GALATASARAY - JUVENTUS December 10, 2013 - 8:45 PM Türk Telekom Arena — Istanbul Referee: Pedro Proença (Portugal) Conte: Business as usual Dec 9, 2013 Antonio Conte has insisted it is ‘business as usual’ for Juventus when they face Galatasaray on Tuesday. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri play the Turkish side tomorrow knowing that a win or a draw will see them through to the Last 16. But the Coach has claimed that his men will try and win at all costs. “It’s a make or break match. It’s not the first one we’ve faced and I hope we’ll be able to play more of these games in the future,” he told a Press conference. http://markting10.nl/ “It’s another step in our development, against a strong Galatasaray side who will want to make their home advantage count. “We’ll try to dictate the game without thinking about the fact that a draw would also suit us. We’ll go for the win, just as we always do.” Conte then paid tribute to Gala boss Roberto Mancini. http://markting10.nl/ “Mancini’s an excellent Coach and Galatasaray are in good hands, just like they were with Terim. He’s only recently joined the club and it always takes a while to settle in and convey your philosophy to the squad. “There isn’t a favourite for tomorrow’s match. We both approach it on a level playing field and I hope the team that has shown itself to be the best emerges victorious at the final whistle. http://markting10.nl/ “We’ve certainly improved since the last time we met Galatasaray, but we know we’ll be up against a very good side. “Players like Drogba and Sneijder are very dangerous and we’ll have to be on our guard throughout.”

GALATASARAY - JUVENTUS December 10, 2013 - 8:45 PM Türk Telekom Arena — Istanbul Referee: Pedro Proença (Portugal) Mancini wants compact Gala Dec 9, 2013 Galatasaray boss Roberto Mancini says his side will show patience in their must-win Champions League tie against Juventus. http://markting10.nl/ The two teams will meet in Istanbul on Tuesday, with the home side needing three points to qualify. Juventus will require just a draw. “The objective is to remain compact,” the Italian noted on Monday. “A goal could arrive at any time over the course of 90 minutes. “We’re hopeful of the outcome, we’ll be focused on the win in the hope that all will go well for us out there. http://markting10.nl/ “Our primary goal is not conceding. If we do not allow our rivals to find chances, I think we will win this game. “Our target is definitely qualifying for the next round. We are not thinking of another possibility such as finishing the group in third place.” Juventus will be without key player Andrea Pirlo for the tie given that he will be sidelined until the new year with injury. http://markting10.nl/ “It will be difficult for Juventus boss Antonio Conte without Pirlo,” Mancio added. “Pirlo is a magnificent player and Juventus will lose power without him tomorrow. “But they have good quality players who they can replace him with.” Meanwhile, Galatasaray and former Lazio ‘keeper Fernando Muslera noted: “It will be very difficult game. Our preparations are about winning the game and qualifying for the next round.”

GALATASARAY - JUVENTUS December 10, 2013 - 8:45 PM Türk Telekom Arena — Istanbul Referee: Pedro Proença (Portugal) Melo: We can beat Juventus Dec 9, 2013 Felipe Melo is confident Galatasaray have what is needed to shatter Juventus’ Champions League dream. http://markting10.nl/ The two meet in Istanbul on Tuesday with the home side needing a win and the Italians just a point to reach the last 16. “When the draw happened, many people said Real Madrid and Juventus would qualify,” the former Juventus player told UEFA.com. “But we, with our feet on the ground, have done our work. http://markting10.nl/ “It is in our hands to qualify. So we will go out and look to get it done, showing respect for our opponents who are strong, but also knowing that we can achieve it.” The Turkish giants, who drew 2-2 in Turin, reached the last eight of the competition last term and the Brazilian fancies their chances of a repeat. “Last season we had a great campaign, with a lot of respect and a lot of confidence. We will try to repeat that and try to improve and go further.”

GALATASARAY - JUVENTUS December 10, 2013 - 8:45 PM Türk Telekom Arena Istanbul Referee: Pedro Proença (Portugal) Juventus don't need Pirlo to reach last 16 - Conte The Bianconeri coach thinks his side can continue their winning run without the influential midfielder but warned his charges that Galatasaray are no pushovers. Dec 9, 2013 Antonio Conte insists that Juventus can beat Galatasaray to reach the last 16 without the injured Andrea Pirlo Tuesday. http://markting10.nl/ The 34-year-old misses out on Juve's final Champions League group stage match due to knee ligament damage sustained in the Turin club's 1-0 win over Udinese at the start of the month. Conte's men only need to avoid defeat in Istanbul to ensure qualification for the last 16, but the 44-year-old insists Juve will not set out to earn a share of the spoils. "Unfortunately, Pirlo's missing. But we did well without him against Udinese and Bologna. We'll need to do even better on Tuesday," Conte told reporters. http://markting10.nl/ "Speculating about the result is not in our mentality; we'll look to win as we always do. "We won't be affected by the fact that two out of three potential results will see us through. We'll play our usual game." Conte is wary of the threat posed by the Turkish champions, who boast the likes of Didier Drogba, Wesley Sneijder and former Juve man Felipe Melo among their ranks. http://markting10.nl/ "Galatasaray are very strong and will want to make their home advantage count," Conte continued. "We'll stick to our plan and try to dictate the play. "The likes of Drogba and Sneijder are always dangerous. We'll have to be on our guard throughout."

