JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Tevez: Match against Real Madrid is like a final for Juventus Nov 4, 2013 Juventus striker Carlos Tevez has stated that the Bianconeri must approach their match against Real Madrid on Tuesday as if it were a final. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri currently sit in third place in Group B of the Champions League after only collecting two points from their first three matches. As a result Tevez believes the Italian giants must win their next three matches to have any chance of making it to the knockout stage of the competition, starting with Tuesday’s battle against Los Blancos. “I don’t think Real are struggling,” he told reporters at the pre-match press conference. http://markting10.nl/ “They are a great offensive squad, meanwhile they have a few more problems in defence. “Tomorrow will be like a final for us because in order to qualify we have to win the next three matches. http://markting10.nl/ “Duel with Cristiano Ronaldo? I hope it is a great match for everyone. It is an important match. We must look to stop him. “Casillas starts in the Champions League? Those are Ancelotti’s decisions, nothing changes for us.

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Champions League Preview: Juventus vs. Real Madrid — Controlling your own destiny Nov 4, 2013 Let us rewind this story to a little less than a year ago. Back to Nov. 20, 2012, to be exact. Juventus found themselves in dire need of points and the (supposed) top team in the group was coming to Turin. Juve were coming off a so-so showing over the weekend, but it didn't matter — everybody knew what was at stake. http://markting10.nl/ That game, Juventus vs. Chelsea at Juventus Stadium, not only saw Juve leapfrog the then-Champions League holders, but also made us all forget about the way the group stages started. It was a vintage showing. Juve not only beat the defending champions, but absolutely crushed them. It was, hands down, one of the best games of the Antonio Conte era in Turin. With that, we have this: The more things change, the more things (kinda) stay the same. Real Madrid comes to Turin with Juventus sitting in third behind Los Blancos and Galatasaray. Sound familiar, doesn't it? It should. Juve may have one more game to play with compared to when Chelsea rolled into town for Round 2 a year ago, but the situations are still a lot alike. Conte's squad needs points in the worst possible way. Two draws and a loss in three games is all to show for Juve's Champions League campaign thus far. On the other hand, Carlo Ancelotti's men are in the driver's seat in Group B with a full nine out of nine points. http://markting10.nl/ Quite the differing situations, isn't it? Real wins, they're in the knockout stages; Juventus wins, they're heading into their final two group-stage games against Copenhagen (home) and Galatasaray (away) with a much better chance of advancing than before. The Bianconeri control their own destiny. If Juventus truly take advantage of the opportunity in front of them, good things will follow. And we all know that the group stage is just the start of what this team wants to take part, not the end of it. What better way to say you do mean business than to feed what is likely to be one of the best atmospheres at Juventus Stadium all season and against a team that a good number of people think can win the whole damn thing? I like that idea. I hope Conte reads about it somewhere. http://markting10.nl/ GOOD NEWS What did the first time around against Real Madrid do? It proved a point. It showed us that Juve can rise to the occasion when things aren't going well and hang with the big boys. Even with a loss, it helped begin a new run of improvement for a team that just a few days earlier got absolutely stunned in Florence. It brought confidence back, it brought a sense of belief back, it showed us they hadn't lost their hunger. Other than getting three points and putting them in your pocket for the trip home, you can't ask for much more than that. BAD NEWS Surprise, surprise! Juve will be missing key players tomorrow night. Conte will be without two of his top defenders tomorrow night, with Giorgio Chiellini being suspended after his undeserved red card and Stephan Licthsteiner won't take part because the injury he picked up last month won't seem to go away. The same goes for Mirko Vucinic. This just in: I am getting tired of writing about the same players being injured. http://markting10.nl/ WHAT TO WATCH FOR 1. Antonio Conte has to go back to the 4-3-3, right? ...RIGHT? Sure, it was a loss in Madrid, but you can't blame it on the way Juventus played. The shift to the 4-3-3, one of the formations that helped Juve win the first of their two straight Scudetti, had a whole lot to do with the team's performance. Based on that, Conte has to deploy the same tactics...right? It would only make sense. Like Ivo said in his Juve-Madrid recap two weeks back, having something other than the 3-5-2 will do Conte a whole lot of good going into the future. http://markting10.nl/ 2. If Juve go to the expected 4-3-3, who's the other winger? I think it's safe to say Claudio Marchisio isn't a winger and will never be one. That's not breaking news. That's news we've known for years and years on end. But he was deployed as a makeshift winger in Madrid instead of playing behind the Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente like some rumors before kickoff were saying would happen. Might Conte go in the same direction with Marchisio out wide? I have no idea, but it kinda seems like that will be the case. If Conte liked what he saw, then I wouldn't expect him to change. And there's also the trickle down effect. If Marchisio is out on the wing, then who plays in the center of the midfield will be a moot point. But if Conte decides to go with somebody like Sebastian Giovinco or Mr. Champions League aka Fabio Quagliarella in a more attack-minded trident, then that's a whole different matter entirely. http://markting10.nl/ 3. Whether Juve will be able to set the tone early on. The stadium will be electric (more on that later), that's pretty much assumed at this point. The crowd will be ready to go from the opening whistle, and so will Juve if they want to come away with all three points. This won't be one of the relegation battlers Juve have faced the last couple of weekends where a sub-par effort might be able to get the job done. No, no. If Conte's men come out flat, Real Madrid will make them pay for it. That's what good teams do. What made Juve successful in Madrid? They were able to play their game — one for all and all for one common goal. http://markting10.nl/ 4. The performance of Juve's improving defensive unit. I could basically write what I did last time about the attacking threats Real Madrid have. Cristian Ronaldo, Angel di Maria, Gareth Bale — the names are right there in front of us. But you wanna know how many goals Juve have given up since their visit to Madrid a couple weeks ago? Zero. The defense, for the most part, has gotten their act together since the second-half meltdown against Fiorentina on Oct. 20. But the catch is this: No Chiellini, no Lichtsteiner. No exactly what you want to hear going into such an important game. http://markting10.nl/ 5. The atmosphere at Juventus Stadium. Much like the squad itself, the Juventus Stadium crowd has done its part when the occasion calls for it ever since the doors opened in 2011. Keeping with the Juve-Chelsea references, I remember sitting at home watching the game on television and the crowd noise was so loud before kickoff you couldn't even hear the Champions League anthem played over the speakers. And as much as I love listening to "THE CHAMPIONS!!!" over and over again, it was deafening inside the crown jewel of Italian stadiums. It only got better as the game — and the goals — went on. And if Antonio Conte wants it to be rowdy and as loud as it can be possibly be against Real Madrid tomorrow night, then that's exactly how it should be. My starting XI (4-3-3): Buffon; Caceres, Barzagli, Bonucci, Ogbonna; Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba; Tevez, Llorente, Marchisio

