Thiago Motta makes decision over the futures of De Sciglio & Weah New Juventus coach Thiago Motta has rendered his decision over the futures of Mattia De Sciglio and Timothy Weah. The 41-year-old is currently working alongside the club’s Football Director Cristiano Giuntoli to define next season’s squad. De Sciglio won’t be part of Motta’s plans. ............ The versatile fullback has been on the Old Lady’s books since 2017, and has a contract running for another year. Nevertheless, Motta doesn’t intend to rely on his services next season. Therefore Giuntoli will be looking to sell the former Milan man and collect a small transfer fee. ............ On the other hand, the new Juventus coach has reportedly expressed his desire to keep Weah at Continassa. Motta believes the 24-year-old can be useful as an offensive winger in his 4-2-3-1 system. He can either play on the right side as he often does for the American national team, or as an inverted winger cutting from the left. ............ Fagioli cherishes Euro 2024 debut: “Extraordinary, this was my personal revenge” Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli was ecstatic with his debut at Euro 2024 which ended in a dramatic 1-1 draw between Italy and Croatia. ............ Fagioli had a positive impact in his brief cameo. The 23-year-old replaced Jorginho in the dying minutes and proved to be a dynamic presence in the middle of the park. The Juventus star expressed his excitement after making his first appearance in a major international tournament. “Personally I had a wonderful moment, my debut at the European Championship was beautiful,” said the Bianconeri youth product in his post-match interview. “Coming in with a goal down and managing to equalize thanks to a beautiful goal from Zaccagni was extraordinary, an indescribable emotion.” Fagioli admitted that his moment represents personal vengeance following his long suspension due to illegal betting. “Yes, definitely. It’s my revenge. ............ Read more -> https://www.juvefc.com/fagioli-cherishes-euro-2024-debut-extraordinary-this-was-my-personal-revenge/

Progress on Thuram, first signings imminent, Kean on the move With the deal for Douglas Luiz all but settled (more on him later), another name in the midfield has started to be thrown around in earnest over the last week or so, and that’s Kephren Thuram. The 23-year-old, who currently plys his trade at OGC Nice, has been zeroed in on as the second signing in the continuing remake of the Juventus midfield. The team had hoped to sign Adrien Rabiot to yet another extension in the offseason, but he and his momgent, Veronique, have dithered when it comes to a decision on Juventus’ contract proposal. Fed up with waiting (and in the face of Veronique likely demanding a ridiculously exorbitant salary that the club simply won’t pay, the club has moved on to Thuram. Son of former Juve defender Lilian and brother of current Inter forward Marcus, Kephren Thuram has turned heads at Nice lately, but he’s made it clear to the French club that he has no intention of extending his contract, which expires at the end of the coming season. That would give Juve a clear negotiating advantage, as Nice won’t be in position to dictate the terms of a deal quite as much as they would have liked. Thuram was born in Reggio Emilia just a few months before his father signed with Juventus, and was raised in Turin for the first five years of his life, a fact that could also give Juve an edge in vying for his signature. Indeed, according to a report by Daniele Longo at Calciomercato, Juve have agreed in principle to personal terms with the Frenchman, and that Cristiano Giuntoli has taken a closer role in negotiations with the Ligue 1 outfilt to get the deal over the line quickly, lest anyone else come in and disrupt things at the last minute. Nice are looking for €25 million for the striker, but Juve are hoping to use the pressure of a contract year to push that closer to €18-20 million, or perhaps push down the monetary costs with a makeweight like Arkadiusz Milik. ............ Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea are set to complete their medicals with Aston Villa within the next 24 hours, clearing one of the last major hurdles before the complex deal for Luiz is complete. The Brazilian midfielder is currently with the Brazilian national team at the Copa America, but is likely to complete his while at the tournament. As for Di Gregorio, the major hurdle in front of his announcement has been the exit of incumbent keeper Wojciech Szczesny. Szczesny’s potential move to Saudi Arabia had been on hold for a week or so, but now looks like it’s headed for the finish line soon, which would clear the way for Di Gregorio’s arrival to be made official. ............ Multiple reports, including one from Fabrizio Romano, have identified Kean as the primary target of new Fiorentina manager Raffaele Palladino. ............ Occasione clamorosa per De Pay. L'Austria si salva sulla linea di porta a portiere battuto.
