Vidal & Pobga to sign deals soon? Oct 21, 2013 Reports in the Italian Press suggest that Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal could be on the verge of signing new Juventus deals. http://markting10.nl/ Renowned journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola will meet with the Bianconeri hierarchy within seven days to sit down and discuss an extension. The news comes in the wake of comments made by President Andrea Agnelli, who admitted that the club would not be able to turn down a big offer for the France international. http://markting10.nl/ Vidal meanwhile is also close to renewal, and is set to earn €4m per season.

Prandelli on Buffon Oct 21, 2013 Cesare Prandelli has called Gianluigi Buffon ‘the best in the world’, despite some criticising the Juventus goalkeeper. http://markting10.nl/ The veteran Bianconeri man was called up by some sceptics on Sunday after he was at fault for one of Fiorentina’s goal in their 4-2 win. But the Coach has called the shot-stopper the best in the business. http://markting10.nl/ “Buffon is the best in the world,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “He will be our goalkeeper at the World Cup.

Tacconi stands up for Buffon Oct 21, 2013 Juventus and Italy are still in safe hands with Gigi Buffon, says former goalkeeper Stefano Tacconi. http://markting10.nl/ Buffon has had some shaky moments so far this season and questions have been asked of the second goal he conceded in the 4-2 loss at Fiorentina on Sunday. “These kind of moments can happen,” the ex-Juve and Italy custodian told TMW on Monday afternoon. “You just have to know how to get out of them. “I hope that Gigi accepts that he too can make a mistake and that he doesn’t feel as if he is invincible. He just has to think about playing. http://markting10.nl/ “A goalkeeping problem for Cesare Prandelli as well? I don’t think so. What is more important is the organisation of a team. The goalkeeper is a minor issue.” Asked about Juventus’ collapse in Florence on Sunday, where they lost after going 2-0 up, Tacconi said: “They thought they had already won the game. “At the start of the second half it was clear that they believed Fiorentina were dead. But that can’t happen in Florence.”

Moggi recalls missing Ronaldo Oct 21, 2013 This week’s Real Madrid-Juventus tie has again allowed Luciano Moggi to retell how he almost signed Cristiano Ronaldo for the Old Lady. http://markting10.nl/ “We agreed a swap deal with Sporting Lisbon between Marcelo Salas and Cristiano Ronaldo,” Moggi commented on Sphere Sports this week. “Salas travelled to Portugal, but backed out and went to River Plate instead. “At that moment, Manchester United came in and put an offer on the table that we did not have – a situation that forced us to end our interest.” http://markting10.nl/ Moggi was Juventus’ director general for over a decade before he resigned in the summer of 2006 following the Calciopoli revelations. Ronaldo, who will face the Bianconeri in the Champions League on Wednesday, joined United in 2003. He was sold six years later to the Spaniards for around €94m.

Marotta defends beaten Juventus Oct 21, 2013 Juventus director general Beppe Marotta has defended boss Antonio Conte, Gigi Buffon and the rest of the side following the loss at Fiorentina. http://markting10.nl/ The Old Lady looked like they were on the way to three more points before they threw away a 2-0 lead in the 4-2 Tuscan loss on Sunday. “We are aware that everything is still up for grabs and we should not put the Coach – Antonio Conte is doing a great job and is a winner – or the team on trial,” he said at the Premio Fair Play Calcio e Tv. “You can’t offer any excuses really because the game against Fiorentina was illogical. It is difficult to explain. http://markting10.nl/ “It is a moment of blurring. I wouldn’t talk of a crisis, but psychological tiredness. There was no tactical reason for the loss, we have to improve mentally. “We knew it was going to be a difficult year because of the games we have to play and the value of the opponents.” Some have pointed the finger of blame towards Buffon for the second Giuseppe Rossi goal which he conceded at the Franchi. http://markting10.nl/ “Buffon is a champion, the captain and a leader,” the former Sampdoria official added. “We are used to him doing some extraordinary things. “When he limits himself to the ordinary, when he doesn’t stop everything, there is excessive criticism. “Buffon was and remains the best. Right now we are conceding goals which expose him to criticism, but criticism should be made with respect.” http://markting10.nl/ Juventus will next be in action on Wednesday at Real Madrid, a crucial match given that they have drawn their opening two Champions League games. “We are confident of going to the Bernabeu to play our game. It’s an important tie, there are points up for grabs to be conquered with gritted teeth, but we can reach our objective. “The match at the Bernabeu will be against one of the strongest teams, who we face with respect and with the knowledge that we can have a leading role in the encounter.”

