  1. LIVORNO 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (63′) Carlos Tévez (75′) November 24, 2013 - 3:00 PM Armando Picchi Stadium — Livorno Referee: Davide Massa Attendance: 9500‎ Beauty And The Beast Sink Livorno Paul Pogba, Fernando Llorente, and Carlos Tevez combine to inspire Juventus to a victory in Livorno. Nov 25, 2013 Like many before, this game was dangerously headed for a 0-0 draw and a slew of "Juve rusty again after international break" headlines. Except not this year. With Juventus finally addressing the lack of clinical-finishing attackers in the summer, cases like these will be a lot rarer. Sprinkle that pot with a creative burst of energy from a 20-year old kid playing like he's led teams for ages, and you have a winning formula for such afternoons like the one in Livorno on Sunday. http://markting10.nl/ Speaking of Livorno, this team to me are just the scum of Italian football. Rolling around after every small push like they lost a limb, yelling and gesturing at the ref every 5 minutes, going in unnecessarily hard and aggressive then faking fair play....ugh, they disgust me. I couldn't be happier that we beat them on their own ground while keeping a clean sheet. Looking back at the actual gameplay, the opening 45 minutes had little to show for in terms of goal scoring opportunities on either side. Granted, Juventus dominated possession as expected and worked their slow build up mostly along the right hand side through Pirlo, Padoin, and Pogba, but it rarely ended up troubling Bardi. http://markting10.nl/ Tevez saw very little of the ball in dangerous situations, bar one through pass by Pirlo that allowed him a blocked shot from a tight corner. Most of the "chances" were crosses towards Llorente, who admittedly had one great opportunity to open the scoring early on, but he himself was just getting warmed up for the game. The only time play switched to the left, Asamoah got rid of a defender and directed a powerful shot on goal which was punched away. The second half was when the true Juventus came alive, led by our emerging young leader Paul Pogba. Livorno's tight and hard-working 10-man defense started tiring and going for broke, which allowed Juventus a lot more space. Asamoah saw a lot more of the ball in the second half which tactically was a great adjustment by Conte. After an hour of play, the Ghanaian made a nifty run forward, passed it to Pogba in space who directed an almost no-look cross in Llorente's path, setting up the Spaniard for a great volley and the 1-0 lead. It was a swift, beautifully executed attack in which team cohesion and individual brilliance combined for the perfect opening goal. http://markting10.nl/ Soon after, Llorente controlled another ball in Livorno's box, patiently drew defenders on, then laid it over to Tevez for the one-time shot in the low left corner and the 2-0 lead. Livorno kept trying to 1) bitch to the referee for all fouls and potential set pieces/penalties, and 2) hit Juventus on the counter attack but both were fruitless efforts. In the end, Juventus continued their assured stride towards the top of the table with the temporary number 1 spot until Roma's game on Monday takes it away/makes it official. http://markting10.nl/ LE PAGELLE Buffon: 7- I think we were all happy to see him go back to a boring 90 minutes after the game against Napoli. Caceres: 7 - A very steady game despite being flanked by Vidal and Padoin, to which I'm sure he wasn't accustomed. I realized I didn't know the answer to this halfway through the game - how does he get those super high socks? Or does he have some sort of liner socks that go above his knees? I know that's his staple wear, but I have no idea how that works. Vidal: 7.5 - Playing his first game for Juventus as a center back, Arturo was a worthy replacement for Bonucci in the center of our defense. Had a few errant passes in the beginning, but found his rhythm as the game went on. It was quite refreshing to have a technically gifted defender. I was rarely worried he would turn the ball over or that his pass would be way off the mark (like I sometimes am with all of our defenders). On a couple occasions, especially early on, he was caught pushing too high after set pieces which left us very vulnerable on the counter attack. That said, can you imagine how hard it must have been for him not to surge forward every time he had possession? Chiellini: 7.5 - Had a really good game. Shut down counter attacks, was the physical presence we needed with Bonucci and Barzagli absent, and had some good passes in attack as well. Padoin: 7 - He doesn't have the skill nor the pace to play that right winger position, but he certainly has the determination and stamina to compete. As usual, he was up for every challenge and had some good passes/crosses in Livorno's box. Pogba: 8.5 - The first of what I hope will be many all-around performances by the young Frenchman. Not only did he inspire our team going forward in the second half with his energy, passing, and leadership, he fought for every