  1. FIORENTINA 4 - 2 JUVENTUS Carlos Tévez (PG - 37') Paul Pogba (40′) Giuseppe Rossi (PG - 66′) Giuseppe Rossi (76') Joaquín (78') Giuseppe Rossi (81') October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Attendance:‬ 26000‎ Initial reaction and random observations Oct 20, 2013 It started with a thoroughly deserved two-goal lead in the first half of an important game on the road. The ball started rolling with the inability to stretch a 2-0 halftime lead into anything more than that. It continued when Giuseppe Rossi converted from the penalty spot to cut Juventus' lead in half. And then, in what seemed like in a blink of an eye, it turned into an absolute shit show. http://markting10.nl/ A game that was looking so good turned into something horror movies are based off of in a 15-minute span. No, really. Fiorentina scored all four of their goals between the 65th and 80th minutes. Juventus not only got hit on the counter by Fiorentina, they got hit in the face like in a heavyweight fight and had nothing to answer it. They were shocked, and it was their own doing. We can credit the effort Fiorentina all we want, but this isn't about that. This is about what's wrong with Juventus, what looked to be fixed for 60-plus minutes and then suddenly decided to suck us into some kind of sick joke. They didn't put Fiorentina away. They let them hang around and Fiorentina took full advantage of it. For whatever reason, they went from essentially killing off Fiorentina in the first half to getting killed themselves in the span of 15 or 20 minutes. http://markting10.nl/ If Juventus score a third on one of their very good chances early in the second half, the game could very well have beenover and done with. they're heading back to Turin riding high with three points in their pockets and we're singing their praises rather than throwing things through the window. Oh what could have been. I just don't get it. The Juventus defense looked so good for 60-plus minutes. It was like they were on cruise control. The stupid mistakes that had haunted Juve for so many games before the international break were gone. Everything was looking great. Viola fans were essentially conceding the game. http://markting10.nl/ Then all that happened. Juventus were up 2-0 in the 65th minute. I don't know what else to say. http://markting10.nl/ Random thoughts and observations •Remember when Juventus were up 2-0 and the defense was playing great? •When your team goes down two goals, the answer to all your problems is to throw Marco Motta onto the field. That should do it, right? Amazing, absolutely amazing. •Leonardo Bonucci screwed up on the game-tying goal, sure, but so did Gigi Buffon. Not exactly a straight shot right at him, but how many times do we see him save that, 99 out of 100? Turns out the one time he didn't, it opened the floodgates. http://markting10.nl/ •Remember when I said Juventus had to contain Rossi to be successful? Yeah, about that... •I've already seen a lot of "This is the wakeup call Juventus needs" posts on this here internet. Do I think it can help? Sure, I'm an optimistic guy. But we also thought the international break would help Antonio Conte figure out some things and look how that turned out. The best thing to happen is that there's a game in three days on one of the biggest stages there is. Flush it and get ready for Real Madrid. And stop making stupid defensive mistakes. That'd be nice. http://markting10.nl/ •Fernando Llorente had a pretty solid game until everything went to hell. There's something positive. •Before we write off the entire season, let's remember one thing: It's Oct. 20 and Juve still have 30 games left in Serie A. There's a pretty favorable schedule coming post-Real Madrid. Not sayin', but I guess I'm just sayin'. •Juventus were up 2-0 in the 65th minute. I still don't get it. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  2. FIORENTINA 4 - 2 JUVENTUS Carlos Tévez (PG - 37') Paul Pogba (40′) Giuseppe Rossi (PG - 66′) Giuseppe Rossi (76') Joaquín (78') Giuseppe Rossi (81') October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Attendance:‬ 26000‎ Rossi hat-trick completes incredible Viola comeback Oct 20, 2013 Fiorentina scored four unanswered goals as they defeated Juventus 4-2 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Serie A action on Sunday afternoon. http://markting10.nl/ Carlos Tevez converted via a penalty, while Paul Pogba also got on the score sheet. Giuseppe Rossi earned a hat-trick, while Joaquin added another to help the hosts come back from 2-0 down at halftime to claim all three points. The Viola came close with their first real opportunity of the game, with Facundo Roncaglia just missing the net with a long range shot via a David Pizarro assist. Despite the injury worries for Rossi, it was Massimo Ambrosini who had to exit early, with Matias Fernandez replacing the experienced