JUVENTUS - FROSINONE 1 - 1 Simone Zaza (50') Leonardo Blanchard (92') MATCHDAY 5 Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee: Angelo Cervellera Juventus need simplicity and intelligence from young attackers http://www.espnfc.co.uk/club/juventus/111/blog/post/2629023/juventus-need-simplicity-and-intelligence-from-young-players? Sep 24, 2015 Equalising in the last moments of the game, Frosinone, a team that has never played in Serie A before this season and had lost every single match thus far, grabbed their first point of the season, in the Juventus Stadium against last season's European finalists. It goes from bad to worse for the Bianconeri, who played a game in which they created an abundance of chances yet only managed to convert one. The talent is there, but sadly the experience and grit that once defined them is missing. There is so much skill on show, yet so many bizarre choices being made on a pitch that was once ruled by champions and veterans of experience. Staying loyal to the 4-3-3 formation, Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri once again opted to bench Paulo Dybala, preferring to hand Simone Zaza the opportunity to start. Flanked by Juan Cuadrado and a spectacular Roberto Pereyra, Juventus created a multitude of goalscoring opportunities as they controlled possession and poured forward. However, they barely made Nicola Leali, the Frosinone goalkeeper on loan from the Old Lady, make a genuine save. Sadly this game brings up bad memories. Juventus, even under the great authority of Antonio Conte, have often struggled to finish their many opportunities. Time and time again the Champions League tie against Nordsjaelland is recalled, in which the Bianconeri had 33 shots on goal but only nine were on target and only one was converted. Now, the stats are even worse. Against the bottom-placed team in the league, Juventus managed 36 shots on goal, but only seven were on target and only one was scored. Frosinone had only one shot on target and they managed a point. One can talk about disjointed patterns of play, of the gaps left at the back that a better team would have exploited and of the mismanagement of a game, but in truth, Juventus miss an experienced world class striker -- an intelligent player capable of making the difference up front. In the last four years durich which Juventus dominated the league, only Carlos Tevez brought the scoring joy the team deserved, concluding the many wonderful opportunities created. Even then, it took him a full year in a Bianconeri jersey before he learnt how to make the difference for the team in Europe as well as the league, dispatching beauties on a consistent basis to bring out the best of the well-assembled squad. It takes quality up front to finish and even then it takes time to settle in. At this moment in time, it's clear Juventus are brimming with talent. Zaza works immensely hard and has wonderful strength, Cuadrado moves between the lines with such ease, while his ability to get past defenders is impressive and Dybala, simply put, is pure talent. However, barring Pereyra, all three forwards who played at some point in the game made poor decisions. Zaza with all his determination and motivation never seems to know how to control the situation. Attempting the ludicrous when a simple solution works best, he couldn't finish the opportunities presented to him, trying too hard to be a hero when a simple well-placed header would have sufficed. Cuadrado works hard and always looks for the ball, but he must learn how to use his pace and acceleration better in conjunction with the team. Holding onto the ball until he's faced with four opponents is simply inviting pressure, when a quick release and intelligent movement would result in better opportunities. It's difficult to criticise a player who has made the difference in both phases of the game every time he has graced the pitch in a black and white jersey, but it's clear Cuadrado is a little raw on occasion and in time will better learn how to control the situation. The same can be said of Paul Pogba, who still has much to learn, especially when it comes to control. This is a player who cannot understand how to play in a balanced manner and is overly controlled by his emotions. If he could simply learn to trust himself and act a little cooly, as opposed to trying to do everything at once, both he and the team would greatly benefit. Only Pereyra seemed to have the skill and intelligence required to actually scare