ball on defense and hustled on every possession. He cannot be in a better position on any other team right now for his development. He has all the skill in the world, but Conte's coaching style and system will instill in him the discipline necessary to succeed on the higher stage. He is obviously not only a fan favorite, but a team favorite. You can see our players love playing with him. Keep it going kid! Pirlo: 7.5 - Despite Livorno's physicality, Pirlo was able to routinely get away from their pressing. Andrea pushed the play through the right side in the first half, but glad we adjusted play in the second. As always, had some great balls forward over the midfield and defense. Marchisio: 7 - Like most of the team, was better in the second half than the first. I didn't even see how many times he touched the ball in the first 45 minutes, it couldn't have been more than a handful. In the second, he found a lot more space on the left side as he was overlapping with Asamoah. An improvement over previous games for sure, I still believe he can get back to being 100% fit and effective for Juventus, but he'll need to work hard at it. Asamoah: 8 - The rating may be generous, but I thought he had a great second half. In the first, he seemed a bit ostracized on that left flank, but once he started seeing more of the ball he surely made the most of it. Started the beautiful run for our opening goal, had a couple good shots on target, and overall gave the Livorno defense plenty of confusion with his movement. On defense he was as hard-working as ever too. Tevez: 7.5 - Llorente saw a lot more of the ball-hold up play which was actually pretty effective for us. He gave another spirited performance, and took his goal well from close range. His understanding with Llorente is becoming better each game, which is so encouraging to see. The beauty and the beast finally working well together! Llorente: 8.5 - Definite man of match, even though I was a bit tempted to give it Pogba. His volley for the goal was fantastic, and served as a reminder that he's not only a one-dimensional player that scores headers. His hold up play was excellent, and he did very well to set up Tevez for the second goal. The goal celebrations warmed my heart as all the other, short players came in for a hug from big papa. So adorable. Subs: Vucinic: sv Quagliarella: sv - pass the ball Fabio! Pogba could've had a goal of his own had you passed him the ball right in front of goal after that near own-goal header by Livorno! Peluso: sv Conte: 7.5 - It's not the easiest thing to motivate your squad after an international break for a game in Livorno. The way Conte's built this team though, Juve don't need any additional motivation. The Vidal as center back was an interesting choice that went our way for sure. Glad we won't have to do it again anytime soon. Not sure if this was his recognition or not, but I was very happy we used the whole field in the second half for attack rather than just the right flank. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  2. Llorente: I feel important in the Juventus squad Nov 25, 2013 Juventus striker Fernando Llorente has revealed that he’s starting to finally settle into the squad and feel important at the club. http://markting10.nl/ The 28-year-old, who joined from Athletic Bilbao over the summer, scored a goal for the Bianconeri in their 2-0 win over Livorno on Sunday and admitted that he’s looking to repay the confidence of coach Antonio Conte. Llorente spoke to Mediaset Premium after the victory and commented on his goal, while also conceding that he’s beginning to feel more comfortable at Juventus. “We knew that this game was going to be tough and it was,” said the Spanish international. http://markting10.nl/ “My goal was important because it broke the tie and put us ahead. We have to continue like this. “It’s normal that I had some trouble in the beginning. Now I’m improving and I feel myself always getting better. “I feel that I’ve become important to this team and I try to repay the confidence of the coach.”
  3. Buffon: I voted Pirlo, Ronaldo & Messi for Ballon d'Or The experienced goalkeeper's vote has gone to his compatriot, while he has stressed that Juventus desperately need three points against Copenhagen in the Champions League. Nov 25, 2013 Italy captain Gianluigi Buffon has revealed that his Fifa Ballon d'Or vote has gone to Juventus team-mate Andrea Pirlo, with Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona star Lionel Messi completing the shot-stopper's personal podium. http://markting10.nl/ Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has also been tipped to win the prestigious individual trophy, but Buffon feels Pirlo and the Liga duo have done more to earn his vote than the Frenchman. "The Ballon d'Or? This is how I have voted: Pirlo first, Ronaldo second and Messi third," Buffon was quoted as saying by La giornalaccio rosa dello Sport. The 35-year-old then went on to discuss Juve's Champions League match against Copenhagen and stressed that the Serie A champions cannot afford to slip-up against the Danish outfit. http://markting10.nl/ "Any other result than a win will be a problem. We are convinced that we will do well. We are in great form at the moment and intend to keep that up. We are focused enough to get a good result,"he continued. "We desperately need the win ahead of the trip to Galatasaray. We can only think about Galatasaray after this week's game, though." Juventus currently sit fourth in Group B with three points from four games.