midfielder. http://markting10.nl/ Finally a breakthrough arrived in the 37th minute. Gonzalo Rodriguez was adjudged to have brought down Tevez in the box, resulting in a penalty for the Bianconeri. The Argentine converted calmly from the spot, powering it past Neto in the centre of the net. Just four minutes later, Juve doubled their lead. On a long ball, Juan Cuadrado decided to intercept the play by making a sliding tackle. At the same time, Neto decided to come off his line. The Colombian sliced it, leaving Pogba with an empty goal to shoot at and allowing the Bianconeri to double their lead. Off the restart, Juventus had a solid chance to make it 3-0 through Claudio Marchisio. He was in on goal, but Neto came out to close down the angle of the shot. http://markting10.nl/ The Viola goalkeeper continued to get bombarded at the start of the second half. Andrea Pirlo’s free kick tested the Brazilian, but he was able to parry the ball over the bar. The hosts eventually caught a break when Kwadwo Asamoah hauled down Fernandez in the 66th minute, giving Fiorentina a penalty and a chance to get back into the game. Rossi finished, cutting the lead in half. Rossi earned his second just moments later with a shot outside the box. Buffon couldn’t locate it, and it slipped past him to make it 2-2 and send the home fans into a frenzy. http://markting10.nl/ Suddenly, it was 3-2 only minutes later after Joaquin was picked out by Borja Valero all alone on the right side of the box. The substitute slotted it past the goalkeeper and onlooking defenders to give Fiorentina an unimaginable lead. Then, the result was confirmed in the 81st minute when Rossi completed his hat-trick, scoring his eighth goal in as many matches off a counter attack. Cuadrado picked out the Italian, who then finished with composure past Buffon to make it for 4-2 for the Gigliati. Fiorentina managed to hold on to win their first match against the Old Lady at home in 15 years and send Juve crashing to their first defeat of the season. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  3. FIORENTINA 4 - 2 JUVENTUS Carlos Tévez (PG - 37') Paul Pogba (40′) Giuseppe Rossi (PG - 66′) Giuseppe Rossi (76') Joaquín (78') Giuseppe Rossi (81') October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Attendance:‬ 26000‎ Incredible Viola comeback sinks Juve Fiorentina completed an incredible comeback from 2-0 down to win 4-2 in 15 minutes with Giuseppe Rossi’s hat-trick. Oct 20, 2013 This has always been a fiery grudge match that has occasionally spilled out on to the transfer market. Mario Gomez, Ante Rebic and Josip Ilicic missed out for the hosts, while Mirko Vucinic, Fabio Quagliarella and Stephan Lichtsteiner didn’t make the trip. Arturo Vidal was benched as punishment for turning up late from international duty. http://markting10.nl/ Juve were unbeaten in Florence for the last 15 years, managing seven draws and four victories since Gabriel Batistuta sealed a 1-0 in December 1998. There was a spectacular choreography in the stands before kick-off as the Stadio Franchi turned purple. It was a predictably tense opening, as Carlos Tevez was booked before aiming a weak effort straight at Neto, then Gigi Buffon flapped a dangerous cross off the head of Stefan Savic. Fiorentina were forced into a change due to Massimo Ambrosini’s injury, making way for Mati Fernandez. http://markting10.nl/ Buffon smothered an audacious Facundo Roncaglia snapshot and Neto got down quickly to turn a Claudio Marchisio daisy-cutter round the base of the near post. The referee pointed to the spot for a penalty, as Tevez went down under a pointless Gonzalo Rodriguez challenge. The striker got back up to powerfully convert the penalty and give Juventus the lead. He also celebrated with the ‘machine gun’ move Batistuta used to do here. The Bianconeri doubled their advantage moments later, as Cuadrado’s wayward attempt to intercept Paul Pogba’s through ball to Tevez just ended up giving the Frenchman a tap-in to an empty net. Pogba also adopted the Batistuta celebration. http://markting10.nl/ Neto tipped an Andrea Pirlo free kick out from under the bar and also denied Marchisio after the restart. Fiorentina were given a road back into the game when Kwadwo Asamoah nudged Mati Fernandez and the Viola man went down fairly easily. Giuseppe Rossi converted the penalty despite Buffon guessing the right corner. That goal got their tails up and Fiorentina completed their comeback with another Rossi strike, this time he turned and smashed a chest-high angled drive across Buffon from the edge of the box. http://markting10.nl/ The Viola were fired up and turned the game around completely with a third goal in 12 minutes! It was a rapid counter-attack and Borja Valero showed great vision to find Joaquin unmarked in the box. Juventus did not learn the lesson, as they conceded a fourth from another counter-attack. This time