  1. JUVENTUS 2 - 0 UDINESE - Carlos Tévez 8' Claudio Marchisio 75' Saturday, September 13th, 2014 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee:‬ Antonio Damato Allegri: Juventus need to learn control The new head coach is not surprised by their winning start to the season but feels they must be more careful with their tempo. Sep 14, 2014 Massimiliano Allegri believes his Juventus side need to show more control in their play after they saw off Udinese 2-0 on Saturday. After being kicked out of AC Milan midway through the previous campaign following a run of poor results, Allegri was appointed as Juve boss in July after Antonio Conte's shock resignation. Allegri began his reign - and Juve's title defence - with a 1-0 win at Chievo on the opening weekend of Serie A and he watched on at the Juventus Stadium this weekend as goals from Carlos Tevez and Claudio Marchisio sealed a routine victory. While he admits he is not surprised to see his side's winning start to the season, Allegri maintains his players must be more consistent when it comes to the tempo of their play. "It was a special night for me as Juventus coach in this wonderful stadium," he told Sky Sport. "I was curious to see how the night would go, above all that we'd be able to win! "The crowd's an added weapon for the team and they stepped up when there were moments of difficulty. "We had this 10-minute spell when Udinese had us under pressure and we've got to emerge from those situations better. We also gave the ball away in avoidable ways. "The team started very well and we knew Udinese would become more dangerous on the counterattack as time wore on, so we had to break the deadlock early. "The lads defended well and, once we took the lead, we were at times patient and at others a bit too hasty. I wanted more than one goal and we suffered in the second half, unable to get the measure of Udinese after their tactical switch, but in the end it was a good performance. "I am absolutely not surprised we've started the season so well. This squad has physical and technical qualities which mean we can do a lot better. "We must improve on how to control the tempo, as we cannot always go at 100 miles per hour or at 10 miles per hour. Playing every three days we have to learn more control to avoid wasting energy." Juventus kick off their Champions League campaign on Tuesday against Champions League rookies Malmo. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  2. JUVENTUS 2 - 0 UDINESE - Carlos Tévez 8' Claudio Marchisio 75' Saturday, September 13th, 2014 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee:‬ Antonio Damato Tevez, Marchisio score as Juventus beat Udinese 2-0 in home opener Sep 14, 2014 If you were expecting change with Max Allegri then you're not going to like reading today's match report. If you wanted Juventus to remain the same despite Antonio Conte's departure, then you will enjoy reading this narrative. Honestly though, if you didn't look at the bench you would have sworn this was last year's team, with some changes though. Roberto Pereyra is a definite upgrade in the middle of the field over last year's midfield sub Simone Padoin (sacrilege! I know!). As much as some fans would like to blame Allegri for Juve's strange season-opening injury bug, Juve have been lucky to start the season with a soft schedule which has allowed the team to break in some new faces. MATCH SUMMARY Juventus marked their first home game of the 2014-15 season with a pretty commanding performance. At times it looked like they were coasting a little bit. especially in the second half, but for the most part this was a blemish-free victory. They were a 100% at home last season, and they maintained that streak today too, with minor hiccups on the way. The first half consisted of Juve penning Udinese back in their first half, and the customary early goal too. This time it was Carlos Tevez, who was a game-time decision due to injury, benefiting from a pull-back by Stephan Lichtsteiner which was deflected into his path. Tevez did well to keep his shot low, and it flew past Orestis Karnezis in the Udine goal in the 8th minute. The away side were lucky to go into halftime just the one goal down as Juve swarmed all over them, clocking ten shots in the first period alone. At that point the absence of Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal through injury was barely felt, while wily veteran Antonio Di Natale was a non-factor. Pereyra shot way over when set up by Fernando Llorente. Tevez shot over soon after, and both Paul Pogba and Lichtsteiner could have done better with further opportunities before the break. Udinese manager Andrea Stramaccione was the first away coach to pull out a win at Juventus Stadium when with Inter Milan, and dug some tricks out of the bag to start off the second half. He pulled off forward Luis Muriel and brought on Bruno Fernandes to quell the tidal wave of