  1. JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Marotta: 'This is The Game' Nov 5, 2013 Juventus director general Beppe Marotta admits tonight’s clash with Real Madrid “is The Game.” http://markting10.nl/ It kicks off in Turin at 19.45 GMT and is a must-win for the Bianconeri, who have just two points from three matches in Champions League Group B. Click here for the line-ups. “Tonight this is The Game,” Marotta told Sky Sport Italia. “It’s a very difficult test and winning would be the icing on the cake. http://markting10.nl/ “We want to achieve something in front of our extraordinary fans. We must make the most of their passion, as they always represent an extra weapon. “In this competition the danger is always around the corner, so we must be on our toes. It will take something incredible to beat this Real, but we have to believe right to the end.”

  3. JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Line-ups: Juventus-Real Madrid Nov 5, 2013 Juventus have Carlos Tevez and Andrea Pirlo against Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale of Real Madrid. http://markting10.nl/ This Champions League showdown kicks off in Turin at 19.45 GMT and is a must-win for the Bianconeri, who have only two points from three games. The 2-1 defeat at the Bernabeu was controversial, as it saw Giorgio Chiellini sent off for a seemingly innocuous shoulder-to-shoulder with Ronaldo. As a result, the veteran defender is suspended this evening, while Stephan Lichtsteiner and Mirko Vucinic are still unavailable due to injury. http://markting10.nl/ Kwadwo Asamoah is given the task of stopping Bale, preferred at left-back to Angelo Ogbonna despite being technically a wide midfielder. Once again, Antonio Conte switches his usual 3-5-2 system to a 4-3-3 in order to match Carlo Ancelotti’s side. Claudio Marchisio is pushed into a more advanced role with Fernando Llorente and Tevez. http://markting10.nl/ Real Madrid have a 100 per cent record in Group B so far, but are without Fabio Coentrao after he sprained his ankle in a 3-2 win at Rayo Vallecano. Raul Arbeloa is dropped, as Sergio Ramos is re-routed to right-back. The Spaniards have a poor history away to Juventus, losing their last five trips to Turin on the bounce. http://markting10.nl/ Their most recent visit was 2-1 in October 2008, secured by Alessandro Del Piero and Amauri. Conte called for the Juventus Stadium to be turned into “a cauldron” and an hour before kick-off that already seems to be the case. JUVENTUS: Buffon; Caceres, Barzagli, Bonucci, Asamoah; Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba; Tevez, Llorente, Marchisio Juventus bench: Storari, Ogbonna, De Ceglie, Padoin, Isla, Giovinco, Quagliarella REAL MADRID: Casillas; Ramos, Varane, Pepe, Marcelo; Khedira, Xabi Alonso, Modric; Bale, Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo Real Madrid bench: Diego Lopez, Carvajal, Arbeloa, Jesé, Di Maria, Isco, Illarra
  4. JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) 5 Juventus Players Who Could Hurt Los Blancos Nov 5, 2013 On Tuesday night, Turin will witness a true clash of the titans as Real Madrid aim to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League. In contrast, Juventus will hope that they can rescue their season among Europe’s elite with their first win of the campaign. http://markting10.nl/ A fortnight ago at the Bernabeu, Los Blancos emerged narrow victors over the Italian giants in a game that saw the Bianconeri reduced to 10 men. With a 100 percent record thus far in the Champions League and 10 goals scored in their last two La Liga matches, Cristiano Ronaldo et al travel to Italy full of confidence, knwoing a win will confirm their placing among the last 16. Carlo Ancelotti returns to one of his old stomping grounds aware that a win would mean a step forward in the club's obstinate quest for La Decima. http://markting10.nl/ Barcelona aside, this will arguably be Los Blancos' toughest examination of this season and a chance to put down a real marker for other teams to take notice. By contrast, Juventus have it all to do if they are to continue the impressive rebuild of their legendary brand into one of Europe’s current superpowers. Two back-to-back Scudettos led to considerable optimism that La Vecchia Signora of Italian football could once again become the toast of Europe. http://markting10.nl/ However, the Bianconeri have only accumulated two points from their opening three games. Therefore, victory over Real is imperative. Antonio Conte's men must take the initiative in Tuesday’s headlining tie, demanding that their key attacking personnel bring their "A" game to the table and cause Los Blancos considerable problems. 