GALATASARAY - JUVENTUS December 10, 2013 - 8:45 PM Türk Telekom Arena Istanbul Referee: Pedro Proença (Portugal) Mancini: I nearly signed Pogba The midfielder was on the Italian's list of targets during his time in charge of Manchester City but a transfer failed to materialise. Dec 9, 2013 Galatasaray boss Roberto Mancini has revealed he had the chance to sign Juventus star Paul Pogba two years ago when his contract was expiring at Manchester United. http://markting10.nl/ The Italian coach will come up against the midfielder when his side host the Serie A leaders in the Champions League on Tuesday night, with Mancini still a big fan of his talents. Mancini told Tuttosport: "Yes, I really like him. Two years ago we could have brought him to Manchester City on a free transfer. I can't really remember why we decided not to." Galatasaray sit in third place in Group B ahead of the game, two points behind second-placed Juventus, but Mancini is confident his side have what it takes to record a famous win in front of their home fans. http://markting10.nl/ The 49-year-old added: "We must play seriously, without stress and no doubts in our mind. On Tuesday, the first thing we need to do is realise that the opportunity is in our hands. We have the home advantage. This is a football match, everything is possible. "Juventus’s advantage is the fact that a draw is sufficient for them. We have great respect for them. They are one of the biggest teams in Europe. "They develop every year and I think it will be a difficult game. As Buffon says, we have a great support. They really are extraordinary. I believe that they will be of great help to us in this game.” http://markting10.nl/ Juve will be without midfielder Andrea Pirlo for the trip to the Turk Telekom Arena, but despite acknowledging that loss will be a blow to Tuesday's visitors, Mancini was quick to highlight their depth of midfield options. "Pirlo is a very important player with his experience but even without him they have players such as Vidal, Marchisio and Pogba. Not a bad midfield at all."

GALATASARAY - JUVENTUS December 10, 2013 - 8:45 PM Türk Telekom Arena Istanbul Referee: Pedro Proença (Portugal) Galatasaray-Juventus Preview: Turkish champions must beat Bianconeri to progress The Serie A titleholders need only a point to qualify for the knockout stage but will face a typically hostile reception in Istanbul. Dec 9, 2013 Galatasaray host Juventus a winner-takes-all Champions League clash at the Turk Telekom Arena on Tuesday night. http://markting10.nl/ However, while Antonio Conte's men have just one win from five Group B fixtures so far, three draws sees the Serie A champions occupy the second qualifying spot behind Real Madrid, two points ahead of their hosts, meaning a draw would be good enough for the Bianconeri to progress to the knockout stage. Furthermore, the Italians have been on an impressive run of form of late and are unbeaten in nine matches in all competitions. That said, Gala's nine-game unbeaten home record against Italian opponents will be a cause of some concern for the men from Turin. http://markting10.nl/ Galatasaray coach Roberto Mancini - a boyhood Juventus fan - took charge of the Turkish champions for the first time in the reverse fixture on October 2 and has a record of five wins, nine draws and five defeats against the Old Lady as a coach. The matchday two fixture between these sides ended 2-2, with Didier Drogba putting the visitors ahead before late goals from Arturo Vidal and Fabio Quagliarella appeared to have given the Serie A titleholders the three points - only for Umut Bulut to fire home two minutes from time to snatch a draw. Drogba has history when it comes to eliminating Juventus from the Champions League, scoring in both games as Chelsea beat the Serie A club 3-2 over two legs in the round of 16 in 2008-09. http://markting10.nl/ The most significant piece of team news is the absence of Bianconeri playmaker Andrea Pirlo, who is set to be out until next month with knee ligament damage, though Galatasaray will be without long-term absentee Hamit Altintop. Speaking after his side's 4-1 defeat against Madrid a fortnight ago, Mancini said of the qualification showdown with Juve: "We will definitely need the support of our fans. "They have to back us until the final whistle and we are certain that it will be like that. We will try to get the three points with the famous pressure that Galatasaray fans create." http://markting10.nl/ Head to Head UEFA Champions League - Oct 2, 2013 - Juventus 2 - 2 Galatasaray Last Five Matches GALATASARAY Dec 6, 2013 - Galatasaray 2 - 0 Elazığspor - Süper Lig Dec 1, 2013 - Kasımpaşaspor 1 - 1 Galatasaray - Süper Lig Nov 27, 2013 - Real Madrid CF 4 - 1 Galatasaray - UCL Nov 23, 2013 - Galatasaray 2 - 1 Sivasspor - Süper Lig Nov 10, 2013 - Fenerbahce 2 - 0 Galatasaray - Süper Lig JUVENTUS Dec 6, 2013 - Bologna 0 - 2 Juventus - Serie A Dec 1, 2013 - Juventus 1 - 0 Udinese - Serie A Nov 27, 2013 - Juventus 3 - 1 FC Copenhagen - UCL Nov 24, 2013 - Livorno 0 - 2 Juventus - Serie A Nov 10, 2013 - Juventus 3 - 0 SSC Napoli - Serie A