Juventus possession in midfield, and the move immediately paid dividends as suddenly Udinese looked like they belonged. A couple of times Udinese threatened to tie the game as Juve looked a little wobbly at the hour mark, and then Igor Bubjnic got behind the defence to slot past an otherwise idle Gianluigi Buffon. However the Croat was pulled back by the assistant referee's flag as he looked to have strayed just offside. After the scare though, Juventus bounced right back and Claudio Marchisio took advantage of a gap in the backline to hammer home a second and seal the game. Marchisio has been pulling the strings in the absence of Pirlo, and while there is no replacing the master, Il Principino was a pretty competent replacement completing 92% of his passes for the day. Udinese played like a beaten side for the last quarter of an hour, and gave Allegri the chance to roll out subs Kingsley Coman and Alavaro Morata, both making their Serie A home debuts. Indeed Morata almost scored in the limited time he was on the pitch, which is remarkable as he was widely expected to be out until October. LE PAGELLE Buffon: 7 - It's only a seven, but it's through no fault of his. He really had little to do all day. Caceres: 8 - The Uruguayan had an excellent game out on the right, made three interceptions and was generally solid all around. Bonucci: 7 - Kept close tabs on Di Natale all game. Ogbonna: 7.5 - Haters gonna hate, but that's two games with him in the backline, and two clean sheets. One interception, eight clearances and two shots blocked - his best game for Juve so far? Lichtsteiner: 7.5 - Never any doubts about him, like clockwork he motors up and down the wing, all game. Pereyra: 7 - Wayward in front of goal, his movement and passing were decent. Marchisio: 8.5 - Excellent with or without the ball, took full advantage of his opportunity to start. Pogba: 7.5 - Always a threat to score when he had the ball, had the Udinese midfield chasing him all afternoon. Evra: 6.5 - Played more of a supportive role in midfield, was not really needed to add firepower up front. Tevez: 8 - Injury? What injury? He was his harrying best chasing everything down, being a menace in attack. Llorente: 7.5 - Udinese had no answer for his hold-up play, allowed Juventus to gain a foothold deep in their territory. Subs: Coman: N/A Padoin: N/A Morata: N/A Coach: Allegri: 7 - If you were hoping to see something different about how Allegri will approach the Champions League, you wouldn't have seen it today. In his defence, why rock the Serie A boat when it's still sailing merrily along. Now if he can get Tevez to break his CL drought, we'll be even more appreciative of Allegri http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  3. Evra: Juventus Can Compete For The Champions League Sep 14, 2014 Juventus full back Patrice Evra was full of praise for his new team mates as the Bianconeri defeated Udinese 2-0 at the Juventus stadium. Carlos Tevez and Claudio Marchisio were on target in something of a routine win for the Bianconeri. The ex-Manchester United defender spoke to Sky Sport Italia after Saturday night’s match and said, “Playing in Italy is very different to playing in the Premier League. “In Italy it’s much more tactical and you must concentrate all the time. I’ve never worked so hard in training!” After being asked about the impact his new team can have in the Champions League, Evra commented, “Here we have some great players and I know we can do great things. We can do much better than what was achieved last season.” Evra has only recently joined the Italian champions after leaving English giants Manchester United in the summer.

JUVENTUS 2 - 0 UDINESE - Carlos Tévez 8' Claudio Marchisio 75' Saturday, September 13th, 2014 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee:‬ Antonio Damato Allegri: This Juventus Side Must Still Improve Sep 13, 2014 New Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri appeared happy with his side’s 2-0 home win over Udinese, but was under no illusions that his squad has still some way to go to becoming a real force. Carlos Tevez gave the hosts an early lead before Claudio Marchisio doubled the advantage late in the game. Allegri spoke to Sky sport Italia after the game at the Juventus stadium and said, “I’m not surprised about how well we played but technically this team still must improve. “We need to learn when to slow down as we can’t play at 100mph for the whole match.” He also had words of praise for his four strikers, who all played a part in the victory. “Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente played superbly and worked incredibly hard. It was good to be able to bring on two strikers, young and talented, like Kingsley Coman and Alvaro Morata, who almost scored on his debut.” The former AC Milan tactician is in his debut season with the Bianconeri, having replaced Antonio Conte who left Juventus to coach the Italian national team. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS 2 - 0 UDINESE - Carlos Tévez 8' Claudio Marchisio 75' Saturday, September 13th, 2014 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee:‬ Antonio Damato Evra: 'Incredible Serie A debut' Sep 13, 2014 Patrice Evra thanked Juventus for his “incredible” Serie A debut and outlined the differences with the Premier League. The former Manchester United man played in tonight’s 2-0 victory over Udinese at the Juventus Stadium in Turin. “It is incredible,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “Pogba told me about the stadium, I’d never played here and the fans were amazing. “I have to thank everyone, from the fans to players and staff, and will try to repay them with my performances.” Evra revealed he is finding it a big shift from the Premier League to Serie A. “I have never worked so hard in training in all my life! The difference is the game is less intense, but more tactical, so you have to stay concentrated at all times and cannot be distracted for a moment.” With two Serie A victories under their belts, Juve now go into the Champions League against Malmo. “In the Champions League the objective is to do better than last season. Juve have good players and we’ll try to achieve something great.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  6. JUVENTUS 2 - 0 UDINESE - Carlos Tévez 8' Claudio Marchisio 75' Saturday, September 13th, 2014 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee:‬ Antonio Damato Strama: 'Udinese better in second half' Sep 13, 2014 Andrea Stramaccioni admits Juventus dominated the first half, but felt Udinese “were the better team” after the break. Carlos Tevez broke the deadlock after just eight minutes, but Claudio Marchisio only netted a second late on after Igor Bubnjic’s effort was ruled marginally offside. “We had intended to contain the opening push from Juventus, as that is their characteristic above all on home turf,” Strama told Sky Sport Italia after the 2-0 defeat. “Instead, Juve did well to make the most of our error to score and then we lost our way. Juventus played a great first half and probably deserved to be leading more than 1-0. They always start strong and in the opening 20 minutes are almost unstoppable. “It was a different Udinese after the break, I introduced another midfielder to hold the ball better and we put together a series of corners. In my view we were actually the better team in the second half.” Stramaccioni had changed their tactics at half-time, replacing Luis Muriel with Bruno Fernandes. “I preferred to put Fernandes and Kone behind Di Natale, giving us superiority in midfield and helping us to create more scoring opportunities. “It’s just a pity about the goal disallowed for centimetres. We had pushed and gone close to an equaliser before Marchisio’s goal. “The only way to counter Juve’s strength is to take the initiative and dominance away from them, as they suffer when they don’t have the ball.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  7. JUVENTUS 2 - 0 UDINESE - Carlos Tévez 8' Claudio Marchisio 75' Saturday, September 13th, 2014 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee:‬ Antonio Damato Allegri: 'Special night in Turin' Sep 13, 2014 Max Allegri had a “special night” at the Juventus Stadium in their 2-0 victory over Udinese. The Bianconeri are joint top of the table after beating Chievo 1-0 and this evening Udinese 2-0 in Turin. The last time this Coach started a season with a 100 per cent record after two rounds was with Sassuolo in 2007-08. “I am absolutely not surprised we’ve started the season so well,” Allegri told Sky Sport Italia. “This squad has physical and technical qualities which mean we can do a lot better. We must improve on how to control the tempo, as we cannot always go at 100mph or at 10mph. Playing every three days we have to learn more control to avoid wasting energy.” Carlos Tevez broke the deadlock after eight minutes and Claudio Marchisio finished Udinese off, but only after Igor Bubnjic had a goal disallowed for a marginal offside call. “The team started very well and we knew Udinese would become more dangerous on the counter as time wore on, so had to break the deadlock early. “The lads defended well and once we took the lead we were at times patient, at others a bit too hasty. I wanted more than one goal and we suffered in the second half, unable to get the measure of Udinese after their tactical switch, but in the end it was a good performance.” This was Allegri’s debut as a home tactician in the Juventus Stadium. “It was a special night for me as Juventus Coach in this wonderful stadium. I was curious to see how the night would go, above all that we’d be able to win! “The crowd is an added weapon for the team and they stepped up when there were moments of difficulty. “We had this 10-minute spell when Udinese had us under pressure and we’ve got to emerge from those situations better. We also gave the ball away in avoidable ways. “I am very happy tonight as when the strikers work this hard to help the midfield and defence win back the ball, it is better for the whole team. “Alvaro Morata came on and showed he has great technique. It’s important that we have young players who represent the future of this side.” Roberto Pereyra also impressed against his former teammates and showed his versatility. “He did better than I expected in a trequartista position tonight. At Udinese last season he’d often throw himself into space, but for the way Juventus play he’s better on the inside of midfield.