5. Kwadwo Asamoah Ghanaian Kwadwo Asamoah joined Juventus from Udinese in the summer of 2012. Last season, the midfielder made 45 appearances for club and country, producing 12 assists and scoring five goals. An underrated player, Asamoah's strength and endurance are vital on the club's left wing, particularly since Juventus play with a back http://markting10.nl/ 4. Andrea Pirlo The wily 34-year-old continues to defy the ageing process for both Juve and the Azzurri as chief playmaker, nonchalantly pulling the strings across the park. Despite Los Blancos’s likely game plan to put pressure on the Bianconeri’s maestro, Andrea Pirlo requires only a split second to inflict significant damage onto the opposition. So far in Serie A, the midfielder leads the way in pass completion (89 percent) among his club's attacking players, accompanied with the highest average distance per pass (22 metres). Real will need to be wary of Pirlo's effortless ability to switch the play. http://markting10.nl/ 3. Paul Pogba The young Frenchman continues to progress at an alarmingly rapid rate, with the all-action midfielder becoming the focal point of La Vecchia Signora’s engine room. Paul Pogba's performances have reached such consistently high levels that the likes of Chelsea have been linked with the 21-year-old, according to Guardian reporter Simon Burnton. Only last month, Sky Sports reported that club president Andrea Agnelli stated, via Simone Bargellini: “If a huge offer arrived for Pogba then I don't think, right now, we would be strong enough to resist it." http://markting10.nl/ Despite only completing one full season at Juventus, the club’s board are keen to reward the youngster with an improved contract, in an attempt to ward off the predators. Ranking fifth in Serie A for most duels won, as per Squawka, Pogba will be key to Juventus’ presumed game plan of stifling the creative genius of Luka Modric. Juve's chief hustler is a hugely exciting talent. http://markting10.nl/ 2. Arturo Vidal The Chilean attacking midfielder possesses a potent goal threat. So far in 11 Serie A matches, Arturo Vidal has found the back of the net on five occasions and has fashioned his team's most attempts on goal—supplying three assists and 17 key passes. The above heat map demonstrates how Vidal was largely given a free role at the weekend against Parma. A repeat performance will ensue a difficult night for Ancelotti's men, particularly if they choose to man-mark Vidal. http://markting10.nl/ 1. Carlos Tevez The Argentine’s summer transfer from Manchester to Turin has reignited his career—with Carlos Tevez reveling at being the No. 1 forward at the Juventus stadium. A surprising statistic was revealed this week, that Tevez has not scored in Europe’s elite competition for four years. http://markting10.nl/ Given his domestic form with seven goals from 15 outings, Juve’s No. 10 will be determined to put that unwanted fact to bed Tuesday night. Tevez has proven over the years that he can fashion chances out of nothing, and the Bianconeri need him in top form in their must-win game against Real.
  5. JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Juventus v Real Madrid – Team News, Tactics, Line-ups And Prediction | UEFA Champions League Nov 5, 2013 Real Madrid will face reigning Italian champions Juventus at the Juventus Stadium tonight in their next Champions League fixture. http://markting10.nl/ The Spanish side won their first fixture against Juventus since 2005 last month at the Bernabeu stadium. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace for the home side, but it wasn’t the most convincing performance from Real Madrid. Juventus played most of the second half with ten-men, but they were able to contain Real Madrid’s attack and also threatened to score despite their numerical disadvantage. Carlo Ancelotti’s men will have to produce a much better performance in Italy to get a positive result in this match. The odds favour Juventus and a win for the Italian side would pay +145. Team news and tactics JUVENTUS Juventus are currently third in Serie A, three points behind league leaders Roma. The Italian side bounced back well after two back to back defeats against Fiorentina and Real Madrid with victories against Genoa, Catania and Parma. Juventus are coming into this fixture on the back of a 1-0 win over Parma as Paul Pogba scored the winner in the second half. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri are currently third in Group B standings with just two points from three outings. Real Madrid are expected to win this group, but Juventus will have Galatasaray on their sight, who are currently have two points more than the Italian side. If Juventus lose this game and Galatasaray wins their fixture against FC Copenhagen, it will be a tough task for them to close down a five points lead in two matches. Antonio Conte will be without Simone Pepe, Mirko Vucinic and Stephan Lichtsteiner for this game due to injuries, while Giorgio Chiellini will serve his suspension after being sent off in his last game. So Conte will make only one change to the side that he fielded against Real Madrid in their last meeting. Leonardo Bonucci will replace Chiellini at the back as Juventus switch back to a back-four in this match. Ogbonna will start as the left-back in this game, while Caceres starts as the right-back. Pirlo, who didn’t start the match against Parma, will start in the midfield alongside Pogba and Vidal. Giovinco will drop back to the bench as Llorente, Tevez and Marchisio start in the three-man attack. http://markting10.nl/ Expected starting line-up (4-3-3): Buffon (GK); Ogbonna, Bonucci, Barzagli, Caceres; Pogba, Pirlo, Vidal; Tevez, Llorente, Marchisio REAL MADRID Like Juventus, Real Madrid are third in the league table currently, six points behind league leaders Barcelona. Los Blancos bounced back from the defeat in the El Clasico with a massive 7-3 win over Sevilla in the league. They are coming into this game on the back of a 2-3 win over Rayo Vallecano as Cristiano Ronaldo scored a wonderful brace. Real Madrid currently lead the points