CHIEVO VERONA - JUVENTUS September 25, 2013 8:45 PM Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi — Verona Referee: Andrea De Marco HT: Chievo shock Juventus 1-0 Sep 25, 2013 Juventus are surprisingly trailing 1-0 to Chievo after a Gigi Buffon error gifted Cyril Thereau. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri rotated the squad again after fighting back to beat Hellas Verona 2-1 on Sunday. Chievo were fresh from defeating Udinese 2-1, their first win of the season, though Dario Dainelli and Perparim Hetemaj were unavailable, but Marcelo Estigarribia faced his old club. Juve have only ever lost here once, 1-0 in 2009-10, along with seven wins and three draws. It was a slow start in Verona with Paul Pogba having the first real chance on 20 minutes, his header off target from a Federico Peluso cross. Incredibly, Chievo took the lead, as Buffon’s poor clearance fell to Gennaro Sardo and his cross found Cyril Thereau’s volley. Fabio Quagliarella’s effort smacked Claiton in the face and as the move continued Andrea Pirlo’s follow-up was deflected over the bar. Quagliarella stung Cristian Puggioni’s palms from distance and Juve had penalty appeals for an Estigarribia handling offence, as he was scuffling with Pogba at the time. Llorente should’ve equalised before the break, but his header had no power behind it on Mauricio Isla’s cross. Chievo 1-0 Juventus (Half-Time) Scorers: Thereau 28 (C ) Chievo: Puggioni; Sardo, Claiton, Cesar, Drame, Bernardini; Bentivoglio, Rigoni, Estigarribia; Paloschi, Thereau Juventus: Buffon; Barzagli, Ogbonna, Chiellini; Isla, Pogba, Pirlo, Marchisio, Peluso; Quagliarella, Llorente Ref: De Marco http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

CHIEVO VERONA - JUVENTUS September 25, 2013 8:45 PM Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi — Verona Referee: Andrea De Marco Carlos Tevez, Arturo Vidal rested by Juventus Sep 25, 2013 Juventus coach Antonio Conte has decided to rest Carlos Tevez for tonight's trip to Chievo, with Claudio Marchisio fit to start for the first time in Serie A this season. http://markting10.nl/ Tevez has been ever-present in the Old Lady's first four league games but misses out this evening, with Fabio Quagliarella returning to partner Fernando Llorente in attack. Arturo Vidal also steps aside as Conte decides to rest players for his side's third game in eight days, with Marchisio making a welcome return for the Bianconeri. Chievo are without Dario Dainelli and Perparim Hetemaj tonight as they go in search of back-to-back victories, but Cyril Thearau is passed fit and returns in attack. CHIEVO: Puggioni; Sardo, Claiton, Cesar, Drame, Bernardini; Bentivoglio, Rigoni, Estigarribia; Paloschi, Thereau JUVENTUS: Buffon; Barzagli, Ogbonna, Chiellini; Isla, Pogba, Pirlo, Marchisio, Peluso; Quagliarella, Llorente http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

CHIEVO VERONA - JUVENTUS September 25, 2013 8:45 PM Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi — Verona Referee: Andrea De Marco Line-ups: Chievo-Juventus Sep 25, 2013 Juventus rotate the squad again for their visit to Chievo, as Fabio Quagliarella and Fernando Llorente start. http://markting10.nl/ It kicks off at the Stadio Bentegodi in Verona at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT), click here for a match preview. Llorente scored his debut Serie A goal on Sunday in a 2-1 win over Hellas and hopes he can do the double over clubs from Verona. Gigi Buffon returns between the sticks after he was rested at the weekend and Claudio Marchisio has his first start of the Serie A season. Chievo celebrated their first victory of the campaign on Sunday, beating Udinese 2-1 despite conceding after just 50 seconds. Dario Dainelli and Perparim Hetemaj are unavailable, but Giuseppe Sannino could change his system to 5-3-2 in order to counter Juve’s tactics. Juventus have only ever lost here once, 1-0 in 2009-10, along with seven wins and three draws. CHIEVO: Puggioni; Sardo, Claiton, Cesar, Drame, Bernardini; Bentivoglio, Rigoni, Estigarribia; Paloschi, Thereau Chievo bench: Squizzi, Silvestri, Papp, Frey, Pamic, Acosty, Radovanovic, Calello, Improta, Sestu, Pellissier, Ardemagni JUVENTUS: Buffon; Barzagli, Ogbonna, Chiellini; Isla, Pogba, Pirlo, Marchisio, Peluso; Quagliarella, Llorente Juventus bench: Storari, Vannucchi, Lichtsteiner, Motta, Bonucci, De Ceglie, Padoin, Vidal, Asamoah, Vucinic, Tevez, Giovinco http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

