AMAZONIAN The Scudetto holders beat the Rossoneri 2-0 thanks to goals from Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez and the victory has seen them increase their lead to 11 points at the top of the Serie A after second-placed Roma could only draw against Inter. "I want to recognise the great quality that this group has," the club CEO told Sky Sport. "They have done a great job and got a very important victory. "Milan worried us. We know you can suffer against them but we have proven ourselves to be strong." AMAZONIAN Marotta went on to praise head coach Antonio Conte and his team, but he still believes there is room for improvement in continental competitions. "We are a large group led by a great coach but everything can be improved," he added. "Especially in a European perspective, but at the moment it is too early to talk about this."
  15. Prandelli bites back at Conte: I had the right to call up Chiellini The Bianconeri trainer had accused his national team counterpart of exhibiting a lack of courtesy by selecting a player that he claims is not in the right condition to play. Mar 3, 2014 Cesare Prandelli has hit back at Juventus boss Antonio Conte over Giorgio Chiellini's controversial call-up for Wednesday's friendly with Spain by stating that it his "right" as Italy boss to be able to select whatever players he sees fit. AMAZONIAN The Bianconeri boss had reacted angrily to the defender's inclusion in the Azzurri squad, claiming that Chiellini was not fit to feature at the Vicente Calderon given the 29-year-old had been sidelined for three weeks with a calf injury before being named on the bench for Sunday's Serie A win at AC Milan. Conte claimed that Prandelli had been guilty of showing him a lack of courtesy by picking Chiellini, who did not feature at San Siro, but the Italy boss says he has done absolutely nothing wrong. "We keep in close contact with all the coaches," the 56-year-old told reporters at the launch of the Azzurri's new PUMA strip in Milan on Monday. "We have been given maximum availability. AMAZONIAN "Our medics are in contact with the medics of the clubs two weeks before the squad announcement. If a player is on the bench with his club, I have the right to call him up. "The Juve medic sent a text to the national team's medic saying that all of his players were fine. "It's also our last friendly before the World Cup. It is important to be here even if you're not playing." AMAZONIAN Prandelli also said that he remains available to discuss the issue if either Conte or Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta are seeking any further explanation for Chiellini's call-up. "When Marotta has a problem, he can call me and I always respond," the former Fiorentina coach stated. "I was expecting a call from them."
  16. Buffon full of praise for Prandelli Mar 3, 2014 Gianluigi Buffon has praised Italian national team Coach Cesare Prandelli, claiming the tactician is a ‘spokesman for the nation’. AMAZONIAN Since taking charge of the Azzurri in 2010, the former Fiorentina man has guided the nation to the final of Euro 2012 and qualification to this summer’s World Cup. And the goalkeeper has claimed that the 56-year-old is s superb leader, as well as an arbiter of high standards. “Prandelli has demonstrated that he is a very intelligent and capable person,” the Azzurri captain told Goal.com. AMAZONIAN “He is a tranquil person who has managed to interact and engage in dialogue with the people, even about the problems of our country. “He has made himself the spokesman of the nation, giving clear signals like having the presence of the national team in whichever area of the country was undergoing particular problems. “And these are signals that certainly help unite the Italian football fans with the team.” AMAZONIAN The Juventus shot-stopper then commented on his country’s chances in Brazil this summer. “I have won a World Cup, but I don't know if a recipe for winning it again exists. Surely what exists is the opportunity, because after winning in 2006 I didn't have a chance to be a protagonist again, given the fact that in South Africa [when Italy were eliminated in the group stage] I only managed to play one half before leaving the pitch for injury. “Now I have another possibility, which I have to take advantage of to the fullest in order not to have any regrets.”