  4. Barzagli a doubt for CL Nov 25, 2013 Andrea Barzagli is a major doubt for Juventus’ crucial Champions League clash with Copenhagen on Wednesday. AMAZONIAN The defender missed the Bianconeri’s win over Livorno at the weekend after picking up a thigh strain in Italy’s draw with Germany. And giornalaccio rosa dello Sport have revealed this evening that the centre-back is likely to miss the game in Turin this week after failing to recover from the knock. AMAZONIAN Barzagli missed training today, but Angelo Ogbonna is expected to come in against the Danes.
  5. Buffon voted for golden Pirlo Nov 25, 2013 Gianluigi Buffon says he voted for Juventus and Italy teammate Andrea Pirlo in this year’s FIFA Golden Ball poll. http://markting10.nl/ Buffon, as captain of his national side, is entitled to vote and he placed the playmaker at the top of his personal podium. “I voted for, in order, Pirlo, Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid and Barcelona’s Lionel Messi,” the ‘keeper noted. Pirlo is currently one of 23 players in contention for the award. That shortlist will be reduced to three names on December 9 and the winner will be announced in January. http://markting10.nl/ Ballon d’Or 23: Gareth Bale (Wales), Edinson Cavani (Uruguay), Radamel Falcao (Colombia), Eden Hazard (Belgium), Zlatan Ibrahimović (Sweden), Andrés Iniesta (Spain), Philipp Lahm (Germany), Robert Lewandowski (Poland), Lionel Messi (Argentina), Thomas Müller (Germany), Manuel Neuer (Germany), Neymar (Brazil), Mesut Özil (Germany), Andrea Pirlo (Italy), Franck Ribéry (France), Arjen Robben (Netherlands), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Germany), Luis Suárez (Uruguay), Thiago Silva (Brazil), Yaya Touré (Côte d’Ivoire), Robin Van Persie (Netherlands), Xavi (Spain).
  6. LIVORNO 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (63′) Carlos Tévez (75′) November 24, 2013 - 3:00 PM Armando Picchi Stadium — Livorno Referee: Davide Massa Attendance:‬ 9500‎ Buffon on the Juventus defensive Nov 25, 2013 Gigi Buffon is celebrating Juventus’ newfound defensive strength after the 2-0 win at Livorno on Sunday. http://markting10.nl/ The Old Lady conceded 10 in their first eight League games of the campaign, but they have now kept a clean sheet in their last five. “After the sack load of goals we conceded in 15 minutes against Fiorentina [four], we needed these five games,” the Italian international noted. “We’ve been alert, cut down on individual errors and we’re expressing ourselves very well. It’s an excellent platform for us ahead of Wednesday’s return to Champions League action.” http://markting10.nl/ Buffon, himself, has been criticised at times this season, but he’s responded well to some of the negativity. “At my age you can’t allow yourself the luxury of slipping up,” continued the 35-year-old. “I feel stronger than I did when I was a youngster and when I’m focused it’s rare for me to get things wrong. http://markting10.nl/ “But I need to keep showing that, otherwise it’s probably best to call it a day.” Sunday was a special day for the No 1 given that he made his 500th appearance in the Italian top-flight – 332 of those for the Bianconeri. “It was the first building block and since then we’ve placed another 499 and 37 in Serie B,” he said when asked about his debut for Parma back in November 1995. http://markting10.nl/ “At that time I just thought about wanting to be a key player as well as showing the world that I was on the scene. I don’t know if I’m the best, but what I do know is that I always need to show it. “You need to be a little bit daft, along with having quality, the right mentality and the desire to live a steady life. http://markting10.nl/ “I was an adolescent when I started playing, I didn’t have much of a beard. “Now my beard’s thicker and features a few more white hairs, but I’ve kept a bit of that positive craziness that has helped me over the years.