  1. ‘Pogba will join PSG this summer’ Jan 9, 2014 FIFA agent Ernesto Bronzetti has hypothesised that Juventus will sign Paul Pogba to a new contract, but then sell him to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer. http://markting10.nl/ The Frenchman has been linked with PSG as well as Real Madrid in recent months, for his development so far in Turin. On from increasing reports and indications from the Bianconeri that they will open contract renewal talks with the 20-year-old shortly, Bronzetti has offered his view. “Pogba to PSG is a scenario that is quite clear. In June he will go,” the agent, who has worked closely with Juventus in the past, has told Premium Calcio today. http://markting10.nl/ “It is not done, but it is an operation that I see happening in the end. “Juve will not decline an offer of €50m to €60m, whilst I also believe that would be good. “I think that in the coming months they may reach a preliminary renewal and then he will be sold in the summer. http://markting10.nl/ “In the deal, however, I do not think Verratti can be included.” Bronzetti commented also in this interview that ‘Juventus offered €30m for Gonzalo Higuain’ in the summer, before reflected on Real Madrid’s apparent interest in Andrea Pirlo and previous reports linking Giorgio Chiellini with the Spaniards. “Pirlo has never been a goal of Real Madrid’s. [President Florentino] Perez does not buy those aged over 30. http://markting10.nl/ “Chiellini was very close to Real Madrid for about €25m to €30m, but [then Coach Jose] Mournho decided to focus on [Ricardo] Carvalho.” Bronzetti also represents Carlo Ancelotti, who last summer left PSG to take over at Real Madrid. “He had been chosen by Manchester United before Moyes, but he had already given his word to Real Madrid.”
  2. Juve target Pogba after Pirlo Jan 9, 2014 Assumed off to a strong start in renewal talks with Andrea Pirlo, Juventus officials will reportedly start proceedings on a new contract with Paul Pogba. http://markting10.nl/ A number of Italian outlets yesterday picked up on Pirlo’s presence at club headquarters on Wednesday as a sign of contract renewal talks have begun, and perhaps having already seen an agreement on a two-year deal reached. On from the assumption that a deal to commit the playmaker until June 2016 is close, reports today highlight club officials as looking to initiate talks with Pogba over a contract extension. http://markting10.nl/ Tuttosport report that director general Beppe Marotta is hoping to open up talks soon with Pogba’s representative Mino Raiola. With the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain having been previously linked with the Frenchman, the Bianconeri are seen as requiring a ‘major economic effort’ in order to renew the former Manchester United youngster’s current deal.
  3. Manchester United make offer for Marchisio Jan 8, 2014 Current English Premier league champions Manchester United have reportedly made an offer for Juventus’ midfield man Claudio Marchisio. AMAZONIAN The Red Devils are keen to strengthen their midfield after a very disappointing start to their season, which has seen them fall 11 points behind league leaders Arsenal. Forza Italian Football has learned that the Manchester giants made an offer of around €25 million for the 27-year-old, who has appeared on 13 occasiona in Serie A for the Bianconeri this season. AMAZONIAN United also enquired about the availability of French starlet Paul Pogba, who signed for Juve from the English side, but that request was flatly refused. Marchisio, a current Italian international, has found his place in the Juventus starting eleven under threat with the emergence of Pogba, thus with the impending World Cup in Brazil, he may well favour the chance of regular football elsewhere.
  4. Pirlo agrees Juve contract? Jan 8, 2014 There are reports Andrea Pirlo has agreed a contract extension with Juventus after he was spotted at the club HQ. http://markting10.nl/ The 34-year-old midfielder’s current deal expires at the end of the season, fuelling rumours he could be snapped up on a free transfer by Real Madrid. Several different Italian news sources confirmed Pirlo was spotted at the Bianconeri headquarters this afternoon with President Andrea Agnelli, directors Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici. http://markting10.nl/ It’s reported Pirlo accepted the offer of a new two-year contract worth €4m per season plus performance-related bonuses.
  5. 'I haven't thought about leaving Juve' Jan 7, 2014 Kwadwo Asamoah has insisted that he has ‘never thought’ about leaving Juventus and is happy at the club. AMAZONIAN The Ghana international has been an integral part of the Bianconeri XI this season, playing in 15 League games. And the 25-year-old has claimed that he wants to stay with the Old Lady for the foreseeable future. AMAZONIAN “I have not spoken with anyone about my future,” he told Goal.com. “I’m doing well at Juventus, which is one of the biggest in the world. “It has never occurred to me to leave for another club.”
  6. Marotta: We will renew Pirlo Jan 7, 2014 As Beppe Marotta reportedly probes Andrea Pirlo’s environment for indications, he comments: “There is no possibility of a separation.” http://markting10.nl/ Juventus are believed set to open negotiations this February on extending Pirlo’s current contract beyond its expiry at the end of this season. However, the giornalaccio rosa dello Sport report that director general Marotta will look to pick up an indication from the player’s immediate environment on what his intentions may be. Juve are seen to be preparing a two-year offer paying €4m per season to try and keep the playmaker in their ranks beyond this summer. http://markting10.nl/ It is understood that Pirlo is looking for a three-year contract, with Tottenham said to still be pushing with their own offer, but Marotta has revealed his confidence on Juve’s position. “With Pirlo there is no possibility of separation, I can say that his contract will be extended as soon as possible, since relations are excellent,” Marotta has told reporters today. “The duration of his contract? We will let you know when it is defined.”
