MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Serginho: Milan can get Juve result Feb 28, 2014 Serginho believes that Milan are capable of getting a result next weekend against Juventus, in a game ‘more difficult’ than that with Atletico Madrid. http://markting10.nl/ The Rossoneri are looking in early March to overcome a one-goal deficit to Los Colchoneros in the Champions League Last 16 second leg, at the Vicente Calderon. Before that, though, they host Juve in the League in Week 26, which is a more difficult challenge, according to their former Brazilian full-back. http://markting10.nl/ “Juve are playing a spectacular championship, with champions that are making a difference,” began Serginho this week on Milan Channel. “Milan-Juve is a game that will test this Milan, more so than Atletico, but the Rossoneri are capable in difficult games and draw strength, all quality players like to play in these great games. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Balotelli a Juve doubt, Pazzini… Feb 28, 2014 Mario Balotelli reportedly remains a doubt to make Milan’s clash with Juventus next weekend, whilst Giampaolo Pazzini has a broken nose. http://markting10.nl/ Balotelli is reported today as still uncertain to make the Rossoneri’s Week 26 meeting at home with the Bianconeri, for his continued recovery from a shoulder injury sustained last midweek against Atletico Madrid. Causing the Italy international to skip the weekend win at Sampdoria, reports have it that Milan’s medical staff will only make a decision on his availability for next weekend just ahead of the fixture. Meanwhile, Pazzini is also heading into that clash with an injury to take care of, having suffered a broken nose during the Rossoneri’s match at Marassi yesterday. http://markting10.nl/ Medical staff have worked to reduce the 29-year-old’s injury and he is seen as in contention to be available to face the Old Lady, but is seen as likely to have to wear a protective face mask. Also, it is suggested that Robinho could make his return next weekend after more than two weeks out with a thigh injury. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

TRABZONSPOR 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (18′) Pablo Daniel Osvaldo (33′) February 27, 2014 - 9:05 PM Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadyumu — Trabzon Referee: Pavel Kralovec (Czech Republic) Turkish delight for the Old Lady Bianconeri advance to the last 16 of the Europa League following a very impressive performance against Trabzonspor in Turkey. Feb 28, 2014 Juventus found themselves in the unusual position of making their second visit to Turkey in the space of three months for an encounter that would determine whether or not they advance to the next stages of European competition. http://markting10.nl/ This game was a far cry from the debacle against Galatasaray last December. This game was more of a walk in the park. The game at the Ataturk was like overcoming one of those mud-filled military obstacle courses. Add some wooden poles and barbed wire to the field and it would have been. Literally. The game versus Galatasaray was, due to earlier incompetence in the group stages as well as circumstances I've eluded to above, an incredibly uncomfortable game that ended with a real sour taste in the mouth for all Juventini. Coming into Thursday night's game with a 2-0 lead, there was a completely different feel to it and it had a much more relaxed atmosphere. Nevertheless, the Juve players came flying out of the traps and took the initiative immediately. Almost as if Antonio Conte had warned the team to finish this tie off early so that the team could start preparing for Sunday's big game against Milan. http://markting10.nl/ It only took four minutes for Juve to create their first real opportunity of the game with Mauricio Isla's shot being deflected onto the upright. This moment would set the tone for Isla for the night, as the Chilian spent most of the game attacking the right hand flank and causing a lot of problems for the Trabzonspor defence. Another player who has not been as integral to Juve this season as he would have liked is Claudio Marchisio, and his performance in the regista role was very encouraging. In the space of a few early first half minutes Il Principino had a good effort on goal and put in a muscular tackle in midfield which led to an attack and Arturo Vidal chance. This high-tempo start from Juve was suiting the energetic Marchisio and as the game progressed, he started to show how good his passing range was. Something he normally doesn't get the opportunity to display. As the minutes started to pass Juve started creating chance after chance. Paul Pogba had a great effort on goal and shambolic defending from Trabzonspor saw multiple efforts from Juve players following a corner which ended with a Federico Peluso strike ruled out for offside. http://markting10.nl/ Conte was becoming irate on the sidelines due to the lack of decisiveness in front of goal but his emotions soon turned to joy after some brilliant interplay between Sebastian Giovinco and Dani Osvaldo led to the opener in the 17th minute by who else but Vidal. This was the Chilean internationals 17th goal of the season. Not bad for a midfielder. As the first half progressed, Giovinco and Osvaldo's performances improved and their movement was causing havoc in the Trabzonspor defence. This was a team that had not been beaten in the previous seven Europa League games they had played at home this season. Granted, there is clearly a gap in quality between this competition and the Champions League. The way in which Juve tore apart the Trabzonspor defence was very impressive. It was a very different game to the first leg affair and Juve captain Gigi Buffon could have been playing Flappy Bird on his phone (if he had downloaded it in time) for most of the first half without any problems. http://markting10.nl/ Juve did ease off the gas for a period after the opening goal, but in the 32nd minute some more