the opponent and create valid opportunities in the final third. A player who continues to develop and marvel, his clever runs and understanding of the game are making the difference. He is one of the few who knows when to accelerate, where to run and when to shoot. A collection of fine players worth millions of euros, Juventus are a beautiful team of talented individuals and young potential, but right now they are all too raw to make the difference and there's little the experienced defenders behind them can do in order to help them better control these matches. Now more than ever, Allegri needs Sami Khedira's experience and Claudio Marchisio's leadership to settle a ship full of eager workers with a hero complex. Flair and excellence can lead players to the big clubs, but simplicity and intelligence keeps them there. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/tables/serie-a/13?ICID=SP_TN_127

JUVENTUS - FROSINONE 1 - 1 Simone Zaza (50') Leonardo Blanchard (92') MATCHDAY 5 Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee: Angelo Cervellera Allegri: Frosinone punished naive Juventus The Bianconeri boss says that some of his new players have not yet learned what it means to play for a big club, resulting in inconsistent performances. http://www.goal.com/en/news/723/serie-a/2015/09/24/15678992/-? Sep 24, 2015 Massimiliano Allegri has admitted that his young Juventus side are naive and currently capable of both "beating anyone and losing to anyone". The Bianconeri defeated Manchester City in the Champions League last week and claimed their first victory of the new Serie A season with a 2-0 triumph at Genoa on Sunday. However, despite taking the lead against newly promoted Frosinone on Wednesday, in what was supposed to be a straightforward assignment for the Italian champions, they were forced to settle for a draw, with Leonardo Blanchard netting an injury-time equaliser to earn the visitors their first ever point in the Italian top flight. With Inter having maintained their 100 per cent record with a 1-0 win over Verona on the same evening, Juve are now 10 points behind the leaders after just five rounds of action. Allegri, though, is pleading for patience, given the Bianconeri brought in several new players during the summer to offset the loss of key men such as Carlos Tevez, Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal. "Am I angry? No, just disappointed," Allegri told Mediaset Premium after the draw with Frosinone in Turin. "At the end, it was only right we conceded on a corner because we didn't control the situation and shouldn't have given them the chance to equalise. "It was a mistake to allow Frosinone a corner in the last minute of the game. We tried to do something fancy when we could've just controlled the ball. "We are paying for this situation with many points in the table now. We have many young players who are unaccustomed to being in a big club and they will learn from these errors. "Unfortunately, at the moment that’s who we are – we're capable of beating anyone and losing to anyone." http://www.goal.com/en-gb/tables/serie-a/13?ICID=SP_TN_127

JUVENTUS - FROSINONE 1 - 1 Simone Zaza (50') Leonardo Blanchard (92') MATCHDAY 5 Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee: Angelo Cervellera Allegri angry, says swift improvement needed Juve boss is not happy. http://www.blackwhitereadallover.com/2015/9/24/9388889/allegri-swift-improvement-needed-juventus-frosinone-postmatch-comments Sep 23, 2015 There are some pretty angry fans out there today after yet another debacle in the once-fortress known as Juventus Stadium, that is quickly becoming known for its hospitality to visiting teams. It is unbelievable that we are almost into October, autumn is officially here and the Bianconeri are still looking for their first home win! Speaking to the media after the game, manager Massimiliano Allegri said - "I'm angry because we must improve quickly. At this moment we're shipping goals from the first opportunity that falls our opponents' way, you simply cannot concede from a corner with two minutes remaining. "We keep trying to force the play on instances when we should be slowing things down. The quality of our overall play was decent tonight and we've got a team full of youngsters who need to develop. "We need to work to improve the team and bring it up to a certain level. We're still inexperienced when it comes to reading the game in certain situations and we're currently paying the price with dropped points." Defender Andrea Barzagli, who started this game, also spoke afterwards - "We didn't see out the final stages well. It's a pity to concede from a corner on 93 minutes and a bitter pill to swallow. "Our first-half performance was a little under par, but we fashioned several chances to score after the break. We lacked that little bit of spark, but we only have ourselves to blame for conceding from that corner." http://www.goal.com/en-gb/tables/serie-a/13?ICID=SP_TN_127