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Tactical Battles That Will Shape Juventus' Clash with Real Madrid Nov 4, 2013 Real Madrid is set to travel to Italy to face off with Juventus on Tuesday in Champions League play. The first meeting at the Santiago Bernabeu ended in a 2-1 victory for the Spaniards, but the second clash could prove even more exciting. http://markting10.nl/ The visitors are looking deadly entering the match with Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale firing on all cylinders while Juventus are coming off of two huge wins in the Serie A. Either side could come away victorious, and the match will most likely come down to a few key battles that will take place. In this article, we will take a look at those tactical battles and how they should play out. http://markting10.nl/ Arturo Vidal Versus the Double Pivot In the first meeting between these two giants, Arturo Vidal played an important role. Until his humorous penalty appeal, the Chilean was without question the most menacing attacker Real Madrid had to deal with. Vidal will likely be just as important in Round 2. However, Real Madrid’s attempts to handle the attacker will rest heavily on the shoulders of the double pivot. Whether it will be Xabi Alonso, Sami Khedira, Luka Modric or Asier Illarramendi, it will not be easy. http://markting10.nl/ Vidal has a knack for playing all over the pitch and loves to create havoc behind the strikers. Whichever pairing is in the double pivot will have to be at their best, or Vidal could provide the spark that Juventus needs to win the match in Italy. Look for Vidal to use his pace and his ability to create space to really cause a problem for Real Madrid. With this in mind, Carlo Ancelotti will most likely opt for a more defensive pairing in front of the back line. http://markting10.nl/ Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale Versus the Juventus Defense Cristiano Ronaldo was the deciding factor in the first match as he scored both of Real Madrid’s goals. Entering Round 2, the winger could be even deadlier. In the last two matches, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale have combined for seven goals and four assists. That is a scary statistic for Juventus. The Italians changed things up in the first meeting, deviating from the regular three-man defense for a more traditional one. It is safe to say that test failed and that Juventus will most likely stick with what it knows this time around. http://markting10.nl/ No matter how many players it sticks in defense, it will still struggle to hold back the pairing of Ronaldo and Bale. Real Madrid will be looking to score as many goals as possible and is in the perfect form to light up the Italians on Tuesday. Juventus has been arguably the best defensive club in Europe over the last few seasons, and this is just the match it will have to prove it in. http://markting10.nl/ Andrea Pirlo Versus Real Madrid's Defense Andrea Pirlo was miraculously marked out of the match the first time these two met. The Italian magician was unable to provide the creativity he often does, and Juventus suffered because of it. However, don’t think for a moment that it will happen again. Pirlo has made his name on being one of the brightest and most influential players in the world, and he won’t let Real Madrid get the better of him twice. http://markting10.nl/ On Tuesday, Real Madrid’s defense will again be tasked with making sure that Pirlo is unable to control the game for the Italians. The midfield will play an important role as well, but it is ultimately the defenders will who dictate how much Pirlo is able to do. The 34-year-old is invaluable to Juventus. No one else in the squad can do what he can, and he must succeed for the Old Lady to get the better of their Spanish rivals. http://markting10.nl/ Real Madrid's Creativity Versus the Organization of Juventus Juventus remains one of the most well-organized and smartest football clubs around. It will seek to use its intelligence to get the better of Real and will have one serious issue in its favor. After the exit of Mesut Ozil, Real Madrid still does not have that one player that ties everything together. Luka Modric has shown that he is creative, and Isco has been able to link up play, but neither midfielder pulls the strings in total control. Angel Di Maria’s passing oftentimes leads to chances, but he is not a general in the middle of the pitch. http://markting10.nl/ Real Madrid is a team that relies on heavy attacking and deadly scorers. Luckily for Los Blancos, those pieces are there in abundance. However, the lack of a real tactician in the midfield could stunt the performance of the likes of Ronaldo and Bale. Simply put, if no one is able to give the ball to the attackers, scoring goals will be very difficult. Modric may be the most likely candidate for Real Madrid, but you can count on Juventus being organized enough to keep the Croatian at bay. In truth, this may be the battle that determines the match. http://markting10.nl/ Everybody Versus the Referee The real story of the first match between Real Madrid and Juventus was the referee. Many believe that Giorgio Chiellini was unfairly sent off in a call that completely changed the face of the match. To be honest, this has been a terrible year for refereeing. Hopefully, the man with the whistle will not play as a big of a role this time around, but there is always that possibility. http://markting10.nl/ Everyone just wants to see these two giants go at it. Let’s all hope the referee does what he is supposed to do and control the game rather than decide the game. With that being said, enjoy this feast of a Champions League match!

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Ancelotti unhappy with Madrid defence The 54-year-old is concerned his side's exemplary attack could be undone by continued problems at the back and praised the "extraordinary" work of Juventus boss Antonio Conte. Nov 4, 2013 Carlo Ancelotti has called for drastic improvement from his defence as Real Madrid prepare to take on Juventus on Tuesday. http://markting10.nl/ Los Blancos have scored an average of just under three goals per game this season, but have conceded 16 times in La Liga alone, twice as many as Atletico Madrid and Barcelona. Former AC Milan coach Ancelotti is hoping his team can correct this problem as they look to maintain their perfect record in the Champions League thus far when they travel to Turin on Tuesday. "We've been conceding too many goals and this is our problem," he told reporters. "Everybody in the world knows how important the defensive work is. http://markting10.nl/ "But we've scored 42 goals in 15 games, with an average of three goals a game." Madrid have been boosted by the return to fitness of Raphael Varane, and Ancelotti confirmed the Frenchman will start the clash with the Italian champions. " Varane will play tomorrow because he didn't play on Saturday and will be fresh," he said. http://markting10.nl/ "I'll choose between Sergio Ramos and Pepe to partner him." Victory over the Bianconeri will guarantee Madrid's place in the last 16, but Ancelotti has warned of the danger posed by a side masterminded by the "extraordinary" Antonio Conte. "Conte has done an extraordinary job. He is working at a club which he feels particularly strongly about and in these three years, he’s done more than anybody could have possibly imagined, winning the title twice. He’s got a very competitive side," said Ancelotti. http://markting10.nl/ "We need to rotate our team to have the freshest players on the field, with the most physical strength, and I don't think rotating is a problem although sometimes we lose our balance as a result and we need to improve this. "It’s going to be an interesting game. Juventus have more difficulties than us in the group – this is a chance for us to seal qualification and the sooner you get that, the better."