  17. MILAN 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (44′) Carlos Tévez (68′) March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Attendance:‬ 40000‎ ‘Milan can compete with Juve’ Mar 3, 2014 Adriano Galliani has enthused at the growth he has seen in Milan and remarked at how there was ‘no difference’ yesterday with Juventus. http://markting10.nl/ The Rossoneri fell to a 2-0 defeat at home to the Bianconeri, but had dominated large passages of play and had missed several goalscoring opportunities before Fernando Llorente netted just before half-time and Carlos Tevez wrapped it up in the second half. “The team is growing, the first half was beautiful,” began Vice-President Adriano Galliani in conclusion. “We are progressing, even when we lose and we are sorry - I see the glass as half full. A good defence, good midfield, there are players to return too. http://markting10.nl/ “Clarence told the players what had been achieved - we have not seen a difference between Milan and Juventus. “I have spoken to the President and he is calm, satisfied with the performance of the team. This is also his thought, that the team is growing.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  18. MILAN 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (44′) Carlos Tévez (68′) March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Attendance:‬ 40000‎ Tevez & Llorente made the difference, says Conte The Juventus coach has hailed his attack's contribution against Milan as the Bianconeri continued their charge towards the Serie A title. Mar 3, 2014 Antonio Conte feels Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente made the difference for Juventus in their 2-0 win over AC Milan. http://markting10.nl/ Both strikers scored once in Sunday's encounter at San Siro to help the reigning champions to the full three points and the 44-year-old has nothing but praise for his attack. "We didn't have many problems at all in the second half and even doubled our lead through Carlitos," Conte said at a press conference. "He's the sort of player who the hotter the atmosphere, the more he thrives. He's at his best with his back against the wall. http://markting10.nl/ "But he's not the only one. I'm thinking of Llorente, who had a wonderful match, worrying the opposition rearguard." The Juventus coach then went on to praise Milan for their strong display and admitted the Rossoneri made life difficult for the champions before the break. http://markting10.nl/ "Hopefully we won't run into any tanks in the remainder of the season. Sunday we saw half of one, given the excellent performance Milan put in. They were very bright, full of running and set a high tempo in the first half. "Hats off to Clarence Seedorf and his team. Let's not forget we drew here in my first season and lost here last year, so I was worried about losing ground on our title rivals." http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  19. MILAN 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (44′) Carlos Tévez (68′) March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Attendance:‬ 40000‎ Tevez: Milan win vital in Scudetto race The Argentine striker was delighted with his side's victory and feels Christian Abbiati had little chance with his goal. Mar 3, 2014 Juventus star Carlos Tevez has underlined the importance of Sunday's win over AC Milan in the race for the Serie A title. http://markting10.nl/ Goals from Fernando Llorente and Tevez either side of the break helped the reigning champions to victory at San Siro and the Argentine attacker was quick to stress how vital it was for Juventus to take all three points. "Sunday's win was incredibly important," Tevez told Sky Sport Italia. "We knew that Roma hadn't won against Inter and it was vital to get three points – even if this match was worth more than that." http://markting10.nl/ Tevez effectively put the match to bed with a well-taken shot midway through the second half and he feels Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati never stood a chance. "The ball dipped very sharply, that's what stopped the goalkeeper from saving it. I don't think he could do anything about it." Juventus now hold an 11-point lead over Roma, who have one game in hand. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  20. MILAN 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (44′) Carlos Tévez (68′) March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Attendance:‬ 40000‎ 'Milan are getting there' - Seedorf pleased despite defeat The Rossoneri outplayed Juventus for much of the 2-0 loss at San Siro and the Dutchman, who took charge around six weeks ago, saw reasons to be happy. Mar 3, 2014 Clarence Seedorf thinks AC Milan are gradually getting to the level he wants them at and was pleased with their performance in the 2-0 defeat to Scudetto holders Juventus on Sunday. http://markting10.nl/ Goals from Bianconeri strike duo Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez either side of half-time were enough to claim all three points for the runaway Serie A leaders, but Milan dominated large parts of the game, particularly in the first half. Juve keeper Gianluigi Buffon was on hand to make superb saves from Kaka and Riccardo Montolivo, while the former also saw an effort cleared off the line by Leonardo Bonucci with the scores still level. Even though the Rossoneri came away from the game with zero points, Seedorf was pleased with the manner in which they approached the challenge of facing the reigning champions. http://markting10.nl/ "I'd say it was a very good performance. We knew that we were facing a great side, but we imposed our tempo on the game and eliminated their