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  7. LIVORNO 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (63′) Carlos Tévez (75′) November 24, 2013 - 3:00 PM Armando Picchi Stadium — Livorno Referee: Davide Massa Attendance:‬ 9500‎ I might just play Vidal at centre-back - Conte The Chilean was deployed at the back due to the Biaconeri's injury problems, and his coach was thrilled with the way he performed in Sunday's 2-0 win. Nov 24, 2013 Antonio Conte praised makeshift centre-back Arturo Vidal as his Juventus side beat Livorno 2-0 at Stadio Armando Picchi to go top of Serie A. http://markting10.nl/ Despite suffering a crisis in defence with Leonardo Bonucci, Angelo Ogbonna, Stephan Liechsteiner and Andrea Barzagli all missing, Juve recorded a clean sheet against 15th-placed Livorno, with midfielder Vidal drafted into the back four alongside Martin Caceres. Though Conte admitted he was unhappy with a late lapse in concentration from Vidal, he suggested the Chilean could be a useful solution to the Bianconeri's current defensive problems while freeing up space in midfield. "He made me angry at the end with a slightly complacent move, but overall he did brilliantly. It might even be his best role. That'll solve my problem of having so many great midfielders, I'll just play Vidal at the back!" Conte joked to reporters after the match. http://markting10.nl/ Two second-half goals from summer additions Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez wrapped up the points for the Old Lady and Conte was pleased his side were able to continue their strong domestic form so soon after the international break. "The lads are doing something great, even if we are only in week 13," he continued. "I liked the performance today as, in this type of game after Real Madrid, Napoli and international duty, a tiny bit of arrogance or complacency can sneak in, but they resisted that." Juve will be hoping to replicate their domestic form in the Champions League on Wednesday when they face FC Copenhagen in a crucial clash at Juventus stadium. http://markting10.nl/ "It is in our hands and that is the most important thing. If we do well, then we'll go forward, but if we don’t then it means we’ll have to improve," Conte added. "The team wants to continue this Champions League experience and well do anything to achieve that." http://markting10.nl/ Conte had a message for Livorno captain Andrea Luci, who this week revealed his six-year-old son is suffering from a rare genetic disease. “I spoke with Andrea and told him all of us who are fathers know what it means. I already knew him well, as he played at Juventus in the youth team when I was there and I had wanted to take him to Arezzo. We are close to Andrea and hope for the best for him and his family.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  8. LIVORNO 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (63′) Carlos Tévez (75′) November 24, 2013 - 3:00 PM Armando Picchi Stadium — Livorno Referee: Davide Massa Attendance:‬ 9500‎ Player Ratings Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez continued their burgeoning partnership with a goal each in a hard-fought win on Sunday. Nov 24, 2013 LIVORNO Francesco Bardi - Could not help either goal, and had few saves to make otherwise. Federico Ceccherini - Communicated well with Rinaudo on occasion, as the defenders were spotted swapping play on more than one occasion to effectively shot out Juve's attack. Leandro Rinaudo - Marshaled Tevez excellently for long spells throughout the game, making sure that the dangerous Argentine striker barely got a kick on the ball. Andrea Coda - Solid in the first half but sub par in the second, as he lost out to Llorente in a few duels and looked unable to cope with the opposition attack in the buildup to both goals. Ibrahima Mbaye - Motored up and down the left flank for the home side, but was sometimes lost positionally, and forced to compensate with some late tackles, one of which led to his booking in the first half. Emerson - Helped to shield the backline with a great display of positioning and diligence, and was not irresponsible with the ball either. Andrea Luci - His deliveries from set pieces were disappointingly poor, given that they represented some of the best chances to get on the scoresheet for the hosts. Leandro Greco - Quietly effective in midfield, winning a number of tackles and proving assured on the ball, releasing Emeghara for a good chance in the first half. Pasquale Schiattarella - Never offered his side anything notable in the attacking third, as Chiellini was able to ruffle his feathers and keep him from getting the ball in dangerous areas. Innocent Emeghara - Though he worked hard off the ball to get on the end of things, he lacked composure, slicing a finish over the top when a goal looked like an easier outcome. Luca Siligardi - Virtually anonymous for the vast majority of the game as he rarely touched the ball in attack, and was little more than another body when covering at the back. http://markting10.nl/ Substitutions Cristiano Piccini - Had little time to add anything to the game. Giuseppe Gemiti - His side were well out of the game by the time he took the field, his impact was negligible. http://markting10.nl/ JUVENTUS Gianluigi Buffon - Solid in goal, covering his angles well and dealing with routine tasks in that exact manner. Martín Cáceres - Hardly put a foot wrong at the back, taking control of matters whenever the ball was delivered into his zone. Arturo Vidal - Drafted into the centre of defence on the night, but was completely in control, manhandling the Livorno attackers and dealing with whatever was thrown his way. Giorgio