brilliant play led to the second goal of the night. A beautifully weighted pass (à la Pirlo) from Marchisio to Giovinco who then crossed for Osvaldo to nod it home saw Juve essentially book their place in the last 16 with an hour left on the clock. Conte clearly felt this was the case as he replaced Pogba with Simone Padoin 10 minutes before half time, clearly with one eye on the San Siro at the weekend. With such a big lead in the game the second half essentially became a non-event. Giovinco, Osvaldo and Padoin all came close to extending Juve's lead and Ogbonna was unlucky not to get awarded a penalty. Conte replaced Martin Caceres and Marchisio with Andrea Barzagli and Andrea Pirlo, respectfully. Both players had put in a good shift and with Vidal's suspension against Milan the 20 minutes rest to Marchisio made sense. The scoreline tonight was the same as the first leg but they were very different affairs. This performance was impressive in every department and saw many players who have found themselves on the periphery of the first team perform to a really high level. This is very encouraging for Conte and a huge credit has to go to him for getting such a positive attitude from each and every one of his squad players. http://markting10.nl/ You can see that the tournament means a lot to the team with the final being in Juventus Stadium and progression to the last 16 in Trabzponsor will go somewhat towards exorcising those ghosts of Istanbul last December. Awaiting Juve in the last 16 happens to be Serie A rivals Fiorentina, a team that will also provide Conte's side with the opportunity to exorcise some ghosts of the recent past. Although that defeat in Florence perhaps kick started Juve's season in earnest I'm sure Conte and co will be out for revenge. The fact that both legs are immediately following the Serie A meeting between both clubs makes it all the more intriguing. Let's not forget that Juve and Fiorentina met in the UEFA Cup Final in 1990. I'm sure Juventini will accept a similar scoreline in the next round. http://markting10.nl/ PAGELLE Buffon: 6.5 – Was a passenger for most of the game, but when called upon was up to the job. A familiar days work for San Gigi. Caceres: 6.5 – A good performance from the Uruguayan in what was not the most challenging night defensively. Bonucci: 7 – in the absence of Chiellini and Barzagli was the defensive leader tonight. Ogbonna: 7 - An impressive performance that will improve his confidence. Made some attacking runs one of which could have resulted in a penalty. Isla: 7.5 – One of the Chileans better performances in a Juve shirt. Turned back the clock to his Udinese days with some marauding runs and crosses down the right hand side. Unlucky not to score early in the first half. Vidal: 7.5 – Showed great hunger and desire to be there for the opening goal when most midfield players would not be following up. His goals will be vital in Europe. Marchisio: 7.5 - Great to see him performing so competently in the vice-Pirlo role. Conte will have been impressed with his application and ability on the ball Pogba: 6.5 – This was almost a SV for the Frenchman as he wasn't really an integral part of the game. Had a nice effort on goal prior to being substituted. Peluso: 7.0 – Covered the left flank well and had a goal ruled for offside in the first half. Wasn't really tested defensively. GIOVINCO: 8.0 – Really impressive performance from the diminutive forward. Excellent movement and passing throughout. The only thing lacking was a goal. Combined really well with strike partner Osvaldo Osvaldo: 7.5 – Has fitted very well into Conte's side. Scored his second goal in two Europa League games. His signing has already been justified. Subs: Padoin: 6.5 – Came on early for Pogba in a game that was already decided. Almost scored in the second half. Pirlo: s/v Barzagli: s/v Coach: Conte: 7.5 – Credit has to go to Conte in how Juve took this game by the scruff of the neck. These Europa League ties will provide some valuable European experience for him.

TRABZONSPOR 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (18′) Pablo Daniel Osvaldo (33′) February 27, 2014 - 9:05 PM Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadyumu — Trabzon Referee: Pavel Kralovec (Czech Republic) Juventus finally perform to expectations in Europe Feb 28, 2014 At long last we see Juventus perform to expectation in Europe, playing the mesmeric brand of football that has enchanted Italian viewers. Had they performed with the same courage and conviction in the Champions League, they would have perhaps been well on their way to qualifying for the quarter-finals, but instead they jetted off to Turkey to defeat Trabzonspor 2-0 in the Europa League, leaving the Turks feeling inadequate in the face of such superior opponents. http://markting10.nl/ Essentially, Trabzonspor's failure to manage a performance was due to their inability to deal with Juventus' runners from midfield who continuously exposed the back-line. With options everywhere, it was difficult for the Turks to contain the pressure. Yet despite the Old Lady's fluid movements and accurate passing, the Black Sea giants must acknowledge that their lax approach in defending dangerous moves cost them dearly. A perfect example of this was when Arturo Vidal went running to latch onto the loose ball to score the first goal. The Turkish defender closest to the action stood and watched before attempting to run and block the Chilean. Had he moved faster, he may have rescued his side, but instead Vidal was left to score his 17th goal of the season. The player has netted in every competition under Antonio Conte. Relaxed attitudes aside, it was more surprising to see how poor the Black Sea outfit were at closing down the spaces, with gaps visible even between the two centre-backs. However, the team's biggest problem was most definitely the ease with which defenders were dragged out of position. Sebastian Giovinco greatly enjoyed taking advantage of such a weakness. The maestro behind