Conte underlines sub rules at Juve Sep 24, 2013 Antonio Conte has reportedly told his Juventus squad that he expects his substituted players to take a seat on the bench once they are replaced. http://markting10.nl/ According to the giornalaccio rosa dello Sport, the tactician reminded his squad of such rules following Andrea Pirlo’s actions at the weekend. The Italian international opted to head directly to the changing rooms after being replaced by Claudio Marchisio in the 66th minute of the win against Verona. “I will tell Andrea that when he leaves the field after being substituted, he must remain on the bench and wait for his teammates,” Conte said on Sunday. “The good thing is that he has rested for 25 minutes and will be ready for Chievo Verona.” The former Milan player was also taken off by Conte in the 1-1 draw at Inter, although that change came in the 86th minute. Pirlo, 34, will be out of contract at the end of the season.

Llorente: It wasn't easy to adapt The towering attacker scored his first goal for Juventus at the weekend and admits he has found it tough to acclimatise to life in Italy since his summer move. Sep 23, 2012 Fernando Llorente has admitted that he struggled to adapt to his new surroundings following his transfer from Athletic Bilbao to Juventus this summer. http://markting10.nl/ The Spain international scored his first goal for the Serie A champions since his Bosman move in the 2-1 win over Verona at the weekend after initially struggling to establish himself in the side alongside fellow summer signing Carlos Tevez. However, Llorente is now determined to keep on working in order to reach peak condition and prove his worth after his confidence-boosting winner on Sunday. "I normally take a bit of time to hit form and knew I’d have to work a great deal, also because I pretty much missed the whole of last season," the 28-year-old told the official Juventus website. "In addition, I needed to settle in and learn the language, and adapting to a new environment is never an easy task for anyone. "I’m getting on great here and feel the manager has faith in me, but I know I need to keep working to get back into peak condition."

Tevez happy for Llorente Sep 23, 2013 Carlos Tevez scored his third League goal for Juventus on Sunday, but he was delighted to see Fernando Llorente join him on the scoresheet. http://markting10.nl/ The Spaniard had only played a handful of minutes for the Old Lady before being given a place in the starting XI against Verona. And after going a goal down, the Old Lady grabbed a 2-1 win thanks to strikes from their two summer signings. “I’m really happy for Fernando, he’s working well and deserves to enjoy this moment,” the former Manchester City forward noted. “It’s difficult to play against teams who come here looking to shut us out. You have to manage to find the right spaces in between and make the most of the chances you get.” Tevez added: “We’re working hard and you can see the results out there on the pitch. “We know that expectations are high, but we’ll need patience to allow us to improve even more.”

Llorente: I needed time Sep 23, 2013 Fernando Llorente has defended the cautious way in which he has been used by boss Antonio Conte following his arrival at Juventus. http://markting10.nl/ The striker had only been fielded as a very late substitute in one of the club’s first five official games of the season. However, he was thrown into the starting XI against Verona on Sunday and celebrated his debut at the Juventus Stadium with a headed goal. “I normally take a bit of time to hit form and knew I’d have to work a great deal, also because I pretty much missed the whole of last season,” said the Bosman signing from Athletic Bilbao. “In addition I needed to settle in and learn the language – and adapting to a new environment is never an easy task for anyone. “I’m getting on great here and feel the Coach has faith in me, but I know I need to keep working to get back into peak condition.” The 28-year-old’s strike proved to be the winner after Carlos Tevez had cancelled out Verona’s shock advantage. “I didn’t expect to net on my debut,” added the Spaniard. “I’m happy about scoring and contributing to the team’s victory.”

Tevez: Hard work paying off for Juventus The striker is aware of the high expectations at the Turin-based club but hopes fans display patience as teams look to frustrate the Serie A champions. Sep 22, 2013 Juventus striker Carlos Tevez has shared his relief that the team's hard work is paying off after they continued their unbeaten streak this season with a 2-1 win against Hellas Verona. http://markting10.nl/ The Bianconeri sit fourth in Serie A having won all but one of their four games, though they could drop down a spot if AC Milan fail to beat Napoli later on Sunday. With the Scudetto race looking extremely open at this early stage of the season - Napoli, Roma, Inter and Fiorentina are all tussling at the top - Tevez believes patience will pay dividends for the Turin-based club. "It's difficult to play against teams who come here to defend," the 29-year-old told the club's official website. "We must be able to find the right spaces and exploit the opportunities. "We are working hard in the field and the results are seen. We know that there are high expectations, but it takes patience to improve. Fernando Llorente was a surprise starter for Juve and responded by scoring his debut goal, something which strike partner Tevez was delighted to see. "I'm really happy for him, is working well and deserves the joy of today."

