Chiellini has received his fair share of criticism following some disappointing performances and he again failed to impress in Juventus' 2-2 Serie A draw against Genoa last weekend. "It is true that he has made some mistakes this season, but people act like Juventus' problem is Giorgio Chiellini," Claudio said to Tuttosport. "The media attacks are excessive in my opinion. It looks like they're after a scapegoat after every disappointing result. Giorgio doesn't deserve this treatment. He has done a lot for Juventus in the last six years and was the best defender in Italy for three seasons.
