JUVENTUS - INTER February 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Gianluca Rocchi Hernanes out of Juve-Inter Feb 1, 2014 Hernanes is not part of Inter’s squad to take on Juventus tomorrow, as he must await clearance from the bank. http://markting10.nl/ The Nerazzurri visit the Juventus Stadium on Sunday at 20.45 CET. They were very active on transfer deadline day, snapping up Hernanes from Lazio for a reported €17m. However, the Brazilian midfielder has not been given the all-clear to play for his new club by the Lega Serie A, as the necessary financial clearance hasn’t come through from the banks. http://markting10.nl/ Fellow new arrival Danilo D’Ambrosio is available after completing his transfer from Torino. Andrea Ranocchia is included despite reports he’ll join Galatasaray before the Turkish transfer window closes tomorrow. http://markting10.nl/ Inter squad for Juventus: Handanovic, Carrizo, Castellazzi; Jonathan, Zanetti, Juan Jesus, Andreolli, Campagnaro, Ranocchia, Samuel, D'Ambrosio, Rolando, Nagatomo; Kovacic, Alvarez, Mudingayi, Kuzmanovic, Taider; Palacio, Icardi, Botta, Milito http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS - INTER February 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Gianluca Rocchi Hernanes can make the difference for Inter - Alvarez The Argentine midfielder has backed the Brazilian to have a huge impact following his move from Lazio and insists his side are closer to Juventus' standard than the table suggests. Feb 1, 2014 Inter midfielder Ricky Alvarez has hailed the arrival of Hernanes from Lazio, backing the Brazilian to be an instant hit at the Giuseppe Meazza. http://markting10.nl/ The Brazilian joined on deadline day in a €20 million deal, and Alvarez believes the 28-year-old will bring qualities that will make a big difference to Walter Mazzari's side. "He's a great player, he can play in many roles in midfield. He's someone who could make a difference in any team," he told La giornalaccio rosa Dello Sport. Inter face runaway Serie A leaders Juventus on Sunday looking to repeat their famous 3-1 victory in November 2012 which brought the Bianconeri's 49-game unbeaten run to an end. http://markting10.nl/ While Alvarez admits his side have undergone significant changes since that victory, he maintains Inter are far closer to Juventus' standard than the current 23-point gap in the Serie A standings suggests. "I don't think so [that the gap is significant]. They've played together for three years. We have changed coaches and changed systems. We are at the beginning of a project that can give us great satisfaction. http://markting10.nl/ "That match [in 2012] was one of the best in recent years, but it belongs in the past. The situation is different now, although that game should serve to give us conviction. After that, it depends on us and what we do out on the pitch. "It'll be a great game. Many factors affect the result. Of course, we have to leave the pitch having given everything." http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS - INTER February 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Gianluca Rocchi MATCH PREVIEW Feb 1, 2014 Although Juventus and Inter go into the Derby d’Italia in very contrasting form, both suffered disappointing draws in the previous round of fixtures. http://markting10.nl/ Following on from their 4-2 dismantling of Sampdoria, the Bianconeri travelled to the Stadio Olimpico to face Lazio, hoping to extend their incredible winning streak in Serie A to 13 consecutive games, but tied 1-1 with the Biancocelesti. The result may have ended their winning series but they remain unbeaten in the League since their 4-2 defeat away to Fiorentina in mid-October. Gianluigi Buffon saw red for the visitors after 24 minutes, with Antonio Candreva dispatching the resulting penalty past substitute Marco Storari in the Juve goal. Fernando Llorente came to La Vecchia Signora’s rescue, salvaging a point with his 60th minute effort, and Coach Antonio Conte was pleased with his side’s resolve after they went down to 10 men. http://markting10.nl/ “We have shown why we are top of the table,” Conte mused. “We try to instil a winning mentality, the players rose to the occasion and demonstrated that they are men.” Juventus will be without two key figures on Sunday evening, as Giorgio Chiellini is still sidelined with a thigh problem, and Buffon will serve the first of a three-match suspension following his sending-off against the Aquile. Welcoming fifth placed Inter, who have only scored one goal and are without a win since the turn of the year, will the Old Lady of Turin succumb to an unlikely defeat? http://markting10.nl/ The Beneamata arrive on the back of a 0-0 stalemate at home to bottom side Catania, an outcome which was as much thanks to the brilliance of Elefanti ‘keeper Alberto Frison as it was to the profligacy of the Biscione strikers. Nerazzurro tactician Walter Mazzarri was left ruing missed opportunities as a troubled week in Lombardy culminated in a result which now leaves the Milanese giants looking nervously over their shoulders, with Torino, Parma and Hellas Verona all in close pursuit. “It was as though we were playing behind closed doors, there was no enthusiasm at the stadium,” he lamented. “When we could have scored we didn’t, and there wasn’t a turning point.” http://markting10.nl/ Due to new signing Danilo D’Ambrosio having suffered a thigh injury, Inter will be unable to call on the former Torino full-back for this match, and Esteban Cambiasso has also been ruled out after picking up a hamstring strain against Catania, although Brazilian midfielder Hernanes could make his first appearance in Nerazzurri colours following his recent move from Lazio. Keep an eye on: Arturo Vidal (Juventus) – The 26-year-old box-to-box midfielder recently declared himself to be the best in the world in his role, and this may not be far from the truth, with the Chilean in such outstanding form so far this term - 10 goals, five assists and five man of the match performances in 21 appearances for the Italian champions has understandably attracted the interest of some of the continent’s most prestigious clubs. You can expect him to cut an imposing figure on Sunday evening, as he looks to dominate the midfield battle against his Inter counterparts. http://markting10.nl/ Form Guide: Juventus (W W W W D) Inter (W L D L D) Last season: Juventus 1-3 Inter Stat fact: Since the 2002-03 campaign, this fixture has been contested on 10 occasions, with an average of 2.4 goals being scored per game. During this period, Juventus have run out as winners five times, Inter have tasted victory three times, and the two teams have cancelled each other out twice. http://markting10.nl/ Juventus (probable): Storari; Barzagli, Bonucci, Ogbonna; Lichtsteiner, Pogba, Pirlo, Vidal, Asamoah; Llorente, Tevez Inter (probable): Handanovic; Juan, Rolando, Campagnaro; Nagatomo, Kovacic, Kuzmanovic, Jonathan; Milito, Alvarez, Palacio http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS - INTER February 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Gianluca Rocchi Juventus-Inter Preview: Champions hoping to pile more misery on Mazzarri's men Antonio Conte will be confident that his men will be able to extend their 100 per cent home record against a side who have taken just eight points from their last nine games. Feb 1, 2014 Juventus and Inter will contest the 162nd Derby d'Italia in Turin on Sunday having endured contrasting fortunes in recent weeks. http://markting10.nl/ The hosts sit six points clear of Roma at the top of Serie A and, despite being held to a 1-1 draw against Lazio last time out, are on course for a third straight Scudetto. Inter, meanwhile, are 23 points off the title pace, having accrued just eight from their last nine games. Antonio Conte's men had won 12 league games on the bounce before the Lazio result and they remain unbeaten at home in the Italian top flight since January last year. http://markting10.nl/ Visiting sides have found trips to the Juventus Stadium tough, with the Bianconeri having conceded just six goals in 10 games, scoring 30 in the process. Juve's attacking threat has been further improved by the addition of Southampton striker Pablo Daniel Osvaldo, who joined on loan from Southampton on Friday. The Italy international scored 27 Serie A goals during his spell at Roma and bolsters a forward line that already features Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente. http://markting10.nl/ Inter, often a title rival to Juventus in years gone by, have endured a tough start to the year, failing to win any of their five games in 2014, leaving them fifth in Serie A. As well as crashing out of the Coppa Italia to Udinese, Walter Mazzarri's side have tasted defeat in league matches against Lazio and Genoa, while only managing home draws against Catania and Chievo. Inter could hand a debut to recent arrivals Danilo D'Ambrosio and Hernanes, who have arrived from Torino and Lazio, respectively. http://markting10.nl/ Captain Gianluigi Buffon is suspended for Juventus due to his dismissal against Lazio, while Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso is likely to miss clash due to a hamstring injury. Juventus have won 76 of the sides' 161 meetings, with 40 games ending in draws - the most recent of which being a 1-1 stalemate at San Siro in September. Inter took the lead on that occasion through Mauro Icardi after 73 minutes before Arturo Vidal equalised two minutes later. http://markting10.nl/ Head to Head Serie A - Sep 14, 2013 - FC Internazionale 1 - 1 Juventus Guinness International Champions Cup - Aug 6, 2013 Juventus 1 - 1 FC Internazionale Serie A - Mar 30, 2013 - FC Internazionale 1 - 2 Juventus Serie A - Nov 3, 2012 - Juventus 1 - 3 FC Internazionale Serie A - Mar 25, 2012 - Juventus 2 - 0 FC Internazionale http://markting10.nl/ Last Five Matches JUVENTUS Jan 25, 2014 - Lazio 1 - 1 Juventus - Serie A Jan 21, 2014 - Roma 1 - 0 Juventus - Coppa Italia Jan 18, 2014 - Juventus 4 - 2 Sampdoria - Serie A Jan 12, 2014 - Cagliari 1 - 4 Juventus - Serie A Jan 5, 2014 - Juventus 3 - 0 Roma - Serie A FC INTERNAZIONALE Jan 26, 2014 - FC Internazionale 0 - 0 Catania - Serie A Jan 19, 2014 - Genoa 1 - 0 FC Internazionale - Serie A Jan 13, 2014 - FC Internazionale 1 - 1 Chievo - Serie A Jan 9, 2014 - Udinese 1 - 0 FC Internazionale - Coppa Italia Jan 6, 2014 - Lazio 1 - 0 FC Internazionale - Serie A http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS - INTER February 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Gianluca Rocchi 'One game at a time for Inter' Jan 31, 2014 Juan Jesus has mused on Inter’s ‘one match at a time’ philosophy, as they attempt to end a poor run of form against Juventus this weekend. http://markting10.nl/ La Beneamata head into Week 22 in miserable form, having not yet won in the calendar year and with only the one victory in Serie A since mid-November. “I'm very disappointed with how the new year has started,” began Juan Jesus to Sky Sport 24 this week. “We had the great derby win, and we played well against Lazio albeit wasted too many chances. Now we need to have belief, take things one game at a time and look forward. http://markting10.nl/ “Is there more pressure because we've not been getting results? We play for Inter, there's always pressure and it's worse when you don't win games. The lads are doing well.” The Nerazzurri face Juventus away this Sunday evening. “The Coach always says to us: we need to take things one match at a time and see where we are come the end. http://markting10.nl/ “Are Juve always a frightening prospect, especially at home? We know Juventus are an excellent side who score a lot of goals, they hit three against big teams like Napoli and Roma, but I think the match will always be 11 against 11, and we need to fight for every ball. “What's the right approach? We need to be aware that Juve will go out all guns blazing because that's what they always do, but we need to play like we did at San Siro. We need to stay calm and play football.” The defender was asked of the prospect of new arrivals on deadline day in the transfer window. http://markting10.nl/ “That's up to the club to decide, if someone comes in who can help us, so much the better. “Do I have anything to say to Hernanes? No, he's a good guy, I'd be happy if he were to join the club. “Would he make the difference? I know him from when he played in Brazil, he's quality.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