Cuadrado used his pace to stun the defence and rolled across for Rossi to side-foot from the edge of the box, completing his hat-trick. http://markting10.nl/ FIORENTINA: Neto; Roncaglia, Gonzalo, Savic; Pasqual, Ambrosini (Fernandez 23), Pizarro, Aquilani (Joaquin 56); Borja Valero, Cuadrado; Rossi (Matos 85) JUVENTUS: Buffon; Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Padoin (Motta 83), Pogba, Pirlo, Marchisio (Vidal 77), Asamoah (Giovinco 79); Llorente, Tevez Ref: Rizzoli http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  4. FIORENTINA 4 - 2 JUVENTUS Carlos Tévez (PG - 37') Paul Pogba (40′) Giuseppe Rossi (PG - 66′) Giuseppe Rossi (76') Joaquín (78') Giuseppe Rossi (81') October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Attendance:‬ 26000‎ Rossi nets hat-trick to guide hosts to victory The former Villarreal striker put in a man of the match performance to help the Viola to an impressive comeback win. Oct 20, 2013 Fiorentina ended their 15-year wait for a Serie A home win against Juventus on Sunday as a Giuseppe Rossi hat-trick saw them triumph 4-2. Antonio Contes side took a 2-0 lead into the break thanks to Carlos Tevez and Paul Pogba but an incredible 15-minute spell saw Fiorentina turn the match on its head as Rossi took centre-stage to inspire the hosts' comeback. http://markting10.nl/ The Italian pulled one back from the penalty spot before equalising with a powerful finish. Joaquin gave Fiorentina the lead in the final 15 minutes and Rossi completed his hat-trick late on after Juan Cuadrado's clever pass. Vincenzo Montella's side came into the fixture having only picked up two points from their last three league matches, but he felt only one change was necessary as Facundo Roncaglia replaced Nenad Tomovic, while Fernando Llorente and Pogba replaced Fabio Quagliarella and Arturo Vidal for Juventus, the latter dropped after returning late from international duty. http://markting10.nl/ Tevez and Llorente went close in a quiet opening half hour, the former heading wide while the Spaniard was denied by a Gonzalo Rodriguez intervention. The Argentine defender would be at fault just a few minutes later, however. Tevez controlled and turned just inside the area, but was needlessly tripped by Rodriguez, allowing the former Manchester City man the chance from 12 yards, which he confidently buried. The visitors added a quick-fire second in the 40th minute. Cuadrado burst back into the area to clear the ball, but his attempt while sliding flew up into the air rather than away and gifted Pogba an easy finish from close range. http://markting10.nl/ Juventus went close to opening up a three-goal lead soon after the break as Claudio Marchisio poked the ball past Roncaglia and charged into the area, but Neto blocked the midfielders chipped effort. The Brazilian goalkeeper was becoming increasingly busy and was forced into two more saves before the hour mark to deny Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Pirlo. The second half had been dominated by the visitors, but after Kwadwo Asamoah bundled Matias Fernandez to the ground inside the area, Rossi stroked home the resulting penalty with 24 minutes left. http://markting10.nl/ Italy striker Rossi pulled Fiorentina level in the 76th minute as he held off his marker and then fired across Gianluigi Buffon, into the bottom far corner, as Juve began to rue their wasted chances. Two minutes later, Montella's side completed the turnaround and took the lead. Second-half substitute Joaquin found space in the right side of the area and calmly guided the ball past Buffon to seal a memorable comeback. http://markting10.nl/ What looked like being another defeat to the Turin giants turned into an emphatic victory as Rossi completed his hat-trick with nine minutes to go as he latched on to Cuadrados pass and fired low past the helpless Buffon, wrapping up the three points. Defeat leaves Juventus five points off Roma at the top of Serie A as they languish in third. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  5. Yaya Toure wants Balotelli or Tevez reunion in Champions League The Manchester City midfielder describes the Italian as "like a brother" and the Argentine as "my favourite striker", and insists he would welcome both back to the Etihad Stadium. Oct 20, 2013 Yaya Toure hopes Manchester City draw Juventus or AC Milan in the Champions League - so he can welcome Mario Balotelli or Carlos Tevez back to Manchester. http://markting10.nl/ City have three points from their first two matches in Europe's premier club competition after beating Viktoria Plzen and losing to Bayern Munich as they bid to reach the knockout stages for the first time. The next round could yield a meeting with one of Serie A's giants, and Toure insists he would relish seeing either of his former team-mates again. "I hope there will be the opportunity for Mario and Carlos to return to Manchester in the Champions League," he told reporters. "I'm waiting for them here. When we lost them I felt bad. http://markting10.nl/ "Mario is not just a friend, he is like a brother. I like him a lot and I was very unhappy when he went to Milan. "The paparazzi followed him everywhere and never left him in peace. "It was difficult for him. I tried to counsel him and help him. http://markting10.nl/ "Carlos is superb, my favourite striker. I adore him. "He is one who works hard, he is a great professional and friend. With him Juve will do very well."