REAL MADRID - JUVENTUS October 23, 2013 8:45 PM Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Madrid Referee: Manuel Gräfe (Germany) Morata: I won't start against Juventus The 20-year-old was in the first XI against Malaga on Saturday, but he does not feel he has done enough to show he merits a place on Wednesday. Oct 21, 2013 EXCLUSIVE By Alberto Pinero Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata does not believe he will start against Juventus in the Champions League despite playing against Malaga. http://markting10.nl/ The 20-year-old led the line in Saturday's 2-0 victory over the Andalusian outfit, with world-record signing Gareth Bale on the bench and France attacker Karim Benzema left out of the squad completely. However, Morata believes he is likely to be watching from the sidelines against the Serie A champions. "I don't see myself starting against Juventus. I see myself as just one of the team like everyone else," he told Goal. "I'm ready to play when Ancelotti needs me. I hope that we can do well in the Champions League game." http://markting10.nl/ Having made his first-team debut for los Blancos back in 2011, Morata enjoyed what was a rare start in the Madrid line-up at the weekend following impressive appearances off the bench this season. And despite not scoring the youngster was pleased with his display and hopes that the performance will keep him in Carlo Ancelotti's thoughts with the Clasico to come this Saturday. http://markting10.nl/ "Whenever a striker goes home without scoring a goal, it doesn't mean that he did no work at all," Morata continued. "It was a great game against Malaga. We even deserved to have scored one more goal. "They are two great games. We are ready and eager to thrive."

REAL MADRID - JUVENTUS October 23, 2013 8:45 PM Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Madrid Referee: Manuel Gräfe (Germany) Juve have great players, says Pepe Oct 21, 2013 Real Madrid defender Pepe is showing Juventus respect ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League meeting. http://markting10.nl/ Real will host the Bianconeri this week as they look for their third win from three European Cup games this season. “Juventus are one of Europe’s and Italy’s big teams,” he told the Bwin website. “The match could go either way because we are two great teams. “They have two Champions League titles and great footballers. http://markting10.nl/ “We have to respect all of their players. They have key ones like Gigi Buffon and Andrea Pirlo, but I think the most important thing about them is the team as a whole.” When asked which player he would take out of the Juve side if such an opportunity existed, the Portuguese international refused to answer. “They are all very good players, but I don’t think that taking any of them out of the team is good because people like to see that all of the players are at a high level. http://markting10.nl/ “Juve have a lot of them and that is good for the show,” continued the former Porto man. “So that is why I wouldn’t choose anyone.” Juventus have drawn both of their Champions League games this season – against FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray.

Buffon’s recipe for success… Oct 21, 2013 Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon has underlined that spending big is not a guarantee for success on the field of play. http://markting10.nl/ Speaking to AS ahead of this week’s Champions League game at Real Madrid – who spent €100m on Gareth Bale this summer – the veteran said there are many elements to lifting silverware. “Spending and having lots of money does not mean that by force you can win,” the 35-year-old commented. “Therefore, projects are needed, patience, work, balance. Of course, having so much money is a good base in which to start, but that alone is not enough.” http://markting10.nl/ He added: “In the last seven or eight years, Barcelona have surpassed all European clubs in terms of popularity and prestige. “That is because, ultimately, the real difference and value in a club is shown in winning and Barcelona in recent years have won much. “It is the same as with the legend of Madrid, from the 1950s when they won many European Cups.” http://markting10.nl/ Buffon was also asked to comment on the Iker Casillas situation at Real, the Spanish international ‘keeper who is struggling for games. “I can say that it is very unusual to see a goalkeeper like Casillas on the bench,” the Italian noted. “I do not know what happened last year or this year. I have just seen the line-ups. “But I think that last year it was not just a technical issue, but relating to other things. I think it was a relationship problem. http://markting10.nl/ “I really admire Iker. For me, during the moment that I still feel a strong goalkeeper and among the best, it would be hard to accept certain situations. However, he has this merit and I respect that more. “But in the midst of this discourse we must also have respect for Diego Lopez, who in the end, apart from what he is doing this year, has always been an excellent goalkeeper. “Iker has always proven to be a great champion and I think that great champions come out of these negative situations by nature.”

Barzagli on the defensive Oct 21, 2013 Centre-back Andrea Barzagli has no answers as to why his Juventus side are now leaking goals with regularity. http://markting10.nl/ The Old Lady have conceded 10 times in eight League games so far after letting in just 24 over the course of 38 matches in Serie A last term. “Unfortunately we’re paying the price this year,” the former Palermo stopper told Sky Sport Italia. “It’s not as if we’re allowing our opponents more shots on goal when compared to last season – but we’re always being punished.” http://markting10.nl/ Antonio Conte’s side amazingly shipped in four goals in a 15-minute period at Fiorentina on Sunday, as they threw away a two-goal lead at the Franchi. “I honestly don’t know how to explain what happened,” Barzagli continued. “There weren’t even signs of a potential Fiorentina comeback. “We dominated the game, going close to scoring a third goal and, before we know it, we find ourselves 3-2 down…”

Buffon: Casillas is a great champion The Juventus goalkeeper has hailed his Real Madrid colleague's professional attitude and is confident he will bounce back. Oct 21, 2013 Juventus shot-stopper Gianluigi Buffon has taken the time to praise Iker Casillas and feels the Real Madrid goalkeeper remains one of the best player in the world in his position. http://markting10.nl/ The Spain international lost his place as Madrid's number one to Diego Lopez under Jose Mourinho last season and has thus far been unable to displace the former Villarreal stopper under new coach Carlo Ancelotti. Buffon is surprised to see Casillas occupying a place among the substitutes, but believes his reaction to losing his spot in the team is great testament to his character and is confident the 32-year-old will bounce back. http://markting10.nl/ "I really admire Iker for who he is. He is still a strong goalkeeper and among the best out there. It is very hard to accept certain situations, but he does just that and I respect that," Buffon was quoted as saying by AS. "Iker has always been a great champion and great champions always find a way out of negative situations like this. When something like this happens, you draw strength from it. "I do not know what happened to him last season. I only saw the line-ups. But I think that last term was not just a sporting decision. It had to do with his relationship [with Jose Mourinho]. http://markting10.nl/ "I don't know what the problem is now, but I can say that it's very unusual to see a goalkeeper like Iker on the bench. Iker has only become a better man to me for his reaction." Casillas has made just two official appearances for Madrid so far this term but could feature in the Blancos' clash with Juve in the Champions League on Wednesday.