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  8. JUVENTUS 2 - 0 UDINESE - Carlos Tévez 8' Claudio Marchisio 75' Saturday, September 13th, 2014 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee:‬ Antonio Damato Player Ratings Sep 13, 2014 JUVENTUS 1 G. Buffon Easy night for him with barely a save to make. 4 M. Cáceres Involved in attack early on, but settled into a solid defensive role for the rest of the game. 19 L. Bonucci Showed great awareness to chase down Di Natale on more than one occasion and prevent the striker from getting a glimpse on goal. 5 A. Ogbonna Solid at the back, proving more than equal to Udinese's sporadic forays into his territory. 26 S. Lichtsteiner Consistently motored up and down the right hand side, setting up the opener for Tevez in the process. 6 P. Pogba He ghosted past players with ease and was generally a menace whenever he was on the ball. 8 C. Marchisio Saw a lot of the ball and was a good distributor in the middle of the park. A solid game. 37 R. Pereyra He wasn't accurate with his shooting, but his passing was accurate and occasionally threatening. 33 P. Evra Was not quite as attacking as his position suggested, but he still contributed to the build-up more than once. 10 Carlos Tévez Got things started with an early finish, before setting up Marchisio for the second. A great night's work. 14 F. Llorente His hold up play was absolutely remarkable. It was like watching men against boys as the Udinese defence struggled to shake him off the ball. UDINESE 31 O. Karnezis Could not help either goal and was assured with his handling otherwise. 75 T. Heurtaux Offered nothing in attack and was suspect defending against players cutting infield from his flank. 5 Danilo Struggled to overpower the might of Llorente. Not his best outing in a Zebrette shirt. 18 I. Bubnjić Tapped in from close range, only to see the flag correctly raised for offside. Not the most confident defensive display. 27 S. Widmer Surprisingly found himself in attacking positions more than once, but he failed to make anything happen. 6 Allan As ever, he kept the midfield together with a determined defensive showing, stepping in to put out numerous fires. 19 Guilherme Worked hard, but was too reactive towards the patterns of play at times. 33 P. Kone Committed some careless fouls and was generally a step behind play. 26 G. Pasquale He was beaten all ends up by Lichtsteiner more than once. 10 A. Di Natale Isolated and frustrated for most of the game. Forced to live off scraps and punts. 24 L. Muriel Saw almost none of the ball in the first half and eventually departed at the break. Substitutes 8 Bruno Fernandes Added more poise and ball control to the midfield. 66 G. Pinzi Smashed a shot wide, but offered little else. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  9. JUVENTUS 2 - 0 UDINESE - Carlos Tévez 8' Claudio Marchisio 75' Saturday, September 13th, 2014 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee:‬ Antonio Damato Juventus vs. Udinese: Winners and Losers from Serie A Clash Sep 13, 2014 After last week’s 1-0 win over Chievo—reviewed here—Juventus have been forced to wait for their next Serie A match. While the international break saw many of the club’s stars fly off to represent their respective countries, it also denied Massimiliano Allegri the chance to immediately build upon that positive start. If an opening day victory was vital for the new coach, it was perhaps even more imperative that he continued that against Udinese on Saturday. The Friulian side were the first to visit Turin this season, and taking three points from his debut home game was crucial to Allegri winning over the Bianconeri supporters. Antonio Conte boasted an incredible record at Juventus Stadium, including victories in all 19 league fixtures there in 2014-15. Thanks to a 2–0 win here, his successor has certainly begun on the right path as he attempts to fill the void left by the former captain. Winner: Carlos Tevez (Juventus) This week, Carlos Tevez had to deny reports he was injured, taking to Twitter (h/t Football Italia) to insist he was fine and “preparing for Saturday’s game.” Putting the idle chatter behind him quickly, the Argentinian opened the scoring against Udinese after just eight