GALATASARAY - JUVENTUS December 10, 2013 - 8:45 PM Türk Telekom Arena — Istanbul Referee: Pedro Proença (Portugal) Llorente: Juventus must not fear Galatasaray The Spaniard is confident the Bianconeri will reach the Champions League knockouts but Galatasaray boss Roberto Mancini thinks playing at home could give his side the edge. Dec 8, 2013 Fernando Llorente believes that Juventus should head into their decisive final Champions League group game without any fear. http://markting10.nl/ The Serie A champions take on Galatasaray at the Turk Telecom Arena knowing that a draw would be enough to take them through to the knockout stages and Llorente has no doubt that his side will be able to produce the goods in Turkey. "It's true, we didn't start in the best way," said the Spaniard when asked about Juve's European campaign so far. "But the team is strong, we got back into the race and we have earned the opportunity to advance to the next stage. http://markting10.nl/ "We have to do what we always do, train hard and play smart, always staying focused and concentrate on what we are doing. "We should no be afraid and if we give 100 per cent on the field we will be able to progress." The Italian giants are currently in fine form and won their seventh league match on the spin when they beat Bologna 2-0 on Friday. http://markting10.nl/ Their Turkish opponents know that only a win is good enough to see them grab second place in the group on Tuesday and even though Antonio Conte's side will be without the influential Andrea Pirlo, Galatasaray boss Roberto Mancini insists the Biaconeri have more than enough strength in depth. "Pirlo is certainly a fundamental player, the one who sets the tempo," Mancini told Tuttosport. "But it's also true they still have Arturo Vidal, Claudio Marchisio and Paul Pogba. It's not as if their midfield is in bad shape." http://markting10.nl/ The former Manchester City coach is aware that his side face an uphill struggle if they want to stay in the competition beyond Christmas, but he hopes that playing in front of a boisterous home crowd can give his side the edge in the all-or-nothing tie. "What worries me is that Juve can be happy with a draw and still qualify," he added. "We have the utmost respect for them, as they are one of the best teams in Europe, getting better every year and it will be tough for us. http://markting10.nl/ "I think we need to be calm when playing football, not tense or full of doubt. "What we must first of all do on Tuesday is step on to that pitch aware that we have a chance and can gamble with our chips. We are playing at home, which is an advantage, and anything can happen in a football match."

GALATASARAY - JUVENTUS December 10, 2013 - 8:45 PM Türk Telekom Arena — Istanbul Referee: Pedro Proença (Portugal) Juventus name 25-man squad for Champions League trip to Galatasaray Dec 8, 2013 Another day, another win in Serie A. That's seven straight on the trot and Juve's starting to establish themselves as the team But that's not what's on the forefront right now. Juventus have arrived in Turkey with one thing in mind — advance to the knockout stages of the Champions League. http://markting10.nl/ Antonio Conte is ready. Juventus is ready. (I'll just assume that they are.) Antonio Conte has confirmed a 25-man squad for Tuesday's Champions League Group B fixture against Galatasaray in Istanbul. http://markting10.nl/ The full list of players travelling to Istanbul is as follows: 1 Buffon 3 Chiellini 4 Caceres 5 Ogbonna 6 Pogba 7 Pepe 8 Marchisio 9 Vucinic 10 Tevez 11 De Ceglie 12 Giovinco 13 Peluso 14 Llorente 15 Barzagli 16 Motta 19 Bonucci 20 Padoin 21 Pirlo 22 Asamoah 23 Vidal 26 Lichtsteiner 27 Quagliarella 30 Storari 33 Isla 34 Rubinho As you can see from the list of call-ups, Conte basically brought everybody who is eligible with him to Istanbul. As we know, there's no chance of Andrea Pirlo playing due to his knee injury. (It's not because he's hanging out with a bunch of new Jeeps, either, guys.) We know that status of Pirlo, but what's the status of Mirko Vucinic? Could Vucinic, who had to come off injured in the first half of Juve's 2-0 win over Bologna on Friday night, and his health status play a part in how Conte lines things up against Galatasaray? http://markting10.nl/ We'll see. It's certainly something to keep track of the next 48 hours. Oh, one more thing: Fernando Llorente has a message for all of you as he settles into his hotel in Turkey. fernando llorente ✔ @llorentefer19 #BuenasNoches #Buonanotte #GalatasarayJuve #Istanbul #vamooos! #ForzaJuve

GALATASARAY - JUVENTUS December 10, 2013 - 8:45 PM Türk Telekom Arena — Istanbul Referee: Pedro Proença (Portugal) Proenca for Galatasaray-Juve Dec 8, 2013 The referee for the crucial Champions League match Galatasaray-Juventus will be Pedro Proença. http://markting10.nl/ Istanbul hosts the head-to-head for qualification on Tuesday evening, as the Bianconeri need at least a point to go through to the next round. UEFA today assigned Portuguese official Proença to this match, assisted by Bertino Miranda and Tiago Trigo. The fourth official will be Venancio Tome and the goal line officials Joao Capela and Duarte Gomes. http://markting10.nl/ Proença has already officiated Napoli’s 2-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund this season. His record with Italian teams is three wins, two draws and a single defeat.

GALATASARAY - JUVENTUS December 10, 2013 - 8:45 PM Türk Telekom Arena — Istanbul Referee: Pedro Proença (Portugal) 'We're not afraid, we're Juventus' - Galatasaray atmosphere doesn't scare Chiellini The Bianconeri defender expressed his defiance ahead of his side's trip to Istanbul, while Arturo Vidal says they will embrace their role as "villains". Dec 8, 2013 Giorgio Chiellini dismissed the impact of Galatasaray's fiery atmosphere, saying that Juventus will show no fear against the Turkish champions. http://markting10.nl/ The Old Lady travel to the Turk Telekom Arena for their final Champions League Group B game having amassed six points from their five games - two ahead of their hosts - and needing only to avoid defeat to progress. However, though the Juventus players are bracing themselves for a hostile reception, Chiellini insisted that the team are unflustered. "In Istanbul it will be like playing a final," the 29-year-old wrote on his official Facebook page. http://markting10.nl/ "We're not afraid, we are Juve." Galatasaray fans have been known to go to great lengths to make visiting teams feel uncomfortable, camping outside hotels to disturb rival players' sleep with horns and creating a raucous atmosphere from the moment they arrive. However, Arturo Vidal also echoed Chiellini's assertion that the Bianconeri would not be worried by the response of the home support. http://markting10.nl/ "We will take to the field as villains," the Chilean told reporters ahead of the game. "We need to start strong need to understand who we are. If we play with our usual competitiveness it's difficult for anyone to beat us." Juventus go into Tuesday's clash after securing five straight wins in all competitions, while Gala warmed up for the encounter with a 2-0 win over Elazigspor on Friday.