  7. Marotta: Pirlo exit out of the question The 34-year-old playmaker has been linked with a reunion with Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid in recent weeks but is now said to be on the verge of extending his stay in Turin. Jan 7, 2014 Andrea Pirlo's Juventus contract is due to expire in the summer but general manager Giuseppe Marotta has reassured fans that the midfielder is close to signing a new deal with the club. http://markting10.nl/ The veteran playmaker's three goals in 14 league appearances have boosted the Bianconeri's bid for a third successive Serie A title and, thanks to Sunday's 3-0 win over second-placed Roma, the reigning champions are now eight points clear at the top of the table. Marotta is happy with the way his team have performed this season and has stated that the club are not looking to offload anybody during the January transfer window. "The team is a strong and functional group and we do not want to sell anybody," he is quoted as saying by La giornalaccio rosa dello Sport. http://markting10.nl/ "We have a plan that goes on for three years and, at this moment in time, there is no possibility of selling Pirlo, even though his contract is coming to the end. “Relations are excellent between Pirlo and the club and we are currently seeking to prolong his contract.” Marotta is also confident that Paul Pogba, who has reportedly attracted the interest of Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, will still be at Juventus Stadium next season. http://markting10.nl/ "He is a very good football player and so the eyes of big clubs are on him, but we don't want to sell him," he told Rai 2. "We will soon talk with his agent about his contract too." Juventus, meanwhile, have been linked with Parma attacker Jonathan Biabiany and PSG winger Jeremy Menez but Marotta revealed that there are unlikely to be any new additions to Antonio Conte's squad before the end of the month. http://markting10.nl/ "They are very good players but we are not seeking players like them; the group is strong," he declared. "We are not particularly interested in the January market."
  8. Neuer ends Casillas' reign as World's Best Goalkeeper The Bayern Munich ace beat Juventus captain Gianluigi Buffon to the annual award, which had been won by Real Madrid's out-of-favour shot-stopper for the past five years. Jan 7, 2014 Manuel Neuer has been named as the World's Best Goalkeeper by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS). http://markting10.nl/ The 27-year-old shot-stopper, who won five trophies with Bayern Munich in 2013, while at the same time helping Germany qualify for this summer's World Cup in Brazil, was the clear victor of the vote, which brings together editors and experts from 70 countries. Neuer finished with 211 points, a staggering 133 clear of his closes rival, Italy and Juventus captain Gianluigi Buffon, who has four previous triumphs to his name. http://markting10.nl/ Chelsea's Petr Cech finished third, just ahead of the Blues' Thibaut Courtois, who is currently on loan at Atletico Madrid. Victor Valdes, who is to leave Barcelona at the end of the season, came home fifth, with Real Madrid's out-of-favour goalkeeper Iker Casillas, who had won the award for the past five years, claiming sixth place.
  9. JUVENTUS 3 - 0 ROMA Arturo Vidal (17') Leonardo Bonucci (48') Mirko Vučinić (77'-Pen) January 5, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Barzagli: Roma caused Juventus problems The centre-back has insisted that Sunday's encounter was not as easy for the titleholders as the final result might suggest. Jan 6, 2014 Juventus defender Andrea Barzagli has admitted that Roma made life difficult for the Bianconeri in Sunday's Serie A encounter, despite running out 3-0 winners. http://markting10.nl/ Arturo Vidal gave Juventus the lead after 17 minutes of play, before Leonardo Bonucci and Mirko Vucinic put the match to bed after the break. However, Barzagli has stressed that it was not an easy win for the reigning Italian champions. "It was a difficult, hard-fought encounter," Barzagli was quoted as saying on the official Juventus website. http://markting10.nl/ "Roma have great players and caused us some problems, but we did really well to give so little away and make the most of the chances we created." Juventus moved eight points clear of Roma following Sunday's win, but Barzagli echoed the sentiments of coach Antonio Conte in declaring that the title race is by no means over just yet. http://markting10.nl/ "It’s perhaps best not to think about the table at the moment. "We have a considerable advantage now, but there are too many games to be played and we mustn't let our guard down." http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  10. JUVENTUS 3 - 0 ROMA Arturo Vidal (17') Leonardo Bonucci (48') Mirko Vučinić (77'-Pen) January 5, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Juventus still have a long way to go, says Conte The 44-year-old has voiced his delight with Sunday's victory over Roma, but has insisted they cannot afford to get complacent. Jan 6, 2014 Juventus coach Antonio Conte feels it's too soon to claim that the Serie A title race is already over following the Bianconeri's 3-0 win over Roma on Sunday. http://markting10.nl/ The reigning champions have moved eight points clear of the Giallorossi after this weekend's victory, yet Conte has warned that anything can still happen between now and the end of the season. "The eight-point gap is important but we can’t afford to let it pull the wool over our eyes and lose concentration. Anything is still possible, just look at how we’ve made up 13 points on Roma," the successful coach told the Juventus website. "Sunday’s victory is just an important step. We’ve still got one more game in Cagliari to round off the first half of the season, then on with the second. http://markting10.nl/ "When you play against great teams like Roma you need to take advantage of their weak points. It would have been a problem had we not adequately prepared from a tactical point of view." Juventus resume Serie A action away against Cagliari on Sunday. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  11. ‘Eight points an advantage, but…’ Jan 6, 2014 Andrea Barzagli says Roma gave Juventus ‘headaches for 60 minutes’ yesterday and has warned that the title race is not yet over. AMAZONIAN The Bianconeri ran out 3-0 winners over the nine men of the Giallorossi in Sunday evening’s meeting between Serie A’s top two, to hand the Turin side a sizeable eight-point advantage in the title race. “Is the Scudetto in our pocket? How can I respond? There are still 20 games left,” Barzagli has warned, however, to suggestions the Old Lady have things wrapped up. “Certainly this was an important game, because it was a direct confrontation. Eight points is a good advantage, but there is still so much until the end of the season. AMAZONIAN “It was a tough game, the best moment was at the end when it was over, as for 60 minutes Roma caused us headaches. “They are a team to be respected, but we have relied upon our strength.”
