Juventus vs AC Monza: Preview and Prediction Juventus will take on Monza in their final Serie A match of the 2023/24 season, looking to end their campaign on a high. Juventus are winless in their last six league matches, and the home fans will demand a strong performance from the players when they welcome AC Monza to the Allianz Stadium in their final Serie A game of the 2023/24 campaign. The Bianconeri are currently third in the league table, and they will be hoping to finish the season strongly. It has been a disappointing campaign for a club of their stature, and they are expected to win major trophies every year. It will be interesting to see if the home team can give the fans something to cheer about. ............ Team News & Tactics Juventus Juventus are likely to shape up in a 3-5-2 formation against AC Monza, with Wojciech Szczesny in goal. The back three should feature Danilo alongside Federico Gatti and Gleison Bremer. As for the midfield unit, the in-demand Adrien Rabiot will look to add control and composure to the side alongside Fabio Miretti and Weston McKennie. McKennie will look to add creativity, goals and drive to the side, while Miretti will help out defensively. Timothy Weah and Filip Kostic will start on the flanks. They will look to contribute at both ends of the pitch. Finally, Dusan Vlahovic will lead the line for Juventus against AC Monza, with Federico Chiesa alongside him. Probable Lineup (3-5-2): Szczesny; Danilo, Gatti, Bremer; Weah, McKennie, Rabiot, Miretti, Kostic; Chiesa, Vlahovic AC Monza Probable Lineup (4-2-3-1): Di Gregorio; Birindelli, Mari, Izzo, Kyriakopoulos; Bondo, Gagliardini; Colpani, Pessina, Mota; Djuric Key Stats Juventus have drawn their last six matches in Serie A. Monza have failed to win their last eight matches in Serie A. 12 goals have been scored in the last five matches between Juventus and AC Monza. Monza have scored just five goals in their last six matches in all competitions. Juventus have conceded seven goals in their last six matches in all competitions. Player to Watch Federico Chiesa The 26-year-old winger has eight goals and two assists in Serie A this season, and he has been in impressive form. Chiesa produced an impeccable display against Bologna last time out, and he managed to get on the scoresheet. ............ Prediction Juventus 2-0 AC Monza Juventus have not been able to win games in recent weeks, but they are the favourites heading into this contest. They have the better team and they should be able to grind out all three points here. Meanwhile, the visitors are completely devoid of form and confidence right now. They are likely to come up short once again. Juventus have the quality in the final third to punish a vulnerable AC Monza defence, and a comfortable home win is on the cards. Calafiori Favors Juventus over Chelsea and Leverkusen Juventus would like to help Thiago Motta with some pieces he’s already familiar with, and Riccardo Calafiori has long been their top target to bolster the defense. They have the inside track over the competition, but a complete agreement hasn’t been struck at this stage, Alfredo Pedullà informed. ............. Juventus will have to disburse at least €25M plus add-ons for Calafiori, or insert a makeweight that could entice the counterparty. The defender would rather stay in Italy and move to Turin even though he has received interest from Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen. The Bianconeri offered him €1.8M per year plus add-ons in their opening offer and will have to improve it to come to terms. ............. Despite the insistent rumors, the Rossoblù are in a good spot concerning the defender, other than a resale clause they’ll have to give Basel. It’ll be interesting to see whether they’ll be practical, as it’ll still be a major profit, or put up fierce resistance to put a spoke in the wheel of the team that will steal their coach from under their nose. Juventus made more money winning the Coppa Italia than the English FA Cup winner The English Premier League and its other competitions typically receive a lot of publicity, and it seems they are the most commercialised in the world. This should ideally earn the teams competing in them more money, and the Premier League does. ............. However, the same cannot be said of their domestic cups, as Juve made more money from winning the Coppa Italia than Manchester United or Manchester City will make from winning the FA Cup. The report claims the Bianconeri scooped 7.5 million euros, plus 45% of the proceeds from the final, while the winner of the English FA Cup will make 4.5 million euros. ............. Juve will be eager to end the term by beating Monza this weekend, and the boys from Brianza will also want to get the win. Their manager, Raffaele Palladino, has now spoken about Montero, who played for Juventus just like himself and said: “I think he was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met in the world of football, it may seem paradoxical but it’s true. I have fantastic memories of Paolo. Going from the Primavera to the first team isn’t easy but I think this sort of barrier has been broken regarding the leap from youngsters to seniors.” ............. Now that Allegri has left the Allianz Stadium, the next manager will have to decide whether to include Miretti in his plans. Thiago Motta is likely to keep him in his group. Brambati defends the decision to cut Locatelli from the latest Italy squad Massimo Brambati has defended Luciano Spalletti’s decision not to include Manuel Locatelli in his preliminary squad for Euro 2024. The midfielder was an important member of the Italy team that won the last edition of the competition. ............ Brambati is not surprised by the decision to leave Locatelli out, insisting that the midfielder has regressed since moving to Juve. He said: “I knew for 2 weeks that Fagioli was there. Isn’t Locatelli here? I agree because he hasn’t grown, but he has deteriorated, I’m sorry to say. involved because you had to put a high-quality midfielder alongside him in January.

