  1. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Llorente: 'Milan-Juve a key moment' Mar 1, 2014 Fernando Llorente believes tomorrow night’s trip to Milan is “a key moment” in the Scudetto race for Juventus. http://markting10.nl/ It kicks off at San Siro on Sunday at 20.45 CET. “We do not fear anybody and are going to San Siro in order to win, even if Milan are improving under Clarence Seedorf,” the Spaniard told SportMediaset. “We know how important this game is, as it’s a key moment for the Scudetto. It’s true Milan are a good team, but we have no concerns. http://markting10.nl/ “The objective is to win the title and for that winning at San Siro is fundamental. We are the team to beat and it won’t be easy for anyone.” Llorente has been won over by Bianconeri boss Antonio Conte since joining as a free agent from Athletic Bilbao last summer. “I am happy to have him as a Coach. I needed to work very hard at the start to assimilate the playing style of the team, but that was the way it had to be. http://markting10.nl/ “I learned so much with Conte and he really surprised me.” Despite 12 goals in 29 official club appearances this season, the 29-year-old did not receive a call-up for Spain’s friendly against Italy next Wednesday. “There’s a long way to go before the World Cup. I have to think about doing well with Juventus, which right now is the most important thing.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  2. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Milan squad for Juventus Mar 1, 2014 Mattia De Sciglio, Giampaolo Pazzini and Robinho are available, but Mario Balotelli misses Juventus. http://markting10.nl/ The two teams go head-to-head on Sunday at 20.45 CET. Christian Abbiati and Daniele Bonera return after suffering from flu, while De Sciglio has recovered from a sprained ankle sustained against Atletico Madrid. Balotelli hurt his shoulder in an awkward fall during that Champions League tie and is still not fit enough to play, so left the Milanello training ground today. http://markting10.nl/ Sulley Muntari sits out a ban, while Stephan El Shaarawy and Bryan Cristante are injured. Also included despite not being 100 per cent fit are Urby Emanuelson, Valter Birsa and Robinho. Milan squad for Juventus: Abbiati, Amelia, Gabriel, Abate, Bonera, Constant, De Sciglio, Mexes, Rami, Zaccardo, Birsa, Emanuelson, Essien, De Jong, Honda, Kaka, Montolivo, Poli, Saponara, Taarabt, Pazzini, Petagna, Robinho http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  3. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Juventus squad for Milan Mar 1, 2014 Giorgio Chiellini is back in the Juventus squad to face Milan on Sunday, but Arturo Vidal is suspended. http://markting10.nl/ It kicks off at San Siro tomorrow at 20.45 CET. Chiellini missed Thursday’s 2-0 Europa League victory at Trabzonspor, but is in the list of 21 players making the journey to Milan. Kwadwo Asamoah also passed a late fitness test. http://markting10.nl/ Vidal sits out a one-match ban, while Mirko Vucinic and Simone Pepe are sidelined. Juventus squad for Milan: Buffon, Chiellini, Caceres, Ogbonna, Pogba, Marchisio, Tevez, Giovinco, Peluso, Llorente, Barzagli, Osvaldo, Bonucci, Padoin, Pirlo, Asamoah, Lichtsteiner, Quagliarella, Storari, Isla, Rubinho http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  4. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Balotelli out of Milan-Juventus Mar 1, 2014 Mario Balotelli is out of Milan’s game with Juventus, as he still hasn’t recovered from a shoulder injury. http://markting10.nl/ The striker picked up the problem during the 1-0 Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid. He had resumed training and was hoping to make his comeback on Sunday evening against the Bianconeri. http://markting10.nl/ However, Balotelli was spotted leaving the Milanello training ground, meaning he will not be in the squad. It kicks off at 20.45 CET on Sunday. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  5. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Seedorf: 'Milan-Juve an opportunity' Mar 1, 2014 Clarence Seedorf praised Antonio Conte and Juventus, but sees this game as “an opportunity” for Milan. http://markting10.nl/ It kicks off on Sunday at 20.45 CET. The Dutchman has faced Juve many times in his playing career, but this will be his first as a Coach. “We will have a packed San Siro behind us, just as we did against Atletico Madrid. The lads really need it,” he said in his Press conference. http://markting10.nl/ Mario Balotelli remains in doubt after sustaining a shoulder injury in the 1-0 Champions League defeat to Atleti. “It is also important to have all the players at my disposal, as everyone trained regularly apart from Balotelli and Giampaolo Pazzini. Balo needs to be examined today, while Mattia De Sciglio and Pazzini are available, albeit with a bit of pain. “Pazzini is more experienced than Balotelli and is already a complete player, whereas Mario is still learning. Giampaolo’s motivation is a guarantee.” http://markting10.nl/ Seedorf was asked whether this showdown with leaders Juventus represents a test of Milan’s maturity. “I think the trip to Sampdoria was more than this game. Samp were unbeaten at home in 10 games, whereas against Juve it is an opportunity. “This is my first Milan-Juve as a Coach. I feel honoured and privileged to experience it at such a young age. For the team this is the chance to put in a great performance, build confidence and help us face the rest of the season in the best