Llorente: Osvaldo is welcome Jan 31, 2014 Fernando Llorente has mused that Dani Osvaldo is welcome at Juventus, whilst he hopes ‘everything will be resolved’ with Mirko Vucinic. http://markting10.nl/ The Spaniard is in line for extra competition in attack from the weekend, with the Bianconeri closing in on a deal with Southampton for Osvaldo. For the former Athletic Bilbao man, though, it is not an issue to welcome in the former Roma forward. “At Juve, champions are welcome, the competition helps everyone to do better,” Llorente has enthused to reporters. http://markting10.nl/ “I really like him a lot, he is a great player. I met him when he was playing in Spain for Espanyol, we also spoke a little.” Osvaldo’s arrival may come in spite of Mirko Vucinic apparently turning down the change to leave the Bianconeri, even after a failed move to Inter. “For him these have been difficult days, I hope that everything will be resolved in the best way for him and for the club. http://markting10.nl/ “The dressing room is relaxed, between the players we have not spoken about these events. We are just thinking of work, the rest is for the club to think about.” Juve face Inter on Sunday evening in the Derby d’Italia. “I have been told about Inter and the Derby d’Italia, I know that it is a special challenge with great feeling from both teams. http://markting10.nl/ “We are working to put in a great performance and we want to win. It is crucial to return to winning after Roma and Lazio. “I have a great desire to take to the field, for me it will be the first time against the Nerazzurri. “Roma? We know they are a great team, they did very well early in the season, they are now demonstrating their strength, and we cannot relax at all. http://markting10.nl/ “Personal goals? You can always improve, for me it would be important to continue to score with continuity. “Capocannoniere perhaps? Now I just want to help my team to win, everything else will follow on from that. “At a physical level we are working well, I have reached a good level, I am satisfied.”