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Juventus-Real Madrid Preview: Host looking to get back on track The Bianconeri have just two points from their opening three Champions League games and will need a famous victory on Tuesday to keep their Group B fate in their hands. Nov 4, 2013 Juventus' Champions League hopes hang by a thread going into Tuesday's showdown with Group B leaders Real Madrid. Antonio Conte's men have just two points from their opening three games and, with second-placed Galatasaray facing rock-bottom Copenhagen, a home defeat to the Spanish giants could leave them five points adrift of a qualification spot for the last 16. http://markting10.nl/ But Conte, who saw his side lose 2-1 at the Bernabeu, believes the home fans can make the difference. "I hope the Juventus Stadium is going to be a boiling cauldron on Tuesday night, so that the fans can push us to victory," he told Juventus TV. "We have already shown in Madrid what we can do. Madrid have been constructed to win their 10th European Cup, but we must not be afraid." http://markting10.nl/ Juve were boosted on Saturday by the return from injury of influential forward Fabio Quagliarella, who played the last 15 minutes of the 1-0 win at Parma. They will be without defender Giorgio Chiellini, though, after he was sent off in the reverse fixture last month. The Serie A champions have lost just once in the league - a 4-2 defeat at Fiorentina, where they had led by two at the break - and have leaders Roma in their sights. http://markting10.nl/ But demand to do well in continental competition is high at Juventus, following a successful return to the competition last term which saw them reach the quarter-finals. Victory against a Real side that has reached the semi-finals in each of the last three seasons would signal Juve's intent, but Carlo Ancelotti's charges represent a substantial challenge to overcome. The 3-2 win over Rayo Vallecano on Saturday, in which Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice to take his season's tally to 22 in all competitions, came on the heels of a 7-3 triumph over Sevilla, underlining the visitors' goalscoring threat. http://markting10.nl/ Ronaldo scored both goals in the meeting between the two sides in Spain, moving him into third in the competition's all-time scorers list. The Portuguese is six shy of Barcelona's Lionel Messi and 15 short of overhauling Real legend Raul, who has 71. Ancelotti's side will secure their place in the knockout stages with a victory. http://markting10.nl/ Head to Head UEFA Champions League - Oct 23, 2013 - Real Madrid CF 2 - 1 Juventus Peace Cup 2009 - Jul 31, 2009 - Juventus 2 - 1 Real Madrid CF UEFA Champions League - Nov 5, 2008 - Real Madrid CF 0 - 2 Juventus UEFA Champions League - Oct 21, 2008 - Juventus 2 - 1 Real Madrid CF http://markting10.nl/ Last Five Matches JUVENTUS Nov 2, 2013 - Parma 0 - 1 Juventus - Serie A Oct 30, 2013 - Juventus 4 - 0 Catania - Serie A Oct 27, 2013 - Juventus 2 - 0 Genoa - Serie A Oct 23, 2013 - Real Madrid CF 2 - 1 Juventus - UCL Oct 20, 2013 - Fiorentina 4 - 2 Juventus - Serie A REAL MADRID CF Nov 2, 2013 - Rayo Vallecano 2 - 3 Real Madrid CF - LIGA Oct 30, 2013 - Real Madrid CF 7 - 3 Sevilla - LIGA Oct 26, 2013 - FC Barcelona 2 - 1 Real Madrid CF - LIGA Oct 23, 2013 - Real Madrid CF 2 - 1 Juventus - UCL Oct 19, 2013 - Real Madrid CF 2 - 0 Malaga - LIGA

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) How Juventus Will Line Up Against Real Madrid Nov 4, 2013 Juventus have recovered superbly from two stunning defeats to Fiorentina and Real Madrid to string together three victories in the league. http://markting10.nl/ The win at Parma on Saturday was especially impressive given the Gialloblu's form. But the competition steps up again, after a convenient drop which enabled the Bianconeri to regain their confidence. Los Merengues come to Turin on Tuesday to attempt to secure their passage to the last 16 and put Juve in a perilous position, especially so given Galatasaray face Copenhagen once again. http://markting10.nl/ Antonio Conte has wisely rotated his squad and made each member of the squad feel like they are playing their part this season. l'architetto @juventus_fc_fan Ogbonna was solid today after a shaky start to the game. I have no doubts in his ability. He'll become one of Juve's pillars soon. Even Marco Motta, who was on the outside this summer, as it looked certain that he would be sold, has been surprisingly handed a new lease of life in the wake of Stephan Lichtsteiner's injury. http://markting10.nl/ Paul Pogba continues to amaze, snatching the winner at the Tardini last weekend and further complicating Conte's midfield selection. It appears to have forced Conte into a change of formation, one that was trialled at the Stadio Santiago Bernabeu. So Juve could line up in a 4-3-3, which would push Claudio Marchisio into an attacking trident with Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente. http://markting10.nl/ Tarek Khatib @ADP1113 La Stampa, giornalaccio rosa & SKY all reporting that Juve will play with the same formation & line-up used in Bernabeu [bonucci in for Chiellini]. This will enable Pogba to continue to shine in the midfield with the ever-present Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo. A back four will be brought out once again, which did not include Leonardo Bonucci in the first encounter between the sides. http://markting10.nl/ The 26-year-old was dropped for Angelo Ogbonna, who occupied the left-back role, while Martin Caceres played at right-back—both of whom could be considered primarily centre-backs. But after Giorgio Chiellini's red card in the first game between the sides, the tactical dilemma has been postponed as such, with Bonucci resting at the weekend in order to prepare himself for Tuesday's clash. Andrea Barzagli will partner him and Ogbonna—who was particularly shaky in the first game—will return to left-back, with the Uruguayan Caceres coming back into the side at right-back. http://markting10.nl/ The only battle as such appears to be Fabio Quagliarella, who returned from injury at the weekend, and the Neapolitan will challenge the Spaniard Llorente to spearhead the attack. It is a thankless task having to face Real Madrid in back-to-back group stage matches, as it hands the advantage to Galatasaray. With the Turkish side having seen Juve drop points in Copenhagen, they knew that the double over the Danish champions would put them in firm control of claiming second place in the group. It is therefore imperative that Juve avoid defeat, while a loss could all but end their hopes of qualification, leaving them with a maximum final total of eight points and Gala already on seven points, should Roberto Mancini's side win at Parken. http://markting10.nl/ It is a risk to persist with a formation sparsely used by Conte in his two-and-a-half seasons in Turin, but he will know that it is up to him to make the big calls and turn this side's fortunes around. It should be a fantastic encounter, and hopefully the referee will not spoil the match by making consistently poor calls, as was the case in the first match between the sides. Probable line-up (4-3-3): Gianluigi Buffon; Martin Caceres, Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci, Angelo Ogbonna; Arturo Vidal, Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba; Claudio Marchisio, Fernando Llorente, Carlos Tevez.