  6. The Sweeper: Manchester City monitoring Pogba latest Mino Raiola is chasing a bumper deal for the Frenchman. Oct 20, 2013 Manchester City are keeping serious tabs on former Manchester United starlet Paul Pogba at Juventus. http://markting10.nl/ The Frenchman's agent, Mino Raiola, is pushing the Italians for a significant new deal to reflect his growing stature at the club, with only two years left on his present package worth £900,000-a-year. Sources close to the Italian club have indicated that they are confident of tying Pogba down, with the promise of making him the club's central midfield fulcrum for the long-term future. Andrea Pirlo, those close to the club say, is set to be released at the end of the season. http://markting10.nl/ However, City are keeping a close eye on the 20-year-old's situation, with the youngster's hero, Patrick Vieira, having scouted him heavily when he was at Old Trafford. Pogba had cold feet about making a direct switch to City at the time due to his time spent in the red half of the City. City remain close to Raiola following their dealings with the agent during Mario Balotelli's City career, and are keen to be at the front of the queue should his negotiations with the Turin outfit break down.
  7. FIORENTINA - JUVENTUS October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium — Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Line-ups: Fiorentina-Juventus Oct 20, 2013 The enticing grudge match Fiorentina-Juventus has Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente taking on Giuseppe Rossi and Juan Cuadrado. http://markting10.nl/ The bitter rivalry between these clubs goes back a long way and has occasionally even spilled out on to the transfer market. The Viola will be particularly fired up to get a victory, though injuries rule out Mario Gomez, Ante Rebic and Josip Ilicic. Rossi leads the way with support from Cuadrado and Borja Valero, while David Pizarro has shaken off a knock to start with ex-Juventus midfielder Alberto Aquilani. http://markting10.nl/ Juventus have different problems to contend with, as they are without Mirko Vucinic, Fabio Quagliarella, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Simone Pepe. Arturo Vidal is left on the bench as punishment after he missed his flight back from Chile on international duty, returning to Turin only late Friday night. http://markting10.nl/ Antonio Conte also has to consider the upcoming Champions League clash with Real Madrid on Wednesday evening. Ilicic and Rebic have not recovered from their injury problems, but Juan Cuadrado, David Pizarro and Giuseppe Rossi shook off knocks. http://markting10.nl/ Fiorentina squad for Juventus: Alonso, Ambrosini, Aquilani, Borja Valero, Bakic, Compper, Cuadrado, Fernandez, Iakovenko, Joaquin, Lupatelli, Munua, Neto, Pasqual, Pizarro, Rodriguez, Roncaglia, Rossi, Matos Ryder, Savic, Tomovic, Vargas, Vecino, Wolski http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111

FIORENTINA - JUVENTUS October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium — Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Vidal makes Florence trip Oct 19, 2013 Arturo Vidal is in the Juventus squad against Fiorentina, but Mirko Vucinic and Fabio Quagliarella miss out. http://markting10.nl/ There were rumours the Chilean midfielder could be dropped as punishment after he missed his flight and returned from international duty only last night. Vidal is making the trip to Florence, though it remains to be seen whether he will start. http://markting10.nl/ Stephan Lichtsteiner, Vucinic and Quagliarella are out of action after picking up injuries, though Martin Caceres returns. 