  12. JUVENTUS 3 - 0 ROMA Arturo Vidal (17') Leonardo Bonucci (48') Mirko Vučinić (77'-Pen) January 5, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Nicola Rizzoli De Sanctis: 'System makes Juve strong' Jan 5, 2014 Roma goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis complained “the Italian football system makes Juventus clearly stronger than the rest.” http://markting10.nl/ The shot-stopper spoke to Sky Sport Italia after a 3-0 defeat in Turin left them eight points adrift of the Serie A leaders. “In the first half Roma played very well, but it’s a shame we conceded on the first dangerous situation. In the second half we were a bit chaotic and not sharp enough on set plays, which along with the red cards created an exaggerated result. “We weren’t focused or concentrated enough on Leonardo Bonucci’s goal. It’s a shame and a real regret, because conceding straight after the second half made it extremely difficult to get back into the game.” http://markting10.nl/ When asked what Juventus have more than Roma, De Sanctis made comments that are bound to cause controversy. “I already said this week that the Italian football system makes Juventus clearly stronger than the rest. In the first half Roma proved they could play on a par with them and you can even lose, but it’s important to put in the performance. “For the last three years Juve have been playing in a brand new stadium and this is an advantage, without doubt. It is also an advantage they will probably have over the other clubs for another six or seven years.” http://markting10.nl/ The new law on helping clubs to build their own stadiums has been caught up in legal wrangling for many years and so far only Juve have been able to break through the red tape thanks to a deal with the local council. Roma, Napoli, Cagliari, Palermo and Inter have all tried and failed so far to build their own arenas, while Udinese are restructuring the Stadio Friuli in conjunction with the council. The Juventus Stadium has vastly increased the Bianconeri's revenue. Antonio Conte accused Roma of “pub talk provocation” before the match for suggesting Juve won with ‘help’ over the years. http://markting10.nl/ “The result is a fact, but I don’t think it’s fair to say if anyone says something about Juventus that it’s pub talk,” snapped De Sanctis. “Everyone is allowed to say what they want and if only the winners were allowed to talk then it would be meaningless. “There will certainly be another match against Juventus on May 11. Juve were right about one thing, that at the end of the day it’s the result on the pitch that counts and tonight we didn’t prove ourselves.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  13. JUVENTUS 3 - 0 ROMA Arturo Vidal (17') Leonardo Bonucci (48') Mirko Vučinić (77'-Pen) January 5, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Sabatini: 'Juve are more mature' Jan 5, 2014 Roma director Walter Sabatini confessed “Juventus are more mature and the best team” after a 3-0 result. http://markting10.nl/ The Giallorossi had most of the possession in Turin, but failed to take their chances and are now eight points adrift. “We played in a different way to previous visits, but the result was the same,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “Roma’s first half performance was very good, then we conceded goals from a throw-in and a free kick, but we played like a great team. http://markting10.nl/ “Juventus were more mature and showed their experience tonight, as we paid a heavy price for our distractions. We’ve got quality, but have to acknowledge the result. “They are the best team, as they have proved over the last few years, but we believe that we can challenge them and the performance tonight proved it’s not an illusion. “We must remember this is our first defeat of the season. We need to remember it and correct our mistakes.” http://markting10.nl/ Sabatini was asked whether this defeat will mutate Roma’s transfer strategy in the January window. “I had said we’d wait until this game to discuss matters with the Coach, but nothing changes. We will do what needs doing.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  14. JUVENTUS 3 - 0 ROMA Arturo Vidal (17') Leonardo Bonucci (48') Mirko Vučinić (77'-Pen) January 5, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Garcia: 'Nothing is over yet' Jan 5, 2014 Rudi Garcia was happy with the first hour of Roma’s performance against Juventus and insisted “nothing is over yet.” http://markting10.nl/ The Giallorossi had not lost under his tenure, but were beaten 3-0 by Juventus with Daniele De Rossi and Leandro Castan sent off in the final stages. “I don’t know if this was the worst way to lose our unbeaten record, but it is bad to end with nine men,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “On 2-0 we still had the chance to get back into the game, but we were unlucky to concede the two goals in bad moments of the match. http://markting10.nl/ “We had a good first half, but Juve were efficient in keeping us out. We now have a Coppa Italia game to play and after that we’re back in Serie A, so we have to get back on track and rediscover the victory as soon as possible.” Asked if Roma’s title ambitions were over after falling eight points behind the leaders, Garcia saw the glass half-full. “There are another 60 points available, but the title is not our objective. Our objective is to get back into Europe, so we are now second and that is a good place to be in. After that, we’ll see what happens. http://markting10.nl/ “We played a very good first half and I had forgotten we were playing on the home turf of the Serie A leaders, who usually kept possession and pushed opponents back into their own half here. “Unfortunately, they scored at the first chance and we didn’t take ours. It hurt to concede straight after the restart. Juve did well on set plays and we have to work on some issues. “In my view it is a problem of efficiency. Neither side had that many chances, so you’ve got to take them when they arrive. We know this is football and Juve have a ruthless team, so we must learn to be ruthless too. http://markting10.nl/ “It is always difficult to play away to Juve and keep a clean sheet. They have very strong strikers, but I have no doubt that in the first half we played the right game. In order to win you also need luck in important moments and tonight the luck was more with Juventus than with us.” Adem Ljajic was surprisingly picked instead of Mattia Destro, but Garcia assured he had no regrets. “I’d pick the same line-up again, of course. It wasn’t an issue of tactics, strengths or weaknesses. Every game is different. Now we must keep a low profile and work even harder to win this type of match. Don’t forget there will be a Roma-Juventus encounter in May and nothing has finished today.” http://markting10.nl/ This is the first time Garcia has had to deal with a defeat at Roma, a club and fans notorious for their peaks and troughs. “I am 100 per cent confident in my players. After a defeat we have to push forward and use the feelings of disappointment we have tonight in our future games.” http://markting10.nl/ Finally, the French manager shrugged off any controversy regarding the two red cards. “I did not see anything from the touchline, so I prefer not to comment. It’s difficult to end the game with nine men, that is true, but we did not lose because of that. When Daniele was sent off, it was already 2-0 for Juve.