table of Group B with three wins in their first three games. The Spanish side can confirm their place in the knockout stage with just a draw against Juventus in this game, although they would want their prime concern is to win this group in order to avoid a tough draw in the next stage. http://markting10.nl/ Carlo Ancelotti will be without Fabio Coentrao for this game after the left back picked up an injury in their match against Rayo Vallecano. The Real Madrid manager is expected to make five changes to the side that started against Rayo. Casillas will replace Lopez in the goal as Arbeloa starts at right back and Marcelo replaces the injured Coentrao. Varane will also return to the starting line-up in place of Pepe. The big news for the Real Madrid fans is of course the return of Xabi Alonso, who featured for 90 minutes in the last game. The Spaniard will once again feature in the midfield alongside Modric and Khedira, who will replace Di Maria. Ronaldo, Benzema and Bale will make the front three in this game. Expected starting line-up (4-3-3): Casillas (GK); Arbeloa, Ramos, Varane, Marcelo; Modric, Alonso, Khedira; Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo http://markting10.nl/ Players to watch out for: Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid); Arturo Vidal (Juventus) Prediction: Juventus 2-2 Real Madrid Blast from the past
  6. JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Xabi Alonso to start against Juventus Nov 5, 2013 Xabi Alonso is expected to start for Real Madrid in their Champions League clash with Juventus on Tuesday evening. http://markting10.nl/ The Spanish international made his first start of the season against Rayo Vallecano at the weekend, having been out of action for five months with a groin injury that required surgery. The 31-year-old was substituted at the interval of the La Liga clash, but reports in Spain have claimed that the former Liverpool midfielder will start in Turin. http://markting10.nl/ Sami Khedira and Luka Modric are also expected to line up in a three-man midfield for the Spanish outfit, who currently top Group B with nine points.
  7. JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Bale could expose Conte tactics and put Juve to the sword The Serie A outfit must attack in their bid to progress to the knockout stages, but that approach could well play into Madrid's hands and their strength on the counterattack. Nov 5, 2013 COMMENT By Brendon Netto Antonio Conte has no option but to go for broke when his Juventus side play host to Real Madrid on Tuesday and the Bianconeri's growing desperation for points may well see Gareth Bale make his mark in Europe. http://markting10.nl/ A Cristiano Ronaldo double saw Madrid beat Juve 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu but this time around they’ll have to deal with the added threat of los Blancos' €100 million man as well. The Welshman sat out of that first fixture through injury but two goals and four assists later and Bale is showing signs of reproducing his best form. Given that Juventus need to seize the initiative in this game, Conte’s first problem is the fragility of his side's 3-5-2 formation against the pacey attack and lethal counter-attacking threat of Madrid. http://markting10.nl/ The Old Lady stuck with their tried and tested system in last year’s competition when they came up against eventual winners Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals, but it went horribly wrong as they were convincingly beaten 2-0 in both legs. The devastating wing-play of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery had a huge hand in that as they ran riot in behind Juve's wing-backs, dragging their central defenders wide and creating gaping holes through the middle. If afforded the same kind of freedom, Bale and Ronaldo will be licking their lips. That’s precisely why Conte deployed a 4-3-3 formation in the away fixture. The ploy worked reasonably well as they restricted their hosts to only a few chances, but may not be quite as solid when they’re chasing the game this time around. http://markting10.nl/ Angelo Ogbonna and Martin Caceres performed excellently in full-back roles in Madrid. This time, however, the full-backs may have to throw caution to the wind in a bid to give the team more of an attacking threat down the flanks. What will undoubtedly amplify the impact of the rejuvenated Bale, who has been aided by the return of Xabi Alonso from injury. The midfielder was a calming influence on the side when he made his comeback as a second half substitute in Madrid’s 7-3 mauling of Sevilla. He followed up that display with a start against Rayo Vallecano against whom he orchestrated the midfield with his vast array of passes to both flanks. http://markting10.nl/ His influence on the team is obvious and though Luka Modric has impressed in spurts this season, Alonso remains the lynchpin of Madrid’s midfield. He has proved to be vital on the counterattack for the team and on the break, his role is not too dissimilar to that of a quarter-back. With pacey forwards making darting runs ahead of him, he has a knack of picking out the right one with unerring accuracy. With Bale and Ronaldo bombing forward, Alonso won’t be short of options when the opportunity presents itself against Juventus and if the Serie A side are not on top of their game, a group stage exit could draw ever closer.