CHIEVO VERONA - JUVENTUS September 25, 2013 8:45 PM Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi — Verona Referee: Andrea De Marco MATCH PREVIEW Sep 25, 2013 Fresh from comeback weekend victories, both Chievo and Juventus are gunning for two in a row in their midweek clash. http://markting10.nl/ Chievo registered their first win of the new term against Udinese, but had to recover from Maicosuel’s second minute goal. Sergio Pellissier opened his season account, while Luca Rigoni made it 2-1 before the break. Coach Giuseppe Sannino urged the Flying Donkeys to remain grounded following their breakthrough triumph. He stressed they must continue working hard in order to gain positive results. Dario Dainelli, Perparim Hetemaj and Tomaz Kupisz are set to miss the clash through injury. Juventus recovered from successive draws to defeat Verona. They too were forced to overturn a deficit thanks to Fabrizio Cacciatore’s opener. Quick-fire responses from Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente established the lead. Antonio Conte was pleased the team were able to break down Verona’s bolted defence. He was also happy for Llorente, noting the debut goal boosted his confidence following endless chatter surrounding his position within the team. Given their heavy schedule, Conte says rotation is inevitable. Simone Pepe, Martin Caceres and Rubinho are hampered by injury and sidelined for the match. Chievo have earned maximum points just once in the fixture’s past. On the other hand, the Bianconeri have dominated with six wins under their belts, in addition to a trio of stalemates. Keep an eye on: Alberto Paloschi (Chievo) – Now established as a regular starter for the Gialloblu, Paloschi will aim to add to his pair of goals this term. They both arrived against Napoli, and the former Milan striker will be aiming to net against another Scudetto contender. Form guide: Chievo ( -D L L W) Juventus ( -W W D W) Last season: Chievo 1-2 Juventus Stat fact: Just one of Juve’s six Verona wins have come by a margin of more than two goals, a 4-1 success in 2002-03. Chievo (probable): Puggioni; Sardo, Papp, Cesar, Drame; Estigarribia, Rigoni, Radovanovic, Improta; Thereau, Paloschi Juventus (probable): Buffon; Bonucci, Ogbonna, Chiellini; Lichtsteiner, Pogba, Pirlo, Marchisio, Peluso; Quagliarella, Llorente http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

CHIEVO VERONA - JUVENTUS September 25, 2013 8:45 PM Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi — Verona Referee: Andrea De Marco Chievo-Juventus Betting Preview: Expect a game of few goals at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi La Vecchia Signora have struggled for goals at this ground in recent seasons and Al Hain-Cole expects that run to continue against Giuseppe Santino's men on Wednesday. Sep 25, 2013 Juventus will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the season when they travel to the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi to face Chievo on Wednesday. http://markting10.nl/ Having secured a 2-1 win over Hellas Verona on Sunday, Antonio Conte’s men are 4/9 (1.44) favourites with Coral to triumph on a return trip to the northeast city this evening. New boss Giuseppe Sannino secured his first win at the fourth attempt against Udinese on Saturday and his side are available at 6/1 (7.00) to follow that up with just a second victory over the reigning champions in 21 Serie A encounters. Four of the last six meetings between these sides have resulted in a draw, and you can get odds of 10/3 (4.33) on them cancelling each other out once again in this one. Despite winning their second consecutive title at a canter last season, la Vecchia Signora’s success was more a triumph of efficiency than potency, as they only managed to hit the back of the net more than twice in nine of their 38 league fixtures, and only four times on the road. What really marked Conte’s men apart was a defence that conceded just 24 goals, 12 fewer than the second most miserly team, and that remains the foundation of their game plan at the beginning of this campaign. I Mussi Volanti are therefore unlikely to throw too many men forward in attack and will hope instead to frustrate their opponents, as they look to rediscover the home form that made the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi such a difficult away ground last season. The hosts conceded just 16 times in 19 matches in front of their own fans last campaign and have restricted Juventus to just three goals in their last four visits, so goals are unlikely to come easy for the guests tonight. Sannino came close to frustrating the champions in a 1-0 away defeat while in charge of ultimately-relegated Palermo last season, and odds of 17/20 (1.85) are well worth backing on him masterminding another low-scoring affair this time, with no more than two goals going in. That bet would have paid out in 11 of Chievo’s last 14 home league fixtures, as well as five of the visitors’ last six on the road, not to mention six of the last seven encounters between the sides at this ground. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