minutes. Side-footing home a comfortable finish from around 12 yards, the striker netted his 20th goal for the Bianconeri in just 36 Serie A appearances. He played well throughout the match, adding an assist as he teed up Claudio Marchisio for Juve's important second goal. Winner: Antonio Di Natale (Udinese) Perhaps the greatest Serie A striker of the past few years, Antonio Di Natale continued his fine form against the reigning champions. The 36-year-old netted twice in Udinese’s opening match against Empoli, and impressed here despite failing to add to that tally. A constant threat to the Juventus backline, the Zebrette captain provided a series of chances for his team-mates, and will be frustrated at their failure to capitalise upon them. Even without getting his name on the score sheet, Di Natale proved with his all-round play that he remains a prominent force. Winner: Claudio Marchisio (Juventus) Claudio Marchisio has arguably became the odd-man-out at Juventus, with the emergence of Paul Pogba seeing the 21-year-old joining Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo as the first-choice midfield for the Bianconeri. However, with the latter pair of the trio absent through injury on Saturday, he would once again step in just when the Old Lady needed him most. With Udinese threatening to establish a foothold in the second half, Marchisio netted a crucial second goal for the home side. Winner: Martin Caceres (Juventus) With Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini missing once again, Martin Caceres continued on the right of the Juventus back three. He has been in excellent form throughout 2014, and showed that with yet another impressive display. According to stats site WhoScored.com, the Uruguayan made three interceptions, four clearances and completed 92 percent of his pass attempts. Loser: Sebastian Giovinco (Juventus) After Juventus sold Mirko Vucinic and Fabio Quagliarella this past summer, it seemed Sebastian Giovinco would rise up the pecking order in Turin. However, the impressive early form of Kingsley Coman and the arrival of Alvaro Morata appears to have seen him remain on the outside looking in. Those two new signings took to the field tonight, replacing Tevez and Fernando Llorente respectively, whilst Giovinco remained an unused substitute for the second game in a row. His lack of playing time has led to speculation about his future, with TuttoSport (h/t Football Italia) linking him to Arsenal this weekend. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  10. JUVENTUS 2 - 0 UDINESE - Carlos Tévez 8' Claudio Marchisio 75' Saturday, September 13th, 2014 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee:‬ Antonio Damato Juventus 2-0 Udinese: Bianconeri Secure Comfortable Win Over Zebrette Sep 13, 2014 Juventus maintained their 100 percent start to the Serie A season with a convincing 2-0 victory over Udinese at the Juventus Stadium Single goals in each half gave the home side the win. Carlos Tevez opened the scoring in the eighth minute, before Claudio Marchisio ensured the win late in the second half. The home side immediately looked to dominate, forcing their opponents to defend in numbers. Their strong start was rewarded when Stephan Lichtsteiner broke down the right wing and fired in a cross for Carlos Tevez to expertly strike home in the ninth minute. The Argentine placed the ball into the bottom far corner, beyond the reach of Orestis Karnezis in the Udinese goal . The Bianconeri then had a claim for a penalty when Patrice Evra was brought down in the box by Panagiotis Kone. The Old Lady continued to dominate after the goal, Paul Pogba in particular standing out Udinese had a rare chance on the counter in the 26th minute but the final ball was played behind the onrushing Luis Muriel. Martin Caceres made a crucial headed clearance in the 29th minute, denying Antonio Di Natale a clear attempt on goal. The Zebrette began to enjoy more possession after the half hour mark but their midfield lacked any guile or creativity. Lichtsteiner prodded a shot tamely wide in the 37th minute following some neat interchanges on the edge of the Udinese penalty area. Karnezis saved from Pogba in the 40th minute after he failed to connect properly with a low shot. The Frenchman contuned to be a threat and he went close again in the 44th minute, skipping past a challenge and striking from distance. The second half began in much the same way as the first with the home side attacking from the outset. Evra made one of his trademark attacking runs down the left wing in the 64th minute, firing his cross just behind Fernando Llorente. There was drama in the 66th minute when the away side thought they had equalized but defender Igor Bubnjic was judged to be offside when he prodded the ball in the net from three yards out. Replays show the call was extremely tight. Soon after Llorente rolled his defender expertly but sliced his shot horribly wide. The Old Lady did eventually double their advantage in the 75th minute when Claudio Marchisio finished a neat move involving Patrice Evra and Carlos Tevez. The former Manchester City man rolled the ball for Marchisio to rifle home from outside the box. After the second goal the game petered out with the home side looking to conserve their energy and Udinese lacking any real quality. Subsitute Alvaro Morata had the chance to add a third in the 93rd minute but his turn and low shot was well saved by Karnezis. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  11. JUVENTUS 2 - 0 UDINESE - Carlos Tévez 8' Claudio Marchisio 75' Saturday, September 13th, 2014 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee:‬ Antonio Damato Carlos Tevez and Claudio Marchisio give Juventus win over Udinese Sep 13, 2014 Juventus joined Roma at the top of Serie A with two wins out of two this season after beating Udinese 2-0 at the Juventus Stadium. Carlos Tevez and Claudio Marchisio supplied the goals for Massimiliano Allegri's side, who struggled more than necessary after failing to make their pressure count in the first half. After running a few risks, though, they picked up the win they were looking for to warm them up for Tuesday's Champions League opener against Malmo in Turin. Juve - who won every single one of their 19 Serie A games at the Juventus Stadium last season - were quick to assert their authority, pegging their opponents back in their own half in their customary style. They needed only eight minutes to break the deadlock with Tevez opening his account for the season, just days before he will bid to end a four-year drought in the Champions League. The Argentinian, who was an injury doubt right up to kick-off, was lurking in just the right place at the right time as Stephan Lichtsteiner's attempt to pull the ball across deflected back to him eight yards out and he provided a neat low finish. The Bianconeri, still camped in their opponents' half, struggled to translate their superiority into further goals, with Udinese managing to remain just one goal behind going into the break. Luis Muriel was withdrawn and Bruno Fernandes came on, and Andrea Stramaccioni's tactical change led to a transformation in his side, and the game. Stramaccioni was the first visiting coach to win at the Juventus Stadium, succeeding with Inter Milan two seasons ago, and some Juve fans may have had that 3-1 defeat in their minds as the Zebrette started to make some inroads in the second half. Juve's defence was beginning to wobble when Igor Bubnjic lifted Danilo's shot into the roof of Gianluigi Buffon's goal from a yard out, but the offside flag came to Juve's rescue. It was enough of a warning for Juve, who responded with Marchisio powering in a low shot from just outside the penalty area to give them a cushion that made the final 15 minutes that bit more relaxing for Allegri. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  12. JUVENTUS 2 - 0 UDINESE - Carlos Tévez 8' Claudio Marchisio 75' Saturday, September 13th, 2014 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee:‬ Antonio Damato Juventus see off Udinese Carlos Tevez and Claudio Marchisio gave Juventus a 2-0 victory. Sep 13, 2014 Max Allegri had his first game in Turin as Juve boss against Andrea Stramaccioni, who as Coach of Inter was the first opponent ever to win at the Juventus Stadium. Tevez started despite a muscular problem, while Patrice Evra got his Serie A debut and Roberto Pereyra faced his former teammates. The Friulani missed Gabriel Silva, Maurizio Domizzi and Simone Scuffet, but Panagiotis Kone was given a surprise start. Juve started strong and broke through after just eight minutes when Stephan Lichtsteiner pulled back from the by-line for Tevez to side-foot home from 12 yards. It was his 20th Serie A goal in just 36 games. A Juve free kick training ground exercise went very wrong when the referee accidentally got in the way, sparking a dangerous Luis Muriel counter-attack. Silvan Widmer also had an effort charged down and Pereyra blasted over from a Fernando Llorente assist, while Angelo Ogbonna got just enough of a touch to a Muriel cross to prevent Antonio Di Natale’s free header. Tevez fired over and Lichtsteiner scuffed his finish following a give-and-go with Llorente, while Paul Pogba tried to place his shot rather than blast it, allowing Orestis Karnezis to recover. The French midfielder did put his boot through the laces soon after, but this time it was too central. Llorente got on the end of a Pereyra assist at the back post, but it bounced awkwardly and he couldn’t control it. After the restart Pogba’s free kick was palmed away, but Udinese finally came out of their shell on the hour mark. First a corner bounced off Llorente just wide of Gigi Buffon’s upright, then Igor Bubnjic was flagged marginally offside when he redirected a Danilo cross-shot into the