11. FIORENTINA - JUVENTUS October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium — Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Montella: 'Mental strength is key' Oct 19, 2013 Vincenzo Montella knows the rivalry between Fiorentina and Juventus, so tomorrow’s game is “about mental strength.” http://markting10.nl/ “I realise this is an important match for the city, but tomorrow it is above all important for the table,” said Montella in his Press conference. “Juve are a fantastic squad, so aside from the result we need the mental strength to face them on a par. This would mean we have grown. “Carlos Tevez is a strong player and has something more than the others. I had no doubts he’d do so well straight away. Do they have an injury crisis in attack? It’s not as if Tevez, Sebastian Giovinco and Fernando Llorente are a bad bunch...” http://markting10.nl/ The Coach was asked whether he has any special marking plans to stop Andrea Pirlo in midfield. “It’s true that Juventus are predictable and move through the same channels, but unfortunately they do it very well and quickly, so it’s not easy to limit them. They have many options at their disposal. You can see the work of their Coach. http://markting10.nl/ “In order to beat Juve you have to win all the individual battles and take them on with chests puffed out. I have to concentrate on the game and not be swayed by the emotions in the city, even though I know what it means to the fans. They keep stopping me in the street and saying: ‘Do well tomorrow!’ “The League tells us the winners concede fewest goals. Fiorentina were constructed to play beautiful football, not to clam up at the back. Therefore when we try to be defensive, we suffer. Perhaps this Fiorentina wasn’t built to win, but it was built to entertain and have fun with football.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  12. FIORENTINA - JUVENTUS October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium — Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Conte: 'Juve focus on Fiorentina' Oct 19, 2013 Antonio Conte will “punish” Arturo Vidal, is pleased Roma are so competitive and has Juventus focused only on Fiorentina. http://markting10.nl/ Vidal could well be left behind, as he only arrived in Turin late last night after missing his flight home from Chile. “I haven’t spoken to Vidal yet, but I need to understand why he was so late. He wasn’t at training yesterday either,” said Conte in his Press conference. “Will he be punished? The rules are the same for everyone.” http://markting10.nl/ When asked about the upcoming Champions League game with Real Madrid, the Coach gave Spanish journalists short shrift. “Real Madrid do not interest me. I don’t wish to be rude, but right now the only thing in our heads is Fiorentina. “The Viola are a great team with a wonderful project in place. This side was built to improve upon last season’s fourth place finish, so they are not a surprise. Anyone who faces them is on the alert. http://markting10.nl/ “If we want to do something extraordinary this year, then we’ll have to struggle to get it. If we are aware of that fact, then we can do it.” Roma are running away at the top of the table with eight wins out of eight, beating Napoli 2-0 last night. “I was prophetic over the summer when I said Roma would be contenders. It’s good that there is competition, as it probably helps some people realise that nothing can be taken for granted. “Roma-Napoli was a match between two candidates for the Scudetto. They will be in the race right to the end.” http://markting10.nl/ Fabio Quagliarella is out for three weeks with a thigh strain, so will this give Fernando Llorente more playing time? “Llorente is improving. I hope to bring Fernando and the rest of the team to a great level, then he could earn a recall for Spain too. “We have an attacking strategy, seeing as we often go forward with five or six men. This gives us many options up front. It might also leave us exposed at the back sometimes, but we are working to tighten that up.” http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  13. FIORENTINA - JUVENTUS October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium — Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Fiorentina-Juventus Preview: Bianconeri hope to take advantage of Napoli slip-up Antonio Conte's men watched the Partenopei suffer a 2-0 defeat against Roma on Friday and will be targeting three points against an unsettled Viola. Oct 19, 2013 Juventus can move into second place in Serie A when they face Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday. Roma continued their 100 per cent start to the season with a 2-0 win over Napoli on Friday, meaning a win for Antonio Conte's men will move them three points clear of Rafa Benitez's side. http://markting10.nl/ Juve have dropped points only once in the league this season, a 1-1 draw with Inter in September, and are currently on a four-game winning streak domestically. Conte's men will fancy their chances of returning to Turin with three points, thanks to Fiorentina's mixed recent form and Juve's impressive record in Florence. Vincenzo Montella's side have not won in their last three Serie A games and failed to beat Juventus in their last 10 competitive attempts. http://markting10.nl/ Fiorentina have failed to score against Juventus in their previous three clashes although, in the same fixture last season, Juve were limited to just two shots on target - the fewest in a single game during Conte's reign. They last took three points against the Turin side in March 2008 but Fiorentina