FIORENTINA 4 - 2 JUVENTUS Carlos Tévez (PG - 37') Paul Pogba (40′) Giuseppe Rossi (PG - 66′) Giuseppe Rossi (76') Joaquín (78') Giuseppe Rossi (81') October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Attendance: 26000 Barzagli speechless over Fiorentina fightback The Italy international was shocked by his side's sudden collapse in the second half and feels Juventus have been lacking a bit of focus. Oct 21, 2013 Andrea Barzagli has voiced his frustration with Juventus' 4-2 Serie A defeat at the hands of Fiorentina on Sunday and was unable to explain what went wrong for the reigning champions as they threw away a two-goal lead after the break. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri appeared to be on their way to the full three points after goals from Carlos Tevez and Paul Pogba, but eventually left the Stadio Artemio Franchi empty-handed after a hat-trick from Giuseppe Rossi and a Joaquin strike. "I honestly don’t know how to explain what just happened," the defender told Sky Sport Italia. "We dominated the game, coming close to scoring a third goal, but before we knew it we found ourselves 3-2 down. There weren’t even signs of a potential Fiorentina comeback. http://markting10.nl/ "Unfortunately we’re paying the price this year. It’s not as if we’re allowing our opponents more shots on goal compared to last season, but we’re always punished. "We’re 99 per cent focused, but clearly this isn’t enough." Juventus will be looking to return to winning ways in Wednesday's Champions League match away against Real Madrid. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

FIORENTINA 4 - 2 JUVENTUS Carlos Tévez (PG - 37') Paul Pogba (40′) Giuseppe Rossi (PG - 66′) Giuseppe Rossi (76') Joaquín (78') Giuseppe Rossi (81') October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Attendance: 26000 Conte bemused by Juventus capitulation The Bianconeri coach bemoaned "10 nightmare minutes" that saw his side surrender a comfortable advantage in Florence and condemn them to their first league defeat of the season. Oct 21, 2013 Juventus coach Antonio Conte was left stunned by his team's self-destruction as they let a two-goal lead slip to lose 4-2 at Fiorentina. http://markting10.nl/ The Serie A champions went into Sunday's match unbeaten against the Viola at Stadio Artemio Franchi since 1998, and that run looked like it would continue as they went into half-time two goals up through Carlos Tevez and Paul Pogba. But it was a completely different story after the break, with Giuseppe Rossi grabbing a hat-trick and Juve coach Conte was at a loss to explain the defeat. "I think the game was practically closed. We were in control in every way, even in the second half and had some more great chances to add to our tally," he told Sky Sport Italia. http://markting10.nl/ "Then something strange and unthinkable happened. We lost a match that we had been dominating. How do we explain it? "In 10 minutes we destroyed all the hard work, both during and before the game. We managed to allow Fiorentina back into it and concede odd goals. "This is football. We have to take these 10 nightmare minutes and learn from them. I continue to say this year will be very, very difficult. http://markting10.nl/ "In these 10 minutes we did everything to help Fiorentina get back into the match, more than they had been at any stage. There are huge regrets. "We struggled more last season and got a draw, whereas this time until the 70th minute it was all Juventus. This is football, nothing can be taken for granted." With a Champions League tie against Real Madrid coming up on Wednesday, it had been suggested that Conte's men had let their concentration wander, but the 44-year-old did not feel that this was the case. http://markting10.nl/ "This was an important game in a fiery atmosphere, so we could not be distracted by Real Madrid," Conte said. "We were in the match from the start and only went wrong in those 10 minutes. "It has happened a few times this season that we’ve conceded chaotic goals. We have to work on it. That is all." http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

FIORENTINA 4 - 2 JUVENTUS Carlos Tévez (PG - 37') Paul Pogba (40′) Giuseppe Rossi (PG - 66′) Giuseppe Rossi (76') Joaquín (78') Giuseppe Rossi (81') October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Attendance: 26000 Rossi: 'Incredible comeback!' Giuseppe Rossi praised his Fiorentina teammates for an “incredible performance” to beat Juventus 4-2. Oct 20, 2013 The Viola were trailing 2-0 up until the 66th minute, then Rossi got a hat-trick around a Joaquin strike to turn it all around for their first home win over Juve in 15 years. http://markting10.nl/ “They are three very important goals, but the team had an incredible performance in the second half,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “We reacted so well, we all wanted to fight back and it is down to everyone that we achieved it.” http://markting10.nl/ What could Coach Vincenzo Montella have said at half-time to prompt this fightback? “Montella told us to give more, as we got a bit scared after the first goal. We listened to him and did what the Coach wanted. We’re so happy. “Of course this team is built to win. There is great talent on the pitch and in the stands, so we know after this performance that we can challenge anyone.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