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Real Madrid: How They Will Line Up vs. Juventus in Champions League Nov 4, 2013 Real Madrid will be assured of their passage to the knockout stages of the Champions League with a win in Turin against Juventus on Tuesday night. http://markting10.nl/ They sit top of Group B with maximum points from their three games, with Galatasaray five points back in second and Juve seven behind in third. On Monday morning Carlo Ancelotti announced the 22-man squad which would travel to Italy to try and get the job done. The only notable absentee was Fabio Coentrao, who was forced off against Rayo Vallecano at the weekend with an injury. http://markting10.nl/ Xabi Alonso's inclusion was the good news. Taken off as a precaution at half-time in Vallecas on his return to the starting line-up, the team suffered in the second half as a result. Alonso's absence has been one of the major factors in Ancelotti's inability to strike the right balance in midfield—his comeback only strengthened that point. It is now the Italian coach's job to decide who best fits into the side next to the former Liverpool midfielder. http://markting10.nl/ Sami Khedira has been his favoured pick in the middle of the park this season, while Luka Modric has arguably been the most impressive individually. Ancelotti has also confirmed it will be difficult to fit Alonso and Asier Illarramendi into the same midfield, via Marca. With more caution expected in the home of the Old Lady, common sense would suggest Khedira will start. http://markting10.nl/ At the back, Coentrao's absence means Marcelo will play at left-back, while on the other side Alvaro Arbeloa could come in for Dani Carvajal—the two have been rotated of late. In the middle Raphael Varane may return to partner Sergio Ramos. And, as it is a Champions League game, Iker Casillas will usurp Diego Lopez in goal. http://markting10.nl/ Further forward the normal case of four from five may become four from six, with Luka Modric an option to make a three-man midfield. That would mean Isco could be left to his thoughts on the bench again. Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema have shown signs of developing into the front three they should be in the last week. http://markting10.nl/ The Portuguese forward has scored five goals in two games, the French international three and the Welsh galactico has added two—plus four assists. However, is Bale ready for three games in a week? He came through 180 minutes against Sevilla and Rayo and may be better placed to make an impact off the bench against Juve. http://markting10.nl/ That would leave Angel di Maria—or possibly Isco—to start on the right of the Madrid attacking unit. Ancelotti's developed a knack of surprising with his team selections recently, though, so take nothing for granted until the teams are announced before kick-off. Predicted Real Madrid XI: Iker Casillas; Alvaro Arbeloa, Raphael Varane, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo; Xabi Alonso, Sami Khedira, Luka Modric; Angel di Maria, Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Varane: We'll go for the win Nov 4, 2013 Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane has insisted that his side will go for all three points against Juventus tomorrow. http://markting10.nl/ The Spanish giants play the Bianconeri in the Champions League on Tuesday, needing just a point to qualify for the last 16. But the French centre-back has claimed that his men will want to win. “We only need a point to qualify, but we want the victory, the three points and top spot in the group,” he told a Press conference. http://markting10.nl/ “Juve need a victory and they’ll play to a quick tempo, giving all they’ve got. They’ll have lots of fans behind them and it will be a fiery atmosphere, so we’ll have to respond to their intensity.” The 20-year-old concluded with an insight into former Juve hero Zinedine Zidane’s current role as Real Madrid assistant manager: “Zizou speaks with us all individually, he gives us advice and uses his experience to help us. He brings a sense of serenity to the group.”

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) 'We're in for an interesting match' Nov 4, 2013 Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has claimed that his side are in for ‘an interesting match’ when they face Juventus tomorrow. http://markting10.nl/ Los Blancos travel to Turin to play the Bianconeri in the Champions League on Tuesday, and the Italian tactician has praised the Serie A side, as well as Antonio Conte. “I think it will be an interesting match. We know that Juve will play with plenty of intensity, at a high tempo, and we will need to be at our best to match them,” he told a Press conference. “It’s true that Juventus have more to gain in the group than us, but it’s also an important game as far as we’re concerned because it’s an opportunity for us to seal qualification. The quicker it arrives, the better. http://markting10.nl/ “We’re attacking very well at the moment - we’ve netted 42 times in 15 games - but we’re conceding too many goals, that’s the problem. It’s true that I’m not happy with the defence but don’t forget that we have scored an average of three goals per game. “I don’t think the defensive problems have been caused by rotation. It gives us the opportunity to have players in a better physical condition. “Conte has done an extraordinary job, because he has worked and is still working in an environment that he’s fully familiar with. He’s done as much as anybody could have imagined in these three years, winning two Scudetto titles and also constructing a very competitive team, thanks also to the help of the club.”

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Ancelotti: Fond memories of Juve Nov 4, 2013 Carlo Ancelotti has reflected on his two year spell with Juventus, admitting he holds ‘good memories’ from his time in Turin. http://markting10.nl/ The Coach was in charge at the Bianconeri between 1999 and 2001, winning just a solitary Intertoto Cup. But the tactician has insisted that he is looking forward to returning tomorrow as his Real Madrid team play Antonio Conte’s men in the Champions League. “I spent two good years with Juventus,” he told JTV. “I have good memories of my time there. It was a great experience. http://markting10.nl/ “Tomorrow’s game is a real European classic. There’s no need for my players to be motivated because it is a clear challenge. “Juve played a good game at Santiago Bernabeu. I expect a lot of entertainment this time around.”

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Tevez keen to end CL drought Nov 4, 2013 Juventus' Carlos Tevez is looking to end his Champions League goal drought in the first of ‘three Finals’ against Real Madrid on Tuesday. http://markting10.nl/ The Argentine, six goals in 11 Serie A ties this term, hasn’t netted in the competition since he was a Manchester United player against Porto in April 2009. “Has it really been that long? I didn’t realise that,” the forward noted on Monday. “I hope to end that run tomorrow.” The Juventus Stadium tie will be of vital importance to the Italian club given that they have only collected two draws – against Copenhagen and Galatasaray – and a defeat to Real from their three games so far. http://markting10.nl/ “I’m hoping it will be a great game, but we want to win it. The three matches that we have left are all Finals – and that includes tomorrow’s. “I don’t think it will be an easy game for Real. The atmosphere will be beautiful, but it will be us players who step out on to the pitch and not the fans – even if they will support us for 90 minutes.” http://markting10.nl/ Iker Casillas is likely to return to the Real goal given that boss Carlo Ancelotti uses him in Europe and Diego Lopez in La Liga. “That is a decision for Ancelotti. It makes no difference to me and I’m not concerned about it in the slightest. Casillas is certainly a more important player than Lopez, but it changes nothing.”