way. http://markting10.nl/ “Antonio Conte has done a great job and I tip my hat to him. Since winning the title in the first season, Juventus have only improved. When you win the self-confidence grows and players get more accustomed to working together. “I have never worked with Conte, but he certainly helped to renew Italian football. I consider him a very positive influence, like Vincenzo Montella at Fiorentina. I still have everything to prove and am trying to learn quickly. “Serie A is the toughest League in the world precisely because every Coach is well-drilled in tactics. In terms of players the level of individual stars might’ve dropped because the money migrated elsewhere, but it’s still a very high level.” http://markting10.nl/ Seedorf confirmed it is “very probable” Andrea Poli will start tomorrow evening, but shrugged off questions about referees or the infamous Sulley Muntari phantom goal that wasn’t awarded in Milan-Juve. “Muntari’s goal? I don’t remember anything about that. I don’t want to cause controversy, but I share Montella’s comment that we must all try to be united. Controversy is a headache. We should have technology to help referees, who in Italy are very good, but until we do then we’re always going to have these debates.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  6. Vidal: 'Marchisio does it all' Mar 1, 2014 Arturo Vidal praised Juventus teammate Claudio Marchisio and said he could “do anything in midfield.” AMAZONIAN The Chilean is suspended for Sunday night’s showdown with Milan, so Marchisio is set to take his place after filling in for Andrea Pirlo against Trabzonspor. “Marchisio is proving he can move very well as a deep-lying playmaker,” Vidal told Tuttosport. “After all, we already knew Claudio can do anything in midfield. He can be the inside line pushing forward or the man who sets the tempo.” AMAZONIAN There are also reports this recent upturn in form and rediscovered versatility will earn Marchisio a new contract. He had been ready to leave Juve for more playing time with Manchester United interested, but could be awarded a new deal until June 2018. AMAZONIAN Vidal is no stranger to transfer gossip either, as Barcelona, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are among those interested. “I thank anyone who thinks about me, but I am ever more determined to continue my path in this team. I have only one objective: to work day by day and contribute to the success of Juventus.”
  7. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Barzagli ready for Milan and Fiorentina Mar 1, 2014 Andrea Barzagli acknowledges Juventus have a tough time ahead of them against Milan and Europa opponents Fiorentina. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri visit San Siro in Serie A on Sunday evening. “Am I ready to face Mario Balotelli? Of course, I’m ready for him and all of Milan, as it will be a difficult game all over the pitch,” the defender told Sky Sport Italia. “Milan are a fearsome prospect on their own turf. We will both want to win the game, but we must focus only on ourselves.” http://markting10.nl/ Juventus are fresh from a 2-0 victory away to Trabzonspor on Thursday, which set up an intriguing Europa League Round of 16 clash with Fiorentina. “Those two legs will certainly be fascinating. It’s just a shame to be meeting another Italian team at this stage, as I’d have preferred both of us to progress a bit further,” continued Barzagli. “The cities and the fans care a great deal about this match. We know each other well and will do our best to win. Naturally, I hope we can go through.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  8. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Chiellini unlikely to start against Milan Feb 28, 2014 Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini may not be fit enough to face Milan on Sunday evening, according to reports. http://markting10.nl/ The Milan Channel claim that the centre-back, who was a substitute in the Bianconeri’s win over Trabzonspor on Thursday, may not be back in time for the game this weekend. Coach Antonio Conte will decide over the next 36 hours whether to risk starting the Italy international at San Siro. http://markting10.nl/ Should the tactician deem Chiellini not fit however, Angelo Ogbonna is expected to start in the backline. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  9. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Balotelli ‘a serious doubt’ Feb 28, 2014 CalcioNews24 have described Mario Balotelli as a ‘serious doubt’ to be fit for Milan’s match with Juventus on Sunday. http://markting10.nl/ According to reports on the Rossoneri’s official website, the 23-year-old is again not training with the rest of the squad at the club’s Milanello base. Instead, he is said to be doing gym work along with Cristian Zapata and Matias Silvestre. http://markting10.nl/ The Azzurri international was forced off during Milan’s Champions League game with Atletico Madrid and did not feature in their win at Sampdoria last weekend. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  10. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Rami ‘not scared’ of Juve Feb 28, 2014 Milan defender Adil Rami says his side do not fear Juventus ahead of the Serie A meeting between the sides. http://markting10.nl/ The Rossoneri currently sit in ninth place in the table but the Frenchman is convinced Clarence Seedorf’s men can spring a surprise come Sunday. “I think we can do well against the Bianconeri,” Rami told Sportsmediaset. “We have changed our mentality and now we have more belief in ourselves. http://markting10.nl/ “If we play the right way on Sunday we can win. “I want to become a better player under Clarence Seedorf. “I’m the same as I’ve always been since I arrived at the club. http://markting10.nl/ “I always work hard, try to be polite and have faith in what I am doing. “Football will bring you up and knock you down before bringing you back up again.