Marotta: 'Osvaldo, Vucinic opportunities' Jan 30, 2014 Juventus chief Beppe Marotta confirmed Dani Osvaldo “is an opportunity,” but Mirko Vucinic’s future “is up to him.” http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri general manager spoke to journalists at the TMW Awards this evening and naturally was asked about the latest transfer deals. These include Southampton striker Osvaldo and offers from Arsenal, Monaco and Valencia for Vucinic. “It is a transfer window in which Juventus have no need to repair anything and I say that with pride,” smiled Marotta. http://markting10.nl/ “We are evaluating all the opportunities and Osvaldo is undoubtedly an opportunity for everyone. He is an Italian player who will go to the World Cup, so we look at him with interest, but as of today there is nothing.” Today Vucinic’s agent declared he would not be joining Arsenal, as he was determined to remain at Juventus. “Vucinic was at the centre of that intrigue with Inter and had accepted the move, so now he has to decide his future,” added Marotta. http://markting10.nl/ “We respect him, he has some good opportunities open to him and it’s up to him now.” If Vucinic does not leave, then that is bound to stop the Bianconeri bringing in Osvaldo. “We have five strikers, but there is a day and a half left before the deadline, so we’ll evaluate the situation hour by hour.” http://markting10.nl/ Marotta was also asked about Paul Pogba, who is said to be a huge target for Paris Saint-Germain. “We will meet his representatives to discuss the new contract, but it’s not a problem. He already has a contract with us and the player realises Juventus is his natural habitat to continue growing.”

‘Serie A could lose its competitiveness’ Jan 30, 2014 Andrea Agnelli has appealed to Italy’s government to intervene before Serie A and Juventus ‘lose their competitiveness’. AMAZONIAN Hosting the 10th edition of the Giovanni Agnelli Parliamentary Association this week, which calls together a number of political leaders in the peninsula, the Bianconeri’s President took the opportunity to pull support on helping to develop the national game further. “The inaction of this country and this parliament is taking away the competitiveness of Italian football and of Juventus, the leading squad in the sport,” Agnelli is quoted by the giornalaccio rosa dello Sport as delivering. “Football is an exceptional showcase for the country, but its future is in jeopardy. We need serious reforms and fast. We do not ask for finance. AMAZONIAN “We represent every year 1.6 per cent of the national GDP, we only ask that you to develop. Only a single text on sport, a reform of the labour law. Our players are treated as employees, but are billed like companies. “We hope to have our brands better protected against counterfeiting, as is done abroad. And we would like laws on planning, because it cannot be possible that only Juventus has a stadium in Italy at the level of the British and German clubs. “Without these interventions, Juventus will lose competitiveness, while we want to excel in Europe. I am sure that you would like excellence for our country.”