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Conte: Real a fundamental tie Nov 4, 2013 Antonio Conte has played down the importance of the system Juventus will use against Real Madrid on Tuesday. http://markting10.nl/ Although he has reverted to the 3-5-2 shape in Serie A, he is expected to go with the 4-3-3 he opted for during the 2-1 Champions League loss in Spain two weeks ago. “We returned to a 4-3-3 in Spain, but my side can also play with a 3-5-2,” the tactician stated on Monday. “We’ll see, we could even change shape during the course of the game. “What is more important than the system is the way we interpret the game, because we are playing a candidate to win the Champions League.” http://markting10.nl/ While Real have a 100 per cent record, Juventus have only collected two points from their three ties so far. “It’s a waste of time trying to hide,” Conte added. “This will be a fundamental and beautiful game. “It will be crucial if we want to continue in the Champions League and we have to do something on the pitch to deserve continuing in the competition. http://markting10.nl/ “We know it will be tough tomorrow, but we know that we have the qualities to do well. “We’ll look to take advantage of the atmosphere and I expect some great support from our fans. They have to follow the team during the positive and less positive moments of the match. “We have to raise ourselves against a very tall obstacle.” http://markting10.nl/ Conte, though, admitted that his side would have to be in top shape defensively to keep Real quiet at the Juventus Stadium. “Real have great champions and they live through matches like this on a weekly basis. It is a classic of the European game. “Coach Carlo Ancelotti can count on an extraordinary and devastating offensive department. Especially if you leave them space in which to counter-attack. http://markting10.nl/ “Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Angel Di Maria and the rest are fantastic when they have space to attack. We have to tactically repeat what we did in Madrid.” The former midfielder wasn’t left too impressed with the refereeing in the game at the Bernabeu, seeing as Real were awarded a controversial penalty and Giorgio Chiellini was dismissed. “We’re thinking about playing the game, UEFA worry about referees. http://markting10.nl/ “There were a few incidents in the first match which compromised the result, but the referee is part of the game. “We are happy that a top tier referee, one of the best in the world, has been handed this tie.” Englishman Howard Webb will officiate.

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) 'Ronaldo's acting will serve as a great business card for Hollywood' - Juventus supporters The Portuguese infuriated the Bianconeri support in the last encounter at Santiago Bernabeu, and Goal caught up with fans before Tuesday's game to hear their views. Nov 4, 2013 EXCLUSIVE By Roman Agresti Juventus fans are preparing to hand Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo "a special welcome" after a controversial clash at Santiago Bernabeu on Champions League matchday three. http://markting10.nl/ Giorgio Chiellini was dismissed after allegedly elbowing Ronaldo in the face in the second half of the match, which Madrid eventually won 2-1, much to the anger of the Bianconeri support. And Goal Italy was at hand to ask some of the die-hard Juve supporters how they plan to welcome the 28-year-old. "Cristiano Ronaldo will be greeted with boos," said Lorenzo Brigidi, head of the Juventus fan club Doc Orcia Valley. http://markting10.nl/ "Football is a sport where honesty and fairness are valued. A player can be a technical phenomenon, but Juve fans like players who are complete." Meanwhile, another fan club member, Annamaria Licata, echoed these sentiments: "I state that for us, Juventus comes first, and then everything else. "What Cristiano Ronaldo did will not be forgotten. He will receive the welcome he deserves. It will be a show within a show." http://markting10.nl/ A Doc Casamarciano fan club member, Angelo Alessio, added: "Surely Cristiano Ronaldo will find he gets a special welcome after what happened in Madrid. "Fans of Juventus are ready to catch him. He has become the protagonist of a really unsportsmanlike gesture and, therefore, will be jeered loudly." Meanwhile, another fan was more lighthearted in his appraisal of Ronaldo's performance at Santiago Bernabeu, but believes the Portuguese attacker will also be treated with contempt by Juve fans. http://markting10.nl/ "Cristiano Ronaldo has demonstrated a great appetite for goals and acting against the Bianconeri. His display in this match is a great business card that he can present to some Hollywood director after his football career, joked Rivoira Luca, president of the Juventus fan club Doc Settimo Torinese. "He is a player who is smart enough to fool the referee. And he will certainly hear a lot of whistles against him from the Juve stands this time around." http://markting10.nl/ But there are also those Bianconeri fans who warn against giving the 28-year-old a hostile reception as it could backfire and give Juve more heartache, according to Marcello Buscaglia, founder of the Juventus fan club Godiasco Po. He said: "Provoking him could motivate Ronaldo further and encourage him to play even better in the match." Pierre Borg, from the Juventus fan club Doc True Love Malta 1975 is on the same wavelength: "Cristiano Ronaldo really likes to be the centre of attention, so ignoring him completely would be the right thing to do."

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Conte turns up heat on referees The Juventus boss was unhappy with officiating in their Champions League encounter with Real Madrid and expects the standard of refereeing to improve on matchday four. Nov 4, 2013 Juventus coach Antonio Conte is turning up the heat on referees as he says despite the controversial encounter with Real Madrid he is willing to keep his faith in officials. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri boss was left bemused on Champions League matchday three when Real Madrid received a penalty and defender Giorgio Chiellini was later dismissed in the 2-1 defeat to Madrid. Manuel Grafe, the referee at the Santiago Bernabeu in that game, has reportedly since been dropped from officiating in matches of this significance, and Conte hopes for an improvement in refereeing when the sides meet at Juventus Stadium on Tuesday. "Refereeing decisions affected the game in the first tie. But referees make mistakes like everyone does," the 44-year-old told a press conference. http://markting10.nl/ "We need to think about playing football and maintaining our confidence in the referees that we're assigned." English official Howard Webb will be in charge of the match that is of crucial importance to Juve's Champions League ambitions. The Serie A champions have taken two points from their opening three games in Group B and know another loss to Madrid on Tuesday could jeopardise their chances of making it through to the last 16. http://markting10.nl/ "There's great fascination surrounding this fixture, Juve against Real is a historic tie in European football," Conte continued. "It's a great tie that's important for our progress in the Champions League. We need to be proud that we're involved in a game like this. http://markting10.nl/ "We can also change things as the game progresses. What counts more, however, is the desire we show on the night. "We approach the game following three league wins and need to show that we deserve to go through to the knockout stages."

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Tevez: I don't envy Ronaldo The flamboyant Juventus attacker says although the Portuguese star has had an impressive start to the season he is not jealous of his talents. Nov 4, 2013 Juventus attacker Carlos Tevez has insisted that he is not envious of Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of Tuesday's Champions League encounter against Real Madrid. http://markting10.nl/ The Portugal international has been in sublime form this campaign, netting 20 goals in 15 appearances, yet Tevez sees no reasons to be jealous. "Ronaldo is a great player, but I've got nothing to be envious of," the Argentine attacker stated at a press conference. Tevez then went on to highlight the importance of Tuesday's game for Juventus' Champions League ambitions and stressed that they cannot afford to spill points again following their difficult start in Europe. http://markting10.nl/ "The three fixtures that remain are all finals for us. I hope Juventus-Real Madrid proves to be a good game all round," he continued. "We will be playing in our own stadium and the supporters will be behind us for 90 minutes." Juventus currently sit third in Group B with two points from three games, with Madrid leading the section with nine points.