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  11. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Bonucci turns focus to AC Milan match Feb 28, 2014 Fresh off of Juventus’ victory over Trabzonspor in the Europa League, defender Leonardo Bonucci and the team have turned their attention to Milan on Saturday. http://markting10.nl/ Bonucci played all 90 minutes on Thursday that saw the Bianconeri advance 4-0 on aggregate over the Turkish side. Bonucci posted on his Instagram account, stating “Mission Accomplished! Now [we] head to Milan!” The Italian International added, “PS: A hug to the fans that have made the away [trip] but could not attend the game.” http://markting10.nl/ The 26 year old Bonucci, has made 30 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring two goals while adding three assists. Juventus will face Fiorentina in the round of 16 in the Europa League beginning on March 13 in Turin. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  12. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Barzagli: AC Milan will be tough to beat at home Feb 28, 2014 Juventus defender Andrea Barzagli believes that the Old Lady’s match against AC Milan on Sunday will be a tough one. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri will be facing the Rossoneri at the San Siro on Sunday and the 32-year-old feels it will be a challenge to overcome the Milan side at home despite their struggles in the Serie A this season. Barzagli spoke to Sky Sport Italia on Friday about Juve’s game with AC Milan, while also commenting on his team’s advancement in the Europa League, as they’re now set to face Fiorentina in the round of 16 after defeating Trabzonspor 2-0 on Thursday. “Yesterday we did very well [against Trabzonspor], we just wanted to go through to the next round,” said the Italian international. http://markting10.nl/ “However, now we’re only thinking about Milan. It’s an important challenge, deeply felt by us all. “It will be a difficult match, we know that Milan are formidable at home and will want to win. We’ll go there trying to win as well. http://markting10.nl/ “Our upcoming matches with Fiorentina in the Europa League? It’s a fascinating challenge. However, it’s too bad that we’re meeting now. I was hoping to meet an Italian team even further on in the competition. “We know that the two sides feel the challenge quite intensely. We hope to advance past them.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  13. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida How AC Milan Will Line Up Against Juventus Feb 28, 2014 The Serie A weekend heats up as Milan are set to host Juventus on Sunday, with the Rossoneri desperately needing points as they look to continue their recent domestic run under new coach Clarence Seedorf. http://markting10.nl/ Seedorf has lost just one league match since taking over for the maligned Massimiliano Allegri last month and will continue to try to mold the team in his image—quick passes and offensive, with a constant high pressure. Unfortunately, Mario Balotelli will be iffy for the match and is expected to be out of the lineup. Super Mario hasn't yet faced Juventus in Serie A since joining Milan last January. At the back, Marco Amelia is expected to make his third start of the season as Christian Abbiati deals with a minor injury. Even though Amelia has committed errors that would excite Nelson Dida, he looked a lot better in the last match against Sampdoria, where he made a few crucial interventions that kept the Blucerchiati off the scoresheet. http://markting10.nl/ The only certainty on the defensive line is Adil Rami, who continues to impress by not only being a physical presence, but showing calmness while under pressure and the ability to test the opposing goalkeeper from defense when he ventures forward. His partner will most likely be Daniele Bonera, who has been favored over Philippe Mexes. The full-backs will have their hands busy dealing with the constant offensive surges from the Juventus wing-backs, who love to get forward and sling in crosses to the hulking figure of Fernando Llorente. http://markting10.nl/ According to the probable formations from La giornalaccio rosa, youngster Mattia De Sciglio is preferred over Ignazio Abate on the right, while Urby Emanuelson will be deployed on the opposite flank. The two holding midfielders have arguably the toughest job on the pitch as they look to quell the five-man Juventus midfield that sees the likes of Andrea Pirlo, Claudio Marchisio and Paul Pogba approach the box looking to create a score. With Sulley Muntari suspended, Riccardo Montolivo and Michael Essien are expected to be the two chosen to patrol in front of the defense. http://markting10.nl/ Last season, Montolivo had his best match against Juventus, when he almost outshone Pirlo with his defensive efforts and creativity on the ball. He hasn't had the same consistency this season, and will look to get inspired against the top team in the league. Fortunately for the Rossoneri, Arturo Vidal is out due to a suspension. Now here's where it gets very interesting. http://markting10.nl/ The