JUVENTUS 2 - 1 VERONA Fabrizio Cacciatore (36') Carlos Tévez (40′) Fernando Llorente (45+3′) September 22, 2013 3:00 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Mauro Bergonzi Attendance: 38000 Player Ratings Fernando Llorente silenced his critics with a first-half winner against the Gialloblu on Sunday, as the champions dominated proceedings despite the narrow margin of victory. Sep 22, 2013 Juventus Marco Storari - Bar the odd effort, the goalkeeper had a comfortable afternoon. Andrea Barzagli - The former Wolfsburg man put in another fine performance at the back, reading the match with considerable ease as he marshalled his troops wonderfully well in Buffon's absence. Angelo Obinze Ogbonna - The summer arrival looked less convincing than his defensive partners, as he continues to adapt to his new side's philosophy. Still, he showed enough potential to warrant his inclusion. Leonardo Bonucci - Showed great purpose in bringing the ball out of the back four and starting attacks from deep. Mauricio Isla - His energy and commitment could not be faulted as he found lots of space down the right flank, yet his end product was not consistent enough. Paul Pogba - The midfielder was industrious as ever but a little clumsy with the ball at feet. Nevertheless, his long-range shooting was always a threat. Andrea Pirlo - The midfielder was man-marked for much of the game and, as a result, his impact was severly diluted. Arturo Vidal - The midfielder battled until the final whistle, racing around the pitch to break up Verona's sparse counter attacks and ignite attacking spells. Kwadwo Asamoah - Linked up with Pogba very well in the opening stages but faded as the game wore on. Fernando Llorente - The Spaniard silenced his doubters in the best way possible - by scoring the winning goal. Lasted 70 minutes but showed glimpses of his quality throughout. Carlos Tévez - The Argentine gave the all-action performance that we're all accustomed to by now. Never gave the Veronese a moment's rest with his tenacity and skilful play and found the back of the net with a thunderbolt from a tight angle. Substitutions Claudio Marchisio - Almost marked his return from injury with a goal but was also shown a yellow card. Mirko Vučinić - All eyes were on how the Montenegrin would respond to Llorente's goal, but he did not make the most of his opportunity after being booked for dissent. Sebastian Giovinco - Late cameo from the diminutive attacker, who almost won his side a penalty in the closing stages. http://markting10.nl/ Hellas Verona Rafael de Andrade Bittencourt Pinheiro - Performed admirably between the sticks to deny Juventus from adding to their tally. Matteo Bianchetti - The teenager was extremely naive in the build-up to Tevez's opener as he was found ball-watching. Vangelis Moras - The Greek defender made a series of interventions early on and commanded his ground well. A. González - Partnered Moras and Bianchetti well in the heart of defence, although he was found wanting in his duel with Llorente. Fabrizio Cacciatore - The former Sampdoria man levelled the scores for his side and did not put a foot wrong for the remainder of the match. Alessandro Agostini - The veteran full-back was forced into submission for much of the afternoon by Isla and was replaced midway through the second half. Rômulo - The ex-Fiorentina midfielder was probably the most lively of his side's forward players, although his end product lacked quality. Emil Hallfredsson - Played most of the afternoon as a defensive winger with little success, thus neutralising any impact he may have had in advanced areas of the pitch. Jorginho - The Brazilian starlet showed glimpses of his potential in advanced areas, although those moments came too few and far between. Massimo Donati - Had a difficult afternoon after he was given the run-about by the Juventus midfield and offered very little protection to his defence. Daniele Cacia - The ex-Lecce man did very well to use his strength and hold the ball up at times, despite having virtually no support. Substitutions Juan Manuel Iturbe Arévalo - The young Argentine was keen to make an impact during his cameo and impressed with his dribbling ability and eye for goal. Juanito - Came on with the instruction of marking Pirlo out of the game and successfully limited the playmaker to very few touches. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS 2 - 1 VERONA Fabrizio Cacciatore (36') Carlos Tévez (40′) Fernando Llorente (45+3′) September 22, 2013 3:00 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Mauro Bergonzi Attendance: 38000 Llorente nets winner Fernando Llorente scored the winner on his full debut as Juventus came from behind to beat promoted Hellas Verona 2-1 in Turin. Sep 22, 2013 The Gialloblu arrived as giant-killers having beaten AC Milan on the opening day of the Serie A season but reigning champions Juve failed to heed the warning and conceded an opportunistic goal from Fabrizio Cacciatore. http://markting10.nl/ Carlos Tevez responded emphatically with a fiercely-struck equaliser and Llorente, making his bow at the Juventus Stadium, completed the turnaround with a header deep into first-half stoppage time. The victory offered reason to be cheerful to Juventus after a disappointing week which saw the Bianconeri held to 1-1 draws by both Inter Milan and FC Copenhagen, while Verona could take heart from a plucky performance that enhanced their reputation as the newcomers mostly likely to prosper. Perhaps in a defiant response to reports he had been dissatisfied with Llorente's pre-season performances following his free transfer from Athletic Bilbao, Juve coach Antonio Conte handed the Spaniard a first start of the new season. For most of the first half, though, it looked like he would be upstaged by fellow summer signing Tevez, as the dynamic Argentinian relentlessly terrorised the Verona box. He tried his luck from distance before Leonardo Bonucci fed Llorente in the area, Rafael rushing out to block. After Hellas enjoyed a good chance through Daniele Cacia, Tevez steamed up the other end to rifle a fierce strike at Rafael. The Brazilian received a cut to his chin in the tussle that followed and play was briefly suspended. The Brazilian keeper was back on his feet to deny Paul Pogba a free header and, on 25 minutes, he watched Tevez twist and drive an effort just over his crossbar. Tevez came knocking once again after exchanging swift passes with Arturo Vidal but after Rafael made the save, Verona raced up the other end to score. With the Juve backline distracted, Vangelis Moras' header snuck through to Cacciatore in the six-yard box and he tucked home without any fuss. The Bianconeri response was immediate and clinical as Tevez waited just two minutes to seize on Bonucci's through-ball and rocket a shot just under the bar. Verona were reeling and, three minutes into time added on, Llorente opened his account for the Italian champions with a headed finish from Vidal's cross. The visitors put their heads together over the break and came out strongly, Jorginho quickly finding himself in a shooting position, where he was denied by Bonucci. Juve pushed back and had Rafael sprawling to parry an Andrea Pirlo free-kick in the 64th minute. The bar saved Verona moments later, though, as Pogba's shot on the turn caught the keeper unawares. But try as they might, the Bianconeri could not find a third goal to finish their opponents off but Sebastian Giovinco - a late substitute for Tevez - looked particularly dangerous around the box to keep Rafael sweating until the very end. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS 2 - 1 VERONA Fabrizio Cacciatore (36') Carlos Tévez (40′) Fernando Llorente (45+3′) September 22, 2013 3:00 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Mauro Bergonzi Attendance: 38000 Juventus 2-1 Hellas Verona: The Old Lady Has A Bright Future Sep 22, 2013 Like many of World football’s truly giant clubs, Juventus are often cast as the hated enemy of a variety of teams. Meetings against some of these, such as Fiorentina and – most importantly – neighbours Torino, become deeply important rivalries. http://markting10.nl/ Encounters against them take on a significance that goes far beyond the three points at stake, and winning becomes almost a necessity. Others, such as the ‘derby’ against Inter, are manufactured by circumstances and hold less meaning than, well, a cardboard league title. Some fall into a third category however, one that writers are often reluctant to touch upon. Teams such as Hellas focus upon the Bianconero as their biggest game of the season, creating a fervour around the match that la vecchia Signora is then forced to match. MATCH ANALYSIS by Adam Digby Their supporters make their loathing of Turin’s finest clear, a feeling highlighted perfectly in John’s excellent preview. It was armed with that intense desire to topple the champions that the Gialloblu left Verona on Sunday, entering Juventus Stadium for the very first time. Antonio Conte kept his word as Marco Storari donned the gloves in place of Gigi Buffon, while the real news of the day came