Chiellini - Defended stoutly on the left side of the back three, flattening a few Livorno players during the rare attacks by the visitors, and pushing up to the halfway line to nip counter attacks in the bud. Simone Padoin - Proved an effective option down the right flank, getting the better of Mbaye more than once, and delivering a few pinpoint crosses into the area. Good outlet to ease congestion centrally. Paul Pogba - The Frenchman continues to go from strength to strength, as he set up Llorente's all important goal with a great cross, and looked capable of creating danger throughout the second half. Andrea Pirlo - Came close with a few of his more ambitious passes, and was otherwise solid, if not spectacular, keeping play ticking efficiently. Claudio Marchisio - Provided a lot of energy in both halves of the field, defending well and spraying some effective passes forward, as well as adopting some dangerous positions. Kwadwo Asamoah - Energetic and involved on the left, pushing high up to support the attack with distinction, and constantly recovering his defensive position to help out the back three. Carlos Tévez - Frustrated for most of the game, but responded in style late on with a deft sidefooted finish that gave Juve breathing space and wrapped up the points. Fernando Llorente - After a physical game where he held the ball up very well, he came up with the goods by burying a great finish, sidefooting home on the volley from Pogba's cross. Set up Tevez's later clincher with another great piece of link up play. http://markting10.nl/ Substitutions Mirko Vučinić - Came on with less than 10 minutes to go and as a result, barely touched the ball. Fabio Quagliarella - Did not have much of an opportunity to strut his stuff. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  9. LIVORNO 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (63′) Carlos Tévez (75′) November 24, 2013 - 3:00 PM Armando Picchi Stadium — Livorno Referee: Davide Massa Attendance:‬ 9500‎ Initial reaction and random observations Nov 24, 2013 When you saw Livorno dropping nine or 10 guys behind the ball right from the get-go, there was the general gut feeling that Juventus would have to be patient in their attempts to break down their opponents on Sunday. There was plenty of possession, but not many chances. http://markting10.nl/ Then Kwadwo Asamoah made the run. Paul Pogba made the beautiful cross. Fernando Llorente volleyed it home. The patience had finally paid off and Juve were deservedly up 1-0, on their way to a fifth straight win in Serie A after the disaster against Fiorentina and yet another clean sheet. It's almost becoming routine at this point, huh? Maybe not that much, but this is the Juve of last year with a new twist, not the one of a few months back. http://markting10.nl/ For a long period of time, it wasn't a game that would have gotten you many style points. Were there moments of substance? Absolutely. As the second half went on, Juve's play resembled the way they went into the international break. They dominated possession, created plenty of scoring chances, and got the three points. JuventusFC ✔ @juventusfcen Llorente: We played well, especially in the second half when we created more clear-cut chances and scored two vital goals. Even with all the injuries and absences, no worries coming out of the international break. The train kept rolling. Now it's back to Turin with the Danes coming to town for a decisive Champions League encounter. http://markting10.nl/ Random thoughts and observations •It's hard not to root for Llorente considering everything he's been through the past year or so. And when he has games like he had against Livorno, it makes the slow integration into the Juventus squad even that much more worth it. It was just the goal great finish on Pogba's cross. His second half was as good or better than anybody else. His hold up play on Tevez's goal was superb. And the more he plays alongside Tevez, the more Llorente's understanding has developed. Once Llorente started to get consistent playing time, you wanted to see him take steps forward to show that Conte's decision to hold him back at the start of the season was the right choice. And guess what? Llorente's doing just that. http://markting10.nl/ •Arturo Vidal: Not a bad guy to have around when you need a makeshift central defender. •Was I worried about Juve's new-look defense? Maybe a little. But the way they played, they put any doubts to rest in a hurry. The back three of Caceres, Vidal and Chiellini didn't miss a beat. Depth is a great thing to have, and Antonio Conte has it all over the place on this squad. •The run from Asamoah was obviously the highlight of his day, but as a whole, he really gave Juve a presence out of the left wing. http://markting10.nl/ •Seven goals in 12 Serie A starts for Tevez. This has been your weekly Carlitos goal tally update. •Juventus' top scorers in Serie A last season, Vidal and Mirko Vucinic, had 10. The way Tevez is going right now, he could equal or pass that total by the winter