JUVENTUS - FROSINONE 1 - 1 Simone Zaza (50') Leonardo Blanchard (92') MATCHDAY 5 Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee: Angelo Cervellera Stellone: 'Not our best game' http://www.football-italia.net/73399/stellone-not-our-best-game? Sep 23, 2015 Roberto Stellone admits Frosinone picked up their first point against Juventus with “not our best performance.” The absolute Serie A beginners had lost all four games leading up to the 1-1 draw in Turin. “I am happy, as this is an important point for our confidence and the table,” said Coach Stellone in his Press conference. “We lost previous games while playing better, but got a point against Juventus with what was not our best performance. That’s football for you. “Today Juventus would’ve deserved the win considering the number of chances they created, but we could’ve had a penalty in the first half and didn’t fall apart despite going a goal down. We never stopped believing. “We were rewarded for that attitude and this point will go down in history, also for me as an ex-Torino player. “Everyone showed great spirit of sacrifice and that is the only way to take on Juve. We tried to attack them and stop them playing.” http://www.goal.com/en-gb/tables/serie-a/13?ICID=SP_TN_127

JUVENTUS - FROSINONE 1 - 1 Simone Zaza (50') Leonardo Blanchard (92') MATCHDAY 5 Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee: Angelo Cervellera Allegri: 'Juve can lose to anyone' http://www.football-italia.net/73395/allegri-juve-can-lose-anyone? Sep 23, 2015 Max Allegri warned Juventus “are capable of beating anyone and losing to anyone” after a 1-1 draw with Frosinone. The Bianconeri had taken the lead after a difficult first half with Simone Zaza’s debut goal for the club, but Leonardo Blanchard was allowed a free header from a corner in stoppages. “Am I angry? No, just disappointed,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium. “At the end it was only right we conceded on a corner, because we didn’t control the situation and shouldn’t have given them the chance to equalise. “It was a mistake to allow Frosinone a corner in the last minute of the game. We tried to do something fancy when we could’ve just controlled the ball. “We are paying for this situation with many points in the table now. We have many young players who are unaccustomed to being in a big club and they will learn from these errors. “Unfortunately at the moment that’s who we are – we’re capable of beating anyone and losing to anyone.” Allegri switched to a 3-5-2 system in the second half with the introduction of Paulo Dybala. “I chose this system to stretch the Frosinone defence and find more solidity at the back. The quality of our football was good and we created many scoring opportunities, but paid for that error at the end. “It’s a growth process, but we have to grow more quickly, because we can’t keep leaving all these points by the wayside.” http://www.goal.com/en-gb/tables/serie-a/13?ICID=SP_TN_127

Sep 23, 2015 Juventus dropped more points in Serie A as Frosinone snatched a 1-1 draw at the Juventus stadium on Wednesday night. Juventus took the lead through Simon Zaza but the visitors scored a shock equaliser late on through Leonardo Blanchard to secure their first ever point in Serie A. Leonardo Bonucci – 6 – Classy - Solid defensive game, with some classy movements and some dangers in attack. Alex Sandro – 6.5 – Push - A constant threat out wide. Almost an added winger. Stefano Sturaro – 6 – Constant - A solid first half. Substituted by Dybala in the second half. Mauro Lemina – 6.5 – Growing - More and more present in the game. A lot of clever play and often won possession for the Bianconeri. Paulo Pogba – 6.5 – Leader - Returning to his usual heights but at times tonight he took too many risks. Juan Cuadrado – 6.5 – Flamboyant - He is in superb form and is showing it once again, assisted the Old Lady’s goal. Simone Zaza – 6.5 – Scorer - He covers a lot of ground across the attacking front and combines well with the other strikers. Scored