in attack. Fernando Llorente was given his first start alongside Carlos Tevez, meaning not so much patience was required. Angelo Ogbonna and Mauricio Isla also made the first XI, meaning the rotation discussed by the coach was firmly employed here. With Luca Toni – scorer of that historic first goal in Juve’s new home – struggling with injury, Coach Andrea Mandorlini was also forced to make changes. Domenico Maietta and Raphael Martinho were also absent, making the newly promoted side appear much weaker than they would want to be for such a fixture. The game began as expected, Juventus bossing possession as Hellas retreated to a deep position, happy to sit in a compact shape and protect their own box. It was a tactical choice made by many sides over the past two seasons and it sadly paid dividends once again. Having had two chances to score from speedy counterattacks, they bundled a goal home from a set-piece as Fabrizio Cacciatore put the visitors in front. Unlike during those previous campaigns, Conte is no longer forced to rely on the Nicklas Bendtner’s or Marco Borriello’s of this world. He now has genuine talent in attack and it took Tevez just seconds to prove that fact, smashing a rocket past Rafael in the Hellas goal. The goalkeeper had already saved one effort from the Argentinean – and thrown his chin in the way of the follow up – but had no chance as Tevez beat him from a tight angle. As if to reinforce the point that Juve’s attack is now vastly superior, Llorente then put the Bianconeri in front. As he neatly flicked Vidal’s cross into the back of the net, twitter went into meltdown as those who backed Conte not playing him broke out the I-told-you-so’s, and the bitter complainers said it proved he should’ve played all along. Comedy. Llorente is however, far more than just a lumbering target man and he showed it here, dropping deep to become involved in the buildup. Neat in possession, el Rey Leòn did everything Conte has demanded of every striker to pass through Vinovo during his tenure thus far. It was a clear display of his ability and a glimpse at the incredible potential of his partnership with Tevez. Juventus continued to dominate, outgunning the Gialloblu at an amazing rate of fourteen shots to one and enjoying almost 65% of possession. They may have failed to add to those two goals but this was a performance that was about far more than the scoreline. The narratives have been destroyed, the BS stories torn up. The Tevez-Llorente partnership is not the future of Juventus, it is here and now and the Old Lady was just in the kind of mood that meant no amount of faux-rivalry was going to stand in her way. Job done. LE PAGELLE by Adam Digby Marco Storari 6.5 – Given a chance as Conte rested Buffon, the former Sampdoria man was largely untested. Still Serie A’s best reserve ‘keeper by some distance. Andrea Barzagli 7.0 - A quiet game for the Italian as Hellas continued the trend of avoiding the right side of the Juventus defence. Wonder if he took the Verona front three out of his pocket yet? Leonardo Bonucci 7.0 - Superb assist to Tevez for the equaliser, he was rarely tested in defence and stepped out well to relieve the pressure in midfield. Very tidy performance. Angelo Ogbonna 6.5 - With Giorgio Chiellini struggling in recent weeks, it was good to see the Cassino native start in what should be his natural position. Had very little to do but, like Barzagli, did it very well. Mauricio Isla 7.0 - The Chilean wingback continues to prove he is almost fully recovered from his injury and deputised well for the rested Stephan Lichtsteiner. Arturo Vidal 7.0 - Permanently in top form these days, his understanding with compatriot Isla raised his game yet another notch. Just superb. Andrea Pirlo 6.0 - The Bearded Genius was the least effective of the midfield trio here. As Conte looks to rest key players it is Pirlo who is perhaps in greatest need, and a week off could do him no harm. ’66 Claudio Marchisio 6.5 - Came on for Pirlo to make his first appearance since the Super Cup win over Lazio. His defensive awareness has been sorely missed and his return comes with typically perfect timing. Paul Pogba 6.0 - Perhaps it was the presence of the recovering Marchisio but the youngster was guilty of trying too hard today. Far better when he keeps things simple, he over indulged himself, often taking too many touches and losing the ball. Kwadwo Asamoah 6.0 - At times overwhelmed on the left flank, the return of Marchisio is essential to him more than anyone else. Another poor showing compared to