Juventus player ratings v Fiorentina – One player stands out Starting XI Michele Di Gregorio – 6.5 ............ Nicolo Savona – 6.0 A tough outing for Savona, who struggled to contribute offensively and left too much space for Fiorentina to exploit down his flank. Federico Gatti – 6.0 He showed his usual enthusiasm to push forward but needs to improve his leadership at the back to help protect a lead. Pierre Kalulu – 6.5 Arguably Juventus’ best defender on the night, but his performance fell short of ensuring the team kept a clean sheet. Weston McKennie – 6.0 ............ Teun Koopmeiners – 7.5 A decent performer, Koopmeiners was instrumental in Juve’s attacking play and involved in key moments that led to the goals. Manuel Locatelli – 7.5 Juve’s most consistent midfielder all season delivered another strong performance. His absence in the next game will be sorely felt. Khephren Thuram – 8.5A sensational display from Thuram, who netted both goals and was a constant threat to Fiorentina’s defence. His stock continues to rise. Samuel Mbangula – 6.5 ............ Dusan Vlahovic – 6.0 The Fiorentina defence had him figured out, making it a frustrating game for the striker despite his best efforts to score. Francisco Conceição – 7.5 An exciting player to watch, Conceição repeatedly tested Fiorentina’s defence with his direct dribbling and flair. Substitutes Andrea Cambiaso – 4.5 Tasked with shoring up the defence, Cambiaso instead made a costly mistake that allowed Fiorentina to equalise. Kenan Yildiz – 6.0 He couldn’t replicate his heroics from the Inter Milan game but still showed flashes of his talent after coming on. Nicolas Gonzalez – N/A ............ Douglas Luiz – N/A ............ Nicolo Fagioli – N/A ............ . Read more -> https://www.juvefc.com/juventus-player-ratings-v-fiorentina-one-player-stands-out/

Thiago Motta identifies what Juventus lacked in 2-2 draw against Fiorentina Thiago Motta insists Juventus had to be more clinical and score the third goal against Fiorentina: ‘I don’t believe in bad luck.’ Juventus were held to a 2-2 draw by Fiorentina at the Allianz Stadium in Turin on Sunday. The Bianconeri remain unbeaten in Serie A this season, but they have now collected 11 draws. ............ “We always tried to attack to score the third goal. We had to score the third to kill off the game, but we left them the chance to remain in the game,” he said. ............ “I would not focus on that [defensive errors]. We had a few more days to rest, so there was energy, but we didn’t kill off the game. We had to manage the game differently. We conceded too much at the back, but they are a quality team. Ultimately, the result counts, and we could not score an extra goal. “We had many good moments today, and we would have deserved to score the third goal. This is what we lacked today,” continued the former midfielder. “We managed the defensive phase well in other games, including against Manchester City. Today we had to score the third to kill off the game. ............ During a post-match press conference, Motta added: “I don’t believe in bad luck. We should have killed off the game and don’t leave a chance to the opponent. I don’t believe in bad luck. I believe in merit.” Juventus are now off to Saudi Arabia, where they will meet Milan in the Supercoppa semifinal on January 3. ............ . Motta walking dangerously close to Allegri’s footsteps as Juventus ‘slip’ again Out with the old, in with the new. This was the mantra that Juventus vigorously promoted last summer. And yet, aside from a set of new faces between the pitch and the dugout, and the lack of outbursts that involve throwing jackests to the ground and grabbing journalists by the throat, one would struggle to spot the difference between the old and what has been deemed as the ‘new’. First of all, judging Thiago Motta at this stage of this season remains blasphemously premature. After all, the young tactician is still adjusting to life in Turin, while the injury crisis surely hasn’t made matters any easier. Moreover, the lack of experience within his ranks has been painfully obvious, to say the least. ............ This season, it feels as if the Bianconeri are automatically set to retreat to their areas whenever they take the lead, regardless of the timing or the size of the opposition. We even saw this lacklustre approach against bottom-of-the-table Monza and Lecce, even though it has backfired more often than not. Nevertheless, Juventus fans aren’t unfamiliar with this ultra-cautious method. In fact, this was one of the main reasons why the largest part of the fanbase was demanding Max Allegri’s head by the middle of his chaotic second reign. ............ On the other hand, Motta simply wasn’t born for this approach, and yet, it seems as if Allegri’s spirit is still haunting the walls of Continassa, luring his successor into unfamiliar territory. And once again, the young tactician has been reminded of the dangers of toying with a one-goal lead when he doesn’t have Giorgio Chiellini and his comrades marshalling the backline, as all that it takes is one little slip – more often figurative but occasionally literal – to burn more points to ashes and leave the club trailing in the miserable 6th place while trying to mask its sorrows with what has to be the most hollow, unimpressive undefeated run in football history. ............ . Everton want Arthur but he says no because of one big reason Arthur Melo has emerged as a target for several clubs ahead of the January transfer window, with Everton reportedly showing significant interest in signing the Brazilian midfielder. ............ Everton’s interest comes as no surprise, given their struggles in midfield this season and their need to strengthen the squad to avoid the threat of relegation. The Premier League side reportedly sees Arthur as a player who can bring experience and technical quality to their midfield. However, despite Everton’s declared intent to secure his signature, Arthur appears unwilling to consider a move to Goodison Park. Arthur’s loyalty to Liverpool, where he spent a loan spell last season, is the primary reason he has dismissed the idea of joining Everton. While his stint at Liverpool was brief and injury-plagued, the midfielder reportedly holds the club in high regard and does not wish to play for their city rivals. This stance complicates matters for Juventus, who are eager to find a new home for the 28-year-old to reduce their financial burden and focus on players who can contribute meaningfully to the team. ............ Arthur’s situation underscores the complexities of the January transfer market, where both clubs and players face competing priorities. While Juventus is determined to offload him, the midfielder is equally keen to choose a club where he can revive his career without compromising his personal loyalties. It remains to be seen which club will step forward with an offer that satisfies all parties involved. ............ . Una frase che mi lascia perplesso. Dice di non avere fede ma crede che quando morirá, la sua anima andrá in un luogo dove potrá fare domande. Chi non ha fede crede che dopo la morte non ci sia niente. Ulivieri ha le idee un pó confuse.

Juventus vs Fiorentina interrupted as Vlahovic targeted by racist chants Sunday’s Serie A game between Juventus and Fiorentina was interrupted for two minutes due to racist chants directed at the Old Lady’s striker, Dusan Vlahovic. Referee Maurizio Mariani was forced to interrupt a Serie A match between Juventus and Fiorentina at the Allianz Stadium because racist chants from the away end targeted ex-Viola forward Vlahovic. Play was halted at minute 7 after loud chants targeting Vlahovic were heard in the stadium. The Juventus forward was called ‘gipsy’ by Fiorentina supporters in the away end. ............ The stadium announcer urged fans to stop the racist chants. Insults continued, but without racist remarks, as the Juventus striker was branded a ‘piece of s***’ by Fiorentina fans. ............ . Conceiçao: ‘My future? I am happy here at Juventus’ Chico Conceição has established himself as a key player for the Bianconeri since joining on loan from Porto, with Juventus already indicating their intention to make the move permanent for a fee of 30 million euros. In a pre-match interview, Conceição shared his thoughts on his future at Juventus, stating, “Jorge (Mendes, my agent) and the club are thinking about it. Anything can happen; I am happy here.” ............ Juventus’ technical area chief, Cristiano Giuntoli, previously acknowledged Conceição’s potential impact on the team, stating, “Is there a possibility he will stay? 100%.” These comments reflect the club’s commitment to integrating Conceição into their long-term plans. ............ . Same old Juventus draw again after conceding late against Fiorentina Juventus played out a 2-2 draw against Fiorentina this evening after conceding a late equaliser from Riccardo Sottil. Fiorentina has had a good season and showed great form at the start of the game. However, Juve demonstrated why they remain unbeaten this term, with Khephren Thuram opening the scoring after 20 minutes. The Old Lady deserved that lead, having enjoyed a dominant spell of possession up to that point. ............ Thuram had an impressive game, while Francisco Conceição continued to trouble La Viola’s defence throughout the fixture. However, against the run of play, Fiorentina drew level, with Moise Kean finding the net on his return to Turin. Just three minutes later, Dusan Vlahović had an opportunity to restore Juve’s lead, but David de Gea pulled off a stunning save to deny him. Almost immediately after the break, Juve regained the lead through Thuram, who staked his claim for Man of the Match with his second goal of the evening. ............ After making a few changes, Thiago Motta’s team conceded a late leveller from Riccardo Sottil following a shocking mistake by Andrea Cambiaso. Despite their efforts, Juventus couldn’t find another goal to clinch the win. . Read more -> https://www.juvefc.com/same-old-juventus-draw-again-after-conceding-late-against-fiorentina/