Marotta: 'Juve like Osvaldo' Jan 29, 2014 Juventus chief Beppe Marotta confirmed “we like Dani Osvaldo” and will only sell Mirko Vucinic “if he asks to go.” http://markting10.nl/ The general manager spoke to La giornalaccio rosa dello Sport at an event to commemorate club legend Gianni Agnelli at Palazzo Giustiniani this evening and opened up on some big transfer stories. Sky Sport Italia are increasingly confident Juve will make a formal offer tonight for Southampton striker Osvaldo, who was suspended for attacking teammate Jose Fonte in a training session. They hope to take him on loan for €1.5m with an option to buy at the end of the season. “We like Osvaldo and other clubs like him too,” commented Marotta. “He is an excellent player, but before buying anyone we need to sell.” http://markting10.nl/ Vucinic had been on the verge of completing his transfer to Inter in exchange for Fredy Guarin when it was all called off at the last minute by Nerazzurri President Erick Thohir. “Vucinic? He will leave only if he asks to go.” Marotta was also asked about other stories hitting the headlines recently, including gossip around the future of Gianluigi Buffon’s marriage. http://markting10.nl/ “Antonio Conte will soon renew his contract, there will be no problems with Andrea Agnelli. He can become our Alex Ferguson, even if in Italy a Coach isn’t quite a manager in the same way. “Buffon is going through a difficult moment and has to divide the man from the athlete. I have no doubt he will manage it. He’s a great professional, our captain. He’ll beat away those blows.”

Buffon and Balotelli banned Jan 28, 2014 Gianluigi Buffon and Mario Balotelli are among the Serie A players suspended for Week 22. AMAZONIAN Cagliari have been given a suspended sentence of playing a game behind closed doors for racist abuse aimed at Balotelli after he scored the equaliser at the Stadio Sant’Elia. Balotelli responded to the insults with a vulgar gesture towards the crowd, which was spotted by the referee and punished with a yellow card. Balotelli will be suspended for this weekend’s game against Torino and was fined €10,000 for the gesture. AMAZONIAN Bologna were fined €10,000 for using a phone or radio to communicate with Coach Davide Ballardini, who was sitting out a touchline ban. Buffon was sent off in Lazio-Juventus and therefore suspended for the clash with Inter, while Atalanta’s Davide Brivio is also banned for one round due to his red card. AMAZONIAN Other players suspended for Week 22 are Luca Antei (Sassuolo), Carlos Carmona (Atalanta), Andrea Coda (Livorno), Andrea Cossu (Cagliari), Felipe (Parma), Leandro Greco (Livorno) and Radja Nainggolan (Roma). Chievo Coach Eugenio Corini escaped a touchline ban after his dismissal for repeatedly leaving the technical area in the 1-1 draw with Napoli.

Agnelli: No Thohir talks, but… Jan 28, 2014 Andrea Agnelli has denied having met with Erick Thohir yet, but says his ‘phone is always on’ should the Inter President reach out. AMAZONIAN The Juventus President was rumoured to be meeting with his Nerazzurro counterpart during this week, on from last week’s fall-out between the clubs over the dropped Fredy Guardin-Mirko Vucinic swap deal. “Have I heard from Thohir? Honestly, no, but my phone is on at any hour. I reply to everyone at all times. And Claudio [Lotito] knows that,” half-joked Agnelli yesterday evening. The Juve patron was talking at the Gran Gala del Calcio awards in Milan yesterday evening, accepting Juve’s prize as best club. AMAZONIAN “Our objective is to always win. That’s the verb we state on a daily basis and have been repeating since May, already thinking about the date with history that would be represented by a third successive Scudetto title. “How much does it mean to have a modern stadium? Sports facilities have been an issue on the League and Federation’s agenda for a long time. “It is a key issue, the Juventus Stadium should not remain an isolated jewel in Italian football. AMAZONIAN “And, my personal hope is that all teams in the top division and also in Serie B have stadiums that are at the level that Italian football wants them to be at. “I think FIGC President Abete would agree with me that Italian football wants to go back to being No 1.”

Pirlo: I’ll stay at Juve Jan 28, 2014 Andrea Pirlo has mused on the value of his Player of the Year award and commented of his intention to stay at Juventus. http://markting10.nl/ The 34-year-old was named best playmaker and then Player of the Year at Monday night’s Gran Gala del Calcio, in recognition of efforts in 2012-13. “This award is important, it is even better because I was nominated by my colleagues, which is the best reward for a footballer,” Pirlo reflected in receiving the latter award for a second consecutive year. “How important is that? I think it is the most beautiful thing, they do the same job as me, they see what you do on the field and so I am even more proud to receive this award.” http://markting10.nl/ Speculation is that Pirlo is on the verge of agreeing a new two-year contract to commit to Juventus. “Will I stay at Juve? Yes, yes.”

Klose: Tevez, Llorente have to go Jan 27, 2014 Miroslav Klose has asserted his belief that Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente both ‘deserve’ and ‘have to go’ to the World Cup this summer. AMAZONIAN Both in their first season in Turin, the two Juventus strikers have attracted respective debate over possible returns to their national sides. Whilst Llorente is seen as having re-attracted the attentions of Spain boss Vicente del Bosque, Tevez’s poor relationship with Alejandro Sabella sees hopes with Argentina look unlikely. Considering the prospect of heading out to Brazil and not seeing either striker there with him, Lazio’s leading forward made clear his opinion. AMAZONIAN “A World Cup without Tevez and Llorente would be less spectacular,” Klose told reporters over the weekend. “The two Juventini are great strikers, they both deserve to go to Brazil.” Klose faced the duo in Week 21’s 1-1 draw between Lazio and Juve, with Llorente equalising for the Bianconeri.

