Daniele si è prima seduto sul letto e poi davanti ai figli si è messo in piedi dicendo con tono enfatico "Un piccolo passo per un uomo , un passo enorme per me". Dopo alcuni secondi si è poggiato sulle spalle dei figli e ha fatto due passi di numero uno avanti e uno dietro e si è steso di nuovo sul letto dicendo "dopo questa maratona dormirò un paio di giorni di fila". I figli erano entusiasti, tornando Matteo raccontava al telefono ai nonni che papà sembrava quasi una persona normale. Gli ha portato i Vostri scritti, glie li ha letti e lui gli ha dettato queste poche parole da scriverVi: "Cari amici, nei giorni passati ho sentito chiaramente la Vostra vicinanza.Se dicessi che in ogni momento di ogni singola giornata ho sentito il Vostro affetto e le Vostre preghiere accanto a me sembrerebbe una frase fatta ma Vi assicuro che è così. Ora che sto meglio, che forse sono fuori dal tunnel, ho chiesto a Nostro Signore di dirottare le Vostre preghiere verso chi soffre da solo, con più dignità di me. Io mi sento fortunato, l'amore dei miei cari e il Vostro affetto mi hanno accompagnato fuori dal buio. Mandate un pensiero a tutti quelli che soffrono e non hanno la mia fortuna. Vi ringrazio tutti.