the goal but was substituted for Hernanes after 77 minutes. Roberto Pereyra – 6 – Attacking - A good match by a clever player. He is well integrated in almost all offensive plays of Juventus. Substitutes Giorgio Chiellini – 6 – Impact - Introduced for Lichtsteiner in the second half. Good impact both in defence and in attack. Paulo Dybala – 6 – Super-sub - Brought on for Sturaro in the second half was dangerous, particularly in terms of his movement. Hernanes – N/A Frosinone Nicola Leali – 6 – Future - The ‘future Buffon’ didn’t have too many saves to make and was unfortunate for the goal he conceded. Matteo Ciofani – 5.5 - Couldn’t cope against Pereyra and struggled to adjust to the quality of opposition. Modibo Diakité – 6 – Solid - Coped well up against an attacking-minded Juventus without giving up too much. Leonardo Blanchard – 6 – Historical - Wasn’t great in a defensive sense, but he cropped up with Frosinone’s historic equaliser. Roberto Crivello – 5.5 – Fresh - Struggled to contain the attacking threat of Juan Cuadrado. Mirko Gori – 5.5 – Calm - Not a lot to show from this match beside some solid tackling. Danilo Soddimo – 6.5 – Best - The visitors best player and at times he one to do anything substantial for Frosinone in a creative sense. Yussuf Chisbah – 6.5 – Rocky - Made a lot of attacking runs throughout the evening and caused the Bianconeri some problems. Alessandro Frara – 5.5 – Confused - The captain of Frosinone never really looked confident in the match. Daniele Ciofani – 5 – Absent - Was often starved of possession but couldn’t use his movement to significantly influence proceedings. Nicolas Castillo – 5.5 – Raw - More present in the game than Daniel Ciofani, but never posed any substantial threat. JUVENTUS - FROSINONE 1 - 1 Simone Zaza (50') Leonardo Blanchard (92') MATCHDAY 5 Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee: Angelo Cervellera Frosinone made history by holding Juventus Frosinone won their first ever Serie A point with a last-gasp equaliser stunning Juventus after Simone Zaza’s debut goal. http://www.football-italia.net/SerieA/match/69865 Sep 23, 2015 The Bianconeri had an injury crisis to contend with, missing Mario Mandzukic, Alvaro Morata, Claudio Marchisio, Sami Khedira and Kwadwo Asamoah, so Simone Zaza got his first start. Norberto Neto also received a run-out to rest Gigi Buffon ahead of Saturday’s huge trip to Napoli. Frosinone were still without a single point in their maiden Serie A season. Paul Pogba’s curler was just past the far top corner and Juan Guillermo Cuadrado also turned wide, while Zaza’s scissor-kick volley was off target. Incredibly, Frosinone had the best chance after 30 minutes, as a free kick was floated in for Nicolas Castillo to prod on to the upright. On the follow-up, Andrea Barzagli charged down Frara’s shot with his arm, but it was from point-blank range with his back to the ball, so could not be considered voluntary. Juve also rattled the woodwork, as Pogba soared above the crowd to nod a Roberto Pereyra set play on to the crossbar. Max Allegri made a double substitution for the second half, moving to three at the back. It seemed to work, as immediately Zaza’s shot was deflected off Blanchard to loop up and hit the bar, then the move continued for Cuadrado to find the side-netting. It was only a warning, as moments later Juventus took the lead. Zaza thumped one from the edge of the box and Blanchard’s attempted clearance only served to make it impossible for Nicola Leali to get there. Cuadrado’s effort whistled wide, a deflected Leo Bonucci attempt troubled Leali, while Giorgio Chiellini sprung the offside trap for a header across the face of goal. Juventus seemed comfortable, possibly too comfortable, because deep into stoppages Leonardo Blanchard was allowed a free header from a corner and drew Frosinone level in Turin. Juventus: Neto; Lichtsteiner (Chiellini 46), Barzagli, Bonucci, Alex Sandro; Sturaro (Dybala 46), Lemina, Pogba; Cuadrado, Zaza (Hernanes 77), Pereyra Frosinone: Leali; M Ciofani, Blanchard, Diakite, Crivello; Gori, Soddimo, Chibsah (Tonev 71), Frara; D Ciofani, Castillo (Dionisi 85) Ref: Cervellera http://www.goal.com/en-gb/tables/serie-a/13?ICID=SP_TN_127