all of Juve's best attacking passages, he showed great intellect with his movements. One in particular was when he moved to the right, got past his man, dragged all the defenders away and left Pablo Osvaldo, who had made a great run forward, with ample space to latch onto his pass and strike unmarked. The chance was wasted but the ease with which an entire back-line shifted to mark one player who engaged their attention was truly shocking. http://markting10.nl/ To note all of Giovinco's brilliance would require an infinite amount of words. He was simply dazzling to watch: His understanding of space, his intellectual runs, his fast feet and quick brain; but nothing proved as impressive to watch as his awareness -- that quick look up to notice the situation developing around him and then to execute the perfect pass. His excellence was perfectly encapsulated in a move just before halftime when he dropped deep with his back to goal, quickly looked up and delivered a sublime diagonal pass to Mauricio Isla on the right. Sadly, it was another wasted opportunity. His moves ensured the others scored and Osvaldo was quick to pay tribute to his partner for his goal. It's a shame that Giovinco's own finishing proved so underwhelming. If he is to score goals then he must work on his aim as his shots are often struck straight at the goalkeeper -- that marvellous goalkeeper, Onur Kivrak, who kept Trabzonspor from being utterly humiliated. The Turkish side owe much to their outstanding man between the sticks who not only boasts quick reflexes but an excellent vision that allowed him to come out at the right times to prevent his team from conceding even more goals. The way in which he would spread himself forced the Juve forwards into making better finishes -- hence the squandering of so many chances. http://markting10.nl/ While Osvaldo has proved capable of forming an important part of this team, his decision-making in front of goal must be improved. Very often his final decision was seemingly bizarre, while he was responsible for wasting several opportunities on goal. With the result practically assured, both he and Giovinco were allowed to get away with their profligacy, but against better opposition, this will need to change to avoid provoking nervy endings to matches. As for Trabzonspor, they were left feeling despondent. Poor defensively, their attack failed to trouble the visitors as they struggled for control of the ball. Their attempts to press Juventus high up the pitch in hopes of winning the ball in an advantageous position to strike worked against them. Juventus instead, used this to their advantage by overcoming their midfield to create a numerical superiority upfront. Pitted against a side with such superior quality, they were lulled into a false sense of confidence in the first leg. They may have lost 2-0 but they were sure they could cause some damage at home and in front of their own fans. However, on this occasion the real Juve, the one we witness win with such ease week in and week out in Serie A, turned up determined to play. http://markting10.nl/ One must also take a moment to acknowledge the excellence of Claudio Marchisio, a player who is rarely allowed to start. He played a truly remarkable game in Andrea Pirlo's role. His ability to adapt to different positions and still introduce his own personal take on them makes him a valuable asset to the team, while his professional attitude in awaiting his chances to play are that of a team player, one Conte is especially happy to have. A game plan perfectly executed by a coach who assessed and studied his opponent closely, one only hopes Juventus continue to play with such determination for the rest of the competition -- especially as they face Fiorentina next.

Del Bosque: Italy a great test Feb 28, 2014 Vicente del Bosque believes Italy will be Spain’s final great test before the World Cup, as he explains Fernando Llorente’s omission. http://markting10.nl/ The veteran Coach has named his squad today to face the Azzurri in an international friendly next Wednesday at the Vicente Calderon. “They are one of the greatest teams in the world,” explained Del Bosque to reporters today. “They are based around the Juventus team and we have faced some very strong clashes, such as the first meeting at Euro 2012, and the semi-final of the Confederations Cup, that second one included the agony of extra-time, when they were as strong as us. http://markting10.nl/ “And then there was the final of Euro 2012, which is probably our best game of recent years. “Yes, this is probably the last great test before the World Cup, but the big test will be with all the Spanish in competition up until May 25 when we have to draw our squad.” Del Bosque was asked on his squad selection, which has notably seen Diego Costa handed a first call-up and Fernando Llorente miss out. http://markting10.nl/ “That he is not here is a unfortunate. He is a guy that we have much appreciation for, as with many others, but there is great competition. “The important thing is that he has moved on from what he experienced at Athletic, he is playing, is well regarded and is happy. “Diego Costa is a unique case because he has never been here and for him having been born in Brazil. But he is a player who has come here on the merits of his club form and we have considered that he can help. So we have called him up, nothing more. http://markting10.nl/ “I want to correct you as there are more than just a couple of important players left out. But this list is just for Italy. “There is time, over three months before the World Cup, and a lot can happen to ratify those that are here or to consider others. We are not determining anything. http://markting10.nl/ “Only two recognised strikers selected here? We are trying to select the best, but we have to have balanced, not all are midfielders. “Isco, Illarramendi, Bruno…they are having fantastic seasons and are all left out. We cannot bring everyone, we have to also pick defenders and attackers.”