front four for Milan will have their work cut out for them as Seedorf cannot afford to use a game plan similar to the one we saw against Napoli at the San Paolo. It's hard to deal with high pressure when the three attacking midfielders don't have pace. The No. 9 role will go to Giampaolo Pazzini now that Balotelli is ruled out. The Italian striker gives Milan a much different look up front, as he can exploit spaces around the penalty box and has always been an aerial threat. Pazzini also does a decent job holding up the ball and shielding himself from defenders, so he'll have his hands full throughout the match. http://markting10.nl/ The most interesting decision will be whether or not we see Keisuke Honda from the start. The Japanese international still hasn't gotten into the flow of things, and he might be benched in favor of Andrea Poli, who gives Milan plenty of energy up front and was used successfully in the Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid. Kaka is a certainty in the trequartista role, while Adel Taarabt has done everything to cement a spot in the starting 11, for now. http://markting10.nl/ The most important facet of the match will be how Milan can handle Juventus' pressure, and if the possession game Seedorf wants to desperately play doesn't just end in awkward back passes to the defense and a boot upfield. Even though Juventus are favored, Milan are hitting their best form of the season and can keep their heads high after a positive performance against Atleti in Europe. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  14. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Preview: AC Milan vs. Juventus Feb 28, 2014 Juventus will be looking to maintain their lead at the top of Serie A when they travel to the San Siro to face AC Milan on Sunday. http://markting10.nl/ Antonio Conte's side sit nine points clear at the summit after their 1-0 victory over Torino last Sunday. Juve come into this match off the back of a 2-0 win over Trabzonspor in the Europa League on Thursday evening. Milan's form has improved under new coach Clarence Seedorf, with the Rossoneri winning their last two matches, the latest coming at Sampdoria last weekend. http://markting10.nl/ Milan striker Mario Balotelli could miss the match with a shoulder injury, so Giampaolo Pazzini is expected to start should the Italy international fail to recover in time. Goalkeeper Christian Abbiati could return to the side after shaking off an illness. Conte is expected to bring strikers Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente back into the side after the pair were named on the bench for the match against Trabzonspor. http://markting10.nl/ Recent form AC Milan: WWDLWW Juventus: WDWDWW Possible starting lineups AC MILAN: Abbiati; Abate, Rami, Zaccardo, Constant; Montolivo, Muntari, Honda, Saponara, Taarabt; Pazzini JUVENTUS: Buffon; Caceres, Bonucci, Ogbonna, Isla; Vidal, Marchisio, Pogba, Peluso; Tevez, Llorente Sports Mole says: 0-1 http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  15. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Montolivo: Milan needed a jolt Feb 28, 2014 Riccardo Montolivo says that whilst he is grateful to Max Allegri, Milan ‘needed a jolt’, and that replacement Clarence Seedorf will ‘become great’. http://markting10.nl/ The Rossoneri made the managerial switch in January and have since seen form in Serie A take an upturn. Ahead of this weekend’s home clash with League leaders Juventus, Montolivo has reflected on how it was a necessary step. “In recent months, the atmosphere at Milanello was not as serene, the team needed a jolt,” explained the midfielder in today’s edition of the giornalaccio rosa dello Sport. http://markting10.nl/ “I am grateful for Allegri has given me so much and he wanted me at Milan. “Seedorf is a Coach who is very communicative, he is attempting to get all his concepts across and in the most direct way possible. “Cohesion and even balance within the group are the aspect which he is looking to more.” http://markting10.nl/ Seedorf has overseen a formation change to a 4-2-3-1, where he has spoken of looking to introduce six attacking players on to the same field. “If the interpretation of the formation is that which we saw in Genoa [away to Sampdoria last weekend], that’s great. “There are a few problems, however, if the midfielders are distinctly offensive. http://markting10.nl/ “Going from three midfielders to two completely changes the way you play. Beyond this, when a Coach changes then the atmosphere is given that shock, and right now the difference is in that. “Seedorf is destined to be a great Coach, with an important career, but he has just started - we need to give him the chance to go wrong.” Montolivo considered the weekend challenge against the Old Lady. http://markting10.nl/ “Against the Bianconeri was probably the most beautiful day since I have been at Milan. Last year at San Siro, when Abbiati was ruled out, I found the captain’s armband on my arm. It was the first time. “We need a victory against a big team, for reasons relating to the table, but also for our self-esteem. http://markting10.nl/ “And with Juventus it is the right night in which to do it. “We know that we have the capability and quality to play a great game and to cause them trouble.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  16. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Milan do not fear Juventus - Bonera The veteran defender is confident the Rossoneri can get a good result on Sunday, but has warned against the threat of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente. Feb 28, 2014 Daniele Bonera has made it clear that AC Milan do not fear Juventus ahead of this weekend's Serie A encounter at San Siro. http://markting10.nl/ The Rossoneri sit only ninth in the league table at the moment and are trailing the leaders by 31 points, yet Bonera is confident they can get a good result on Sunday when they host the reigning Italian champions. "We know there’s a long road ahead of us but we’re not afraid of Juventus," Bonera, 32, told Milan Channel. "We want to continue with the good results we’ve been starting to get recently." http://markting10.nl/ The defender then went on to single out the attacking partnership of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente as Juventus' biggest threat, but warned his team-mates there's more to the reigning champions than just their attack. "Tevez and Llorente are a good mix as you can see from the numbers, but it’s not just those two. The rest of the team support them very well. They have great individual players in the middle and at the back." Milan were beaten 3-2 by Juventus when both sides met earlier this season in Turin, although they have changed coaches since then, with Clarence Seedorf now in charge following Massimiliano Allegri's disposal in mid-January. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  17. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Kaka eyes Juve ‘derby boost’ Feb 28, 2014 Ricky Kaka has labelled Milan’s clash with Juventus as an ‘international derby’ that represents a valuable three points for the Rossoneri. http://markting10.nl/ San Siro will host Week 26’s clash between the traditional title rivals, with Juve currently leading the table and Milan sat in ninth position, 31 points behind. Despite the disparity, the game is eagerly anticipated and represents a real opportunity, according to Il Diavolo’s Brazilian playmaker. “The game against Juventus is a derby of Italy, an international derby, games that are felt deeply by us as players, by you in the media and by the fans,” Kaka has told Sky Sport Italia this week. http://markting10.nl/ “All week you live waiting for this derby. We hope to be able to write another small page in the history of Milan, to say: ‘We played a great match against a great team’. “For us, the three points are very important for the table but also on an emotional level and for our growth. “To beat Juve would give us a great boost for the end of the season. This Juventus is very strong, they have great talent and are doing well. http://markting10.nl/ “Clarence Seedorf? Now it is a good moment, we can see the light. We are on the right track. “He has his own way and is very particular. He has taken a bit of everything and now has his own style, he is trying got put into practice his own philosophy and his work. “I am a person who has trust for the relationship that we have.” http://markting10.nl/ “Antonio Conte? I do not know his way of working, but, he has something special, because to win the League three years in a row is not easy, you have to have something special. “I’m also a bit curious to know his secrets, I like being on the outside, but then to better judge him I would need to be with him every day.” Kaka returned to Milan last summer after four years away at Real Madrid. http://markting10.nl/ “After what happened with Manchester City [who had a rejected bid in 2009], I saw that the club had opened the door to the possibility of my sale, more or less I knew that I would probably be sold. “These things happen, and from it came a beautiful time, I had in Madrid a very special experience, whilst it will remain in the history of Milan that I went away and returned four years later.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

It has been a particularly tense last few days due to controversy over the Turin Derby and Fiorentina’s anger at Andrea Gervasoni. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Balotelli doubt for Milan Feb 28, 2014 Milan forward Mario Balotelli’s involvement in this weekend’s match against Juventus has today been placed in further doubt. http://markting10.nl/ SkySport24 are reporting that the 23-year-old is not training with the rest of the squad this afternoon at Milanello, due to the fact he is still feeling pain in his right shoulder. The Azzurri international was forced off during last week’s Champions League game with Atletico Madrid with the problem and did not feature in Sunday’s win at Sampdoria. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  20. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida ‘Juve match will be benchmark’ Feb 28, 2014 Milan defender Daniele Bonera thinks his side’s upcoming game with Juventus will be an important benchmark in their development. http://markting10.nl/ The Rossoneri have been in good form of late and the 32-year-old believes the match against the defending Italian champions will be a good stepping stone on their journey under Clarence Seedorf. “Recent results have been positive and have brought back some confidence,” Bonera told the Milan Channel. “We have begun a journey that we know will be a long one and on Sunday we will face an important and difficult test. http://markting10.nl/ “We want to continue on our journey of growth. “The only bad thing about the game with Atletico Madrid was the result. “We need to reproduce that performance and every player needs to be in the best possible condition.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  21. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Balo & De Sciglio fit for Juve? Feb 28, 2014 Milan have been given good news regarding the fitness of Mario Balotelli and Mattia De Sciglio ahead of the weekend. http://markting10.nl/ The pair had been struggling with injuries going into this Sunday’s clash with League leaders Juventus. However, according to Corriere dello Sport, the diagnosis on Balotelli’s shoulder knock and De Sciglio’s ankle sprain are both good. http://markting10.nl/ The paper reports that Clarence Seedorf will find out on Thursday whether the duo will be fit to face the Bianconeri, but early indications are that both will play. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  22. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Serginho: Milan can get Juve result Feb 28, 2014 Serginho believes that Milan are capable of getting a result next weekend against Juventus, in a game ‘more difficult’ than that with Atletico Madrid. http://markting10.nl/ The Rossoneri are looking in early March to overcome a one-goal deficit to Los Colchoneros in the Champions League Last 16 second leg, at the Vicente Calderon. Before that, though, they host Juve in the League in Week 26, which is a more difficult challenge, according to their former Brazilian full-back. http://markting10.nl/ “Juve are playing a spectacular championship, with champions that are making a difference,” began Serginho this week on Milan Channel. “Milan-Juve is a game that will test this Milan, more so than Atletico, but the Rossoneri are capable in difficult games and draw strength, all quality players like to play in these great games. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  23. MILAN - JUVENTUS March 2, 2014 - 8:45 PM Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium — Milan Referee: Marco Guida Balotelli a Juve doubt, Pazzini… Feb 28, 2014 Mario Balotelli reportedly remains a doubt to make Milan’s clash with Juventus next weekend, whilst Giampaolo Pazzini has a broken nose. http://markting10.nl/ Balotelli is reported today as still uncertain to make the Rossoneri’s Week 26 meeting at home with the Bianconeri, for his continued recovery from a shoulder injury sustained last midweek against Atletico Madrid. Causing the Italy international to skip the weekend win at Sampdoria, reports have it that Milan’s medical staff will only make a decision on his availability for next weekend just ahead of the fixture. Meanwhile, Pazzini is also heading into that clash with an injury to take care of, having suffered a broken nose during the Rossoneri’s match at Marassi yesterday. http://markting10.nl/ Medical staff have worked to reduce the 29-year-old’s injury and he is seen as in contention to be available to face the Old Lady, but is seen as likely to have to wear a protective face mask. Also, it is suggested that Robinho could make his return next weekend after more than two weeks out with a thigh injury. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  24. TRABZONSPOR 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (18′) Pablo Daniel Osvaldo (33′) February 27, 2014 - 9:05 PM Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadyumu — Trabzon Referee: Pavel Kralovec (Czech Republic) Turkish delight for the Old Lady Bianconeri advance to the last 16 of the Europa League following a very impressive performance against Trabzonspor in Turkey. Feb 28, 2014 Juventus found themselves in the unusual position of making their second visit to Turkey in the space of three months for an encounter that would determine whether or not they advance to the next stages of European competition. http://markting10.nl/ This game was a far cry from the debacle against Galatasaray last December. This game was more of a walk in the park. The game at the Ataturk was like overcoming one of those mud-filled military obstacle courses. Add some wooden poles and barbed wire to the field and it would have been. Literally. The game versus Galatasaray was, due to earlier incompetence in the group stages as well as circumstances I've eluded to above, an incredibly uncomfortable game that ended with a real sour taste in the mouth for all Juventini. Coming into Thursday night's game with a 2-0 lead, there was a completely different feel to it and it had a much more relaxed atmosphere. Nevertheless, the Juve players came flying out of the traps and took the initiative immediately. Almost as if Antonio Conte had warned the team to finish this tie off early so that the team could start preparing for Sunday's big game against Milan. http://markting10.nl/ It only took four minutes for Juve to create their first real opportunity of the game with Mauricio Isla's shot being deflected onto the upright. This moment would set the tone for Isla for the night, as the Chilian spent most of the game attacking the right hand flank and causing a lot of problems for the Trabzonspor defence. Another player who has not been as integral to Juve this season as he would have liked is Claudio Marchisio, and his performance in the regista role was very encouraging. In the space of a few early first half minutes Il Principino had a good effort on goal and put in a muscular tackle in midfield which led to an attack and Arturo Vidal chance. This high-tempo start from Juve was suiting the energetic Marchisio and as the game progressed, he started to show how good his passing range was. Something he normally doesn't get the opportunity to display. As the minutes started to pass Juve started creating chance after chance. Paul