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Ronaldo is Madrid's past, present & future, says Modric The Croatia international has showered his team-mate with praise and compared him with some of the greatest players in the history of the game. Nov 4, 2013 Luka Modric believes Cristiano Ronaldo deserves to be mentioned alongside Real Madrid greats Alfredo Di Stefano and Ferenc Puskas. http://markting10.nl/ The 28-year-old recently surpassed Puskas on the list of Madrid's all-time top goalscorers in the league and Modric has nothing but praise for his team-mate. "There are so many great players who have played for Real Madrid," Modric told bwin.com. "Looking back, there were Di Stefano and Puskas. More recently, Madrid had Raul and Zidane, one of our coaches. http://markting10.nl/ "And then there's Cristiano, who is the past, present and future of this team. Modric also had his say on the upcoming Champions League match against Juventus and stressed that Madrid do not fear the Serie A champions. "We are not afraid of Juventus. They are a great team that we respect, but we are not afraid of them. http://markting10.nl/ "They have a great squad with great players, and when you play big matches like this you want the best players from the other team to play against you." Tuesday's match in Turin is scheduled to kick off at 20:45CET.

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) The youngest and oldest teams in the Champions League Anderlecht and Ajax have the youngest squads while JUVENTUS have the oldest, but it appears that achieving the right blend of experience is the best recipe for success. Nov 4, 2013 COMMENT By Craig Turnbull They say age is only a number, but as Ajax and Anderlecht have found out to their cost in the Champions League, it is apparent that it counts for a whole lot more. Both sides have the youngest squads in the competition with an average of age of just 23-years-old, and it seems that the expectation and pressure that comes with playing in Europe is weighing heavily down on them. http://markting10.nl/ Ajax, a club widely heralded for their wonderful youth academy, which has seen the likes of Dennis Bergkamp, Patrick Kluivert, Clarence Seedorf and more recently Wesley Sneijder and Rafael van der Vaart come through the ranks, are not enjoying the same success as they once did in the halcyon days of the '90s. Back then they reached consecutive Champions League finals, beating AC Milan in 1995, before losing to Juventus on penalties the following year. A 2-1 defeat to Celtic on matchday three this season rooted Frank de Boer's men to the bottom of Group H. But perhaps it is telling that only one player in that starting XI - 33-year-old Christian Poulsen - was over the age of 24 and the average age of that side was just under 23. YOUNGEST CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TEAMS Club .......... Average age Anderlecht .. 22.7 Ajax .. 23.3 Celtic .. 24.5 Borussia Dortmund . 25.0 Schalke .. 25.0 http://markting10.nl/ Viktor Fischer and Lucas Andersen, both 19, are the shining new stars of the Dutch side but are not at the same standard as previous academy alumni, while the sales of young, accomplished playmaker Christian Eriksen to Tottenham and Belgium international defender Toby Alderweireld to Atletico Madrid in the summer, have done nothing to mitigate their Champions League woes. Meanwhile, Belgian side Anderlecht are facing a similar situation to their Dutch counterparts, with inexperienced youngsters and a dearth of top quality players blighting their campaign. In the 3-0 and 5-0 defeats to Olympiakos and Paris Saint-Germain, respectively, coach John van den Brom fielded a side with an average age of only 22. Youri Tielemans at 16 years and 148 days became the third youngest player to play in the Champions League behind Alen Halilovic and Celestine Babayaro, while Dennis Praet, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Chancel Mbemba, all 19, who were in the squad, have yet to prove they can compete at this level. As a result the Belgians are yet to get off the mark, or even score a goal in Group C and have conceded 10. http://markting10.nl/ OLDEST CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TEAMS Club .......... Average age Juventus .. 28.6 Zenit .. 28.5 Chelsea .. 28.1 Galatasaray .. 28.1 Manchester City . 27.4 But, of course, having older, more experienced players does not necessarily guarantee success either. Galatasaray, fielding a team with an average age of 29-years-old against Real Madrid on matchday one, were emphatically beaten 6-1; Czech side Viktoria Plzen also had an average age of 29 in their encounter with Bayern Munich and were thumped 5-0 on matchday three. And Juventus, who have the oldest squad average of all the Champions League teams at 28.6-years-old, have taken two points from their opening three games in Group C, which features Madrid, Galatasaray and Copenhagen. http://markting10.nl/ It seems that an appropriate blend of youth and experience can help facilitate the quest for glory if previous winners of the tournament are anything to go by. Last season's successors Bayern have young players such as David Alaba, Toni Kroos and Xherdan Shaqiri complemented by older talents like Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben which brings the squad's average age up to 26. Borussia Dortmund, whom they beat in the final this year, have exciting talents like Robert Lewandowski, 25, and Marco Reus, 24, while goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller, 33, helps to take the squad average up to 25. http://markting10.nl/ Real Madrid, who are targeting la Decima, have an average of 26 years, while rivals Barcelona, who recently won the tournament in 2009 and 2011 are slightly older at 27. This is also the case for the two Manchester clubs, United and City, both of whom had an average of 27-years-old. Arsenal are slightly younger at 26, and 2012 winners Chelsea are older at 28 years of age. French champions Paris Saint-Germain have an average of just under 26. The age of players alone cannot be a determining factor as to the success of the club, as the quality of player, tactics, coach, and the ability to play as a team are also key concerns, but what it does show is that teams who are heavily reliant on young players at this level can struggle with the demand and expectations placed on them as Ajax and Anderlecht know only too well.

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) No Juventus fear for Modric Nov 4, 2013 Real Madrid’s Luka Modric is looking forward to the prospect of playing Juventus in the Champions League this week. http://markting10.nl/ With nine points from a possible nine so far, the Spanish giants will take on an Italian outfit – who have collected just two points – on Tuesday night. “We are not afraid of Juventus,” the Croatian international told the Bwin website. “They are a great team that we respect, but we don’t fear them. “They have a great squad with great players, and when you play big matches like this you want the best players from the other team to play against you. http://markting10.nl/ “Personally I want to play my best and help my team to win all of the matches and trophies possible. “I prepare for Champions League matches in the usual way, the same as for a League match. There is not much difference between getting ready for one or the other.”