Buffon ‘no more worried about Roma’ Jan 27, 2014 Gianluigi Buffon says that he is no more worried about Roma’s title challenge than he was before the latest round of Serie A matches. AMAZONIAN Buffon was sent off in Juve’s 1-1 draw with Lazio on Saturday and the Giallorossi took full advantage, seeing off Hellas Verona 3-1 to cut La Vecchia Signora’s lead at the top of the table to six points. “The situation worries me in the same way as it did before, except that we have two points less of an advantage” commented the 35-year-old. “We knew already that Roma were a strong team.” AMAZONIAN Sunday’s draw represented Juve’s second consecutive game without a win, but Buffon ‘laughed at’ suggestions that alarm bells may be ringing at the Juventus Stadium. Despite his dismissal at the weekend, the Italian No 1 also talked of his improved relationship with match officials on the whole. AMAZONIAN “For me the referees are doing very well. We also have a nice on-field dialogue which helps. “As far as sendings-off go, the rules are harsh. The referees only apply them though so it’s not their fault.”

Del Bosque to consider Llorente Jan 27, 2014 Fernando Llorente’s form for Juventus reportedly has him back in contention for a spot in the Spain squad. http://markting10.nl/ The striker had lost a regular place within Vicente del Bosque’s set-up after a forgettable final year with Athletic Bilbao, predominantly spent on the bench. However, on from growing form midway through his first season with the Old Lady in Serie A, the 28-year-old is seen back in Spain as attracting Del Bosque’s attention once more. “I do not know if this period is that of the best Llorente ever, but it is certainly one of the best,” Llorente mused at the weekend. http://markting10.nl/ “Against Lazio we wanted to win, but we showed character to comeback, even as we were outnumbered. “I’m glad I have helped with my goals. And of course I would like to score every weekend from here to the end. But the key aspect is to keep working. “My secret? Training, coupled with the fact that I can rest and eat well.”

LAZIO 1 - 1 JUVENTUS Antonio Candreva (27′-PG) Fernando Llorente (60′) January 25, 2014 - 8:45 PM Olimpico Stadium — Rome Referee: Davide Massa Attendance: 31000 Conte praises versatile Tevez The Bianconeri coach was pleased with the Argentine attacker's contribution after he put in a stint as a makeshift winger. Jan 26, 2014 Antonio Conte has praised Carlos Tevez for the versatility he displayed in Juventus' 1-1 Serie A draw at Lazio on Saturday evening. http://markting10.nl/ The reigning champions were reduced to 10 men midway through the first half as goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon was dismissed for a foul on Miroslav Klose and Conte was pleased with the role Tevez played as the Italian champions eventually recorded a hard-fought draw. "With the dismissal of Buffon, Tevez was temporarily used in a wide left position, but returned to the front in the closing stages," Conte told Sky Sport Italia. "Tevez did well in the second half to go left when needed to stem Lazio’s attacks, then I moved him back next to Llorente for a 3-4-2. http://markting10.nl/ "This squad has players who can take different roles, but generally not ones who sit in front of the defence. "Claudio Marchisio, Arturo Vidal, Paul Pogba and also Andrea Pirlo are more suited to a three-man midfield." Juventus remain first in Serie A, holding a six-point lead over second-placed Roma after this weekend's results. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

LAZIO 1 - 1 JUVENTUS Antonio Candreva (27′-PG) Fernando Llorente (60′) January 25, 2014 - 8:45 PM Olimpico Stadium — Rome Referee: Davide Massa Attendance: 31000 Lazio coach Reja: Llorente is impossible to mark The Biancocelesti boss hailed the Spanish striker's movement during Saturday night's 1-1 draw with the Italian champions at the Stadio Olimpico. Jan 26, 2014 Lazio coach Edy Reja says that Juventus are such a difficult team to face because of unstoppable players like Fernando Llorente. http://markting10.nl/ The Spain international earned the Bianconeri a 1-1 draw on Saturday with a looping header, after Lazio had moved into the lead through an Antonio Candreva penalty following Gianluigi Buffon's foul on Miroslav Klose and subsequent dismissal. Reja acknowledged how formidable the visitors still looked even when down to 10 men, praising his team's spirit for battling the Turin giants to a stalemate. "The trouble is with Llorente it doesn’t matter how you mark him, he’s going to get the header, so you need to double up and protect the knockdown," the 68-year-old told reporters after the game at the Stadio Olimpico. http://markting10.nl/ "Juventus bypassed our midfield and started to send balls in for Llorente that were very dangerous. They are very talented and at a very high level, so it was not easy even against 10. "We reacted very well. Klose had two or three good chances and I had hoped we would win. We were a little unlucky to hit the woodwork twice. http://markting10.nl/ "Perhaps we should’ve done better on the counterattack. But Marco Storari also performed some extraordinary saves.” Reja, who led the capital outfit between 2010 and 2012, returned to his post following the departure of Vladimir Petkovic in January. The Coppa Italia holders currently sit ninth in Serie A. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