CHIEVO VERONA - JUVENTUS September 25, 2013 8:45 PM Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi — Verona Referee: Andrea De Marco Chievo Verona v Juventus – Team News, Tactics, Lineups And Prediction Sep 25, 2013 Chievo, like their more-often-than-not rocky pitch, have presented bumps for Juventus in the past. The Champions dispatched of Chievo’s neighbors, Hellas Verona, at the Juventus Stadium and maintained their unbeaten run this season. New boys – Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente –were the heroes on the night as they fought back from a goal down to comfortably record their third win of the season. http://markting10.nl/ As for the home side, they recorded they’re coming off their first win of the campaign. The Flying Donkeys came from behind to beat Udinese 2-1. Sergio Pellissier and Luca Rigoni got their names on the score-sheet for Chievo. That win meant they now sit in 14th position in the standings, a position they will hope to better as the season moves on. Team News and Tactical Brief CHIEVO VERONA It took a while but Chievo finally grabbed their first three points of the season against Udinese. The Flying Donkeys are a modest side that has always been a tricky hurdle at their home turf, the Bentegodi. With a few smart additions and the fact that they manage to retain the want-away Cyril Thereau, Chievo could be a bit more ambitious this time around and improve upon their 12th place finish from last season. Manager Giuseppe Sannino should stick with his 4-4-2 formation. The win against Udinese should definitely act as a much needed boost in confidence as they prepare to host the Champions. Of the 8 goals they’ve conceded, 6 have come in the first half which indicates that they are slow starters. Maicousel, who scored Udinese’s goal during the weekend , netted within a minute from kick-off. A few changes are expected to be made by Sannino to his starting eleven with Sardo, Papp, Hetemaj and Thereau all supposedly given the nod. Chievo should take a more organized approach to the game. As most teams have done this season, they will attempt to crowd out the midfield and defense and get bodies behind the ball. Sannino might task one of Thereau or Paloschi to shadow Andrea Pirlo. Pirlo hasn’t found his form yet and was impressively marked out of the game by Jorginho against Hellas. The Coach will also be aware of the vulnerability Juventus have shown from set-pieces. The previous two goals conceded did come from dead ball situations, which is quite startling given the caliber of the Bianconeri’s defenders. Captain Sergio Pellissier ,who has been the scourge of Juventus in the past, will likely start from the bench. Dainelli and Kupisz should be unavailable. Possible Starting XI (4-4-2): Puggioni; Sardo, Papp, Cesar, Drame; Hetemaj, Radovanovic, Rigoni, Estigarribia; Thereau, Paloschi JUVENTUS You got the feeling of déjà vu as Juventus struggled to finish off their chances against Hellas Verona. The visitors sat deep and were organized as the Bianconeri knocked on their door. It took a simple pass from Leonardo Bonucci to open up a defense that had dozed off, Tevez would make no mistake. Fernando Llorente finally got his chance to showcase his talent and justified his selection with a trademark header. The Spaniard roared alongside the Bianconeri fans as he scored, what turned out to be the winner. Rotation is the need of the hour as games come by thick and fast. Reports from Italy suggest Buffon, Chiellini, Lichtsteiner, Marchisio, Peluso and Vucinic will all return to the starting eleven. With six new players poised to start, the aim is obviously to keep the players fresh as Juventus prepare to tackle all three competitions they feature in. Much of Juve’s build up play revolves around Carlos Tevez. The Argentine has slotted in with ease, and has backed claims that he matches Conte’s philosophy with tireless performances. Against a team that will be content to sit back and allow the opposition to have the ball, his creativity comes into play. Peluso was one of Juve’s best players against Copenhagen, delivering countless dangerous balls into the box. A player who has garnered criticism for his less than impressive outings but one must keep in mind that he is a natural full-back and showed his quality in his favorable position against the Danish side. Pepe and Martin Caceres are on the treatment table and will be unavailable. Possible Starting XI (3-5-2): Buffon; Bonucci, Ogbonna, Chiellini; Lichtsteiner, Pogba, Pirlo, Marchisio, Peluso; Tevez, Vucinic Player To Watch Out For Carlos Tevez (Juventus) JuventusTevez was on fire against Hellas Verona. Dropping deep to receive possession and wouldn’t turn down an invitation to blast one on goal. His persistence paid off when he found the back of the net and he has been paying back the faith Juventus have shown in him. Expect him to bring his ‘A’ game against Chievo on Wednesday. Prediction Chievo Verona 