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  15. JUVENTUS 3 - 0 ROMA Arturo Vidal (17') Leonardo Bonucci (48') Mirko Vučinić (77'-Pen) January 5, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Conte: 'Moderately satisfied' Jan 5, 2014 Antonio Conte is “moderately satisfied” with Juventus going eight points clear of Roma with a 3-0 victory. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri secured the Winter Champion title this evening thanks to their 10th consecutive victory. “I am only ever moderately satisfied until we achieve our targets, so this remains a stepping stone, but nothing definitive. Our satisfaction therefore has to remain moderate,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “There’s an entire second half of the season to go and we must do well. These eight points are important, but must not become an illusion, as if they rob us of the concentration and desire we need then we’ll be in real trouble. Anything could happen. http://markting10.nl/ “Let’s not forget that Roma won their opening 10 games, yet in Week 18 we are eight points in front of them. “I am still surprised by our growth in terms of tactics and mentality, as we are really improving in that respect. Don’t forget teams know us now, they know our strengths and weaknesses. That means we’ve had to work on strengthening our weaknesses and maintaining the strengths. “I think the desire to win is a philosophy of life and I tried to transmit that to my players. There are others here who already know what that means, like Gigi Buffon and Arturo Vidal. They all realised it’s great to win and want to continue doing it, but to achieve that you need great humility, hunger and the willingness to work for one another. http://markting10.nl/ “Just look at players like Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente who come back and actively take part in the defensive moves, not like old-fashioned strikers who would stand up there and wait for an assist to score. “Llorente is a very important player for us who, after two months of apprenticeship, has settled right into the team. He holds up the ball, spreads the play for his teammates and is strong in the air.” Conte was asked whether he had proved a point by ending the unbeaten record of French manager Rudi Garcia, who had been hailed throughout the media. http://markting10.nl/ “Roma are a very dangerous side with great quality and strong investments. Today if Juve had not prepared the game in the right way, we would’ve had a real bellyache. Let’s just say an Italian Coach did well to prepare the tactics,” he smiled. “When facing strong sides, such as Napoli already this season, you have to maintain your characteristics while trying to weaken their strengths. That is the job of a Coach, otherwise everyone can sit on the bench and pick a line-up. “As I said before, the pitch always gives the just result and tonight that’s what it did.” http://markting10.nl/ Despite their dominance in Serie A, Juve went out of the Champions League group phase. “In the Champions League we were perhaps a little bit arrogant playing against Copenhagen or Galatasaray. We didn’t grab our opponents by the throat straight away and we paid for that. Of course, we also didn’t play the final game and in my view on a decent pitch we’d still be in the tournament. “It’s a growth process and we went out in a painful manner, but gained valuable experience.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  16. JUVENTUS 3 - 0 ROMA Arturo Vidal (17') Leonardo Bonucci (48') Mirko Vučinić (77'-Pen) January 5, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Bonucci: Juve dominated Roma again The defender was delighted to silence the noise that had had been filtering out of the Giallorossi camp during the build up to the top of the table clash. Jan 5, 2014 Leonardo Bonucci was proud with the way that Juventus "dominated" Roma as they won 3-0 over the nine-man side at the Juventus Stadium. http://markting10.nl/ The reigning Serie A champions looked set to face their toughest test of the season as they came up against the only side yet to taste defeat in Italy, but the hosts were rarely threatened after Arturo Vidal opened the scoring and ran out comfortable 3-0 winners as the visitors lost their discipline, along with their unbeaten record. Bonucci also got on the scoresheet and the defender felt his side’s performance was the perfect riposte to a week of constant soundbites from the Giallorossi camp. "We let Roma talk and we did our talking on the pitch," the Italy international, 26, told Sky Sport Italia after the game. http://markting10.nl/ "In recent years when Roma have come to the Juventus Stadium we dominated them and it proved to be the case this time too. "We knew we had to take control on our ground to keep at the top of the table. Despite sitting a little deeper than usual to avoid Roma counterattacks, we still scored three goals and got an important victory. "It was an intelligent performance, as we couldn’t let Roma make the most of their main strength, which is the pace of players like Gervinho and Adem Ljajic on the counterattack." http://markting10.nl/ Gianluigi Buffon kept his 11th cleansheet of the season against Rudi Garcia's men but the goalkeeper was impressed with the opposition and stated that, despite the Bianconeri building a sizeable lead in the Scudetto race, the job is far from done. "The statistics are impressive and now we can say that we fully deserve to be top of the table, casting aside any doubt," the veteran shot-stopper stated. "To analyse the match honestly, Roma caused us many problems in the first half and we won thanks to the individual incidents, which we made the most of. The Giallorossi are a really good side and showed that tonight. http://markting10.nl/ "It’s a very important victory, but Roma really impressed me for an hour tonight, so we cannot afford to let our concentration drop." Juventus have now won each of their last 10 league matches and have an eight-point lead at the top of Serie A. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  17. Bonucci: 'Juve were intelligent' Jan 5, 2014 Leonardo Bonucci explained Juventus “dominated Roma” 3-0 with a “humble and intelligent performance.” http://markting10.nl/ The defender scored the second goal by turning in an Andrea Pirlo free kick at the back post. He celebrated by putting the ball under his shirt to mark his wife’s pregnancy. “I usually attack the near post, but I stayed back and Andrea did well to place the ball there. The baby is expected on May 19,” Bonucci told Sky Sport Italia. “We knew we had to take control on our turf to keep the top of the table. Despite sitting a little deeper than usual to avoid Roma counter-attacks, we still scored three goals and got an important victory. http://markting10.nl/ “It was an intelligent performance, as we couldn’t let Roma make the most of their main strength, which is the pace of players like Gervinho and Adem Ljajic on the counter.” Bonucci also snapped at the Giallorossi trash-talking over the past few weeks leading up to the game. “We let Roma talk and we did our talking on the pitch. In recent years when Roma have come to the Juventus Stadium we dominated them and it proved to be the case this time too. http://markting10.nl/ “Big clubs are built on strong defences, which is what we tried to do today. We were humble and waited rather than pouring forward to leave big gaps for Roma to run into.” This was the Bianconeri’s 10th consecutive victory, so what do they have now that they did not last season? “We have one more year of experience and the Coach always drills into us the hunger to win, which we maintain despite two consecutive Scudetti. We want to continue this run of victories and win a third straight title.”