  8. JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Raul: Madrid will have to be at their best to beat Juventus The former Blancos captain believes the Liga giants could be in for a surprise if they don't play with 'great character' against the Bianconeri in Turin. Nov 5, 2013 Raul says Real Madrid must play as they did during "the last half hour against Barcelona" if they are to defeat Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday night. http://markting10.nl/ The legendary Blancos forward, who is currently plying his trade in Qatar with Al Sadd, believes that the Bianconeri have more than enough talent to upset his former side. "Madrid will have to play like they did in the last half hour at Camp Nou against Barcelona [10 days ago],” Raul told Tuttosport. “At that point, they showed great character and they made it difficult for our rivals in the league [before losing 2-1].” http://markting10.nl/ Juventus knocked Madrid out at the quarter-final stage of the 1995-96 Champions League, but the Liga side got their revenge when they beat the Serie A outfit in the final two years later. "They were our nemesis," Raul said of the rivalry between the two European giants. "We won the first leg of the 1995-96 quarter-final, but lost in the return. “We were sad, but we managed to beat them (1-0) at the end of the 1997-98 season and lift the trophy.” http://markting10.nl/ Raul believes that although the Old Lady don’t have attacking players of the calibre of Pavel Nedved or Alessandro Del Piero any more, they could still cause a shock as they have “great players like Carlos Tevez”. The former Madrid captain, who made over 500 appearances for the club, concluded by stating his plans for the future. “I’ll stay in football," the 36-year-old declared. "I have two options: return to work at Real Madrid or stay here (in Qatar), to help prepare for the 2022 World Cup.”
  9. JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Llorente: Juventus cannot afford to slip up against Madrid The Spain striker has underlined the importance of Tuesday's match for the Bianconeri's Champions League ambitions. Nov 5, 2013 Fernando Llorente has insisted that Juventus cannot afford to make any mistakes in Tuesday's Champions League game against Real Madrid. http://markting10.nl/ The Serie A champions have collected just two points form their opening three games and desperately need a victory against Madrid if they are to reach the knockout stages of the competition. "We cannot afford to make any mistakes against Madrid. We are playing at home and must show that we are a strong team," Llorente said to Onda Cero. "We have three games left in the group stages and every point is absolutely vital for us." http://markting10.nl/ The Spain international, 28, also briefly looked back at Juve's 2-1 loss at the Santiago Bernabeu last month and feels they were the victim of some questionable refereeing decisions. "The referee did not have the best of games at the Bernabeu. His decisions hurt us." Tuesday's match in Turin is scheduled to kick off at 20:45CET.
  10. JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Juventus-Real Madrid Betting Preview: Back Ronaldo to keep up his incredible scoring record Spanish football expert Phil Kitromilides believes the price of 5/6 for a rampant Cristiano Ronaldo to score at anytime is just too good to turn down in this match. Nov 5, 2013 The two most successful clubs in the history of their respective countries meet this evening at the Juventus Stadium tonight in a game which looks extremely tricky to call. http://markting10.nl/ The hosts are hanging by a thread in the competition, knowing that another defeat would leave them with an uphill struggle to qualify for the knockout stages, while Madrid are all but through to the last 16 after three wins from three matches so far. Juve therefore have infinitely more motivation to go all out for the win and bet365 offer Antonio Conte's men at 6/4 (2.50) to claim the three points. The visitors for their part are offered at 9/5 (2.80) with the draw available at 11/4 (3.75). In recent matches Madrid have been clicking up front, playing some superb attacking football and scoring plenty of goals, as highlighted in the preview ahead of their previous game against Rayo Vallecano, which gave us a 4/5 (1.80) when the Whites notched three times. http://markting10.nl/ For all their attacking dominance though, at the back Madrid have looked more than a little shaky and that will give hope to Juventus ahead of this match. That both teams will score looks almost certain and the price of 8/15 (1.53) reflects this. Likewise over 2.5 goals looks extremely likely yet odds of 13/20 (1.65) will attract few punters. Instead, of all the bets that look liked nailed on selections in this tie, Cristiano Ronaldo to score at anytime is arguably the best option at 5/6 (1.83) with bet365. http://markting10.nl/ The forward is in the form of his life, and his relentless goalscoring shows no signs of abating. The statistics make it hard to dispute the likelihood of this bet paying out, with Ronaldo scoring in 11 of Madrid's last 13 games, as well as in all three of their Champions League games so far. Furthermore he is currently the tournament's top scorer and is facing a Juventus side that has conceded goals in each of their last five Champions League fixtures.