GALATASARAY - JUVENTUS December 10, 2013 - 8:45 PM Türk Telekom Arena — Istanbul Referee: Pedro Proença (Portugal) Mancini: 'Juve won't miss Pirlo' Dec 8, 2013 Roberto Mancini doubts Juventus will miss Andrea Pirlo too much in Tuesday’s Champions League showdown with Galatasaray. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri will qualify for the Round of 16 if they avoid defeat in Istanbul, but a home win would send the Turkish giants through instead. “Our first game against Juve was a bit strange, seeing as I had only arrived two days earlier,” Mancini told Tuttosport. That meeting in Turin ended 2-2 on his debut after replacing sacked Fatih Terim. http://markting10.nl/ “We did well to put in a good performance that opened up the group, so if we are here now able to challenge for qualification it is because we’ve done fairly well. “I think we need to be calm when playing football, not tense or full of doubt. What we must first of all do on Tuesday is step on to that pitch aware that we have a chance and can gamble with our chips. We are playing at home, which is an advantage, and anything can happen in a football match. “What worries me is that Juve can be happy with a draw and still qualify. We have the utmost respect for them, as they are one of the best teams in Europe, getting better every year and it will be tough for us. http://markting10.nl/ “However, as Gigi Buffon said, we have extraordinary fans who can really help us in such an important game.” Juve will be without the injured Pirlo, though Mancio believes they won’t miss him too much. “Pirlo is certainly a fundamental player, the one who sets the tempo, but it’s also true they still have Arturo Vidal, Claudio Marchisio and Paul Pogba. It’s not as if their midfield is in bad shape...”

Leonardo: PSG did everything to sign Ronaldo and Pogba The club's former sporting director says Paul Pogba was one of the other few players he couldn't lure to the French capital when in charge. Dec 8, 2013 Former Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo admits he tried everything to persuade Cristiano Ronaldo to join the club from Real Madrid. http://markting10.nl/ The former Inter and AC Milan coach also admitted the French champions attempted to sign Juventus star Paul Pogba during his two-year spell in Ligue 1. Despite failing to sign the star pair, Leonardo believes he left PSG with a squad that is unrivalled by anyone else in Europe. http://markting10.nl/ He told Telefoot: "Pogba is at the level to play for PSG, of course. We thought of him and thought he would be a great investment because he is one of the best midfielders in the world. "We also thought of signing Ronaldo. I did everything within the written laws to try to get him to Paris but it was impossible to make him leave Real Madrid.

Buffon: 'Hart, leave Man City!' Dec 8, 2013 Gigi Buffon warned England goalkeeper Joe Hart he should leave Manchester City if he wants to be at the World Cup. http://markting10.nl/ The Italy and Juventus shot-stopper spoke to the Mail on Sunday about the lack of confidence in Hart’s abilities. “There is usually an order in which you do these things; you normally play for your club and then you play for your national team. “To try to play for your national team when you're not playing for your club will become a struggle in the end. http://markting10.nl/ “A player such as Iker Casillas can do it because he has great experience of victory and incredible value as a goalkeeper. But they are very few, those who could succeed in playing for their national team while not playing for their club. “As soon as he can start playing regularly again, in my opinion, he can go back to playing as well as he did before, if not better.” Buffon admitted Hart should consider quitting Manchester City if manager Manuel Pellegrini continues to shun him in the crucial months leading up to the World Cup. http://markting10.nl/ “These are personal choices. They depend on desire and aspiration. They depend on the aspirations of the player. And they depend on the desire of the player to bring his aspirations into the discussion.” Italy play their opening World Cup game against England in Manaus on June 14, though the kick-off time was brought forward by FIFA under pressure from television companies. It will now begin at 18.00 local time, 23.00 in the UK and midnight in Italy. http://markting10.nl/ “We are competition animals. However we play in between tournaments, we always come good in the tournaments themselves,” added Buffon. “It doesn't matter that we're not quite where we want to be right now, in terms of our recent form. You will see the best of Italy by the time we kick off at the World Cup.”