LAZIO 1 - 1 JUVENTUS Antonio Candreva (27′-PG) Fernando Llorente (60′) January 25, 2014 - 8:45 PM Olimpico Stadium — Rome Referee: Davide Massa Attendance: 31000 A point managed, but winning run ends for Juve Jan 26, 2014 The final whistle blew and Paul Pogba fell to the floor, a look of anger and frustration visible on his face as he fought with himself. Most teams would have accepted their fate and the result, having been forced to play with only ten men for the majority of the match. But not Juventus. They desperately wanted that 13th consecutive league victory and did all they could to accomplish it and further demonstrate the winning mentality that Antonio Conte has managed to give the Old Lady. Sadly for them, the run has ended; a 1-1 draw was all they managed in the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday night against Lazio. http://markting10.nl/ What a different Lazio side we saw play, one that possessed none of Vladimir Petkovic's timidity but all of the squad's ferocity. Prior to Petkovic's dismissal, we witnessed a side that was inaccurate with their passing, suffering from a psychological meltdown and incapable of finishing off any good goalscoring opportunities. What we have seen under new manager Edy Reja is a side more willing to fight, that maintained concentration and displayed more confidence on the pitch. Of course, also having Miroslav Klose back playing consistently has made all the difference. The forward continuously put the Bianconeri back-line in danger as he provoked and pounced on every error. His predatory nature coupled with his timely runs forward exposed the vulnerability in the Bianconeri defence and demonstrated just how important he is in guiding Lazio back to winning ways, even if his finishing needs some work. The Biancocelesti opted to play a cautious game initially, closing up gaps and intercepting Juve's passes to win back possession and block vertical penetration. Showing no real urgency to impose their own style of play, it took Klose's runs to change the game. In the first instance, Gianluigi Buffon was forced into demonstrating his footballing skills when he attempted to keep the ball away from Klos. But when the German managed to get past defender Angelo Ogbonna in the 24th minute, Buffon brought the striker down and was shown the red card. http://markting10.nl/ A penalty was conceded and Antonio Candreva scored while Juventus were forced to sacrifice Kwadwo Asamoah to bring on Marco Storari. Remarkably, going down a man inspired Juventus and they started to play a marginally better game in their new 3-4-2 formation, 3-5-1 when not in possession. Despite dominating possession, the decision to play long balls and look for Fernando Llorente by bypassing the midfield tended to frustrate. Often it led to the side losing possession and allowing Lazio the opportunity to work their way back forward, even if they too struggled to keep hold of the ball. One of the few times Juventus actually worked their way up intelligently, relying on short vertical passes, they managed the equaliser. The move was spectacular, the runs superb and Llorente's finish was outstanding. He may not always delight for the entirety of the match, but there's little anyone can do to stop his head from accomplishing the magical. The equaliser aside, the Spaniard's ability to use his strength to hold the ball up allows Juventus the right to play in the final third and continuously construct goal scoring opportunities to push forward. http://markting10.nl/ The second half saw a more determined Bianconeri side, but Lazio never gave up, even if they struggled to make their numerical superiority count. What was interesting was how Juventus' midfielders alternated their roles. Despite taking on the Andrea Pirlo role, we regularly saw that Claudio Marchisio was allowed to make runs forward into the box and press for the ball high up the pitch while Pogba adopted a deeper position than all of the midfielders. We also saw Pogba dribbling forward as Marchisio kept an eye on the defence with Arturo Vidal contributing in all areas of the pitch. Speaking of midfield combinations, Reja deserves credit for making the Cristian Ledesma and Lucas Biglia partnership work, something Petkovic struggled with earlier in the season. With both directors focusing on closing down lanes and distributing the ball, they managed the job well, even if Reja concedes that there is room for improvement. This wasn't the best we've seen from Juventus and concerns have been raised as to how vulnerable the side look when it comes to defending set-pieces. However, this match also demonstrated the side's mental strength and the ambition the players still possess despite all that they have won. It wasn't the victory they wanted, but it was a valuable point achieved nonetheless. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

LAZIO 1 - 1 JUVENTUS Antonio Candreva (27′-PG) Fernando Llorente (60′) January 25, 2014 - 8:45 PM Olimpico Stadium — Rome Referee: Davide Massa Attendance: 31000 Marchisio: '10-man Juve could've won' Jan 26, 2014 Claudio Marchisio couldn’t help but feel disappointed despite 10-man Juventus fighting back for a draw at Lazio. http://markting10.nl/ Gigi Buffon was sent off after 25 minutes, but Fernando Llorente’s extraordinary looping header earned a 1-1 result at the Olimpico. Last night’s draw interrupted Juve’s club record run of 12 consecutive Serie A victories. “It’s a shame, as we wanted to keep winning, especially coming back to Rome three days after the Coppa Italia defeat to Roma,” he told Sky Sport Italia. http://markting10.nl/ “We had great character and kept believing in ourselves. It’s a pity that our tempo was too slow when we were 11 against 11, then with 10 it brought out our character. “In the Buffon red card, two and a half years ago I had a similar incident against Inter and the goalkeeper wasn’t sent off, so I was asking the referee what the difference was. “It’s a sign for us, that we are alive and kicking and always want to reach the result.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