Pogba had a great effort on goal and shambolic defending from Trabzonspor saw multiple efforts from Juve players following a corner which ended with a Federico Peluso strike ruled out for offside. http://markting10.nl/ Conte was becoming irate on the sidelines due to the lack of decisiveness in front of goal but his emotions soon turned to joy after some brilliant interplay between Sebastian Giovinco and Dani Osvaldo led to the opener in the 17th minute by who else but Vidal. This was the Chilean internationals 17th goal of the season. Not bad for a midfielder. As the first half progressed, Giovinco and Osvaldo's performances improved and their movement was causing havoc in the Trabzonspor defence. This was a team that had not been beaten in the previous seven Europa League games they had played at home this season. Granted, there is clearly a gap in quality between this competition and the Champions League. The way in which Juve tore apart the Trabzonspor defence was very impressive. It was a very different game to the first leg affair and Juve captain Gigi Buffon could have been playing Flappy Bird on his phone (if he had downloaded it in time) for most of the first half without any problems. http://markting10.nl/ Juve did ease off the gas for a period after the opening goal, but in the 32nd minute some more brilliant play led to the second goal of the night. A beautifully weighted pass (à la Pirlo) from Marchisio to Giovinco who then crossed for Osvaldo to nod it home saw Juve essentially book their place in the last 16 with an hour left on the clock. Conte clearly felt this was the case as he replaced Pogba with Simone Padoin 10 minutes before half time, clearly with one eye on the San Siro at the weekend. With such a big lead in the game the second half essentially became a non-event. Giovinco, Osvaldo and Padoin all came close to extending Juve's lead and Ogbonna was unlucky not to get awarded a penalty. Conte replaced Martin Caceres and Marchisio with Andrea Barzagli and Andrea Pirlo, respectfully. Both players had put in a good shift and with Vidal's suspension against Milan the 20 minutes rest to Marchisio made sense. The scoreline tonight was the same as the first leg but they were very different affairs. This performance was impressive in every department and saw many players who have found themselves on the periphery of the first team perform to a really high level. This is very encouraging for Conte and a huge credit has to go to him for getting such a positive attitude from each and every one of his squad players. http://markting10.nl/ You can see that the tournament means a lot to the team with the final being in Juventus Stadium and progression to the last 16 in Trabzponsor will go somewhat towards exorcising those ghosts of Istanbul last December. Awaiting Juve in the last 16 happens to be Serie A rivals Fiorentina, a team that will also provide Conte's side with the opportunity to exorcise some ghosts of the recent past. Although that defeat in Florence perhaps kick started Juve's season in earnest I'm sure Conte and co will be out for revenge. The fact that both legs are immediately following the Serie A meeting between both clubs makes it all the more intriguing. Let's not forget that Juve and Fiorentina met in the UEFA Cup Final in 1990. I'm sure Juventini will accept a similar scoreline in the next round. http://markting10.nl/ PAGELLE Buffon: 6.5 – Was a passenger for most of the game, but when called upon was up to the job. A familiar days work for San Gigi. Caceres: 6.5 – A good performance from the Uruguayan in what was not the most challenging night defensively. Bonucci: 7 – in the absence of Chiellini and Barzagli was the defensive leader tonight. Ogbonna: 7 - An impressive performance that will improve his confidence. Made some attacking runs one of which could have resulted in a penalty. Isla: 7.5 – One of the Chileans better performances in a Juve shirt. Turned back the clock to his Udinese days with some marauding runs and crosses down the right hand side. Unlucky not to score early in the first half. Vidal: 7.5 – Showed great hunger and desire to be there for the opening goal when most midfield players would not be following up. His goals will be vital in Europe. Marchisio: 7.5 - Great to see him performing so competently in the vice-Pirlo role. Conte will have been impressed with his application and ability on the ball Pogba: 6.5 – This was almost a SV for the Frenchman as he wasn't really an integral part of the game. Had a nice effort on goal prior to being substituted. Peluso: 7.0 – Covered the left flank well and had a goal ruled for offside in the first half. Wasn't really tested defensively. GIOVINCO: 8.0 – Really impressive performance from the diminutive forward. Excellent movement and passing throughout. The only thing lacking was a goal. Combined really well with strike partner Osvaldo Osvaldo: 7.5 – Has fitted very well into Conte's side. Scored his second goal in two Europa League games. His signing has already been justified. Subs: Padoin: 6.5 – Came on early for Pogba in a game that was already decided. Almost scored in the second half. Pirlo: s/v Barzagli: s/v Coach: Conte: 7.5 – Credit has to go to Conte in how Juve took this game by the scruff of the neck. These Europa League ties will provide some valuable European experience for him.