FIORENTINA 4 - 2 JUVENTUS Carlos Tévez (PG - 37') Paul Pogba (40′) Giuseppe Rossi (PG - 66′) Giuseppe Rossi (76') Joaquín (78') Giuseppe Rossi (81') October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Attendance: 26000 Montella: 'Most enjoyable win' Vincenzo Montella admits Fiorentina-Juventus was a special victory and he “considered replacing” hat-trick hero Giuseppe Rossi. Oct 20, 2013 “It is certainly among my most enjoyable victories. In the first half it was balanced and Juve made the most of our errors, especially on the second goal,” he told Sky Sport Italia after a 4-2 win. http://markting10.nl/ “Juventus didn’t allow us spaces through the middle after the break and stopped us raising the tempo. We looked unable to score, but football is marvellous and the penalty changed the inertia of the game. “We achieved this despite going 2-0 down, despite losing Massimo Ambrosini, despite Rossi having a back problem. “It’s tough to score four goals against Juventus, especially with Antonio Conte in charge, and extraordinarily wonderful to do it in 15 minutes. http://markting10.nl/ “I thank the fans, who behaved impeccably and perhaps at times believed in this result more than we did. I am glad to note there was no crowd trouble either, despite the concerns and rivalry.” Rossi was the hero with a hat-trick, but Montella confesses it wasn’t a good start for Pepito. http://markting10.nl/ “Rossi didn’t have a great game in the first half, but in football quality makes the difference. I considered replacing him, but he’s a player who can change a game even when he’s not well. “He works for the team and is not egotistical. He scored extraordinary goals and gave us the strength to win this match.” http://markting10.nl/ This is Fiorentina’s first home win over Juventus for 15 years, since Gabriel Batistuta sealed a 1-0 result in 1998. “Pressure is part of football. If we had lost today, some would’ve said our season was over, whereas with a win suddenly we’re considered title contenders. We need to keep a balanced and objective view, then wait and see in the long run what the table tells us.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

FIORENTINA 4 - 2 JUVENTUS Carlos Tévez (PG - 37') Paul Pogba (40′) Giuseppe Rossi (PG - 66′) Giuseppe Rossi (76') Joaquín (78') Giuseppe Rossi (81') October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Attendance: 26000 Player Ratings Goal rates every player as a Giuseppe Rossi hat-trick inspires the Viola to a first home league win against the Bianconeri in 15 years. Oct 20, 2013 FIORENTINA Neto - A lapse in communication with Cuadrado gifted Juventus a second goal but aside from that, he commanded his area effectively, making several smart saves. Gonzalo Rodríguez - The Argentine tripped international compatriot Tevez in the box, allowing Juventus to take a lead which they perhaps did not deserve. Facundo Roncaglia - The rugged centre-half contained the threat of Llorente excellently and his quick pressing helped Fiorentina to win the ball back quickly. Stefan Savic - The Montenegrin was a threat from set pieces and despite the odd mistake, he dealt well with Tevez's movement. Manuel Pasqual - Although he added little to the attack, his good positioning and willingness to get back ensured Juventus had little joy down the right. David Pizarro - The Chilean's experience helped Fiorentina to win the ball back in the second half and he kept things simple in the midfield with his accurate passing. Alberto Aquilani - He struggled to make an impact against his former club and it was only after he was replaced that the Viola started to look more threatening. Borja Valero Iglesias - Provided Fiorentina's best chances of scoring with a brilliant creative display and assisted Joaquin's goal. Hardly ever surrendered possession. Massimo Ambrosini - The veteran midfielder gave solid protection to the Viola defence and his absence was sorely felt when he was substituted early on, as Juventus began to take control. Juan Guillermo Cuadrado - His bizarre clearance gifted the ball to Pogba who made it 2-0 in the first half. He redeemed himself in the second, however, with his direct dribbling and quick footwork, epitomised in his assist for Rossi's third. Giuseppe Rossi - After being quiet for 65 minutes, the diminuitive forward sprung to life and inspired the Viola's comeback with a superb hat-trick to take him up to eight goals in eight Serie A matches. http://markting10.nl/ Substitutions M. Fernández - Began the Viola's comeback when be was tripped for the penalty and he also supplied the pass for Rossi's second. Joaquín - Added inspiration to the Fiorentina attack and scored the crucial third goal to complete the turnaround. Ryder Matos - Came on as a late substitute and made an impression with his eagerness to run at the defence. http://markting10.nl/ JUVENTUS Gianluigi Buffon - The Juventus keeper was hardly tested in the first hour and he will not want to see the replays as he allowed Rossi's shot to squirm into the far corner to make it 2-2. Andrea Barzagli - Struggled to cope with Rossi's movement and was found flat-footed on more than one occasion. Leonardo Bonucci - Dealt well with Rossi during the first half, producing several crucial challenges and blocks, but looked uncertain after Joaquin's introduction. Giorgio Chiellini - Whilst he was solid in the air, the hardman turned in an uncharacteristic display as his willingness to get forward allowed Juventus to be exposed on the counterattack. Simone Padoin - Offered little going forward and found it difficult to mark Cuadrado when the Colombian drifted out to the left. Paul Pogba - Capped his return to the side with a goal and his all-round display was crucial to helping Juventus dominate the midfield battle for the majority of the game. Andrea Pirlo - Despite the poor quality of his set-pieces, Pirlo helped to spring Juventus attacks from deep with his clinical range of passing. Claudio Marchisio - Was determined to get forward at every opportunity and was denied by Neto on several occasions. Kwadwo Asamoah - The Ghanaian got into some brilliant attacking positions and put in a solid shift down the left. However, it was somewhat marred by his mis-timed tackle on Fernandez which gave the Viola a penalty. Carlos Tévez - The Argentine's clever movement won a penalty which he converted to open the scoring. However, he was provided with little service during the second half. Fernando Llorente - His strong hold-up play helped to bring his team-mates into the game and although he had few chances in front of goal, he was determined to get back to help out defensively. http://markting10.nl/ Substitutions Marco Motta - Came on as a late substitute, only to be booked for a nasty challenge on Pasqual. Arturo Vidal - Was put on the bench as a punishment for missing his flight back from international duty but could not help Juventus to prevent Fiorentina's outstanding comeback. Sebastian Giovinco - He was introduced in the hope of being a super-sub but he struggled to make an impact. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