  11. Llorente: Juve have real quality Nov 5, 2013 Fernando Llorente thinks Juventus will have an opportunity to underline their quality in tonight’s Champions League tie against Real Madrid. http://markting10.nl/ Although they have collected just two points from three games so far – thanks to draws against Copenhagen and Galatasaray – the striker is still looking for qualification. “We are playing at home and we must show that we are a strong side,” the summer signing from Athletic Bilbao told Onda Cero. “Right now there are three games left and every point is vital to us. http://markting10.nl/ “Against Madrid we cannot make any mistakes – we have shown that we can play a good game, like we did in the Santiago Bernabeu.” Although happy with the club’s display in Spain two weeks ago, the Old Lady returned to Turin with a 2-1 defeat. “The referee did not have his best day at the Bernabeu and it did penalise us,” Llorente argued. “It meant I had to be substituted off and there was anger on the sidelines.” http://markting10.nl/ Llorente was used tentatively by boss Antonio Conte following his Bosman arrival, but he’s been used with regularity in recent weeks. “I feel better every time I play,” he added. “And I want to improve with every appearance, trying to score goals and gain more and more confidence in this team. “It is not something that is done overnight.”
  12. JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Asamoah or Ogbonna for Real? Nov 5, 2013 Juventus boss Antonio Conte has one doubt to resolve before naming his starting XI for the game against Real Madrid tonight. http://markting10.nl/ The Old Lady are set to again be fielded in the 4-3-3 shape which they used in the 2-1 loss in Spain two weeks ago. The only decision Conte has to make regards who will begin in the left-back role and that will be a choice of Kwadwo Asamoah or Angelo Ogbonna. The latter was used in that role during the first encounter between the two sides, but Sky Sport Italia are suggesting the tactician will now opt for the Ghanaian instead. http://markting10.nl/ Leonardo Bonucci will be fielded alongside Andrea Barzagli in the middle as Giorgio Chiellini is suspended. Claudio Marchisio will form part of a trident attack alongside Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente. Juventus probable: Buffon; Caceres, Barzagli, Bonucci, Ogbonna; Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba; Marchisio, Llorente, Tevez.
  13. JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Varane reveals defensive worries The France international has urged his team-mates not to ignore their defensive duties and has set his sights on the full three points against Juventus. Nov 5, 2013 Raphael Varane has insisted that Real Madrid must improve in defence if they are to be successful this term and feels the entire team is responsible for their vulnerability at the back. http://markting10.nl/ The Santiago Bernabeu side have conceded five goals in their last two games and Varane has acknowledged that they will have to do better in order to win silverware. "We can improve defensively and for me it's something that we have to improve together," Varane stated at a press conference. "It isn't just an issue for the defenders, but for the whole team. If we all make a coordinated effort, we'll improve." http://markting10.nl/ The France international then went on to stress that he's happy to play alongside both Sergio Ramos and Pepe. "I'm comfortable playing both with Ramos and Pepe. They're different, but equally good. "I don't worry about who I'm playing with. I'm comfortable playing with both of them." http://markting10.nl/ Varane also had his say on Tuesday's Champions League encounter against Juventus and insisted that Madrid must match the Serie A champions' intensity. "They need to win and they're going to hit us with a fast pace and a lot of guts. We have to match the intensity that they're going to bring to the match. http://markting10.nl/ "We want to win because we're looking to be group leaders." Madrid currently lead Group B with nine points from three games.