break. •Speaking of goals, Simone Zaza and Domenico Berardi both scored for Sassuolo today. Well done, kids. http://markting10.nl/ •Livorno broke on a second-half counter after a Juve corner and did you notice who raced back and ended the attack before it became serious danger? Claudio Marchisio. Sure, he isn't up to his form of a couple of years ago, but it's those kinds of things that sometimes go unnoticed. •A clean sheet and hopping over Roma at the top of the table. If Gigi Buffon could have ordered up a way his 500th Serie A appearance would go, I'm pretty sure it would have looked a lot like the end result. OptaPaolo @OptaPaolo 500 - @gianluigibuffon played today his 500th Serie A game, keeping his 145th clean sheet in 332 top-flight appearances for Juventus. 10. LIVORNO 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (63′) Carlos Tévez (75′) November 24, 2013 - 3:00 PM Armando Picchi Stadium — Livorno Referee: Davide Massa Attendance:‬ 9500‎ A fifth consecutive victory for a depleted Juve side Nov 24, 2013 Two great goals from Juventus ensured Livorno were defeated 2-0 and left still searching for their first Serie A win against the Bianconeri in 71 years. Stamina and defensive solidity made it seem that the home side were capable of at least a point but the class of Juventus can never be dulled as the front two of Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez scored both goals to ensure a win and top place in the league, at least until Roma play on Monday. http://markting10.nl/ This was always going to be a tough test for Antonio Conte's men considering the many absences. Livorno are defined by the tenacity of their play and when a squad is both tired and depleted, the Amaranto are hardly the best opponents to face. It was made abundantly clear that Livorno planned on soaking up the pressure before countering with their pace and strength. In fact, the Amaranto's best goal scoring opportunities came after the Bianconeri's corners. They would intercept, get hold of the ball and dribble with pace to threaten Gigi Buffon's goal. The only problem is that their players often took too long to make a decision, to release the ball and to identify the correct pass. Despite playing with a make-shift defence, Juve's back-line were rarely tested due to the poor play of the Livorno forwards. http://markting10.nl/ However, defensively the Amaranto were a sight to behold and Davide Nicola's teachings were made clear for all to see. His solid defensive side displayed their stamina and strength and doubled up on their opponents to ensure Juventus struggled. The Bianconeri were simply incapable of penetrating and with so many Livorno players back and eager to snatch possession away, Conte's men needed to be quicker and play and with greater intensity if they hoped to overcome their enthusiastic opponents. However, on a tactical level it was interesting to see the movements of the Bianconeri. Paul Pogba regularly exploited any available space in midfield in the first half, whether on the right or left, drifting wherever he thought best. In turn, this also forced Claudio Marchisio to adopt different positions and the two would diagonally exchange roles during transitions, with Pogba attacking from the left at times and Marchisio defending close to Simone Padoin on the right during the defensive stage of the game. It's logical to assume that any side defined by its dynamic performance would tire in the second half. Whilst Livorno seemed more determined to push forward after the break, energy levels soon waned. It's difficult to keep up the kind of intensity the Tuscans managed in the first half and once the Old Lady struck her first, confidence levels dropped to further slow down the hosts. http://markting10.nl/ Juventus displayed their class and their superior technical levels in the second half. Their fluid movements and wonderful link-up play demonstrated exactly why they are still the team to beat in Serie A. Padoin did an exceptionally good job on the right, allowing his side to attempt most of their offensive penetration down that wing. His clever positioning and improved crossing created trouble for his opponents and his consistent running up and down the flank was pleasing to watch. However, in the few times the Old Lady opted to go forward via the left-hand side, they were rewarded by the quality of Kwadwo Asamoah, who proved much better at getting past his opponents and delivering the ball. His beautiful turn on the ball led to the accurate pass to Pogba -- the man who assisted Fernando Llorente's goal. Juventus broke the deadlock. http://markting10.nl/ Effective in both the defensive and offensive side of the game, the only sour note of Asamoah's display is the yellow card he picked up, which will rule him out of Juve's next Serie A clash against his old club Udinese. Yet we cannot mention the good efforts of the wing-backs without complimenting Llorente for a majestic performance up top. His wonderful vision, ability to hold the ball up and growing understanding with