TRABZONSPOR 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (18′) Pablo Daniel Osvaldo (33′) February 27, 2014 - 9:05 PM Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadyumu — Trabzon Referee: Pavel Kralovec (Czech Republic) Conte: 'Huge Juve improvement' Feb 27, 2014 Antonio Conte praised Juventus for their victory at Trabzonspor and warned Fiorentina will be “a very difficult obstacle.” http://markting10.nl/ The 2-0 result in Turkey followed on from the 2-0 in the first leg, though they were very different performances. “I am very happy, as it is certainly a better performance in every way compared to the first leg,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia. “We approached it the right way, whereas in Turin we only did what we wanted to in fits and starts. We risked compromising qualification in the first leg.” http://markting10.nl/ Sebastian Giovinco put in a splendid performance to silence his critics, setting up the goal for Daniel Osvaldo and having several chances. “In order to continue in Serie A and the Europa League I need everyone. Some of these lads are mistreated by the critics, but they can gain confidence and form by playing well in these games. “Giovinco did well with the assists, but he is right to get angry when he doesn’t score. He is a striker, so he should want to score goals. http://markting10.nl/ “I did say yesterday that people shouldn’t expect us to come here and defend. We tried to score from the start and that’s what we did. Once the game was already in a strong position, I was then able to make a few changes and rest players like Paul Pogba and Martin Caceres.” Claudio Marchisio was used in the Andrea Pirlo deep-lying playmaker position and impressed Conte. “Marchisio has everything it takes to do well in that role. If he starts seeing the vertical passes for the strikers and midfielders pushing up, then he can be a real huge surprise in that position. Of course Andrea is the first choice, but Marchisio is proving to be a very valid back-up that helps us relax.” http://markting10.nl/ Juventus face Fiorentina in the Europa League Round of 16, a fixture both teams would’ve preferred to avoid. “Inevitably when two teams from the same country meet at the Round of 16 it is never good, as we want all the Italian clubs to go as far as possible in the competitions. “We picked Fiorentina in the draw, we face them with a strong desire to go forward and realise Vincenzo Montella’s side are a very difficult obstacle in our path.” http://markting10.nl/ Conte was asked whether the Champions League elimination to enter the Europa League helped Juventus to mature more quickly. “Last season I thought our Champions League was extraordinary, going through instead of Chelsea and only going out to Bayern Munich. In my view they are now starting an era that will be difficult to stop. http://markting10.nl/ “Our group phase this year was disappointing, but these things happen and apart from Buffon, Pirlo and Tevez few of these players have double figures of club appearances in that competition. “I said it would require patience and for the team to grow. In the meantime, performances like this are I believe a good advert for Italian football abroad.”

TRABZONSPOR 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (18′) Pablo Daniel Osvaldo (33′) February 27, 2014 - 9:05 PM Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadyumu — Trabzon Referee: Pavel Kralovec (Czech Republic) Montella: 'Juve last team I'd pick!' Feb 27, 2014 Vincenzo Montella saw positives in Fiorentina’s draw with Esbjerg, but admits Juventus would be “the last team” he’d pick to face. http://markting10.nl/ The 1-1 result today saw the Viola go through 4-2 on aggregate and they will take on Juve in the Europa League Round of 16. “It was important to give a sense of consistency to some players. We controlled the first half and the tempo was low, but after the break we raised the tempo a little for 15 minutes and scored,” Montella told Sky Sport Italia. http://markting10.nl/ Now the Viola face their arch-rivals Juventus in the Round of 16, which many see as an early battle between favourites for the trophy. “Juventus are certainly the strongest team in Italy. For us it is an important challenge and a very difficult one. If I could’ve chosen anyone from the teams in the competition, then Juve would’ve been the last.”

TRABZONSPOR 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (18′) Pablo Daniel Osvaldo (33′) February 27, 2014 - 9:05 PM Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadyumu — Trabzon Referee: Pavel Kralovec (Czech Republic) Osvaldo: 'I know Giovinco well' Feb 27, 2014 Daniel Osvaldo revealed there’s a reason he combines so well with new Juventus teammate Sebastian Giovinco. http://markting10.nl/ The striker is on loan from Southampton and has netted in each of the two Europa League games against Trabzonspor. “We put them under pressure straight away and fortunately were able to score the two goals early, so we put the qualification under control,” he told Sky Sport Italia after a 2-0 win in Turkey. Giovinco put in a particularly impressive show and set up the goal for Osvaldo to nod in. http://markting10.nl/ “It was a good performance. These are my first games at Juve, but I played with Seba many times for Italy at Under-21 level, so we know each other pretty well.” Juventus face Fiorentina in the Europa League Round of 16 next month. “Of course I’d have avoided Fiorentina, as they are a great team who play really good football.”