net. Replays show it was an extremely tight decision. Tevez forced Karnezis into a save at the near post and Apache set up Juve’s second goal just as they were starting to come under pressure. He rolled across for Claudio Marchisio’s screamer from outside the box that beat Karnezis at the near bottom corner. There was even time for Alvaro Morata to get his Serie A debut, having suffered an injury in his first Juventus training session. He almost scored, spinning in the box to force Karnezis into a tough one-handed save. Juventus: Buffon; Caceres, Bonucci, Ogbonna; Lichtsteiner, Pereyra (Padoin 85), Marchisio, Pogba, Evra; Tevez (Coman 81), Llorente (Morata 89) Udinese: Karnezis; Heurtaux, Danilo, Bubnjic; Widmer, Allan, Guilherme (Pinzi 73), Kone (Thereau 81), Pasquale; Muriel (Bruno Fernandes 46), Di Natale Ref: Damato http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  13. JUVENTUS 2 - 0 UDINESE - Carlos Tévez 8' Claudio Marchisio 75' Saturday, September 13th, 2014 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee:‬ Antonio Damato Juventus 2-0 Udinese: Tevez and Marchisio seal comfortable win Massimiliano Allegri marked his first home league match in charge with victory to continue their 100% start to the new campaign. Sep 13, 2014 A Carlos Tevez-inspired Juventus made it two wins out of two in Serie A as they ran out 2-0 winners over Udinese in Turin on Saturday night. After a runaway title win in 2013-14, Juve are strongly fancied to make it four Scudetti in a row at the end of the campaign, and Saturday's result at Juventus Stadium means the Massimiliano Allegri era has begun in positive fashion. In his first competitive home match in charge, Allegri had to contend with the absences of key men Andrea Pirlo, Giorgio Chiellini and Arturo Vidal, but the home side had little trouble in overcoming an Udinese side that lacked any potency, even with the prolific Antonio Di Natale in attack. The veteran came into the clash having scored seven goals in two matches this season, but the 36-year-old had little effect on the affair as an early strike from Tevez was added to by Marchisio's effort from distance 15 minutes from time. Juventus had chances to add to their margin of victory, while the closest the visitors came to a goal saw Igor Bubnjic's close-range effort ruled out for offside midway through the second half. The result means Juve have now won all of the past six meetings between the two sides, and the defending champions extended their winning sequence at home in the league to 20 games in the process. Allegri made three changes from the side that defeated Chievo 1-0 on the opening weekend. Fernando Llorente was selected to partner Tevez in attack, while there was a competitive Juve debut for Patrice Evra and on-loan midfielder Roberto Pereyra made his first start, against his parent club. The hosts were ahead in the eighth minute when Tevez swept home Stephan Lichtsteiner's cut-back from the byline after the Switzerland international had combined well with Pereyra down the right-hand side. Pereyra wasted a chance to net against his former employees in the 29th minute, firing over the crossbar from just inside the area after being teed up by Llorente. Tevez blasted over four minutes later as Juve continued to dominate, while Lichtsteiner and Paul Pogba both spurned presentable opportunities with weak efforts as the half drew to a close. Pogba tested goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis with a curling free-kick four minutes after the interval, and Martin Caceres was just unable to connect with Tevez's inviting free-kick at the back post. Bubnjic thought he had levelled in the 67th minute when he tapped home from six yards, but the referee's assistant raised his flag with replays showing the Croat to have strayed marginally beyond the last defender. Tevez brought another save out of Karnezis four minutes later as Juve went in search of a second, which duly arrived when Marchisio thumped a low shot into the bottom right-hand corner from 20 yards. A further boost for Allegri came late on as close-season arrival from Real Madrid, Alvaro Morata, emerged as an 89th-minute substitute for his debut having recovered from a knee injury, the Spaniard forcing a good save out of Karnezis in his brief cameo. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

  15. JUVENTUS - UDINESE - Saturday, September 13th, 2014 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium - Turin Referee:‬ Antonio Damato HT 1-0: Tevez puts Juve in front Sep 13, 2014 Carlos Tevez shook off injury to score as Juventus lead Udinese 1-0 at half-time. Max Allegri had his first game in Turin as Juve boss against Andrea Stramaccioni, who as Coach of Inter was the first opponent ever to win at the Juventus Stadium. Carlos Tevez started despite a muscular problem, while Patrice Evra got his Serie A debut and Roberto Pereyra faced his former teammates.