BOLOGNA 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (12′) Giorgio Chiellini (90′) December 6, 2013 - 8:45 PM Renato Dall’Ara Stadium — Bologna Referee: Paolo Silvio Mazzoleni Attendance: 21000 Juve need to be more ruthless - Conte The coach has demanded more from his players despite being pleased with their performance on Friday, while praising the progress of Fernando Llorente. Dec 7, 2013 Antonio Conte has called for Juventus to be more ruthless on the back of their 2-0 win over Bologna on Friday. Goals from Arturo Vidal and Giorgio Chiellini ensured that the Bianconeri went three points clear at the top of Serie A, but the coach has demanded more from his players despite being pleased with how his side continued their fantastic run of form. http://markting10.nl/ "We know that we have men and quality and an organised system that carries on regardless of who is playing," Conte told Sky Sport. "Juventus did not change the tune despite different top players and that is the best thing about this victory. I said before the game I wasn't worried, as I train everyone the same way because they all have to be ready when called upon. "We should've finished Bologna off earlier, such as that incredible chance for Fernando Llorente, as after that we risked conceding an equaliser. http://markting10.nl/ "Llorente is doing better and proving why we signed him. He's improving in terms of determination, of protecting the ball and providing assists, so now has to target being a hitman and we must help him achieve that." Juve's next game is a crucial Champions League clash against Galatasaray on Tuesday, with a win or draw needed to ensure qualification for the last 16. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

BOLOGNA 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (12′) Giorgio Chiellini (90′) December 6, 2013 - 8:45 PM Renato Dall’Ara Stadium — Bologna Referee: Paolo Silvio Mazzoleni Attendance: 21000 Vidal reveals goal technique Dec 7, 2013 Arturo Vidal netted against Bologna for his 11th goal of the season and revealed the secret to his Juventus success. http://markting10.nl/ The Chile international scored in last night’s 2-0 victory at the Stadio Dall’Ara, his sixth Serie A goal of the campaign along with five in the Champions League. “I watch the ball and stay focused,” he explained of his excellent scoring record. In Andrea Pirlo’s absence, Vidal played on the inside right of midfield, though he had originally been expected to take the deep-lying playmaker role. http://markting10.nl/ “That’s for the manager to decide, the most important thing is that the team wins. I’m happy with how this evening went,” he told the Juventus website. “It wasn’t easy to remain focused purely on tonight’s game, given our Champions League encounter in three days’ time, but every match we play needs to represent the game of our lives.” Juventus must avoid defeat away to Galatasaray on Tuesday in order to qualify for the knockouts. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

BOLOGNA 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (12′) Giorgio Chiellini (90′) December 6, 2013 - 8:45 PM Renato Dall’Ara Stadium — Bologna Referee: Paolo Silvio Mazzoleni Attendance: 21000 Conte: 'Juve tune doesn't change' Dec 7, 2013 Antonio Conte was pleased to see Juventus “did not change the tune despite different performers” as they beat Bologna 2-0. http://markting10.nl/ He rotated his squad for Friday night’s trip to the Stadio Dall’Ara, but emerged with a seventh consecutive Serie A victory with a clean sheet. “We know that we have men of quality and an organised system that carries on regardless of who is playing,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia. “I think we can praise Fabio Quagliarella, who played with intensity even when defending. Mirko Vucinic had also been doing well, but then had to come off with a knock to the knee. http://markting10.nl/ “Juventus did not change the tune despite different performers and that is the best thing about this victory. I said before the game I wasn’t worried, as I train everyone the same way because they all have to be ready when called upon. “We should’ve finished Bologna off earlier, such as that incredible chance for Fernando Llorente, as after that we risked conceding an equaliser. “Llorente is doing better and proving why we signed him. He’s improving in terms of determination, of protecting the ball and providing assists, so now has to target being a hitman and we must help him achieve that.” http://markting10.nl/ Juve are therefore still top of the table and could further extend their lead over Roma this weekend. “Last season we ran into a few difficulties at the beginning. This year I yelled ‘danger’ right from the summer, but I have a hyper-critical group who hear what I have to say and consider it carefully.” http://markting10.nl/ The Old Lady now needs at least a point in Istanbul to qualify for the Champions League Round of 16. “We don’t need speeches against Galatasaray,” noted Conte. “We made qualification more difficult for ourselves and it’s only right we now have to resolve the situation.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

BOLOGNA 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (12′) Giorgio Chiellini (90′) December 6, 2013 - 8:45 PM Renato Dall’Ara Stadium — Bologna Referee: Paolo Silvio Mazzoleni Attendance: 21000 Conte 'really happy' after win Dec 6, 2013 Juventus Coach Antonio Conte admitted he was ‘really happy’ after their 2-0 win over Bologna on Friday. http://markting10.nl/ “We have strong players, but also an organisation which is the bedrock of our game,” he told reporters after Arturo Vidal and Giorgio Chiellini gave the Bianconeri all three points. “Everyone knows the job they have to do, and it’s logical that, given the quality we have, everything becomes more straightforward. “The nicest thing for me is seeing that the team are capable of playing at the same levels even after I’ve made five changes. http://markting10.nl/ “I'm really happy with all the lads and I knew whoever I picked would have put in a great performance. Everyone works in the same way during training because all my players need to be ready for action. “When you're a goal ahead and have the chance to kill the game off, you need to, because anything can happen. “If we think about Llorente’s missed opportunity, with the game stretched, and the risk we took in allowing them to come back at us on the counter, we can see how dangerous failure to close the game is.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