others, perhaps time Isla was given a chance in his place. Fernando Llorente 8.5 - Wait, he wasn’t sold to Tottenham or Barcelona yet? Well, while the press scramble for a new target for their nonsense, I can do no better than quote the excellent @juventus_fc_fan who tweeted “Combined well, looked dangerous, made some great passes, scored an important goal. Couldn’t ask for a better debut. Forza Llorente!” ’69 Sebastian Giovinco 6.0 - Now both he and Llorente played, I guess the ‘Caso Padoin’ stories will dominate the papers? Carlos Tevez 8.5 - Simply brilliant. From his stunning equaliser to those slaloming runs at the opposition defenders, everything about Tevez oozes quality. Perfect for Conte and this Juventus, his ability and work ethic echo many former Juventus greats. ’79 Mirko Vucinic 5.0 - His arrival allowed Llorente the ovation he deserved. Besides a yellow card for dissent that was his only real contribution. Antonio Conte 7.5 - Doesn’t hate Llorente or Isla, made some intelligent substitutions and generally got his tactics just about right. Perhaps he might, four trophies and an undefeated season later, actually know what he’s doing? Or maybe I’m whistling in the wind. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS 2 - 1 VERONA Fabrizio Cacciatore (36') Carlos Tévez (40′) Fernando Llorente (45+3′) September 22, 2013 3:00 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Mauro Bergonzi Attendance: 38000 Juventus 2 - Hellas Verona 1: Initial reaction and random observations Sep 22, 2013 The talk during the week — non-Llorente category, of course — was that the squad rotation would continue. To what extent Antonio Conte would go to shuffling the deck we didn't exactly know, but the reality was that it was going to be a different lineup than the one we saw n Denmark. http://markting10.nl/ We got our answer to the simple question and Conte kept his word because he's a good man. Simple analysis to the simple question: I'd say it worked out pretty well. Goals from Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente (!!) were the difference in a 2-1 win over Serie A newbies Hellas Verona on Sunday at Juventus Stadium. It was the first chance we got to see the 1-2 punch that Juve brought in during the summer transfer window we've been waiting all summer to see — well, unless you were at AT&T Park on the final day of July like yours truly — and it didn't disappoint at all. It was the perfect response to what was another wonderful episode of "Watch Juventus Not Defend a Set Piece" on the game's opening goal by Hellas Verona. Juventus were always going to dominate possession because of how many players Verona were putting behind the ball. It was just a matter of putting away the opportunities that came their way for Antonio Conte's side. While the finishing was far from perfect, there was no goalkeeping masterclass like there was against FC Copenhagen to drive us all up the wall. And the ability to get the 2-1 lead right before the half was the way to grab the momentum right by the neck was exactly what the doctor ordered. It was only fitting that Tevez and Llorente, two of Juventus' best players on the day, were the ones who got the goals. Conte: Tevez is an example to everyone, Llorente also did well today and there’s more to come from him. This goal will give him confidence. Yep. Random thoughts and observations •Let's talk Fernando Llorente. Why? Because after getting a goal in your first Juventus start and having it be the difference on the scoreboard, you deserve to be talked about. It was almost poetic justice that Llorente scored a goal after all the talk during the course of the past week. "Will he or won't he play?" "Well, why isn't he playing?" "Is he actually regretting his decision to come to Juve?" All that nonsense went right out the door the moment Llorente put his head on Arturo Vidal's cross and it found the back of the net. He obviously needs to still work himself into top game shape because of the circumstances we're all aware of, but this was something he can build off of, something that will definitely take a lot of pressure off his shoulders and get some confidence going. @llorentefer19: I normally take a bit of time to hit form and knew I had to work hard, having spent almost a year out of action. You were saying, Tuttosport? •Let's talk about Carlos Tevez. Why? Because he was awesome yet again. I've seen it said here and on the Twitter machine before, but it bears repeating: Tevez wasn't the best overall striker on the market this summer, but he certainly was the