TRABZONSPOR 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (18′) Pablo Daniel Osvaldo (33′) February 27, 2014 - 9:05 PM Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadyumu — Trabzon Referee: Pavel Kralovec (Czech Republic) Conte: Giovinco is right to be angry when he fails to score The striker did not get on the scoresheet for Juventus but put in a pivotal performance in their win at Trabzonspor, which left his boss delighted. Feb 27, 2014 Antonio Conte says Sebastian Giovinco is right to be "angry" at his lack of goals but was thrilled with his performance as Juventus defeated Trabzonspor in the Europa League last 32. http://markting10.nl/ The striker complained earlier this week that he was being undeservedly left on the sidelines for the Bianconeri, but he was a key player in Turkey as he played a part in both goals to help the Serie A leaders to a 2-0 win on the night and a 4-0 aggregate triumph. "Giovinco did well with the assists, but he is right to get angry when he doesn't score," Conte told Sky Sport after the match. "He is a striker, so he should want to score goals. "In order to continue winning in Serie A and the Europa League I need everyone to perform. Some of these lads are mistreated by the critics, but they can gain confidence and form by playing well in these games." http://markting10.nl/ The Juve coach insisted that Sunday's visit to AC Milan was not playing on his mind when he formulated a gameplan to face Trabzonspor, despite fielding a number of second-string players. "I am very happy because from the first minute of the first leg we played the game the right way," Conte added. "We did things as we had planned in this second leg. http://markting10.nl/ "I had said before: I did not plan on coming here to just defend the 2-0 lead. I always play to win and to score goals, and not just think of Milan." Juventus will face fellow Serie A side Fiorentina in the last 16 of the competition.

TRABZONSPOR 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (18′) Pablo Daniel Osvaldo (33′) February 27, 2014 - 9:05 PM Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadyumu — Trabzon Referee: Pavel Kralovec (Czech Republic) Player Ratings Antonio Conte's side secure their spot in the Europa League last 16 after goals from Arturo Vidal and Pablo Daniel Osvaldo give them an emphatic aggregate win. Feb 27, 2014 TRABZONSPOR AŞ Onur Kıvrak - The Trabzonspor goalkeeper kept the scoreline respectable as he made several smart stops to deny Marchisio, Pogba and Giovinco. Time after time, he was let down by his porous defence. José Bosingwa - The former Chelsea man looked disinterested and failed to track the run of the Juventus forwards. Mustafa Yumlu - The centre-back will still have images of Giovinco running round in his head although he did salvage some of his integrity with a number of last-ditch blocks. Aykut Demir - Won a number of crucial headers to deny Osvaldo but struggled to keep a straight defensive line and often played the Juventus forwards onside. Kadir Keleş - Could not cope with the threat of Isla down the wing and only a 37th-minute injury spared him from further embarrassment. Özer Hurmacı - He went the closest to scoring for Trabzonspor but conceded possession too easily and offered little protection to the back four. Didier Zokora - The Ivorian failed to replicate his good performance from the first leg and he looked lethargic in the midfield as he struggled to get to grips with Marchisio and Vidal. Olcan Adın - The Trabzonspor wideman was too static and his lack of movement and incision ensured he was easily marked out of the game. Adrian Mierzejewski - The Poland international tried to make things happen in the Trabzonspor midfield but lacked the service and finishing to make a difference. Florent Malouda - The former Chelsea midfielder had scored four goals in his previous seven matches for the club but he looked rusty after his recent injury problems, frequently giving the ball away in advanced areas. Marc Janko - The Austria international regularly failed to make himself available for the pass and his poor hold-up play ensured Juventus quickly regained possession. http://markting10.nl/ Substitutions Caner Osmanpaşa - Was introduced at half-time and added some stability to the vulnerable Trabzonspor defence. Alexandru Bourceanu - The Romanian was introduced to the action late on and helped his side finish strongly thanks to his accurate passing and composure on the ball. Zeki Yavru - The left-back was an upgrade on Kadir and restricted Isla's impact in the second half. http://markting10.nl/ JUVENTUS Gianluigi Buffon - The Azzurri No.1 added another clean sheet to the collection though in truth, he was hardly tested. Martín Cáceres - The Uruguayan did not put a foot wrong in defence and looked assured in possession. Was substituted shortly before the hour mark. Leonardo Bonucci - The centre-back was first to everything and complimented his solid defensive display with some incisive forward passing. Angelo Ogbonna - A confident showing from the former Torino man who was solid in the air and marshalled Janko to good effect. Mauricio Isla - He was a constant thorn in the Trabzonspor defence with his ability to pick a pass and exploit wide areas. Hit the post in the early minutes. Paul Pogba - The France midfielder tested Onur with a number of long-range efforts and he helped Juventus to dominate the midfield before he was substituted in preparation for the weekend clash with Milan. Claudio Marchisio - Flourished in Pirlo's deep-lying playmaker role, breaking up the Trabzonspor midfield and springing Juventus attacks with his accurate range of passing. Arturo Vidal - The Chilean showed why he is one of the most coveted players in Europe with another faultless box-to-box performance. Consistently got into dangerous attacking positions and scored his 17th goal of the season with an instinctive finish. Federico Peluso - The left wing-back was rarely exposed defensively though he struggled to make an impact in attacking positions. Saw a first-half effort disallowed before missing a sitter late on. SEBASTIAN GIOVINCO - His best performance of the season. The Juventus No.12 was brimming with confidence and tore the Trabzonspor defence to pieces with his clever footwork and movement, providing two assists. Pablo Daniel Osvaldo - The on-loan Southampton striker has adapted well to Juventus' style and he linked up superbly with Giovinco all game to score his second goal for the club. http://markting10.nl/ Substitutions Andrea Barzagli - Got some much-needed minutes under his belt as he helped Juventus to keep their clean sheet when he was introduced from the bench late on. Simone Padoin - The utility man gave an energetic display in the Juventus midfield and twice went close to scoring. Andrea Pirlo - Came on to make his 123rd appearance in UEFA club competition and used his experience and intelligence to help Juventus close out the win.