1-2 Juventus Fatigue will certainly act as a factor that will determine the outcome of this game. The players fitness levels will be tested to the death. Quality would suggest a Juventus win but having put away another Bianconeri during the weekend; Chievo will look to spark another surprise. However, the Champions should grind out a victory. Juventus not reliant on Tevez, says Conte The successful coach has hailed the Argentine's contribution but has insisted they are not overdependent on the former Manchester City man. Sep 25, 2013 Antonio Conte says Juventus are not overly reliant on Carlos Tevez, citing their previous two Serie A championship victories as examples of success without their Argentine talisman. http://markting10.nl/ Tevez has scored four goals - three in Serie A and one in the Super Cup - since joining Juventus from Manchester City this summer, and netted the winning goal against Sampdoria before scoring the first in the 2-1 victory over Verona this weekend. However, Conte has stressed that the Italian champions are not overdependent on the 29-year-old and must not forget the importance of other players around him. "Tevez is doing a very good job, but we shouldn't forget that Juventus won the last two championships: we won one Scudetto undefeated and the other one as protagonists," Conte said at a press conference. "At that time, Tevez wasn't part of the team, therefore we should not take away from players who were part of the team last year because they have been determined and allowed us to win. "Of course Tevez brought something more to the team in terms of skills. He is a champion and I'm very happy to have him. But we shouldn't forget that in the previous two years, Juventus managed to win without Tevez. "Tevez is part of a game which can enhance his skills and his skills can enhance our game. We have never depended on anyone and we never will. That is not my idea of football." Conte also had his say on the situation of Sebastian Giovinco, who has been struggling to get regular first-team action so far this season, and stressed that the Italy international still has a role to play at Juventus. "Giovinco is doing a good job. When he came on, he put in a good performance in the matches against Copenhagen [in the Champions League] and Verona," he continued. "He will have his chance: it could be on Wednesday, on Sunday, in the Champions League, against Milan, or even after the break. "When I get the feeling that Giovinco may be important from the first minute, I'll line him up from the beginning. He is a strong player and I don't usually make mistakes when I make a technical analysis. He combines qualities with speed. "Some people don't like him, but I like him very much, even if I'm not letting him play that much. He is one of our five forwards and, like the others, he will be taken into consideration when I believe it's the right time."

CHIEVO VERONA - JUVENTUS September 25, 2013 8:45 PM Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi — Verona Referee: Andrea De Marco Chievo-Juventus Preview: Bianconeri out to prolong unbeaten run The Italian champions recorded a narrow victory over Hellas Verona on Sunday and travel to their city rivals to continue their title defence on Wednesday. Sep 24, 2013 Juventus are out to continue their unbeaten start to the Serie A season when they visit Chievo on Wednesday. http://markting10.nl/ Antonio Conte's side have won three and drawn one of their opening four league games to get their bid for a third straight Scudetto off to a strong start. Their latest success did not come without complications though, as they had to come from behind to defeat Chievo's neighbours Hellas Verona 2-1 at the Juventus Stadium on Sunday. Fabrizio Cacciatore put the away side ahead, but Carlos Tevez equalised before Fernando Llorente scored the winner in first-half injury time on his first start for the club. And the Spain international is targeting further improvement as he settles in Turin. "I normally take a bit of time to hit top form and knew I'd have to work a great deal, also because I pretty much missed the whole of last season," he told the club's official website. "In addition I needed to settle in and learn the language, and adapting to a new environment is never an easy task for anyone. "I'm getting on great here and feel the manager has faith in me, but I know I need to keep working to get back into peak condition." Conte made five changes for the victory over Verona, but goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, and defenders Stephan Lichtsteiner and Giorgio Chiellini could earn recalls against Chievo. Winger SImone Pepe is likely to miss out again with a thigh problem, although midfielder Claudio Marchisio could start after coming on as a substitute in the win over Verona after a long-standing knee injury. Giuseppe Sannino's side