perfect one for Juventus and Antonio Conte's system. And that price looks more and more like a bargain with every game that passes. •The game Mauricio Isla had reminded me of his days at Udinese. He made his presence felt down the right flank and was nowhere close to, in a good kind of way, the player he was a year ago. You can tell he's much healthier and that the knee is feeling pretty good these days. That extra bit of pace is back. •Marco Storari stole a game check. •How good were Leonardo Bonucci and Andrea Barzagli today? Yeah, pretty darn good. Angelo Ogbonna was pretty solid, too — and that's definitely a good sign after his first couple of official appearances in a Juventus shirt looked a little shaky to say the least. •Not Mirko Vucinic's best games off the bench. It started with his first touch being a turnover and never improved. On a day where Llorente scores his first Juventus goal, Vucinic was about as useful as Marco Motta. •When was the last time, if any, Juventus absolutely dominated back-to-back matches with Andrea Pirlo on the field and doing absolutely nothing? You won't need a second hand to count the amount of times, I can tell you that much. •Kwadwo Asamoah's yellow card was a Mauro Bergonzi Special. Tell your family and friends. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS 2 - 1 VERONA Fabrizio Cacciatore (36') Carlos Tévez (40′) Fernando Llorente (45+3′) September 22, 2013 3:00 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Mauro Bergonzi Attendance: 38000 One half was enough, really Verona took a surprising lead in Turin, but Juventus were back in front before the start of the second half. The match could've ended then, as we really learned nothing from the second 45 minutes. Sep 22, 2013 It took awhile for things to get rolling in the first half. Juventus had the majority of the possession and a ridiculous amount of shots, but it took until almost the break for one to land in the back of the net. In fact, it took an opening goal from Verona to convince the visitors that they needed to simmer down and send their shots on target. http://markting10.nl/ Hellas scored in the 36th minute, catching Juventus napping. The corner kick was whipped into the area, Vangelis Moras got his head on it, knocking it on to Fabrizio Cacciatore, who, for some unfathomable reason, was lurking unmarked by the post. It took a simple tap to knock the ball past Marco Storari. Juve almost instantly responded, but a brilliant goalline clearance from Verona kept out Paul Pogba's shot. But the equalizer came almost immediately, through a lovely goal from Carlos Tévez. The forward latched on to a through ball from Leonardo Bonucci, took the ball away from goal, turned, and launched his shot into the top of the net. Rafael had no chance. The goalkeeper was still reeling from the goal when Tévez tried again. This time, the ball hit the inside of the post, ricocheted off, hit the other post, and fell into Rafael's arms. The Verona keeper curled into the fetal position, hugging the ball and whimpering. His relief was palpable, but wiped away just before the halftime whistle. The go-ahead goal came from Fernando Llorente, scoring his first in a bianconeri kit. The cross came in from Arturo Vidal, Llorente headed it on, and Juventus went into the break feeling pretty good about themselves. While Juventus continued to threaten throughout the second half, Verona did little to make things challenging for the Old Lady. It was as though the fight had gone out of the home side with Llorente's goal, and they were content to sit back and simply keep the scoreline respectable. Andrea Mandorlini tried to liven things up with the introduction of on-loan attacker Juan Iturbe, but the little guy failed to make a big impression. The might be a team tapped to impress in Europe, but Juventus failed to impress against Copenhagen midweek, and a lack of a clinical approach in the second half shows this team still has some kinks to iron out. But the bianconeri came away with all three points, so any questions will likely be put on hold. Juventus: Storari; Barzagli, Bonucci, Ogbonna; Isla, Vidal, Pirlo (Marchisio 66), Pogba, Asamoah; Tevez (Giovinco 80), Llorente (Vucinic 69) Hellas Verona: Rafael; Gonzalez, Moras, Bianchetti; Cacciatore, Romulo, Donati (Juanito 58), Hallfredsson (Donadel 77), Agostini (Iturbe 67); Jorginho; Cacia Goals: Cacciatore 36 (V), Tévez 40 (J), Llorente 45 (J) http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS 2 - 1 VERONA Fabrizio Cacciatore (36') Carlos Tévez (40′) Fernando Llorente (45+3′) September 22, 2013 3:00 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Mauro Bergonzi Attendance: 38000 Summer signings the difference for Bianconeri Juventus emerged 2-1 victors over Hellas Verona at the Juventus Stadium on Sunday afternoon in Serie A. Sep 22, 2013 The home side went down to a Fabrizio Cacciatore strike but summer arrivals Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente gave Antonio Conte’s men the lead just before the break. http://markting10.nl/ In the opening moments, Juve went for it, throwing men forward and Tevez had their first chance, testing Rafael from range, but the Brazilian was equal to it. Arturo Vidal then got in on the act as his header was caught from under the crossbar by the Verona goalkeeper, before he and Tevez combined with a one-two but again Rafael was alert to the danger. However, against the run of play Verona took the lead. Cacciatore tapped in from close range at the back post after a corner was headed on by Moras. But the lead didn’t last long as a Leonardo Bonucci through ball beat the offside trap allowing Tevez to rifle the ball past Rafael. Then, just moments later a Tevez shot smacked the post before rolling across the goal line and hit the other upright before landing in Rafael’s arms, much to the goalkeeper’s relief. On the stroke of half time, Llorente got his first for his new club, heading home a Vidal cross. The second period started in the same manner at the first, with Juve dominating the match and pinning the Mastini into their own half, Tevez once more the instigator for the home side. Paul Pogba almost added to the Bianconeri’s lead with a fantastic strike from the edge of the area, but it struck the crossbar with Rafael rooted to the spot. As the second period wore on Juve were content to hang onto the ball, as Verona looked out of ideas on the rare occasions they did receive the ball. Claudio Marchisio then thought he had a goal on his return from injury, but the referee blew for a foul as the corner was floated in. Then moments later Mauricio Isla should have made it three. The Chilean ran onto a ball over the top, but his half-volley could only find the side netting. Poor finishing continued to dog Juve with Mirko Vucinic twisting and turning his way through a crowd of Verona defenders, but was unable to apply the finish, then Pogba once more with a long range effort straight at Rafael. Juve closed the game out and in the end should have won by more than a single goal. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS 2 - 1 VERONA Fabrizio Cacciatore (36') Carlos Tévez (40′) Fernando Llorente (45+3′) September 22, 2013 3:00 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Mauro Bergonzi Attendance: 38000 Wk4: Llorente revives Juve Fernando Llorente scored his debut Juventus goal to complete their comeback, beating Hellas Verona 2-1. Sep 22, 2013 The Bianconeri had to get back on track after two consecutive 1-1 draws against Inter and FC Copenhagen. Antonio Conte rotated his squad, resting Gigi Buffon, Giorgio Chiellini and Mirko Vucinic in favour of Marco Storari, Angelo Ogbonna and Fernando Llorente, getting his first start in a Juventus jersey. Claudio Marchisio was on the bench after a knee injury during the Italian Super Cup in August, though Simone Pepe and Martin Caceres missed out. Verona welcomed back Luca Toni on to the bench from an ankle problem, though Domenico Maietta and Raphael Martinho were injured. http://markting10.nl/ Juve poured forward, but Verona had a good chance when Daniele Cacia latched on to a long ball and Andrea Barzagli performed a crucial block. Rafael had his palms stung by a fierce Carlos Tevez strike and in trying to stop Llorente get the rebound he ended up with a cut under his chin. Arturo Vidal’s header was plucked out from under the bar and when Verona went on the counter-attack Juve were fortunate Jorginho let the ball run through, thinking there was a teammate behind him. The Bianconeri also threatened as Tevez played a neat one-two with Vidal before Rafael smothered at his feet. It was incredibly Verona who took the lead at the Juventus Stadium. A corner was nodded down by Moras to find Fabrizio Cacciatore totally unmarked at the base of the back post to tap in. Juventus thought they had equalised three minutes later, but an acrobatic Cacia goalline clearance kept out Paul Pogba. It was only a warning, as moments afterwards Tevez sprung the offside trap on a Leo Bonucci through ball and smashed his finish across Rafael in off the far post. Tevez could not believe he