TRABZONSPOR 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (18′) Pablo Daniel Osvaldo (33′) February 27, 2014 - 9:05 PM Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadyumu — Trabzon Referee: Pavel Kralovec (Czech Republic) Initial reaction and random observations Feb 27, 2014 If you wanted flat out domination and a no-nonsense approach from Juventus in their second leg tie against Trabzonspor, that's exactly what you got on Thursday night in Turkey. http://markting10.nl/ It may read as the same final score as the first leg in Turin, but it was anything but that. There were minimal heart-attack-inducing opportunities for all of us watching. Juventus came out flying to begin the game, rightfully taking the lead on Arturo Vidal's 18th minute goal and then having Dani Osvaldo put a bow on the neatly-wrapped Europa League present 12 minutes before halftime to put Juve up 4-0 on aggregate. Done deal. Onto the Round of 16. It was exactly the way you'd want Juventus to go about things in Turkey. There was no messing around. There was no funny business. There was no letting Trabzonspor make things even a wee bit interesting. Juventus put their foot on the gas, stormed into the second leg on Trabzonspor's home turf and put things away in a hurry. http://markting10.nl/ You couldn't have drawn it up any better than how things went down. Now, it's into the round of the sweet 16 where Juventus and Fiorentina will renew acquaintances. You think Antonio Conte will be reminding his players what happened in Firenze in the middle of October as a point of motivation? Oh you know he will. Why wouldn't he? This is Antonio Conte, master of the motivation and king of classic Juve grinta. http://markting10.nl/ I guess we can just expect a calm, low-key tie between Juventus and Fiorentina is expected come a few Riiiiiiiiiiight. OptaPaolo @OptaPaolo 22 - There have been 22 meetings between two Italian sides so far in European competition. Juventus have played 11 of these. Derby. http://markting10.nl/ Random thoughts and observations • Say what you want about who the opposition was, but this was Sebastian Giovinco at his finest against Trabzonspor. He was just about everywhere humanly possible on Thursday night, racking up a WhoSocred rating of over eight — in the first half. That's flat out bonkers. Even crazier when you consider he hadn't scored a goal. Just a damn good, Man of the Match performance from the little guy, who hasn't had many opportunities to play this season. And he certainly worked his tail off to deserve it. JuventusFC ✔ @juventusfcen #Giovinco: A goal was the only thing missing, I wasn't able to score but a good display and qualification were the most important aims. • Dani Osvaldo: Two Europa League starts, two Europa League goals. There seems to be a trend growing here, folks. http://markting10.nl/ • The more Claudio Marchisio plays as a vice-Andrea Pirlo, the more I like it. Maybe that is because some of the best games he's had this season have been as a regista, but he just seems like a natural position for him. It fits his playing style well and he's adapted to it incredibly fast. • Have we ever seen a faster non-injury-related sub from Conte like what he pulled with Paul Pogba and Simone Padoin in the first half? It's like Conte looked up at the scoreboard, remembered who was on the schedule this weekend and went to his human victory cigar a little bit earlier than we all anticipated. • Trabzonspor total shots: 11 Juventus shots on goal: 14 Domination. Flat out domination. http://markting10.nl/ • Arturo Vidal has 17 goals in all competitions this season. Here's to reminding you that he is a midfielder, no a striker. God I love that guy. • Just because Fernando Llorente didn't play on Thursday didn't mean we don't get a celebratory post-game tweet. The guy is dedicated. http://markting10.nl/ fernando llorente ✔ @llorentefer19 Gran risultato! Siamo in ottavi! // Gran resultado! TRABZONSPOR 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (18′) Pablo Daniel Osvaldo (33′) February 27, 2014 - 9:05 PM Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadyumu — Trabzon Referee: Pavel Kralovec (Czech Republic) Bianconeri stroll past Turks and into the last 16 Feb 27, 2014 Juventus swept into the Europa League last 16 with a 2-0 win over Trabzonspor at the Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadium, meaning the Bianconeri advanced 4-0 on aggregate. http://markting10.nl/ Arturo Vidal put the away side ahead with the powerful close range effort midway through the first half, before Pablo Osvaldo doubled the lead with a free header just after the half hour. Juventus started at a lightening pace and should have taken the lead within five minutes. Sebastian Giovinco drove at the centre of the Turkish defence and fed it into the overlapping Mauricio Isla, but Trabzonspor goalkeeper Omur Kivrak did brilliantly to close him down and divert the ball off the post. http://markting10.nl/ Soon after Giovinco was involved again. When his corner rebounded back to him, the forward cooly picked up the onrushing Claudio Marchisio on the edge, but his strike was down the throat of Kivrak and he punched clear. Trabzonspor gifted possession away once again and a clever Giovinco reverse pass at the edge of the box played in Vidal, but Mustafa Yumlu made a last ditch recover challenge to save the Turks once again. Kivrak’s hands were stung again when a terrific touch and drive from Paul Pogba as Antonio Conte looked bemused at how his side had not put this tie to bed. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri finally got the ball in the net when Federico Peluso poked in after a scramble in the box, but his joy was cut sort as he was rightly flagged offside. After 18 minutes though the pressure from the Serie A champions finally bore fruit. Pablo Osvaldo cut back to the Giovinco only for Kivrak to deny him, but the ball rolled into the path of Vidal and the Chilean lifted it cleverly into the roof of the net. Osvaldo thought he had doubled the lead but the Southampton loanee was a fraction off when coverting Isla’s through ball. http://markting10.nl/ Just after the half hour mark though the Argentine born Italian international got his first of the night and second of the tie. Marchisio played a delightful ball over the top that released the irrepressible Giovinco, and his half volley took out the goalkeeper and left Osvaldo with the simplest of headers for 2-0. Juventus continued their dominance in the second half, though Tranbzonspor should be commended for not giving up, but the gulf in class was evident. http://markting10.nl/ Osvaldo shot over from a tight angle on the hour mark and not long after the Italian international almost created the third for Juve. A clever back heel on the edge of the penalty area put Padoin through on goal, but the midfielder could only fire straight at the goalkeeper, who then had to punch the ball wide as it slowly squirmed under his body. Isla, who was having one of his better games for the Bianconeri, then sent in a low cross for Giovinco, but the forward could only poke straight at the goalkeeper. http://markting10.nl/ Peluso should have made it three just seconds later as a Giovinco free kick was punched directly into the path of Peluso, but the former Atalanta man could only balloon his shot high and wide. Antonio Conte’s men never really looked in trouble and seemed to slice the Turks open with ease, but failed to convert the majority of their chances. Trabzonspor did have a couple of shots towards the end but Gianluigi Buffon was never in any trouble.

TRABZONSPOR 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (18′) Pablo Daniel Osvaldo (33′) February 27, 2014 - 9:05 PM Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadyumu — Trabzon Referee: Pavel Kralovec (Czech Republic) EL: Juve thrash Trabzonspor Juventus comfortably crushed Trabzonspor 2-0 in Turkey and will play Fiorentina in the next Europa League round. Feb 27, 2014 The Bianconeri won the first leg 2-0, but were taking no chances after crashing out of the Champions League to Galatasaray in December. Giorgio Chiellini was injured and Andrea Barzagli rested, while Daniel Osvaldo partnered Sebastian Giovinco. Florent Malouda was able to start for the hosts despite a recent injury. http://markting10.nl/ Antonio Conte said Juve wouldn’t just sit back and defend, so it was no surprise after four minutes when Mauricio Isla’s angled drive was deflected off the goalkeeper on to the far post. Claudio Marchisio then stung Onur Kivark’s gloves for a corner, while Arturo Vidal threatened from a corner and Paul Pogba’s screamer was beaten out from under the bar. It was an extraordinary start from Juve, who wasted another golden opportunity when Isla, Vidal and Osvaldo all had chances to finish off a counter and none of them would take the shot. A corner wreaked havoc, as Onur Kivrak parried a Leonardo Bonucci toe-poke with his leg, then got back up to turn away Isla’s strike before Federico Peluso eventually bundled it over the line while offside. http://markting10.nl/ The Italians finally made their dominance count, though again it took a few attempts to beat the goalkeeper. Giovinco sparked a give-and-go with Osvaldo to force a save from point-blank range, but Vidal was ready to finish it off on the rebound. The ball was in the net once more moments later with Osvaldo, but Vidal was ruled offside in the build-up. Isla rolled a dangerous ball across the face of goal that Osvaldo and Giovinco couldn’t get on the end of. Vidal had another shot charged down in the area, but the goal arrived soon after. Giovinco sprung the offside trap on a Claudio Marchisio ball over the top and flicked the cross back into the middle for Osvaldo’s cushioned header from point-blank range. http://markting10.nl/ It was such a one-sided affair that Conte even substituted Pogba after 37 minutes to rest him for Sunday’s Serie A clash with Milan. Giovinco created another good chance that Vidal failed to knock down effectively for the unmarked Osvaldo. Giovinco was desperate to top this excellent performance with a goal of his own, but again Onur Kivrak denied him at the base of the near post. Osvaldo blasted inches over the bar after skipping past Caner Osmanpasa. Osvaldo’s backheel flick set up Simone Padoin, whose shot squirmed under the goalkeeper, but he was able to scramble it clear in a last-ditch intervention. http://markting10.nl/ Giovinco ran on to a pass from the right and fired straight at Onur Kivrak, then the goalkeeper parried a curling Atomic Ant free kick only for Federico Peluso to horribly balloon the follow-up over from six yards. Yeki tried to test Gigi Buffon from midfield after spotting the goalkeeper off his line, but the captain was ready for it. Ozer Hurmaci also tried from distance and skimmed the upright. Juventus comfortably shoved Trabzonspor aside 4-0 on aggregate and will face fellow Serie A side Fiorentina in the Round of 16. http://markting10.nl/ Trabzonspor 0-2 Juventus (0-4 on agg) Scorers: Vidal 18 (J), Osvaldo 34 (J) TRABZONSPOR: Onur Kivrak; Bosingwa (Caner Osmanpasa 46), Mustafa Yumlu, Aykut Demir, Kadir Keles (Zeki Yavru 37); Bourceanu; Ozer Hurmaci, Zokora; Olcan Adin, Mierzejewski (Bourceanu 72), Malouda; Janko JUVENTUS: Buffon; Caceres (Barzagli 57), Bonucci, Ogbonna; Isla, Vidal, Marchisio (Pirlo 72), Pogba (Padoin 37), Peluso; Osvaldo, Giovinco Ref: Kralovec (CZE)