Preview: Juventus vs. Monza Wrapping up another tough season in Turin, Serie A giants Juventus can only finish third at best, as they tackle mid-table Monza on Saturday. ............ Match preview After the dramatic sacking of one of their most successful coaches, following a very public post-cup final meltdown, Juventus asked former defender Paolo Montero to step up from the club's primavera and steady the ship. ............ Against Bologna last time out, Juve met the veteran coach's likely successor Thiago Motta, with the two teams locked together on points in a duel for third place: Montero's side initially slumped to a three-goal deficit at Stadio Dall'Ara, but they bravely fought back and Kenan Yildiz struck a late leveller. Throughout their Serie A history, the Turin giants have only once before recorded a run of seven consecutive draws - between March and April 1971 - and in order to have a good chance of overtaking Bologna, they ideally need to avoid matching that streak on Saturday. Juve famously lost their only previous home game against Monza in the top flight, and another slip-up this weekend would end a below-par season in frustrating fashion. ............ Team News After Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli finally returned from his betting ban against Bologna, only Mattia De Sciglio and fellow wing-back Andrea Cambiaso are set to miss Saturday's game - De Sciglio is still hampered by a thigh problem, while the latter must serve a suspension. Timothy Weah is expected to replace Cambiaso on the right flank, while Filip Kostic and English winger Samuel Iling-Junior contest a place on the left. Having sparked Juve's late fightback on Monday, Federico Chiesa can now claim a personal record, despite seeing another season scarred by injury; the Italy striker has scored eight goals in Serie A this term and needs just one more to post his best tally yet. Top scorer Dusan Vlahovic made his 100th appearance for Juventus last time out, but both he and Chiesa could make way for Arkadiusz Milik and Kenan Yildiz up front if interim coach Paolo Montero decides to mix things up for the season finale. ............ Juventus possible starting lineup: Szczesny; Gatti, Bremer, Danilo; Weah, Miretti, Locatelli, Rabiot, Iling-Junior; Chiesa, Vlahovic Monza possible starting lineup: Di Gregorio; Birindelli, Izzo, Mari, Kyriakopoulos; Bondo, Gagliardini; Colpani, Pessina, Mota; Djuric We say: Juventus 2-1 Monza Putting the full stop on an uneven campaign, Juventus can take advantage of Monza's wilting form and finish the season with an overdue win. Then, a busy summer awaits the Bianconeri's new boss, who will be expected to get a well-paid squad back in contention for the Scudetto. Juventus vs Monza: Preview Juventus will bring their season to a close when they host Monza at the Allianz Stadium on Serie A Matchday 38, and for both teams, there is only pride to play for in the final round. The Bianconeri are equal third with Bologna on 68 points, they have sealed Champions League qualification for 2024/25, and they drew 3-3 in a thrilling match against the Rossoblu in the previous round. Coach Massimiliano Allegri was sacked after the Coppa Italia triumph against Atalanta, and Paolo Montero took over in an interim role. ............ Juventus vs Monza: Predicted line-ups Juventus are expected to start in the 3-5-2 formation, with Montero putting Timothy Weah in place of the suspended Andrea Cambiaso, and Samuel Iling-Junior on the left flank instead of Filip Kostic. Fabio Miretti should start in midfield, but it is possible that Nicolo Fagioli could make his first start in months. ............ Juventus Preparing to Bring Chiellini Back to the Club Giorgio Chiellini is ready to return to Juventus after spending two years at Los Angeles FC, the first as a player and the other as a development coach. The Bianconeri will undergo substantial changes in their management in the coming weeks. The legend should be part of the additions. Cristiano Giuntoli will appoint his former right-hand man Giuseppe Pompilio and Cesena’s director Stefano Stefanelli. The role of the former defender will be finalized later on. It’ll be closer to the front office than the squad and the coaching staff. His brother Claudio is currently managing the Next Gen team. ............ Juventus have often floated the idea of bringing in a club legend, such as Alessandro Del Piero and Gianluigi Buffon, but Chiellini has significantly better chances and has been preparing for it for a while. The Bianconeri will also hire some new scouts to replenish the department. The new head one should be Matteo Serra from PSG. Napoli’s Leonardo Mantovani and Maurizio Micheli and Genoa’s Matteo Scala are also on their radar. Read more -> https://cultofcalcio.com/juventus-preparing-to-bring-chiellini-back-to-the-club/

Juventus is closing in on a €20 million new goalkeeper Juventus is closing in on a move for Monza goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio as they look to sign a long-term replacement for Wojciech Szczęsny. Their number one is still a solid goalkeeper, but he is already 34, and Juve has deliberately lowered the average age of their squad over the last few transfer windows. They believe Di Gregorio is the goalie their team needs in the long term, and they have been in talks with Monza about signing him. The discussions are making good progress in a deal that could eventually cost the Bianconeri around 20m euros. ............