  25. TRABZONSPOR 0 - 2 JUVENTUS Arturo Vidal (18′) Pablo Daniel Osvaldo (33′) February 27, 2014 - 9:05 PM Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadyumu — Trabzon Referee: Pavel Kralovec (Czech Republic) Juventus finally perform to expectations in Europe Feb 28, 2014 At long last we see Juventus perform to expectation in Europe, playing the mesmeric brand of football that has enchanted Italian viewers. Had they performed with the same courage and conviction in the Champions League, they would have perhaps been well on their way to qualifying for the quarter-finals, but instead they jetted off to Turkey to defeat Trabzonspor 2-0 in the Europa League, leaving the Turks feeling inadequate in the face of such superior opponents. http://markting10.nl/ Essentially, Trabzonspor's failure to manage a performance was due to their inability to deal with Juventus' runners from midfield who continuously exposed the back-line. With options everywhere, it was difficult for the Turks to contain the pressure. Yet despite the Old Lady's fluid movements and accurate passing, the Black Sea giants must acknowledge that their lax approach in defending dangerous moves cost them dearly. A perfect example of this was when Arturo Vidal went running to latch onto the loose ball to score the first goal. The Turkish defender closest to the action stood and watched before attempting to run and block the Chilean. Had he moved faster, he may have rescued his side, but instead Vidal was left to score his 17th goal of the season. The player has netted in every competition under Antonio Conte. Relaxed attitudes aside, it was more surprising to see how poor the Black Sea outfit were at closing down the spaces, with gaps visible even between the two centre-backs. However, the team's biggest problem was most definitely the ease with which defenders were dragged out of position. Sebastian Giovinco greatly enjoyed taking advantage of such a weakness. The maestro behind all of Juve's best attacking passages, he showed great intellect with his movements. One in particular was when he moved to the right, got past his man, dragged all the defenders away and left Pablo Osvaldo, who had made a great run forward, with ample space to latch onto his pass and strike unmarked. The chance was wasted but the ease with which an entire back-line shifted to mark one player who engaged their attention was truly shocking. http://markting10.nl/ To note all of Giovinco's brilliance would require an infinite amount of words. He was simply dazzling to watch: His understanding of space, his intellectual runs, his fast feet and quick brain; but nothing proved as impressive to watch as his awareness -- that quick look up to notice the situation developing around him and then to execute the perfect pass. His excellence was perfectly encapsulated in a move just before halftime when he dropped deep with his back to goal, quickly looked up and delivered a sublime diagonal pass to Mauricio Isla on the right. Sadly, it was another wasted opportunity. His moves ensured the others scored and Osvaldo was quick to pay tribute to his partner for his goal. It's a shame that Giovinco's own finishing proved so underwhelming. If he is to score goals then he must work on his aim as his shots are often struck straight at the goalkeeper -- that marvellous goalkeeper, Onur Kivrak, who kept Trabzonspor from being utterly humiliated. The Turkish side owe much to their outstanding man between the sticks who not only boasts quick reflexes but an excellent vision that allowed him to come out at the right times to prevent his team from conceding even more goals. The way in which he would spread himself forced the Juve forwards into making better finishes -- hence the squandering of so many chances. http://markting10.nl/ While Osvaldo has proved capable of forming an important part of this team, his decision-making in front of goal must be improved. Very often his final decision was seemingly bizarre, while he was responsible for wasting several opportunities on goal. With the result practically assured, both he and Giovinco were allowed to get away with their profligacy, but against better opposition, this will need to change to avoid provoking nervy endings to matches. As for Trabzonspor, they were left feeling despondent. Poor defensively, their attack failed to trouble the visitors as they struggled for control of the ball. Their attempts to press Juventus high up the pitch in hopes of winning the ball in an advantageous position to strike worked against them. Juventus instead, used this to their advantage by overcoming their midfield to create a numerical superiority upfront. Pitted against a side with such superior quality, they were lulled into a false sense of confidence in the first leg. They may have lost 2-0 but they were sure they could cause some damage at home and in front of their own fans. However, on this occasion the real Juve, the one we witness win with such ease week in and week out in Serie A, turned up determined to play. http://markting10.nl/ One must also take a moment to acknowledge the excellence of Claudio Marchisio, a player who is rarely allowed to start. He played a truly remarkable game in Andrea Pirlo's role. His ability to adapt to different positions and still introduce his own personal take on them makes him a valuable asset to the team, while his professional attitude in awaiting his chances to play are that of a team player, one Conte is especially happy to have. A game plan perfectly executed by a coach who assessed and studied his opponent closely, one only hopes Juventus continue to play with such determination for the rest of the competition -- especially as they face Fiorentina next.
