Dec 17, 2010 Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta says the club won't be operating a quick-buy strategy in January's transfer market, but admitted good chances to bolster the squad may be taken. He also laid to rest speculation surrounding the futures of Amauri, Gianluigi Buffon and captain Alessandro Del Piero, who is waiting for a new deal. "For the market we will try to take advantage of the opportunities which come our way," Marotta told Tuttosport. "But we will only do it to sign players who are stronger than what we have, and so it will be difficult. "We had made some big investments in June, and so I cannot see any more. "Buffon and Del Piero don't represent any issues. Those two and Amauri will be protagonists."

Giuseppe Marotta: I Am Surprised How Quickly Milos Krasic Has Hit Top Form Milos Krasic has taken little time to settle in at Juventus and has surprised even the people who signed him Dec 16, 2010 General director Giuseppe Marotta has spoken of the difficulties of landing former CSKA Moscow winger Milos Krasic at Juventus, and how impressed the 53-year-old has been with the Serbian international in how quickly he settled in at the Turin club. "It wasn't easy [signing Krasic], that's for sure. Talks with his former club were difficult. But the major factor in the deal was that Milos wanted to play at Juventus. As you can see, neither of us didn't get what we wanted," Marotta told bobsoccer.ru. "I certainly don't doubt the quality of Krasic, otherwise myself and Marco Naletilic [the player's agent], who led the negotiations on our behalf, would have fought so hard to make it happen. However, I confess I did not expect that Milos would adapt so quickly; both as a player and a person. Marotta was asked, after signing Krasic, whether he had any other candidates from the Russian market he was looking at. "You know my answer to that? Even if I had considered it, I wouldn't say. Let me just say the Russian market, as well as the Ukrainian, is always under supervision," said the director. Marotta also gave his respect and congratulations to the work done by an Italian coach in Russia, Luciano Spalletti. "Luciano is a specialist of the highest level and a very decent man. I am glad he got the run he did in Russia. I understand he likes St. Petersburg and he can continue to achieve things with Zenit.

Andrea Agnelli: Calciopoli Was A Ridiculous Process Juventus president slams the Calciopoli process... Dec 15, 2010 Juventus president Andrea Agnelli has brandished the whole Calciopoli scandal as nothing more than ridiculous. The two revoked Scudetti have commanded great interest from the Italian chief who has applied to the FIGC for the restoration of the two stripped titles based on evidence which has emerged at the current Calciopoli trial at the Tribunal of Naples. As things stand, the FIGC have confirmed they would open an investigation based on Agnelli's request which was filed in May 2010, but they are following the trial in Naples before making further decisions. And Agnelli feels the 2006 sports trial was flawed - another reason he feels those titles were fully deserved. "Calciopoli? It's a part of our identity which needs to be clarified soon. We have to wait for the decisions from ordinary justice. Of course, if it is possible to accept it..." he told club chiefs during a dinner, as reported by La Repubblica. "Everyone knows what I think about Calciopoli - and that it is a ridiculous process. The lawyers have told me that they were unable to read all the legal documents."