forward Giuseppe Rossi, who has six goals in all competitions this season, is intent on ending that run on Sunday. Rossi returned to the Italy squad for the final World Cup qualifiers, making his first international outing since October 2011, but is focused solely on his club football, and not a spot at Brazil 2014. http://markting10.nl/ "We are coming off two horrible home draws against Cagliari and Parma," he told the giornalaccio rosa dello Sport. "Now I'm thinking of a goal against Juventus because I live in the present and not the future. Don't ask me about the Maracana, the World Cup or the Champions League. "All I want to do right now is try to beat Juventus. If you are able to limit the influence of Andrea Pirlo then you have a nice advantage." http://markting10.nl/ Rossi and defender Gonzalo Rodriguez have each scored two goals in Fiorentina's last five outings and Montella will need continued contributions from across the pitch due to the ongoing absence of Mario Gomez. The Germany international scored twice in three Serie A appearances before suffering knee ligament damage against Cagliari in September, which is expected to keep him sidelined for another three weeks. Gomez has challenged his team-mates to step up for the occasion and prove they can compete with the best Serie A has to offer. http://markting10.nl/ "Sunday's match against Juventus is very important for our team and our supporters," he said. "The whole city is talking about this match. "We have to play as we're able to play and prove our personality." While Gomez is ruled out for the hosts, Juventus will be without Fabio Quagliarella due to an adductor injury. http://markting10.nl/ Head to Head Serie A ‎-‎ Feb 9, 2013 - Juventus 2 - 0 Fiorentina Serie A ‎- Sep 25, 2012 - Fiorentina 0 - 0 Juventus Serie A ‎-‎ Mar 17, 2012 - Fiorentina 0 - 5 Juventus Serie A ‎- Oct 25, 2011 - Juventus 2 - 1 Fiorentina Serie A ‎-‎ Apr 17, 2011 - Fiorentina 0 - 0 Juventus Last Five Matches FIORENTINA Oct 6, 2013 - Lazio 0 - 0 Fiorentina - Serie A Oct 3, 2013 - Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk 1 - 2 Fiorentina - EL Sep 30, 2013 - Fiorentina 2 - 2 Parma - Serie A Sep 26, 2013 - FC Internazionale 2 - 1 Fiorentina - Serie A Sep 22, 2013 - Atalanta 0 - 2 Fiorentina - Serie A JUVENTUS Oct 6, 2013 - Juventus 3 - 2 AC Milan - Serie A Oct 2, 2013 - Juventus 2 - 2 Galatasaray - UCL Sep 29, 2013 - Torino 0 - 1 Juventus - Serie A Sep 25, 2013 - Chievo 1 - 2 Juventus - Serie A Sep 22, 2013 - Juventus 2 - 1 Hellas Verona - Serie A http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  14. FIORENTINA - JUVENTUS October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium — Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Conte wants Vidal talks The Chilean could face punishment after returning late from international duty this week, while the Bianconeri boss also warned his side to be "alert" against Fiorentina. Oct 19, 2013 Juventus boss Antonio Conte has hinted Arturo Vidal could face punishment after he arrived back late from international duty. The Chilean did not return to Turin until late on Friday after missing his flight following his country's 2-1 victory over Ecuador that sealed their place in next year's World Cup finals. http://markting10.nl/ Vidal was subsequently unable to train on Friday ahead of the crucial clash with Fiorentina on Sunday, much to the frustration of Conte. "I haven't spoken to Vidal yet," he told a press conference. "I need to understand why he was so late. "He wasn't at training yesterday either. http://markting10.nl/ "Will he be punished? The rules are the same for everyone." Juventus' trip to Florence comes just days prior to a crucial Champions League clash with Real Madrid, but Conte made it clear he is not distracted by the visit to Santiago Bernabeu next Wednesday. "Real Madrid do not interest me. I don't wish to be rude, but right now the only thing in our heads is Fiorentina," he said. http://markting10.nl/ "The Viola are a great team with a wonderful project in place. This side was built to improve upon last season’s fourth-place finish, so they are not a surprise. "Anyone who faces them is on the alert. "If we want to do something extraordinary this year, then we'll have to fight to get it. If we are aware of that fact, then we can do it." http://markting10.nl/ Roma moved five points clear of Juve with a 2-0 win over Napoli on Friday, and Conte is under no illusions as to the threat posed by Rudi Garcia's side in the title race. "Roma-Napoli was a match between two candidates for the Scudetto," added the 44-year-old. FIORENTINA - JUVENTUS October 20, 2013 3:00 PM Artemio Franchi Stadium — Florence Referee: Nicola Rizzoli Fiorentina-Juventus Betting Preview: Expect both sides to score at the Artemio Franchi La Viola have been waiting for 15 years to secure a victory over their bitter rivals, but Al Hain-Cole expects