the teammates around him saw him dominate the game. Not only did he score the Bianconeri's first but he assisted the second too and the manner in which he was celebrated for his efforts by his teammates only goes to show how important he is for that dressing room. http://markting10.nl/ Their fifth consecutive victory, it's time to applaud the strength of this Juve side. They were heavily criticised earlier in the season for lethargic performances, whilst questions were asked of the side that may be forgiven for losing their motivation after so much domestic success. However, that defeat to Fiorentina lit the fire of passion within and they've been unstoppable ever since. Now they need to replicate their domestic form in Europe and manage a win against Copenhagen to demonstrate their ability to fight it out with the best in the continent. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  11. LIVORNO 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (63′) Carlos Tévez (75′) November 24, 2013 - 3:00 PM Armando Picchi Stadium — Livorno Referee: Davide Massa Attendance:‬ 9500‎ Second half strikes take Juventus to top of the table Nov 24, 2013 Juventus defeated Livorno 2-0 at the Stadio Armando Picchi on Sunday afternoon in Serie A. http://markting10.nl/ Second half goals from Fernando Llorente and strike partner Carlos Tevez were enough to give the Bianconeri victory over an Amaranti who put in a hardworking display against the reigning champions. The two sides had contested a fairly even first half, however, it was a match largely dominated by the visitors who always looked as though they would eventually make their superior quality secure victory. In fact it took 20 minutes before the crowd were presented with a shot on goal to reflect on, but despite an excellent delivery from Simone Padoin on the right Llorente failed to connect cleanly with his header and it looped over. http://markting10.nl/ With 15 minutes remaining of the opening period the Bianconeri finally started to trouble the Livorno goal. First Giorgio Chiellini had a strike from distance deflected wide and moments later Paul Pogba collected the ball on the edge of the box from Tevez but drove straight at Francesco Bardi who palmed over. On 39 minutes Ibrahima Mbaye nearly spoilt a disciplined first half performance from Davide Nicola’s side when he dived in two-footed on Padoin, but fortunately for the Juventus wing-back he escaped unscathed. More surprising though was that referee Davide Massa only chose to caution the Amaranti man. It was then Kwadwo Assamoah’s turn to commit an equally stupid, if not dangerous, foul on Leandro Greco, however, some distance from Gianluigi Buffon’s goal the resulting free-kick never troubled the veteran who was celebrating his 500th Serie A match. http://markting10.nl/ The second half began with the home side visibly lifted by the relaxed attitude of the Old Lady and began to press the visitors’ makeshift defence, missing Andrea Barzagli and Leandro Bonucci, but on several occasions their lack of quality in the final third became apparent in the absence of suspended striker Paulinho. Antonio Conte’s men finally made their quality count on 63 minutes as Llorente fired them into the lead, the ball making its way to Pogba on the right who curled in a precise cross for the Spaniard to volley brilliantly past Bardi. http://markting10.nl/ After the goal Livorno’s early belief seemed to disintegrate as the Bianconeri started to dominate the remainder of the match with Tevez twice going close to increasing their lead. The Argentinean eventually doubled their lead with 15 minutes remaining after excellent play from Llorente saw him hold off two Livorno defenders before laying the ball into the path of the former Manchester City striker who placed a right foot shot into the net. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  12. LIVORNO 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (63′) Carlos Tévez (75′) November 24, 2013 - 3:00 PM Armando Picchi Stadium — Livorno Referee: Davide Massa Attendance:‬ 9500‎ Juve top as Llorente sinks Livorno Fernando Llorente scored one and set up another for Carlos Tevez as Juventus conquered Livorno to temporarily go top. Nov 24, 2013 The Bianconeri could temporarily go top of the table with a win here, as they went into the weekend just one point behind leaders Roma. However, Arturo Vidal had to go in defence, as Leonardo Bonucci and Angelo Ogbonna sat out bans with Andrea Barzagli, Mauricio Isla, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Sebastian Giovinco and Simone Pepe injured. Livorno had top scorer Paulinho suspended, so Luca Siligardi partnered Innocent Emeghara. http://markting10.nl/ This was a very special occasion for Gianluigi Buffon, who marked his 500th Serie A appearance. Livorno ultras raised funds for research into a rare genetic disease, as this week captain Andrea Luci revealed his six-year-old son was diagnosed with Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva. Fernando Llorente’s looping header landed