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) A 4-3-3 Juventus for Real? Nov 4, 2013 Tuttosport are claiming Juventus will line up with a 4-3-3 in Tuesday’s Champions League game against Real Madrid. http://markting10.nl/ Boss Antonio Conte surprisingly fielded such a shape in Madrid during the 2-1 loss and, although he has since reverted back to a 3-5-2 in Serie A, he seems intent on fielding a trident attack again. The Turin daily is suggesting Martin Caceres will be fielded as the right-back, with Leonardo Bonucci coming in for the suspended Giorgio Chiellini in the middle. http://markting10.nl/ On the left, Angelo Ogbonna and Federico Peluso are in competition for the full-back shirt. The midfield trio will be made up of Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal. Claudio Marchisio will be used in an advanced attacking position on the right, with Carlos Tevez on the left. http://markting10.nl/ Fernando Llorente, who scored in the first game, will battle with Fabio Quagliarella for the centre-forward role. The Turin giants have collected just two points from their three European Cup ties so far this term. http://markting10.nl/ Juventus probable: Buffon; Caceres, Barzagli, Bonucci, Ogbonna; Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba; Marchisio, Llorente, Tevez. Real Madrid probable: Casillas; Arbeloa, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo; Modric, Alonso, Khedira; Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo.

Arsenal target January loan move for Llorente The Gunners have taken the first steps to capture the Juventus striker as they bid to reinforce their front line and are also keeping tabs on AC Milan's Stephan El Shaarawy. Nov 4, 2012 EXCLUSIVE By Wayne Veysey Arsenal are targeting an ambitious January loan move for Fernando Llorente as they prepare to reinforce their front line, Goal can reveal. http://markting10.nl/ The Premier League leaders have taken the first steps towards capturing the Juventus striker in the forthcoming window. Goal understands that the Gunners have made preliminary contact with Llorente's representatives in a bid to secure proven back-up to spearhead Olivier Giroud for the second half of the season. Arsenal are also keeping close tabs on a second Serie A forward, Stephan El Shaarawy, although his club AC Milan are only likely to sell in January if they get eliminated from the Champions League before Christmas. http://markting10.nl/ Arsene Wenger’s priority remains to capture a marquee striker after moves for Luis Suarez, Gonzalo Higuain, Stevan Jovetic and Wayne Rooney all fell through last summer, while the Gunners were also unable to agree a last-ditch loan deal for Chelsea’s Demba Ba. Wenger is well aware of the difficulties in landing A-list options in the notoriously difficult January window, when the big clubs are reluctant to sell their best players. As reported by Goal, Arsenal accept that Liverpool will not sell Suarez to them in the new year and, despite receiving encouragement that Wayne Rooney is still unsettled at Manchester United, have turned their attention to more realistic alternatives. http://markting10.nl/ Llorente has emerged as a possible short-term option even though he would be cup-tied for the Champions League. The 28-year-old has had a difficult time in Turin since his summer transfer on a free from Athletic Bilbao and Arsenal, who enquired about signing him 12 months ago, have been alerted to his potential availability. With Carlos Tevez the first-choice striker at Juventus, Llorente has had to compete with Mirko Vucinic and Fabio Quagliarella for a regular starting place. http://markting10.nl/ After beginning the campaign out of favour, Llorente has started seven of Juventus' 16 matches, including a run of four consecutive starts before he was dropped to the bench for the 1-0 win at Parma on Saturday. But the Spaniard, keen for a bigger role as he bids to return to the Spain side for the World Cup, has scored only two goals for the Serie A champions, and Arsenal are hopeful they might be open to the possibility of loaning him out overseas. http://markting10.nl/ 'LLORENTE SHOULDN'T QUIT JUVE' Luis Herrera | Goal Spain A move to Arsenal in January would be a huge mistake for Fernando Llorente. True, he has struggled at Juventus, but that could be expected after an awful final year with Athletic Bilbao. Llorente saw plenty of action in October and it's a matter of time for him to get more comfortable with his new team. A move to Arsenal not only would be a second start from scratch in six months, it also would mean not being able to play in the Champions League, all just a few months before the final selection for the World Cup. Right now, Llorente's safest bet is to stay at Turin.

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Real's forward thinking covers defensive cracks in Vallecas Nov 4, 2013 Carlo Ancelotti was not a very happy man after watching his Real Madrid side beat an ambitious Rayo Vallecano 3-2 in the southern capital suburb on Saturday evening. Once again, Real had the game by the scruff of the neck, as it had against Sevilla during the midweek round of fixtures, and once again from a commanding position of three-nil up the opposition almost wriggled free of a stranglehold earned from goals by Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema. http://markting10.nl/ "That this has happened in two consecutive games is not a coincidence," the Italian said after a match in which his multi-multi-million collection of world superstars almost had its pants pulled down by a club so devoid of liquidity that it only recently emerged from bankruptcy. However, Rayo played the more flowing football for large periods of the match, winning the battle for possession of the ball as it had against Barcelona earlier in the season. But possession is one of those statistics that generally fail to reflect the bigger picture: the impression that Real left in the working-class Vallecas neighbourhood is that it actually operates better without the white sphere under its control for too long. Given time to think, Ancelotti's players over-elaborate. Hitting forward with instinctive movement, there is little any side can do against his brutally efficient front line. Ronaldo opened the scoring on a break, neatly nutmegging a Rayo defender and slotting home past Rubén on three minutes and Real ploughed a similar furrow during the first 45 minutes, surging forward whenever the chance arose. Gareth Bale again excelled in his right wing role, providing two assists, although Ancelotti's attempt to crowbar both the Welshman and Angel di Maria into the side did not come off. The Argentinean, playing in an unfamiliar role on the left in the first bank of midfield, was muted and offered little going forward or defensively. If Bale is to continue in the starting 11, Ancelotti will have to get his salt and pepper shakers out again to work out a way to accommodate the in-form Di Maria as well. http://markting10.nl/ It is little coincidence either that Real went to pieces when Asier Illarramendi replaced Xabi Alonso at half time. The young Basque holding midfielder is doubtless a fine player but, much like Sergio Canales before him, perhaps snapped up from a lesser Liga light a little before his time. Real went into the break 2-0 up and added a third after the restart, but a few minutes later was only a goal to the good, Pepe and then Marcelo incurring penalties in quick succession that Valencia loanee Jonathan Viera coolly slotted past Diego Lopez. Credit for Rayo's imposing second half performance is entirely reserved for its charismatic coach, Paco Jemez. This is a man who described his side as "the shit of La Liga" after a loss early this season, but boldly proclaimed he had had a dream going into this game in which his team had given Real a "good going over." Dreams in Vallecas, it seems, do come true. Jemez reacted to Alonso's substitution early by moving to three at the back and throwing on striker Joaquin Lavirrey, and his team had the better of the second half by a fair margin, only the elastic reactions of Lopez preventing Alberto Bueno from levelling matters on 65 minutes. http://markting10.nl/ Ancelotti has proven himself reluctant to similarly chance his arm so far in his Real Madrid tenure, but on Saturday he had little choice in his own changes. Fabio Coentrao landed awkwardly in the first half and although he came back on was unable to continue, Marcelo coming off the bench. Alvaro Arbeloa was introduced before Dani Carvajal got himself sent off -- which he should have been for challenge on Iago Falque that was worthy of a second caution -- and Illarramendi for Alonso was a natural switch made in light of the number 14's lack of game time this season. Still, Ancelotti's mantra for his side is to control the rhythm of games, keep the ball and remain composed at the back; Real failed to do any of these things as Rayo pressed for an equalizer. Youngster Adrian Embarba almost scored a minute after coming on and went close again shortly afterwards as Rayo camped out in Real's half. A couple of trademark breaks tested the home side's resolve, Ronaldo drawing a fine save from Ruben after Saul has almost capitalized on a defensive communication break down at the other end. Tito might have earned Rayo a well-deserved point with a glancing header as Real's defense again went to sleep in stoppage time, and there is little doubt that a draw would have been a fair result considering Rayo's refusal to be cowed by its illustrious opposition. http://markting10.nl/ For Ancelotti, the story of Real's season -- one that should be keeping him awake at night -- was replayed again on the turf of the Vallecas Stadium: his forwards can only keep the side's defensive frailty from being fatally exposed for so long. "Thinking that when you're winning 3-0 the game is over is a serious mistake. It's happened twice now, but I'm sure it won't happen a third time. The problems we had were because of their good pressure upfield. Defensively, the second half was a disaster,” the Real coach noted.