  15. JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Juventus squad for Real Madrid Nov 4, 2013 Juventus have named their 20-man squad for the match against Real Madrid on Tuesday, and will be without Giorgio Chiellini. The defender was given his marching orders at Santiago Bernabeu two weeks’ ago, having been adjudged to have elbowed Cristiano Ronaldo. http://markting10.nl/ As such, the Italy international will miss the return fixture tomorrow. The Bianconeri though, welcome back Fabio Quagliarella to the squad. Juventus squad to play Real Madrid: Buffon, Caceres, Ogbonna, Pogba, Marchisio, Tevez, De Ceglie, Giovinco, Peluso, Llorente, Barzagli, Bonucci, Padoin, Pirlo, Asamoah, Vidal, Quagliarella, Storari, Isla, Rubinho
  16. JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Marchisio: Juventus have a lot of respect for Real Madrid Nov 4, 2013 Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio stated that the Bianconeri respect Real Madrid as the two sides prepare to battle on Tuesday in Champions League action. http://markting10.nl/ The midfielder admitted that Los Blancos are one of the biggest clubs in the world along with having some of the best players. “Real Madrid? We have a lot of respect for them. They are one of the biggest clubs in the world with great players,” he told Bwin in an interview alongside Luka Modric. “Who would I take from them? I will say Cristiano Ronaldo because he scores a lot of goals but also Sergio Ramos because he is the leader of the defence. http://markting10.nl/ “For me football is a passion that has been with me since I was a child. When I win there is an incredible emotion. “My movement without the ball? I look to run as much as possible in order to be as dangerous as possible. http://markting10.nl/ “Being a Juventus player is the best. The Champions League is the most important competition but I must be ready for every match. “It is great to play at the Juventus Stadium. It has brought us luck as we regularly win at home.”
  17. JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Tevez: Match against Real Madrid is like a final for Juventus Nov 4, 2013 Juventus striker Carlos Tevez has stated that the Bianconeri must approach their match against Real Madrid on Tuesday as if it were a final. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri currently sit in third place in Group B of the Champions League after only collecting two points from their first three matches. As a result Tevez believes the Italian giants must win their next three matches to have any chance of making it to the knockout stage of the competition, starting with Tuesday’s battle against Los Blancos. “I don’t think Real are struggling,” he told reporters at the pre-match press conference. http://markting10.nl/ “They are a great offensive squad, meanwhile they have a few more problems in defence. “Tomorrow will be like a final for us because in order to qualify we have to win the next three matches. http://markting10.nl/ “Duel with Cristiano Ronaldo? I hope it is a great match for everyone. It is an important match. We must look to stop him. “Casillas starts in the Champions League? Those are Ancelotti’s decisions, nothing changes for us.
  18. JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Champions League Preview: Juventus vs. Real Madrid — Controlling your own destiny Nov 4, 2013 Let us rewind this story to a little less than a year ago. Back to Nov. 20, 2012, to be exact. Juventus found themselves in dire need of points and the (supposed) top team in the group was coming to Turin. Juve were coming off a so-so showing over the weekend, but it didn't matter — everybody knew what was at stake. http://markting10.nl/ That game, Juventus vs. Chelsea at Juventus Stadium, not only saw Juve leapfrog the then-Champions League holders, but also made us all forget about the way the group stages started. It was a vintage showing. Juve not only beat the defending champions, but absolutely crushed them. It was, hands down, one of the best games of the Antonio Conte era in Turin. With that, we have this: The more things change, the more things (kinda) stay the same. Real Madrid comes to Turin with Juventus sitting in third behind Los Blancos and Galatasaray. Sound familiar, doesn't it? It should. Juve may have one more game to play with compared to when Chelsea rolled into town for Round 2 a year ago, but the situations are still a lot alike. Conte's squad needs points in the worst possible way. Two draws and a loss in three games is all to show for Juve's Champions League campaign thus far. On the other hand, Carlo Ancelotti's men are in the driver's seat in Group B with a full nine out of nine points. http://markting10.nl/ Quite the differing situations, isn't it? Real wins, they're in the knockout stages; Juventus wins, they're heading into their final two group-stage games against Copenhagen (home) and Galatasaray (away) with a much better chance of advancing than before. The Bianconeri control their own destiny. If Juventus truly take advantage of the opportunity in front of them, good things will follow. And we all know that the group stage is just the start of what this team wants to take part, not the end of it. What better way to say you do mean business than to feed what is likely to be one of the best atmospheres at Juventus Stadium