JUVENTUS - FROSINONE 1 - 1 Simone Zaza (50') Leonardo Blanchard (92') MATCHDAY 5 Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee: Angelo Cervellera Juventus held to draw at home by minnows Frosinone http://www.espnfc.co.uk/italian-serie-a/match/432222/juventus-frosinone/report? Sep 23, 2015 A last-gasp equaliser from Leonardo Blanchard denied Juventus victory and earned Frosinone a historic first point in Serie A on Wednesday. Juve, who have yet to win at home, looked to be heading for their second victory of their campaign in the 50th minute when Simone Zaza struck his first goal since joining the Turin giants from Sassuolo this summer. However, Blanchard silenced the crowd at the Juventus stadium when he rose highest to head Danilo Soddimo's corner into the back of the net with one minute remaining. Juve were without five injured players, including striker Alvaro Morata, from the side that won 2-0 at Genoa on Sunday, the Bianconeri's only league victory so far. Zaza earned his first start while Juve rested veteran Gianluigi Buffon, with Neto playing in goal. Frosinone, in their maiden Serie A campaign, almost went in front in the 30th minute when Nicolas Castillo struck a right-footed shot that hit the left post with Neto rooted to the spot. Frosinone demanded a penalty soon after when Andrea Barzagli looked to have used his arm to deflect Alessandro Frara's effort but the referee waved play on. The hosts were unlucky not to move in front in the 40th minute when Paul Pogba's header from Roberto Pereyra's cross rattled the crossbar. Four minutes after the restart, a Frosinone defender deflected Zaza's header off the woodwork. Juve broke the deadlock seconds later when Zaza struck a right-footed shot into the net only for Frosinone to get a late equaliser. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/tables/serie-a/13?ICID=SP_TN_127

JUVENTUS - FROSINONE 1 - 1 Simone Zaza (50') Leonardo Blanchard (92') MATCHDAY 5 Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee: Angelo Cervellera Juventus 1-1 Frosinone: Blanchard denies Bianconeri at the death Simone Zaza's deflected strike early looked set to earn the hosts a third successive win in all competitions but their newly promoted opponents equalised in injury time. http://www.goal.com/en/match/juventus-vs-frosinone/2120421/report Sep 23, 2015 Frosinone claimed their first point of the Serie A season as Leonardo Blanchard's late header secured them a shock 1-1 draw against Juventus. Simone Zaza – given his chance in the absence of fellow forwards Mario Mandzukic and Alvaro Morata – struck his first goal for Juventus after 50 minutes, though his shot needed a deflection to get past visiting goalkeeper Nicola Leali. Massimiliano Allegri's side looked set to make it two wins on the spin in domestic action following Sunday's 2-0 triumph at Genoa, only to concede a late equaliser in injury time. A corner from the left allowed defender Blanchard to come up from the back and head home only Frosinone's second goal of the campaign, though despite the impressive result they still remain bottom of the table. Frosinone had hit the woodwork in the first half through Nicolas Castillo, but that proved to be a rare moment of joy in a game that, unsurprisingly, Juventus dominated. The hosts saw a header from Paul Pogba kept out by the crossbar five minutes before the break, with the Frenchman having previously curled two long-range efforts over the top. Juan Cuadrado also went close with a shot from outside of the box, hitting the side netting with former Juventus goalkeeper Leali beaten. However, Frosinone gave the champions a warning when a rare foray into enemy territory saw them strike the post through Castillo. His poked effort towards goal came back off the woodwork before the follow-up attempt was charged down by Andrea Barzagli. The Frosinone players were adamant the defender had blocked the shot with his hand, but their penalty appeals were immediately waved away. Zaza saw the bar at the same end of the field keep out a looping header straight after the break, though fortune went his way soon after when his low shot clipped a Frosinone player to get beyond the stranded Leali. The busy Cuadrado twice came close to doubling Juventus' lead, including a well-struck drive that whistled just past the frame of the goal. Giorgio Chiellini also had a glorious opportunity to make it 2-0, drifting a header just wide after ghosting in at the far post, while fellow substitute Hernanes stung the palms of Leali in the closing minutes. The home side were made to pay for their profligacy when Blanchard rose at a corner to plant a header beyond debutant Norberto Neto in the Juventus goal. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/tables/serie-a/13?ICID=SP_TN_127