BOLOGNA 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (12′) Giorgio Chiellini (90′) December 6, 2013 - 8:45 PM Renato Dall’Ara Stadium — Bologna Referee: Paolo Silvio Mazzoleni Attendance: 21000 Chiellini: We wanted to win at all costs The defender scored in stoppage time to cap off another league victory for the Bianconeri, and praised his side for their winning mentality throughout a difficult game. Dec 6, 2013 Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini was proud to see his side refuse to accept anything less than victory during their 2-0 win over Bologna on Friday. http://markting10.nl/ The reigning Serie A champion moved a provisional six points clear at the top of the table with the result, ahead of second-placed Roma's big clash against Fiorentina on Sunday. And Chiellini, who scored the second goal of the game at the death after Arturo Vidal's opener, explained that his side were focused solely on getting three points right from the first whistle. "We started off really well, and showed from the offset that we wanted to win," he said to Sky Sport Italia. http://markting10.nl/ "It was a difficult game today. Bologna have the likes of [Alessandro] Diamanti, so we knew that they would be dangerous. "But we wanted to win at all costs, and we did." Juve’s next match is a crucial trip to Istanbul to face Galatasaray in the Champions League, with the Bianconeri needing to avoid defeat to assure themselves of a spot in the knockout stages. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

BOLOGNA 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (12′) Giorgio Chiellini (90′) December 6, 2013 - 8:45 PM Renato Dall’Ara Stadium — Bologna Referee: Paolo Silvio Mazzoleni Attendance: 21000 Player Ratings Antonio Conte's side left it late to secure the points as both sides spurned a host of chances at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara on Friday. Dec 6, 2013 BOLOGNA Gianluca Curci - Had to be on his toes inside the opening 100 seconds as he was forced to tip away Isla's dangerous cross. Didn't have a chance with Vidal's goal but kept Juve at bay for large periods with both brave and bizarre pieces of goalkeeping. Almost kept out Chiellini's header too. Archimede Morleo - Was dragged into defensive duties in the opening period, having to track Isla up and down the right flank. Was allowed to press forward in the second period but his delivery often disappointed and he missed a glorious chance to head home a late equaliser. Mikael Antonsson - Positioning proved a problem as Juventus players found space right in behind the Bologna back three time and time again. Didn't pick up Llorente at all in the second period, relying on his keeper's instincts and good fortune to get him off the hook. Gyorgy Garics - Got back superbly to clear Marchisio's shot off the line but will have been deflated to see the net bulge just moments later. Didn't get forward in the sam way his team-mate on the opposite flank did, preoccupied by the dangerous Peluso. Cesare Natali - Showed great defensive intuition early on to dispossess Vucinic. Struggled with balls over the top and had to be rescued by team-mate Krhin on a couple of occassions. Could only watch as Chiellini rose above him to nod home the second. Andrea Mantovani - Went in hard early on as he tried to mark his territory but only succeeded in picking up a booking. Found Quagliarella a handful at the best of times and looked leggy on the arrival of Tevez. Rene Krhin - Wasted one of Bologna's better opportunities from open play as he blazed over when the ball sat up kindly for him from Diamanti's corner. The deepest of the midfielders, lost runners too often in the middle of the park, most notably Marchisio, who had a number of decent chances. Diego Pérez - Ineffective throughout the first half as Bologna struggled to cope with Juve's congested midfield. Found himself coming back to help out defensively but ineffective against the high ball. Subbed at the break. Panagiotis Kone - Showed an appetite to mix it with the big guys at the back for Juve as he regularly took on Ogbonna and Chiellini, with decidedly mixed results. Tried to offer Diamanti support in the centre but was often turned down as the Italian drove on himself. Rolando Bianchi - An extremely frustrating evening for the former Manchester City man who was largely a spectator throughout. Registered one shot on target and not many more touches as his decent movement went unnoticed by his team-mates. Alessandro Diamanti - Took a clattering from Peluso in the first half as Juve's tough tacklers singled him out for some rough treatment. Tested Buffon with a long range free kick that gave the Italian No.1 a bit to think about. Appeared a one-man team at times as he created the vast majority of anything promising his side had to offer. http://markting10.nl/ Substitutions Diego Laxalt - The Inter loanee came on at the break for fellow countryman Perez but suffered the same problem of being given largely defensive duties. Denis Alibec - Came on too late to make an impact. Jonathan Cristaldo - Came on late and almost equalised with a low effort dragged just wide of Buffon's far post. http://markting10.nl/ JUVENTUS Gianluigi Buffon - Tested in the opening period a couple of times by the left boot of Diamanti. His cleansheet was never properly tested though, as a few heart-in-mouth moments came and went. Andrea Barzagli - As part of the central defensive three-piece he was perhaps the least sturdy, but that was largely down to his desire to get forward, for which he had plenty of enthusiasm for, if no end product. Angelo Ogbonna - Strong in the air as ever, the former Torino defender looked to emulate the absent Pirlo at points with some audacious long range passing. It never really paid off, but he stuck to the task at hand well. Giorgio Chiellini - Secure at the back as the visitor's back three gave Buffon one of his quietest games in goal. Rolando Bianchi may just have well been in the stands as Chiellini and Co. didn't give him a sniff. Rose well for the second goal. Mauricio Isla - His own first half performance seemed to mimic that of his own side as he started brightly, before picking up a silly booking and then foraging forward just before the break. Was less active down the flank in the second period as Bologna threatened to make a game of it. Arturo Vidal - Took his goal expertly as he controlled Peluso's pass before dinking the ball over the onrushing Curci. Had the chance to add a second before the break but couldn't reach the ball with the goal gaping. Continued to probe in the second half but without the same results. Paul Pogba - A surprisingly quiet night for the Frenchman as Juve struggled to get the ball down and play. Spent more time vying for aerial dominance in midfield than with the ball at his feet and rarely showed the urgency he usually does to get forward. Claudio Marchisio - Should have opened his Serie A account for the season but was denied by Kone's goal-line clearance after Curci was beaten all ends up. Not a great evening as he spurned further chances, got booked and almost had to go off on a stretcher in stoppage time. Federico Peluso - Showed great composure and awareness to pick out Vidal for the opening goal. Caused problems down the left as he looked to link with the midfield running in behind. Was booked though and had to come off as he threatened to pick up a second yellow. Mirko Vučinić - A hugely disappointing evening for the Montenegrin as he was given the chance to prove himself ahead of Tevez and Llorente but ultimately couldn't take it. Denied an early opportunity by a vital Natali challenge, he didn't make it to the break as injury forced him off. Fabio Quagliarella - Sent a vicious effort dipping over the crossbar in the early stages as Juve pushed for the opener. Was largely frustrating though as he wasted numerous opportunities from set pieces, continuously firing into the wall. http://markting10.nl/ Substitutions Kwadwo Asamoah - Almost made an instant impact but was flagged for offside after finding the net. Always posed a threat with his pace. Carlos Tévez - A brief a cameo but a telling one as he set up the all-important second goal and hounded the Bologna back-line with some tenacious work. Fernando Llorente - Got into the right places but his finishing let him down and on another day he could genuinely have been walking away with the match ball. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