all season and against a team that a good number of people think can win the whole damn thing? I like that idea. I hope Conte reads about it somewhere. http://markting10.nl/ GOOD NEWS What did the first time around against Real Madrid do? It proved a point. It showed us that Juve can rise to the occasion when things aren't going well and hang with the big boys. Even with a loss, it helped begin a new run of improvement for a team that just a few days earlier got absolutely stunned in Florence. It brought confidence back, it brought a sense of belief back, it showed us they hadn't lost their hunger. Other than getting three points and putting them in your pocket for the trip home, you can't ask for much more than that. BAD NEWS Surprise, surprise! Juve will be missing key players tomorrow night. Conte will be without two of his top defenders tomorrow night, with Giorgio Chiellini being suspended after his undeserved red card and Stephan Licthsteiner won't take part because the injury he picked up last month won't seem to go away. The same goes for Mirko Vucinic. This just in: I am getting tired of writing about the same players being injured. http://markting10.nl/ WHAT TO WATCH FOR 1. Antonio Conte has to go back to the 4-3-3, right? ...RIGHT? Sure, it was a loss in Madrid, but you can't blame it on the way Juventus played. The shift to the 4-3-3, one of the formations that helped Juve win the first of their two straight Scudetti, had a whole lot to do with the team's performance. Based on that, Conte has to deploy the same tactics...right? It would only make sense. Like Ivo said in his Juve-Madrid recap two weeks back, having something other than the 3-5-2 will do Conte a whole lot of good going into the future. http://markting10.nl/ 2. If Juve go to the expected 4-3-3, who's the other winger? I think it's safe to say Claudio Marchisio isn't a winger and will never be one. That's not breaking news. That's news we've known for years and years on end. But he was deployed as a makeshift winger in Madrid instead of playing behind the Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente like some rumors before kickoff were saying would happen. Might Conte go in the same direction with Marchisio out wide? I have no idea, but it kinda seems like that will be the case. If Conte liked what he saw, then I wouldn't expect him to change. And there's also the trickle down effect. If Marchisio is out on the wing, then who plays in the center of the midfield will be a moot point. But if Conte decides to go with somebody like Sebastian Giovinco or Mr. Champions League aka Fabio Quagliarella in a more attack-minded trident, then that's a whole different matter entirely. http://markting10.nl/ 3. Whether Juve will be able to set the tone early on. The stadium will be electric (more on that later), that's pretty much assumed at this point. The crowd will be ready to go from the opening whistle, and so will Juve if they want to come away with all three points. This won't be one of the relegation battlers Juve have faced the last couple of weekends where a sub-par effort might be able to get the job done. No, no. If Conte's men come out flat, Real Madrid will make them pay for it. That's what good teams do. What made Juve successful in Madrid? They were able to play their game — one for all and all for one common goal. http://markting10.nl/ 4. The performance of Juve's improving defensive unit. I could basically write what I did last time about the attacking threats Real Madrid have. Cristian Ronaldo, Angel di Maria, Gareth Bale — the names are right there in front of us. But you wanna know how many goals Juve have given up since their visit to Madrid a couple weeks ago? Zero. The defense, for the most part, has gotten their act together since the second-half meltdown against Fiorentina on Oct. 20. But the catch is this: No Chiellini, no Lichtsteiner. No exactly what you want to hear going into such an important game. http://markting10.nl/ 5. The atmosphere at Juventus Stadium. Much like the squad itself, the Juventus Stadium crowd has done its part when the occasion calls for it ever since the doors opened in 2011. Keeping with the Juve-Chelsea references, I remember sitting at home watching the game on television and the crowd noise was so loud before kickoff you couldn't even hear the Champions League anthem played over the speakers. And as much as I love listening to "THE CHAMPIONS!!!" over and over again, it was deafening inside the crown jewel of Italian stadiums. It only got better as the game — and the goals — went on. And if Antonio Conte wants it to be rowdy and as loud as it can be possibly be against Real Madrid tomorrow night, then that's exactly how it should be. My starting XI (4-3-3): Buffon; Caceres, Barzagli, Bonucci, Ogbonna; Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba; Tevez, Llorente, Marchisio