on the roof of the net from a Simone Padoin cross, then Giorgio Chiellini’s snapshot was deflected wide. Livorno burst forward on the counter from a Juve corner, but Emeghara’s pass for Siligardi was weak and easily intercepted. http://markting10.nl/ Moments later Francesco Bardi had to palm a Paul Pogba screamer out from under the bar, then the Inter-owned goalkeeper had his palms stung by a Kwadwo Asamoah solo effort. Leandro Greco was booked for simulation when going down in the box after Siligardi had run into a crowd of Bianconeri jerseys, then Juve had penalty appeals for a Ceccherini handling offence, though it was flicked on to his arm by Llorente’s back-heel from point-blank range. Makeshift defender Vidal intercepted a dangerous Emerson counter-attack, but Juventus did eventually find a way through. http://markting10.nl/ Pogba floated in a cross for Llorente, who got in front of his marker and volleyed in with the inside of his boot. It was a splendid finish from the Spaniard. Emerson’s long-range strike skimmed the top corner, but Juve doubled their advantage. Llorente held up the ball just inside the area for Tevez to smash a snooker shot into the near bottom corner. Coda almost scored an own goal, but was fortunate his diving header only hit the woodwork on Padoin’s cross. http://markting10.nl/ LIVORNO: Bardi; Coda, Rinaudo, Ceccherini; Schiattarella, Luci, Mbaye (Piccini 80), Emerson, Greco; Siligardi, Emeghara (Borja 72) JUVENTUS: Buffon; Caceres, Vidal, Chiellini; Padoin, Pogba, Pirlo, Marchisio, Asamoah (Peluso 87); Tevez (Quagliarella 80), Llorente (Vucinic 80) Ref: Massa http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  13. LIVORNO 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Fernando Llorente (63′) Carlos Tévez (75′) November 24, 2013 - 3:00 PM Armando Picchi Stadium — Livorno Referee: Davide Massa Attendance:‬ 9500‎ Llorente and Tevez seal comfortable win for champions The hosts held out until just past the hour mark when the Spaniard volleyed his side in front, before the ex-Athletic Bilbao man teed up his strike partner to settle matters. Nov 24, 2013 A goal each from Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez secured a comfortable 2-0 win for Juventus against Livorno on Sunday. http://markting10.nl/ The home side battled bravely for an hour until the Spanish striker volleyed home from Paul Pogba's cross, before teeing up Tevez to drill home a second with fifteen minutes left to play. The result sends defending champions Juventus to the summit for the time being, with unbeaten Roma not playing until Monday. Antonio Conte's men have now kept five consecutive clean sheets in the league and are two points ahead of Rudi Garcia's charges. http://markting10.nl/ Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal, who had to gain Fifa clearance to play after pulling out of both of his country's recent friendlies, stepped into a makeshift Juventus defence, with Stephan Lichtsteiner, Andrea Barzagli and striker Sebastian Giovinco all out injured, while Leonardo Bonucci and Angelo Ogbonna were suspended. Livorno made four changes to the side that lost 2-0 at Inter last time out, with Andrea Coda, Leandro Rinaudo, Leandro Greco and Innocent Emeghara coming in for Giuseppe Gemiti, Nahuel Valentini, Alfred Duncan and the suspended Paulinho. After a quiet opening 20 minutes, Llorente had the visitors' first clear-cut opportunity, heading over the crossbar from a Simone Padoin cross. http://markting10.nl/ Emeghara pulled the trigger from the edge of the penalty area at the other end five minutes later, but his effort was deflected high and wide for a corner. Paul Pogba forced Livorno goalkeeper Francesco Bardi to tip over his crossbar on the half-hour mark with a powerful drive from 20 yards, but Juve were struggling to find their flow against a disciplined home defence. And the hosts almost broke the deadlock three minutes later, but Emeghara's chipped attempt drifted wide of the target amid suspicions of offside. http://markting10.nl/ Kwadwo Asamoah fancied his chances from distance, but the Ghanaian saw his effort pushed around the post by Bardi eight minutes before the interval. Greco went into the referee's book after 53 minutes for simulation in the penalty area after a collision with Vidal, but replays suggested it was a harsh decision. Juve went ahead in the 63rd minute as Llorente met a Pogba cross from the right to send a right-footed volley into the top right-hand corner of the net from the centre of the penalty area. http://markting10.nl/ Tevez drilled just wide of the left-hand post as the visitors went in search of a second, but Livorno were holding firm as they clung onto the belief that they could still take something from the encounter. However, Tevez killed off any lingering hopes that remained for the hosts as he fired home a low effort from 16 yards after good work in the area by Llorente, before Pogba struck the post in the dying minutes as Juve finished strongly. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