hadn’t scored another in first half stoppages. His shot flew past Rafael to hit the upright, roll all the way along the line, bounce off the other post and into the goalkeeper’s grateful arms. Instead, it was Llorente who broke his duck in all competition for Juventus. The Spaniard got round his marker Moras to get the header on Vidal’s cross from 10 yards. It was still wide open, as Bonucci’s lunging tackle was well-timed but risky as Jorginho was ready to pull the trigger. Rafael smothered a Pogba attempt and then the goalkeeper flew to palm away a trademark Andrea Pirlo free kick. Pogba went even closer, as his curling effort from distance left Rafael rooted to the spot, but landed on the crossbar. There was a standing ovation as Claudio Marchisio made his first appearance in a month. Sebastian Giovinco also entered and wanted a penalty when he collided with Rafael, but the referee suggested they were both going for the ball. Verona almost snatched a shock equaliser in stoppages, but Barzagli charged down Jorginho’s attempt with the top of his shoulder. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JUVENTUS: Storari; Barzagli, Bonucci, Ogbonna; Isla, Vidal, Pirlo (Marchisio 66), Pogba, Asamoah; Tevez (Giovinco 79), Llorente (Vucinic 69) VERONA: Rafael; Gonzalez, Moras, Bianchetti; Cacciatore, Romulo, Donati (Gomez Taleb 58), Hallfredsson (Donadel 77), Agostini (Iturbe 67); Jorginho; Cacia Ref: Bergonzi http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

JUVENTUS 2 - 1 VERONA Fabrizio Cacciatore (36') Carlos Tévez (40′) Fernando Llorente (45+3′) September 22, 2013 3:00 PM Juventus Stadium — Turin Referee: Mauro Bergonzi Attendance: 38000 Llorente fires Bianconeri to victory The Spain striker silenced the critics with his match-winning strike after Carlos Tevez had cancelled out Fabrizio Cacciatore's opener. Sep 22, 2013 Fernando Llorente scored on his first start for Juventus as a 2-1 victory over Hellas Verona got them back to winnings ways in Serie A. http://markting10.nl/ Despite dominating the early exchanges, the hosts fell behind in the 36th minute as Fabrizio Cacciatore knocked home from close range, but that goal served as a catalyst for the champions to launch a comeback. Carlos Tevez, who had squandered an earlier chance, equalised in style five minutes before the break and then Llorente nodded in right at the end of the first period. That proved to be enough to give Juve the points after draws against Inter and Copenhagen in the last week. Following their Champions League exploits in Denmark on Tuesday, coach Antonio Conte shook things up by making five changes. Marco Storari, Andrea Barzagli, Mauricio Isla, Kwadwo Asamoah and Llorente all came into the starting XI, replacing Gianluigi Buffon, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Giorgio Chiellini, Federico Peluso and Fabio Quagliarella. Verona came into the game off the back of a 2-0 victory over Sassuolo, with three changes from that side as Domenico Maietta, Raphael Martinho and Juan Ignacio Gomez had their respective places taken by Alejandro Gonzalez, Matteo Bianchetti and Massimo Donati. Juventus seized control early on against the Serie A new boys, but they struggled to create clear-cut chances during the first half hour. Tevez wasted a good chance 30 minutes in, and it was not long before Hellas made them pay for their profligacy as they capitalised from a corner when Cacciatore tapped in from close range. Tevez made amends before the break, however. Leonardo Bonucci played an impressive throughball into the right side of the area, and the Argentinian fired a shot past Rafael into the far corner. He almost added another too when he hit the post from distance, but Conte’s side did go into the break ahead as Llorente headed in Arturo Vidal’s cross from the right on the stroke of half-time. The visitors started the second half positively and Jorginho had a chance to equalise, only for the excellent Bonucci to poke the ball away with a last-ditch tackle. Juventus did not test Rafael again until just before the hour mark when Paul Pogba twice tried his luck from distance, and although the goalkeeper almost made a mess of both efforts, he was not beaten. Frenchman Pogba seemed determined to score and he once again went for goal from outside of the area in the 66th minute, but his curling effort flew just over the crossbar. Conte's side continued to press for late goals, but Verona remained solid at the back - although a late comeback never appeared likely. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