LAZIO 1 - 1 JUVENTUS Antonio Candreva (27′-PG) Fernando Llorente (60′) January 25, 2014 - 8:45 PM Olimpico Stadium — Rome Referee: Davide Massa Attendance: 31000 Conte: 'Juve proved themselves' Jan 25, 2014 Antonio Conte believes the 1-1 draw against Lazio with 10 men “proved why Juventus are top of the table.” http://markting10.nl/ Despite Gigi Buffon’s red card after just 25 minutes, the Bianconeri fought back to earn a point at the Stadio Olimpico. “We wanted to win, both with 11 men and with 10. What we try to drill into the players is a winning mentality and these lads know full well every game must be played to win, even when the goalkeeper is sent off after 25 minutes,” Conte told Sky Sport Italia. “I think that in difficult times the men emerge as well as the players, which is what happened today. http://markting10.nl/ “We picked up a point and I think the team proved again tonight why they are top of the table. Juventus never gave in, continued to play football and trying to win the game despite going down to 10 men. “It’s a shame we interrupt the 12 consecutive Serie A victories, but these things happen and Lazio deserve credit for their performance.” With the dismissal, Carlos Tevez was temporarily used in a wide left position, but returned to the front in the closing stages. http://markting10.nl/ “This squad has players who can take different roles, but generally not ones who sit in front of the defence. “Marchisio, Vidal, Pogba and also Pirlo are more suited to a three-man midfield. Tevez did well in the second half to go left when needed to stem Lazio’s attacks, then I moved him back next to Llorente for a 3-4-2.” There could be few complaints on Buffon’s dismissal, as he brought down Miroslav Klose in the six-yard box. http://markting10.nl/ “Inevitably it’s disappointing that there’s this rule, because I think a penalty is punishment enough without the need for a red card,” added Conte. “I’ve said that for years, regardless of whether it’s in our favour or against, as it ruins the game, especially as sometimes they give a yellow card, sometimes a red, so it’s never quite clear.” Lazio came very close to a winner, as Klose’s header from a Cristian Ledesma free kick was palmed on to the bar by Marco Storari. http://markting10.nl/ “The offside trap didn’t move properly, as Lichtsteiner kept everyone in play and Klose came round the back of Ogbonna. It requires more concentration so everyone moves together.” Conte also reiterated he will not hold a pre-match Press conference ahead of next week’s Juventus-Inter. “I will not speak before the Inter game, nor before any other match for the rest of the season.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

LAZIO 1 - 1 JUVENTUS Antonio Candreva (27′-PG) Fernando Llorente (60′) January 25, 2014 - 8:45 PM Olimpico Stadium — Rome Referee: Davide Massa Attendance: 31000 Reja: 'Never easy against Juve' Jan 25, 2014 Lazio Coach Edy Reja had mixed feelings after holding Juventus, as “we could’ve won, but it’s not easy even against 10 men.” http://markting10.nl/ Gigi Buffon saw red after 25 minutes, but Fernando Llorente’s looping header equalised and in the second half the Biancocelesti hit the woodwork with Miroslav Klose and Keita Balde in a 1-1 draw. “We had a terrible start, as for 20 minutes we were slightly nervous under their pressing. We did better, were a little unlucky to hit the woodwork twice, as we could’ve won,” Reja told Sky Sport Italia. “The team reacted very well, Klose had two or three good chances and I had hoped we would win. Juventus by-passed the midfield and started to float balls in for Llorente which were very dangerous. http://markting10.nl/ “Juve are very talented and at a very high level, so it was not easy even against 10 men. We knew that we could have difficulties in the middle and defending on Carlos Tevez and Llorente, so we used a three-man defence and did well to close down their trajectories in the middle. “Perhaps we should’ve done better on the counter-attack. Marco Storari also performed some extraordinary saves.” Etrit Berisha was a surprise starter in goal yet again, but Reja explained it was Federico Marchetti’s choice to go on the bench. http://markting10.nl/ “Berisha has done very well over the last few games, making the defence feel calm and he reads the game well. I can trust him. “Marchetti was meant to play, but during the week had a few physical problems with a stomach bug and he confessed he didn’t feel well today, so I told him to sit on the bench. He had recovered, but not completely and to face Juventus you need to be at your best.” Lazio adopted a three-man defence this evening and Reja explained his tactical choices. http://markting10.nl/ “We knew Juve came forward with one striker who’d flick it on for the other, so we worked on closing down those vertical lines. There’s also Arturo Vidal who moves down the right and Andre Dias was ear-marked to close down whoever went down that line. “I considered going four at the back, as the team was holding up well in midfield, but I saw Hernanes and Antonio Candreva causing them problems on the flanks and believed we had a certain balance. “The trouble is with Llorente it doesn’t matter how you mark him, he’s going to get the header, so you need to double up and protect the knockdown.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

