GIOVANNI MANNA Classe 1988, nato a Vallo della Lucania (Salerno), Manna è entrato a far parte della Juventus nel luglio del 2019, come responsabile della Primavera prima di assumere il ruolo di direttore sportivo della formazione Under 23. Manna ha lavorato a stretto contatto con Fabio Paratici e con Federico Cherubini, del quale prenderà il posto almeno momentaneamente. Sotto la sua guida la Juventus Next Gen è visibilmente cresciuta tanto da portare in Prima squadra parecchi giocatori: da Soulé a Miretti, passando per Iling Junior e Barrenechea. Un lavoro, quello di Manna, che è stato particolarmente apprezzato dalla proprietà e gli è valso la promozione. Editorial: Why Juventus shouldn’t sign Chelsea striker Lukaku Inter have pulled out of the race for Romelu Lukaku, giving Juventus free rein in negotiations, but picking up the Chelsea striker would not be a wise move, Apollo Heyes believes. The 30-year-old Belgian striker is currently in a strange spot after the Nerazzurri’s decision to give up on signing him. The only serious suitors remaining are Juventus – who cannot make a move until selling Dusan Vlahovic – and clubs from Saudi Arabia like Al-Hilal. A return to Chelsea seems incredibly unlikely for Lukaku. He has no interest in going back to West London and Mauricio Pochettino does not consider him a part of the project at the club going forward. It seems then that the Belgian striker’s only hope to stay in Europe is a bid from Juventus, who would first need to find someone willing to pay €75-80m for Vlahovic. The Blues are not interested in a swap deal. Whilst a move to Turin would suit Lukaku, the deal doesn’t appear to make too much sense for the Old Lady, who have spent the early stages of this summer desperately working to reduce their wage bill by trying to offload unneeded players like Arthur Melo, Denis Zakaria and Leonardo Bonucci. Nell'ottobre 1942 viene posto una prima volta in lista di trasferimento, per il prestito; nel 1942-1943 gioca in Serie C nella Sanremese e nel campionato 1943-1944 gioca nella Biellese. Al termine della Seconda guerra mondiale, nuovamente messo in lista dalla Juventus, si trasferisce al Cuneo, con cui disputa il campionato di Serie B-C Alta Italia 1945-1946. Nell'estate 1946 viene acquistato dal Piacenza, dove forma con Adelmo Toffanetti la coppia di terzini titolari: scende in campo 37 volte, realizzando una rete. Nella stagione successiva perde il posto a favore di Dante Ravani, e disputa 14 partite nel campionato che vede la formazione piacentina retrocedere in Serie C. Dopo la retrocessione resta inattivo per una stagione, e nel 1949 si trasferisce alla Reggina, sempre in Serie C: rimane sullo Stretto per tre annate, fino al 1952, collezionando in tutto 98 presenze e due reti in campionato.