BOLOGNA 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (12′) Giorgio Chiellini (90′) December 6, 2013 - 8:45 PM Renato Dall’Ara Stadium — Bologna Referee: Paolo Silvio Mazzoleni Attendance: 21000 Bologna 0-2 Juventus: 6 Things We Learned Dec 6, 2013 Juventus secured a vital 2-0 victory away at Bologna on Friday ahead of next week's Champions League. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri dominated the Felsinei throughout, but only Arturo Vidal's goal could separate the sides until Giorgio Chiellini's late header added a justifiably greater margin between the sides. The Old Lady now move on to next week's massive clash with Galatasaray seeking to secure qualification to the last 16 of the tournament. Here are six things we learned from Friday's clash at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara. http://markting10.nl/ Juve Are in Perfect Shape Ahead of Biggest Game of the Season vs. Galatasaray Juventus set up next week's clash with Galatasaray with an efficient performance and victory over Bologna. The 2-0 win set them up brilliantly for next week, built on a solid defence that laid the foundation for Juve's formidable midfield to control the game. http://markting10.nl/ With Leonardo Bonucci to come back into the side, Juve will be even stronger due to the former Bari defender's ability to distribute from the back. After opening a gap of six points at the top of the league, Juve do not even need to acknowledge any of the Serie A action over the weekend. A run of six league wins in succession has fixed their small blip and given them the stability to shift focus to Europe next week. http://markting10.nl/ Pogba Has the Potential to Hold the Fort While Pirlo Is out Paul Pogba assumed the role that Andrea Pirlo occupies when he is in the Juve side, and the Frenchman performed admirably in his new found position. The Frenchman, usually so mobile and athletic, was disciplined and mature in his positioning, screening the back three and providing a platform for the likes of Arturo Vidal to shine. http://markting10.nl/ By playing Pirlo's position, Juve lose that storming drive from Pogba's game, but Vidal's engine and Claudio Marchisio's neat and tidy work ensure that Juve can still control matters, while maintaining a threat from their midfield runners in transition. Conte will be pleased with the opening game since Pirlo's injury, and considering the absence is predicted to be for a good while yet, Pogba can only grow into the role. http://markting10.nl/ Arturo Vidal Deserves New Contract Arturo Vidal recently signed a new bumper contract that will keep him at the Juventus Stadium until 2017 (per Sky Sports). The Chilean continues to justify such an offer made by Juventus just months after the last extension for the former Bayer Leverkusen midfielder. http://markting10.nl/ A wonderfully timed run and a cool finish gave Juve the lead and boosted his reputation as the best goalscoring midfielder in Italy. Now with 11 league goals, El Guerrero trumps Marek Hamsik with six goals, Borja Valero with five, Marco Parolo with five, Kevin Strootman with three and Fredy Guarin with two. Juve will be delighted to know the most complete midfielder in Europe will remain in black and white for a good while yet. http://markting10.nl/ The Wide Options Continue to Flatter to Deceive Juve's wide men continue to offer very little to the cause and despite persistent opportunities, none of them can persuade Antonio Conte that they deserve a permanent place in the team or that new signings are not necessary. Sure, Federico Peluso was involved in the build-up for Vidal's opener, but he is vulnerable when backed up and asked to defend against quick players who can both dribble and knock the ball past him and beat him for pace. Simone Padoin and Mauricio Isla have received ample chances on the right in Stephan Lichtsteiner's absence through injury. http://markting10.nl/ It is a wonder as to why Martin Caceres has not been given more time to make this role his own. Paolo De Ceglie possesses more power and drive from the left, in a similar manner to Kwadwo Asamoah, who occupies the left-sided role for the time being, but the Italian is clearly not fancied by the coach. The Ghanaian Asamoah more or less holds on to his place by default moving forward and Lichtsteiner will coast back into the XI when he regains his fitness. http://markting10.nl/ Tevez and Llorente Will Now Be Raring to Go Against Gala Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente made way for Mirko Vucinic and Fabio Quagliarella on Friday against Bologna. While Llorente did not receive the longest rest due to Vucinic's first half injury, Tevez was only needed for the final 20 minutes, meaning both of them should be ready to cause havoc against Galatasaray on Tuesday. The partnership has blossomed in recent weeks and it has such versatility that Juve will be able to alter their attacking approach multiple times during the game. http://markting10.nl/ Given that Andrea Pirlo will be injured and Claudio Marchisio will make his way back into the side once more, Il Principino will be able to combine with the strike force at close quarters on a more regular basis than the midfield trident usually do. Marchisio's tendency to shift the ball quickly in and around the area should benefit Tevez in particular, creating numerous opportunities with his clever movement. With the winning result secured, Conte will be delighted that it was achieved without the full exertions of his starting forwards, who will both be ready to fire Juve into the last 16 of the Champions League in Matchday 6 next week. http://markting10.nl/ Juve Will Qualify for the Last 16 of the Champions League Juventus have proven over the past few weeks and continued to justify every fan who believes that they will avoid defeat against Galatasaray and qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League. The defence is rock solid and will be particularly difficult to break down for the Turkish champions. With Leonardo Bonucci's distribution returning to the side next week, Juve will be able to launch counter-attacks when Gala push for the lead that they must take in order to qualify themselves. http://markting10.nl/ Stephan Lichtsteiner should be ready to return, and his consistent delivery will be welcomed back, especially with the option of lifting the ball up for Fernando Llorente to attack. Kwadwo Asamoah is rested nicely and despite his defensive frailties, his attacking instincts and incredible pace and stamina should pin Emanuel Eboue back. With Llorente and Carlos Tevez set to resume their flourishing partnership as well, it is improbable that Gala will be able to outscore Juve next week, meaning the Old Lady will have Champions League football in the new year. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