LAZIO 1 - 1 JUVENTUS Antonio Candreva (27′-PG) Fernando Llorente (60′) January 25, 2014 - 8:45 PM Olimpico Stadium — Rome Referee: Davide Massa Attendance: 31000 Conte to boycott press conferences over Buffon red card at Lazio The Bianconeri boss was infuriated with referee Davide Massa's decision to dismiss the goalkeeper, although he praised his side's character for fighting back when down to 10 men. Jan 25, 2014 Antonio Conte claimed the decision to send off Gianluigi Buffon in Juventus' 1-1 draw at Lazio was harsh. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri captain brought down Miroslav Klose after the German was put through on goal, prompting match official Davide Massa to brandish a red card in addition to awarding a penalty, which was converted by Antonio Candreva. Fernando Llorente ultimately salvaged a point for the Turin giants, though seeing his side go down to 10 men infuriated Conte enough to declare his abstinence from future press conferences. "It’s disappointing there’s this rule, because I think a penalty is punishment enough without the need for a red card," the 44-year-old told reporters after the match. http://markting10.nl/ "I’ve said that for years, regardless of whether it’s in our favour or against, because it ruins the game. Sometimes the referees give a yellow card, sometimes a red, so it’s never really clear. "I will not speak before the Inter game next week, nor before any other match for the rest of the season." Despite his frustration, Conte still reserved praise for his team given the way they fought back to secure a point. http://markting10.nl/ "We wanted to win, both with 11 men and with 10. What we try to drill into the players is a winning mentality and these lads know full well every game must be played to win," he said. "We picked up a point and I think the team proved again tonight why they are top of the table. We never gave in, continued to play football and tried to win the game despite going down to 10." The draw extends the Italian champions' lead at the top of Serie A to nine points, with title rivals Roma due to travel to Hellas Verona on Sunday. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

LAZIO 1 - 1 JUVENTUS Antonio Candreva (27′-PG) Fernando Llorente (60′) January 25, 2014 - 8:45 PM Olimpico Stadium — Rome Referee: Davide Massa Attendance: 31000 Player Ratings Goal runs an eye over the performances at the Stadio Olimpico as the league leaders' 12-game Serie A winning streak ended at the hands of Edy Reja's well-organised side. Jan 25, 2014 LAZIO Etrit Berisha - Standing in for the ill Marchetti, the Albanian shostopper commanded his area well and produced a couple of important saves. Andrè Dias - Dispossessed Tevez well two or three times early on, but was turned far too easily by the Argentine when he swapped passes with Lichtsteiner in the build-up to Llorente's goal. Giuseppe Biava - The Italian defender put in a solid performance for the Biancocelesti as part of a three-man backline alongside Cana and Dias. Lorik Cana - Was unfazed in an unfamiliar role as part of a three-man defence, the Albania international kept the likes of Tevez and Llorente quiet for much of the game, particularly before the break. Lucas Biglia - The Argentine midfielder did exactly what was asked for him as he hassled and harried Juventus' normally dominant midfield for all 90 minutes. Cristian Ledesma - The Italian supplied some inviting free kicks for his team-mates, one of which came very close to stealing all three points as Storari pulled off a fine stop to thwart Klose. Abdoulay Konko - Excelled on the wing for Reja's side, playing an important role defensively and pushing forward effectively whenever possible. Luis Cavanda - The centre-back was responsible for gifting Vidal a goalscoring chance with a dreadful clearance before the break and it was little surprise when he was subbed off. Hernanes - Produced some wonderful passes before the break and linked well with Candreva and Klose in attack for the Biancocelesti. Antonio Candreva - The former Juventus attacker stroked the penalty past Storari to make it 1-0, and the confidence he got from this was clear as he showed no fear in possession for the rest of the game. Miroslav Klose - Stretched Juve's three-man defence with his tireless running and drew the foul that Buffon was sent off for. He also forced a fine save from Storari with a late header. http://markting10.nl/ Substitutions Alvaro Gonzalez - Replaced Cavanda after the break and put in some decent blocks on the edge of his own box. Balde Diao Keita - Brought on with minutes left on the clock and came within a whisker of sealing all three points with a curling strike that hit the post. http://markting10.nl/ JUVENTUS Gianluigi Buffon - The experienced Italy international saw his night end early when he was sent off for catching Klose inside the box in the 24th minute. Andrea Barzagli - Vented his frustrations on the advertising hoardings at one stage, as Juventus' defence struggled against Lazio's dangerous frontline. Angelo Ogbonna - The Bianconeri's utility man showed decent composure on the ball and improved markedly after the break following a shaky first half. Leonardo Bonucci - Could have conceded a penalty for handling the ball late in the first half and produced one or two cynical fouls that gifted the hosts free kicks in promising positions. Stephan Lichtsteiner - His assist for Llorente's equaliser perfectly summed up his pivotal role for the Bianconeri. Bombing down the right, he exchanged passes brilliantly with Tevez, before clipping a cross to Llorente that he glanced past Berisha. Paul Pogba - A fairly quiet performance from the talented 20-year-old, as Lazio flooded the midfield to counter Conte's three-at-the-back formation. Claudio Marchisio - The Italy international drifted in and out of the game at the Stadio Olimpico. He often failed to get close to Hernanes and Candreva, as the two attackers combined with Klose to good effect. Arturo Vidal - The energetic Chile international had less of an impact going forward than he usually does, just days after claiming he was the best midfielder in the world. Kwadwo Asamoah - Sacrificed to bring on a goalkeeper after Buffon was sent off midway through the first half. Carlos Tévez - Frequently ran into light blue brick walls, but he provided a vital contribution to set Lichtsteiner away when the defender supplied the assist for the equalising goal. Fernando Llorente - The former Athletic Bilbao man ensured the Bianconeri left the match with a point by scoring a fine glancing header from 10 yards. Held the ball up brilliantly in the second half. http://markting10.nl/ Substitutions Marco Storari - His first touch of the ball was to pick it out of the net following Candreva's successful penalty, but he put in a solid performance thereafter and made one particularly marvellous save to keep out a header from Klose. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