them to at least find the net in a high-scoring encounter. Oct 19, 2013 Fiorentina will be looking to get back to winning ways when they welcome bitter rivals Juventus to the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday. http://markting10.nl/ La Viola have picked up just two points from the last available nine in Serie A and are slight 27/20 (2.35) outsiders with BetVictor to emerge victorious against the champions. Antonio Conte's men are undefeated so far this season and are available at 6/5 (2.20) to pick up a fifth-consecutive win in Tuscany. Having drawn each of their last two home games, the hosts are on offer at 23/10 (3.30) to settle for a point once again this time out. http://markting10.nl/ The home crowd have waited 15 years since their side last overcame their hated opponents at the Artemio Franchi but will be hard-pressed to end that run seeing as the visitors have only lost three of their last 38 league fixtures on the road. However, with just two home defeats in their last 25, Vincenzo Montella's men are a force to be reckoned with in their own back yard and may take some optimism from the sloppiness that seems to have crept into la Vecchia Signora's usually impenetrable defence recently. http://markting10.nl/ Having conceded four goals in their last two matches in all competitions, Conte's outfit have now kept just one clean sheet in their last eight games and will surely come under threat against last season's second top scorers, who have hit the back of the net in 40 of their last 45 league fixtures. A bet on both teams to score would have paid out in 13 of Fiorentina's last 17 Serie A matches on home soil and seven of Juventus' last eight matches in all competitions, so looks to be where the smart money lies when they come face to face, at generous 9/10 (1.90) odds. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111
  16. Ancelotti's toughest week: Malaga, Juventus & Barcelona to test the coach's credentials at Real Madrid The Italian has admitted his side are playing poorly, but must now find the formula in a tricky seven-day spell which culminates in the Clasico at Camp Nou next Saturday. Oct 19, 2013 COMMENT By Ben Hayward | Spanish Football Writer It was a brutal assessment. In a stark interview with Corriere della Sera this week, Carlo Ancelotti revealed his discontent at the way his Madrid side have been performing so far this season. "We can't play any worse," he admitted. But on Friday, in front of the Madrid media, the discourse was somewhat more positive: "We have to play better..." http://markting10.nl/ They do. Although Real's record of six wins out of eight and one draw in La Liga so far this season is respectable by the standards of most teams, some of those results have hidden a multitude of sins in some dismal displays and the capital club already find themselves five points behind both Barcelona and Atletico in the title race. And now, less than four months into his tenure at the Santiago Bernabeu, Ancelotti faces his toughest test to date: Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday and then Barca in the Clasico at Camp Nou in La Liga next weekend. http://markting10.nl/ Before that, however, Malaga visit the Bernabeu and Ancelotti's men must win to remain in touch with their two main rivals in La Liga. A meeting with Ancelotti's former club follows as the Italian champions turn up in the Spanish capital on Wednesday. "Juventus are very motivated and very well-organised, with quality players," Ancelotti told Uefa this week - although Madrid will nevertheless be expected to defeat the Bianconeri on home soil in what is the first of two key clashes with Antonio Conte's men in the Champions League. And then comes the Clasico at Camp Nou next Saturday. Ancelotti's predecessor, Jose Mourinho, lost his first fixture against the Catalans by five goals to nil in November 2010. Already under pressure, Ancelotti can ill afford a repeat of such a scoreline and, worse still, a loss would mean an eight-point deficit, with hopes of reclaiming La Liga looking slimmer still. Last season, Madrid fell behind early on and were never able to catch up; this term, Ancelotti's side are also in danger of slipping too far off the pace in October. Defeat, therefore, would be disastrous. http://markting10.nl/ "This team, for all the individual quality it has, should be playing better," Ancelotti said on Friday. "We need to improve defensively and in the speed of our play. It is the start of an important week - Malaga, Juventus and Barcelona - and the team is focused to try and win [those games]." Wise words, but Madrid must now respond on the pitch. And even though the Italian went on to discuss his close relationship with Madrid president Florentino Perez, he knows only winning will be enough to silence the doubters in what has been an unconvincing start to his reign at Real. Over to you, Carlo.