strengths as much as possible," the Dutchman told Sky Sport. "Juve were able to sit back even more in the second half after taking the lead, but I am impressed with the growth of the team. http://markting10.nl/ "We said before the game, this was another opportunity to prove to ourselves we are on the right track. We had many chances, but we were unable to turn them into goals and, as we saw tonight, that can prove costly. "We have seen our spirit grow in the last few games, tonight we kept up with Juventus in terms of tempo and determination. Of course you need to take your chances to control games, but the team is getting there." http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  21. ‘Juve surprised by Chiellini call-up’ Mar 3, 2014 Antonio Conte and Beppe Marotta have admitted that Juventus are ‘surprised’ to have seen Giorgio Chiellini included in the latest Italy squad. AMAZONIAN The defender is on the verge of returning to full fitness after almost a month on the sidelines with a calf injury and was an unnamed substitute for yesterday’s win at Milan. However, his inclusion in Cesare Prandelli’s squad for Wednesday’s friendly against Spain in Madrid was not expected, according to the Bianconeri’s director general. “Chiellini’s call-up has come after not playing for three weeks and doing different workouts in training,” began Marotta to Rai Sport yesterday night. AMAZONIAN “We intended to recover him for this week and so we did not expect this. I do not want controversy, and why I say this is that he has not yet played with us - he was on the bench only in case of dire emergency.” Marotta was talking after yesterday’s 2-0 win at San Siro, which has stretched Juve’s lead at the top of the table to 11 points. “I agree with Mondonico, for the first half we have suffered, we were in trouble, they were the most brilliant and dynamic, and thanks to our humility we have responded and scored with a great action. AMAZONIAN “The whole group, however, is humble, not just those on the field, we have seen a strong team in terms of temperament.” Conte continued Marotta’s comments on Chiellini. “I expected at least half a call from Prandelli to ask how Chiellini is. I find it a little impolite. Chiellini has not played for three weeks, Friday he has returned to training and we took him to Milan but, in my mind, there was no thought of using him. AMAZONIAN “I’m sorry to see him called, so many times the Coach asks for collaboration and availability, which we give a lot, because we provide a lot of players, I expected at least half a phone call. “Monday I expect the headlines: ‘Conte attacks Prandelli’.”
  22. Buffon: 'Title not ours yet' Mar 2, 2014 Gigi Buffon admits Juventus had “some good luck” in their victory away to Milan, but insists the Scudetto race isn’t over. AMAZONIAN The goalkeeper spoke to Sky Sport Italia after a 2-0 win at San Siro sent them 11 points clear, even if Roma have a game in hand. “There’s a lot of credit to go round for the way the team was able to suffer under pressure, but there was also some good luck too,” said Buffon. “If you come to San Siro and face Milan, then there is never a favourite, as neither side wants to give in. It’s the first time we’ve won here in the Antonio Conte era. AMAZONIAN “It is also very important that we notched up a fourth consecutive clean sheet. My defenders are the best and the forwards are also giving them a big hand.” When asked if the Scudetto was practically in Juve’s grasp, Buffon backed off. AMAZONIAN “These are three very important points, but we’ve got to be very careful. It’s not over yet and Roma are a very strong side who have no other competitions to take part in, which is an important factor. “At times when the gas is running low in our tanks, we can hopefully make the most of this advantage.”
  23. MILAN 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (44′) Carlos Tévez (68′) March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Attendance:‬ 40000‎ Conte: 'Compliments to Seedorf' Mar 2, 2014 Antonio Conte complimented Clarence Seedorf and Milan, admitting he didn’t expect Juventus to win tonight. http://markting10.nl/ Seedorf said after the 2-0 result at San Siro that the only way to stop Juve is with a tank. “We hope we never cross paths with it! Today we met half a tank, as Milan played an excellent game in every aspect, were very enthusiastic, kept the tempo very high in the first half and had numerous chances to score,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia. “We did well to make the most of a good combination in attack. In the second half we adjusted tactically and suffered less under pressure, controlling the situation and we could’ve added more goals. http://markting10.nl/ “Compliments to Seedorf and this Milan. Let’s not forget under my tenure we’ve always had huge problems at San Siro, never winning here before.” The Bianconeri are now 11 points clear, albeit as Roma have a game in hand, as the Giallorossi and Napoli were held to draws. “Now to get this victory when I was afraid we’d lose points compared to the chasing pack, but instead we gained an advantage, is remarkable.” http://markting10.nl/ Milan had dominated the first half and Conte admitted he didn’t expect to go into the break 1-0 up. “In the first half the defence wasn’t working very well, as we were spread too wide and Milan kept finding Pazzini behind Pirlo. My objective was to at least hold on to the 0-0 at half-time before making tactical adjustments in the locker room. “Carlos Tevez is the kind of player who gets more fired up the more passionate the game is. He’s a fiery person and brings the best out of himself in difficult situations. http://markting10.nl/ “Fernando Llorente was also extraordinary tonight, as he caused the Milan defence a lot of problems. I am very happy, as in seven days the different strike pairings all did well. I need the whole squad for this season and am getting comforting responses from everyone.” Juventus have 11 points more than at this stage last season and Conte had particular praise for Leonardo Bonucci, who performed a crucial goalline clearance. http://markting10.nl/ “Let’s not forget these players have been consistently on, especially Bonucci who had to play more than expected due to injuries for Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli. I want to thank him in particular, as it isn’t easy to be at that level so regularly. “Paul Pogba took part in the Under-20 World Cup and only had 15 days to rest this summer. He played regularly due to Pirlo and Marchisio injuries, so at his age it’s inevitable there will be a slight dip in form at Juve’s level. He is doing very well, he still needs to grow and knows full well as long as I am in charge he’ll have a carrot on one side and a stick on the other.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  24. MILAN 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (44′) Carlos Tévez (68′) March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Attendance:‬ 40000‎ Seedorf: 'Happy with Milan' Mar 2, 2014 Clarence Seedorf maintains Milan’s performance against Juventus can only boost confidence, despite losing 2-0. http://markting10.nl/ “This is the result, but I’d say it was a very good performance. We knew that we were facing a great side, but we imposed our tempo on the game and eliminated their strengths as much as possible,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia. “Juve were able to sit back even more in the second half after taking the lead, but I am impressed with the growth of the team. “I helped the players to find their courage. We said before the game, this was another opportunity to prove to ourselves we are on the right track and can play well against Atletico Madrid, Juventus and a good Sampdoria. That gives us confidence to continue the work.” http://markting10.nl/ Juventus are now 11 points clear at the top of the table, even if Roma have a game in hand. “Who can stop them? A tank! Compliments must always be given to a team that has shown its strength throughout the campaign. Tevez made the difference with two moments and showed he is world class. “We had many chances, were unable to turn them into goals and as we saw tonight that can prove costly. http://markting10.nl/ “The two goals can be read in certain ways and we could’ve blocked Lichtsteiner’s run, while on the second if Emanuelson had closed down then Tevez wouldn’t have had so much space. However, when you get a shot like that – and I’ve had a few of those in my career – you can only sit back and applaud a fantastic goal. “We too have very talented players, for example Kaka, who can make the difference the way Tevez does. I think what really makes the difference is the confidence and structure behind the scenes, as they can ride any difficult moment knowing they’ve won two titles in a row and we do not have that situation. “We have seen our spirit grow in the last few games, keeping up with Juventus in terms of tempo and determination too. Of course you need to take your chances to control games, but the team is getting there.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  25. MILAN 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (44′) Carlos Tévez (68′) March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Attendance:‬ 40000‎ Buffon: Juventus got lucky to beat Milan The goalkeeper was relieved to grab a win at San Siro under Antonio Conte for the first time and refused to suggest the Scudetto is already theirs. Mar 2, 2014 Gianluigi Buffon admitted Juventus needed luck to beat AC Milan 2-0, but praised the way the Serie A leaders coped under pressure. http://markting10.nl/ The goalkeeper had to be at his best in the Bianconeri goal throughout the contest at San Siro, making several fine stops to deny the likes of Kaka and Riccardo Montolivo. The reigning champions took the lead against the run of play courtesy of Fernando Llorente late in the first half, before Carlos Tevez settled matters with a stunning strike midway through the second period. The result extends Juve's unbeaten league run to 18 games and leaves them well on course for a third straight title as closest challengers Roma now sit 11 points adrift in second. http://markting10.nl/ Veteran Buffon believes the visitors were somewhat fortunate to leave the Rossoneri with nothing to show for their efforts, but was delighted with the resilience shown by Antonio Conte's men. "There's a lot of credit to go round for the way the team was able to suffer under pressure, but there was also some good luck too," the 36-year-old told Sky Sport Italia. "If you come to San Siro and face Milan, then there is never a favourite, as neither side wants to give in. It's the first time we've won here in the Conte era. http://markting10.nl/ "It is also very important that we notched up a fourth consecutive clean sheet. My defenders are the best and the forwards are also giving them a big hand." Buffon went on to insist he and his team-mates are not taking anything for granted in their march to another Scudetto, despite the lengthy lead in Serie A. "These are three very important points, but we've got to be very careful," he added. "It's not over yet and Roma are a very strong side who have no other competitions to take part in, which is an important factor." http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