Juventus vs. Fiorentina match preview We have seen a lot of quirky things to happen Juventus because of all the draws that have happened over the course of the first 17 games of this Serie A season. One of the most notable besides all of the dropped points is the simple fact that back-to-back wins just haven’t been all that plentiful. And, as a result, no winning streaks of a decent length that could see Thiago Motta’s squad try and cut the deficit between themselves and those at the top of the league table. ............ And certainly the kind of winning streak that Thiago Motta would love to see his team potentially go on as they go into 2025. Yet, with all of those draws that Motta’s squad have recorded through the first 17 games of the 2024-25 season, Fiorentina and Juventus enter Sunday night’s matchup level on 31 points in fifth and sixth, respectively, with La Viola — who have a game in hand — and their better goal difference being what has them ahead of their Turin rivals. ............ Unsurprisingly, Motta was not falling into the trap of Fiorentina’s back-to-back losses. “Although they were unsuccessful in the last two matches, they still come into the game off the back of a series of important victories,” Motta said during Saturday’s pre-match press conference. “It will be fundamental for us to put in a balanced performance at a high intensity, whilst maintaining our concentration throughout,” Motta said. So, basically, much more of what we saw from Juventus in the first half against Monza — other than the total lapse at the back that led to a goal being scored — rather than the hang-on-for-dear-life second 45 minutes that saw Motta’s defense bending as much as it could without breaking. They’ve had a week off and solely focus on training rather than playing midweek thanks to Christmas, so a defense that looked tired as things went on against Monza hopefully got some much-needed rest. You just hope that all of it adds up to Juventus getting one last victory at home in 2024. They’ve certainly been in sixth place long enough — even before the November international break arrive — and a win over Fiorentina could finally see Motta’s squad move up in the standings for the first time in just about two months. Or it could just end the same way that the last three meetings these two teams has gone — a 1-0 win to Juventus. That would see Juventus win back-to-back games for a third time this season and send them into 2025 with at least a little bit of moment after so many draws. TEAM NEWS Surprisingly, considering how the last handful of weeks have been, there’s actually some good injury news. Three players who might have been question marks in the middle of the week — Douglas Luiz, Teun Koopmeiners and González — will all be available, Motta said during his pre-match press conference. ............ That means Juventus’ injury list is now down to five players: Gleison Bremer, Juan Cabal, Arek Milik, Timothy Weah and Jonas Rouhi. Weah is trying to work his way back in time for next week’s Italian Super Cup in Saudi Arabia. Considering the season Douglas Luiz has had to date, there is already plenty of criticism coming Juve’s way for the deal for the former Aston Villa midfielder. However, Motta backed the 26-year-old Brazilian, saying “I hope and believe a lot in him. ... He can do everything and has shown he’s a complete midfielder at a high level.” A pair of Juventus midfielders, Manuel Locatelli and Nicolo Fagioli, are one yellow card away from reaching their limit and having to serve a one-game suspension. JUVENTUS PLAYER TO WATCH We know about the relatively one-way transfer business that has involved Juventus and Fiorentina for much of the last decade. A lot of money has gone to Florence, and in return La Viola’s best players have made their eay to Turin. Two of them, both with the same first name as the other, are now playing their football else where. But the two most recent ones will be likely be key components to what Motta is going to try and do when facing Fiorentina on Sunday night at the Allianz. This weekend, Nico González will be facing the club that brought him to Italy for the first time since his summer move to Turin. Like Michele Di Gregorio this past weekend, it will be an emotional day for a player who was very much at the heart of Fiorentina’s success the last couple of years under then-manager Vincenzo Italiano. ............ Having González back in the fold gives Motta options. He can play centrally and drop Koopmeiners deeper, or it could mean somebody like Francisco Conceição can be an option off the bench to cause havoc against a tired defense or vice versa. This is what the vision was when the flurry of deals in the final couple of weeks of the summer transfer window took place — and finally Motta has just about everybody outside of Weah available to him. So, no matter if he’s in the starting lineup or one of the first options Motta turns to off the bench Sunday night, González getting a crack at his former club for the first time will certainly be must-see TV. And if his recent trend of scoring goals when he steps onto the field continues, that will be a good thing, too. MATCH INFO When: Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024. Where: Allianz Stadium, Turin, Italy. Journalist says Juventus need a mini revolution next month Juventus will have a second opportunity to strengthen their squad when the January transfer window opens next month. The Bianconeri have faced a challenging season so far, losing some key players to injury and transfers, and there is now a pressing need to replace them. The club might also look to offload some of their current options in an attempt to balance the squad and finances. ............ As 2024 comes to a close, Paolo Paganini, a well-respected football commentator, shared his expectations for Juventus’ transfer activity in the upcoming window. He said: “With Danilo’s farewell, Juventus will necessarily have to expand the market. Two defenders, a striker, and a midfielder if Fagioli leaves. A mini-revolution, in short.” ............ The Bianconeri will need to be active in the market to bring in players who can make an immediate impact. While signing top-tier players next month may prove challenging, Juventus has the financial resources to make strategic moves if they are willing to make funds available. With the right investments, the club can bring in quality stars who can improve their chances of success for the remainder of the season. ............ . Juventus and Real Betis hit disagreement over Arthur Melo loan Juventus and Real Betis have hit an impasse in their negotiations over Arthur Melo, with talks stalling due to differences in the terms of the loan agreement. The Brazilian midfielder has not featured in any competitive matches this season, having been made surplus to requirements by the Bianconeri. After failing to secure a move earlier in the year, Arthur is eager to find a new club for the second half of the campaign, and Real Betis has emerged as a potential destination. ............ The main point of contention is the structure of the loan deal. Juventus is reportedly seeking to include an option or an obligation for Betis to make the move permanent at the end of the season. However, Betis is not keen on adding such a clause to the agreement. The Spanish club is only interested in a simple six-month loan with no commitment beyond the current season. Additionally, Betis is willing to cover the entirety of Arthur’s salary during his loan spell, which could help Juventus alleviate some of their wage burden. Despite this, the Bianconeri must now decide whether to accept Betis’ terms or hold out for a more favourable deal. ............ . Pavan discourages Juventus from selling Danilo in January Juventus has reportedly opened the door for Danilo to leave in the January transfer window, a decision that has left journalist Massimo Pavan surprised. The Brazilian defender, who is also the club’s captain, did not start the season as a first-choice option but has since regained relevance following a series of injuries in Juve’s defensive ranks. ............ Interest in Danilo has been steady over the last few months, with Napoli and several clubs from Saudi Arabia expressing a desire to sign him. Despite this, Juventus had previously maintained that the 33-year-old was not available for transfer. The sudden shift in their approach is reportedly driven by the desire to generate funds from his sale while they still can. ............ Pavan reacted to the news with surprise, especially considering Juventus’ ongoing involvement in the Champions League. Pavan said: “I would be surprised by Danilo’s transfer, having two Champions League games to play. It would be a slightly risky choice with few replacements in defence. It would be better after the two European games, if anything.” Danilo’s leadership and experience have been crucial for Juventus, and losing him mid-season could prove costly. ............ The club must weigh the financial benefits of selling Danilo against the risks of destabilising the squad. A new signing would need time to adapt to Juventus’ system and build chemistry with teammates, a challenge that could impact the team’s performance in crucial games. ............ . Motta: Possession is not the only key to winning for Juventus Ahead of their home game against Fiorentina, Motta expressed that Juventus may have to adjust their tactics to compete with Raffaele Palladino’s squad. After four consecutive draws in Serie A, Juventus secured their first win against Monza before the Christmas break. Ahead of their home game against Fiorentina this Sunday, Juve manager Thiago Motta expressed his desire for the club to continue their winning form this weekend, albeit against a much tougher opponent than seven days ago. ............ “Our sole focus is on Fiorentina. We will face a strong team, with a very knowledgeable coach who has always done a great job,” Motta said during Saturday’s press conference regarding the challenge of facing a team like La Viola. “Fiorentina have quality players and are excellently organised. Although they were unsuccessful in the last two matches, they still come into the game off the back of a series of important victories. It will be fundamental for us to put in a balanced performance at a high intensity, whilst maintaining our concentration throughout.” ............ “I don’t think possession is the only key to winning. Many other things count, like intensity and balance.” According to Motta, “against Manchester City we showed that you can win in different ways. With Fiorentina we will have to be careful, they are dangerous in transition.” ............ “The players are doing well,” Motta said. “Douglas Luiz, Nico Gonzalez, Danilo and Teun Koopmeiners are all back with the squad. Nico Gonzalez trained separately due to a fatigue, but he did well today.” ............ “I hope and believe a lot in Douglas Luiz. He has been out for a long time,” Motta Said. “(Although) he certainly doesn’t have the physical level of some of his teammates. He can do everything and has shown he’s a complete midfielder at a high level.” . Serie A Preview: Juventus vs Fiorentina – Team News, Line-ups & Prediction Sunday’s high-stakes Serie A encounter between Juventus and Fiorentina could shape both sides’ aspirations for UEFA Champions League qualification next season. There’s nothing but goal difference to separate the clubs before the kick-off, with both seeking a way into the top four. Weston McKennie and Nicolas Gonzalez were on the scoresheet as Juventus squeezed past rock-bottom Monza 2-1 last weekend. That was their 13th consecutive unbeaten game in all competitions. More importantly, it maintained Thiago Motta’s unbeaten league record in charge. Despite being the only team alongside Paris Saint-Germain yet to lose a top-flight fixture across Europe’s top-five league this season, Juventus’ notorious inability to turn draws into victories could cost them dearly. Indeed, they languish three points adrift of fourth-placed Lazio pre-round, with nine standing between them and pacesetters Atalanta. ............ Match Preview Juventus Motta must find a way to get Juventus into the win column more often. That particularly rings true when factoring in the Turin giants’ habit of sharing the spoils at the Allianz Stadium. Six of their nine home league outings have ended all square, including three of the last four, making them Europe’s uncontested ‘stalemate specialists.’ However, there’s a silver lining. Juventus have squeaked past Fiorentina 1-0 in their last three league meetings at home. Motta must be optimistic about posting another shutout, knowing his men leading the division’s clean-sheet charts with ten, one of which came in their last four home league matches. Indeed, three of those four games yielded an identical 2-2 scoreline, with the equalizing goal coming in second-half stoppages twice. A less eye-pleasing affair is on the cards as Juventus’ last nine top-flight clashes against Fiorentina have featured under 2.5 goals, highlighting the potential for a low-scoring showdown. Fiorentina ............ Team News Juventus head into their last Serie A match of 2024 severely weakened by injuries. Gleison Bremer, Juan Cabal, Arkadiusz Milik, Douglas Luiz, and Tim Weah aren’t at Motta’s disposal. Motta has put long-serving captain Danilo up for sale, meaning he’ll likely stay out of the squad. As for Fiorentina, Marin Pongracic is the only doubt. Edoardo Bove is recovering from a cardiac arrest, but his career in Serie A is over. The same goes for Cristiano Biraghi’s time in Florence after Palladino sidelined him from the team amid growing exit speculation. Juventus vs Fiorentina Potential Starting Line-ups Juventus (4-2-3-1): Di Gregorio; Savona, Kalulu, Gatti, Cambiaso; Locatelli, Thuram; Conceicao, Gonzalez, Yildiz; Vlahovic. Fiorentina (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Dodo, Comuzzo, Ranieri, Gosens; Adli, Cataldi; Colpani, Gudmundsson, Sottil; Kean. Juventus vs Fiorentina Prediction As aforementioned, this match-up has all the makings of a tepid affair. Therefore, there’s a feeling that whoever draws first blood would likely take home all three points. Fioreinta’s recent decline could be the ultimate confidence booster for Juventus as we back the hosts to claim a precious win. Prediction: Juventus to Win . Juventus vs Fiorentina: Match Preview Juventus and Fiorentina are set to clash in a pivotal Serie A match on Sunday evening at the Allianz Stadium in Turin. Both teams are currently level on points, with Juventus in sixth place and Fiorentina just above them in fifth. This encounter is crucial for both sides as they strive to maintain their positions in the race for the Scudetto. Juventus come into this match with a mixed bag of results. After a frustrating run of draws, they managed to secure a victory against Monza just before Christmas, winning 2-1. This win ended a streak of four consecutive draws in Serie A, providing a much-needed boost to their confidence. The Bianconeri have struggled throughout 2024, recording an unusual number of draws—20 in total—which is a record for the club. However, they have been strong at home, losing only once this season. ............ Historically, Juventus have had the upper hand over Fiorentina, winning 29 out of their last 52 encounters. They have also been dominant at home, having won 12 of their last 13 Serie A matches against Fiorentina at the Allianz Stadium. The last time Fiorentina triumphed away against Juventus was in December 2020, which adds to the psychological edge for the hosts. Juventus are likely to adopt a cautious approach, focusing on solidifying their defence while looking for opportunities to counterattack. With players like Nico Gonzalez and Vlahovic in attack, they have the potential to exploit any defensive lapses from Fiorentina. ............ Team News In terms of squad availability, Juventus are facing significant injury challenges. Key players such as Arkadiusz Milik, Bremer, and Douglas Luiz are sidelined, which may force coach Thiago Motta to stick with a familiar lineup. Dusan Vlahovic will lead the attack against his former club, looking to break his goal drought against the Viola. ............ Expected Starting XIs Juventus: Di Gregorio; Savona, Kalulu, Gatti, Cambiaso; Locatelli, Thuram; Conceicao, Gonzalez, Yildiz; Vlahovic Fiorentina: De Gea; Dodo, Comuzzo, Ranieri, Gosens; Adli, Cataldi; Colpani, Gudmundsson, Sottil; Kean Match Prediction Given Juventus’s home advantage and historical dominance over Fiorentina, the prediction leans towards a narrow victory for the Bianconeri. A scoreline of 1-0 seems plausible as both teams are expected to play cautiously, with Juventus aiming to secure all three points while Fiorentina seeks redemption after recent setbacks. Prediction: Juventus 1-0 Fiorentina . Read more -> https://www.footitalia.com/serie-a-juventus-v-fiorentina-match-preview/

Juventus vs Fiorentina: Preview and Prediction Juventus fans will have been relieved at watching their team take three points and break the frustrating trend of drawing games ahead of the visit of Fiorentina. The Bianconeri entered last weekend’s clash away at AC Monza at the back of four consecutive stalemates, which had effectively disrupted their chances of a title challenge. The fans will be hoping for consecutive wins now that there is some momentum with these players, although the Bianconeri have to host a formidable-looking Fiorentina side. Juventus have a one-sided record against the Viola in at least the last 12 league meetings, which does make them slight favourites. The pressure will be on Thiago Motta to show some resilience and poise to help steer the team back into title contention. So far, they are on 31 points after 17 rounds, with a nine-point gap separating them from leaders Atalanta. Juventus also host a Fiorentina side slightly above them on the table with the same number of points, and Motta will want to go above the Florence side at the end of the weekend. ............ Team News & Tactics Juventus Thiago Motta will be without a few of his key first-team stars, such as long-term absentees Gleison Bremer, Arkadiusz Milik, and Juan Cabal. Timothy Weah, Jonas Rouhi, and Douglas Luiz are also part of the treatment room for now, which will cause the manager some selection headaches. The biggest issue so far is a stable defensive setup, as the many injuries in the defensive department have seen the manager shuffle things quite consistently. In fact, there are chances that. Ottawa might name a near-identical starting lineup that beat Monza in the previous matchday. The only possible change here could see Andrea Cambiaso return to the lineup in place of makeshift left-back Weston McKennie. However, America’s goalscoring contribution might see him retain his place in the lineup. There are a few former Fiorentina players, and at the current moment, Nico Gonzalez is the man in question, as the fans will hope to see the best out of him against his former side. There is also Dusan Vlahovic, who has yet to find the net against Fiorentina since leaving them to join Juventus, as he has left the game with a blank on four occasions since his move to Turin. Probable Lineup (4-2-3-1): Di Gregorio; Savona, Gatti, Kalulu, McKennie; Locatelli, Koopmeiners; Conceicao, Gonzalez, Yildiz; Vlahovic Fiorentina ............ Probable Lineup (4-2-3-1): de Gea; Dodo, Comuzzo, Ranieri, Gosens; Cataldi, Adli; Colpani, Gudmundsson, Sottil; Kean Key Stats Juventus have managed to draw 20 Serie A games in 2024. Juventus are undefeated in their last 25 matches in Serie A. Juventus have won 10 of their last 11 home matches against Fiorentina in all competitions. Fiorentina have lost their last two Serie A games. Player to Watch Moise Kean Dusan Vlahovic will take all the headlines ahead of another game against former side Fiorentina, but this time around, it is a former Juventus striker who could have a point to prove. Moise Kean returns to his old stomping grounds with something to prove to his previous employers, as he will want to help his current side, Fiorentina, in a big way. ............ Prediction Juventus 1-1 Fiorentina There is a lot at stake in this match, as the winner could get a chance to stay in the relevant distance with the top order, while the loser could find it very hard going forward to climb back up. In any case, the onus will be on Juventus to perform on home soil, and they will have some bit of momentum following their win over Monza. Fiorentina might come into this clash on the back of consecutive league defeats, but the team are set to gather themselves for a fighting comeback. They have the squad to mount a challenge on Juventus away from home, but this game has all the hallmarks of an eventful draw. . Tacchinardi discusses how many players Juventus needs to sign in January Juventus is expected to be one of the busiest clubs in the January transfer window as they aim to strengthen their squad and finish the season on a high note. The Bianconeri have faced a challenging first half of the campaign, remaining unbeaten in Serie A but needing more victories to truly compete for the league title. To address their shortcomings, Juventus plans to reinforce key areas in the squad when the transfer window opens. ............ While speculation surrounds the names Juve might add to their roster, former club star Alessio Tacchinardi has weighed in on what the team truly needs before the window closes. Tacchinardi offered his perspective on the areas requiring urgent attention. He stated, “How many defenders do we need? At least two. We’re expecting a difficult January. Giuntoli must make the difference. For me, the Douglas Luiz situation needs to be monitored. If he’s not at his best, if I believe in you, I’ll ask you to come even with just one leg. I haven’t seen much chemistry with Danilo either. With them and their relationship with Motta, something doesn’t add up. I don’t know if it’s nerves or if something happened. If Danilo leaves, Juve needs a player right away. Not like Koop who arrived at the last minute. We need 2 slash 3 players.” ............ With all eyes on sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, Juventus fans remain confident that decisive moves will be made. Everyone involved in decision-making at the Allianz Stadium is aware of the importance of bolstering the squad next month. Whether it’s the defence or other positions, new signings are essential if Juve is to compete for silverware in the latter half of the season. . Juventus is trying to lower Hancko’s asking price with a swap deal Juventus is eager to secure the signing of David Hancko during the January transfer window as part of their plan to strengthen their defence for the second half of the season. The Bianconeri are looking to address vulnerabilities at the back and see Hancko as a versatile option who could significantly enhance their squad. The 27-year-old defender, currently at Feyenoord, is particularly appealing to Juventus due to his ability to play in multiple positions. A left-footed player, Hancko can operate as a centre-back or as a left-back, offering tactical flexibility to manager Thiago Motta. This versatility makes him a highly attractive prospect, as it would provide the team with greater depth and options in crucial defensive areas. ............ Feyenoord is reportedly demanding a substantial fee for the Slovakian international, which could complicate negotiations. To reduce the financial burden of the transfer, Juventus is exploring creative solutions. The club plans to include Facundo Gonzalez and Samuel Mbangula in the deal as permanent transfers. Both players are talented prospects, and their inclusion in the offer could help sweeten the deal for Feyenoord. ............ Hancko himself is reportedly open to joining a top European club like Juventus, and the Italian giants are optimistic that Feyenoord will accept their proposal. The defender’s experience, composure, and tactical intelligence make him an ideal target for Juventus, especially as they look to solidify their defensive ranks in pursuit of silverware. ............ . Juventus 'reject Marcus Rashford transfer' with Old Lady 'more interested' in Red Devils teammate Rashford has been left out of Man United's last four matchday squads and is widely expected to leave Old Trafford in January, with the England international recently expressing a desire to seek pastures new. According to The Sun, Juventus were recently contacted to discuss Rashford, but the Turin giants made it clear that they would not be interested in signing the Red Devils academy product at this moment in time. However, the report claims that Juventus are keen on Zirkzee, with the Netherlands international also being heavily linked with a departure ahead of the winter transfer window. Zirkzee has scored just four times in 26 appearances for Man United this term and could return to Serie A in 2025, with Inter Milan and Napoli also believed to be interested in the ex-Bologna forward. ............ Zirkzee is currently involved for Man United, and despite his struggles, it would be a surprise to see the Dutchman leave in the winter window due to the team's lack of options in that area of the field. Indeed, unless a replacement can be signed, which will be very difficult in the January market, then Zirkzee is likely to complete the season at Old Trafford before his future is discussed. ............ .