  18. JUVENTUS 3 - 0 ROMA Arturo Vidal (17') Leonardo Bonucci (48') Mirko Vučinić (77'-Pen) January 5, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Buffon: 'Juve silenced critics' Gigi Buffon said the 3-0 hammering of Roma proves Juventus are the best despite “alibis for those who don’t win.” Jan 5, 2014 Arturo Vidal, Leonardo Bonucci and Mirko Vucinic were on target, while Daniele De Rossi and Leandro Castan saw red in the final stages. http://markting10.nl/ It was their 10th consecutive Serie A victory and put them eight points clear at the top of the table. “The statistics are impressive and now we can say that we fully deserve to be top of the table, casting aside any aspersions,” Buffon told Sky Sport Italia. “The lads have learned that defeats teach you something, such as the loss against Inter last season and Fiorentina this term.” The ‘aspersions’ included Francesco Totti saying this week that Juve always win with ‘a little help.’ http://markting10.nl/ “It’s just talk that lots of people say and it’s not as if Francesco was alone over the years. I think more than anything else this is used as a ready alibi for those who don’t win. They can just say ‘Juve are helped’ and ignore their own problems. “To analyse the match honestly, Roma caused us many problems in the first half and we won thanks to the individual incidents, which we made the most of. The Giallorossi are a really good side and showed that tonight. “It’s a very important victory, but Roma really impressed me for an hour tonight, so we cannot afford to let our concentration drop.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  19. JUVENTUS 3 - 0 ROMA Arturo Vidal (17') Leonardo Bonucci (48') Mirko Vučinić (77'-Pen) January 5, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Simply the best: Juventus unstoppable but Rudi's Roma revolution still on course The champions saw off the previously unbeaten Giallorossi to march eight points clear, but Garcia's men remain ahead of target as they look to challenge. Jan 5, 2014 COMMENT By Kris Voakes | International Football Correspondent Juventus are winter champions and already on the verge of waltzing off with a third straight Scudetto. Sunday’s game against Roma at Juventus Stadium should have been their toughest test yet, but the Bianconeri simply proved that substance will beat style every time. http://markting10.nl/ A 10th successive league victory was always on the cards from the moment Arturo Vidal poked home a goal completely against the run of play, and was secured thanks to second-half goals from Leonardo Bonucci and Mirko Vucinic. That Roma’s two minutes of madness which saw them reduced to nine men finally ended the contest should not be used as evidence that Juve were anything but the better side. The truth is that the champions remain a step ahead of the rest. Rudi Garcia’s men arrived in Turin with an unbeaten record to protect and the undisputed crown of Serie A’s most attractive passing outfit. They left with their tails between their legs, their invincible streak shattered and a selection headache to contend with ahead of next week’s clash against Genoa. Antonio Conte, on the other hand, could not have wished for more from his players. They opened up by allowing the Giallorossi all sorts of time on the ball, clearly learning from Roma’s recent inability to break down stubborn deep defences and occasional vulnerability to the counterattack. http://markting10.nl/ Since an Alessio Cerci-inspired Torino were the first team to deny the Lupi three points back in November, many teams have set up with a deep midfield to force Roma to break them down in numbers without allowing space between the lines. It just so happens that Juve are the team best equipped to handle that exact gameplan, and they carried it out to perfection. Conte has been the focus of some criticism recently, with Juventus’ elimination from the Champions League forcing many to question his tactical qualities. But, when it comes to domestic matters, he is proving that he has what it takes to react to the strengths and weaknesses of opponents and adapt his men appropriately. Other than a lethargic display away to Inter and five minutes of madness in Florence, the Bianconeri have been near untouchable. They now sit eight points clear of Rudi Garcia’s men and look nailed on for a 30th official Scudetto success, but Roma fans need not be entirely disappointed with their lot as they take stock after their first defeat since last May’s humiliating Coppa Italia final reverse to Lazio. http://markting10.nl/ A title push looked likely to be the last thing on the Giallorossi’s agenda at the end of last summer. Having sold Marquinhos, Erik Lamela and Pablo Daniel Osvaldo, questions were rightly asked of the club’s hopes of even challenging for Europa League football given their readiness to offload such key talent. Yet Garcia’s troops have performed tremendously thus far, and while the needless sendings-off of Daniele De Rossi and Leandro Castan in the space of 90 seconds on Sunday represent the low point of their season, their performance in the first half in particular was far from shameful. Roma remain on course for the Champions League as things stand and given another season or two – with key signings made up front, in goal and at left-back – they could well make a concerted push for a Serie A title. But what Sunday proved once and for all is that Juventus are too good for the rest of the league at the moment, leaving would-be challengers to plan early for a 2014-15 title push. For this term at least, Juve are not about to be caught. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  20. JUVENTUS 3 - 0 ROMA Arturo Vidal (17') Leonardo Bonucci (48') Mirko Vučinić (77'-Pen) January 5, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Player Ratings Goal runs an eye over the performances as Daniele De Rossi and Leandro Castan saw red for the visitors and the Bianconeri moved eight points clear at the top of Serie A. Jan 5, 2014 JUVENTUS Gianluigi Buffon - Produced a handful of strong stops over the course of the game to secure a sixth consecutive home clean sheet in Serie A. Andrea Barzagli - The experience centre-back was dominant in the air for the Bianconeri, though he did pick up a yellow card for a cynical block on Destro. Leonardo Bonucci - Stretched every sinew in his right leg to volley home a Pirlo free kick and make it 2-0 shortly after the break. An assured performance from the Italy international. Giorgio Chiellini - Dealt with the pace and trickery of Gervinho and Ljajic superbly, and even pushed forward at times for his side. Drew the horrendous foul from De Rossi that the Roma captain saw red for. Stephan Lichtsteiner - Thundered down the right to good effect for Conte's men, which allowed him to hurl some inviting crosses in to the likes of Llorente and Vucinic. Paul Pogba - The young Frenchman produced another fine performance in central midfield, alongside the more senior figures of Vidal and Pirlo. Showed good composure to not lose his head despite being on the wrong end of some bad tackles. Andrea Pirlo - Looked like he had never been away despite a month-long absence with a knee injury. Provided the assist for Bonucci's volley and his passing was pinpoint throughout. Arturo Vidal - His eighth league goal of the season was the cherry on top of what was another hugely impressive performance in midfield. Given a standing ovation by the Juve fans when he was withdrawn late on. Kwadwo Asamoah - Misplaced some passes in the first half which hindered his impact on the game. He improved slightly after the break, and was always willing to track back and help out defensively. Carlos Tévez - Showed little rustiness in the first half, despite his late return following the winter break, as he wreaked havoc for the hosts. His game was cut short on the hour-mark though, when he picked up what looked like a hamstring injury. Fernando Llorente - Came within a whisker of making it 2-0 with a fine fizzing effort shortly before the break as his understanding with Tevez continued to blossom. http://markting10.nl/ Substitutions Claudio Marchisio - Moved the ball quickly and effectively in the closing stages as his side eased to a deserved victory. Mirko Vučinić - Held the ball up well after replacing Tevez in the second half and confidently dispatched a penalty past De Sanctis late on. http://markting10.nl/ ROMA Morgan De Sanctis - Could do little about the hosts' three goals as his team imploded in front of him, particularly late on. Maicon - Though the Brazilian's powers continue to wane as age takes it toll he was one of his team's brighter performers this evening, bombing forward from right-back. Leandro Castán - Tormented by Tevez, before being dismissed for a deliberate handball late on. Mehdi Benatia - A match to forget for the Morroccan centre-back, as he struggled to cope with the power and poise of Juve's attacking players. Dodô - The young full-back put in a decent performance at left-back before being subbed off on 55 minutes. Kevin Strootman - The Dutchman has excelled for Garcia's men this season but his impact on the game this evening was nullified by the athleticism and energy of Vidal and Pogba. Miralem Pjanic - Tested Buffon with a couple of well-struck, long-range efforts. Subbed off after the break. Daniele De Rossi - After being second-best in midfield for much of the game he saw red late on for a horrible two-footed lunge on Chiellini. Adem Ljajic - Woeful in attack for his side. His passing was wayward, and he barely threatened as Chiellini stepped in to steal the ball whenever it came to him. Francesco Totti - Featured intermittently for the visitors in the opening hour before fading as his team-mates lost their composure with two red cards late on. Gervinho - Was guilty of straying offside at vital moments when the likes of Pjanic and Totti tried to catch out Juventus' high three-man defence with quick throughballs. http://markting10.nl/ Substitutions Vasilis Torosidis - Surrendered possession far too easily on a number of occasions. Mattia Destro - Provided a sense of attacking purpose that was sorely lacking. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  21. JUVENTUS 3 - 0 ROMA Arturo Vidal (17') Leonardo Bonucci (48') Mirko Vučinić (77'-Pen) January 5, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Juventus vs. Roma Score, Grades and Post-Match Reaction Jan 5, 2014 Juventus ran out 3-0 winners over Roma to extend their lead at the top of Serie A on Sunday, with the away side having two players sent off in the second half. http://markting10.nl/ Roma made the better of the early running and had plenty of pressure inside the Juve half, though Gianluigi Buffon was not called upon to make a save. After a little more than a quarter of an hour, the opening goal arrived at the opposite end, with Arturo Vidal finishing after Carlos Tevez managed to find him in the box. Dodo and Miralem Pjanic tested Buffon from range, but it was the home side who continued to get stronger thereafter and finished the first half well on top. http://markting10.nl/ Straight after the restart, Juve went 2-0 up as Andrea Pirlo's free-kick was slid home at the far post by Leandro Bonucci. From that moment on, Roma never looked capable of getting back into the game and, in fact, the away side lost their focus entirely as the match wore on. First Daniele De Rossi was sent off for a shockingly late, two-footed tackle, before Leandro Castan followed him a moment later for a deliberate handball on the line. Mirko Vucinic slotted away the resulting penalty and Juve easily saw out the game for a big win. http://markting10.nl/ Match Reaction Tom Rowland @TWRowland Juventus are well on their way to another Scudetto while Roma are still on course for a brilliant season. Hope it doesn't fall apart. Michael Cox @Zonal_Marking Good stuff from Juventus, clear winners. Roma were disappointing, but 17 unbeaten is very impressive and they're still hugely overachieving. 22. JUVENTUS 3 - 0 ROMA Arturo Vidal (17') Leonardo Bonucci (48') Mirko Vučinić (77'-Pen) January 5, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Juventus' team attack sparks win over Roma Jan 5, 2014 Under Antonio Conte, Juventus' strength -- or at least one of their strengths -- has been their ability to share the goals throughout the team and not rely too heavily on their strikers. http://markting10.nl/ It was no different on Sunday night as the Bianconeri extended their lead at the top of Serie A to eight points with a 3-0 win over their nearest but still distant challengers, AS Roma. Yes, Carlos Tevez is the first Juventus player to have gone beyond 10 goals in a season since Conte took charge, but that's still an astonishing statistic when you consider the club have won back-to-back titles Arturo Vidal (10 last season -- the same as Mirko Vucinic) and Claudio Marchisio (nine in 2011-12, when Alessandro Matri led with 10) were among the Bianconeri's top marksmen in the past two successful seasons. With Juve, the goals can come from anywhere, and that is what makes them so unpredictable. It is what