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Coentrao ruled out of Juventus clash The former Benfica star faces a spell on the sidelines after picking up an ankle injury in the win over Rayo Vallecano. Nov 4, 2013 Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti will be without Fabio Coentrao for his side's Champions League clash with Juventus after the left-back suffered an ankle problem. http://markting10.nl/ The Portugal international picked up the knock in Madrid's 3-2 Liga win over Rayo Vallecano and was forced to leave the pitch in the dying minutes of the first half of the encounter. The 25-year-old underwent further examination at the weekend to determine the extent of the injury and Madrid have now announced that Coentrao will be out of action for a while. http://markting10.nl/ "After tests carried out on Fabio Coentrao at the Sanitas La Moraleja Hospital, it has been confirmed that he has a sprained left ankle, which will continue to be monitored," a statement on the club's official website reads. Coentrao's absence means that Marcelo is likely to be reinstated at left-back for Tuesday's match in Turin after he was rested for the game against Rayo. http://markting10.nl/ Madrid currently sit atop of Group B with nine points from three games and will qualify for the knockout stages with a win over Juve.

Padoin: Juventus must keep winning to catch Roma Nov 4, 2013 Juventus midfielder Simone Padoin has admitted that the club can’t make any mistakes in Serie A if they want to catch up with Roma. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri currently have 28 points after Saturday’s 1-0 win over Parma, which is just three points behind the league leading Giallorossi, who’s 10 game winning streak was ended by Torino on Sunday with a 1-1 draw. Padoin spoke to Mediaset Premium before Juve’s eventual victory over Parma and was adamant that the club must continue doing well to put pressure on the Lupi. “Roma are travelling at a high pace,” said the 29-year-old. “Winning the first 10 matches is out of the ordinary. http://markting10.nl/ “Juventus don’t have the opportunity to make any mistakes, as we must put pressure on the Giallorossi. “If we want to aim for the title then we have to start winning as early as tonight.”

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Marchisio: 'Juve ready for Real' Nov 3, 2013 Claudio Marchisio believes Juventus have rediscovered their solidity just in time to face Real Madrid in a “red-hot atmosphere.” http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri have won three on the bounce in Serie A with clean sheets and host the Spaniards in the Champions League on Tuesday night. “Previously we gave very little away but conceded goals, now we’re not just keeping clean sheets; we’re also preventing our opponents from having shots on goal. It’s important,” said the midfielder in a Press conference. Juve were beaten 2-1 at the Bernabeu two weeks ago, but did well even after Giorgio Chiellini was harshly red carded. http://markting10.nl/ “Chiellini’s sending off changed the game, but even when down to ten we played an excellent game in terms of our attention and chances created. “We must do this again on Tuesday night, whilst being cautious of their threat on the counter through the likes of Angel Di Maria, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, who all break with extreme pace. “Real have plenty of strong players up front who sometimes help out less in defensive areas, thus putting their backline under pressure. We managed to defend well in Spain, enjoy possession and cause them problems. http://markting10.nl/ “Plus, in Turin, we’ll be able to count on the support of our fans, who will provide a red-hot atmosphere at the stadium. We haven’t had a great deal of time in which to prepare for the game, but encounters like these provide plenty of motivation by themselves.” Carlo Ancelotti is under pressure after some stuttering performances and Marchisio is not surprised. “It was the same with Jose Mourinho and other managers they’ve had. It’s just like it is here at Juventus, if you’re off top spot, even after two back-to-back titles, people talk about problems. http://markting10.nl/ “Real have great champions, can spend a great deal of money and are surrounded by huge expectations. “Ancelotti is an excellent manager who has done well wherever he’s been. I wish him all the best in Madrid, but only domestically, not in the Champions League…”

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) UCL Preview: Juventus v. Real Madrid Nov 3, 2013 Italian champions Juventus will host Real Madrid on Matchday 4 in the UEFA Champions League group stage on Tuesday, 5 November 2013. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri enter Tuesday’s clash in third-place in Group B, seven points behind leaders Madrid and two points adrift of second-placed Galatasaray, who are scheduled to face Danish giants F.C. København at Parken Stadium in midweek. A Cristiano Ronaldo double ensured Madrid all three points when these two sides met at the Bernabéu last month, but Antonio Conte’s side have since won three straight Serie A fixtures against Genoa, Catania and Parma, respectively. http://markting10.nl/ Team News Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini will miss Tuesday’s match after being sent off in the reverse fixture on 23 October, but Fabio Quagliarella (thigh) is available for selection after returning from injury against Parma at the weekend. Xabi Alonso (broken foot) could make his first Champions League start of 2013/14, having made his first competitive appearance of the season against Sevilla last week. Real Madrid do not have any new injury concerns, but Carlo Ancelotti will surely be worried about his side’s recent defensive record. Los Blancos have conceded five goals and given up four penalties in their last two La Liga matches (both wins). http://markting10.nl/ Manager Quotes Antonio Conte: ”I hope the Juventus Stadium is going to be a boiling cauldron on Tuesday night, so that the fans can push us to victory. “We have already shown in Madrid what we can do. “Madrid have been constructed to win their 10th European Cup, but we must not be afraid.” http://markting10.nl/ Carlo Ancelotti: “We need to change – we have to lose our superficiality. The second half was a disaster. “Against Sevilla, we were leading 3-0 but we allowed them to get back into contention. The same thing happened tonight and it’s not by coincidence. “We need to change and lose the superficiality we’re showing out on the pitch. You cannot let the other team back into a game you are winning when you have the quality Madrid has. http://markting10.nl/ “I will talk to the players in private, not here.