have not beaten Juve since January 2010, although they have drawn four of the previous six Serie A encounters between the sides. And Chievo will head into this showdown with the champions buoyed by their first league success of the season after they defeated Udinese 2-1 on Saturday. Srikes from Sergio Pellissier and Luca Rigoni before half-time ensured the three points after Maicosuel had put the visitors in front after just one minute at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi. Pellissier and Alberto Paloschi are likely to once more lead the line against Juve, while midfielder Alessio Sestu is expected to feature despite taking a knock in the victory over Udinese. CHIEVO VERONA - JUVENTUS September 25, 2013 8:45 PM Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi — Verona Referee: Andrea De Marco Conte stunned by Serie A strength The Italian coach says that the likes of Napoli, Roma, Inter and Fiorentina have surprised him, while revealing his plan to rotate his squad. Sep 24, 2013 Antonio Conte has revealed his shock at the strong start Juventus' Scudetto rivals have made in the opening four games of the Serie A season. http://markting10.nl/ Napoli and Roma are top with a 100 per cent record, while Inter, Fiorentina and the Bianconeri have dropped just two points to date, suggesting the Italian top flight could be set for its tightest race in years. Conte believes that it will be nigh-on impossible to predict who will top the table this season, while admitting his surprise at the strength of the division. "I honestly did not expect such strong responses from Inter, AC Milan, Napoli, Roma and Fiorentina," he told reporters on Tuesday. "It’s a testimony to those sides who are showing that you can get out of difficult situations through technical quality. It’s going to be very difficult to win in Italy this season." Conte also revealed his plan to rotate his Juve squad for their clash with Chievo on Wednesday, but insisted he would only be tweaking his starting XI. "We'll have to pay close attention to Chievo," the 44-year-old added. "It's the fourth game in a short space of time, so it's only natural that there will be some rotations to the team. But whoever comes in will maintain the balance of the team. "Last year we made some changes for Coppa Italia games. When I speak of rotating the team, it will be a measured thing. It's not like I’ll be making seven or eight changes. "It often happens that the opponent changes the way they play because of our quality. It's not easy. Because you'll often find teams with eight men behind the ball. "This happened at the weekend against Verona. It’s not easy. I expect the same thing will happen tomorrow as well." http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

CHIEVO VERONA - JUVENTUS September 25, 2013 8:45 PM Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi — Verona Referee: Andrea De Marco Sannino prepares Juve tricks Sep 24, 2013 Giuseppe Sannino has some tricks up his sleeve to block Juventus on Wednesday, just days after Chievo beat Udinese. http://markting10.nl/ The Flying Donkeys host the Scudetto holders at 20.45. “It was a tough victory against Udinese, but now we have to focus on the next game with an extremely strong side,” Coach Sannino told the club website. “All the players who step on to the field give their all, that is what I ask of them, but we can always improve.” It’s reported Chievo will adjust their tactics from a 4-4-2 to a 5-3-2 to counter the Juventus midfield. After seeing the effect Jorginho had when man-marking Andrea Pirlo on Sunday for Hellas Verona, he could give striker Alberto Paloschi the job of tracking the Italy legend. “Sergio Pellissier and Luca Rigoni have a lot of experience and can set the example for the other players. Sergio in particular can let them know what it means to wear this jersey. Rigoni also could’ve had a more ‘important’ career elsewhere. “The fans have always supported us and we thank them. This year Serie A is very difficult, but we will try to do our best.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

CHIEVO VERONA - JUVENTUS September 25, 2013 8:45 PM Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi — Verona Referee: Andrea De Marco Conte on League start & Chievo challenge Sep 24, 2013 Antonio Conte has admitted his surprise at the superb starts to the season from some of Italy’s top clubs. http://markting10.nl/ The likes of Fiorentina, Roma, Inter and Napoli have begun the new campaign in impressive fashion, and the Bianconeri Coach has claimed that the quality on show in Serie A has been better than ever. “I honestly did not expect such strong responses from Inter, Milan, Napoli, Roma and Fiorentina,” he told a Press conference. “It’s a testimony to those sides who are showing that you can get out of difficult situations through technical quality.