FIORENTINA 4 - 2 JUVENTUS Carlos Tévez (PG - 37') Paul Pogba (40′) Giuseppe Rossi (PG - 66′) Giuseppe Rossi (76') Joaquín (78') Giuseppe Rossi (81') October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Attendance: 26000 A psychological breakdown results in a Fiorentina comeback Oct 20, 2013 An unbelievable match. An unpredictable result. For the first time in 15 years, Fiorentina won a home match against Juventus. For the first time in his coaching career, Vincenzo Montella defeated an Antonio Conte led side. For the first time ever, Conte's Juve conceded four goals in a game to lose 4-2 away against the Viola. http://markting10.nl/ Juventus are wounded. Never have a side famed for their mental fortitude and ability to close out games collapse so tragically during a match. After going 2-0 up in the first half, the Bianconeri did well to penetrate effectively and get past Fiorentina's pressing game to score twice. However, so capable of individual errors this season, Juventus fell apart after Gianluigi Buffon's mistake and lost their ability to stand firm and defend. It's now ten goals conceded in eight games for a team that only let in 20 goals in their first season under Conte. Looking back at the first half, Fiorentina may have out passed Juve as they continued to rotate the ball, but they lacked a plan B in attack. Aware that they only had Giuseppe Rossi up top, their play had to be patient and focused around through-balls and intricate play. http://markting10.nl/ Pressing high up the pitch, the plan was to disturb Juve's rhythm as well as win the ball back in advanced positions in order to facilitate their journey to goal. However, Juve's defence stood firm whilst the Viola's movement seemed utterly blunt. With the midfield congested and both defences looking solid, the only way either side was going to score was if there was an individual error, or from a dead ball situation. That error came as a silly challenge on Carlos Tevez resulted in a penalty for the Old Lady that was converted by the Argentine. Juventus were 1-0 up and happy. The second goal came only three minutes later, when Paul Pogba exploited a defensive mistake to score and lift the away crowd. Montella's men were well on their way to yet another loss at home to Juve. The second half started in much the same way. The Old Lady was in control whilst the Viola struggled to really create any threatening chances. There were opportunities for the Bianconeri to add to their tally, whether it was from an Andrea Pirlo freekick or Claudio Marchisio's timely runs forward. Norberto Neto was working hard to keep his team in the game as he pulled off some good saves. http://markting10.nl/ Meanwhile, Fiorentina needed a change and it came when Montella opted to take off Alberto Aquilani and bring on Joaquin to allow for more attacking play. A challenge from Kwadwo Asamoah resulted in a penalty for the home side and Rossi scored to make it 1-2 for Fiorentina. Juventus held on. They continued to seek their own chances and a determined Giorgio Chiellini went close to scoring from a header. The Viola were struggling to be consistent with their forward thrusts until Rossi took a shot that beat Buffon for the equaliser. Once again, it's that easy for this Juventus side to concede. Another individual error, by the captain on this occasion, gifted Fiorentina the leveller and the Stadio Artemio Franchi was rocking. http://markting10.nl/ The Old Lady immediately fell apart and lost all ability to defend with discipline and intelligence. Asamoah in particular had a torrid time, while the entire defence were being shifted around. With Joaquin completely unmarked, the home side netted another to stun the Bianconeri. Three goals in 12 minutes. Conte's men simply could not handle the pace of their opponents and defensive organisation went out the door. You can blame individuals and some may even blame the coach but this was down to a pure psychological breakdown. The team that thought this would be an easy win after Fiorentina's early bluntness lost their focus, adopted a nonchalant attitude and then surrendered to panic and madness to gift the Tuscans the win they have dreamed of for 15 years. http://markting10.nl/ Up until the madness, Juve had defended well. What they cannot fight off effectively this season is that tendency to surrender to complacency. Conte has said it dozens of times: it's difficult to win three titles in a row and especially difficult considering the level of competition this season. This defeat had to come. This defeat may well be a blessing in disguise. Such psychological breakdowns can never be tolerated for a club that practically walked to the league title last season. The mental fortitude must return, the hunger has to be keenly felt and there needs to be more of a fight to maintain accuracy and solidity. Roma demonstrated the impact a healthy mind can have on a result and it's up to the Bianconeri now to show they want to win and will do everything to do so. Glory is there for the taking. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