  19. JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID November 5, 2013 - 8:45 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Howard Webb (England) Tactical Battles That Will Shape Juventus' Clash with Real Madrid Nov 4, 2013 Real Madrid is set to travel to Italy to face off with Juventus on Tuesday in Champions League play. The first meeting at the Santiago Bernabeu ended in a 2-1 victory for the Spaniards, but the second clash could prove even more exciting. http://markting10.nl/ The visitors are looking deadly entering the match with Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale firing on all cylinders while Juventus are coming off of two huge wins in the Serie A. Either side could come away victorious, and the match will most likely come down to a few key battles that will take place. In this article, we will take a look at those tactical battles and how they should play out. http://markting10.nl/ Arturo Vidal Versus the Double Pivot In the first meeting between these two giants, Arturo Vidal played an important role. Until his humorous penalty appeal, the Chilean was without question the most menacing attacker Real Madrid had to deal with. Vidal will likely be just as important in Round 2. However, Real Madrid’s attempts to handle the attacker will rest heavily on the shoulders of the double pivot. Whether it will be Xabi Alonso, Sami Khedira, Luka Modric or Asier Illarramendi, it will not be easy. http://markting10.nl/ Vidal has a knack for playing all over the pitch and loves to create havoc behind the strikers. Whichever pairing is in the double pivot will have to be at their best, or Vidal could provide the spark that Juventus needs to win the match in Italy. Look for Vidal to use his pace and his ability to create space to really cause a problem for Real Madrid. With this in mind, Carlo Ancelotti will most likely opt for a more defensive pairing in front of the back line. http://markting10.nl/ Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale Versus the Juventus Defense Cristiano Ronaldo was the deciding factor in the first match as he scored both of Real Madrid’s goals. Entering Round 2, the winger could be even deadlier. In the last two matches, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale have combined for seven goals and four assists. That is a scary statistic for Juventus. The Italians changed things up in the first meeting, deviating from the regular three-man defense for a more traditional one. It is safe to say that test failed and that Juventus will most likely stick with what it knows this time around. http://markting10.nl/ No matter how many players it sticks in defense, it will still struggle to hold back the pairing of Ronaldo and Bale. Real Madrid will be looking to score as many goals as possible and is in the perfect form to light up the Italians on Tuesday. Juventus has been arguably the best defensive club in Europe over the last few seasons, and this is just the match it will have to prove it in. http://markting10.nl/ Andrea Pirlo Versus Real Madrid's Defense Andrea Pirlo was miraculously marked out of the match the first time these two met. The Italian magician was unable to provide the creativity he often does, and Juventus suffered because of it. However, don’t think for a moment that it will happen again. Pirlo has made his name on being one of the brightest and most influential players in the world, and he won’t let Real Madrid get the better of him twice. http://markting10.nl/ On Tuesday, Real Madrid’s defense will again be tasked with making sure that Pirlo is unable to control the game for the Italians. The midfield will play an important role as well, but it is ultimately the defenders will who dictate how much Pirlo is able to do. The 34-year-old is invaluable to Juventus. No one else in the squad can do what he can, and he must succeed for the Old Lady to get the better of their Spanish rivals. http://markting10.nl/ Real Madrid's Creativity Versus the Organization of Juventus Juventus remains one of the most well-organized and smartest football clubs around. It will seek to use its intelligence to get the better of Real and will have one serious issue in its favor. After the exit of Mesut Ozil, Real Madrid still does not have that one player that ties everything together. Luka Modric has shown that he is creative, and Isco has been able to link up play, but neither midfielder pulls the strings in total control. Angel Di Maria’s passing oftentimes leads to chances, but he is not a general in the middle of the pitch. http://markting10.nl/ Real Madrid is a team that relies on heavy attacking and deadly scorers. Luckily for Los Blancos, those pieces are there in abundance. However, the lack of a real tactician in the midfield could stunt the performance of the likes of Ronaldo and Bale. Simply put, if no one is able to give the ball to the attackers, scoring goals will be very difficult. Modric may be the most likely candidate for Real Madrid, but you can count on Juventus being organized enough to keep the Croatian at bay. In truth, this may be the battle that determines the match. http://markting10.nl/ Everybody Versus the Referee The real story of the first match between Real Madrid and Juventus was the referee. Many believe that Giorgio Chiellini was unfairly sent off in a call that completely changed the face of the match. To be honest, this has been a terrible year for refereeing. Hopefully, the man with the whistle will not play as a big of a role this time around, but there is always that possibility. http://markting10.nl/ Everyone just wants to see these two giants go at it. Let’s all hope the referee does what he is supposed to do and control the game rather than decide the game. With that being said, enjoy this feast of a Champions League match!