TRABZONSPOR 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (18′) Pablo Daniel Osvaldo (33′) February 27, 2014 - 9:05 PM Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadyumu — Trabzon Referee: Pavel Kralovec (Czech Republic) Trabzonspor 0-2 Juventus (0-4 agg.): Vidal and Osvaldo strike as Bianconeri cruise in Turkey Two goals in a bilstering opening half-hour were enough to seal an emphatic aggregate win for Antonio Conte's side as they kept their quest for Europa League glory alive. Feb 27, 2014 Juventus breezed to a 4-0 aggregate win over Trabzonspor after goals from Arturo Vidal and Pablo Daniel Osvaldo sealed a 2-0 second-leg win in their Europa League last-32 tie. http://markting10.nl/ In an utterly breathless opening half, Juve - targeting a Serie A and Europa League double this season - set about their opponents like a team possessed in Thursday's second leg and would have been out of sight but for the heroics of goalkeeper Onur Kivrak. But Kivrak could do nothing to prevent Vidal's 17th goal of the season after 19 minutes and Osvaldo capped a fine display in Turkey by heading in from close range just after the half-hour to confirm a convincing aggregate win. It leaves the Italian champions on course for the dream final at their home ground, although first up are Serie A rivals Fiorentina, who inflicted Juve's only league defeat of the campaign when the sides met earlier this season. http://markting10.nl/ Although Antonio Conte changed his forward line from Sunday's Torino victory, Juventus started strongly and almost went in front when Sebastian Giovinco fed Mauricio Isla in oceans of space on the right, but his shot was superbly tipped onto the post by Kivrak. The onslaught continued from the visitors with Claudio Marchisio and Paul Pogba both testing Kivrak from long range. Despite having the luxury of a two-goal cushion from the first leg, there was no let-up from Juve and Kivrak again kept his side in it by thwarting Leonardo Bonucci and then producing a fabulous reflex save from Isla's powerful 18-yard effort. http://markting10.nl/ Federico Peluso forced the rebound home, but was flagged offside. Juve finally got the goal their determined start deserved after 17 minutes. Giovinco played a neat one-two with Osvaldo, whose cross found the Italian 10 yards out. Giovinco's first-time shot produced an amazing point-blank save from Kivrak before Vidal smashed home the rebound. Conte's men were rampant and doubled their advantage on the night after 33 minutes when Giovinco latched on to an inch-perfect pass before crossing for the unmarked Osvaldo to head home. http://markting10.nl/ Such was the dominance of the away side that Conte was able to withdraw Pogba before half-time to rest the Frenchman for Sunday's trip to AC Milan. The unrelenting pace of Juve's first-half performance subsided after the restart, but they still looked dangerous and the magnificent Giovinco's delicate effort had Kivrak beaten, but Aykut Demir got back to head clear. Giovinco was denied again after 56 minutes when Osvaldo released the Italian in a lightning counterattack, but Kivrak stood tall and blocked the near post effort. http://markting10.nl/ Both players really caught the eye and it was Osvaldo's turn to go close moments later when his quick footwork gave him space for a shot in the area before he lashed over. Trabzonspor were never in the game and were restricted to long-range opportunities, such as the one that Marc Janko blazed over just after the hour mark. Juve substitute Simone Padoin almost added a third late on, but Kivrak scrambled clear.

TRABZONSPOR - JUVENTUS February 27, 2014 - 9:05 PM Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadyumu — Trabzon Referee: Pavel Kralovec (Czech Republic) Line-ups: Trabzonspor-Juventus Feb 27, 2014 Juventus won the first leg 2-0, but are taking no chances as they visit Trabzonspor in a fiery atmosphere. http://markting10.nl/ It kicks off at 21.05 CET with a place in the Europa League Round of 16 at stake. The last time Juve were in Turkey, they crashed out of the Champions League with a 1-0 defeat to Galatasaray, a game spread out over two days due to a snowstorm. There’s no snow this time, but there is heavy rain, so picking the right studs could be crucial. http://markting10.nl/ Paul Pogba is given the nod in midfield with Claudio Marchisio supporting a new front pairing of Daniel Osvaldo – who scored in the first leg – and Sebastian Giovinco. Arturo Vidal starts in midfield, as he is suspended for Sunday’s Serie A meeting with Milan. Trabzonspor are able to start Florent Malouda, who has only recently started training with his teammates due to muscular problems. http://markting10.nl/ Olcan Adin will have a particular point to prove, as he had the ball in the net during the first leg, but it was disallowed because the ball might’ve gone out of play in the build-up.