FIORENTINA 4 - 2 JUVENTUS Carlos Tévez (PG - 37') Paul Pogba (40′) Giuseppe Rossi (PG - 66′) Giuseppe Rossi (76') Joaquín (78') Giuseppe Rossi (81') October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Attendance: 26000 Initial reaction and random observations Oct 20, 2013 It started with a thoroughly deserved two-goal lead in the first half of an important game on the road. The ball started rolling with the inability to stretch a 2-0 halftime lead into anything more than that. It continued when Giuseppe Rossi converted from the penalty spot to cut Juventus' lead in half. And then, in what seemed like in a blink of an eye, it turned into an absolute shit show. http://markting10.nl/ A game that was looking so good turned into something horror movies are based off of in a 15-minute span. No, really. Fiorentina scored all four of their goals between the 65th and 80th minutes. Juventus not only got hit on the counter by Fiorentina, they got hit in the face like in a heavyweight fight and had nothing to answer it. They were shocked, and it was their own doing. We can credit the effort Fiorentina all we want, but this isn't about that. This is about what's wrong with Juventus, what looked to be fixed for 60-plus minutes and then suddenly decided to suck us into some kind of sick joke. They didn't put Fiorentina away. They let them hang around and Fiorentina took full advantage of it. For whatever reason, they went from essentially killing off Fiorentina in the first half to getting killed themselves in the span of 15 or 20 minutes. http://markting10.nl/ If Juventus score a third on one of their very good chances early in the second half, the game could very well have beenover and done with. they're heading back to Turin riding high with three points in their pockets and we're singing their praises rather than throwing things through the window. Oh what could have been. I just don't get it. The Juventus defense looked so good for 60-plus minutes. It was like they were on cruise control. The stupid mistakes that had haunted Juve for so many games before the international break were gone. Everything was looking great. Viola fans were essentially conceding the game. http://markting10.nl/ Then all that happened. Juventus were up 2-0 in the 65th minute. I don't know what else to say. http://markting10.nl/ Random thoughts and observations •Remember when Juventus were up 2-0 and the defense was playing great? •When your team goes down two goals, the answer to all your problems is to throw Marco Motta onto the field. That should do it, right? Amazing, absolutely amazing. •Leonardo Bonucci screwed up on the game-tying goal, sure, but so did Gigi Buffon. Not exactly a straight shot right at him, but how many times do we see him save that, 99 out of 100? Turns out the one time he didn't, it opened the floodgates. http://markting10.nl/ •Remember when I said Juventus had to contain Rossi to be successful? Yeah, about that... •I've already seen a lot of "This is the wakeup call Juventus needs" posts on this here internet. Do I think it can help? Sure, I'm an optimistic guy. But we also thought the international break would help Antonio Conte figure out some things and look how that turned out. The best thing to happen is that there's a game in three days on one of the biggest stages there is. Flush it and get ready for Real Madrid. And stop making stupid defensive mistakes. That'd be nice. http://markting10.nl/ •Fernando Llorente had a pretty solid game until everything went to hell. There's something positive. •Before we write off the entire season, let's remember one thing: It's Oct. 20 and Juve still have 30 games left in Serie A. There's a pretty favorable schedule coming post-Real Madrid. Not sayin', but I guess I'm just sayin'. •Juventus were up 2-0 in the 65th minute. I still don't get it. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