makes them so strong. http://markting10.nl/ Vidal, it has been claimed, demanded Alessandro Del Piero's No. 10 shirt in the summer, prompting heated discussions among Juve fans as to whether he would be a worthy heir to that symbolic jersey. Opinion may have been divided then, but had anybody inside the Juventus Stadium in the 17th minute been asked if the Chilean could pull it off -- pulling that shirt on -- then they would certainly not have begrudged him it. It was the current possessor of that shirt, Carlos Tevez -- Juve's current top marksman with 11 goals -- who teed him up to put the Bianconeri in front with a fine finish threaded inside Morgan De Sanctis' near post. Roma, up to Sunday night, have proven their ability to keep the ball out of the back of the net. No other side in Europe's top divisions had conceded fewer than the seven the Giallorossi had shipped in 17 games before Vidal's strike. The success of Rudi Garcia's men, which in practically any other Serie A season would see them blazing a trail at the summit, has been built on solid foundations. But they had not faced Juve. http://markting10.nl/ The Old Lady are not just one hitman, there are 10 of them, Gianluigi Buffon the exception. If the Italy goalkeeper started scoring, too, then they really would take some stopping. While the Roma defence focused on the aerial ability of Fernando Llorente and Paul Pogba, they failed to notice Leonardo Bonucci creeping around the back to slide in and convert Andrea Pirlo's free kick to double the home side's advantage early in the second half. Once again, it was not a striker on target. Giorgio Chiellini was about to make it three non-strikers to find the back of the net when Leandro Castan turned into the Roma goalkeeper to push his header out, earning a red card less than 60 seconds after Roma captain Daniele De Rossi had been sent for an early shower for a foul on Chiellini, interpreting once again the role of winger. Vucinic stepped up to the spot to become the exception which proves the rule, tucking in a penalty to make it three and leave the nine men of Roma facing 15 minutes of damage limitation with their proud defensive record in tatters. http://markting10.nl/ They can take some solace from not being the only side to have been demolished so ruthlessly at the Juventus Stadium. Lazio and Sassuolo conceded four, Napoli three. In fact, the only two sides who have come away from Turin unbeaten this season are Real Madrid and Galatasaray. While Juve may have made it 10 league wins in a row with Sunday night's victory, and nine out of nine at home, they still have some work to do transforming their undoubted domestic superiority into similar success on the European stage. Having a defence and midfield which can score goals when the attack is less pungent has proved not to be enough when facing continental opposition. With the final of the Europa League in Turin this year, and with a comfortable gap opening up at the top of the table as Juve search for a third straight Scudetto, there may be time for them to focus even more on getting it right beyond the Italian border. If they do, a Serie A, Coppa Italia and Europa League treble may not be beyond them. Part 1 looks accomplished already. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  23. JUVENTUS 3 - 0 ROMA Arturo Vidal (17') Leonardo Bonucci (48') Mirko Vučinić (77'-Pen) January 5, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Juventus teach Roma a lesson Juventus subjected nine man Roma to a heavy 3-0 defeat tonight. The win sees the champions increase their lead at the top to eight points, and ensure them as hot favourites to retain the title. Jan 5, 2014 On the lead up to the big game the two clubs had exchanged some friendly fire when Francesco Totti alluded to Juventus as “tend to win with help." Antonio Conte dismissed his comment as “pub talk provocation.” However Totti didn't back down and told Sky sport Italia “Everyone is free to say what they want. I expressed my thoughts. It’s their problem if they got upset.” http://markting10.nl/ Conte welcomed back the influential Andrea Pirlo after a month out, while Claudio Marchisio is relegated to the bench. Rudi Garcia highlighted his sides intention by fielding the same usual attacking line up. Federico Balzaretti being the only casualty for the Romans. Roma were the first to take a run at goal via a counter attack in which Gigi Buffon had to rush out to upend Adem Ljajic. The hosts were content to sit back and concede possession to the confident ball passing visitors. Despite this the champions hit the front with their first attack. Carlos Tevez turned Daniele De Rossi who couldn't get tight to the Argentine, he cleverly teed up Arturo Vidal who drove it past Morgan De Sanctis. They nearly scored a second straight after when Tevez robbed Medhi Benatia just outside the box, his angled ball just failed to find strike partner Fernando Llorente. http://markting10.nl/ Roma fought back with a Miralem Pjanic shot that Buffon had to get busy with. The capital side continued to dictate play but without seriously threatening Buffon. Totti hit the deck as the Juventus players accused him of diving to referee Rizzoli. The Bianconeri finished the half the stronger of the two when the dangerous Tevez whipped a ball across goal, escaping many outstreched legs. Llorente saw his effort from distance just clear the crossbar. At the restart Juventus did extend the lead when Pirlo's inswinging freekick found the far post run of Leonardo Bonucci. The Italian international gave Leandro Castan the slip before connecting powerfully with the cross giving De Sanctis no chance. The goal sapped the spirit out of Roma as Juventus took control of proceedings. Garcia hauled off Pjanic and Dodò for Mattia Destro and Vassilis Torosidis as his sides unbeaten record was slipping away. Tevez evening came to an abrupt end when he took a knock. Totti was kept quiet all night and shortly withdrawn for Alessandro Florenzi. http://markting10.nl/ Roma's fate was sealed in a dramatic couple of minutes when De Rossi saw red for a dangerously high challenge on Chiellini. Incredibly Roma were down to nine just a minute after when Leandro Castan handled on the line. Mirko Vucinic confidently stepped up from the penalty spot to send his former side 3-0 behind. Juventus triumphed to a tenth successive victory and in the process shattering Roma's incredible seventeen game unbeaten run. Can anyone stop the rampant champions. http://markting10.nl/ Juventus (3-5-2): Buffon; Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Lichtsteiner, Vidal (Marchisio 78), Pirlo, Pogba, Asamoah; Tevez (Vucinic 60), Llorente (Quagliarella 81) AS Roma (4-3-3): De Sanctis; Maicon, Benatia, Castan, Dodò (Torosidis 55); Pjanic (Destro 55), De Rossi, Strootman; Ljajic, Totti (Florenzi 72), Gervinho Yellow cards: Tevez 33', Chiellini 34; Gervinho 37', Ljajic 83' Red cards: De Rossi 75', Leandro Castan 76' http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  24. JUVENTUS 3 - 0 ROMA Arturo Vidal (17') Leonardo Bonucci (48') Mirko Vučinić (77'-Pen) January 5, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Bianconeri run riot against stagnant Giallorossi Jan 5, 2014 Juventus defeated Roma 3-0 at the Juventus Stadium on Sunday night in Serie A. http://markting10.nl/ Goals from Arturo Vidal, Leonardo Bonucci, and a Mirko Vucinic penalty decided the game for the Bianconeri, while Roma had Daniele De Rossi and Leandro Castan sent off within two minutes of each other in the second half. Juventus could have had a goal in the opening seconds when Mehdi Benatia’s pass fell to Andrea Pirlo, but the Italian international failed to capitalise on that error from the defender. The Giallorossi could’ve made it 1-0 when Francesco Totti darted forward with the ball and slotted it through to Adem Ljajic who was coming from the right, but Giorgio Chiellini made a last-ditch tackle to deny Ljajic from finishing past Gianluigi Buffon. http://markting10.nl/ However, Juve broke the deadlock with 17 minutes on the clock when Carlos Tevez received the ball and waited for the barging Arturo Vidal before making a clinical pass to the Chilean who finished past Morgan De Sanctis at the near post. Roma could’ve had an equaliser when Miralem Pjanic had a shot from the edge of the penalty box which was kept out by Buffon. Dodo also tried a shot which could’ve caused trouble, but Buffon was equal to the Brazilian’s attempt. http://markting10.nl/ Around the half hour mark it was almost 2-0, as Tevez notched onto Paul Pogba’s through pass, but the Argentine’s first touch let him down. La Vecchia Signora continued to threaten Roma; Tevez received he ball on his chest and unleashed a shot which went untouched across the face of goal. Fernando Llorente unleashed a shot from distance minutes later which went inches over the bar, another dangerous chance for the Bianconeri. http://markting10.nl/ The start of the second half was similar to the first half, Roma with the possession, but Juventus more clinical. And soon after the second goal came when Andrea Pirlo’s delivery from a free-kick was met by Leonardo Bonucci at the back post to made it 2-0 to the Bianconeri. In an attempt to change the style of play, Rudi Garcia made a double change by putting on Mattia Destro and Vasilis Torosidis in place of Miralem Pjanic and Dodo. http://markting10.nl/ Roma continued to try and pull one back, after a swift one-two Totti found himself in a position to take shot away, but Chiellini put it out for a corner before the Roma captain could do anything. Vidal was brought down by Kevin Strootman on the edge of the box, Pirlo stepped up to take the resulting free-kick, but it was handled well by De Sanctis. The Giallorossi were soon reduced to 10 men when De Rossi’s reckless challenge on Chiellini forced referee Nicola Rizzoli to send the Italian international off. http://markting10.nl/ Then moments later, Roma were reduced to nine men when Leandro Castan handled the ball off the line. Mirko Vucinic calmly scored the resulting penalty to make it 3-0 and put he game to bed. Ljajic had the chance to pull one back through a free-kick, but the Serbian blazed his set-piece over the bar. This is Roma’s first defeat of the season, this defeat leaves them eight points adrift from leaders Juventus. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  25. JUVENTUS 3 - 0 ROMA Arturo Vidal (17') Leonardo Bonucci (48') Mirko Vučinić (77'-Pen) January 5, 2014 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Champions leave Giallorossi unbeaten run in tatters The visitors were reduced to nine men as Arturo Vidal, Leonardo Bonucci and Mirko Vucinic put Rudi Garcia's men to the sword. Jan 5, 2014 Juventus swept aside main Serie A rivals Roma with a 3-0 win over the visitors for their 10th league victory in a row. http://markting10.nl/ Arturo Vidal and Leonardo Bonucci had put the champions and league leaders 2-0 ahead before second-placed Roma received two dismissals in quick succession with around 15 minutes remaining. First, Daniele De Rossi saw red for a high challenge on Giorgio Chiellini before Leandro Castan was dismissed for handball on the goalline. Former Roma man Mirko Vucinic applied the third from the penalty spot as Juve started 2014 in the same ominous fashion they ended last year, ending Roma's 19-match unbeaten league record in the process. http://markting10.nl/ The win sees Juventus open up an eight-point gap on the Giallorossi at the top of Serie A, strengthening their hopes of claiming a third consecutive title. Pirlo returned to Conte's team for the first time since the start of December after recovering from a knee injury, while Roma named a familiar front three with Adem Ljajic and Gervinho assisting Francesco Totti. The Bianconeri initially struggled to impose themselves in the game, but went ahead with their first effort on goal after 17 minutes. http://markting10.nl/ Tevez received a pass inside the area and flicked a smart throughball into the path of Vidal, who squeezed home past Morgan De Sanctis at the near post. Roma were somewhat unfortunate to find themselves behind and pushed for a leveller, with Gianluigi Buffon on high alert to fend off Dodo's low long-distance strike. The champions finished the half brightly, though, with Fernando Llorente coming close with a fierce 25-yard strike that went narrowly over the crossbar. http://markting10.nl/ Juve's momentum continued into the second period, and it took just three minutes for their advantage to be doubled as Bonucci side-footed home Pirlo's teasing back-post delivery. The home side were then dealt a blow when Tevez had to be replaced by Vucinic on the hour mark after appearing to tweak his hamstring. http://markting10.nl/ But Roma's loss of discipline helped them, as De Rossi was sent off for scything down Italy team-mate Chiellini, before Castan was shown a straight red for handballing on the goalline from the resulting free kick. And Vucinic duly wrapped the match up on 77 minutes by finding the bottom corner from the spot. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
