Jan 11, 2011 According to a report on Tuttosport, experienced defender Andrea Barzagli is on the verge of leaving Bundesliga side Wolfsburg in the winter transfer window in order to return to Italy with Serie A giants Juventus. The 29-year-old defender has an expiring contract at Wolfsburg and is reluctant to sign a new deal with the Woelfe. Therefore, the German side are widely expected to cash in on Barzagli in the winter transfer window. However, Wolfsburg supposedly want to see whether Germany international Arne Friedrich is fully recovered from his back injury before offloading Barzagli.