FIORENTINA 4 - 2 JUVENTUS Carlos Tévez (PG - 37') Paul Pogba (40′) Giuseppe Rossi (PG - 66′) Giuseppe Rossi (76') Joaquín (78') Giuseppe Rossi (81') October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Attendance: 26000 Rossi hat-trick completes incredible Viola comeback Oct 20, 2013 Fiorentina scored four unanswered goals as they defeated Juventus 4-2 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Serie A action on Sunday afternoon. http://markting10.nl/ Carlos Tevez converted via a penalty, while Paul Pogba also got on the score sheet. Giuseppe Rossi earned a hat-trick, while Joaquin added another to help the hosts come back from 2-0 down at halftime to claim all three points. The Viola came close with their first real opportunity of the game, with Facundo Roncaglia just missing the net with a long range shot via a David Pizarro assist. Despite the injury worries for Rossi, it was Massimo Ambrosini who had to exit early, with Matias Fernandez replacing the experienced midfielder. http://markting10.nl/ Finally a breakthrough arrived in the 37th minute. Gonzalo Rodriguez was adjudged to have brought down Tevez in the box, resulting in a penalty for the Bianconeri. The Argentine converted calmly from the spot, powering it past Neto in the centre of the net. Just four minutes later, Juve doubled their lead. On a long ball, Juan Cuadrado decided to intercept the play by making a sliding tackle. At the same time, Neto decided to come off his line. The Colombian sliced it, leaving Pogba with an empty goal to shoot at and allowing the Bianconeri to double their lead. Off the restart, Juventus had a solid chance to make it 3-0 through Claudio Marchisio. He was in on goal, but Neto came out to close down the angle of the shot. http://markting10.nl/ The Viola goalkeeper continued to get bombarded at the start of the second half. Andrea Pirlo’s free kick tested the Brazilian, but he was able to parry the ball over the bar. The hosts eventually caught a break when Kwadwo Asamoah hauled down Fernandez in the 66th minute, giving Fiorentina a penalty and a chance to get back into the game. Rossi finished, cutting the lead in half. Rossi earned his second just moments later with a shot outside the box. Buffon couldn’t locate it, and it slipped past him to make it 2-2 and send the home fans into a frenzy. http://markting10.nl/ Suddenly, it was 3-2 only minutes later after Joaquin was picked out by Borja Valero all alone on the right side of the box. The substitute slotted it past the goalkeeper and onlooking defenders to give Fiorentina an unimaginable lead. Then, the result was confirmed in the 81st minute when Rossi completed his hat-trick, scoring his eighth goal in as many matches off a counter attack. Cuadrado picked out the Italian, who then finished with composure past Buffon to make it for 4-2 for the Gigliati. Fiorentina managed to hold on to win their first match against the Old Lady at home in 15 years and send Juve crashing to their first defeat of the season. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

FIORENTINA 4 - 2 JUVENTUS Carlos Tévez (PG - 37') Paul Pogba (40′) Giuseppe Rossi (PG - 66′) Giuseppe Rossi (76') Joaquín (78') Giuseppe Rossi (81') October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Attendance: 26000 Incredible Viola comeback sinks Juve Fiorentina completed an incredible comeback from 2-0 down to win 4-2 in 15 minutes with Giuseppe Rossi’s hat-trick. Oct 20, 2013 This has always been a fiery grudge match that has occasionally spilled out on to the transfer market. Mario Gomez, Ante Rebic and Josip Ilicic missed out for the hosts, while Mirko Vucinic, Fabio Quagliarella and Stephan Lichtsteiner didn’t make the trip. Arturo Vidal was benched as punishment for turning up late from international duty. http://markting10.nl/ Juve were unbeaten in Florence for the last 15 years, managing seven draws and four victories since Gabriel Batistuta sealed a 1-0 in December 1998. There was a spectacular choreography in the stands before kick-off as the Stadio Franchi turned purple. It was a predictably tense opening, as Carlos Tevez was booked before aiming a weak effort straight at Neto, then Gigi Buffon flapped a dangerous cross off the head of Stefan Savic. Fiorentina were forced into a change due to Massimo Ambrosini’s injury, making way for Mati Fernandez. http://markting10.nl/ Buffon smothered an audacious Facundo Roncaglia snapshot and Neto got down quickly to turn a Claudio Marchisio daisy-cutter round the base of the near post. The referee pointed to the spot for a penalty, as Tevez went down under a pointless Gonzalo Rodriguez challenge. The striker got back up to powerfully convert the penalty and give Juventus the lead. He also celebrated with the ‘machine gun’ move Batistuta used to do here. The Bianconeri doubled their advantage moments later, as Cuadrado’s wayward attempt to intercept Paul Pogba’s through ball to Tevez just ended up giving the Frenchman a tap-in to an empty net. Pogba also adopted the Batistuta celebration. http://markting10.nl/ Neto tipped an Andrea Pirlo free kick out from under the bar and also denied Marchisio after the restart. Fiorentina were given a road back into the game when Kwadwo Asamoah nudged Mati Fernandez and the Viola man went down fairly easily. Giuseppe Rossi converted the penalty despite Buffon guessing the right corner. That goal got their tails up and Fiorentina completed their comeback with another Rossi strike, this time he turned and smashed a chest-high angled drive across Buffon from the edge of the box. http://markting10.nl/ The Viola were fired up and turned the game around completely with a third goal in 12 minutes! It was a rapid counter-attack and Borja Valero showed great vision to find Joaquin unmarked in the box. Juventus did not learn the lesson, as they conceded a fourth from another counter-attack. This time Cuadrado used his pace to stun the defence and rolled across for Rossi to side-foot from the edge of the box, completing his hat-trick. http://markting10.nl/ FIORENTINA: Neto; Roncaglia, Gonzalo, Savic; Pasqual, Ambrosini (Fernandez 23), Pizarro, Aquilani (Joaquin 56); Borja Valero, Cuadrado; Rossi (Matos 85) JUVENTUS: Buffon; Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Padoin (Motta 83), Pogba, Pirlo, Marchisio (Vidal 77), Asamoah (Giovinco 79); Llorente, Tevez Ref: Rizzoli http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