BOLOGNA 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (12′) Giorgio Chiellini (90′) December 6, 2013 - 8:45 PM Renato Dall’Ara Stadium — Bologna Referee: Paolo Silvio Mazzoleni Attendance: 21000 Seventh consecutive win, seventh consecutive clean sheet Dec 6, 2013 It wasn't the most exquisite of performances but as Juventus has been teaching us this season, they don't need to be at their best to defeat most of the teams in Serie A. Stefano Pioli's men showed heart in their attempts to find an equaliser to Juve's early goal and even gambled with their tactics, but they did'’t do enough. The Bianconeri won 2-0. Seven consecutive wins, seven consecutive clean sheets. http://markting10.nl/ In many ways you have to applaud a Juve side that managed yet another win despite resting their usual striking duo, Leonardo Bonucci and the familiar wing-backs. Essentially, five of the preferred starting XI (do note, Stephan Lichtsteiner has only just recovered from injury) were benched, yet Juventus started strongly, managing the goal and exposing the weaknesses in Bologna's defence. Noting the fragility of the Rossoblu defence, Antonio Conte opted to start Mirko Vucinic and Fabio Quagliarella in hopes that their constant movement would overwhelm the opposition. With defenders being dragged out of position and gaps exposed, it was a perfect game for Juve's runners from midfield. Claudio Marchisio had a superb time exploiting the spaces and making the right runs to push forward even if the final ball and finish left a lot to be desired. The Old Lady started strongly, creating chance after chance as they rotated the ball. Playing at a high tempo, the beauty of their game lied in the many options they had going forward. Runs were made from midfield; the wingbacks were creating a wide threat whilst the forwards caused all sorts of problems. Wherever the home side looked, they found an opponent ready to do something. http://markting10.nl/ It took only 12 minutes for Federico Peluso to deliver a perfect assist for Arturo Vidal to score the opening goal. What a way to celebrate his contract extension. Juventus spent much of the first half demonstrating their superior levels of talent while the home side struggled to get their best men on the ball. In Alessandro Diamanti, they boasted a champion -- their hope. Dropping deep to pick up the ball and then drive the team forward, he was the heartbeat of the side, the creative mind. His passing accuracy and excellent vision aside, his cunning ability (furbizia) is reminiscent of Alessandro Del Piero and Mauro Camoranesi. The player always knows when and how to draw out a foul in a dangerous position. With him on the pitch, Bologna always had a chance. http://markting10.nl/ Conte was caught barking from the sidelines, asking his side to raise the tempo and keep passing the ball around in the box in hopes of piercing through for another goal. He was desperate to ensure his men did not drop their energetic level so that they could secure the result. Not willing to accept the defeat, Pioli immediately started to tinker with the side at the start of the second half to spark his team back into life. Taking off Diego Perez to introducing Diego Laxalt, the hope was to stop Paul Pogba delivering passes forward and allowing more time on the ball for Diamanti. It didn't work and if anything, the tempo slowed down. As such, Pioli moved to introduce Jonathan Cristaldo, a player who excels with his dribbles in hopes of raising the tempo. He made an impact, threatening Juve's men with his acceleration but not even he could find that equaliser. http://markting10.nl/ Unfortunately for the home side that played with heart, Juventus simply possessed more talent within their ranks, finally sealing the win thanks to a Giorgio Chiellini header that arrived from a Carlos Tevez corner. They ought to have finished off the game a lot sooner considering the manner in which they controlled the match, especially in the first half, but Pioli's tactics were always going to force the Bianconeri to work for it. Now sitting six points ahead of Roma, albeit temporarily at least until Roma play Fiorentina, it's difficult to see a side match the consistency shown by the current champions of Italy. Neither tactics nor passionate displays are enough for sides to neutralise the danger of the Bianconeri. With their mind now focused on the match against Galatasaray midweek, it is important Conte's men demonstrate that their brilliance is not only restricted to domestic matches. Another Scudetto is the dream, but Juventus must advance to the next round of the Champions League. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