FIORENTINA 4 - 2 JUVENTUS Carlos Tévez (PG - 37') Paul Pogba (40′) Giuseppe Rossi (PG - 66′) Giuseppe Rossi (76') Joaquín (78') Giuseppe Rossi (81') October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Attendance: 26000 Rossi nets hat-trick to guide hosts to victory The former Villarreal striker put in a man of the match performance to help the Viola to an impressive comeback win. Oct 20, 2013 Fiorentina ended their 15-year wait for a Serie A home win against Juventus on Sunday as a Giuseppe Rossi hat-trick saw them triumph 4-2. Antonio Contes side took a 2-0 lead into the break thanks to Carlos Tevez and Paul Pogba but an incredible 15-minute spell saw Fiorentina turn the match on its head as Rossi took centre-stage to inspire the hosts' comeback. http://markting10.nl/ The Italian pulled one back from the penalty spot before equalising with a powerful finish. Joaquin gave Fiorentina the lead in the final 15 minutes and Rossi completed his hat-trick late on after Juan Cuadrado's clever pass. Vincenzo Montella's side came into the fixture having only picked up two points from their last three league matches, but he felt only one change was necessary as Facundo Roncaglia replaced Nenad Tomovic, while Fernando Llorente and Pogba replaced Fabio Quagliarella and Arturo Vidal for Juventus, the latter dropped after returning late from international duty. http://markting10.nl/ Tevez and Llorente went close in a quiet opening half hour, the former heading wide while the Spaniard was denied by a Gonzalo Rodriguez intervention. The Argentine defender would be at fault just a few minutes later, however. Tevez controlled and turned just inside the area, but was needlessly tripped by Rodriguez, allowing the former Manchester City man the chance from 12 yards, which he confidently buried. The visitors added a quick-fire second in the 40th minute. Cuadrado burst back into the area to clear the ball, but his attempt while sliding flew up into the air rather than away and gifted Pogba an easy finish from close range. http://markting10.nl/ Juventus went close to opening up a three-goal lead soon after the break as Claudio Marchisio poked the ball past Roncaglia and charged into the area, but Neto blocked the midfielders chipped effort. The Brazilian goalkeeper was becoming increasingly busy and was forced into two more saves before the hour mark to deny Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Pirlo. The second half had been dominated by the visitors, but after Kwadwo Asamoah bundled Matias Fernandez to the ground inside the area, Rossi stroked home the resulting penalty with 24 minutes left. http://markting10.nl/ Italy striker Rossi pulled Fiorentina level in the 76th minute as he held off his marker and then fired across Gianluigi Buffon, into the bottom far corner, as Juve began to rue their wasted chances. Two minutes later, Montella's side completed the turnaround and took the lead. Second-half substitute Joaquin found space in the right side of the area and calmly guided the ball past Buffon to seal a memorable comeback. http://markting10.nl/ What looked like being another defeat to the Turin giants turned into an emphatic victory as Rossi completed his hat-trick with nine minutes to go as he latched on to Cuadrados pass and fired low past the helpless Buffon, wrapping up the three points. Defeat leaves Juventus five points off Roma at the top of Serie A as they languish in third. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

Yaya Toure wants Balotelli or Tevez reunion in Champions League The Manchester City midfielder describes the Italian as "like a brother" and the Argentine as "my favourite striker", and insists he would welcome both back to the Etihad Stadium. Oct 20, 2013 Yaya Toure hopes Manchester City draw Juventus or AC Milan in the Champions League - so he can welcome Mario Balotelli or Carlos Tevez back to Manchester. http://markting10.nl/ City have three points from their first two matches in Europe's premier club competition after beating Viktoria Plzen and losing to Bayern Munich as they bid to reach the knockout stages for the first time. The next round could yield a meeting with one of Serie A's giants, and Toure insists he would relish seeing either of his former team-mates again. "I hope there will be the opportunity for Mario and Carlos to return to Manchester in the Champions League," he told reporters. "I'm waiting for them here. When we lost them I felt bad. http://markting10.nl/ "Mario is not just a friend, he is like a brother. I like him a lot and I was very unhappy when he went to Milan. "The paparazzi followed him everywhere and never left him in peace. "It was difficult for him. I tried to counsel him and help him. http://markting10.nl/ "Carlos is superb, my favourite striker. I adore him. "He is one who works hard, he is a great professional and friend. With him Juve will do very well."

The Sweeper: Manchester City monitoring Pogba latest Mino Raiola is chasing a bumper deal for the Frenchman. Oct 20, 2013 Manchester City are keeping serious tabs on former Manchester United starlet Paul Pogba at Juventus. http://markting10.nl/ The Frenchman's agent, Mino Raiola, is pushing the Italians for a significant new deal to reflect his growing stature at the club, with only two years left on his present package worth £900,000-a-year. Sources close to the Italian club have indicated that they are confident of tying Pogba down, with the promise of making him the club's central midfield fulcrum for the long-term future. Andrea Pirlo, those close to the club say, is set to be released at the end of the season. http://markting10.nl/ However, City are keeping a close eye on the 20-year-old's situation, with the youngster's hero, Patrick Vieira, having scouted him heavily when he was at Old Trafford. Pogba had cold feet about making a direct switch to City at the time due to his time spent in the red half of the City. City remain close to Raiola following their dealings with the agent during Mario Balotelli's City career, and are keen to be at the front of the queue should his negotiations with the Turin outfit break down.
